Speaker 1 (00:00):
Now this morning show in Boston, Billy and Lisa in
the morning. It's just a great start to my day
on Kiss one.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
Await, okay, good morning everybody, and I'm happy Wednesday today,
Lisa is December tenth. It is, and just a few
days from jingle Ball Sunday night. The TD Garden completely
sold out. And by the way, seven ten and day
ten this morning, two more shots. There is a new
(00:28):
England wide panic right now.
Speaker 1 (00:31):
So you're saying there's a chance, there's.
Speaker 2 (00:33):
A chance at seven ten and a ten And by
the way, if you get the tickets at seven ten
at eight ten this morning, you will qualify for the
grand prize. We're going to be announcing that soon right.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
Yeah, by the end of the week. But I should
mention that you have to enter on the Kiss Instagram.
It's the ticket tag, So you have to go to
the Kiss Instagram pinpost, follow the directions and then listen
at seven ten, eight ten billion, Lisa will call it
a name and you'll have fifteen minutes to call us
back and claim your prize.
Speaker 2 (00:59):
Yeah, there's a nationwide panic for jingle Ball ticket. A
lot of people don't realize we do jingle Ball all
over the country, you know, New York, Chicago, La.
Speaker 3 (01:08):
Yeah, I think Detroit was last night, Yeah, Chicago, Monday night,
New York, Friday night, Sunday yep.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
And a lot of people don't realize we started jingle
ball here in Boston.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
Yes, he did well.
Speaker 4 (01:21):
Absolutely, I think we just we just own it.
Speaker 3 (01:24):
We own it.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
Originally it was just a concert on Lansdown Street in Boston,
and then it morphed into jingle ball all over the country, multiple.
Speaker 3 (01:34):
Act But you're saying that we invented the stage that rotates.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
Well, that's what I always thought too, But I'm talking
about jingle Ball in general.
Speaker 3 (01:41):
The first one was in Boston.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
Yeah, the concept crazy for several years, just Boston.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
It was a Kiss event.
Speaker 2 (01:48):
This is before I are So. It was the Winter
Kiss Concert and it was Jewel, right, Jewel was the
first one.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
Jewel.
Speaker 5 (01:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
She got angry, yelling at the fans at.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
The heart Ruel did. Yeah, she says the nicest.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
Because it was just Jewel and her acoustical guitar and
everybody was talking and mingling. She was stiple times telling
people a shout out.
Speaker 3 (02:08):
It's a little slow, it's a little bit slow.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
She's a cool lady.
Speaker 3 (02:15):
I always had a little crush on her.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
Cute. Yeah, she had the truth.
Speaker 3 (02:20):
You know she did. So.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
I'm told somebody told me about a week ago because
I mentioned snaggle tooth. But I guess she's got a
normal tooth now.
Speaker 3 (02:28):
You know she was homeless.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
I know she slept in the car Alaska.
Speaker 3 (02:33):
Yeah, a little jewel talk here on the billion and history.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
She's a part of history.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
Not jingle balls to you, Okay, right back at you now.
Speaker 4 (02:44):
And then Katy Perry was at our jingle ball dressed
as a human candy cane.
Speaker 2 (02:48):
Yes she was, she said, and happy jingle balls to you.
Speaker 1 (02:52):
Happy jingle balls to you.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
Yeah, that was a special moment. It was yeah, Missus Klaus.
She called herself.
Speaker 4 (02:59):
Well, she changed her she was a candy cane on stage,
and then she came out as Missus Klaus.
Speaker 3 (03:05):
Yeah, oh yeah, I remember that. I wasn't there, but
there was. Her and Billy were flirting.
Speaker 1 (03:11):
Yes, I am sitting.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
Here with Katie Perry, and she is Missus Claus.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
Missus Klaus.
Speaker 6 (03:19):
Actually, I've taken my whole romper thing and turned it
into a Missus Claws effect.
Speaker 1 (03:25):
It's the holidays and I love a great holiday.
Speaker 4 (03:28):
I have an excuse to jess up like an idiot,
and may I say.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
You are the hottest missus claws. Happy jingle balls to you.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
She was in a that doesn't say showtime.
Speaker 3 (03:46):
If nothing else, Bill, you're memorable.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:49):
Well, here's the thing about jingle Ball, just so many
weird things. You never know what's going to happen on
stage or backstage at a jingle Ball, and we should
mention to everybody they don't realize. And we do an
entire live radio show from backstage at jingle Ball.
Speaker 3 (04:05):
Yeah, all the interviews that Billy does backstage. Lisa joins
him too. We air on Kiss seven pm to ten
pm Sunday night. So if you're not going to jingle Ball,
you'll get a behind the scenes look, more of a
look than the people in the audience.
Speaker 1 (04:17):
It's true. We share backstage moments.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
Yeah, you'll get all the stuff even the ticket holders
don't get right right right.
Speaker 3 (04:23):
So you can listen seven and ten Sunday night, or
follow Kiss socials because we'll post videos and pictures on that.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
Hey, I want to shout out to Native High School.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
How about this?
Speaker 2 (04:32):
Both the boys and girls soccer teams won the state championship.
That's huge. This is the girl's third title in five years.
By the way, these girls are on fire.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
What a tremendous accompent. It's really really, really cool.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
And we've got all this FIFA news now with the
draws and everything else we have.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
Yeah, we talk about a Gillette.
Speaker 4 (04:52):
Yeah, yeah, there's another opportunity tomorrow actually sorry tomorrow, and.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
We'll get to that this morning. I want to shout
out the college. They did their annual toy drive yesterday.
They had eight truckloads full of toys that were donated
and now we'll go to needy children. Donny Wahlberg was there.
Speaker 3 (05:09):
He was there.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
I saw him that up. So that's big.
Speaker 7 (05:14):
From the Planet Fitness Kiss one of eight studios, we're
back with Villy and Lisa in the morning.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
Hey guys, so welcome back in a happy Wednesday to you.
We've got our jingle Ball are sold out. Jingle Ball
coming up this Sunday night and again we'll have shot
at tickets at seven ten and eight ten. But they
just came out with this list of touring artists and
the biggest I guess in the millennium.
Speaker 4 (05:38):
Right, So it's the it's from two thousand and one
to the end of twenty twenty five.
Speaker 2 (05:43):
And Ed Sheeran's on the list and he's our headline.
Speaker 1 (05:45):
He's absolutely on the list.
Speaker 4 (05:47):
Yeah, So that got us talking about the list and
how they put it together and what the criteria was.
Speaker 2 (05:52):
I think it's a strange list for some reason.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (05:55):
Well, it's it's weird because we just came off of
the Taylor Swift Eras tour and that was the top
grossing tour of all time.
Speaker 1 (06:02):
Yes, okay, of all time, three billion, right wow.
Speaker 4 (06:06):
But this list is based on ticket sales, so the
metric is slightly different. And just to note, Taylor did
not come out with her first album until two thousand
and six, so there's five years ahead.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
You know, some of these groups have five years.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
On her, So she's number five on She's.
Speaker 1 (06:24):
On the list, number five exactly.
Speaker 3 (06:26):
Yeah, this is two thousand and one to present day.
Speaker 2 (06:30):
It just strikes me as odd as like even the
Dave Matthews Band is at number four ahead of Taylor Swift, right.
Speaker 4 (06:36):
Well, that's just because they got a jump on her,
and I mean Dave Matthews for years, I mean those
tours were just Oh the.
Speaker 3 (06:44):
Fans a rabbit for days.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
I saw Dave Matthews at least ten times.
Speaker 3 (06:47):
Oh you were a Dave Matthews every time.
Speaker 2 (06:49):
Dave Matthews got yeah, it was drummer's the best drummer
in the world.
Speaker 3 (06:52):
Really. Yeah. Yeah. I have a couple of cousins. They
go to every single show, and it's funny because people
either love or hate Dave Matthews band, you know. Yeah, yeah,
I have another friend who hates Dave Matthews. Oh hates him? Wow, yeah,
does not like him.
Speaker 2 (07:06):
So Dave Matthews performed live in our studio.
Speaker 3 (07:12):
Was it good?
Speaker 2 (07:12):
Some years ago? Were you there for that line? I
wasn't You performed in the kitchen of our older building
across the street. Yeah, just sat there, Dave Matthews in
his guitar, small room. Maybe thirty forty people sitting audience
members got the chance to win their way in.
Speaker 3 (07:27):
Is that when you had a man bun, when you
were into Dave Matthews?
Speaker 2 (07:30):
Okay, first of all, I never had a man bun,
but math Funds freaked me out. I've never been friends
with somebody with a man crash.
Speaker 3 (07:36):
Into me, buddy.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
Oh yeah, anyway, he's number four in the listlis he is,
and then Taylor rowns out the list of the top five,
and then Bruce Springsteen is number six. Oh he just
missed the top five. But my deal is ed. Shearon
is coming to jingle Ball and he's one of the
biggest selling touring.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
Artists of all time. He's number three, he's number three. Yeah, yeah,
what do you think number.
Speaker 3 (08:02):
One is or two?
Speaker 1 (08:05):
Well, I can tell you too, You too is. Number
two is number two, and then number one.
Speaker 4 (08:11):
Roll please, it is cold Play.
Speaker 3 (08:15):
It's not surprising they do a lot of touring.
Speaker 1 (08:18):
They do.
Speaker 3 (08:18):
Yeah, they sold twenty four million tickets since two thousand
and one, rose over almost three billions. They're right under Taylor.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
I can't believe I've never been to a cold Play show.
Speaker 4 (08:28):
I'm so glad that I went to it this summer
at Gillette.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
Oh that show.
Speaker 1 (08:32):
Yeah, that is amazing Coldplay fans.
Speaker 2 (08:35):
Everyone was talking about that. Two people out there that
will never forget that show.
Speaker 4 (08:39):
Yeah, I know I was there the night before that
all went down, But yeah, that was that was a
moment in time.
Speaker 2 (08:46):
Yeah, you don't want to be busted on the jumbo trunk.
Speaker 3 (08:48):
No interesting though, Taylor Swift has the average the highest
average ticket price out of all these top twenty five artists,
one hundred and sixty five dollars average ticket price. Yeah,
but you know, the resale price was like three thousand
dollars on her show. Yeah, because that's the thing we
can't you can't get the average retail price anymore of shows. Yeah,
(09:09):
it's all resale. You know, Taylor didn't set the price
of her tickets. It just goes crazy after the released
and that's the big, you know, issue with ticket Master
and why everybody's mad, including Olivia Dean who's dealing with
that right now.
Speaker 1 (09:20):
Yes, for her tour, also coming in for jingle Ball.
Speaker 3 (09:24):
Yeah. So some other ones to note to note here.
Kenny Chesney number seven.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
Yeah, I'm not surprised because he does the Giant Country
Festival every year. He does it at Foxborough je Let Stadium. Oh,
Kenny Chesney and other countries.
Speaker 4 (09:39):
Yes.
Speaker 3 (09:40):
Have you ever been to a country show there at Jellette?
I haven't.
Speaker 1 (09:43):
I want to go.
Speaker 3 (09:44):
I want to go. I'm not a huge country fan,
but it just seems like the happiest place to be,
so much fun, doesn't it.
Speaker 1 (09:51):
Yeah, Hey, get all dressed up in your cowboy boots.
Oh yeah, it's just so cute.
Speaker 3 (09:56):
Metallica number eight. I'd go to a Metallica show.
Speaker 1 (10:00):
I saw them at Boston. Calling you saw Metallica? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (10:02):
Were they good?
Speaker 1 (10:03):
Amazing? Yeah, very loud.
Speaker 2 (10:05):
Aren't they currently touring?
Speaker 8 (10:07):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (10:08):
Yeah, I feel like they're always tolling.
Speaker 9 (10:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (10:10):
They were actually I think front runners to do the
Super Bowl this year. A lot of people wanted them
to do it because it was it's in San Francisco. Yeah,
that'd be good.
Speaker 2 (10:18):
Well, I was it a few you probably in the
late nineties, so yeah, he probably was there. Yeah, but
typically i'd be backstage, so I would have seen it.
Speaker 10 (10:26):
So.
Speaker 3 (10:27):
Also on the list, Pink.
Speaker 1 (10:30):
Furs are huge.
Speaker 3 (10:31):
Yeah, twelve million tickets sold. She's grossed over almost one
point five million dollars. No, is that billion? Yeah? One
point five billion?
Speaker 2 (10:42):
Oh yeah, million she makes in five minutes.
Speaker 3 (10:45):
Yeah. Beyonce's on the list, Madonna, Guns N' Roses, Eagles,
Roger Waters, Paul McCartney in last at number twenty five.
Lease depeche Mode.
Speaker 4 (10:57):
Oh really yeah, like that was like a big college
band over the cure. Depeche Mode back in the day.
There are only four women in the top twenty five.
Speaker 3 (11:10):
Yeah, it would be Madonna, Pink, Beyonce, Taylor, Taylor, and Pink. Yeah,
us are male.
Speaker 1 (11:17):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (11:18):
Number fourteen is Andre Rio. Are you familiar with him?
Speaker 1 (11:22):
No?
Speaker 2 (11:23):
No, Whenever it's a name, I totally don't recognize.
Speaker 1 (11:26):
I look at.
Speaker 2 (11:26):
Producer Riley and she probably does, but no, she doesn't.
Speaker 3 (11:29):
She doesn't know that one. Billy Joel number twenty four.
That's surprising. I would have thought Billy Joel would have
been higher up on the list.
Speaker 4 (11:36):
He doesn't tour that often, but when he did, he
was touring a lot, like you're saying, so I am surprised.
Speaker 3 (11:42):
Yeah, people love Billy Joel. He's great. I didn't watch
his documentary, you did, Bill?
Speaker 2 (11:47):
Oh? Absolutely? Do you ever see his Broadway show? Yeah,
Moving Out.
Speaker 1 (11:51):
I saw when he toured with Elton John at Gillette. Well,
I saw them together two ones. That was a great sectually.
Billy Grease, Oh really yeah? Yeah, banging Yeah, the dueling pianos. Yes.
Speaker 3 (12:02):
I feel like I'm not a huge Jill Billy Joel fan,
but I would go to a show like a lot
of these. I would go even though I'm not a
giant fan of them because it's a good live experience. Yeah, yeah,
you know, so that's something to talk about Ed Sharon
this weekend about Hey, Bruce not on the list, Yes, okay, yeah,
number five, yep, no, he's number six.
Speaker 1 (12:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (12:19):
Yeah, but we'll talk to Ed about this at jingle
Ball backstage, be like, dude, you came in at number three.
What happened?
Speaker 2 (12:26):
Yeah, but he beat out Taylor, his friend.
Speaker 3 (12:28):
He did beat out.
Speaker 4 (12:28):
Taylor from the Planet Fitness Kids one of eight studios.
Speaker 1 (12:32):
We're back with Villy and Lisa in the morning. Yeah,
we're back.
Speaker 2 (12:36):
And it's a Wednesday, middle of the week. Warmer today
than it was the last few days, Lisa.
Speaker 4 (12:41):
Oh, total warm. I'm near fifty degrees. But it's more
rainy tonight, so little rain this afternoon, and yeah.
Speaker 1 (12:47):
Than commute will be affected.
Speaker 2 (12:48):
Like when I left the house, I got in the car,
it was twenty degrees warmer than it was at that
time yesterday.
Speaker 4 (12:54):
Yeah, it wasn't that biting cold we've been having recently.
Speaker 2 (12:57):
Yeah, and so much going on. By the way, for
the record, I happen to be wearing underwear today.
Speaker 1 (13:04):
I just thought i'd throw that out there.
Speaker 3 (13:07):
Thank you.
Speaker 9 (13:07):
For that.
Speaker 3 (13:08):
I really wanted to know that as opposed to what
every other day when you.
Speaker 2 (13:13):
Don't so random, you know, like I don't know why
one day, why not another day?
Speaker 3 (13:17):
You know?
Speaker 1 (13:18):
But anyway, yep, we got them on.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
Today, so can you jingle Ball is jingle Ball is
this coming Sunday Night? I can't believe it. This show
is going to be so incredible, so massive, and yes,
we've got your next shot at tickets and the VIP package.
I'm going to call a name in a couple of
seconds in this person. You know the rules by now,
you know how it works. You have fifteen minutes to
(13:41):
get back to us. If you do, you get tickets
for Sunday Night, but you qualify for the Massive Package least.
Speaker 4 (13:46):
And the Massive Package is the ultimate VIP experience, front
row seats, a backstage artist experience. You get to stay
in a hotel and then we're going to let you
come to one of our fun jingle Ball parties.
Speaker 2 (13:59):
It's going to be ridicul at Sharon a little Bit, Olivia,
Dean Wow, Raven Line, Zara Lawson, yeap oh yeah, big
sup Trumpall here comes the name at Joey Lombardo Joey.
Speaker 1 (14:12):
Hey, Joey Lombardo.
Speaker 3 (14:15):
You know, Joey, tell him to call it.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
You got fifteen minutes, okay, kid, fifteen minutes and that's it.
Let's go, Relly E Liza.
Speaker 4 (14:24):
Now the entertainment update with a Billy godsap on kiss Way.
Speaker 2 (14:29):
Yeah, it's Sharon got to be the headliner at the
Jingle Ball this weekend. We talked recently about his deluxe
album and the one song on the album called Regrets,
where he talks about spending too much time on the road,
too much time working, not enough time with the family,
and now he talks about it right here.
Speaker 11 (14:46):
I'll go to the studio every single day, and I
used to go for twelve hours a day, and now
I'll go for like four and just try and be creative.
And I don't mind leaving a song I'm finished.
Speaker 1 (14:56):
Now, whereas before I'd have to finish it in the
same day.
Speaker 11 (14:59):
It's like the ideas and it's a bit more free.
Speaker 9 (15:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (15:02):
Yeah, I actually stole it from eminem.
Speaker 11 (15:04):
He he's in the studio and it gets to five
and you'll be mid song and he'll be like, right cool,
see to just leave.
Speaker 3 (15:11):
I love the regiments. Yeah, I had heard Eminem talk
about that before he ran that issue too. He was
spending so much time in the studio, especially overnights, and
then sleeping all day. Yeah. He sets a schedule so
he's only in the studio for you know, a few hours,
and once he's done, like Ed said, he's done.
Speaker 2 (15:27):
Yeah, So he mentioned Eminem, and so did Kate Winslet,
of all people on the Graham Norton Show. Winslet said
that Eminem backstage on Saturday Night Live in two thousand
and four, mind you, made a very strange request of
Kate Winslet and.
Speaker 12 (15:45):
Then asked me to shave his bottom like a pooh
bum thing for me when I come on this He.
Speaker 1 (15:54):
A handheld raisers. Well he did. He said, would you
shave my back? And I said, I'm sorry, I don't.
I don't do personal groom. That strange. That's a cool story.
Huh Hey, Kate, would you mind thanks shaving my bottom?
Speaker 2 (16:08):
Lave is coming in for jingle Ball this Sunday night.
She's a two time Grammy nominee. She won Traditional Pop
Vocal in twenty twenty four. She's nominated again this year's
same category.
Speaker 1 (16:20):
This year is crazy.
Speaker 7 (16:21):
We have Barbara Streisan and Brandy Carlisle, Elton John and.
Speaker 1 (16:27):
Lady Kaga.
Speaker 7 (16:28):
So I'm like honored to even get to be in
the category. So we will see, but I'll be so
happy for anybody that wins. Also, I have a song
on the Barbara striyce on one, so I'm like, okay,
double chances.
Speaker 1 (16:40):
God.
Speaker 4 (16:41):
Leave seems like a cool lady, very cool from Iceland,
by the way, yep, oh that's right.
Speaker 2 (16:46):
You've got a connection with Leave Max stage at jingle
Ball Sunday. Iceland, beautiful country, pretty pretty, pretty good.
Speaker 13 (16:53):
Billy really say that he's actually wearing underwear, right, So
what the other days has been? Just there Tomando while
you talk to us.
Speaker 1 (17:09):
Yeah, very much. He doesn't wear underwear usually.
Speaker 2 (17:12):
Yeah, I don't mind telling you. Yeah, very often, Commando.
Speaker 3 (17:14):
Yeah, he's told us.
Speaker 2 (17:16):
Right now on a kiss top thirty countdown. I want
to be very clear, I am not wearing underwear. Here's
flow Rider in a number six, come on, alright, kidding
justin a lot of people speaking of jingle Ball don't
realize that we do a live broadcast from backstage at
(17:36):
jingle Ball. Yes, so even if you don't manage to
get sold out, tickets will take you there.
Speaker 3 (17:42):
Yeah, seven pm to ten pm Sunday night. We're going
to be doing all the artists interviews backstage and then
you'll hear them on Kiss One to Wait. It will
be doing a countdown so you can listen on your
radio on the iHeartRadio app and also make sure you
follow Kiss Want to Wait on Instagram and all socials
will be posting videos of the interviews as well.
Speaker 2 (18:01):
And pretty cool on Fallon last night, Lily Collins, who
is Emily in Paris was on the show, and so
was Victoria Beckham. Posh Miice is Lily Collins's favorite artist.
Speaker 1 (18:13):
Of all time.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
Posh surprised her on the set and revealed how she
got the name. Parshallys.
Speaker 9 (18:20):
I was given that nickname because I used to like
nice clothes and nice restaurants. In actual fact, it really
helped me out because in the Spice Girls, the other
girls didn't like design the clothes, so when we would
do videos or go on stage, they were happy to
just wear all the free stuff.
Speaker 1 (18:37):
And I got all the budget.
Speaker 3 (18:38):
Oh my god, that was Mark's much, you think, Gus,
I love this.
Speaker 1 (18:47):
Yeah, they were totally budget yeah, which was surprising.
Speaker 4 (18:49):
So Victoria has a documentary out right now on Netflix
that I watched, so that story was a part of it.
But also Lily Colin's still her haircut, you know, it's
like that sort of short bob. So they were talking
about that too with Fallon. I love the fangirl moment
with Victoria.
Speaker 1 (19:02):
That was cool.
Speaker 3 (19:03):
She was on the show too, Yeah, really cool.
Speaker 1 (19:05):
They were sitting next to each other on the couch.
Speaker 2 (19:07):
And and for the record, I stole that story from
Lisa Donovan.
Speaker 4 (19:10):
So well, you can see Emily in Paris December eighteenth
that starts streaming on Netflix.
Speaker 3 (19:15):
Bill is just full of information today. I'm also wearing underwear,
thank you.
Speaker 1 (19:19):
Okay, that's my.
Speaker 2 (19:25):
Olivia Rodrigo getting into the holiday spirits. She covered I'll
be Home for Christmas. It sounds like a cappella singers
in the background.
Speaker 3 (19:40):
Yeah, she had Jacob Collier was doing the harmonizing in
the background.
Speaker 2 (19:45):
And she posted it on Instagram and Cheryl Crow commented
she called it mind blowing. Mind speaking of a cappella.
I gave you a name yesterday of an a cappella group.
Speaker 3 (19:56):
Yeah, I reached out.
Speaker 2 (19:57):
We going to try to get them in studio holiday week.
Speaker 3 (20:00):
Yep, yep. I haven't not heard back yet.
Speaker 1 (20:02):
Oh good good.
Speaker 3 (20:03):
Yeah. They're from the Northeast and I believe pitch ye perfect.
If anyone knows pitch perfect, please pitch please pitch sorry
yeah please, yes, please reach out.
Speaker 2 (20:11):
We want to get them in here in studio before Chris.
They're in the top ten in the world. I met them,
very nice people. Taylor Swift don't forget the special guest
on Colbert Tonight. And then there's Mi Laicuni's Ashton Kutcher's wife.
She happens to be the president of her neighborhood homeowners
association and says she's not getting the respect or the
thank you she would have expected.
Speaker 5 (20:31):
As ahead of the homeowners association. I want to thank
all other homeowners members of the homeowners association and the president's.
Speaker 3 (20:39):
Follow their hard work.
Speaker 5 (20:40):
Because no one ever says thank you.
Speaker 1 (20:41):
All wee will do is complain.
Speaker 5 (20:43):
All I get is complains all day long. No one
ever goes, you know what, thank you so much for anything.
Speaker 1 (20:48):
Ever, sometimes I text my friend this association you're hot.
Speaker 5 (20:56):
Because recently I had to text my friend who lives
in the neighborhood and I was like, you need to
reply to my email to be like, thank you so
much so that I can encourage other people to acknowledge
my email. No one acknowledges emails. By the way, thank you.
Speaker 1 (21:10):
She's right though, it's a thankless job.
Speaker 2 (21:13):
Yeah, I mentioned the underwear thing. You know me lacun
is famous for not washing.
Speaker 1 (21:18):
I just saw that throw. Do you have that clip justice?
Speaker 3 (21:20):
Yeah, we've covered this.
Speaker 1 (21:22):
I don't watch my body with soap every day.
Speaker 3 (21:24):
No, but she watches the important parts least.
Speaker 1 (21:27):
I watched my slits in my Okay, oh this doesn't
say happy holidays.
Speaker 3 (21:36):
How do we get paid.
Speaker 1 (21:37):
To do this? Do it for a living? I watched
my By the way.
Speaker 2 (21:46):
Miley Cyrus got a Golden Globe nomination earlier this week
for her Dream as One song?
Speaker 1 (21:52):
Is that what's called dream as One?
Speaker 3 (21:53):
The Avatar movie.
Speaker 2 (21:54):
She's had an enormous year ever since she announced she
would never tour again. She's never made more money or
been more successful. I love Miley Cyrus and she's engaged.
Speaker 1 (22:04):
Yes she is.
Speaker 2 (22:06):
Bruins beat the Blues five too?
Speaker 10 (22:08):
Is it me?
Speaker 2 (22:08):
Or They've never played better hockey since McAvoy took the.
Speaker 1 (22:11):
Puck in the face.
Speaker 2 (22:13):
It changed everything. Seltzer in Milwaukee with the Bucks tomorrow.
And how about this one quarterback Philip Rivers, forty four
years old, a grandfather named to the Colts practice team.
Pat McAfee had the announcement yesterday.
Speaker 3 (22:31):
Philip Rivers will be signing with the Indianapolis Colts.
Speaker 1 (22:35):
Had to be.
Speaker 8 (22:36):
Leading the Colts into the playoffs to a Super Bowl.
Speaker 10 (22:41):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (22:41):
Because the starting quarterback has a torn achilles he's out
for the season, right.
Speaker 3 (22:45):
And the backup has a knee injury. Wow, he's unlikely
to play. He might play, but if not, it's going
to be grandpa.
Speaker 12 (22:52):
Grandpa, tell us what it was like back when.
Speaker 2 (22:54):
Uria And he's not the first grandfather at a quarterback
and NFL team right.
Speaker 3 (22:59):
Now, Brett Fog did it?
Speaker 2 (23:01):
Yeah? Anyway, We're brought to you by the ninety nine restaurants.
Give the perfect gift this year, ninety nine restaurant gift cards.
They are the perfect gift for anybody on your list.
For every twenty five bucks you spend, you'll get a
five dollars bonus card for yourself. You gotta love the
Nines And there you go, Hi.
Speaker 1 (23:19):
It's the Mayor of the South.
Speaker 4 (23:20):
Then, Billy, thanks for letting us know you're wearing underwear today.
Speaker 1 (23:24):
It's very good.
Speaker 10 (23:25):
Oh.
Speaker 4 (23:26):
Also, by the way, I'm wearing women's panties this morning.
Speaker 9 (23:31):
I love Billy and Lisa kiss one way.
Speaker 1 (23:34):
And we're back.
Speaker 2 (23:35):
We want to talk about online shopping because each of us,
myself Lisa justin, we're all going through some sort of
an online nightmare right online shopping.
Speaker 4 (23:44):
Yes, whether you're getting the item, the item came in wrong,
and you're not getting information from the company. We've all
are having this issue right now. It's like crunch time.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
My wife, Michelle and I have been going back and
forth at it for more than a week now because
we ordered and the item. I'm going to mention any stores,
but we ordered a flat screen and a bracket to
hold the flat screen.
Speaker 1 (24:06):
On the wall.
Speaker 2 (24:07):
Okay, And first of all, the TV never came in
until three days after they said it was coming in.
Speaker 1 (24:14):
We had booked someone to install everything. We had to
cancel right so that window closed.
Speaker 2 (24:18):
The bracket never came until I left for work this morning. Someone,
some mystery person delivered the bracket at about two this morning.
Speaker 3 (24:29):
Yeah. I love when this happens.
Speaker 2 (24:31):
It's and I'm always arguing with Michelle. I love her
as if she was my own wife. But we argue constantly,
and I'm like, why don't we just go and buy it,
because because every day boxes are getting shipped out of
the house returns from online shopping.
Speaker 3 (24:45):
Look, look, I think everybody it's easier to do it
online from the comfort of your own home. You just
order it right from your phone.
Speaker 2 (24:52):
But it isn't part of the joy to go shop,
especially during the holidays.
Speaker 3 (24:57):
Lisa, you you're a shopper. Yes, do you still do both?
Speaker 1 (25:00):
Okay, do more of what I'm doing both.
Speaker 4 (25:02):
But I have to say the item that I ordered,
I haven't even gotten a shipping confirmation. I ordered it
four or five days ago. Their website. You have to
email someone and they don't email you back. There's no
phone number. And my thing is it was kind of expensive,
so if it's not going to come in, I'd rather
just cancel it and move on. But then you've got
(25:24):
to wait for them to credit your credit. It's just
it's such a nightmare.
Speaker 1 (25:28):
Oh that's another thing.
Speaker 2 (25:29):
All of a sudden, you're keeping track of what you paid,
what you paid for, what you didn't pay for. If
you're getting the refund if you're getting the credit, I
mean back.
Speaker 1 (25:36):
And forth, back and forth.
Speaker 3 (25:38):
Well, the fact that you never got a confirmation that
it was being packed or anything is just trouble.
Speaker 4 (25:43):
It's still it's still I haven't gotten anything. I got
a confirmation that they got my order and they have
my money.
Speaker 3 (25:51):
They always take the money.
Speaker 1 (25:52):
That's the only thing I've gotten.
Speaker 2 (25:54):
There's always someone on the other end to take the money.
There's just never anyone on the other end to ring
what you bought on time.
Speaker 3 (26:00):
The money did ducks from your bank account, no matter what, right, And.
Speaker 4 (26:03):
I just want to know should I move on and
get something else for this person or should I wait?
And it's going to show up in time for Christmas?
And that's the part that's so frustrating is they will
not tell me.
Speaker 3 (26:13):
Yeah, Well, I mean every day we get we're getting
closer and closer.
Speaker 1 (26:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (26:16):
So you could put a stop payment on it, I believe.
Speaker 2 (26:18):
Yeah, and then order from somewhere else and you're going
to make another online order.
Speaker 3 (26:23):
I mean, can you buy that in stores? Lease?
Speaker 1 (26:26):
No, you can't. That's the problem.
Speaker 3 (26:28):
That's the thing, Billy. Some of these things you can't
even get in the stores. You have to get them online.
Speaker 2 (26:31):
I got to tell you, there's not a day that
goes by, not even just the holiday season, not a
day that goes by that I don't see my wife
Michelle in the kitchen repacking something that came from an
online order because it was the wrong item, it was
the wrong size, it was the wrong color, it just
didn't fit. And repacking and sending it back.
Speaker 3 (26:51):
Yeah, it becomes a full time job keeping track of everything.
So my problem is I ordered something that just says
it was delivered, but it never was and it was
from They didn't take a picture. You know, delivery services
take pictures.
Speaker 1 (27:06):
At which I like.
Speaker 3 (27:06):
This one didn't and it says I looked on the
on the app, it said delivered at this time to
my porch, and it never was there. It's not there
unless the porch pirate got it.
Speaker 2 (27:16):
Well, you know who really loves online shopping, The porch pirates.
Speaker 3 (27:19):
They love it.
Speaker 1 (27:21):
The box is littering the porch every day.
Speaker 3 (27:23):
And I have a ring camera and it didn't pick
up any item being delivered or taken. Yeah, I don't
know what what now? What do I do?
Speaker 1 (27:30):
Wow?
Speaker 2 (27:30):
Well, Lisa, you're basically saying you never got the item.
Speaker 1 (27:33):
Never got the item. By the way, Oh, by the way,
we never got the item. To Erica, Hi, good morning.
Did you get the item?
Speaker 8 (27:46):
Well, so my issue is that, like many of us,
I did a ton of shopping on Black Friday, and
I did a huge bulk order from Amazon that had
a ton of gifts for my two kids and my nephew.
And I found out this morning. I got a notification
that one of the boxes was lost, and so now
(28:08):
I'm getting a refund. But that had the bulk of
the presence and everything was discounted and on sale.
Speaker 1 (28:13):
Yeah, I lost all that.
Speaker 3 (28:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (28:15):
And by the way, the item wasn't lost, it was
taken well probably yes, probably during ship yees.
Speaker 4 (28:23):
Yes, all right, So now's now it's back to square one.
Now she has to start all over again.
Speaker 2 (28:28):
Oh when you'll spend hours trying to get the refund,
trying to get the credit. Nobody wants to talk to you.
It's crazy, Land. Just go to the store and buy it.
Is that so hard? Is that so difficult? I'll tell
you right now, Michelle, right now is going to the
front door. Trust me when I tell you going to
the front door to get the item. Right, She's going
(28:48):
to bring it back into the house right and realize
it's the wrong item, and then it starts.
Speaker 1 (28:56):
All over again.
Speaker 2 (28:58):
Did I mention the guy that was gonna install the item?
We canceled and we'll never see him again. I've been
waiting seven months just to have him come in and
drive a nail it somewhere. So we're never gonna see him.
So now, if and when we ever get the item
the flat screen, it'll just sit on the floor for
like months.
Speaker 3 (29:18):
I can send a friend of mine to mount your Tea.
Speaker 2 (29:20):
Yeah, okay, you don't have a friend that's gonna come.
Speaker 1 (29:24):
To my place in Mount to Tea.
Speaker 3 (29:27):
They did my TV. Don't worry about it. But yeah,
I love that part of the story that the brackets
arrived in the middle of the night in the morning.
It's sometimes it'll say it's out for delivery, it'll never come,
and then days later it just appears. You know the
fun How about this one? I ordered an item in
March of this year, earlier this year, and it got lost.
(29:48):
It appeared in June. It showed up at my house
in June. Months later.
Speaker 2 (29:53):
Well, I'll tell you a real creepy story. Last night
we were watching it walking Titus a good boy. We're
walking Titus on his nightly walk, and we walked by
a delivery van. Okay, that was parked right outside a park,
like in the parking lot sleeping.
Speaker 1 (30:12):
He's got the thing. Oh, he's sleeping in the van
right around the color. Well they're working twenty four seven.
Speaker 3 (30:19):
Oh, this is like busy time for that.
Speaker 1 (30:21):
Yeah, and a lot of these comings. You're in an
outsourced delivery. Yeah, I probably should have knocked on the window.
Speaker 2 (30:27):
And say, hey, you got my item.
Speaker 1 (30:29):
You know where we're using my item as a pillow
in the van.
Speaker 3 (30:33):
Yeah, where's my brackets?
Speaker 4 (30:35):
Now it's topic time with Billy and Lisa in the morning.
Speaker 1 (30:40):
Dah.
Speaker 2 (30:40):
We're talking about the challenges of online shopping. I've had
some issues, Lisa's had some issues, justin you have had
some issues. And I'm still waiting for an object. It
just doesn't I.
Speaker 1 (30:51):
Don't even know, hasn't even ship yet, and there's never
anyone to talk to.
Speaker 4 (30:54):
No, that's the thing that drives me crazy. You're just
waiting for someone to get back to your.
Speaker 2 (31:00):
Yeah, especially if you're looking for your refund. Thanks, all
of a sudden, nobody's available. Let's go to the phones
of Franti's checking in from north to andover h frand
you missing an item.
Speaker 12 (31:13):
Yeah, So I ordered a bunch of stuff from Target,
from Alo whatever. Both of the packages say they were delivered,
Well they weren't because I didn't get them. So I'm like,
what is going on? This is peachre two packages came
at different times, they're both not here. So I ordered
stuff also from Lululemon, and I just so happened to
be home when the FedEx driver pulls up. He sat
(31:36):
in his truck and yeaded my package like a football
in the middle of my loss and drove away.
Speaker 1 (31:43):
WHOA.
Speaker 6 (31:44):
I was like, what are you doing?
Speaker 12 (31:46):
I ran out. I ran out to the end of
my driveway and I caught him right before he drove away,
and I was like.
Speaker 6 (31:51):
Dude, what are you doing?
Speaker 12 (31:53):
Like I've lost two packages because clearly you're throwing them
and just leaving them the winds, blowing them whatnot. And
he goes, oh, so where do you want them? On
the front steps? Like where do you want them? And yeah,
where else would I want them?
Speaker 4 (32:06):
Yeah, that's like the basic, like the bare minimum, just
on the step.
Speaker 2 (32:10):
And the package was late as well, right, Yeah, I
was so I.
Speaker 12 (32:16):
Was so frustrated. I'm like, my packages are being lost
because he's eating them across my lawn.
Speaker 3 (32:22):
I always wondered that when it says fragile, do we
think that the drivers really pay extra special attention.
Speaker 1 (32:28):
Absolutely not. I would hope something. You're right, they could
do just toss.
Speaker 2 (32:32):
What if he tossed it on the lawn and bounced
behind a bush and nobody ever found it.
Speaker 1 (32:36):
I'm sure that's what happened. The landscaper will find it
in the spring and say, hey, was this yours.
Speaker 3 (32:43):
I'm going to say I have not witnessed that. We
get a lot of deliveries at the house and they're
always great.
Speaker 1 (32:47):
Yeah, they always they place them. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (32:50):
You know what else is weird that's going on with
online shopping though? You keep getting texts from different people.
I've got five different drivers claiming to have my package
like and and none of them ever shows up. And
they've given, you know, detailed instructions on when they're coming,
and the fact that they've got the item.
Speaker 1 (33:06):
I just picked it up at such and such a place.
Speaker 2 (33:08):
I'm on my way on your way to wear because
you never came to me.
Speaker 3 (33:13):
And you gotta be careful with those texts too, because
some of those scams. Yes, we'll never click the links
in in those techs.
Speaker 2 (33:19):
I got a text from Feliciano the driver at like
one in the morning, and I'm like, I was fully
Siano's delivering now.
Speaker 3 (33:27):
Oh Jose, is that you brought the brackets?
Speaker 1 (33:30):
It could have been It.
Speaker 3 (33:31):
Was definitely him.
Speaker 2 (33:32):
Is that what he's doing now?
Speaker 3 (33:33):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (33:34):
At least be so on Amazon.
Speaker 6 (33:37):
I am so lazy that I haven't deleted my other
like debit cards I have linked to my account. So
I have a couple link to my account, and I
ordered a bunch of things with this credit card that
or debit card that was expired that I forgot. So
when I went to go look at my Amazon order
a couple of days ago, then see that it wasn't
it was canceled, and I was like, what is going on?
Speaker 1 (33:57):
And I ordered it with the wrong card.
Speaker 6 (33:59):
So some of the stuff now it's not going to
be here till January.
Speaker 2 (34:04):
You know one part that's really good though, and I
get to give them the shout out. The FedEx stores
that you go to to return something, they couldn't possibly
make it any easier. There's one right over here at
Station Landing. So Michelle will give me the package that's
getting sent back so that I can bring it to
Station Landing. But when you bring it in, they're very friendly,
(34:24):
very fast. They take your package. They will repack it
and label it and off and.
Speaker 1 (34:29):
Goes yeah the system works great.
Speaker 2 (34:30):
Yeah, I mean, good luck getting your refund. But at
least the package is going.
Speaker 1 (34:34):
Back to where return the item? Yes, and there's a
record of it. They give you a receipt.
Speaker 3 (34:39):
Exactly how many items does your wife return?
Speaker 1 (34:42):
Uncountable?
Speaker 2 (34:43):
Like I'm telling you, she spends half of a day
repacking stuff or saying, oh this is going back wrong size,
wrong color.
Speaker 3 (34:49):
She also send food back at restaurants never, okay, never, Yeah,
you don't want to do that?
Speaker 1 (34:54):
Yeah, no, never.
Speaker 14 (34:55):
So I don't really have a bad story with shopping.
It was just kind of frustrated, in anxiety ridden. I
was able to buy the Vans K Pop Demon Hunters
for my daughter for Christmas, but I was on the
website for an hour, the website crashed, I was on
the app, and then finally I was able to get them.
(35:17):
So it gave me a lot of anxiety and hopefully
they'll be here by Christmas.
Speaker 4 (35:23):
See, that's the thing. She ordered them and she got them.
But are they coming coming for Christmas?
Speaker 3 (35:29):
Yeah? Are you going to get the item.
Speaker 1 (35:30):
Or or is this a January delivery?
Speaker 3 (35:33):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (35:33):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (35:33):
Yeah? Don't are just put like an iou and the
and the gift and the color.
Speaker 1 (35:40):
That they're coming.
Speaker 3 (35:40):
It'll be here in January.
Speaker 1 (35:42):
Hi.
Speaker 15 (35:42):
This is seldom from Ducksburry about the online shopping. I
think the main culprit for me is when I like
something on Instagram and go to buy it off of air,
and especially the link to shop that you cite. The
processes so many payments. Now once you go there, good
luck getting anybody in customer service. Even if you find
an email address, You're just not going to get anybody.
(36:04):
So I think the best thing, and this is what
people advise, is to go on a website, not just
a link from Instagram.
Speaker 3 (36:11):
So I ordered three things from Shop yesterday through Instagram
and Facebook ads Christmas gifts.
Speaker 1 (36:16):
Yeah, I did get to.
Speaker 3 (36:17):
Know the confirmation email. But the thing with social media
marketing now, it's like crazy, especially around the holiday season.
It was so many cool things. I saw three things
that I wanted that were cool for my life, and
it's easy. It's easy.
Speaker 4 (36:30):
The other thing is like red flag is if they
say they're going to ship it to you and the
shippings for free, and they don't give you any other
option to ship or expedited shipping. That's a red flag
because then you have no idea how they're shipping it
and how long.
Speaker 1 (36:46):
It's going to be.
Speaker 3 (36:46):
They're going to choose the shipping that takes the long exactly.
That's a good WoT.
Speaker 4 (36:51):
Yeah, Like I never buy stuff like that now. It's
like I always want the option. If I want to
pay more to have it shipped overnight, I at least
want the option to do so.
Speaker 2 (37:00):
Another pet peeve of mine with the online shopping is
you'll give them the money, they'll gladly take the money,
and they will take your order and confirm the fact
that they got your order, thank you. But then a
week later you'll get the notice it's been back ordered
for like six months.
Speaker 3 (37:16):
Yeah. It's like I'm telling you, it's very stressful.
Speaker 2 (37:19):
Just go in the store and get it. If it's
not on the shelf, it could be out back on
a shelf, or they'll just tell you it's out of stock.
Speaker 9 (37:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (37:27):
Yeah, yesterday a package came. It was my gift for Lisa,
and I'm not gonna say what it was, but you
could tell it was for a female. It was not underwear,
just so, and my wife goes, hey, you want of
your Christmas gifts from me? Came I saw it. I'm
sorry in an accident, and I go, no, that was
for Lisa. The look she gave me.
Speaker 1 (37:48):
Talking about did you get the eye roll? Oh right, okay,
I know I don't want this friend.
Speaker 3 (37:56):
Yeah, how is that your work? Wife? Your little show.
Speaker 10 (38:01):
The worst I've had with online shopping is when they
deliver the item and it's not even in your own neighborhood,
and then you have to rely on a good Samaritan
or a good neighbor who's again not in your neighborhood,
but like two three streets away, and they co and
they deliver it to you. I had this happen with
(38:21):
the package. They randomly threw it around her pool and
yeah that sucked.
Speaker 3 (38:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (38:31):
How many people do you think keep the gift that
wasn't meant for them?
Speaker 3 (38:34):
Oh? Yeah right, Sometimes you can see what it is, yeah,
and they might, but I will say that's what like
neighborhood Facebook groups are good for you know. In my
neighborhood Facebook group, people are always posting, Hey, this package
got delivered to my house. It was for you know,
this person. Wow, that's pretty good.
Speaker 1 (38:49):
It's like a small village. It really is your little
neighborhood up there in North Country.
