Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, welcome back, guys. At least, by the way, I
had to leave early. Her son Max is graduating Milton
Academy this morning and moving on to Brown University. It's
an exciting day for the family here in the Billy
and Lisa Morning Show. But how about this back by
popular demand and back home Patrick Hines and his tour

(00:20):
an evening with Patrick Hines going to be at the
Crystal Ballroom in Somerville tonight. And by the way, co creator,
co host of the podcast True Crime Obsessed, co host
of the podcast The Golden Girl, Deep Dive podcast two
hundred and fifty million downloads, and the podcast happened to

(00:40):
make history in twenty twenty two as the first to
perform live on Broadway. And to think it all began
right here on the Morning Show. And everybody's glad to
have you back in town.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
This is your listener in Canada.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
I heard on the after Show that Patrick Hines will
be in studio on Friday, and I cannot wait listening
to his segment.

Speaker 4 (01:01):
I started listening to his True Crime Obsessed podcast the.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
Last time he was on your show.

Speaker 5 (01:07):
And if you haven't listened to it yet, you have
to get on that a big fan of Patrick, even
read his book, and I'm excited for Frider's show.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
Wow, Patrick, your mouth was wide open for that whole talkback.
So you love this, Oh my god, I do. It
is such an honor and a thrill to be here.

Speaker 6 (01:24):
May I tell you, I I as you know, I
interned you for you for a year in nineteen ninety eight.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
I remember it like yesterday.

Speaker 7 (01:31):
Everyone was like, they don't remember you. I was like,
I know, I know.

Speaker 6 (01:34):
I was not a memorable figure in nineteen ninety eight,
but I remember you guys, and it was so life changing.
And I remember every day being like, maybe today's day
they're going to ask me to be on the air.
Maybe today's the day they're going to happen to be
on the air. And it never happened.

Speaker 7 (01:46):
But here I am. I can't. I can't believe it.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
So we wouldn't even let you in this room barely
now you're at a big well.

Speaker 6 (01:53):
I'm so old and I'm from so long ago that
we were actually across the street at the other at
the other building.

Speaker 7 (01:59):
But you all did let me in the room.

Speaker 6 (02:01):
I remember this was back when the ads I think
were on like plastic tapes or something. Oh the cards, Yes,
the cards, And so I would come in in between
like ad breaks and stack them up for you or
for Karen or whoever it was. I was putting them
in the in the miss That was the only time
I got to be in the room where it happened.

Speaker 7 (02:18):
But every time I would look around and be like,
oh my god, it's happening to Maddie in the morning show.

Speaker 6 (02:23):
And Billy I was saying before we started, you all
were so famous to me, like, so so so famous.

Speaker 8 (02:28):
I was.

Speaker 7 (02:29):
I couldn't believe I was there.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
Well, there's a great time, and we were talking off air.
The grouping of interns that we had at that time
was amazing because Jody Charles kind of ran the board.
She was the executive producer.

Speaker 6 (02:43):
She was I think Krinn was right, and then Jody
was my boss looking exactly yeah, yeah, do you know
that Jody.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
Charles went on to become the press secretary for Mitt
Romney when he was governor. No, from this show to
press secretary for the governor.

Speaker 7 (03:00):
Jody was so smart.

Speaker 6 (03:02):
She was very work driven, very focused, and that does
not surprise me at all.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
I mean, you didn't like her at the.

Speaker 8 (03:09):
Time, but didn't like her.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
But now I didn't like her one in the grouping
of insurance. Yeah, now I'm trying to remember. Her name
was Jordana yea her name? Yes, And didn't she do
something weird in New York City where she lied naked
in a glass box to day.

Speaker 7 (03:25):
Look I this vaguely rings the bell. I see it.

Speaker 6 (03:28):
Talked about when when the people were like, he doesn't
remember you, I'm like, of course he doesn't remember me,
but he'll remember Jordana. And I've got to meet you
in the hallway and you were like, I'm like, I
know you don't remember me, but I was here with Jordana.
You're like Georgiana.

Speaker 7 (03:38):
Of course.

Speaker 6 (03:39):
She was just like young, very smart, beautiful young woman
and she she would always do crazy things like that.
She was always like auditioning for like v H one,
DJ for a Day or whatever.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
She was the original reality star Reality shows kicked.

Speaker 7 (03:54):
Yes, and she was like obsessed with John Stamos.

Speaker 6 (03:56):
I remember that was like her basic who isn't currently
still isn't obsessed with John Samos?

Speaker 7 (04:02):
Wow, you know I was also here, Remember Randy. Randy
was like the.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
Okay, Randy was my intern. Yes, and he became our
stunt guy.

Speaker 9 (04:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (04:11):
Well I was here the day that he broke onto
the film set and shoved the cell phone into George
Clooney's hands.

Speaker 8 (04:16):
George Clooney, that's a legendary star.

Speaker 7 (04:19):
I was in the studio that day.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
George Clooney was shooting the Batman movie in Gloucester, Massachusetts,
and we sent Randy in a Robin suit, yes, as
Batman's Robin, and some I said, just keep getting past
the gate, just just said, you.

Speaker 7 (04:34):
Know what you did it.

Speaker 6 (04:35):
What you told him to do was that the mayor
was on the phone for George.

Speaker 7 (04:40):
They walked him to George and.

Speaker 6 (04:42):
You hear him on the tape go, I'm sorry, it's
the mayor and then it's Matt Siegel.

Speaker 7 (04:47):
On the other end of the phone.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
Randy was in the dressing room with George Clooney. Yeah, Batman,
I'm Robin. I've arrived, and I'm like, this really isn't happening.

Speaker 6 (04:56):
And well, I remember in the studio there was like
some red police siren that started going off, like it was.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
Like the hotline.

Speaker 6 (05:02):
Oh yeah, it was a wild time.

Speaker 7 (05:06):
It was incredible to me.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
So, what if anything from your experience here on this
show led you to be able to do something that
gets two hundred and fifty million views.

Speaker 7 (05:16):
Well that's an old number. We're over four hundred million down. No, No,
that's not you, that's I. Look if that's our team,
that's our team. Who sent that to you.

Speaker 6 (05:24):
I I was like, I was thinking about this last night.

Speaker 7 (05:27):
I actually got emotional in my hotel room.

Speaker 6 (05:29):
I was like, it was a working for you all
was like a life changer because I was just this
like poor kid from Cape cod who got a scholarship
to go to Emerson and and I wanted to be
an actor, and I quickly learned I was no good
at that. I was this little gay boy with this
like high pitched voice and didn't know what I was
going to.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
Do in the world.

Speaker 6 (05:46):
And I came and worked for you guys, and I
my eyes were open to like fabulousness and famous people
and like and and working among that was like possible
for me.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
Well, it's funny because off the air you mentioned that
you were from Yarmouth, Yeah, down in the Cape, And
I said, oh, a couple of weeks ago, I shot
the TV show in South Yarmouth. Yea red jacket, and
you worked there.

Speaker 6 (06:08):
I worked at the Red Jacket for like six years,
and that was another the two most the most formidable
things in my work life were the Red Jacket and
working for you guys.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
Least say we were at least ahead of the Red of.

Speaker 6 (06:19):
The Red Jacket for sure, for sure, but you know
you all took me seriously and you gave me an opportunity.
I'm a very hard worker, and you gave me the
opportunity to do that. And so you know, I when
I moved to New York and I found my way
to podcasting, I was saying to you, like, this was
my only experience working in audio was working with you guys.
And I remember when I was working in bookings for
you guys, we used to send at Christmas, we would

(06:42):
send like little gifts to like the big agencies. I
remember we would send them to Avenue of the America
and that sounded so fabulous to me. And now I
live in New York and I'm like, oh, it's just
sixth Avenue, like you know, and I see it all.

Speaker 7 (06:53):
The time and I'm like, oh my god, I did it.

Speaker 6 (06:55):
But you know, working for you guys is in my
book that I that I wrote and.

Speaker 7 (07:00):
It's invitamental home. I'm in your book. You are so.
My book is called a failure is not not an option.

Speaker 6 (07:07):
It's the twelve silly stories of like my biggest, most
embarrassing failures in my life. And one of them is
about a weekend, or really just a night that I
spent with the actress b Arthur from The Golden Girls.

Speaker 7 (07:18):
Of course you, yes, and I was. I was asked
to be her host.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
In a minute, you slept, I.

Speaker 6 (07:24):
Had sex with b Arthur, the only woman I've ever
been with and weirdly the most masculine sexual experience of
my life.

Speaker 7 (07:32):
But it was amazing for both of us.

Speaker 1 (07:34):
I'm sure it was. It was like to remember that.
And by the way, you are a best seller. Yes, yes,
the book was a best seller. And but I got
that gig being her host and guide for the weekend
because I had lied to my friends at school who
had invited her to come receive an award talking about
all of the celebrities that I worked with on the

(07:55):
Maddie in the Morning Show, which you all probably smartly
kept me away from all the letters.

Speaker 7 (07:59):
I never work with any of.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
The celebrities, but you have a very high pitch for it.

Speaker 7 (08:03):
I know I'm very loud. I'm very loud, but I
I uh so.

Speaker 6 (08:08):
Anyway, there's a whole chapter in my book about like
when I when I gave up the idea of being
an actor, I got an internship working for you guys,
and what it was like to like work on the
matting of the Morning Show.

Speaker 7 (08:17):
It was just like wild and wonderful and so great.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
Well, you're listening to Pator Patrick Hines from the Cape,
who has this show Tonight and Evening with Patrick Hines
at the Crystal Ballroom in summer.

Speaker 6 (08:27):
Are there tickets available? There are, There's some tickets left
for tonight. It's a big it's a big room.

Speaker 1 (08:31):
So what is the show?

Speaker 6 (08:32):
So the show is really it's an opportunity for me
to connect with our listeners. So what it is is
like our doors open at five point thirty for the VIPs.
I'm the one who opens the door. We hang out
for like an hour before the show. Then I do
a Q and A and then the show itself starts
at seven, and it's me telling it's a mashup of
my daughter arriving. We adopted our daughter through foster care,

(08:53):
and it's a mashup of the morning that my daughter
actually arrived and how my husband and I came to
the conclusion that we wanted to have kids, when initially
when we met, one of the reasons we got together
was because we didn't want to have kids.

Speaker 7 (09:03):
We just wanted to have fancy vagressions and name them.

Speaker 6 (09:06):
And then it's a mashup of that story with the
evening that I spent with b Arthur where I just
wanted her to love me and she just got drunk
and hated me more and more and more.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
Wait a minute, the author thing is real.

Speaker 7 (09:18):
It's real. It's I didn't really have sex with her.

Speaker 6 (09:21):
She desperately wanted to, she couldn't.

Speaker 1 (09:27):
Very large hands slappers we call them, Oh my god.
So what makes your podcast so damn popular?

Speaker 6 (09:34):
Well, so true True Crime Obsessed is my original podcast.
We've been at it for nine years, and I think
that the fact that it's a true crime podcast by
itself automatically puts it in a in a in a
in a genre that people just really love and respond to.
Ours is really different from others. We recap true crime
documentaries and we started doing that before the documentary craze.

(09:55):
You know, it's me and my my co host, Julian PENSIVALI.
So it's like a loud gay guy and this like
super opinionated, sassy girl, and we sort of just like
no holds barred. We say everything we think. We sort
of just like leave it all on the floor. It's
very high energy, it's very fast paced, and it's and
it's funny, you know, and it's it's fun and endearing.

Speaker 1 (10:12):
You got a talkback Justin.

Speaker 4 (10:14):
You guys, I'm so excited Patrick Hines is coming on.
My worlds are colliding Jillian and Patrick too. I'm obsessed.
One of my very favorite podcasts. So excited to listen.

Speaker 7 (10:27):
Okay, these talkbacks are incredible.

Speaker 1 (10:29):
What a creation.

Speaker 7 (10:30):
We didn't have this when you were here in nineteen
ninety eight.

Speaker 1 (10:33):
This is why no, we normally had electricity. And Justin
is the godfather of the talkback mafia.

Speaker 7 (10:39):
Justin, I love you, Oh thank you. I maybe we'll
have a b arthurroom, MoMA. I don't know who knows.
Today is young, the day is young.

Speaker 8 (10:47):
I am married, but thank you the same.

Speaker 6 (10:49):
I mean, you know, what happens in the kis win
Away studio stays in the kiss.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
It's always been that way.

Speaker 7 (10:57):
We have we have cameras now right, You're right, You're right, God, Patrick.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
You know I think about you every day. You know,
recent Christmas I did thank.

Speaker 8 (11:07):
You so much to you a wife. It's always a
pleasure to hear from you. Patrick, so legendary. On this show.
For years, every intern seems to have a crazy Billy story.
So I hate to put you on the spot, but
is there one that sticks out? Maybe one of his
rages outbursts.

Speaker 6 (11:23):
Well, I just remember, okay, I'll say this, Okay, somebody
uh this was I don't remember what the context was,
but we were in the studio that it was, you know,
between something and somebody I don't remember who said the
anti gay F word and Billy was not standing for it.

Speaker 7 (11:45):
Billy, you saw me, and you I think.

Speaker 6 (11:47):
You saw the look on my face because I was like, uh,
and you just said something to the effect of like,
we don't talk like that here.

Speaker 7 (11:53):
You are very serious.

Speaker 6 (11:55):
Wow, yeah, yeah, And it was very and I remember
thinking like I don't know what to do. I don't
know what to do, like like I never experienced that,
and and then I didn't. You didn't say anything to
me directly. You just said we don't talk like that here.
And then I kind of just looked around the room
and I remember being like.

Speaker 1 (12:11):
Just go, I just got the chill.

Speaker 6 (12:14):
Yeah, really amazing. Yeah, it meant a lot for sure.

Speaker 1 (12:20):
We had everybody a regular character on the show. The
Mayor of the South then checks in with us every morning.
Oh wow, he's headed down to Peetown for the weekend.
Of course, are you able to get there when I'm.

Speaker 6 (12:30):
Playing Peetown this summer, I'm playing the Art House. I
can't remember.

Speaker 7 (12:33):
Oh my god, I know that must be a dream cometry.

Speaker 6 (12:37):
I mean, for sure, I grew up going there like
on the like whenever I could. I grew up in Yarmouth,
you know, so we would. It was like a forty
minute drive and we would go whenever we could. So
it is, I'm coming home to the Motherland.

Speaker 7 (12:48):
I can't wait. I'm so excited.

Speaker 1 (12:50):
It's amazing and I couldn't wait to see you again
to me or something anytime you want. And by the way,
if you're going home to Yarmouth, yeah, the Red Jacket
where you worked, Yes, it's newly renovated.

Speaker 7 (13:02):
I hope, so the whole place is done over.

Speaker 8 (13:04):
Beautiful.

Speaker 6 (13:05):
It was you know, the fancy resort in my little town,
and I got to tell you they were really good
to me. I've been working since I was like fourteen
years old or something, and that was my first job.
I was a dishwasher. I worked my way all the
way up to like head breakfast chef, so I can
make an omelet. Like the chef said, breakfast is a
big deal there. Wow, good for you. I'm going to
talk to you forever.

Speaker 8 (13:26):
People have so many questions coming in. We're almost out
of time. Just real quick for Patrick.

Speaker 3 (13:30):
Can we ask Patrick if he's going to do a
series on Karen Reid.

Speaker 6 (13:36):
Pretty fabulous. We're in the middle of it right now
on our Patreon feed. We're doing The Body in the Snow,
the five part document series on HBO.

Speaker 7 (13:43):
I don't think she did it. I don't think she
do or not?

Speaker 10 (13:46):
Okay, Well, since we have you here, do you think
that the documentary didn't do anything for her though, like
in appearance.

Speaker 6 (13:51):
Well, I think that they weren't expecting a second trial,
and so I think what we're seeing right now is
that a lot of her words are being used against
her for the prosecution. I think when the defense gets
up and they're gonna be able to show the clips
more fully. I think it will help her, but I
think I think it was inadvisable of her.

Speaker 7 (14:07):
To do it.

Speaker 1 (14:08):
I think I'm thinking if she did it, she didn't
know she did. That's my fielding, same Sat Patrick. So
good to see you. Thanks for having me Billy tonight
in Summerville the Crystal Ballroom. Get your tickets Crystal Ballroom,
Boston dot Com. Good to see you, buddy.

Speaker 7 (14:22):
Thank you so much for in the morning.

Speaker 1 (14:32):
Justin the talkbacks are crazy for this Friday show. Let's
get at least one in.

Speaker 8 (14:36):
Well, Winnie, I want to ask you any plans this weekend? Yes, okay,
that's too bad. Why well, if you could make some time,
there could be something that you could go to. Okay,
what everyone?

Speaker 11 (14:45):
Mike the Truck here, I just want to let everybody know. Sunday, Boston,
Portuguese Special City, All Plava.

Speaker 1 (14:55):
Twelve to eight.

Speaker 8 (14:56):
Your man Mike the Truck will be there running the
stage and I Headlanta this year.

Speaker 11 (15:02):
Old button Court winning coming down to your.

Speaker 1 (15:05):
Man New nose from Extreme Oh no please, I could
never hear it again.

Speaker 8 (15:16):
Yeah, go see our buddy Mike the Trucker he has
a little crush I think on you. Yeah, Sunday, but
City Hall Plaza.

Speaker 2 (15:22):
Who wants to go down to stay home?

Speaker 1 (15:24):
It's the Portuguese Festival Portraguese.

Speaker 2 (15:27):
You go, You're Portuguese, you go.

Speaker 8 (15:29):
You know what, I just might well Winny. The food
there is going to be incredible.

Speaker 2 (15:33):
I bet so.

Speaker 8 (15:34):
That'd be a reason Ago I love food besides Mike
the Trucker, But I would go to see Mike the Trucker.
My buttons baby, Okay, now the entertainment updated.

Speaker 7 (15:43):
With the Billy Buttons.

Speaker 6 (15:45):
When you get there, winn my buttons baby.

Speaker 1 (15:49):
I have a little linguisa Portuguese sausage baby. I don't
like all right, new music Friday. The new Sabrina Carpenter
song Manchild dropped last night and we're world premaring it
right here. I gives all day long, and we do
have a lot of other new music right.

Speaker 8 (16:09):
Justin absolutely so the Sabrina Carpenter. This has been the
talk of the week because they're speculating the songs about
her ex Barry Kyogin. I mean, who knows, but whoever
it's about man that poor soul. Of course, Sabrina teamed
up with the dream team of writers and producers. That
would be Jack Antonoff and Amy Allen, who basically wrote
and produced her whole Short and sweet. So yep, new

(16:31):
Sabrina right there. You can hear more always on the
iHeartRadio app. Also knew this week how about Ed Sharon
dropping the third single from his upcoming album that comes
out in September. He's also doing the iHeartRadio Music Festival
in September. Now, we played this earlier. The song is
called Sapphire. I mentioned that the song sounded a little
bit like Disney or the Lion King.

Speaker 9 (16:51):
Yeah win.

Speaker 8 (16:52):
He said, it sounds like from a song from India.

Speaker 2 (16:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (16:56):
Well, producer Raley did a little research and development Edge
sh Aaron recorded this album in India.

Speaker 7 (17:04):
It is a little slum dog dish a little.

Speaker 8 (17:06):
Bit, and he says that the album is inspired by Yeah,
his time in India. India. Anyway, it's called Sapphi slum
Dog Dance. I know you can't see all three of us.

Speaker 1 (17:16):
Well, now, eventually this morning, you got to pull out
the song from slum Dog Millionaire, the last song in
the movie.

Speaker 8 (17:23):
I'll work on it. Finally, the kid LaRoy. We've been
wondering where he's been, well, we know where he's been.
He's been holding onto Tate mccraye's pocket all over Europe.
Good boyfriend, yes, very very much. So we love them.
But he's got a new song out. It's called All
I Want Is You? Kind of a different sound for
the kid Larroy.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
He should have had Tate join him on the song.

Speaker 2 (17:43):
They don't they have it?

Speaker 8 (17:44):
They do? Yeah, yeah, yeah, they have a song together. Yeah,
a little collaboration there. But anyway, that's it. Go ahead, Bill,
all right.

Speaker 1 (17:50):
Yesterday we talked about the Chris Martin Dakota Johnson breakup
after eight years together. Chris Martin better watch out because
the Dakota Johnson during the Variety Lie Detective Chest and
a lot of celebrities have been doing this. I don't
know why, but he admitted or she admitted to sending
something crazy to somebody. Check it out.

Speaker 8 (18:11):
You once sent a man who broke your friend's heart
a gallon of gorilla?

Speaker 7 (18:16):
Can you confirm or deny that this happened?

Speaker 12 (18:18):
I mean, there's no way that he would watch this,
so yes, I did do that. And it's been quite
a while, it's been some years.

Speaker 8 (18:26):
How would one order something like that?

Speaker 5 (18:28):
Asking for a friend.

Speaker 12 (18:30):
Senders dot com. You can order any kind, any size.

Speaker 7 (18:35):
Truthful gorilla poop.

Speaker 8 (18:38):
I'm on the website right now. They have a list
of the top ten reasons to send somebody poop. Oh okay, yeah,
his couple of them. One is if someone left a
negative review or feedback of something you did. How about
a teacher that gave your son or daughter a poor grade? Yeah,
how about the rich, gloating friend. Send them poop to
knock them down a peg? Send the poop Bill.

Speaker 2 (19:01):
Coming your way.

Speaker 8 (19:03):
Yeah. And finally for your mean boss.

Speaker 2 (19:06):
Oh double double whammie, yeah both.

Speaker 8 (19:08):
Yeah, he's been kind of a douce late.

Speaker 2 (19:10):
You don't have day, so we got him.

Speaker 8 (19:14):
We can get him the megapack.

Speaker 1 (19:16):
Well here, let me tell you this. You can choose
between poop from a gorilla, a cow, or an elephant,
or there is a combination of all three.

Speaker 8 (19:24):
Uh yeah, sorry, Bill, all three. The Mega pack is
on sale right now. It's one hundred bucks. Get it
for fifty.

Speaker 2 (19:30):
How do they acquire this poop?

Speaker 8 (19:32):
I don't know. These pictures though, looks not that appealing.

Speaker 2 (19:35):
It's gross. This is so gross.

Speaker 8 (19:36):
It's a weird story.

Speaker 1 (19:38):
Actress Sidney Sweeney was on fallon last night, and by
the way, he says, her character Cassie is going to
be crazier than ever in season three of You four Everyone,
Where is Everyone?

Speaker 7 (19:48):
Cassie's crazy.

Speaker 6 (19:51):
That's the Cassie we love, exactly, the favorite. It's the
favorite version of her.

Speaker 7 (19:55):
Yes, yes, so she still is.

Speaker 2 (19:57):
Oh, she's even worse.

Speaker 1 (20:00):
Season three Euphoria arrives in twenty twenty six. By the way,
she is in a movie right now called to Echo
Valley with Julianne Moore from the show Sirens, one of
the hottest shows in America. It actually starts streaming today
on Apple TV Plus and Sydney Sweeney. As it happens
this weekend is the Grand Marshal for the Parade of
Champions this weekend for the Boxing Hall of Fame, Manny

(20:24):
Pacquiao and Vinnie Paz are being inducted this weekend.

Speaker 8 (20:28):
She has a couple of punching bags herself, justin.

Speaker 1 (20:34):
I think she's famous for them.

Speaker 2 (20:37):
Where they are, Yeah, we know you, you appreciate them.

Speaker 7 (20:40):
There they are.

Speaker 1 (20:42):
Actress Elizabeth Moss says she sent a personal letter to
Taylor Swift to get Taylor to let them include her
song look What You Made Me Do in the season finale,
the actual finale of Handmade's Tail.

Speaker 5 (20:56):
That was really truly such an honor that she took
the time to read. You know, I wrote her a
letter about what I felt like the song meant for
the episode and her music means to me in our cast,
and so the fact that she said yes to me
was all the feedback that I needed.

Speaker 1 (21:14):
Awesome scene too, the scene where Taylor's song was played,
and uh, I think we broke this story. Nick Jonas
is going to play Paul Stanley, the front man for
the band Kiss, the rock band Kiss, and a new biopic.
The bio pick is called Shout It Out Loud. Now
it's going to take a lot of makeup. Have you
seen Paul Stanley Gene Simmons from Kiss? I have.

Speaker 8 (21:37):
Didn't Gene Simmons famously sleep with like ten thousand women? Yes?

Speaker 1 (21:43):
Yeah, like that's wow. It was the tongue, Okay, I
mean I think he famously had his tongue altered.

Speaker 8 (21:54):
Now it's a rumor. It's a rumor.

Speaker 1 (21:56):
I think it's real.

Speaker 8 (21:57):
He slept with apparently when he five thousand women?

Speaker 2 (22:00):
Oh my god?

Speaker 8 (22:01):
Yeah, yeah, sorry talking about Jean right four eight hundred, Okay,
apparently it's a big man too.

Speaker 10 (22:09):
I love Nick Jonas, but I don't know if I'm
going to believe him in this role.

Speaker 1 (22:13):
Nick Jonas is gonna have to wear all that makeup,
the giant hair, and those giant boots come up to your.

Speaker 2 (22:20):
Kind of tall guys next like five seven.

Speaker 1 (22:22):
I don't think they were that tall. The heels were
that big on the boots that went over their knees.

Speaker 8 (22:27):
Okay, they're going to document. Is Nick Jonas going to
document that part of the story with Jean I don't
know all it's part of the story. Oh yeah, yeah,
it's a famous quote. Jean Simmons said he didn't do drugs,
but he did. Do you know women else? Ye?

Speaker 13 (22:42):
Women?

Speaker 7 (22:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (22:44):
Nick's a pretty good actor. I told you I watched
that series Kingdom. Yeah, he was good in it as
an MMA fighter.

Speaker 10 (22:49):
I just think because he's already a musician himself, it's
gonna be hard to believe him in this role because
I'm gonna be seeing him on stage with Nick, in
with Joe and Kevin.

Speaker 2 (22:58):
The whole time it's called act. I'm just saying, oh,
you're you're all for of this. You're only anti Jonas
and now you're all don't know.

Speaker 8 (23:05):
I'm all about the This is Bill's top story this morning.

Speaker 2 (23:09):
He's only you're so negative about the Jonas.

Speaker 8 (23:11):
I go, dude, dude, we got the new Sabrina song
drop today. I don't care about that. I don't care.
What is Nick Jonas's kiss?

Speaker 2 (23:19):
Do you think they're gonna le Kevin be the drop?
The connect?

Speaker 1 (23:21):
She's just gonna say. The only Jonas brother I don't
understand is Kevin.

Speaker 2 (23:25):
He's the oldest, he started the whole.

Speaker 1 (23:27):
No, I just have never connected with him. Why. I
don't know? Nick and Joe they're cool. Uh So the
Pacers grab Game one of the NBA Finals last night.
They beat the Thunder one eleven, one ten. It's how
they beat the Thunder. Tyreese Halliburton with the buzzer beater.
Heats a little chance.

Speaker 8 (23:46):
To win it final seconds, so fouls to do Haliburton looking,
Haliburton driving, pulls up jump shot with.

Speaker 1 (23:55):
Breaks on the second romatic, unbelievable, why out? Okay, see
Tyrese Halliburton. Ton't it again?

Speaker 7 (24:02):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (24:02):
They keep winning so Earlier this season, Tyrese Haliburton was
called the most overrated player in the NBA really and
since then he's just exploded. He had that he shot
against the Knicks where he won the game, and then last.

Speaker 1 (24:16):
Night, Yeah, Oilers and Panthers have a game two this weekend.
Bruins have a new coach, Marco Sturm, who used to
play for the Brewins.

Speaker 11 (24:25):
Bus It's Marco Sturm. I'm so excited and happy and
r to be beat the new head coach, uh and
be back in Boston at a great time here as
a player, and I'm really looking forward to be to
lead this team and be behind the bench. Let's do
it together, Boston, all right, looking forward to see you.

Speaker 1 (24:46):
We're gonna do it together, all right. Aaron Rodgers now
is with the Pittsburgh Steelers. You're doing a one year deal.

Speaker 2 (24:53):
Want to waste the money for this?

Speaker 1 (24:54):
I don't know. We'll see. I still think Aaron can
do it. He didn't do it for the Jets. I
still think he's got it in him. One season.

Speaker 2 (25:00):
But for what what's one season gonna do for them?

Speaker 1 (25:03):
What do you care? It's for him?

Speaker 8 (25:05):
Okay, yeah, I mean one of the greatest that ever
played the game. They'll fill seats in Pittsburgh. Oh for sure,
they'll fill seats.

Speaker 1 (25:13):
Yeah. We're brought to you by Boston Vision. You're dealing

Speaker 2 (25:28):
It's you Grow on.

Speaker 8 (25:29):
Nicole Shares Earth with my man Billy Costa.

Speaker 5 (25:33):
From the Planet Fitness Kiss one O eight Studios.

Speaker 3 (25:36):
We're back with Villy and Lisa in the morning on Kiss.

Speaker 1 (25:40):
Best Summer Ever. All week long, we've been telling you
to listen on the iHeart app and when you heard
a weekend song, you send us a talk back and
you can see the weekend out at jo Leette Stadium.
And you know what Amber sent one.

Speaker 14 (25:52):
I want those tickets to see the weekend. He is
such he has such star power, it's crazy. I saw
one of his I was a few years ago, Absolutely incredible.

Speaker 7 (26:02):
I would die to.

Speaker 1 (26:03):
Go see it again.

Speaker 8 (26:04):
So he's doing three sold out shows last weekend at
MetLife Stadium. The first was last night. I was watching
some of the videos and pics. Maybe one of the
craziest shows I've ever seen. That's just from looking at
pictures and videos.

Speaker 1 (26:16):
Amber is on the phone. Amber, you there, I'm here.

Speaker 7 (26:20):
You are going to see the Weekend out at you
Let Stadium.

Speaker 14 (26:24):
I'm so excited. My hands are shaking. I'm so, so,
so excited.

Speaker 1 (26:27):
Hey, Amber, can I ask you a question? When you
walk into a room, does everybody say Amber Alert.

Speaker 14 (26:36):
Come on, it's hilarious.

Speaker 1 (26:38):
Oh you get that a lot?

Speaker 8 (26:41):
Yeah? Did they start singing songs too?

Speaker 6 (26:47):
Yeah?

Speaker 11 (26:47):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (26:48):
Amber? Just just how big a fan of the Weekend
are you?

Speaker 14 (26:52):
Oh my gosh, I love, love love His songs are
one of my go tos when I can't, you know,
when there's nothing, you know, when i'm exercise, I'll put
on the Weekend. When I want to chill up, put
on the Weekend. I've seen one of his shows that
was amazing.

Speaker 1 (27:05):
What's the best thing you like about the Weekend?

Speaker 14 (27:09):
The star power? I mean, it's I hate to say,
but it's like original Michael Jackson energy. You've got that
just incredible stage presence.

Speaker 1 (27:18):
Well, Amber, you're going to be there. You're going to
see the Weekend.

Speaker 14 (27:21):
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I'm so excited.

Speaker 1 (27:24):
All right, best summer ever.

Speaker 14 (27:25):
Right, absolutely, best summer ever.

Speaker 1 (27:28):
We love kiss one a wait, hold on, you'll talk
to producer Riley. That's even bigger than the weekend. To
talk to producer Riley on a Friday morning. Absolutely, and
it's all driven by Jeep. The best summer ever. And
this continues on today, tomorrow, through the weekend, all the
way up until the two shows next week at you
at Tuesday.

Speaker 7 (27:44):
Wow.

Speaker 8 (27:45):
Yeah. So just like Amber, how she won is she
was listening to Kiss on the iHeart app. She had
it on listening when a weekend song played, she left
to talk back, which we just played and explain why
you should go to the show.

Speaker 1 (27:55):
Yeah, and that's how you win. It's that easy, justin
you're a diehard fan. Do you have a best weekend,
a favorite weekend song ever? Your favorite one?

Speaker 8 (28:03):
I mean I have so many. I would have to
go back to Early Weekend would be you know, probably
before he became so mainstream. Yeah, I mean i'd play it,
but no one knows what it is. Yeah, you know,
but I do like Cry for Me his newest one.
I feel like cry for Me is kind of vintage
weekend sounding, you know, because the Early Weekend was so dark.
You know, the beats were very you know, melodic. Yeah,

(28:26):
and he kind of went away from that when he
became more commercial. And now he's kind of going back
to that, which I think is pretty cool.

Speaker 1 (28:30):
And imagine now at your light Stadium next week and
this weekend. He's got three shows. So where is it
in New Jersey? I met life, So a lot of
people saw his halftime Super Bowl halftime show and now
they're just going to see him live out at your
light Stadium.

Speaker 8 (28:42):
It's kind of cool. Yeah, it's going to be great.
So yeah, all weekend long, today, all weekend long, make
sure you're listening on the app. That's how you'll win.
These weekend tickets give you the best summer ever.

Speaker 1 (28:53):
Talk back leftovers, Let's go get him.

Speaker 8 (28:55):
Yes, Yeah, big week for Lisa Donovan. I mean graduations,
Max and Riley, her two sons. She's just been celebrating
all week long. She's so tired. Anyway, she left a
little bit early today to go to graduation from Max.
So I don't know if she's listening right now. Hopefully
she is.

Speaker 13 (29:09):
Morning guys, It's funny from the Sea Coast. Lisa. I
just want to say congratulations. I have three sons who
are out of college. Once going into his senior year
at Northeastern, and I listened to Rascal Flats my wish
on repeat whenever they have a milestone. It will help
cut the tears out. Congrats, a happy Friday.

Speaker 8 (29:29):
Nice that's a wish you misday? You know I turn
that off.

Speaker 7 (29:44):
Wow.

Speaker 8 (29:47):
All right, let's lighten the mood a little bit.

Speaker 7 (29:48):
Good morning morning, crew.

Speaker 13 (29:50):
Just want I just wanted to get on and say
a happy birthday.

Speaker 3 (29:56):
To my little COVID baby.

Speaker 13 (29:58):
Happy fifth birthday, Bentley.

Speaker 2 (30:01):
That's so sweet.

Speaker 8 (30:05):
I don't know what he was saying.

Speaker 10 (30:06):
I think I think it was Bentley's sister brother saying, Hi, birthday,
Brent Bentley.

Speaker 8 (30:10):
Let's take a listen here. Well, no, it doesn't sound
like that, they said a couple of times. Yeah, it
sounds like Winny on the air every day. You know
what I mean. I'm sorry I catch it anyway. Happy birthday, Bentley.

Speaker 3 (30:30):
Good morning morning crew. We had to say goodbye this
week to our sixteen year old dog. She was the
greatest dog ever, and in her memory, I just want
to say to listeners, if you're considering adopting a dog,
please consider a senior Edna came to us when she
was eleven, and she gave us the five best years

(30:50):
of our lives. So please adopt, don't shop, and consider
a senior girl or guy.

Speaker 1 (30:57):
Thanks, well said, I love senior dogs.

Speaker 10 (31:00):
You adopted one three, But know I highly recommend adopting
a dog that. If you're looking for a younger dog
two or three, they're already partly trained. Normally, they might
have some manners depending on where they came from. My
Coda is the perfect gentleman. You guys can all attest
to that. And I did nothing for that. I just
got him that way.

Speaker 8 (31:20):
Yeah, so I.

Speaker 1 (31:21):
Can't believe Coda and Titus seven hung out yet.

Speaker 10 (31:23):
You know why they haven't hung out yet because you
have a feral dog. That's why. Okay, your dog humps
me whenever he sees me, he tries to bite justin.

Speaker 1 (31:33):
You should be flattered. Yeah, on the air, and he was.

Speaker 8 (31:43):
But you know what, Titus does follow commands.

Speaker 2 (31:48):
This morning, I'm listening a little bit late this morning,
but so.

Speaker 13 (31:52):
Not sure if you guys talked about the Big Brothers
Big Sisters golf tournament yesterday.

Speaker 2 (31:57):
I had just finished playing.

Speaker 3 (31:59):
And who do I buy Billy.

Speaker 5 (32:03):
Billy, you didn't play golf, did.

Speaker 1 (32:04):
You, Uncle Bill. No, I got to tell you something.
It's a shout out to Jeff and Rob Learnca, the
Leering Brothers. They put this on. It is the biggest
fundraising golf tournament in America and it's for big brother,
Big sister. I do what every year. I think this
was my fourteenth year doing it. At least a dune
of them did it with me this year. It was great.

(32:24):
They raised a ton of money, over a million dollars
in one day. There were four hundred and thirty golfers
on three courses, golf all day for a big.

Speaker 8 (32:33):
Brother, big sister.

Speaker 1 (32:34):
Wow, and you were there. I actually bought a pair
of golf pants, Thank you. So happens I did in
the pro shop. I know I know Billy so well.
Oh yeah, Pine Hills in Plymouth, beautiful place. Yeah, and
I know I know you so well.

Speaker 8 (32:50):
Oh God. All right. So you had a story in
the Entertainment Report a few minutes ago a last Hour
about Gene Simmons and Nick Jonas. Nick Jona's gonna play
Gene Simmons.

Speaker 13 (32:58):
No.

Speaker 7 (32:58):
Paul Stanley, the other front man for the rock band.

Speaker 8 (33:01):
But he's gonna play a member of Kiss, Yes, yeah,
for sure.

Speaker 15 (33:03):
Okay, Hey guys, my dad is a huge Kiss fan,
so I just let him know about Nick Jonas and
he did not seem to be very happy. I don't know,
can't see it, but I guess we'll see how he
looks with all the makeup. But I'm wondering who they're
gonna cast as Gene Simmons. I think that they should
have Benson Boone. He was incredible with the lead singer
of Queen at Coachella.

Speaker 1 (33:21):
Oh good point, it's a good idea.

Speaker 2 (33:23):
Yeah, Oh no, I don't know. Maybe why not Joe Jonas?
Why did I make Jojo Joe acts? Do you ever
see him in Camp Rock?

Speaker 8 (33:33):
Uh No, Okay, that's not on my list of things
that I want to watch. But I don't know who
was in Camp Rock?

Speaker 10 (33:39):
Je Rock was Debbie Levado, the Jonas brothers. It was
like a Disney Channel movie about summer camp and the
Jones has played a boy band.

Speaker 2 (33:48):
But was like, hell, it was a great it's a
great movie. It's two of them Camp Rock too.

Speaker 8 (33:52):
Yeah, I'm just gonna play Gene Simmons. Well we should
ask him himself.

Speaker 9 (33:56):
Hello, this is Jene Simmons of the kiss It's crew.
I've slept with over five thousand women and their names
are right on the tip of my tongue.

Speaker 7 (34:11):
All right, come on, Winnie, that's a definite bing bong right.

Speaker 3 (34:17):
There, Bong kids, it's the morning wrap up on Billy
and Lisa in the morning.

Speaker 8 (34:24):
What do you say we wrap this week up? It's
been a busy one. It's always busy on this show.
Crazy week, Crazy Friday Show. And it's really cool because
we're doing the best summer ever all week long giving
out weekend tickets. A little bit different this time. We
do it on the iHeartRadio app through the talkback feature,
so it's easy to win. You have to be listening
on the iHeart app. We play a weekend song, you
leave us at talkback, tell us why you want to

(34:45):
go to the show, and you could win like Amber
did this morning.

Speaker 14 (34:47):
I Love Love Love. His songs are one of my
go tos. I'm exercising, I'll put on the weekend. When
i want to chill, I'll put on the weekend. I've
seen one of his shows that was amazing.

Speaker 8 (34:57):
And now she's off to see Abel at you lection
next week and we'll do it all the way up
until showtime. So that's all day today through the weekend
Monday Tuesday. Just keep the iHeart app on. And by
the way, Tiffany is in from a cabe after ten
o'clock and I'm looking and I do see the weekend
coming up.

Speaker 7 (35:11):
Ooh, my girl, Tif's got the weekend.

Speaker 8 (35:14):
She's got the weekend coming up. As we go into
the weekend.

Speaker 2 (35:18):
Hell when he does that, a girl, tiff.

Speaker 8 (35:22):
Also this morning, We World premiered the brand new Sabrina
Carpenter song. It's called Manchild. I think we.

Speaker 7 (35:26):
All like it, Manchild, Why you always come are running
to me?

Speaker 8 (35:31):
Blank my life? We had Lisa Donovan do a live
reading of it because apparently it's about Barry Kyogan not confirmed,
but some of the lyrics are pretty juicy. I believe

(35:52):
I have been called a manchild by my significant other
more than a few times.

Speaker 1 (35:56):
I like the line that you say you're finished, I
thought you just got short.

Speaker 8 (36:00):
That's a good one too, you.

Speaker 10 (36:02):
Know what, I get that energy from him. He gives
me like selfish vibes in the bedroom.

Speaker 2 (36:08):
Yeah, like as long as he's all good.

Speaker 8 (36:10):
Just by looking at him.

Speaker 10 (36:11):
Yeah, I don't get I don't really see the obsession
or like the appeal to him. I don't get it.
I saw Salburn weird movie, Like.

Speaker 8 (36:19):
Well, there was some really questionable scenes in that movie. Billy,
have you watched that yet?

Speaker 9 (36:23):
No?

Speaker 1 (36:23):
I haven't.

Speaker 8 (36:24):
You gotta watch it.

Speaker 2 (36:25):
Oh, yeah, you'll never look at the bath the same.

Speaker 8 (36:28):
Yeah, he'll never take a bath from the same way again.

Speaker 1 (36:32):
Okay.

Speaker 8 (36:34):
Also this morning we had topic Time, which, by the way,
we do it every morning at seven forty. We have
a brand new topic every day that you can join
the conversation via calling in or via the talkbacks in.
Today's topic was about bucket lists. What's on yours.

Speaker 11 (36:47):
Good morning morning show?

Speaker 14 (36:48):
You guys are talking about bucket lists, And my husband
and I have one, and it's a travel to all
Tipney states, and we individually have been to a lot,
but we said.

Speaker 5 (36:57):
It had to be together, and so we have a
math and them off and.

Speaker 7 (37:01):
Then it becomes a beautiful, colorful map.

Speaker 14 (37:03):
We also got a world map to be super ambitious
and maybe travel to every country, but that one's super ambitious.

Speaker 11 (37:10):
The fifty state one is definitely doable.

Speaker 3 (37:13):
Have a great day, guys.

Speaker 1 (37:14):
It's an expensive venture.

Speaker 8 (37:16):
I feel like a lot of people do that when
they retire.

Speaker 2 (37:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (37:18):
Travel, yeah, yeah, why not drive across the country. Seems
like a pretty cool one. And and finally this we
had a former intern of this show from a long
time ago. His name is Patrick Hines. He has a
very successful podcast and a live show in Somerville at
the Crystal Ballroom tonight, and he made his return back
home to Kiss One Away today.

Speaker 7 (37:38):
It is such an honor and a thrill to be here.

Speaker 6 (37:41):
May I tell you I, as you know, I interned
you for you for a year in nineteen ninety eight.

Speaker 1 (37:46):
I remember it like, yes, everyone was like they don't
remember you.

Speaker 7 (37:50):
I was like, I don't.

Speaker 3 (37:51):
I know.

Speaker 7 (37:51):
I was not a memorable figure in nineteen ninety eight.

Speaker 1 (37:55):
He's big now, boy, I'll say like four hundred million views.

Speaker 10 (38:01):
I literally could have talked to him all day. He
was had so much energy, great stories.

Speaker 8 (38:05):
Great and by the way, has his own podcast studio
in Manhattan.

Speaker 1 (38:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (38:11):
And he told a story real quick in that interview
where he talked about interning on this show and sending
letters out mail out to the Avenues of America in
New York. And he was like it was such a
big deal and now he lives there. It's like nothing,
he's there all the time.

Speaker 9 (38:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (38:25):
Pretty good story, Pretty good story.

Speaker 8 (38:26):
He's in town tonight, Yeah, really cool. Go check him out.
And I'm gonna check out his podcast too. And uh,
you know, it is Pride month this weekend in Pee Town.
It is the Provincetown Pride. So if you're going, have
a great times.

Speaker 7 (38:39):
Baby all right.

Speaker 1 (38:40):
In the meantime, the Mighty Ones got the day off,
but my girl Tiff is in and I'm told she's
got tickets for weekend during the show, So Tiff, let's go, baby,
