Billy and Lisa in the morning. It's just a great
start to my day on kids one away.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
Oh man, welcome in. It's the Billy and Lisa the
Morning Show.

Speaker 4 (00:12):
Oh my god.

Speaker 3 (00:13):
I don't even know what to say. Travis and Taylor
are engaged. When I saw that post yesterday, I said,
oh my god, the world is going.

Speaker 4 (00:22):
To be rupped.

Speaker 5 (00:22):
And it hask it did it broke records again like
they always do.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
They're basically are royal couple.

Speaker 4 (00:29):
They really are.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
They are.

Speaker 4 (00:31):
I mean, think about it.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
We're going to talk about this throughout the show, but
we will have a talkback segment later this morning where
we want your predictions that when and where is this
wedding going to happen? Just how big are they as
a couple. Who's the biggest couple ever? Good questions, all
stuff we'll talk about during the show. But the big
news is Taylor and Travis they are engaged.

Speaker 6 (00:50):
I love that I got the notification about the engagement
on my phone from ESPN. That doesn't speak volumes on this.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Yeah, layers of people are in.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
God, I thought when I texted you justin, I said,
I hope I'm the first one.

Speaker 4 (01:04):
I hope I'm telling.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
Justin and I did the same thing with relieving me
about it.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
I said, I'm praying that I'm the one that broke
the news to Justin and Lisa.

Speaker 4 (01:11):
No.

Speaker 6 (01:11):
No, it was friggin' Adam Schefter.

Speaker 7 (01:13):
Oh damn it.

Speaker 8 (01:14):
Adam.

Speaker 5 (01:15):
Yeah, yeah, engaged to say, I'm genuinely excited for them,
like really happy.

Speaker 4 (01:21):
Yeah, I saw your post yesterday.

Speaker 5 (01:23):
You were gushing, well, because it just makes you think about,
like Justin said, I mean, this touches so many different people, right,
like the sports world, the entertainment.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
World, the White House. Yeah, yeah, that is amazing. The
President was having his cabinet meeting. Do you know how
private and serious a presidential cabinet meeting is. They're talking
about world leaders, world events, and he was asked about
Taylor Swift.

Speaker 6 (01:54):
And he answered he kind of flipped the switch a
little bit, he you know, pushed them. Luck we'll have
that coming up. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Yeah, it's a crazy, crazy story, So much to talk about,
so much going on this morning. Tate McCrae had the
first of her two shows last night in the TV Garden.

Speaker 4 (02:08):
We're going to take you.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
There in the at six point forty this morning. She
did some cool things on stage in the TV garden
last night.

Speaker 4 (02:16):
That's going on.

Speaker 5 (02:17):
And in my life, I'm dropping Max off at school today.

Speaker 6 (02:20):
Oh knowledge one o'clock.

Speaker 9 (02:22):
Kay.

Speaker 10 (02:22):
I just wanted to wish Lisa and her son Max
and her family an amazing college drop off day. We
dropped our son, whose name is also Max, off at
college on Thursday. Very exciting, lots of tears from me,
but happy excitement for him. And he's texted several times that.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
He's doing great.

Speaker 10 (02:46):
So I'm sure your son won't do amazing.

Speaker 4 (02:49):
So, Lisa, is the car already packed.

Speaker 5 (02:53):
Everything's waiting to be put in the back of the car,
but it's all Yeah, it's all packed. But we had
dinner last night with his roommate and his roommate it's
mother and then from California, from like the LA area,
so they you know, they traveled far.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
So it was nice to get together with them.

Speaker 4 (03:08):
The roommate is one of the biggest deal.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
Yeah, they get along very wow, very lucky.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
You told a really cool story in the office before
we went on the air this morning about Ruby.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
Oh my god.

Speaker 5 (03:19):
So we have a bean bag chair and it came
in like this tiny little box and then you it
kind of like keeps expanding for a couple.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
Of days, like I don't know, we had one, yeah,
you know.

Speaker 5 (03:29):
So it's sitting in the kitchen expanding. And this morning
I walked down and Ruby was laying on it.

Speaker 4 (03:35):
Oh, she's so good.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
No, it was like I took it.

Speaker 5 (03:38):
I was like, oh, my god, she knows, like because
she has a beautiful dog bad that she always sleeps on.
And then the fact that she was sleeping on that
and it's his chair that's going to college, I was like,
this is.

Speaker 6 (03:48):
Not He always says it. Yeah, Billy always says it
about the dogs. They know, they can sense it, they
know every it's amazing. They're amazing creatures. So Ruby knows
Max is on his way to call it. It's going
to be emotional. Least, just make sure you pay attention.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
Pay attention. Drop off mom, and.

Speaker 11 (04:08):
I dropped my baby off at Endicot this weekend, and
I miss him so much already, although I know he's
going to be great, but I feel for all the
mama's dropping him to babies off at college.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
And also Lisa, I'm coming to the book club. What
should we wear? Thanks?

Speaker 3 (04:26):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (04:26):
It's like Jesse casual for the book club.

Speaker 6 (04:30):
Okay, yeah, I mean wear a college shirt.

Speaker 5 (04:32):
If you're a Jesse, I think dress casual is a
good cocktail is yeah, good.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
Way to describe it. I mean if you're a means
if Yeah, just where what you want?

Speaker 4 (04:43):
It's tomorrow night, right it is?

Speaker 6 (04:45):
You're going? Right?

Speaker 1 (04:46):
Bill?

Speaker 4 (04:47):
Yes?

Speaker 6 (04:47):
I am what should we're all going? But Lis? What
should Bill do to cover up that that massive thing
on his chin that I can't stop looking at?

Speaker 5 (04:54):
I'm glad you brought this up so I you know,
I see him at like four thirty in the morning,
I walk and he's got a.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
Giant piece of toilet paper.

Speaker 4 (05:04):
Ship stopped you.

Speaker 5 (05:05):
When I look at him, I'm like, Okay, what's going
on with the face hacking?

Speaker 4 (05:09):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (05:09):
I gouged my face with the razor this morning.

Speaker 4 (05:13):
When I tell you, I grab the skin so bad.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
I let the razor go and it was still hanging
off my face.

Speaker 4 (05:21):
That's how deep it went.

Speaker 3 (05:23):
And yeah, so I've got the book club tomorrow, I've
got television today.

Speaker 4 (05:27):
Yeah, you need a look what am I going to
do with this gash?

Speaker 2 (05:30):
You just need a little makeup?

Speaker 6 (05:31):
You got to cover it up. Somehow. Yeah, I did
take a video for people. I will post that on
my Instagram. You can take a look.

Speaker 4 (05:37):
When did you take a video?

Speaker 6 (05:38):
Thing hanging off of Billy's face.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
It happens a piece of toilet.

Speaker 3 (05:43):
I got to go back to the mom that said
she was dropping her kid off at Endicock College. I
dropped Dylan off at Endicock College. My son, Dylan and
I still have those memories. This is this is a
big day for you. This it's going to be emotional,
it's going to be exciting, it's going to be rewarding.

Speaker 4 (05:58):
Just a combination of a moment.

Speaker 5 (06:00):
Yeah, I'm so happy for him. He's like he's thriving.
So this is just the next This is just the next.

Speaker 6 (06:06):
Step, next chapter.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
And by the way, beware the parking restrictions in and
around Boston. This is the week back to school. You
don't get started, okay.

Speaker 6 (06:17):
Oh yeah, and the all ruin your day Austin Christmas
is coming up this weekend as well, so you can
go shopping on the street. Is a lot going on.
But the big story in our world besides Taylor is Bill.

Speaker 8 (06:32):
Cut myself.

Speaker 9 (06:33):
Shots from the Planet Fitness Kiss one O eight.

Speaker 8 (06:37):
Studios We're back with Villie and Lisa in the morning.

Speaker 4 (06:41):
Kiss Hey, guys, welcome back.

Speaker 3 (06:44):
Everybody is fully a buzz about the Taylors with Travis
Kelsey engagement is official. They made it official, although there's
a lot of speculation the engagement may have happened to
it three weeks sooner.

Speaker 5 (06:56):
Rightly, well, because that's because Ed Kelsey has been talking
Pope Shavis' dad.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
You always I always.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
Loved the Yeah, okay, well it's it's obviously non speculation.
It's true. His dad told us when it happened, but
he really he went to like the Cleveland Local News.
That's so cute again.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
Yeah, he was spilling all the beams.

Speaker 3 (07:15):
Yeah. Anyway, we'll break it all down throughout the morning show,
especially coming up in the Entertainment Report at seven to
ten this morning. But Tate McCrae has a second sold
out show in the TD Garden tonight on stage in
the Garden last night.

Speaker 4 (07:30):
She was thrilled to be back on the TD Garden stage.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
It's so crazy. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (07:41):
Remember she headlined our jingle Ball in the Garden on
the TD Garden stage back in December. And it's no
secret she loves Boston. She told fans last night why
Boston is so special to her.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
When I was eighteen years.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
Old, I had like a really crazy night.

Speaker 10 (07:57):
Out here in Boston.

Speaker 7 (08:02):
You guys ask all the time.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
What happens there?

Speaker 1 (08:04):
Write so many loves about it.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
Yeah, but I like, my phone died, I went out,
I didn't talk to anyone.

Speaker 12 (08:11):
I'm moving.

Speaker 13 (08:12):
It was looking for me.

Speaker 4 (08:13):
It was a disaster.

Speaker 2 (08:14):
It was terrible, and I ended up writing a whole
album about it.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
So this one is really neat and really specific.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
But this one's for you Boston.

Speaker 3 (08:30):
Yeah, it was that night in Boston that sparked her
song Think Later, Freaking in the Boston Colm, Yeah, I
getting freaky?

Speaker 6 (08:46):
Oh Yeah, who do you think it is?

Speaker 2 (08:48):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (08:49):
I mean, I mean she was eighteen was at the
time when she was here with us, it was twenty
twenty two.

Speaker 6 (08:55):
I think she's twenty one.

Speaker 3 (08:56):
Down at the hotel, right, And this was pretty cool
during her sound check, you know, she covers somebody else's song.
During the sound check, she covered Taylor's song style.

Speaker 2 (09:11):
I love that song. I wonder if she made a
last minute change because.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
Of the engagement.

Speaker 3 (09:17):
Yeah, definitely, which is impressive that she put that song
together that quickly.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
Well that songs like legendary.

Speaker 1 (09:24):
That's a good one.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
But it's weird that it's about Harry Styles.

Speaker 4 (09:29):
Even weirder that it's my favorite Taylor song.

Speaker 6 (09:32):
It's mine too, produced by Max Martin by the way,
before producing her new album Anyway.

Speaker 4 (09:40):
Yeah, going Zara Larson.

Speaker 3 (09:43):
I didn't know this because justin in your jams a
week or two ago and on this show you played
a clip of Zarah Larson's a new song. Yeah, she
opened for Tate McCrae in the Garden. She's out on
tour with Tate and stopped by the Kiss Studios yesterday
to talk about this tour with Tate.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
So fun, it really has been.

Speaker 5 (10:03):
It's a beautiful crowd, it's an amazing stage, amazing venues.

Speaker 6 (10:08):
Yeah, we just missed her.

Speaker 9 (10:09):
No, I know.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
I was here late yesterday working on book club stuff
and I missed her too.

Speaker 6 (10:14):
Yeah, she was all around the radio station.

Speaker 14 (10:16):
Well, it's funny because you know, McCabe's off this week
and we have to film in for him, and he
like sent an email like I'm out of office the
next week. Literally, he was here yesterday. I was like,
remember when you said you weren't working, but yeah, he
wanted me.

Speaker 1 (10:28):
Sarah Lawson.

Speaker 6 (10:28):
Oh you gotta love the mighty one. Yeah, mighty We
do like her new song anyway. It's called Crush, Old
Baby Crush. Yeah, it's good.

Speaker 2 (10:42):
It is good.

Speaker 6 (10:42):
It's good.

Speaker 4 (10:43):
That's pretty good. Did she sit down with Mikey with.

Speaker 6 (10:46):
Mikey Yeah, yeah, Mikey V I love that lush life,
which one lush life?

Speaker 4 (10:52):
Okay, but that was a while back.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
It's a while back on my Max term me onto
that song.

Speaker 4 (10:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (10:57):
So Tate end Zara will be back on the TV's
Garden Stage tonight. It's a big week for music now.

Speaker 1 (11:05):
The entertainment updates with a Billy cotstuff.

Speaker 4 (11:17):
Okay, and uh yeah, I don't know what just happened.

Speaker 14 (11:26):
It's completely out of you when you take too long
to like start talking, I'm like, do I.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
She gave me the old finger?

Speaker 3 (11:34):
Like okay, all right, Taylor and Travis are engaged. Okay,
hands down, that is the story. It's the big buzz
story he heard around the world.

Speaker 6 (11:46):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (11:47):
So they confirmed the engagement with the picture in the
post yesterday and that post, I should mention Lesa had
fourteen million lights in the first hour alone.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
Everything they do is record breaking. The podcast was record breaking,
this her air's tour.

Speaker 3 (12:04):
Yeah, and and the engagement ring is kind of record
breaking thing of it between eight and ten carrots, reportedly
between a half million and a million dollars.

Speaker 4 (12:15):
And what else do we know about that ring?

Speaker 8 (12:18):
The shape of the diamond which people always ask about,
an elongated cushion. So a cushion diamond is one that
has soft, rounded, kind of pillowed corners, and an elongated
cushion is one that's more rectangular in shape. The band,
the actual ring design itself is yellow gold. Yellow gold
is having a huge moment, has been and it's thick,
really nicely designed with vintage inspired scroll work. It seems.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
Yeah, it's gorgeous. The elongated cushion.

Speaker 4 (12:45):
It's a lot of money, a lot of money. It's
like lunch money for them.

Speaker 9 (12:49):
Though.

Speaker 6 (12:49):
I don't know a lot about rings, but it does
look beautiful.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
It's massive and it's but it doesn't like read massive.

Speaker 1 (12:56):
Yeah, guys, I have one issue. I'm not trying. I'm
not trying to like to come out down already.

Speaker 14 (13:02):
Okay, you guys know, an spreading joy and positivity wherever
she goes, Oh go ahead. It was beautiful, the ring
was beautiful, They looked so happy, the background was beautiful.
I'm a nail girly, and I don't know if this
is Travis's fault or she just she never nails done.
And if I get engaged and you don't make sure

(13:22):
my nails are done, I'm not going to be very happy.

Speaker 5 (13:26):
I'm just saying, yeah, but that's weird because I feel
like that picture. I don't necessarily know if that picture
was taken on the day they actually got engaged, because
they said because Travis's dad spoke to a Cleveland news
station and told some details.

Speaker 4 (13:42):
Oh, I think we have that right here.

Speaker 15 (13:44):
I think she was getting maybe a little antsy, but
he was gonna put it off to this week to
you know, make some grand thing, to make it a
big special event. And and I told him repeatedly, you know,
you could do it on the side of the road, dude,
or any place that makes it a special event.

Speaker 14 (13:58):
Okay, Dad, I think it was because they said they'd
stopped at like a rose garden before they went to
dinner in Missouri, So I don't so.

Speaker 6 (14:04):
Are you talking about the post that they posted? Yeah, Ill,
the nails look done.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
I know, I scrolled in.

Speaker 14 (14:10):
I know, I literally zoomed in to see them, Like,
is that a light pale like or is it her
actual nail?

Speaker 1 (14:15):
I think it's just her nail.

Speaker 6 (14:17):
Oh, I mean they I think not colored like jagged?

Speaker 1 (14:20):
What like they look like, Yeah, there's no one. I
don't know.

Speaker 2 (14:22):
I thought they looked fine.

Speaker 1 (14:24):
I'm just a nail girly, like I just see my
nails done for that moment.

Speaker 5 (14:27):
Okay, all right, Well they definitely were matchy, matching their outfits.
She's wearing a Ralph Lauren dress and he's wearing Raff Laurence.
So that's why I was kind of like, I feel
like the picture was done after maybe I.

Speaker 1 (14:39):
Was beautiful the setting.

Speaker 4 (14:40):
So when is the wedding?

Speaker 2 (14:42):
Probably after the football season.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
I was assume next summer next.

Speaker 3 (14:45):
You know, are they going to choose a wedding date
based on something in there? You know how Taylor does
that with birds and everything else.

Speaker 4 (14:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (14:52):
Yeah, I was watching the news this morning. They were
talking about the only Saturday day that's the has a
thirteenth day in it is June in.

Speaker 14 (14:59):
Twenty twenty seve But when you're that rich, you can
get married on Wednesday, June wedding.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
Though they've had a big August.

Speaker 5 (15:07):
She did the New Heights podcast, which was on August thirteenth, right,
and then she announced the engagement yesterday, which is August
twenty six. So if you add thirteen to thirty, you
know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (15:18):
If it comes up with twenty.

Speaker 6 (15:20):
Sex never ends with her.

Speaker 4 (15:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (15:22):
In the New Heights podcast, just broke againness world book record.

Speaker 6 (15:26):
Yep, Yeah, okay, this is a worldwide story.

Speaker 4 (15:31):
I'll see it.

Speaker 3 (15:32):
Even interrupted President Trump's cabinet meeting yesterday.

Speaker 9 (15:35):
I have to tell you the biggest pop culture news
of the year. For while we were in this cabinet meeting,
Travis Kelsey and Taylor Swift are engaged in the War Monster.

Speaker 16 (15:44):
Reactions are, well, I wish I'm a lot of love. Yeah,
I think it's I think you said a great player.
I think he's a great guy, and I think that
she's a terrific person. So I wish I'm a lot
of love.

Speaker 6 (15:58):
So weird. On Tail on September fifteenth, twenty twenty four,
he posted I hate Taylor.

Speaker 1 (16:05):
Oh boy, whoa. It's not even a whole year since then.

Speaker 3 (16:10):
Yeah, Well, you know, things change, speculation do you have
any you have some predictions.

Speaker 4 (16:15):
If you're listening, give us a call six one.

Speaker 3 (16:17):
Seven, nine three eight or justin they can send you
a talk back because we will be talking about it
all morning.

Speaker 6 (16:24):
Yeah. Well seven twenty five will take some of your
predictions and just you know, all around shadow around the engagement.

Speaker 5 (16:29):
Yeah. I wonder if it'll be like a giant wedding
or if she'll do something really intimate.

Speaker 3 (16:34):
Hmmm.

Speaker 4 (16:35):
I would like intimate with an input. Okay, I'm just saying.

Speaker 6 (16:39):
Well, maybe, yeah, yeah, maybe just their closest friends and family.

Speaker 3 (16:44):
Meantime, we've talked a lot this week about Lil nas X.
He's arrest in Los Angeles for walking the streets naked,
assaulting a police officer. Yesterday he was talking about it.

Speaker 4 (16:54):
That was terrifying, that was a terrifying last four days.

Speaker 6 (17:01):
But your girl's gonna be all right.

Speaker 1 (17:05):
Your girl's gonna be all right, man.

Speaker 6 (17:07):
I identify with that so much, like when you first
go in there and they shut that door. It's wild
in jail. You know, they give you the whool blanket.
You're on a steal. You know, there's no mattress on there.
They closed that door. Yeah, yeah, boy, never forget the
first night.

Speaker 4 (17:25):
Nope. And Tate McCray had her first show in the
TD Garden last night. During her sound check she covered Taylor's.

Speaker 3 (17:31):
Song Style and earlier this morning you were asking did
she have a last minute change because of the engagement announcement.

Speaker 5 (17:37):
It seems like maybe that's what happened. So that's so cool.

Speaker 2 (17:42):
Yeah, and we love that song.

Speaker 5 (17:44):
Yeah, ironically that it's about Harry Styles exactly.

Speaker 3 (17:50):
Yesterday we gave away all our tape Tate McCray tickets,
We gave him away all day. But this morning at
eight ten, we've got Benson Boone tickets. He's going to
be in the Garden for his sold out show next week,
so that's going on at a ten this morning. Morgan
Wallin sold out Jillett Stadium last Friday night. He sold
out two shows, but he violated curfew Friday night. He
went fourteen minutes past the eleven thirty curfew and was

(18:12):
fined more than fifteen thousand dollars.

Speaker 5 (18:15):
Ooh for him, that's like a sandwich twenty five cents
a person.

Speaker 1 (18:21):
Yeah, oh really yeah, interesting, I know.

Speaker 2 (18:23):
How did they arrive at that? Like twenty five cents
a verson?

Speaker 6 (18:27):
And how much does each person pay per ticket?

Speaker 4 (18:29):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (18:29):
It varies obviously, right right?

Speaker 4 (18:31):
Did he not violate the second show?

Speaker 2 (18:34):
I guess not.

Speaker 6 (18:34):
Probably not. My friend went to the first show, he
left second and last song. They listened to the last
song as they were walking by.

Speaker 4 (18:41):
Yeah, I should mention.

Speaker 3 (18:43):
Tate McCrae, by the way, has been added to the
MTV Awards, which after September seventh, So it's going to
be Tate mccraid Doja Caatpost Malone, Alex Warren and Sabrina
Carpenter in for the first time.

Speaker 4 (18:54):
The MTV Awards are going to air on CBS and.

Speaker 3 (18:58):
iHeartRadio Music Fest that will happen September nineteenth and twentieth
in Vegas.

Speaker 4 (19:02):
Tate McCrae is doing our show in Vegas as well.

Speaker 3 (19:06):
I always wonder how they can do it, night after night,
a new city, a new market. They get up on stage,
they do an entire show. Again, it's fascinating to me. Man,
she's in the VMEs. Yes, iHeart Festival and then coming
in October back to the Garden. Yeah, and just finish
two shows here or tonight we'll finish her two shows
in Boston. Hey, the Powerball jackpot tonight eight hundred and

(19:26):
fifty million. Red Sox beat the Oriols. Five s at
Red Sox are hot. They're a full game up on
the Yankees now in that wildcard race. And uh yeah,
don't forget Benson Boone tickets coming up at eight to
ten this morning. And we're brought to you by the
ninety nine restaurants. You got to try the new burgers
at the Nines. Bigger boulder beef here. They're half pound,

(19:47):
one hundred percent American angus beef. Sure to please anybody
in the group. Try the new bourbon onion burger and
get more aang for your buck. Gotta love the Nines
and there you go.

Speaker 2 (19:57):
Oh my god, Taylor Swiss has a lot ungated Chitian.
I have a long dated chitian. He sleeps aside me
every night.

Speaker 1 (20:06):
Billy and Lisa.

Speaker 17 (20:07):
That's by the way, it finally happened, Taylor and Travis
got engaged.

Speaker 1 (20:12):
I remember last year.

Speaker 11 (20:13):
I think Billy and Lisa had the bet of when
they would get engaged. I hope you guys still had
it going and someone hope we won.

Speaker 6 (20:20):
Oh now we figured it out. It was it was
that it wasn't they were going to engage, they would
still be together after a year, and that was two
years ago, so that ended.

Speaker 4 (20:30):
So I already lost the best you did.

Speaker 6 (20:32):
You did.

Speaker 4 (20:34):
Every single bete.

Speaker 1 (20:35):
You thought it was a pr sun you did.

Speaker 4 (20:37):
I really did, And I got to give it to
you guys, all right.

Speaker 3 (20:40):
I definitely thought it was a professional deal arranged for
by the NFL and Taylor's people. They put Travis and
Taylor together. It definitely helped the NFL when you think
about it, right, Yeah, more and more people, young people
all of a sudden were watching NFL games just so
they could get a glimpse of Taylor in the box.

Speaker 2 (20:57):
That's because they were actually in love. They were actually
dating and she wanted to be there, and that was
like the whole thing.

Speaker 3 (21:04):
Yeah, but this kind of came up. We all kind
of knew it was coming, but yet when it happened,
I was like, oh, they're engaged. Yeah, just like you
know what we haven't done. We haven't talked to producer Riley,
who is the biggest swifty I think I've ever met Riley?
Can you come in the main studios if you would
be so kind?

Speaker 4 (21:22):
She cried?

Speaker 6 (21:23):
She texted me yesterday about it, said she almost gone
into an accident, was swerving on the road. Ye you
METR frantically crying, yeah, microphone, I feel like my sister
got engaged.

Speaker 2 (21:33):
Yeah, oh my god, so exciting, right, Riley, I did
say that.

Speaker 9 (21:37):
Yes, I was in the car when this news got
broken to me. My friend Kelly actually texted me the
pictures and the scream that I let out by myself
in the car. There are not very many things that
I feel like very parasocial about, but like Taylor Swift
is definitely one of them. I literally I'm like, this
is my close friend. It's like my sister got married.

Speaker 5 (21:58):
Like I'm I was like speechless, But that's like her,
that's her aura. I mean, that's why she is who
she is.

Speaker 3 (22:05):
You bust the legitimately think you should have an invite
to the wedding.

Speaker 4 (22:09):
You're that close right now.

Speaker 9 (22:10):
No, I don't, like, I'm not like that crazy, but like,
she's just such an inspiration to a lot of people.
You know, she's had so many heartbreaks in her life
and she's never given up on love. It's like somebody
to really look up to in the sense of like
she's always going to be searching she's always been searching
for this and she finally found It's all.

Speaker 5 (22:27):
Right, and that's why we can all relate because she's
she's given it to us. She's told us how she's
felt over the years and heartbreak, and that's why we're
so happy.

Speaker 14 (22:38):
And she didn't settle because someone say, you know, she's
thirty five. For most women, you're like panicking at that point.

Speaker 2 (22:43):
You're right, because she was that actor guy for like
eight years yeah, him.

Speaker 4 (22:49):
Oh yeah, yeah. We had one movie and I saw
the movie.

Speaker 6 (22:56):
It was like a war movie and I'm like kissing
that Taylor's boy, But that's who he thought she was
going to be with.

Speaker 4 (23:02):
They were together for six years, a long.

Speaker 9 (23:04):
Time, and a lot of the songs that she was
writing during that period of her life it was about
how he didn't want to marry her. It was about
how she she wanted to get married and he really didn't.
And now it's like, like, look at what a couple
of years can do if you like, yeah, keep your
heart open and find someone.

Speaker 3 (23:22):
Didn't she have a brief fling with Matti Heally, Yeah,
brief yeah, and that seems very recent to me.

Speaker 1 (23:29):
Well, it was right before her and rebound. Yeah, she's
dating Justin.

Speaker 3 (23:33):
I couldn't help but think last night when we ran
clips from the New Heights podcast with the Kelsey Brothers
when Taylor was on the show, and by the way,
that broke a Ginness World book record, where.

Speaker 4 (23:43):
She talked about Travis and the way he treats her and.

Speaker 3 (23:47):
The way he talks to her and the way he
loves her was like something she's dreamt about and sung
about and written about.

Speaker 4 (23:54):
And and then all of a sudden, now they're engaged.
Pretty weird.

Speaker 3 (24:00):
And when it ever interrupted a cabinet meeting at the
White House where the reporters that excuse me, mister President,
you have to understand, the entire cabinet is in the room.
These are like worlds affairs they're talking about. Excuse me,
I thought you should know that Travis and Taylor just gunning.

Speaker 2 (24:17):
Just because everyone's phone is blowing up with the news.

Speaker 4 (24:20):
In the cabinet room.

Speaker 6 (24:21):
I got the notification from ESPN. Yeah, imagine that. Yeah,
White House, I have to.

Speaker 9 (24:25):
Tell you the biggest pop culture news of the year.

Speaker 6 (24:27):
For while we were in this cabinet.

Speaker 9 (24:28):
Meeting, Trams Kelsey and Taylor Swift are engaged in the world.

Speaker 16 (24:32):
Wonster reactions are, well, I wish him a lot of love. Yeah,
I think it's I think you said a great player.
I think he's a great guy, and I think that
she's a terrific person.

Speaker 6 (24:45):
So I wish them a lot of love.

Speaker 3 (24:46):
It wow, And he kind of flipped because it was
very recently where the President was criticizing Taylor Swift and
now he was all in at the cabinet meeting yesterday.
What a crazy story. And now the speculation, you know,
are they the biggest couple ever? You know who would
be bigger?

Speaker 12 (25:05):
Right?

Speaker 5 (25:06):
Well, we were, we were talking about this off the air,
like biggest celebrity engagements and like obviously Harry and Megan
more recent just because of like the whole Prince and
Princess angle too, and everyone tuning into their wedding.

Speaker 4 (25:20):
I was the Royal wedding.

Speaker 6 (25:22):
It's gotta be out there.

Speaker 1 (25:23):
I was up there.

Speaker 4 (25:24):
But we had Tom and Giselle.

Speaker 5 (25:26):
Yep, for a while, j Loo and Ben Justin Bieber
and Haley Bieber.

Speaker 2 (25:29):
That was a big one. Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco.

Speaker 6 (25:32):
I remember Brittany was married to that guy for like
what was it?

Speaker 4 (25:36):
Oh, very yeah, yeah, like Vegas wedding that lasted twenty.

Speaker 1 (25:42):
Four hours hometown, it was like, really weird.

Speaker 4 (25:46):
It's Jason, Jason Alexander y. Yes, wow, a good one.
I don't think they'll be in the list of top ten.

Speaker 2 (25:53):
Now about Kim Kay and Kanye, Oh yeah.

Speaker 4 (25:56):
Very good one.

Speaker 14 (25:56):
Well, speaking of Brittany, Brittany Justin, they were everywhere like
that year they went together, they were they were that couple.

Speaker 6 (26:03):
Yeah, they were big ones. So yeah, I'm telling you, man,
this is this a big deal.

Speaker 18 (26:07):
Good morning guys, especially Billy. My prediction is they're going
to get married in yon Haven because they're trying to
do a classy like somebody else I know. And I
don't know if anybody's on Instagram over the weekend, but
Jesus Justin with those short shorts showing off those squads,
I think I might have a new crush.

Speaker 2 (26:27):
Now it's topic time with Billy and Lisa in the morning.

Speaker 3 (26:31):
So we asked our listenership, what do you think, what
are your emotions? What are you thinking about the Taylor engagement?

Speaker 4 (26:38):
And boy are those top backs pouring as.

Speaker 6 (26:41):
Did you say emotions? Bill?

Speaker 9 (26:43):
Yes? No, like literally, why am I crying listening to
the love story.

Speaker 19 (26:47):
And the fact that, like someone just finally said this, sir,
this is what she's in writing arounds. She was fifteen,
sixteen years old and like finally, like someone just said
this like to her, Like I'm literally and I don't
even know this person, but like we're so emotionally invested,
like I'm so happy for her, Like, oh.

Speaker 7 (27:10):
My god, wow, amazing.

Speaker 2 (27:21):
It gives me the chills, it really does.

Speaker 3 (27:23):
Yeah, and you know it's weird that talkbacker and her
emotions had producer Riley crying all over again in her studio.

Speaker 20 (27:31):
I feel exactly the same as Riley. When I found
out that Taylor got engaged, it felt like a family
member had gotten engaged. I think I was more excited.
I am more excited for Taylor Swift than I would
be for myself. We've followed her from the beginning, and
just to see her so happy and to see this
all play out, it's very exciting.

Speaker 14 (27:54):
That's an insane statement that she's more she'd be more
happy for you.

Speaker 1 (27:58):
It's not herself, but I believe.

Speaker 4 (28:00):
She believes it.

Speaker 6 (28:01):
Yeah, yeah, what about being more excited for that engagement
than your own?

Speaker 12 (28:05):
I think I texted more people for Taylor's engagement than
I did with my own. I'm just so excited for her.
As someone who's been a long time fan since before
her first album came out, it's just so exciting to
see her happy. Everyone has read about her love life
in her music and her headlines, but this is really
the first relationship that she's fully shared with her fans,

(28:27):
and I think that's why everyone's so invested.

Speaker 2 (28:30):
Yeah, I completely agree. And it also to mention Travis
Kelcey is a great guy.

Speaker 4 (28:36):
He is just he seems he seems like a.

Speaker 5 (28:38):
Really solid human being, solid family, fun family. I don't know,
I think they're gonna have a great time together.

Speaker 3 (28:45):
And it's more believable to me now that he lost
the porn mustache, you know what I mean, it was
kind of freaked out by that.

Speaker 14 (28:52):
It's just well, I think it was interesting how everything
kind of played out. The year before this happened, or
a few months before it happened, the Kelsey family was
in the spot like you had two brothers against each other,
so we got to know Jason and their mom and
their dad, so you already kind of like they were
America's football family. And then you have America's biggest songwriter singer,

(29:12):
and they're both like mid you know, Pennsylvania, Ohio, like
middle American people Like I don't know.

Speaker 1 (29:17):
I just feel like it literally may make sense a
very good point.

Speaker 5 (29:21):
I just feel like they are best friends. Like you
can just they just emote that energy, right.

Speaker 6 (29:26):
I always think back to about, you know, before they
hooked up, we played the sound of Travis telling the
story of getting turned away at Arrowhead showed up thinking
he was going to go to her dressing room, and
we all laughed about it, were like, okay, Travis, like
he had no shot and that a really cool part
of their story.

Speaker 2 (29:43):
He had his little friendship bracelet he was going to
give to us.

Speaker 6 (29:46):
Yeah, never in a million years she turned them away.
Never in a million years go away. Yeah, it's just crazy.

Speaker 21 (29:52):
So I had my family group chat text me, my
college friends text me, my husband group text me. My
coworker texts me that Taylor was engaged, almost like one
of my best friends or a family member had a
lobe dirt got engaged.

Speaker 5 (30:11):
Insane.

Speaker 4 (30:13):
God, what is the wedding going to be like?

Speaker 3 (30:15):
If people are disconnected and emotional about the engagement, the proposal.

Speaker 1 (30:20):
I feel like they got engaged in Missouri.

Speaker 14 (30:22):
Like I feel like it's just going to be, you know,
whether they get married, you know, in Kansas City or Nashville.
I don't think it's going to be this you know, extravagant,
like five hundred person wedding.

Speaker 4 (30:33):
Maybe a small affair at the Christmas Tree farm that
she grew up on with a vintage dress.

Speaker 6 (30:40):
Yeah, that's a good question. Is it going to be
you know, his home state, her home state. She does
have a house in Rhode Island.

Speaker 1 (30:46):
Yeah, that's beautiful.

Speaker 2 (30:48):
Yea, that's really it's a beautiful home in Rhode Island.

Speaker 4 (30:50):
That's a gorgeous And will it be televised?

Speaker 1 (30:53):
Oh god, no, this is a legit royal wedding.

Speaker 7 (30:57):
No, no, no, no no.

Speaker 6 (31:01):
I'm still just ticking with the Super Bowl performance though
I am too. That's a possibility. That's a definite post
get married at halftime. There you go.

Speaker 5 (31:11):
My theory is that she's pregnant and the sour dough
she was talking about is really a baby and it's
going to be a shotgun wedding.

Speaker 1 (31:20):
Oh I don't think.

Speaker 6 (31:21):
Well. She kept mentioning sour dough during the New Heights episode,
which is kind of weird. Well that's actually so. I
don't know if you know this, but the mascot for
the forty nine ers where the next super Bowl will
we played in San Francisco is a sour dough.

Speaker 2 (31:36):
I know.

Speaker 1 (31:36):
Actually thought was the weirdest thing that that's the name
of MAT's what.

Speaker 3 (31:39):
Got us thinking maybe she's hinting at the super Bowl
halftime show because she kept mentioning sour dough and it's
the mascot, right, Oh y.

Speaker 6 (31:47):
Yui, Oh man, it's just the beginning of this. Let
me tell you how about that ring?

Speaker 11 (31:51):
Anyone think that the engagement ring looks a little bit
like a super Bowl ring?

Speaker 3 (31:56):
Just a little bit?

Speaker 1 (31:57):
No, no, no, no no, it looks like Yeah, super
Bowl rings are like gaudy and thick.

Speaker 6 (32:09):
Think of Brady, you know that picture of him rings
and they're giant.

Speaker 17 (32:13):
I'm so happy for Travis and Taylor and I love
her ring, but I am really sick of people criticizing
her ring. Girl, we don't need your opinion. Her ring
isn't in your tax bracket. You're never going to have
one that looks anything close to her.

Speaker 1 (32:28):
Very true, very true. I said the ring, I just said,
she clearly her nails are not That's all I said.

Speaker 2 (32:35):
I say, I thought her nails were painted like a
pale pink.

Speaker 6 (32:38):
I think it's clear. They were clear.

Speaker 1 (32:40):
I zoomed in. It was flesh color.

Speaker 6 (32:42):
What you meant was you like colorful names, not even
just that.

Speaker 1 (32:46):
You can know that they're done. That's just all.

Speaker 14 (32:48):
It could have been white, could have been pale pink,
but it was just looking flesh colored, justin.

Speaker 3 (32:52):
I think the very first talkbacker you played tells the
real story, tells the whole story. People's reactions to this
emotion that talkbacker was blew my mind.

Speaker 6 (33:02):
Oh you talking about the woman crying? Yeah, literally crying nobody,
like literally because we played love story, you know, in
honor of the engagement a few minutes ago.

Speaker 9 (33:10):
Why am I crying listening a love story?

Speaker 19 (33:13):
And the fact that like someone just finally said this
to her, this is what she's in writing abound. She
was fifteen, sixteen years old, Yeah, and like finally, like
someone just says this like to.

Speaker 1 (33:23):
Her, Like I'm literally emotional and.

Speaker 19 (33:26):
I don't even know this person's but like we're so
emotionally invested, like I'm so happy for her.

Speaker 5 (33:33):
Like, well, that's because it symbolizes hope, and it symbolizes
that love does really exist.

Speaker 4 (33:39):
Yeah, well you were gushing on Instagrams.

Speaker 2 (33:43):
Because I was so happy. I'm so happy for them.

Speaker 13 (33:46):
Yeah, legitimately, And when you made a good point, I
think the fact that the Kelsey brothers were as big
as they were leading up to the engagement between Travis
and Taylor, I think that played a big partner in
it as well.

Speaker 1 (33:59):
Also, I'm not I'm ammittally not as swifty.

Speaker 14 (34:01):
I don't mind her, like I like some of her music,
but I'm not like you know, over and above, and
I feel like growing up though, Like I remember when
I was in middle school, Like she's dropped her first
few songs, and like literally like my whole existence has
been Taylor Swift some way, singing about love that you
can relate to, whether it's heartbreak or whatever. So now
she's in her mid thirties and she finally gets what

(34:21):
she's been writing about.

Speaker 1 (34:22):
And what we all want, most of us want.

Speaker 5 (34:24):
Like that to me is because every every story about
her was the bad break up, Yeah, the bad boyfriend,
how it didn't work out.

Speaker 4 (34:32):
You know what I love.

Speaker 3 (34:33):
From the beginning, I thought it was a hoxt a hoax,
And now I'm like so emotionally.

Speaker 2 (34:39):
Accepted, like this is his eyes are misty.

Speaker 4 (34:44):
Yeah, like I'm really excited and I thought it was a.

Speaker 6 (34:47):
Hoax, Like how did this happen? Still get emotional, let
me go off.

Speaker 1 (34:52):
Oh I can't stand this him.

Speaker 6 (34:55):
In the morning. Yeah, I'm talking about this, but yeah,
congratulations Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey soon to be married.

Speaker 1 (35:02):
Why are married women heavier than single women?

Speaker 2 (35:05):
Well, single women come home and see what's in the
fridge and then go to bed.

Speaker 1 (35:09):
Married women come home, see what's in bed, and go
to the fridge.
