into Gwyneth Paltrow and her.

Son Wow yesterday at the dining hall. He was all
like said calling. I'm like, oh no, why is he
calling me? Because I haven't talked to him?

And he goes, mom, I just ran into Gwyneth Paltrow
and Moses in the dining hall.

I'm like, no way. And I hear all like all
his like friends. It's like screaming in the background.

So Max has been doing freshman orientation. That's why they
were there early. But school starts this week, so all

So she was just roaming through the dining hall.

We need to talk about Justin's big pool party over
the Labor Day weekend. We can pass on and no,
I really insist that we talk about this. When are
you up on what went down?

I saw his IG stories, but that's it. I don't

Well, it turns out every child and there were a
lot of things about the party in the dunk tank.

Well I could tell the story, or you could just okay,
it's fine, there's no back.

Don't wat the whole thing back.

Yeah, yeah, I don't know. The pool was it was cold.
No one was really in the pool. They were in
the dunk tank all day. I went in at the
very beginning, and at the end of the night, like
you know, one of the kids came over with his
parents and the parents said, you know, can you tell
Justin what you did and apologize? And he said, I
pete in the dunk tank. And I said, oh, okay,
And then simultaneously all the kids around said, oh I've

been peeing that thing all day.

And then I realized it hit me, Like the pool,
no kid asked to use the bathroom. Yeah, the entire bother.

It's actually worse than the pool though, because the pool
has chlorina exactly.

This is a small body of it.

It was just a bigger toilet.

and it was really fun.

When you're sitting on the plank and you see the
person ready to throw the ball, it does give you

So at the end of the night, we had to
let the water out because the next day the guy
was going to come in the morning, you know. So
there's a plug at the bottom of the dunk tank
and the guy told me when he dropped it off,
he said, you know, be careful when you empty it
comes out fast. So of course I tried to keep
away from it. But you know, I have short arms,
and I opened it up and it sprayed out so

fast all over my face.

Okay, it's like people's urine draining onto your face. Yeah,
a bunch of kids. I mean, I don't know. I
wiped it off pretty quickly. There's no wiping.

I would go wash yourself.

Yeah, it's invaded your whole sit. Imagine all that you
do for your body and your system. And now you've
got multiple versions of urine sprinkled through your blood system.

But I watched a lot of sports over the weekend.
I watched a lot of tennis, the US Open. I
watched the doubles match yesterday with Venus Williams.

Can we talk about how crazy the players are being,
like smashing rackets, screaming at each other obscenities every single day.
Speaker 5 (06:59):
There's like an another thing that.
Speaker 3 (07:00):
Happened, emotional tantrums. They're yelling at each other when they
approached the net after a match. They're yelling at each
other in the locker rooms. They're complaining, they're whining. What
the hell is going on with professional tennis.

You guys are both big tennis fans, longtime tennis fans,
long time That's not normal.

Right, I ever saw it, not this much.

You know. I was talking to my wife Michelle about it,
because you know, John McEnroe is one of the commentators,
and he was a well known a hole, but somehow
you liked him as an a hole. This is this

Yeah, but I also watched the Belichick debut as a
college coach last night.

I stayed up for it. I was excited about it.
Bill Belichick making his debut as a coach of UNC.
It all started well enough. I mean U and C
the Tar Heels scored in the very first drive. The
quarterback looked great, Geo Lopez, cool guy. And then it
all went south.

It went downhill.

I mean they were blown out forty eight to fourteen.
This is how bad it got. At one point four
porters starting here in checkel Hill.

A lot of fans were leaving, like third quarter. They
couldn't get they couldn't get out of their fast enough.

And then the lead in. Even before the game, I
was watching Pat McAfee, he was one of the commentators.
They're ready for the game. The watching bands who were
out there on the field, and all they talked about
was Belichick, Belichick, Belichick, the cut.

Off hoodie on they had him going into the game
like you know, this is this is what I'm all about,
the cutoff hoodie.

And then forty eight fourteen.

Randy was actually sitting with Jordan. Yeh, Bill Belichick's girlfriend
in the box. But did you see the poster or
the sign that somebody made? It said air Jordawn with
the famous yoga post bill holding her up.

why would I play a postgame comment from the real
Bill Belichick if I can pull Ai Belichick.

without any lube or any mercy, right in front of
my twenty four year old girlfriend watching in the stands.
Without Tom Brady, I would have been a full time
McDonald's worker, flipping burgers my entire life. And you guys
saw that tonight. Tom Brady carried me my whole career.
So I want to send a message Tom and beg

him to please join the North Carolina team. We'll find
a way to make him eligible somehow, someway, because I
can't win with these little kids who I don't even
know the names of a bunch of useless trash cans,
ruining my reputation as the best coach in NFL history

Is a bit ironic that, you know, there was some
talks in his final season or two seasons with the

he joins college football with his young players.

Yeah, it just it was humiliating. I mean, you know,
we talked about it a couple of minutes ago. The
hype was like incredible. It was all Belichick. It's all

They're all heading for the exits. Yeah. At home, they're
all heading for the exits. I got to tell you
something though, I was on it early. I was watching
the broadcast early with Pat McAfee and everything. But I
really it was old school to see the marching bands
on the field, and the marching band actually did the

going way back and look at the marching band out
there and doing the national anthem.

play Charlotte Saturday night. So that's weird, isn't it? Two
games in a row against North Carolina, UNC and Charlotte.

so they play certain people seven o'clock.

the death. Later this past weekend, a Utah woman at
the festival gave birth and she didn't even know she

MTV Awards this weekend and all this week. MTV is

going to be playing music videos twenty four to seven
on several of their MTV stations. You don't really see
music videos. I mean, remember they used to dominate. Everything
was about the music video.

they would have like hours of music. You come home

a wedding, typically there is a lot of drama. Lisa,

The jumping off point was that I came in this
morning and I said, hey, did you hear that Selena
Gomez and Benny Blanco are having problems with their wedding?
Like they're like the hot couple. Everything seems to be
going perfectly for them. Well not so much with the
wedding because she's upset that he's not helping her plan stuff.

So that was sort of an aside. So then we started.

Talking about our own sort of family stuff going on,
and I have a family wedding coming up, and the
the one side, they refuse to plan the rehearsal dinner.
Speaker 5 (23:09):
Now, the rehearsal dinner is what you have the night
before for out of town guests.

Were a lot of out of town guests coming and
for some reason, they're not having anything. So now my
family and my parents have had to step in and
now we're hosting everything.

That wow, nice to your parents, not at all.
Speaker 6 (23:26):
So yeah, but it was it's kind of been like
this weird back and forth thing like what should we do?
Speaker 5 (23:31):
What shouldn't we do?

And it's always like with weddings, it's like unfulfilled expectations,
like right, and I don't think people understand sometimes that,
you know, and I know Billy has a situation too,
you know, so anyway.

Yeah, unfulfilled expectations. That's a great way to put it.
You know, you have all the and you know what,
expectations lead to resentments, Yes, and that's what happens with weddings.
Like going back to Selena and Bennie, you know, on
the one side, I can see Benny has this really
outspoken love bird. You know, he filled the bathtub with cheese,
He goes out of his way her happy, So one

would think he'd want more of a hand in the wedding,
and he's not. He's kind of on the you know,
not doing anything. So that's the criticism.

But is Selena the one that's complaining or is it
just people on social.
Speaker 5 (24:17):
I think she's complaining to her friends.
Speaker 6 (24:19):
But you're right, it's surprising since he's been so involved
in the romance part of it leading up to it,
you would think he would have been like, well, I
you know, I'd like to have a say and like
what the cake tastes like? I have to say as
a woman, I actually think it's good that he's kind
of like stepping aside and just giving her space.

If my wife planned the whole wedding, I was there
to offer my help, but she was like, no, thank you,
I'll be okay.
Speaker 8 (24:40):
Well, I think Benny thinks he's doing the romantic thing
or the right thing by letting her have her dream wedding, like,
whatever you want, I love you, whatever you I don't care,
We'll do whatever you want. I think a lot of
guys to think that they're doing the right thing by
saying like, hey, I want you to be happy, so
don't even think about me.

Just do you on this right too.

That's why it's surprised. I think that she's complaining.

Yeah, but there typically are so many decisions that have
to be made with the wedding, and the drama is
usually resulted from something that doesn't matter. You know, the
major things. There's never drama. You know where the wedding
is going to be, the viow, there's never any drama.
The drama is always about little things that don't matter
at all.

Well to everybody else, they don't matter, But to the person,
it's the it's a huge deal.

You know what the drama is in the details.

Well, it turns out every child and there were a
lot of things about the party in the dunk tank.

Yeah, yeah, I don't know. The pool was it was cold.
No one was really in the pool. They were in
the dunk tank all day. I went in at the
very beginning, and at the end of the night, like

Justin what you did and apologize? And he said, I
pete in the dunk tank. And I said, oh, okay,
And then simultaneously all the kids around said, oh I've

been peeing that thing all day.

And then I realized it hit me, Like the pool,
no kid asked to use the bathroom. Yeah, the entire bother.

It's actually worse than the pool though, because the pool
has chlorina exactly.

It was just a bigger toilet.

and the guy told me when he dropped it off,

away from it. But you know, I have short arms,
and I opened it up and it sprayed out so

Okay, it's like people's urine draining onto your face. Yeah,
a bunch of kids. I mean, I don't know. I

before for out of town guests.

Were a lot of out of town guests coming and
for some reason, they're not having anything. So now my
family and my parents have had to step in and

this weird back and forth thing like what should we do?

expectations lead to resentments, Yes, and that's what happens with weddings.

would think he'd want more of a hand in the wedding,
and he's not. He's kind of on the you know,
not doing anything. So that's the criticism.

Well, I think Benny thinks he's doing the romantic thing

We'll do whatever you want. I think a lot of
guys to think that they're doing the right thing by
saying like, hey, I want you to be happy, so
don't even think about me.

That's why it's surprised. I think that she's complaining.

Yeah, but there typically are so many decisions that have
to be made with the wedding, and the drama is

The drama is always about little things that don't matter

I went to a wedding this weekend, hot bottle, open
bar on the water on a boat, which is like
you get extra drunk on a boat no matter what.

Me my boyfriend were talking to.

I'm in the friends of the groom who I didn't know,
and I was like, what the hell?
Speaker 4 (31:03):
No, how was the wedding on the boat where you
had to beat you couldn't leave?

You know when I tell you, I was literally I'm
not kidding guys. I was the first one off the boat.
They docked and the door didn't open yet, and I go,
can I leave? And the girls like yeah, go ahead.

Darted off the boat.
Speaker 8 (31:19):
I was so sir crazy by like it was sailed
from like six thirty to not to ten, but.

He had on the boat five thirty. So I was
just like so ready to go.

Yeah, there's no escape, there's no Irish goodbye.

No, it's one of my close friends from high school.

I lovery congratulations, beautiful couple, great, beautiful you know wedding.
But by like nine o'clock, I was like, let's wrap
this thing up, like I need to.

Go yeah, especially because you don't drink.

Yeah, I don't.

I didn't drink, and I was just talking to all
her drunk you know, family members.
Speaker 1 (31:48):
It was just fine. But yeah, I got interesting stories.

Got the DJ playing celebration for a third time. It's
really time.
Speaker 6 (31:54):
I'm surprised that with the wedding like that, they wouldn't
sort of cruise around and then come back to the
dock and just sort of he grew.
Speaker 5 (32:00):
We thought that someone has an issue, right, We then
go back out again.
Speaker 1 (32:05):
We were out there.
Speaker 4 (32:07):
What was your friend's name, Cassie graduations? It's a Cassie. Yeah,
And of course congrats to Billy's niece. Me a door,
Judy and Ron's a great guy.

I think it's messed up that men get to decide
when we get married and then women.

Get stuck doing all the planning for the wedding.

As much as possible, decisions should be made in partnership,
and if planning a wedding is too burdens then skip
it and do something simple.

Well that's kind of what Selene Gomez. Selena Gomez was saying, like.

Okay, buddy, like you helped with the engagement and now
you're not helping it.

All with the wedding.

Yeah, it's so true.

We don't like most traditionally women we don't like propose.

We normally just.

Say if they don't propose, it's not happening, like I'm
not gonna nag somebody to marry me. So then you're like, okay,
you decided when whether it was not on my timeline,
and now I have to do all the work.
Speaker 4 (33:24):
But there's a difference, I think, between saying I don't
want any involvement, you do all the work, or saying
like I did, I'm willing to help with anything, let
me know, her saying you know what I got this,
Yeah I need you.
Speaker 3 (33:35):
I'll let you know, because I think most women would
rather you stay.
Speaker 11 (33:38):
Out of it.
Speaker 5 (33:39):
Well, Jen, probably she ran everything by you.
Speaker 3 (33:42):
Right, she did.

Yeah, I was half listening most of the time. Yeah,
just tell me where to go and wed. Yeah, I
get to the gym.

Wedding was lovely and we had a great time. But
you need to realize that women want their wedding and
they already have it all picked out. You're just along
for the ride and you need to pretend that you
have an opinion on something. Your opinion is never going
to be right, but she wants to know that you're

there just in case.

Exactly well that you're yeah, because this is this is
your building a life together.
Speaker 5 (34:21):
So this is the start of it.

And also, don't forget the mother of the bride is
going to plan most of this stuff.

Well that's the other piece.

Then that's a lot of drama comes in the whole
other discussion. Absolutely, and all of those like unfulfilled expectations
with the parents.

And I went to a Scottish wedding this weekend and
the father tried to make a joke and said that.

His current wife.

Was in the audience, but everybody else heard the sea bomb.

We dropped the sea word. Okay, okay, well you know.
