A wait, well, good morning everybody, and a happy Wednesday

the outset of this show on a Wednesday, that Lisa
Dunovan is live from Tampa, Florida.
Speaker 4 (00:21):

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Mike check, I'm here. Can you hear me? Hello?
Speaker 4 (00:25):
Is this thing on lod and clear? Baby, we can
and see you. We're on the Tampa or game plan
for Tampa. Yeah, she's in Tampa. Yeah, yeah, we know Bill.
So she's on Tampa.
Speaker 3 (00:40):
So big book club event tonight right with Hilda Brand.
Speaker 5 (00:44):
Yeah, we're with Ellen her new book The Academy. We're
at Birch Lane, which is a Wayfair Brand store in Tampa.
They are hosting us. Yeah, and we can't We're like
so excited. Tampa's beautiful. The radio station here I met
Mixed one hundred point seven, which is one of our
sister stations.
Speaker 2 (01:03):
I heard seven, yeah, and it was easy. I came in.
Everyone was here, Easy got on the air.
Speaker 4 (01:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:09):
Oh yeah, So there are actual people in the building
in town.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
Yeah, there are a lot.
Speaker 3 (01:13):
See, we don't get to see that here. There's never
anybody in this building.
Speaker 4 (01:17):
There were actual engineers there, Lisa, like like actual humans. Yes.
Speaker 5 (01:21):
Shout out to our boy James, who met me at
the door this morning at four thirty.
Speaker 4 (01:25):
Well, what's up, James.
Speaker 3 (01:27):
Okay, so you are going to bring all of us
and our listeners a taste of Tampa today, right I am.
And now I'm going to bring you and all of
your friends out there in Tampa, Florida a taste of Boston.
Speaker 4 (01:39):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (01:40):
You may or may not know that the Red Bull
cliff divers are coming back to Boston this weekend and
they'll be jumping off the top of the Ica as
they usually do. They've done it for a couple of years.
But the big thing about this weekend is it the
It's the World Championships. World champions will be this weekend
(02:01):
in Boston, and for the first time ever, a female
world champion is going to be crowned here in Boston.
So there they go, right now, right off the roof.
So last night I'm hanging out on the boat and
I look out onto the harbor and I saw a
lot of activity. There were three or four police boats
(02:23):
cruising around almost like they were searching for something, and
everybody was walking out toward the end of the marina
so they could see what was going on. I'm thinking, boy,
does somebody fall overboard or something? Are they looking for something?
Looking for someone? Turns out there was also a giant
sailboat right in the middle of all the fishing boats, right,
(02:45):
so I thought, oh, and there were a lot of
people on the sailboat, big sailboat, giant masts, and I'm thinking, oh,
somebody must have fallen off the sailboat.
Speaker 4 (02:55):
No, that's not what was happening.
Speaker 3 (02:57):
This is so coolf divers who will compete this weekend
for the World Championship, had hired the sailboat to shoot
promost for the big event, and the cliff divers were
climbing all the way up to the top of the
masts way and diving and flipping and twisting and landing
(03:20):
right there in the harbor.
Speaker 4 (03:21):
It was like a private show. Wow, awesome behind the scenes. Yes, yeah, so.
Speaker 3 (03:28):
I just took you behind the scenes of the World
Championship this weekend in Boston, the Red Bull Cliff Diving Championships,
which by the way, is a great event.
Speaker 4 (03:38):
I've gone the last couple of years.
Speaker 2 (03:39):
Yeah, and the weather's supposed to be great, so good viewing.
Speaker 4 (03:42):
Perfect weekend for a little cooler but good, not too hot.
Speaker 2 (03:45):
Yeah, Yehney.
Speaker 3 (03:46):
You know what amazes me about this event when I
go down there. So they're jumping off a roof. I
mean it's very high, but they're not just jumping. They're
twisting and spinning and flipping. But the area they have
to land in is about ten feet in diameter. It's
a picture a tiny little hole, okay, and they have
(04:07):
to land right in the center because you can't help.
But notice the water is only about five or six
feet deep there.
Speaker 4 (04:13):
How does that happen? It's like a miracle. It's got
to be perfect every time, Yes, every time.
Speaker 3 (04:20):
But I got a private showing last night. It was awesome.
Speaker 4 (04:22):
I mean I went cliff jumping in New Hampshire. Might
have been fifteen or twenty feet and it hurt when
I hit the water. Oh yeah, it's stung. Well, you know,
Granite Lynks.
Speaker 3 (04:33):
You're there all the time, right, Lisa Quinsy, And you
grew up there, Yeah I did so. Granite Links used
to be the Quinsy quarry and my brother and I
would go there, as did other people. And my brother
I've always told you how crazy he is. He would
climb not only all the way up to the top rock,
(04:53):
but then he would climb the tree at the top
rock and do like a three and a half summersault
into the quarry. I would have to be this is
why I love this red bull Evan. I'd have to
be down in the water breaking the water because when
he hits with his head, it can really hurt.
Speaker 6 (05:10):
You know what bodies were in the quarry before they
filled them.
Speaker 4 (05:13):
And cars? Yeah, one of my cars is in the quarry.
Speaker 6 (05:16):
Insurance front.
Speaker 4 (05:19):
I was just kidding. I wasn't old enough to drive.
Let it. You have to land a certain way into
the water, Yeah, you have to. You can, you can, really,
you can be killed.
Speaker 2 (05:36):
It's like hitting cement. If you hit it the wrong way.
Speaker 4 (05:38):
It could be concussive.
Speaker 3 (05:39):
That's why it amazes me that these divers go from
so high up and they land in such a tiny
little space.
Speaker 4 (05:45):
So it's this weekend when Fridayday and Saturday.
Speaker 3 (05:48):
And it's open to the public. Uh so you can
get down there and watch them all over the Seaport District.
Speaker 4 (05:53):
It's a cool event. Cool event. So maybe we could
come over and go on the boat and we can
take it out and the yeah, well you know what,
sit on the boat in the in the marina. Watch out.
Speaker 3 (06:07):
Yeah, that's getting sold by the way the Facebook marketplace
and you'll see my fourteen foot inflatable is up for
sale to a beautiful little crowd.
Speaker 4 (06:15):
Not a good deal. What is wrong with you?
Speaker 6 (06:19):
By a car?
Speaker 3 (06:20):
I have only inflatable dinghy with underwater lights.
Speaker 5 (06:24):
It seems a little overpriceding.
Speaker 4 (06:28):
I'm trying to do this thing. I don't know what
the original price was, so I know what the price
you're selling it for, so I can't really say it's
a little bit out of my mind. It's a little
bit out of my bud.
Speaker 1 (06:39):
From the Planet Fitness Kids, one of eight studios. We're
back with a Billy and Lisa in the morning.
Speaker 3 (06:46):
And Lisa Donovan is live from our radio station in
beautiful Tampa, Florida this morning, because well, Lisa, You've got
a big book club event in Tampa, Florida tonight with
Ellen Hill, the.
Speaker 2 (07:00):
Brand we do.
Speaker 5 (07:01):
So we will be at the Birch Lane store in
Tampa it's a wayfair brand store like Joson Maine, like
all modern super excited that they're hosting us. But yes,
Ellen Hildebrant is on a book tour with her daughter
for their new book, The Academy.
Speaker 3 (07:17):
And we saw that she was on with Gail King
on CBS yesterday, so she's kind of your opening act
to Gail King.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
I love you, Billy, but you're right.
Speaker 5 (07:27):
She was on CBS Mornings with Gail King, and Gail
was asking her, like, how did they come up with
this idea for the book.
Speaker 7 (07:35):
Shelby attended Saint George's School in Newport, Rhode Island, and
she went as a sophomore the year after COVID and
twenty twenty one, and when she got there, she was
calling four or five times a day having a wonderful time.
Speaker 2 (07:47):
But the stories were so.
Speaker 7 (07:50):
Mind blowing that eventually, in the middle of her sophomore year,
I said, we have to write a novel.
Speaker 5 (07:55):
Yeah, So they put pen to paper. They left the
island of Nantucket and they brought us behind the scenes
of boarding schools and scandals, and then Gail asked her,
what was it like working with your daughter, Like what's
the process?
Speaker 7 (08:11):
So I, because I'm the novelist. We created the characters
and the arc of the characters together, and then basically
I started writing, and I would give Shelby assignments like
a teacher to a student, and I'd say, okay, you
write the scene where Dobby goes and tells Charlie that
she has to go to first dance. And so Shelby
would write the scene and then send it to me
via email, and then I would edit her. And then
(08:33):
when I would write scenes, I'd send them to Shelby
and she edited me. And that was where it became
very humbling.
Speaker 5 (08:40):
Yeah, very cool. I was going to ask her that
question to you tonight at our book club. Yeah, how
did it work when you had Ellen here for your
book club? But we had a chance to meet Ellen
and Shelby was here too write the Doctor. Shelby wasn't,
but the prior to book clubs, she did like Swansong
and then she did Five Star Weekend and Hotel Nantucket.
(09:02):
So yeah, we've had Ellen at the Lisa's book Club
a couple of times. But this is exciting because now
she's kind of like doing a different thing with the Academy,
and it's about like the saucy like boarding school life.
Speaker 3 (09:14):
Now, is the Academy already signed for a movie deal
or it is?
Speaker 5 (09:17):
Yeah, and it's a two book deal, so there's a
second one coming out, and I think, like Gail King
asked her, like and she couldn't say exactly what streamer
had picked it up, but Gail's like, it's Netflix, right,
Like it's totally Netflix because the Perfect Couple was on Netflix.
Netflix knows that, like Ellen Hildebrand is a sure thing,
like everyone watched The Perfect Couple. So my guess is
it's probably Netflix too, but it's not. It hasn't been
(09:40):
announced yet, but yeah, it's going to be a series.
And then she thinks, like Carrie Washington should star as
like the headmaster the mistress of the school. And she
was talking to Gail about that yet yesterday to in
New York. This is like really fun.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
A lot of people listening might forget that, Yeah, Ellen
Hildebrand was the Perfect Couple too. That was her book
that was made into the TV What a good.
Speaker 4 (09:59):
Show that one?
Speaker 5 (10:00):
And then and then five Star Weekend is starring Jennifer
Garner and that's been picked up already and they're filming.
They were filming on Nantucket last week.
Speaker 3 (10:08):
Wow, and now The Academy will be the next movie.
Speaker 4 (10:11):
Not just that, right, Lisa. Gail King was the lead
in to You.
Speaker 2 (10:15):
Yeah, I love you guys.
Speaker 3 (10:17):
Yeah, well I told you that book Club is getting gigantic.
You're on the road, you're touring the country, and now
Gail King is your opening act.
Speaker 5 (10:24):
It's so cool and it's and tonight you can actually
watch the Q and A I'm doing with Ellen on
the Kiss One to Wait Facebook page at seven o'clock,
so you can watch the interview like you are in
Tampa with us.
Speaker 3 (10:36):
So you just go to the Kiss one to Wait
Facebook page, yep, and that's where you get the stream exactly.
Speaker 4 (10:42):
Now, how's the book, Lisa? You read?
Speaker 2 (10:44):
It's great. I read the whole book last weekend. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (10:47):
It's about four hundred pages and it's filled with like
like scandals like that that are based on a lot
of true stories.
Speaker 2 (10:55):
Like you know, that has things that happen in boarding
school life.
Speaker 4 (10:58):
Real people. I think so, well, yeah, the daughter likely
pulled from real stories.
Speaker 8 (11:04):
Yeah, well, you know there's a lot of scandal in
those little from the Academy.
Speaker 2 (11:11):
The Academy.
Speaker 3 (11:12):
Maybe Academy did they mentioned Milton Academy and they.
Speaker 5 (11:16):
Don't mention Milton Academy, but they do mention Milton, Massachusetts.
One of the characters in the book gets accepted and
he's from Milton, which I thought was really Yeah, that
was kind of cool.
Speaker 4 (11:26):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
Yeah, the book was. The book was really good.
Speaker 5 (11:29):
It's very much in keeping with Ellen Hildebrand and how
she explains like scenes and characters and food and music
and her daughter was really cool because her daughter like
kept her really honest with like what kids wear nowadays,
you know, and what kids are listening to and how
they're listening. So that's all a part. That's all in
(11:50):
the book.
Speaker 3 (11:51):
And do you have your outfits for this evening?
Speaker 4 (11:53):
I do?
Speaker 2 (11:54):
I have multiple outfits. It's hard to pack for a trip, right,
get one.
Speaker 4 (11:59):
Of those chests, you know, ready to go down there
in Florida.
Speaker 9 (12:03):
If Lisa's down in Florida, does that mean Riley's throwing
a rager tonight back in Milton.
Speaker 1 (12:08):
I wonder From the Planet Fitness Kiss one O eight Studios,
We're back with Villy and Lisa in the morning.
Speaker 3 (12:16):
And again Lisa Dunovan is live from Tampa, Florida.
Speaker 5 (12:20):
Hey lease, Hi, guys, it sounds like I'm right next
to you, doesn't it.
Speaker 4 (12:24):
Well, you are on screen, I'm looking right now.
Speaker 10 (12:28):
Now.
Speaker 2 (12:28):
This is like magic.
Speaker 4 (12:29):
Yeah, it's pretty cool.
Speaker 3 (12:30):
So you've got Ellen Hildebrand the Big Book Club tonight,
and we'll talk about that throughout the show this morning. Meantime,
it's time to play a secret sound, presented by six
one seven Injured. You can find him on Instagram at
Injury Money. I should mention Lisa the jackpot right now
is one thousand, six hundred forty eight dollars. We're going
(12:54):
to play the secret sound right now. Okay, good luck
for that. We'll take caller twenty five at six one seven.
Speaker 2 (13:10):
Now the entertainment update with the Villy constat.
Speaker 4 (13:14):
So what do you know?
Speaker 3 (13:14):
We finally have a date and a location for Selena
Gomez and Benny Blanco's wedding.
Speaker 4 (13:20):
They will tie the knot.
Speaker 3 (13:22):
Mark it down, Lisa, September twenty seventh in beautiful Santa Barbara, California,
a private estate. The room's all booked up at about
thirty five hundred bucks a night, thank you very much.
Guests will be picked up and driven to the secret location.
Speaker 5 (13:41):
HM.
Speaker 3 (13:42):
Interesting, it's all locked in Finally.
Speaker 5 (13:44):
I've stayed at a resort in Santa Barbara called Bakara.
Speaker 4 (13:49):
I happen to know that's not the hotel. It's not.
Speaker 3 (13:53):
Well, there's the hotel, but then there's the place where
the wedding is going to be. The place where the
wedding is going to be is the secret location the
hotel is the encanto.
Speaker 4 (14:04):
Wow, you're really all in on this wedding. Well, you know,
Benny's my buddy, all right.
Speaker 5 (14:08):
You know, I wonder if Taylor is going to show
up by Taylor and Travis.
Speaker 6 (14:12):
Well, Travis won't probably Yeah, all right.
Speaker 3 (14:15):
Yeah, yeah, He's all walked into the football season. Meantime,
Demi Levado was on Andy Cohen last night. She and
Sindeina Gomez, you might remember, had sort of a falling
out several years ago. They have since men Defences and Well.
Debbie was asked about both Selena and Selena's new album
Listen to.
Speaker 11 (14:35):
The Selena Gomez interview with Jake Shane, where she gushed
about how good it is to see you doing your
thing and have you gotten a chance to listen to
her album with Benny Blanco.
Speaker 12 (14:43):
I have listened to the album, really, really great job.
Speaker 2 (14:47):
I love the songs on it.
Speaker 12 (14:48):
Blewist Flame was my song, and I heard clips of
what she said on the podcast. It was really really
sweet and I couldn't be happier for her. She's engaged
and yeah, I just wish are the best.
Speaker 3 (15:02):
So at least do you think Demi will be on
the guest list for September twenty seventh, I don't think so.
Speaker 2 (15:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (15:09):
I don't think they're like elementary school friends that like,
we're like, you know what, we had a good time,
but good luck to you.
Speaker 3 (15:16):
I've moved on, you have moved on, and let's just
respect one another from before. They aren't Barney together that's
hell yeah, like the original Barney I Love You, You Love.
Speaker 6 (15:29):
Me, that's going to kindergarten with somebody.
Speaker 4 (15:31):
Yeah, But I think I think Demi's addiction and some
of our struggles really strain their relationship. But probably seem
that they're going doing good now. But I'm at least
I don't think she'll be there.
Speaker 3 (15:41):
We've talked a lot about Cardi B's new album, which
by the way, comes out this coming Friday, and we
now know yes, there will be a tour. It comes
to Boston. The TD Garden April second. It's the Little
Miss Drama Tour. Tickets go on sale next Friday to
the general public. By the way, she co hosted Today
(16:03):
with Jenna and Friends yesterday Jenna bosh Agar your friendlies
and officially announced the toy.
Speaker 2 (16:09):
Can we get a drum roll? Please?
Speaker 6 (16:11):
All right?
Speaker 4 (16:13):
What is happening to us?
Speaker 13 (16:15):
I'll be headed to thirty cities across North America.
Speaker 4 (16:27):
She goes, Yeah, that's going to be a good show.
Speaker 2 (16:32):
We have way bear.
Speaker 4 (16:37):
Maybe she'll do some covers when it comes to Boston.
Speaker 3 (16:42):
April a second, she was asked about her new boyfriend
Stefan Diggs of your new England Patriots.
Speaker 9 (16:50):
You've got a new man or right, Yeah, for the sparks,
spirky sparkling.
Speaker 6 (16:55):
Honey.
Speaker 4 (16:57):
Are you a football fan?
Speaker 14 (16:58):
Now?
Speaker 13 (16:58):
Yeah, I have a football fan. I'll be in the
screen on Sunday every day. Christy people out the Passible.
Speaker 9 (17:06):
And so Stephan he isn't playing yet because he's been
at Hurt right.
Speaker 2 (17:10):
No, he's he's playing. Yes, he's playing, so if.
Speaker 4 (17:12):
You got in to go and watch.
Speaker 13 (17:14):
Him, not yet because I've been preparing for my album.
But after this whole album thing, I'm going to every single,
every single game, You're every single what I've done.
Speaker 3 (17:24):
So, yeah, he'll be in the box, the Patriots box.
Or does Stephan have his own box? Don Brady used
to probably not.
Speaker 9 (17:33):
You normally have to like really be there for a
long time before they let you buy one and get
you I'm sure there's like a guest box you can
go to.
Speaker 4 (17:40):
Yeah, oh yeah, she'll be there. She's excited.
Speaker 2 (17:43):
I've been a bit of lie.
Speaker 13 (17:45):
Am I still maaching Vagina?
Speaker 6 (17:50):
You know what's saying?
Speaker 3 (17:51):
You know, there is just some mornings where I probably
should just stay in bed.
Speaker 4 (17:56):
How about this one?
Speaker 3 (17:57):
Machine Gun Kelly was a guest at Harvard University yesterday.
Speaker 4 (18:03):
He continues to push culture forward.
Speaker 2 (18:05):
So please please join me in getting a massive welcome
to MVP.
Speaker 4 (18:11):
GK name. Uh yeah, he spoke to the business school.
Speaker 5 (18:15):
Yeah, he was all over campus taking pictures, posting an
ig so yeah.
Speaker 4 (18:19):
Yeah, Dua Lipa still on the road.
Speaker 3 (18:21):
She took the tour but Atlanta last night, and in
Atlanta she covered outcast.
Speaker 5 (18:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (18:27):
I don't really think that she could have left that
one alone.
Speaker 4 (18:30):
Yeah, she should have done like, you know, welcome to Atlanta,
where the play is play, you know, something like that.
Speaker 9 (18:36):
Yeah, well, there's so many artists from Atlanta and that
or that general area, like she could have I mean,
I know she's a more upbeat singer, but she could
have seen Georgia on my mind, you're.
Speaker 6 (18:46):
In Georgia, you know what I mean?
Speaker 9 (18:48):
But like Outcast, which is like iconic wrap. Yeah, I
don't really know if that was her.
Speaker 3 (18:55):
Please, like every.
Speaker 9 (18:58):
Day with a play is way, you know what?
Speaker 2 (19:03):
It's no Tampa right, well, that's right.
Speaker 4 (19:06):
You know, Lisa is broadcasting from beautiful Tampa and she's
on a Tampa.
Speaker 15 (19:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (19:10):
While she's right there, I can see her on screen
Beautiful Tampa. Minley Cyrus has a new song coming out
this Friday. The song is called Secrets.
Speaker 4 (19:18):
We have a clam.
Speaker 3 (19:22):
Anyway, Okay, it could be very nasally and I love
Miney sorrys. I think she's one of the best entertainers.
Speaker 8 (19:35):
And again, you know what I mean, little nil, I mean,
it's a sinus infection. It is it isn't around I think, yeah,
there's allergy.
Speaker 4 (19:50):
Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (19:56):
So the new season of Dancing with the Stars began
last night. Heladia Baldwin had her first spin on the
dance floor. Alec and the kids were in the audience,
and this was Heladia as she stepped off the floor.
Speaker 16 (20:12):
I like just signed up for this like right before
it started, because I was not on my radar at all,
like at all, and so I was one of these
like crazy last minute things where I guess people were
calling into the show, and then Dancing with the Stars
reached out to me. And then I was like on
a plane a couple of days later, and I was
like what am I doing? And then I moved my
whole family here and I was like what am I doing?
(20:34):
And I had to find a house. I signed the
contract as I'm getting off the plane before back It's
like chasing my two year old who was pushing our
baby her like her ten little stroller.
Speaker 2 (20:43):
I was like, what am I doing?
Speaker 16 (20:45):
But I'm but I did it and I'm here and
I'm happy.
Speaker 4 (20:48):
Kind of lost the Spanish accent, it faded in and out.
Speaker 6 (20:51):
Well, guy, she's in Beverly Hills now, so that's very valuable. Yeah,
she's a chameleon.
Speaker 4 (20:56):
She swiss up during that.
Speaker 3 (20:57):
You know, I'm a fan of her, crazy, you know,
like you you're crazy.
Speaker 5 (21:02):
I'm a fan of well Ireland Baldwin. You know, Alex
his daughter that famous you know thing with and his daughter. Well,
she said recently that she thinks she Hilaria is crazy,
but the crazy is good.
Speaker 2 (21:17):
For her dad.
Speaker 5 (21:19):
And and she basically says that Hilaria saved her dad.
Speaker 9 (21:23):
Do you guys think when she's in Boston, she says, cat,
I bet you when she's here, she's just like.
Speaker 4 (21:29):
Before she gets to a certain town. She grew up in.
Speaker 6 (21:32):
Cambridge, so she should probably have a natural her.
Speaker 4 (21:35):
That's a doctor Boston.
Speaker 15 (21:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (21:38):
Yeah, I don't know when I'm talking, you're not talking.
Speaker 15 (21:41):
You know.
Speaker 5 (21:41):
I spied Stephen Baldwin in the audience too, right behind
Alec Baldwin, Haley's father.
Speaker 3 (21:47):
Didn't he marry one of the Wilson Phillips girls.
Speaker 2 (21:50):
Uh no, that's that was Billy Ye.
Speaker 4 (21:56):
Hold on, there was something about them I kind of liked.
I'm not a beautiful Listen, I'm not a dancer, so
who am I? But I watched the Hilaria She can dance?
Oh she can dance?
Speaker 15 (22:09):
Man.
Speaker 9 (22:09):
Yeah, Well she's you know, studied in her home country
of Spain.
Speaker 3 (22:13):
Well, wasn't she kind of semi pro or something? She
competed in dance events, So.
Speaker 2 (22:19):
She's a yoga instructor.
Speaker 3 (22:20):
Yeah, and then there's that. Anyway, she got a fourteen
out of twenty.
Speaker 4 (22:24):
I don't know if that's.
Speaker 6 (22:25):
Good, Okay, I meant two seven's well.
Speaker 3 (22:27):
Producer Riley told me one of the judges was missing,
so the numbers were lower.
Speaker 5 (22:32):
Yeah, Carrie and Anabo was actually sick last night, which
was weird. So but Corey Feldman only got a nine
out of twenty.
Speaker 4 (22:38):
Okay, so he's on his way out the door. Put
him back in the closet here.
Speaker 3 (22:44):
The Superman movie that took in more than six hundred
million worldwide is going to drop this coming Friday on HBO.
HBO Max and Sydney Sweeney talked about somebody that's been busy.
She's got the boxing movie we talked about about a
week ago that comes out in November, where she gained
thirty pounds to play the boxer. Christy Martin, Well, Justin
and I. Early this morning watched the trailer for yet
(23:08):
another new movie. This one is called The Housemaid. It
comes out in December. It's a horror movie with Amanda
Cipried and a creepy remix of Sabrina Carpenter.
Speaker 4 (23:19):
It's police, police believe.
Speaker 15 (23:28):
Yes, Yeah, this is this movie.
Speaker 4 (23:38):
Looks really crazy.
Speaker 2 (23:40):
I have a really good feeling about this.
Speaker 17 (23:41):
Millie too, Okay, I'll be in touch.
Speaker 4 (23:47):
Plays a housemaid for a wealthy family and obviously things
go haywire.
Speaker 3 (23:52):
Oh man, dude, that's great.
Speaker 4 (23:53):
Yeah, it looks good.
Speaker 6 (23:55):
Fire free kind of irks me. I don't know if
I can see it.
Speaker 4 (23:58):
You don't like Amanda now since.
Speaker 6 (24:00):
Dear John, she kind of like, I don't know.
Speaker 9 (24:03):
Oh with Channing Tatum, Yeah, I like your mean girls,
and then she just I don't know.
Speaker 4 (24:08):
Hey.
Speaker 3 (24:09):
Earlier this week, Emmy Awards comedian Nate Bargesi had a
cool idea for shortening the acceptance speeches and raising money
for Boys and Girls Clubs of America. I'm happy to
report they got a total of three hundred and fifty
thousand dollars, which is very cool. And we're brought to
you by Dover Rug. They will come to your house
with all the rugs you like, lie them on the floor,
(24:30):
and this way you get to see them in the
rooms you want to have them at. Okay, it's Dover
Rug Nadic Boston, Burlington, or just go to doverrug dot
com and there you go. Yo, what's up this is
Bennie Blanco and you're waking up with Billy and Lisa
in the morning on Kiss one O eight.
Speaker 4 (24:45):
See soon Kiss one o eight.
Speaker 2 (24:48):
Secret sound.
Speaker 3 (24:52):
Yeah, we got Rich from Georgetown. He's getting ready for work. Hey, Rich,
very quickly, what are you doing for work?
Speaker 18 (25:00):
I work for a major grocery.
Speaker 3 (25:02):
Store, A major grocery store.
Speaker 4 (25:04):
We won't name names. Okay, that's fine with me, Rich,
top secret.
Speaker 3 (25:08):
So Rich, first of all, thanks for listening, thanks for calling.
By the way, the jackpot one six hundred forty eight
dollars and we're going to play the secret sound for
you right now.
Speaker 4 (25:18):
Rich, listen, listen out.
Speaker 3 (25:25):
Okay, Rich, So for one thousand, six hundred forty eight dollars,
What is the secret sound?
Speaker 4 (25:33):
It sounds like judge your decision on this, Rich. That
is not the secret sound. Not the secret sound. Rich.
Speaker 3 (25:46):
We're so sorry, but we add one hundred eight dollars
now to the jackpot. Rich, But thanks for listening, Thanks
for playing.
Speaker 4 (25:56):
Why do you want to name the grocery store?
Speaker 6 (25:58):
I mean we can name three market basket Stock, Been, Chopshaws.
Speaker 4 (26:00):
Sarl Food food Trader, Joe. Okay, Rich, one of those? Yeah,
A ten. We will play again. The full lines are
bousing people. They want this money.
Speaker 2 (26:13):
Billy and Lisa every morning kiss one.
Speaker 3 (26:15):
I wait, so, Lisa, I know you're in Tampa, Florida.
You're gonna miss it. Jeremy Piven is coming into this
studio at eight fifteen this morning.
Speaker 5 (26:22):
I know I can't believe, but well I get to
see him on the screen at least to say hi, yeah, okay,
good and yeah.
Speaker 3 (26:28):
He's got a show with the Wilburg Friday Night and Boston.
Speaker 14 (26:31):
I'm coming for you Wilbur Theater on the nineteenth.
Speaker 15 (26:36):
Man.
Speaker 14 (26:36):
So much history there, you know, and things are being
revealed right now. You know the great Tom Brady. He
didn't take days off. He admittedly was a psychopath. He
was dedicated every day. Wasn't just Sunday. And now it's revealed,
and you know our guy Bill Belichick. Hold on, I'll
say I'm sorry, I can't. I can't finish this. His
(26:57):
girlfriend told me to shut it down. But I will
be there at the Wilberth Theater on the nineteen.
Speaker 4 (27:02):
Let's go not talking about this. He also did a
little poll on his Instagram before he got here this week,
asking for the best restaurant recommendations. He actually gave away
a meet and greet and tickets to his show this week.
No way, Yeah, for the one that got the most
likes on the on the post, so which one got
the most likes? It was actually, believe it or not,
(27:25):
Tommy Gerino. He invited them to the Delhi with you
know how they do the Yeah, that one looks like
it got the most likes. But there's a ton of
restaurant recommendations. So he's coming in at eight fifteen, so
we have to get some some recommendations for him, going, well,
you are the food guy.
Speaker 3 (27:42):
Well, I'm guessing he's gonna want to stay in the
immediate Boston area, right, I'm guessing he's staying in a
Boston hotel. So I don't think it makes any sense
to suggest suburban restaurants. But I mean, you know a
lot of people they come to town, they want to
go to the North End. Like Dua Lipa was in
town last week and she went to Red Far in
the North End. She also went to neptwo Oyster twice. Yeah,
(28:04):
she went twice to neptwo Oyster. That's how much she
liked it when she was here. If he wants to
get down the Seaport district, you can go to Woods
Hill Pier four, which is a really cool restaurant, one
of the best views in the city of Boston.
Speaker 4 (28:15):
I could go on and on.
Speaker 3 (28:16):
Present in the North End, Umbria in the North End,
Aria in the North End, so many Brico in the
North End, and I'm just saying, how do you even choose?
Speaker 5 (28:25):
Yeah, Capri Stayhouse just opened in the South End.
Speaker 2 (28:29):
Beautiful. One of my faves is nineteen twenty eight on
Beacon Hill.
Speaker 4 (28:34):
Yeah, that's what I mean.
Speaker 3 (28:35):
There are so many cool neighborhoods in Boston too, outside
of the North End, like Beacon Hill.
Speaker 4 (28:40):
Now, Bill, you were telling me about this place, Capri, Yeah,
you shot there recently. It's like the new hotspot. Yeah
it is.
Speaker 3 (28:47):
It's owned by the same restaurant Coup that owns A
Prima in Charlestown, which is another great restaurant in Charlestown.
It is just outside of the city, so there's that.
But yeah, Capri is brand new. It just about a
month and a half ago, and Lisa knows it's beautiful.
Speaker 4 (29:04):
It's just ridiculous.
Speaker 3 (29:05):
The outside seating area has a giant bar couch area
to sit on. But the inside the restaurant is beautiful,
So he may want to check out Capri. He wants recommendations,
we have them.
Speaker 4 (29:16):
And you get a reservation in two seconds. I got
Lisa one for this Friday night. Really.
Speaker 5 (29:23):
Yeah, it's beautiful. The outdoor space is amazing. It's right
next to where SOA market sets up. Yeah, and you
can kind of walk in and out from the restaurant
into Soa on the weekends. So yeah, a big shout
out to Cava to Kava that's also in this out
Then it's Greek Tapa's lovely little spot.
Speaker 3 (29:42):
And if he wants to go to Boston Harbor like Charlestown,
I can recommend Pier six. I can recommend Real House
on the East Boston side of the Harbor.
Speaker 4 (29:50):
This way he gets on the water.
Speaker 3 (29:52):
He could take a water taxi over to Real House
in East Boston.
Speaker 4 (29:56):
Yeah. So many restaurants. God, we're a big restaurant city. Yeah.
Some of the other ones on his Instagram recommendations are
Jason Santos is, Oh yeah, buttermilk and Bourbon. Yeah, that's
a good.
Speaker 3 (30:05):
One in Salt And we did an event there before
the Jingle Ball last year.
Speaker 4 (30:09):
Yeah, someone wrote Dumpling House in Cambridge. I'm sure it's fantastic. Yeah,
But then Jeremy responded, Dumplings in Boston.
Speaker 6 (30:19):
But we have a really good Asian scene.
Speaker 4 (30:20):
So yeah, we do. He said, he's down, he's down
to do it. Let's go to Fatima online one.
Speaker 3 (30:26):
Uh Fatima is it Fatima or Fatima Fatima? Fatima? Good morning?
You have something to recommend?
Speaker 4 (30:36):
Yeahs in Boston? What is it? Ggs gs?
Speaker 3 (30:41):
Yes, yes, what part of Boston is it?
Speaker 4 (30:45):
It's in Columbus. I want to come up, come up.
Speaker 3 (30:49):
Okays, thank you very much, Fatima. And if he wants
something close to the TD Garden, if he plans on
going to the Garden for anything, I can recommend El Cove.
Speaker 6 (30:59):
Oh he's been there.
Speaker 3 (30:59):
That was good, Yeah, right next to the GD Garden.
Speaker 4 (31:02):
Yeah. Alcohol was really good. Oh it's kind of hidden
away there. Yeah, like a little alcove, little Cove, good
point Winnie.
Speaker 10 (31:10):
Okay, so it's not fancy, but in my opinion, the
best restaurant in Boston or the Boston area is one
hundred percent Newbridge Cafe. You cannot get more of a
Boston feel with the best steak tips you will ever
have in your life than from Newbridge. Go enjoy.
Speaker 4 (31:27):
We fantastic. Newbridge is a legend, but it's outside, that's
outside of Boston. But those steak tips are unbelievable. My wife,
that's our favorite restaurant. We actually have the dressing that
they that they ate the steak tore at home.
Speaker 2 (31:41):
Where is Newbridge?
Speaker 4 (31:42):
It's in Chelsea. Yeah, okay, it's right up Root sixteen.
Speaker 3 (31:45):
Actually, if you go up Routing sixteen through Everett enter Chelsea,
you take a left, you're there.
Speaker 4 (31:49):
Yeah. Pretty cool.
Speaker 1 (31:51):
Now it's topic time with Billy and Lisa in the morning.
Speaker 3 (31:55):
So a couple of minutes ago, I'm so excited Jeremy
Piven is coming into the studio at eight fifth this morning.
I just am a longtime fan of Jeremy Piven. So
he's coming in. He's gonna show with the Wilburg this
coming Friday night. And he sent this message asking people
for restaurant recommendations. So again we're asking our listeners to
help out.
Speaker 4 (32:16):
He did go to Abe and Louise. He posted, okay,
yesterday or the day before at Aban Louise, great Lois. Yeah,
good steak out really great.
Speaker 19 (32:24):
Yeah, good morning, guys. This is Carlow's about the restaurant
for Jeremy. He doesn't like he doesn't like sea oils
and all those buy oil, so it's really tough to
get him into a good restaurant in Boston. He loves
steaks and I think Italian fool. But anyways, it comes
(32:45):
down to the oil with him. He don't like bay
oils and he's food. So it's gonna be really tough
to get a good restaurant here in Boston that doesn't
do that.
Speaker 3 (32:53):
Yeah, Justin wasn't there and Lizzi you might remember, wasn't
there a weird period Jeremy Piven. All he ate was
social something weird.
Speaker 5 (33:01):
And then he got he got mercury poisoning. Yeah, yeah,
it was a big story.
Speaker 4 (33:06):
So the quality of the food definitely matters for Jeremy.
Speaker 3 (33:09):
Now that he you know, was affected by it.
Speaker 4 (33:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (33:12):
Yeah, he probably had too much tuna.
Speaker 6 (33:15):
I love tuna.
Speaker 3 (33:16):
I forget what exactly it was that he was eating
to cause problems.
Speaker 2 (33:19):
But yeah, but it was mercury poisoning.
Speaker 4 (33:21):
We'll have to ask Alo. He'll be hearing about, you know,
twenty thirty minutes, so bad news winning. I don't know
if he's going to go to your favorite probably care. Yeah.
Speaker 17 (33:30):
So one of the best restaurants ever, and Whinnie will
attest to this is the Chiefecake Factory.
Speaker 4 (33:37):
Cheesecake Factory all the way. It doesn't seem like a
Jeremy Pivt place to.
Speaker 9 (33:42):
They just drop some new menu items too, by the way,
really yeah, bulls and like bytes. So they have nic
have like a really good Cat's who chicken bowl.
Speaker 4 (33:50):
I really like bulls and bites. Yeah, like a salmon bowl.
Yeah yeah, yeah, you can get a salad.
Speaker 6 (33:55):
Their salads are like two thousand calories.
Speaker 3 (33:57):
About Oh, bulls bites, bulls bites in a bottle, a
bottle of beer, bottle.
Speaker 4 (34:03):
Of you know what, you should have a food television
show bill.
Speaker 15 (34:06):
You know what?
Speaker 4 (34:07):
I should think about that.
Speaker 7 (34:09):
So, if you're into Greek food, the Greek hero right
there by Fenway Park.
Speaker 1 (34:14):
Amazing, amazing, amazing heroes and bobs, you gotta check it out.
Speaker 4 (34:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (34:20):
Well, I mean, if he's going to a game, maybe
he's taken in a Red Sox game. I don't know,
if he's going to hang around after a show.
Speaker 4 (34:26):
Fridden, Well, he's been here all week.
Speaker 6 (34:27):
I wonder why he's finished so long.
Speaker 4 (34:29):
What's like why not.
Speaker 6 (34:31):
Yeah, I don't think he'll fly in and fly out
the same day.
Speaker 4 (34:33):
I know he's getting ready. Yeah, so you can hit
fun with.
Speaker 11 (34:38):
There's a lot of restaurants I like in Boston, but
one just because I've been craving this for such a
long time and I just haven't gotten been able to go.
But there's one restaurant in Boston called Joe's or Joe's
American Bar and Grill, and they have one on Newberry
Storeeter Boils and Street. I forgot what street, but one
of those. And then they have one kind of by
the Aquarium, like close to it, and their chowder bread
(34:59):
bull is so good. I've also just been craving it,
but it's so good there. There's probably other places that
have it, but that is one of my favorite places
to get it.
Speaker 3 (35:05):
Yeah, Jos is on Boylston Street, but there's Newberry well,
oh yeah, Newbery and something else. It's on a corner.
But there's another one right over my yachtae min in
a marina where I got there right.
Speaker 4 (35:16):
On the waterfront.
Speaker 2 (35:16):
Yeah, that's a nice location.
Speaker 4 (35:18):
Yeah. Yeah, where's my chowda? We talked about Capri in
the South and that's the hot new spot. Billy's shot
his TV show there.
Speaker 17 (35:28):
Good Morning Morning crew, This is Sharon for Milford. I
wanted to let you know that I did go to
Capri on Monday night. Vibe was amazing. I'm definitely gonna.
Speaker 4 (35:39):
Go back at least You're going Friday, right, I am.
Speaker 2 (35:41):
Yeah, It's really pretty.
Speaker 5 (35:44):
Yeah, I only saw the outdoor space, but it was like, wow,
where am I. It's like it transforms into like this
beautiful garden in the back.
Speaker 3 (35:51):
And they have like a huge olive tree right at
the end of the outside eating area.
Speaker 15 (35:57):
One.
Speaker 4 (35:57):
I'm behind the scenes, look at what it's like working
with Billy. So the day he had to shoot at Capri,
he's like, you know, I'm shooting at this hot new place.
He's like, it's supposed to be like this really fabulous place.
He's like, you know, but they always say this is
the hot new place. You know. He goes and shoots.
The next day he comes back, he goes, this is
the hottest.
Speaker 2 (36:13):
Place I know that you have to go.
Speaker 4 (36:15):
You have to bring your life. Yeah, let's go to
Anna online one ooh, I think she likes to do
a leapis favorite place Anna. Where do you want Jeremy
Piven to go.
Speaker 18 (36:26):
Well, there's actually two, but Neptune's Oyster in the North End. Yeah,
I don't know if we'll go because I love that place.
Speaker 4 (36:34):
But it's really tiny, I know, I.
Speaker 18 (36:38):
Know, and it's a pain in the next so he
might not like that. But I don't know. Billy. If
you heard about this place and need him called Spiega
and it's off the road. They are in Needham Street
and it's like an Italian house and the chef is Italian.
She owns it from Italy. Yeah, is like you're in
(37:00):
Italy and it's amazing. It's amazing.
Speaker 3 (37:03):
I just don't see Jeremy going and need them. Yeah,
you know, and all due respect, I.
Speaker 18 (37:10):
Know, I know, but you guys need to go and
tell us when you go. It is amazing. It's a
gem hole in the wall.
Speaker 6 (37:19):
Do you own it?
Speaker 18 (37:19):
It's beautiful.
Speaker 4 (37:23):
Now we'll take the cameras to Speaga and Nita. Yeah,
and it's good not it's good for audience too, for
our listeners that are listening now, you know, come up
this week Metro. Yeah, it's perfect. Good morning.
Speaker 6 (37:34):
It's the mayor of the South End.
Speaker 20 (37:36):
I recommend Capri over in the South End and Luke's
Lobster has the best lobster. And of course if you're
looking for a wonderful apple martini, drop by and see
me at Club Cafe and have some fish shackos.
Speaker 4 (37:52):
Have a great day.
Speaker 3 (37:53):
Yeah, Luca, Luke's Lobster is a buddy of mine. Now
if I if I go, I get the crab roll.
Speaker 4 (37:59):
It's just ridiculous.
Speaker 3 (38:00):
You just shot there, right, Louis Lobson's. Yeah, We've been
there a bunch of times. So Lukes is a great place.
Speaker 5 (38:04):
I have to mention Miss Strall. It's been around forever.
It's still as good as it ever was, the mighty
Miss Straw, great pizza, it's just amazing.
Speaker 4 (38:14):
All right, Well, we have a good list for Jeremy.
He will be in this studio just after eight o'clock.
Lost to catch up with with with him, and he's
been here before, so he's coming back.
Speaker 14 (38:23):
Hey is Jeremy Pivot And I'm hanging with Billy Costa,
who I'm not actually hanging with. He's kind of awkward,
but we still love him.
