Speaker 1 (00:00):
Now this morning show in Boston, Billy and Lisa in
the morning.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
It's just a great start to my day on.

Speaker 3 (00:07):
Hey everybody, good morning and welcome to the Billy and
Lisa Show. I'm justin Billy, Lisa, Winnie, the whole cru
is here on a Tuesday morning, and thank you so
much for joining. As always, you can hear the show
on the iHeartRadio app worldwide. Just search for Kiss one.

Speaker 4 (00:21):
Await.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
You can leave a talk back there too. Look for
that little microphone button and record your talk back, your
message right into your phone. It's that easy. Let's get
right into it. You hear about that wedding party bus
that got star rowed, Well, Lebron.

Speaker 5 (00:34):
And the groom had a pretty good laugh about a
minor wedding day mishappened Boston recently, and of.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
Course it was all caught on camera.

Speaker 5 (00:41):
The newly weds and their wedding party were riding a
party bus interception with the bus got stuck under a
low overpass on the city's store drive. The groovesman his expression,
they're set at all and that's so common in Boston.
There is actually a name for it. It's called getting
store ROADEDE says that the miner bumping the road is

(01:02):
a true sign they are to be together.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
I can't wait for star Owing season.

Speaker 6 (01:08):
A couple more weeks.

Speaker 7 (01:09):
I when I saw this story, I really liked their attitude.
Nobody freaked out. Nobody got angry at the minibus driver.
Everybody's you know, when it happens. It happened sign okay,
but fine, fine the driver.

Speaker 8 (01:26):
And it wasn't their vehicle, it was in the driver.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
They're not liable when it's the driver.

Speaker 6 (01:31):
Now where they were going Vanatzia? Oh yeah, right on
the water, Yeah, yeah, on the right.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
If anybody knows Stephen Vartenni, I think Bartini Bartini, Yeah, yeah,
have them call us. We'd love to talk to him
about this.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
Yeah, they were cool. Too many people freak out when
something happens on the wedding day. Oh my god, this
is horrible. It's only gonna be something you laugh about
years later.

Speaker 8 (01:52):
Well, I would only care if I was liable. But
if they have the higher driver, not my project.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
It's just typically they're the moving trucks and you're driving
them rented trucks exactly, and you're liable.

Speaker 8 (02:02):
But in this when you have the driver from the company.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
Yeah, you're good. Yeah. I don't know where he's working
right now, but well.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
The signs are everywhere. Yeah, and without fail every year
first week.

Speaker 9 (02:14):
Of September at least sever Yeah, end of August, first
week of September.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
The moving trucks. Now, do we think they need to remeasure?

Speaker 8 (02:20):
Like maybe they're saying that it's like eight you know,
eight feet six inches, maybe it's.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
Eight three like, is that the issue?

Speaker 10 (02:27):
Does it happen so much?

Speaker 7 (02:29):
No, I think it's got to be pretty accurate. It's
it's done by like inspectors.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
Yeah, it's just that there's so many short bridges, so
many low ridges. What are they going to do? Rebuild
them all?

Speaker 2 (02:40):
That would say forever? Yeah, and it's unlike most places
in the country.

Speaker 10 (02:44):
Oh yeah, it's just lower than usual.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (02:48):
Don't they deflate the tires to get the truck out.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
Yeah, it's one of the things you have.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
Yeah, there's a bridge right down the street here in
Maldon that trucks get caught in all the time too.
Twice I've left the radio station and drove by in
the truck was jammed unneath the bridge.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
Oh that's where you get on and take a left
right street.

Speaker 7 (03:05):
Yeah, okay, yeah, all the time, we have the bride
on the phone. Her name is Vartny and she's calling
in from Watertown. Good morning, Vartny, good morning.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
This is so funny.

Speaker 7 (03:16):
So we're talking about the story and you were listening,
and what do you know there you are.

Speaker 11 (03:21):
Well, I actually happened. I wasn't listening. My planner was listening.
Shout out to Taylor from Charlestown, who also listens to
your show and loves you. So Taylor called me and
she's like, you need to call them immediately.

Speaker 7 (03:34):
Vartany how dare you not be listening to this morning show?

Speaker 2 (03:37):
How dare you?

Speaker 11 (03:38):
I grew up listening to it with my mom. So
this is this is incredible.

Speaker 7 (03:44):
Well, first of all, congratulations to you and your husband.

Speaker 11 (03:48):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
Okay, so walk us through it.

Speaker 7 (03:51):
You had just tied the knot and you were going
from the church to the party, the reception, so to speak.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
What happened.

Speaker 11 (04:01):
Yeah, So we got married at Saint James Armenian Church
in Watertown and we got on the party bus to
head to Venezia where a reception was and the party,
I mean, we're having a good time in the back
of the party bus and dancing, having a good time,
ready to continue.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
The good time, and then.

Speaker 11 (04:26):
There was a glass over the top of the party bus.
So we kind of looked up and we're like, oh,
we're on stro drive, like what like this isn't this
isn't good.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
He should not have come this way.

Speaker 11 (04:40):
And my maid of honor happened to be recording the
video just because she's like what is everyone looking at
because she's not from the area, She's from California, so
she's like everyone's kind of like bracing for impact, like
what is going on? And that's when we passed the
chains that were hanging down because they're is like clearance

(05:01):
warnings basically, and so he passed that or he must
have hit the chains, I don't know. The music was
blasting and then he inched closer, slowing down towards the bridge,
where he did, in fact scrape the top of the bus,
and that's when everyone's shocked. We're all looking around, like
what is going to happen right now? He stopped and

(05:24):
then we all sat down because we're like, Okay, what
if someone rear ends us right now? Like this could
turn into a very chaotic real quick and he was
able to reverse off of Sorrow onto the exit ramp.
By some miracle. We were all safe. We didn't need

(05:44):
a police detail, and it all ended very happily. But
in the moment, I was extremely shocked and panicked. And
if you did watch the actual video recording, as my
I turned to my husband and he's like pumping everyone up.

(06:05):
That's like his mo o. He's like, nothing's going to
stop us. We're going to have an incredible time. This
is going to be the best night ever. And it
really was. And we got to our wedding a couple
of minutes late. And I mean no one at our
wedding venue even knew that it happened, because we didn't

(06:26):
even talk about it. It was just like a funny
story on the party bus.

Speaker 7 (06:30):
Well, you got to love your husband though, he stepped
in and took charge. Well, first of all, what's his name,
Stephen Akean Steven, Good.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
Job, buddy.

Speaker 7 (06:39):
So you must be sitting there saying, boy, I think
I got the right guy.

Speaker 11 (06:44):
Yeah, definitely, definitely. He's the he's the calm to my
to my crazy.

Speaker 7 (06:49):
Uh now, so everything you get to the reception, I'm
sure that was the buzz story. For a while, right,
Oh my god, we almost didn't make it. We hit
a bridge.

Speaker 11 (06:58):
We didn't even talk about it. You were so ready
to party and have a good time. It was just
like one like glimpse of like the entire day and
we just danced the night away.

Speaker 7 (07:12):
Good for you, guys, because so many people would let
it ruin their day, you know, and you guys just
forged ahead and you had a great time.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
Was there a honeymoon?

Speaker 11 (07:21):
We went to the Cape for a couple of days,
like true Bostonians. But we do have a trip that
we're working on planning right now in a couple a
couple of weeks.

Speaker 7 (07:34):
Well great, well, you know what. Congratulations, that's a great story,
especially the way you all handle it. And give our
love to your husband.

Speaker 11 (07:41):
Thank you. I know he wanted to be on that.
He's at work in a meeting.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
So on the job again, doing the right things.

Speaker 12 (07:49):
Guy from the Planet Fitness Kiss one Away Studios.

Speaker 6 (07:54):
We we're back with Billy and Lisa in the morning.

Speaker 3 (07:58):
Welcome morning, friends, Welcome back to the show. Justin here, Billy, Lisa, Winnie,
don't forget eight ten this morning. We're getting you in
to see the Jonas Brothers at Fenway Park and there
is a grand prize attached. You'll sit up front, put
you in a hotel in so much more. Eight ten
this morning, be here for that. In the meantime. The
Social Network is one of our favorite movies, obviously about

(08:20):
the start of Facebook, and it was based on a
book written by our old friend Ben Mesrick. And we
hear there may be a sequel. Mister Ben Mesick on
the phone right now. What do you know?

Speaker 2 (08:30):
Good morning Ben, Hey, good morning Billy.

Speaker 4 (08:32):
How are you good?

Speaker 2 (08:33):
Now? Ben?

Speaker 7 (08:34):
First things first, you were the very first person on
Lisa Dunnevan's book Club, and now it's international.

Speaker 4 (08:41):
It's amazing. Listen, it's the best book club in America
for sure.

Speaker 2 (08:44):
I love it.

Speaker 6 (08:45):
Ben, help launch it.

Speaker 7 (08:46):
So yeah, Oh, she's all over the country now, she's
going to Tampa, She's going everywhere.

Speaker 4 (08:51):
I mean, it's amazing.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (08:53):
So I got to ask you, Ben, when there's a sequel,
do you get another hit?

Speaker 4 (09:00):
And what.

Speaker 13 (09:03):
Check?

Speaker 4 (09:04):
I do get a check? Yeah, of course, you know,
I get accredation. You know, it has to say something
about the story based on or something like that. And
you know they are it is being pushed as a sequel,
even though it's going to be take place I think
about fifteen years later. But it's uh, yeah, I'm I'm
I'm as involved as as you know. One who created

(09:26):
the first one would be.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
Yeah, oh yeah, well wait a minute, did you write
the sequel?

Speaker 4 (09:32):
No, So basically, Aaron, you know, has been trying to
figure this out and crack this story for a while,
and he and I go back and forth, and I
knew he was working. I knew kind of the direction
he was going, but it's not No, I did not
write a book or anything, and so it's really, uh,
it's Aaron's script and he's directing. So it's going to

(09:53):
be hit ballgame, but it's going to be related to
the social network, I think as much as Sony can
relate it. Just because that was such a a cultural moment,
I think you would say, so, yeah, it's it's his
own story, but it's based on true events and it
will have you know, I hope Jesse will be back.
I can't imagine it with a different Mark Zuckerberg. So

(10:16):
you know, it'll be the same characters really the way
we drew them. So it's pretty cool.

Speaker 9 (10:20):
It is, and so much has happened, Oh my god,
to talk about listen, you can you can pretty much
blame Facebook for everything.

Speaker 2 (10:30):
Well, I think what happened.

Speaker 7 (10:31):
With Facebook after the movie, the social network, it just blew.

Speaker 4 (10:34):
Up, blew up. When we wrote that when that movie
came out, you know, Facebook was a little thing. It
hadn't iPod yet. Mark was not the new Mark you
see now.

Speaker 2 (10:44):
It was even a little thing on the Harvard campus.

Speaker 4 (10:46):
I mean, you know, nobody knew, nobody knew about it
and uh, and so it's such a it became such
a big company afterwards. That was like its origin story.

Speaker 2 (10:55):
It's like the Marvel universe.

Speaker 4 (10:56):
That was like the origin story of Wolverine. And now
we can see the Avengers assemble.

Speaker 6 (11:01):
It really changed, It changed the world.

Speaker 4 (11:03):
Yeah, yeah, I think it did. And uh and now
now we'll see what he does with it. But I
think it's gonna be much more about you know, where
does that go? Like the Mark wants to rule the
world and change the world, and then he really did. Yeah,
and then a lot of sort of I mean, you
could look at it negative or positively, but I think
knowing Aaron, it'll be it'll be somewhat dark and funny.

Speaker 14 (11:25):
At the same time.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
You know, Justin brought up a good point the other day.

Speaker 7 (11:28):
Do you think the sequel is going to include Zuckerberg's
like UFC fighting and jiu jitsu and.

Speaker 4 (11:36):
Now he's transformed, He's transformed into this like you know,
you're gonna have to work out all the time where
a necklace and his hair And yeah, I think it will.
But I think to some extent it probably you know
a little bit of the transformation of someone from like
a robotic nerd to who we see today.

Speaker 2 (11:55):
Now, aren't you.

Speaker 7 (11:56):
Close enough to Jesse Eisenberg at this point or even
Justin tibberl Lake to just give them a call and
ask him, So, are you going to be in the
sequel or not?

Speaker 11 (12:03):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (12:03):
I know Jesse. I haven't kept up with Justin. That
would have been cool, but no, Jesse and I have
kept up because I'm doing this movie with the Emma
Stone and Nathan Fielder and think we talked about last time,
and Jesse is friends with them, so I've kept up
with him. He's he's brilliant. I think he's just a genius.

(12:24):
I mean, I could ask him, but I think it's
easier just I mean, it'll it'll come out. I'm sure
he's trying to figure out you know, I'm sure listen,
how can he not come back? It's the best role ever,
and I'm sure he'll come back. That would be my guest.

Speaker 6 (12:37):
Do you know the timing of this, like when they're
slaving for.

Speaker 4 (12:40):
Oh yeah, this is all happening. We're in they're in
casting and and they've already I mean, this is this
is a thing, you know, it's it's actually I would
bet they're filming by the fall. That would be my
guest at the end of the summer. So I bet
this comes out next year.

Speaker 7 (12:54):
That would be great, man, I'm thinking of you. You know,
it'd be great. You could talk to your buddy Aaron.
I don't think I didn't notice you call him by
a first name, just Darren. It would be awesome if
they you got them to give you a cameo in
the movie. I mean, you wrote the book that created
the movie. You at least deserve a cameo.

Speaker 4 (13:14):
I mean, listen, I'm I'm with you, Billy, I really,
I really, well.

Speaker 7 (13:17):
Maybe they can have Chess Eisenberger that beat the spit
out of you in the movie.

Speaker 4 (13:23):
Yeah, yeah, a good realistic scene at this point. You know,
I can reprise my role as sexiest bachelor from that.

Speaker 7 (13:33):
Yeah, yeah, you know what are.

Speaker 9 (13:40):
Plug your new book it's coming out right at the beginning.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
Of twenty twenty.

Speaker 4 (13:43):
Well it's it's it's coming out in the spring of
next year. But it's the Chess scandal, the cheating scandal
of Magnus Carlson and Hans Neman, which was this big
cheating scandal in Chess, and it's all about.

Speaker 10 (13:55):
That's the Yes, Sorry.

Speaker 2 (13:59):
You Are book club.

Speaker 10 (14:01):
He's booked for the book clubs.

Speaker 4 (14:02):
Okay, yeah, man, be a lot of fun. And that's
a Nathan Fielder movie. Nathan Fielders writing and directing. If
you know his work, I'm sure there'll be a lot
of anal beads.

Speaker 6 (14:10):
In Sillian Lisa kiss one.

Speaker 7 (14:15):
A wait, how about this the strangest, the craziest way
you met your significant other.

Speaker 2 (14:22):
You've got one, right, Lise.

Speaker 9 (14:23):
This is crazy. So a woman shared her story on TikTok.
She's twenty seven and she said she met her now husband,
well hitchhiking.

Speaker 1 (14:32):
I met my husband while he was hitch hiking. I
was three days into studying abroad in Australia. And my
husband was there at a music festival and he had
gone out that night with his friends and he was
on the side of the corner trying to catch an
uber home, but the rates were too high, so they
thought they would just start walking and then try to
hitchhike back to their airbnb. My friend had a little
bit to drink and she encouraged us to just pull over.

(14:54):
I don't really remember that, if I'm being honest, But
then they got in our car and I was driving
a rental car back to our ab which happened to
be in the same direction, and literally like right down
the street, and the rest is history. We went on
a date three weeks later, officially in Sydney, and we
just never stopped talking and like fell madly in love.

Speaker 6 (15:13):
Wow, that's amazing. That a crazy.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
They're married.

Speaker 6 (15:17):
They're married.

Speaker 2 (15:19):
Wow, what a night that was.

Speaker 6 (15:20):
That's a good story, right.

Speaker 9 (15:22):
I I actually, back when I was in college, my
all of my college friends we were down in Key
west Or it was somewhere in Florida, and we all
like hitchhiked together.

Speaker 6 (15:30):
Oh my god, I mean it was oh, it was
like three of us.

Speaker 7 (15:33):
It wasn't like, well, it makes a little more sense.
You don't see much of it now. I never see
hitchhikers now, but it used to be everywhere.

Speaker 6 (15:41):
It was everywhere, and.

Speaker 3 (15:42):
Then you do see one. It's just like kind of shocking.

Speaker 6 (15:45):
No, it's weird.

Speaker 3 (15:46):
Now it's illegal in Massachusetts. It varies by state, but
it is illegal.

Speaker 7 (15:50):
And think about being in Australia, like you were in
a strange place.

Speaker 6 (15:54):
And this is up. Yeah, it was only seven years ago, right, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (16:00):
That's that's bizarre. But you know, you never know when
are you going to meet that someone?

Speaker 13 (16:03):
Right?

Speaker 3 (16:04):
It could happen anywhere. You know.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
That is a crazy one.

Speaker 3 (16:08):
Yeah, I mean I I reconnected with my wife on
social media. That's how, you know, we had years without
seeing each other. We knew each other as kids, and
then social media is how we reconnected.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
Oh I didn't know that. You knew Jen as a kid?

Speaker 3 (16:19):
Yeah, as young teens she dated my best friend. Oh yeah,
I was a little bit. She was a little bit
out of my league back then. Still is is somethone
would say, Yeah, one could argue that different arenas Yeah, yeah,
but years later we reconnected on social media, So I'm
sure that's a common one. Social media, you know.

Speaker 7 (16:39):
You know what's funny how I got together with Michelle.
I was doing an event, I think it was a
Super Bowl event at like a bar slash restaurant, and uh,
you know, I'm standing there and I was with the
salesperson from Kiss and and I looked across the lounge
and you know, I'm saying, oh, look at that. And
so I said, hey, I've never asked this of somebody.

(16:59):
And I asked the salesperson, could you be my wing person?
And she walked across the lounge and started talking up
Michelle and like for like forty minutes and I'm waiting, Okay,
what's the deal. And then she came back over and
brought me Michelle's phone number. And then I walked by
Michelle on my way out and she said, you're an idiot.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
We met twenty years ago. I love it because I
used to host a lot of fashion shows and she
was in one of the fashion shows.

Speaker 6 (17:31):
Wasn't it like a Macy's fashion show?

Speaker 15 (17:32):
Yes, it was.

Speaker 3 (17:34):
Oh god, well famously and this is your words, not ours.
You have no game. You've said that before none.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
That's why I had to have a wing person.

Speaker 3 (17:43):
You're Billy Costa hot what do you.

Speaker 6 (17:44):
Mean no, he has zero game.

Speaker 2 (17:47):
I would have made a fool of myself had I
gone over there.

Speaker 6 (17:50):
Justin you don't have much game either.

Speaker 3 (17:52):
H Well, I've never I was saying. I was saying
to Billy off the air, I've never asked the girl
for her phone number. Yeah, but I feel like, you know,
if we get to talk and I can, you can
do do it? I think so.

Speaker 12 (18:02):
Yeah, way you met your significant other. I was in
London on Saint Patrick's Day and I met my husband
who's English. He was with this Irish housemate in Q
for a pub or in mine as they say, pretty cool.

Speaker 8 (18:20):
Wow, an englishman.

Speaker 2 (18:21):
I moved back international meetings.

Speaker 9 (18:24):
Oh my cousin is married to a guy from London
and it's really cool and they live over there now
they live in Wimbledon.

Speaker 6 (18:32):
Yeah, they live in the town.

Speaker 10 (18:33):
Thought the tennis, not in the club.

Speaker 6 (18:37):
They live in the actual town.

Speaker 12 (18:39):
Wow.

Speaker 9 (18:40):
She was transferred over there for work and that's how
they met and then they got married.

Speaker 7 (18:45):
A lot of people have crazy encounters, crazy meetings.

Speaker 3 (18:48):
Oh yeah, didn't you meet your Oh my boyfriend.

Speaker 8 (18:51):
I actually same thing as Billy. I was hosting an
event and he was there and I actually went up
to him and asked him.

Speaker 2 (18:56):
Something stupid because I thought he was cute.

Speaker 8 (18:57):
And then we got to talking and they asked my
numb Oh so you approached him, Yeah, I did because
I was like, oh, he's kind of cute. So then
I just started I asked him a question and then
we just started talking.

Speaker 2 (19:06):
But what did you ask him? Like, what did you
decide you were going to forget?

Speaker 7 (19:09):
It was?

Speaker 10 (19:09):
It was something random.

Speaker 8 (19:10):
It's something to do with where we were at in
the in the area, and I said something and he goes,
I don't know, and then we just started talking.

Speaker 4 (19:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (19:17):
I just asked a question.

Speaker 3 (19:18):
Will you aggressed the usual aggressive self? No, fresh, sweet,
I have games. I was very sweet.

Speaker 6 (19:27):
And we're back with Billy and Lisa in the morning.

Speaker 13 (19:30):
I'm not reading a morning person, but if I got
to wake up early, might as well get a good
laugh on Kiss one Away, and.

Speaker 7 (19:35):
The topic is the craziest ways you've met your significant other.
We kicked it off with the woman who picked up
a guy hitchhiking or was picked up in Australia.

Speaker 6 (19:45):
Seven years ago and they're married.

Speaker 7 (19:47):
Yeah, and they're still married. So let's go to the phones.
Alison your first up. Tell us your story.

Speaker 16 (19:52):
I met my husband at the airport in the Cayman Island.

Speaker 10 (19:56):
Oh, that's cool.

Speaker 7 (19:57):
The Cayman Islands are very romantic. Y were you in
the terminal or were you out and about?

Speaker 12 (20:05):
Yeah?

Speaker 16 (20:05):
No, we were in the terminal. It was actually the
day we were leaving, so I was there by myself.
I'm I'm a big scuba diver, so I was down
there doing some diving and he was there for a
wedding and we met next to each other. We we
ended up on the same flight to Charlotte. He was
actually living in New York and I was living in Boston,
and so we He did some things at the flight

(20:27):
attendant and switched his seat so that he sat next
to me.

Speaker 10 (20:34):
Were you happy that he changed you creep out?

Speaker 7 (20:38):
No?

Speaker 16 (20:39):
I was, No, I was. I was very happy. And
it was crazy because neither of us were supposed to
be there at that time. I was actually supposed to
go the week before. Something happened. I had to delay
my trip. He was supposed to actually be somewhere else
with a friend. Something's happened there and he ended up
at this wedding with a coworker instead. So yeah, and

(20:59):
then when we got married. So this happened in twenty seventeen.
We got married in twenty nineteen.

Speaker 6 (21:04):
Wow.

Speaker 16 (21:05):
In his coat, he actually pulled out a note. It
was like a signed note from the flight attendant that
said like this is the future mother of my children
and we're going to get married.

Speaker 14 (21:14):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (21:14):
That's this guy is a romantic. Now you're scuba diver?
Is he a diver? Never mind, that's a weird question.
That's yes. Okay, let's go. Let's go to Megan. Megan.
Where are you calling from?

Speaker 3 (21:35):
Meghan?

Speaker 13 (21:36):
Hi, I'm calling from Boston.

Speaker 2 (21:38):
All I give us a good one. We want some juice?

Speaker 17 (21:41):
All right?

Speaker 13 (21:42):
I met my Uh he's going to be husband or
getting married in November in a ski hostel in Japan.

Speaker 6 (21:50):
Whoa, Wow, that's random.

Speaker 2 (21:52):
We's got some good ones.

Speaker 11 (21:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 13 (21:55):
Talk on separate ski trips with our friends, and he
was with a group, and I obviously thought he was cute,
so invited him to join our group, and so we
skied the next three days together. It was basically a

(22:15):
tryout of sorts and.

Speaker 16 (22:17):
He could keep up.

Speaker 13 (22:19):
So from there we actually both lived in Boston, just
a mile away from each other.

Speaker 2 (22:26):
Wow.

Speaker 6 (22:27):
Japan amazing.

Speaker 13 (22:31):
Yeah, so he thought I was dating someone in my group.
So it took a while. So we came back to Boston,
had a couple of weekends and he finally got the
hint and we had our first date on Friday on
Valentine's Day, February fourteenth, and then a couple of weeks

(22:53):
later things shut down for COVID and the rest was history.

Speaker 2 (22:57):
Wow, and you're getting married this November.

Speaker 10 (23:01):

Speaker 6 (23:16):

Speaker 14 (23:18):
I met my now husband back in twenty fourteen. I
actually handed a post it to him while he was
working out.

Speaker 6 (23:27):
That said let's grab a drink.

Speaker 14 (23:29):
And I have to say I did need a wing
woman for our first date. Wasn't sure anything about this guy,
but yeah, we've been married ever since. Post a love
six forever.

Speaker 7 (23:41):
Wow, it's a little idea, just send a little posted
over and actually has a good tip.

Speaker 2 (23:47):
Put it up on the peloton, you know.

Speaker 18 (23:49):
Yeah, my husband sent me a friend request on Facebook
and we started hatting out dayden and was been to
fourteen years.

Speaker 9 (24:01):
Now.

Speaker 2 (24:02):
That's a good one.

Speaker 3 (24:03):
That was That was my story. I find her on
social media center or a request, sometimes as simple as that. Yeah,
you start chatting. You know, you can do social media
or even games or apps.

Speaker 6 (24:15):
Good morning.

Speaker 15 (24:16):
Just on the topic of weird ways you met your
significant other.

Speaker 6 (24:19):
This does not make me look that great.

Speaker 15 (24:21):
But I actually once dated a guy for a couple
of months who I met on playing Words with Friends
on my phone. It was like a random matchup and
we happened to live in the same area, and we
met up and.

Speaker 6 (24:32):
We hung out for a while.

Speaker 15 (24:34):
But yeah, Words with Friends the dating apps.

Speaker 2 (24:38):
I do too.

Speaker 3 (24:40):
Do you still play?

Speaker 14 (24:41):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (24:41):
I do.

Speaker 3 (24:41):
Actually, I was addicted.

Speaker 6 (24:43):
To you remember that.

Speaker 3 (24:46):
Oh my god, yeah, NonStop. It was actually a problem.

Speaker 15 (24:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (24:50):
Up in the middle of the night while you're.

Speaker 3 (24:52):
During the show, we get alerts. I had to shut
them off.

Speaker 6 (24:54):
Oh it wasn't your wife like questioning what you were doing.

Speaker 3 (24:57):
A little bit.

Speaker 4 (24:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (24:59):
The thing is, I play Random Fuel now because everyone
my life stopped playing.

Speaker 10 (25:03):
Justin doesn't play anymore.

Speaker 3 (25:04):
Like, yeah, I know. It was a complete addiction. Yeah,
because it's it's scrabble essentially.

Speaker 7 (25:11):
Yeah, you know, and now this woman's married to a
guy through that game.

Speaker 19 (25:15):
Yeah, this isn't the craziest story of how I met
my significant other. But I met him playing pick up
ice hockey. Oh, it's just a play it on my
hockey team. We had a pickup game one night, and
let's just say it was love at first ice.

Speaker 20 (25:33):
That's another cool one. I didn't see that coming. Yeah,
these are all these are all really good. I mean
it started with the original one of the woman who
met her husband hitchhiking, which, by the way, correction here
in Massachusetts it is legal hitch hiking only on highways.

Speaker 2 (25:50):
Only you would think that you reverse would be.

Speaker 3 (25:53):
True, right, Apparently that's what I'm being.

Speaker 10 (25:55):
That seems like it seems much more dangerous, dangerous.

Speaker 3 (25:59):
I don't see any hitchhikers on highways ever, They're always
in the.

Speaker 7 (26:02):
You know, regular Yeah, I remember the last time I
saw a hitchhriker.

Speaker 2 (26:06):
Maybe we should get back to that.

Speaker 3 (26:08):
No, it's not safe. Maybe not now I've seen one
up until recently.

Speaker 11 (26:12):
Once you.

Speaker 16 (26:15):
Pick up another, terror starts the.

Speaker 9 (26:23):
I mean, uber and lyft have now sort of replaced
that whole thing, right.

Speaker 4 (26:27):
In some way.

Speaker 7 (26:28):
I guess you could meet somebody on group, don't they
have group?

Speaker 2 (26:32):
They do lift or something.

Speaker 3 (26:33):
Yeah, he's an uber. You can see who the person is.
They have their name and all that.

Speaker 7 (26:38):
Right, Yeah, let's go to Oh, let's go to Brandon.

Speaker 2 (26:42):
He's on the phone. Good morning, Brandon. What have you
got for us?

Speaker 8 (26:45):
Oh?

Speaker 17 (26:45):
Good morning?

Speaker 2 (26:46):
How are you good? Go ahead, Brandon, give us the juice.

Speaker 13 (26:50):
Ah.

Speaker 17 (26:50):
So, Uh, my wife and I have been married seventy years.
We got our first baby. Now, but before that, I
had gone on a few days for their system. Her
and I met her one New Year's Eve. Her brother
was DJing. We shook hands and we didn't say another

(27:13):
word all night.

Speaker 2 (27:15):
Wow.

Speaker 17 (27:15):
So then we ran into each other six months later
outside of a different bar down in Plymouth.

Speaker 7 (27:21):
Now, Brandon, I gotta know now with the sister with
three dates, did anything happened?

Speaker 4 (27:27):
Uh?

Speaker 17 (27:28):
Wee kid?

Speaker 2 (27:29):
Oh so you've kissed your sister?

Speaker 4 (27:31):
Yea, yeah, yeah, Okay.

Speaker 16 (27:34):
Is that weird for you?

Speaker 17 (27:36):
No, it's fine. It makes a funny story.

Speaker 6 (27:38):
Is it weird for them?

Speaker 4 (27:46):
All?

Speaker 3 (27:46):
Right? Well, what's our family? Well, what's her family think?
