Now first morning show in Boston.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Billie and Lisa in the morning. It's just a great
start to my day on Kids Oneawait, and.
Speaker 3 (00:08):
You want to know something else? This is the first
a billion Lisa Morning Show of September twenty twenty five. Yeah,
we celebrate the month of September on the Billion Lisa
Morning Show, which, by the way, happens to be my
favorite month of the entire year.
Speaker 4 (00:23):
Mine too. It's my birthday month. Ah yeah, when is
your birthday? The twenty seconds?
Speaker 3 (00:29):
You know whose birthday it is this morning, Riley Donovan, Yes,
it is.
Speaker 5 (00:33):
He's the first birthday of September.
Speaker 4 (00:35):
When does the Golden Bachelor come.
Speaker 5 (00:37):
Back September twenty fourth.
Speaker 4 (00:38):
Oh, we got to call him. Yes, is he ready?
Speaker 5 (00:40):
We're setting it up. He's ready. He's already awake.
Speaker 6 (00:43):
He's having a little fun golf round with his buddies
this morning for his birthday.
Speaker 3 (00:48):
Well, he's entering a new chapter in life. He's entering
high school. Yes, is he still going to want to
play around with the Bachelor franchise?
Speaker 5 (00:57):
We'll wait and see.
Speaker 4 (00:58):
Okay, we can ask him.
Speaker 5 (01:00):
Yeah, I hope so.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
So this morning could be the official signing of Riley
Dunovan for The Golden Bachelor's new season. Yes, God, that's
an official correspondent.
Speaker 4 (01:10):
Wow, fifteen years old. I can't believe it.
Speaker 5 (01:13):
High school.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
He's going to start charging us.
Speaker 4 (01:18):
I'm just saying, you're paying the bill.
Speaker 5 (01:21):
We just buy him like pliables and he'll be fine.
Speaker 3 (01:24):
Okay, that's what he loves. O.
Speaker 4 (01:25):
Happy birthday, Riley.
Speaker 3 (01:27):
And you know how there's always something going on in
the Dunovan house always Max Donovan, Riley's older brother, who
just moved in at Brown University. Are you ready for this?
Justin Whennie, do you know this story? Max Donovan ran
into Gwyneth Paltrow and her.
Speaker 5 (01:45):
Son Wow yesterday at the dining hall. He was all
like said calling. I'm like, oh no, why is he
calling me? Because I haven't talked to him?
Speaker 6 (01:52):
And he goes, mom, I just ran into Gwyneth Paltrow
and Moses in the dining hall.
Speaker 5 (01:56):
I'm like, no way. And I hear all like all
his like friends. It's like screaming in the background.
Speaker 3 (02:01):
And and she had her son with that's Chris Martin's son.
Speaker 6 (02:05):
Right, Moses. Yeah, so the regular So he's a sophomore now.
So Max has been doing freshman orientation. That's why they
were there early. But school starts this week, so all
the other kids, all the upperclassmen are now like joining campus.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
Wow, imagine that.
Speaker 4 (02:19):
So she was just roaming through the dining hall.
Speaker 7 (02:22):
Yep.
Speaker 3 (02:23):
The meantime, Chris Martin is a longtime heart throb of yours.
Imagine if Max done of it makes this thing happen,
like Chris Martin is suddenly having tea at your house.
Speaker 5 (02:33):
I love how you say heart throb. Yeah, I don't
think so.
Speaker 6 (02:38):
But it would be cool to see him on campus,
like maybe at like one of the football games or something.
Speaker 5 (02:42):
We'll see the fam right.
Speaker 3 (02:44):
Form on campus. I don't think we'll get him to
do something on campus.
Speaker 4 (02:48):
Well, it's so funny because Max obviously knows you and
Gwen Anthea, you know, you know we covered a lot
of one of the stories on the show. Yeah, so
you were his first call. It's funny.
Speaker 3 (02:59):
We need to talk about Justin's big pool party over
the Labor Day weekend. We can pass on and no,
I really insist that we talk about this. When are
you up on what went down?
Speaker 1 (03:09):
I saw his IG stories, but that's it. I don't
know if I've missed anything else.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
Well, it turns out every child and there were a
lot of things about the party in the dunk tank.
Speaker 4 (03:18):
Well I could tell the story, or you could just okay,
it's fine, there's no back.
Speaker 3 (03:21):
Don't wat the whole thing back.
Speaker 4 (03:23):
Yeah, yeah, I don't know. The pool was it was cold.
No one was really in the pool. They were in
the dunk tank all day. I went in at the
very beginning, and at the end of the night, like
you know, one of the kids came over with his
parents and the parents said, you know, can you tell
Justin what you did and apologize? And he said, I
pete in the dunk tank. And I said, oh, okay,
And then simultaneously all the kids around said, oh I've
(03:46):
been peeing that thing all day.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
Oh boy.
Speaker 4 (03:48):
And then I realized it hit me, Like the pool,
no kid asked to use the bathroom. Yeah, the entire bother.
Speaker 8 (03:56):
It's actually worse than the pool though, because the pool
has chlorina exactly.
Speaker 4 (04:00):
This is a small body of it.
Speaker 5 (04:01):
It was just a bigger toilet.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
Yes, it's stagnant.
Speaker 5 (04:07):
No, it's nothing moving around.
Speaker 1 (04:09):
It's the peapod.
Speaker 4 (04:10):
Yeah, by the way, dunk tank, great idea for a party.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
It is.
Speaker 6 (04:13):
I had one from a party for Max years ago,
and it was really fun.
Speaker 5 (04:17):
I have to say that.
Speaker 6 (04:18):
When you're sitting on the plank and you see the
person ready to throw the ball, it does give you
a stomach ache.
Speaker 3 (04:24):
Oh yeah, oh yeah.
Speaker 4 (04:26):
And then every time they miss it increases exactly because
you know it's coming.
Speaker 5 (04:29):
Oh, I'm going in.
Speaker 4 (04:30):
There's one final piece that I didn't tell you, Bill.
Speaker 3 (04:33):
Oh.
Speaker 4 (04:34):
So at the end of the night, we had to
let the water out because the next day the guy
was going to come in the morning, you know. So
there's a plug at the bottom of the dunk tank
and the guy told me when he dropped it off,
he said, you know, be careful when you empty it
comes out fast. So of course I tried to keep
away from it. But you know, I have short arms,
and I opened it up and it sprayed out so
(04:57):
fast all over my face.
Speaker 5 (05:01):
Oh that's disgusting.
Speaker 4 (05:03):
Okay, it's like people's urine draining onto your face. Yeah,
a bunch of kids. I mean, I don't know. I
wiped it off pretty quickly. There's no wiping.
Speaker 5 (05:10):
I would go wash yourself.
Speaker 3 (05:12):
Yeah, it's invaded your whole sit. Imagine all that you
do for your body and your system. And now you've
got multiple versions of urine sprinkled through your blood system.
Speaker 4 (05:25):
I try to have to think about it. But other
than that, a fantastic weekend, a fantastic party at my house.
Great time.
Speaker 3 (05:31):
Okay, Hey, is today Austin Christmas?
Speaker 1 (05:35):
It was yesterday.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
Yeah, it's September first, Yeah, yeah, so today is still
a good day to drive around if you're looking for
certain things.
Speaker 4 (05:43):
The thing is that you want to get there early,
so on the first it goes out there. I don't
know what's left in Austin, but you can go down
and check it out. There might be a table you like,
something left behind.
Speaker 1 (05:53):
There's always something.
Speaker 3 (05:55):
Do they even bother putting the cardboard sign that says
free or you just assume if it's out there it's free.
Speaker 4 (06:00):
You just dump it out. Yeah, the couches, all types
of stuff. Okay, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
From the Planet Fitness Kiss one Away Studios, we're back
with Villy and Lisa in the morning on Kiss one
O eight.
Speaker 3 (06:14):
Hey, everybody, I'll welcome back in a happy September to
you and again, Today is young Riley Dunovan's birthday, fifteen
years old today.
Speaker 5 (06:21):
Fifteen starting high school and.
Speaker 3 (06:24):
He's going to come on the show later talk about
the new season of The Golden Bachelor exactly.
Speaker 5 (06:29):
We can wish them a happy birthday.
Speaker 3 (06:30):
So that's going on this morning. And don't forget Benson
Boone sold out in the garden tonight. We've got last
minute tickets we will give away at a ten this morning.
But I watched a lot of sports over the weekend.
I watched a lot of tennis, the US Open. I
watched the doubles match yesterday with Venus Williams.
Speaker 6 (06:49):
Can we talk about how crazy the players are being,
like smashing rackets, screaming at each other obscenities every single day.
Speaker 5 (06:59):
There's like an another thing that.
Speaker 3 (07:00):
Happened, emotional tantrums. They're yelling at each other when they
approached the net after a match. They're yelling at each
other in the locker rooms. They're complaining, they're whining. What
the hell is going on with professional tennis.
Speaker 4 (07:12):
You guys are both big tennis fans, longtime tennis fans,
long time That's not normal.
Speaker 5 (07:16):
Right, I ever saw it, not this much.
Speaker 3 (07:18):
You know. I was talking to my wife Michelle about it,
because you know, John McEnroe is one of the commentators,
and he was a well known a hole, but somehow
you liked him as an a hole. This is this
is all very very different.
Speaker 4 (07:30):
Everyone's uptight.
Speaker 3 (07:31):
Yeah, but I also watched the Belichick debut as a
college coach last night.
Speaker 5 (07:36):
Yes, we all did.
Speaker 3 (07:37):
I stayed up for it. I was excited about it.
Bill Belichick making his debut as a coach of UNC.
It all started well enough. I mean U and C
the Tar Heels scored in the very first drive. The
quarterback looked great, Geo Lopez, cool guy. And then it
all went south.
Speaker 5 (07:54):
It went downhill.
Speaker 3 (07:55):
I mean they were blown out forty eight to fourteen.
This is how bad it got. At one point four
porters starting here in checkel Hill.
Speaker 4 (08:09):
A little candid microphone we're familiar at.
Speaker 6 (08:13):
A lot of fans were leaving, like third quarter. They
couldn't get they couldn't get out of their fast enough.
Speaker 3 (08:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (08:19):
Well, there was a lot of build up and a
lot of hype to this game in Belichick, Oh my god.
Speaker 3 (08:24):
And then the lead in. Even before the game, I
was watching Pat McAfee, he was one of the commentators.
They're ready for the game. The watching bands who were
out there on the field, and all they talked about
was Belichick, Belichick, Belichick, the cut.
Speaker 4 (08:35):
Off hoodie on they had him going into the game
like you know, this is this is what I'm all about,
the cutoff hoodie.
Speaker 3 (08:40):
And then forty eight fourteen.
Speaker 6 (08:44):
So Michael Jordan was there, Oh yeah, Randy Moss was there.
Randy was actually sitting with Jordan. Yeh, Bill Belichick's girlfriend
in the box. But did you see the poster or
the sign that somebody made? It said air Jordawn with
the famous yoga post bill holding her up.
Speaker 4 (09:03):
How Dave portnoy post so that where was that posted somewhere.
Speaker 5 (09:06):
In then yes, within within the stadium.
Speaker 6 (09:08):
And then Dave port and I reposted it saying this
is the best sign of the day.
Speaker 3 (09:12):
Yeah you know who was loving it. TCU players celebrating
the win on Instagram live from the locker room. Better
take out a complin go for And I gotta be honest,
why would I play a postgame comment from the real
Bill Belichick if I can pull Ai Belichick.
Speaker 9 (09:37):
TCU bent me over and gave it to me raw
without any lube or any mercy, right in front of
my twenty four year old girlfriend watching in the stands.
Without Tom Brady, I would have been a full time
McDonald's worker, flipping burgers my entire life. And you guys
saw that tonight. Tom Brady carried me my whole career.
So I want to send a message Tom and beg
(09:57):
him to please join the North Carolina team. We'll find
a way to make him eligible somehow, someway, because I
can't win with these little kids who I don't even
know the names of a bunch of useless trash cans,
ruining my reputation as the best coach in NFL history
thanks to Tom.
Speaker 3 (10:13):
Yeah, that's the newly created AI Belichick. Oh, I'm in
love with it.
Speaker 4 (10:17):
Is a bit ironic that, you know, there was some
talks in his final season or two seasons with the
Patriots that he was having a hard time connecting with
the younger players. And then he leaves the Patriots and
he joins college football with his young players.
Speaker 1 (10:32):
Yeah, were younger than he couldn't connect with.
Speaker 3 (10:35):
Yeah, it just it was humiliating. I mean, you know,
we talked about it a couple of minutes ago. The
hype was like incredible. It was all Belichick. It's all
the commentators. We're talking about pre game.
Speaker 5 (10:47):
Yeah, you don't want fans of UNC leaving the game early.
Speaker 3 (10:51):
They're all heading for the exits. Yeah. At home, they're
all heading for the exits. I got to tell you
something though, I was on it early. I was watching
the broadcast early with Pat McAfee and everything. But I
really it was old school to see the marching bands
on the field, and the marching band actually did the
(11:11):
national anthem. And I said, that's pretty cool, you know,
going way back and look at the marching band out
there and doing the national anthem.
Speaker 4 (11:20):
It's cool.
Speaker 3 (11:20):
Yeah, it was pretty cool. But UNC is going to
play Charlotte Saturday night. So that's weird, isn't it? Two
games in a row against North Carolina, UNC and Charlotte.
I don't know, it seems weird to me.
Speaker 8 (11:31):
Well, I mean down there they have like you know, divisions,
so they play certain people seven o'clock.
Speaker 4 (11:37):
We'll see how the second game goes, right, Oh, man,
blow out the first game maybe, you know, I and
the kinks out and we'll see if it gets blown
out again, then that's well.
Speaker 3 (11:46):
They did say going into the game, the TCU was tough, Yeah,
and they were expecting a lot out of TCU. But
I'll let check out.
Speaker 5 (11:55):
The corn frogs were at it.
Speaker 4 (11:57):
Yeah, so Michael Jordan was there in the boot, but
then Jordan Hudson was there in a booth.
Speaker 1 (12:02):
Yes she was.
Speaker 5 (12:03):
She was sitting next to Randy Moss.
Speaker 3 (12:04):
I'm five.
Speaker 4 (12:06):
Yeah, imagine how that conversation station went after the game.
Speaker 9 (12:08):
That's what I've get for putting Jordan in charge of
recruiting christ I knew she didn't put together the Seven
Patriots or anything, but I didn't realize how bad he
hooked me.
Speaker 2 (12:18):
From the Planet Fitness Kids one Owaight Studios, We're back
with a Billy and Lisa in the morning on chit.
Speaker 5 (12:28):
Now The Entertainment Update with.
Speaker 3 (12:30):
A Billy cotsap Okay Benson Boone is sold out in
the TD Garden tonight, don't forget the national tour all
across the country. Sold out in just nine minutes and
we've got last minute tickets to the show tonight at
a ten this morning. By the way, at his show
over the weekend in Montreal, he did a cover of
the Lady Gaga's.
Speaker 4 (12:51):
Shout I'll have a voice on that kid. Yeah, wow,
we'll be doing it tonight. I mean, we don't know
the song he's going to cover tonight, but I'm sure
he's been doing it every single show night.
Speaker 3 (13:00):
Oh uh and again last minute tickets for this sold
out show tonight coming up this morning to a ten meantime.
The Jonas Brothers this past weekend in Dallas brought out
Fifth Harmony minus give Me the Yeah.
Speaker 6 (13:15):
I saw the photo of them and I was like,
there's one missing.
Speaker 8 (13:19):
Well, yeah, well she left them before they disband the
first time it was Remember she left early. There was
some controversy that Jonah's brothers showing Dallas, so had Kelsey Ballerini,
Ryan Cabrera, Kevin Jonas sang solo again and Fifth Harmony
they I think Plain White Teeth might have been there too.
Speaker 3 (13:38):
God's Harmony. All right. I know you've never mentioned them again.
I gotta be honest with you. Never thought they had
an ounce of talent. I've seen them several times, completely
deep talents. Okay, I should mess. I hosted Fifth Harmony
when they first popped right, and it was at the
(13:59):
Square one More All in Saugust. Now in their favor,
I will say the mall was jam packed.
Speaker 6 (14:05):
I mean, I have to say every time they came
to do one of our shows. They could not have
been nicer. They would remember our name, which I thought
was really cool.
Speaker 4 (14:15):
That is really cool. Sabrina Carpenter does too, does do
that as well. They came to the radio station and
they were crowds of people outside the radio station as well.
So but this bill with the anger, let's thing about Billy, Right,
that's one day. Then the very next day.
Speaker 10 (14:28):
Danger danger work, Yeah, what's the loss?
Speaker 3 (14:41):
That's Kingston or something. Maybe Sean Paul com me the Cabo,
by the way, I guess is on a solo tour
in Australia. That's what produces.
Speaker 5 (14:55):
Yes, she has a boyfriend and she's very not poor.
Speaker 1 (14:57):
I don't think she would have been if she was
down the street.
Speaker 5 (15:00):
No, she would have found some reason not to be there.
Speaker 11 (15:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (15:03):
Yeah, she could have been sitting in the dressing room
at that arena and wouldn't have gone on Fifth Harmony.
And then you've got the Burning Man Festival. I really
don't get this event. First of all, there was a
giant historical wind and sandstorm there on day one. I
(15:24):
mean all the tents were blown apart. I mean it
was just insane.
Speaker 4 (15:27):
The orgy Dome.
Speaker 3 (15:29):
Then there's the Energy Dome. Yeah, and there was both
a death and a birth at burning Man Festival.
Speaker 4 (15:37):
This what did you say?
Speaker 3 (15:42):
Yes, okay, let we do it all here on the
billion Leads the Morning Show. So earlier this weekend, right,
a guy was found in a pool of blood, murdered
at the burning Man Festival and police are looking for.
Speaker 4 (15:59):
Sus Yeah, that's actually not funny. There was there was
a legit homicide there. Yeah, that, by the way, was
the death. Later this past weekend, a Utah woman at
the festival gave birth and she didn't even know she
was pregnant.
Speaker 3 (16:14):
Here's her aunt the first time to burning Man.
Speaker 7 (16:18):
Kayla woke up, wasn't filling. My brother Casey ran out
and said I need help. Within minutes they had like
an OBG I n and there in his underwear helping.
They had so many of the right people so close.
There were no signs of pregnancy. We were at the
lake the weekend before. She was in a swimming suit.
(16:40):
She did not look pregnant.
Speaker 5 (16:42):
Yeah, that does occur. Yeah, it does, it.
Speaker 1 (16:46):
Does happen, it does.
Speaker 8 (16:47):
But she was probably may I don't want to assume,
but she might have been doing drugs. This weekend high
as a kite, and she had a baby, and then
the only yn in their underwear might have also been
doing drugs, because that's what most you'll do.
Speaker 4 (17:02):
Very spiritualis I don't know what spirits they're celebrating there,
but they sometimes they see spirits.
Speaker 3 (17:10):
Yes, and the woman gave birth in an RV.
Speaker 5 (17:13):
I hope the baby's okay.
Speaker 4 (17:15):
We have not gotten worried that the baby is not okay,
So that's good.
Speaker 3 (17:18):
So the MTV Awards are this coming Sunday night. Lady
Gaga just announced as a performer and she joins a
huge lineup. We're talking about Gaga, Sabrina Carpenter, Jelly Roll,
Tate mccraye, Post Malone, Mariah Carey, dojakat All performing the
MTV Awards this weekend and all this week. MTV is
(17:39):
going to be playing music videos twenty four to seven
on several of their MTV stations. You don't really see
music videos. I mean, remember they used to dominate. Everything
was about the music video.
Speaker 8 (17:51):
I would wake up in the morning before school and
they would have like hours of music. You come home
and CRL will be on like it was music video Central.
And now they don't make them, but they're more on YouTube.
Speaker 12 (18:01):
You know.
Speaker 4 (18:01):
I watched the eminem documentary yesterday. It's on Paramount Plus stands.
It goes through his whole career, especially the early two
thousands when he blew up in TRL. Remember Times Square
and all the people would be crowded outside massive.
Speaker 3 (18:17):
Yeah, wow, unbelievable. You would go clubbing on a weekend
night and go home and watch music.
Speaker 6 (18:22):
I love when clubs still put the videos up on
the wall while they're dancing. And I watched the Sabrina
Carpenter video for Tears.
Speaker 5 (18:30):
That's a great music video.
Speaker 4 (18:31):
Yeah, yeah, very entertaining.
Speaker 3 (18:33):
How about this the Weekend's Blinding Lights, the first ever
to pass five billion streams on Spotify's a lot.
Speaker 4 (18:44):
Yeah, a guy justin that's my guy. I did table
I did some math there, and you know, because they
get paid per stream, so okay, on the high end,
if he got you know, five cents per stream, every
million would be whatever that number. I added it all
up for five billion means he would have made two
hundred and fifty million dollars. No way, but that's that's
(19:06):
way too high.
Speaker 1 (19:07):
I think they half a penny.
Speaker 3 (19:08):
Yeah, some are getting a penny, some even half a penny,
but still five billion streams.
Speaker 8 (19:15):
Wow, that song isn't even that old. I feel like
to have that one. Yeah, some songs take like ten
years to have a billion.
Speaker 3 (19:23):
And the Jaws movie was back in theaters this weekend
as the fiftieth anniversary celebration continues, and by the way,
came in second to the movie Weapons. It beat out
new releases in theaters this weekend.
Speaker 4 (19:35):
It's classic man.
Speaker 3 (19:37):
Yeah, and the Dancing with the Stars lineup is expected
to be announced on ABC this morning. Is Alec Baldwin's wife.
Speaker 6 (19:45):
They keep saying that she is going to be in
the cast because she keeps posting like weird things.
Speaker 5 (19:52):
With her dancing and dancing with Alex Well. She speaks
Spanish during the You know, I'm so glad that you
asked that.
Speaker 1 (20:01):
This is the dance with my people. Shut up when
I'm talking, You're not talking.
Speaker 3 (20:05):
She's gonna do all Yeah, what's heritage? It's not Hillary
from Boston. Yeah, we're coming up on the new season
of a Golden Bachelor and Riley Dunnoman calling in this morning, Right,
this's your.
Speaker 6 (20:23):
Son, he is, Well, it's his birthday, so we thought
we would get him on and then he can talk
about what's going on with the debut of that on
September twenty fourth.
Speaker 3 (20:31):
Okay, and The Rock's new movie, The Smashing Machine, comes
out October third. The Rock and the movie got a
fifteen minute standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival this weekend.
The Rock broke down in tears and it's a biopic
again about Mark Kerr, who was a UFC fighter and
The Rock credible.
Speaker 4 (20:51):
This is like serious Oscar Buzzers movie.
Speaker 3 (20:54):
Yeah, Now, what's going on with The Rock? You were
telling me this morning he's lost all of his muscles.
Speaker 4 (21:00):
Now not all of his muscles, but he has shrunk down,
and so people are saying, what's going on with the Rock?
What's going on? Is he bulked up for this movie,
he got jacked and now he's probably back to eating
regular or you know, less calories. Yeah, so he kind
of has a slim down physique. I don't really get
the outrage.
Speaker 3 (21:16):
Yeah. I think The Rock is fine.
Speaker 4 (21:18):
I think he's always be fine.
Speaker 3 (21:20):
Yeah. Red Sox beat the Guardians yesterday. They'll play them
again tonight. US Open tennis forty five year old Venus
Williams advances the women's doubles quarterfinal.
Speaker 1 (21:29):
Good for her.
Speaker 3 (21:30):
She's playing good tennis too. I watched that whole match yesterday,
and Naomi Osaka yesterday blew out Coco Goff in straight sets.
It was billed as the biggest match of the Open
this year and it was a dud. Well well, I
mean not for Naomi Osaka, right, but for Cocoa. It
was over in less than ane I know.
Speaker 5 (21:49):
But I'm glad that Naomi's back.
Speaker 3 (21:52):
Yeah, yeah, she had a baby girl she did. Yeah.
Pasts first game this coming Sunday, one o'clock against the
Raiders in Fox Oh my god.
Speaker 1 (22:00):
If they win and Jelichick loss, I love that. I
love that for them.
Speaker 3 (22:05):
Oh the drama. And we're brought to you by the
ninety nine Restaurants. Visit the ninety nine restaurant Monday through
Wednesday for their newest big deal meal. It's the Crispy
Fried Twin Catch with North Atlantic Cod Crispy Shrimp, just
fourteen ninety nine every Monday through Wednesday. So that's today.
You gotta love the Nines And there you go.
Speaker 2 (22:23):
Hey, we're harmony and we're hanging with Billy Cossa.
Speaker 3 (22:27):
Is it Costa Costa yeah, Billy and Lisa's way. Okay,
a wedding drama. Let's face it, when it comes to
a wedding, typically there is a lot of drama. Lisa,
You've got a couple of stories.
Speaker 5 (22:40):
We do well.
Speaker 6 (22:40):
The jumping off point was that I came in this
morning and I said, hey, did you hear that Selena
Gomez and Benny Blanco are having problems with their wedding?
Like they're like the hot couple. Everything seems to be
going perfectly for them. Well not so much with the
wedding because she's upset that he's not helping her plan stuff.
Speaker 5 (22:56):
So that was sort of an aside. So then we started.
Speaker 6 (22:57):
Talking about our own sort of family stuff going on,
and I have a family wedding coming up, and the
the one side, they refuse to plan the rehearsal dinner.
Speaker 5 (23:09):
Now, the rehearsal dinner is what you have the night
before for out of town guests.
Speaker 6 (23:13):
Were a lot of out of town guests coming and
for some reason, they're not having anything. So now my
family and my parents have had to step in and
now we're hosting everything.
Speaker 1 (23:22):
That wow, nice to your parents, not at all.
Speaker 6 (23:26):
So yeah, but it was it's kind of been like
this weird back and forth thing like what should we do?
Speaker 5 (23:31):
What shouldn't we do?
Speaker 6 (23:32):
And it's always like with weddings, it's like unfulfilled expectations,
like right, and I don't think people understand sometimes that,
you know, and I know Billy has a situation too,
you know, so anyway.
Speaker 4 (23:45):
Yeah, unfulfilled expectations. That's a great way to put it.
You know, you have all the and you know what,
expectations lead to resentments, Yes, and that's what happens with weddings.
Like going back to Selena and Bennie, you know, on
the one side, I can see Benny has this really
outspoken love bird. You know, he filled the bathtub with cheese,
He goes out of his way her happy, So one
(24:07):
would think he'd want more of a hand in the wedding,
and he's not. He's kind of on the you know,
not doing anything. So that's the criticism.
Speaker 3 (24:13):
But is Selena the one that's complaining or is it
just people on social.
Speaker 5 (24:17):
I think she's complaining to her friends.
Speaker 6 (24:19):
But you're right, it's surprising since he's been so involved
in the romance part of it leading up to it,
you would think he would have been like, well, I
you know, I'd like to have a say and like
what the cake tastes like? I have to say as
a woman, I actually think it's good that he's kind
of like stepping aside and just giving her space.
Speaker 4 (24:35):
If my wife planned the whole wedding, I was there
to offer my help, but she was like, no, thank you,
I'll be okay.
Speaker 8 (24:40):
Well, I think Benny thinks he's doing the romantic thing
or the right thing by letting her have her dream wedding, like,
whatever you want, I love you, whatever you I don't care,
We'll do whatever you want. I think a lot of
guys to think that they're doing the right thing by
saying like, hey, I want you to be happy, so
don't even think about me.
Speaker 3 (24:56):
Just do you on this right too.
Speaker 5 (24:59):
That's why it's surprised. I think that she's complaining.
Speaker 3 (25:01):
Yeah, but there typically are so many decisions that have
to be made with the wedding, and the drama is
usually resulted from something that doesn't matter. You know, the
major things. There's never drama. You know where the wedding
is going to be, the viow, there's never any drama.
The drama is always about little things that don't matter
at all.
Speaker 4 (25:20):
Well to everybody else, they don't matter, But to the person,
it's the it's a huge deal.
Speaker 1 (25:24):
You know what the drama is in the details.
Speaker 4 (25:27):
Okay, there you go.
Speaker 1 (25:28):
What color? What flower? You know what I mean.
Speaker 4 (25:30):
We're gonna be honest. I didn't want to be a
part of it. I was there, and I would offer
my help, but I didn't want to pick colors and
this and that. I don't want anything. The music I did,
you know, have a hand in, Oh yeah, but everything
else I was grateful.
Speaker 5 (25:44):
Yeah, right, you take care of the honey.
Speaker 6 (25:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (25:46):
I don't think I really had any involvement either. And
which one?
Speaker 4 (25:54):
By the third one, He's like, you know what, whatever place,
and I'll be there and I'll say yes, I will.
Speaker 8 (26:03):
He says yes to mostly everybody.
Speaker 4 (26:06):
Yeah, no problem at all. Oh man.
Speaker 3 (26:08):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (26:09):
Yeah. So the Penny Blanco, I don't know. I'm kind
of torn on that one me too, Yeah, I do.
I'm leaning towards because you know, we've documented it so
much on this show, how much he loves her and
how much he goes out of his way to show her. Yeah,
I would have thought that he would have been more
involved in it, but see.
Speaker 3 (26:26):
On the opposite, I think he's smart to not be
involved at all.
Speaker 8 (26:28):
Well maybe he's like I planned the proposal, like I
did all that, the first part of it. Now you
got to take it to the wedding. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
you got to plan it all Wow.
Speaker 3 (26:38):
The bottom line is there is always wedding juice, and
that's what we have topic time for the Billy and
Lisa Morning Show. And it's that time right now.
Speaker 2 (26:47):
Now it's topic time with the Billy and Lisa in
the morning.
Speaker 4 (26:52):
Hey, good morning, everybody, welcome back. Topic time is on.
Billy Costa has a big wedding. Congratulations. You want to
get to before we get to the drama, right, Bill.
Speaker 3 (27:01):
I certainly do. I want to congratulate my niece Julie
and her fiance Ron. They're getting married this weekend. We're
having a beautiful time this weekend in lovely Newbury Board
and you're going, I certainly am nice.
Speaker 4 (27:16):
Nice. Well, you know, summertime, you tend to not go
to things because it's spokes sason. Yeah, but you got
to go to this one.
Speaker 3 (27:22):
Yeah. I've skipped a certain amount of weddings over the years.
It comes in voting.
Speaker 5 (27:27):
We love Julie. Yeah, it's gonna be a fun wedding.
Speaker 3 (27:29):
We adore Judy and Ron's a great guy. It's going
to be a fabulous good time for the wedding, I said, Julie.
He said, Judy, that's probably because I was chewing on
a protein bar. Oh it's very good. By the way,
what are those calls? Congraty dues or.
Speaker 5 (27:47):
There is something dipped in chocolate.
Speaker 4 (27:48):
Let's go to Jeff.
Speaker 3 (27:49):
He's the first one on the phones. Jeff, good morning.
What have you got wedding drama? Let's go, good morning.
Speaker 12 (27:55):
How you doing, guys?
Speaker 4 (27:56):
Good?
Speaker 3 (27:56):
Let's go Jeff. Give us a good one.
Speaker 12 (28:00):
No drama. Just I'm getting married in three weeks and
you talk about the planning and all that, and I
honestly have no idea what's going on. I'll be just
as surprised as everyone else when I show up.
Speaker 4 (28:12):
That was your choice or.
Speaker 12 (28:17):
Yeah it was my it was my choice. I mean,
there's just I don't know. Being a guy, there's just
so much, like Justin said, picking the colors of this
and that I kind of just went with whatever she wanted.
And I mean I did get to pick out the
flavor of the cake, but other than that, and one
of my best friends is being man the piece, and
(28:41):
we only have about three weeks left to figure out
out and that's kind of a hopefully that works out
on times.
Speaker 3 (28:47):
You know, I gotta tell you, buddy, listening to you,
I think it's probably best you're not involved.
Speaker 4 (28:53):
Tell you something, Jeff, this is why I'm with you, Okay,
this is number one reason why I was grateful to
not be involved in all the wedding planning. I would
have been. My wife comes out with a with a
shirt on an outfit and she says, what do you
think this one or the other one that I was wearing.
No matter what answer you give, it's wrong.
Speaker 5 (29:11):
Exactly, It's so true.
Speaker 6 (29:12):
And as a woman, I can say I love Jeff
because he's just you know what this is. This is
your time, this is your vibe, and I'm here to
support you.
Speaker 3 (29:20):
And I Yeah, and Jeff, even if you were involved,
they wouldn't take any of your recommendations.
Speaker 4 (29:25):
Exactly, good idea, we're not doing it. No, they would.
Speaker 12 (29:29):
I mean, I'll take credit for everything, but yeah, I
wasn't involved.
Speaker 3 (29:33):
Do you at least get to pick the music or
something like a song, anything?
Speaker 12 (29:38):
No, I get to pick the dance with my mother.
But other than that, I think I'm going to pick
a dance with my daughter too because she's eight and
also my fiance is ten weeks pregnant as well.
Speaker 6 (29:50):
So oh wow, going on, congratulations, thank you very much.
Speaker 3 (29:55):
Yeah, congratulate, you got a lot to celebrate, big plate.
Speaker 4 (29:57):
Yeah, call us back Jeff after let us know I
there's any or not.
Speaker 5 (30:01):
Wow, he's got a lot going on, I'll say, I guess.
Speaker 11 (30:03):
So I had a COVID wedding, so that should just
be saying something right there. But for the most part,
I had issues everywhere from the venue to how we ate,
to the bridal party to the rooms party everything. But
the worst thing was when at my reception we had
(30:23):
two people who were so drunk that we were told
that if they didn't leave immediately, we would be fine.
Oh so that was fun.
Speaker 7 (30:31):
But yeah, happy wedding day.
Speaker 3 (30:33):
Wow. Yeah, Okay, why didn't she have any say at all?
Is I didn't? I don't get that one.
Speaker 5 (30:38):
It wasn't her fiance that was making all the time.
Speaker 4 (30:40):
Don't because she can send a follow up talk about
or call us six one seven nine three one one
one eight and a lot of times. It happens with
the open bars too. Yeah.
Speaker 8 (30:49):
I went to a wedding this weekend, hot bottle, open
bar on the water on a boat, which is like
you get extra drunk on a boat no matter what.
Speaker 1 (30:58):
Me my boyfriend were talking to.
Speaker 8 (31:00):
I'm in the friends of the groom who I didn't know,
and I was like, what the hell?
Speaker 4 (31:03):
No, how was the wedding on the boat where you
had to beat you couldn't leave?
Speaker 1 (31:06):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (31:06):
You know when I tell you, I was literally I'm
not kidding guys. I was the first one off the boat.
They docked and the door didn't open yet, and I go,
can I leave? And the girls like yeah, go ahead.
Speaker 3 (31:16):
I mean I.
Speaker 1 (31:17):
Darted off the boat.
Speaker 8 (31:19):
I was so sir crazy by like it was sailed
from like six thirty to not to ten, but.
Speaker 1 (31:25):
He had on the boat five thirty. So I was
just like so ready to go.
Speaker 4 (31:29):
Yeah, there's no escape, there's no Irish goodbye.
Speaker 3 (31:32):
You know.
Speaker 1 (31:32):
No, it's one of my close friends from high school.
Speaker 8 (31:34):
I lovery congratulations, beautiful couple, great, beautiful you know wedding.
But by like nine o'clock, I was like, let's wrap
this thing up, like I need to.
Speaker 4 (31:42):
Go yeah, especially because you don't drink.
Speaker 1 (31:44):
Yeah, I don't.
Speaker 8 (31:45):
I didn't drink, and I was just talking to all
her drunk you know, family members.
Speaker 1 (31:48):
It was just fine. But yeah, I got interesting stories.
Speaker 3 (31:51):
Got the DJ playing celebration for a third time. It's
really time.
Speaker 6 (31:54):
I'm surprised that with the wedding like that, they wouldn't
sort of cruise around and then come back to the
dock and just sort of he grew.
Speaker 5 (32:00):
We thought that someone has an issue, right, We then
go back out again.
Speaker 1 (32:05):
We were out there.
Speaker 4 (32:07):
What was your friend's name, Cassie graduations? It's a Cassie. Yeah,
And of course congrats to Billy's niece. Me a door,
Judy and Ron's a great guy.
Speaker 3 (32:17):
What are you doing?
Speaker 4 (32:21):
And Ron?
Speaker 3 (32:22):
Hear that again?
Speaker 12 (32:23):
Door?
Speaker 3 (32:24):
Judy and Ron's a great guy. Justin ed love that
it was.
Speaker 5 (32:29):
Judy said, it's Judy.
Speaker 3 (32:31):
Me in door, Judy and Ron's a great guy. I
was eating a protein bar. You know, I need to
go back to bed.
Speaker 4 (32:38):
Hey, you have a great weekend. Bill.
Speaker 12 (32:39):
I think it's messed up that men get to decide
when we get married and then women.
Speaker 5 (32:44):
Get stuck doing all the planning for the wedding.
Speaker 3 (32:47):
That's so true.
Speaker 7 (32:48):
As much as possible, decisions should be made in partnership,
and if planning a wedding is too burdens then skip
it and do something simple.
Speaker 3 (32:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (33:00):
Well that's kind of what Selene Gomez. Selena Gomez was saying, like.
Speaker 6 (33:04):
Okay, buddy, like you helped with the engagement and now
you're not helping it.
Speaker 5 (33:08):
All with the wedding.
Speaker 1 (33:08):
Yeah, it's so true.
Speaker 8 (33:09):
We don't like most traditionally women we don't like propose.
Speaker 1 (33:13):
We normally just.
Speaker 8 (33:14):
Say if they don't propose, it's not happening, like I'm
not gonna nag somebody to marry me. So then you're like, okay,
you decided when whether it was not on my timeline,
and now I have to do all the work.
Speaker 4 (33:24):
But there's a difference, I think, between saying I don't
want any involvement, you do all the work, or saying
like I did, I'm willing to help with anything, let
me know, her saying you know what I got this,
Yeah I need you.
Speaker 3 (33:35):
I'll let you know, because I think most women would
rather you stay.
Speaker 11 (33:38):
Out of it.
Speaker 5 (33:39):
Well, Jen, probably she ran everything by you.
Speaker 3 (33:42):
Right, she did.
Speaker 4 (33:43):
Yeah, I was half listening most of the time. Yeah,
just tell me where to go and wed. Yeah, I
get to the gym.
Speaker 13 (33:52):
Wedding was lovely and we had a great time. But
you need to realize that women want their wedding and
they already have it all picked out. You're just along
for the ride and you need to pretend that you
have an opinion on something. Your opinion is never going
to be right, but she wants to know that you're
(34:15):
there just in case.
Speaker 6 (34:17):
Exactly well that you're yeah, because this is this is
your building a life together.
Speaker 5 (34:21):
So this is the start of it.
Speaker 3 (34:22):
And also, don't forget the mother of the bride is
going to plan most of this stuff.
Speaker 5 (34:25):
Well that's the other piece.
Speaker 6 (34:26):
Then that's a lot of drama comes in the whole
other discussion. Absolutely, and all of those like unfulfilled expectations
with the parents.
Speaker 3 (34:39):
And I went to a Scottish wedding this weekend and
the father tried to make a joke and said that.
Speaker 13 (34:49):
His current wife.
Speaker 12 (34:52):
Was in the audience, but everybody else heard the sea bomb.
Speaker 4 (34:58):
We dropped the sea word. Okay, okay, well you know.
Speaker 3 (35:03):
That's drama right there.
Speaker 4 (35:05):
Boy,
