He was in Boston Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at different
bars serving the whiskey. So Saturday night he was gonna
be at Lansdown poub after the Red Sox game. We
got there, missed him by five minutes, but then found
out he was going to be at the eighty eight Club,
which is underneath the Kings in the back bay, so
we scowed it over there. And that's a beautiful club,

by the way, the eighty eight Club underneath it's really
really cool. And yeah, he came in and he sang
some songs on the piano. We were right there. He
you know, took pictures with fans. Super super cool dude.

So he did a couple of the songs that he

But at one point, as we first caught up to
Scotty and Rory, I'm you know, we're walking the walkways
just to kind of try to figure out, okay, hey
do we want to do? We want to catch their

approach shot. Do we want to go up to the
green and watch them come up on the green and
then watch them pott or do we want to go
two holes ahead so we can get them in the
tea box. And as I'm walking, a ball lands next
to my foot.

Oh boy, oh, and it was almost interfered with whose.

Oh it was Rory's approach shot on seven. And so
now I'm like, okay, I'm staying here. And sure enough,
you know, State troopers come over. They clear the path
and I'm front row and I'm literally within three feet
of Rory. I mean I could catch them if I
wanted to.

Oh, you should have grabbed the ball and taken off.
That would be the time. It would have made me
so proud. You're being chased by troopers at the Ryder Cup.

And the troopers were in tense because I think they
had been you know, listen their full gear and they're
two hours into this whole thing and it was ninety
degrees and you know they've been dealing with hecklers all weekend.
Because he really was getting lit up.

At one point he turned away from the tee and
walked over to the crowd and said, shot the f up.

No, that was Saturday, So we throw we went into
the city on Saturday, stayed the night, and then we
flew into beth Page on Sunday just to catch the
final day.

Yeah, so they got the heckling under control by Sunday, correct.

Yeah, so they had really kind of stepped up police presence.
They put like triple the amount of troopers on Scotty
on Rory. So it really calmed down, but it was
it was out of control apparently on Friday and Saturday.
And I don't think New York will ever get a
Ryder Cup back ever again.

Now, why do you think they were going after Rory
so much?

I just think he's the face of the team. I
think he's generally the most pokable. You know, he's got
the most notable, the most in the media, and he's
you know, he's had opinions in the past, So I
think he's the first person people point to poke at
or try to go after whenever you're in a competitive scenario.
But outside of that, he's fairly beloved. So like if

he's a loved golfer in the US. It's just when
you put the US up against Europe, it's you get

we scowed it over there. And that's a beautiful club,

really cool. And yeah, he came in and he sang
some songs on the piano. We were right there. He

but we were, you know, following around a few other groupings.
But at one point, as we first caught up to
Scotty and Rory, I'm you know, we're walking the walkways
just to kind of try to figure out, okay, hey
do we want to do? We want to catch their

approach shot. Do we want to go up to the
green and watch them come up on the green and
then watch them pott or do we want to go
two holes ahead so we can get them in the
tea box. And as I'm walking, a ball lands next
to my foot.

Oh boy, oh, and it was almost interfered with whose.

Oh it was Rory's approach shot on seven. And so
now I'm like, okay, I'm staying here. And sure enough,
you know, State troopers come over. They clear the path
and I'm front row and I'm literally within three feet
of Rory. I mean I could catch them if I
wanted to.

Oh, you should have grabbed the ball and taken off.
That would be the time. It would have made me
so proud. You're being chased by troopers at the Ryder Cup.

And the troopers were in tense because I think they
had been you know, listen their full gear and they're
two hours into this whole thing and it was ninety
degrees and you know they've been dealing with hecklers all weekend.
Because he really was getting lit up.

At one point he turned away from the tee and
walked over to the crowd and said, shot the f up.

No, that was Saturday, So we throw we went into
the city on Saturday, stayed the night, and then we
flew into beth Page on Sunday just to catch the
final day.

Yeah, so they got the heckling under control by Sunday, correct.

Yeah, so they had really kind of stepped up police presence.
They put like triple the amount of troopers on Scotty
on Rory. So it really calmed down, but it was
it was out of control apparently on Friday and Saturday.
And I don't think New York will ever get a
Ryder Cup back ever again.

Now, why do you think they were going after Rory
so much?
Speaker 8 (09:00):
I just think he's the face of the team. I
think he's generally the most pokable. You know, he's got
the most notable, the most in the media, and he's
you know, he's had opinions in the past, So I
think he's the first person people point to poke at
or try to go after whenever you're in a competitive scenario.
But outside of that, he's fairly beloved. So like if

this were a US Open or if this were you know,
he's a loved golfer in the US. It's just when
you put the US up against Europe, it's you get
he's the one to poke at.

I'm guilty of that, really. Yeah, my wife, Michelle is
guilty of them. I'm always having to close the cabinet. Yeah,
my wife shuts them for me. It's funny.

My husband doesn't check his pockets before he puts his
pants on the hamper.
Speaker 11 (30:16):
So when you go to do the laundry, you find
use tissues, loose change, lighters, and sometimes some other fund surprises.
Speaker 2 (30:24):
Yep, okay, Riley Donovan teas, golf teas markers.
Speaker 5 (30:30):
They clog up.
Speaker 1 (30:31):
Oh yeah, they can jam up.
Speaker 5 (30:33):
Washer and the dryer. It's they're constant. Yeah, And I
always tell them, I'm like, just empty.
Speaker 1 (30:37):
Yeah, it's annoying. It can really hurt the dryer, it can,
it really can.
Speaker 10 (30:41):
I've just given into this because he's so adamant about it,
but saving the soda cans to a return it.
Speaker 1 (30:47):
But the thing is he does return it, and then
they all pile up them.
Speaker 7 (30:50):
We just have tons of soda cans and it's messy.
Speaker 1 (30:53):
I never understood the soda can thing.
Speaker 7 (30:56):
Well, I mean it adds up, it does.
Speaker 4 (30:58):
It does, And I get it. You can make some
money back but it's just the piles of the cans.
Speaker 1 (31:03):
I got to tell you about the can collectors every
morning pretty much when I'm driving to work here in
the building, at least it Maybe you've seen it justin.
Maybe there's one guy right that has one I tell you,
eight or nine, maybe even ten, giant trash bags. Oh,
I've seen that guy filled with cans and he's always
coming over the bridge, but you can't see him. It's

dark and they're all dark bags and you never even
see the guy because he's hidden behind all the bags.
Every single morning. Yeah, it is actually dangerous. I've actually
almost hit that same guy. Yes, we come the same
way to work. Uh huh crazy, The mighty one is here.
