Speaker 1 (00:00):
Now this morning show in Boston.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Billie and Lisa in the morning.

Speaker 3 (00:04):
It's just a great start to my day on Kiss one.

Speaker 4 (00:06):
Await, okay, welcome in everybody. It is the Big Friday Show.
It's the start of a weekend. Lisa Dunnovan, I'm gonna ask,
but I know what the answer is going to be.
Is it a wash out this weekend?

Speaker 3 (00:20):
I don't think so.

Speaker 5 (00:21):
It's actually gonna You're gonna see sun later and temps
near eighty and then temps near eighty tomorrow to is
gonna be like hot and humid tomorrow.

Speaker 4 (00:28):
All right, It's not like a complete washout. Occasional showers
during the course of the day off and on, but warm. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (00:34):
What about tonight, Oh, like like a baseball games.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
I think you'll be fine.

Speaker 5 (00:39):
Okay, I mean there might be a pop up shower,
but it's not going to be like it was this morning.
I saw like thunder and lightning this morning. Oh when
I was driving in.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
All right, you got a game tonight, brother, You got
isable on the hill. Is on the mountain.

Speaker 6 (00:51):
He's pitching tonight there and go game tomorrow, game Monday.
We're in full baseball season.

Speaker 4 (00:56):
I was talking to Able privately the two of us
the other day was telling me I can throw a fastball.
He said, I throw heat.

Speaker 6 (01:04):
Yeah he really. Now he's doing that thing that the
pitchers do with the eyes when they're getting ready to pitch.
You get stares it down. I practiced last night. The
coach goes, all right, look at you, okay, staring the
kids down?

Speaker 4 (01:15):
Now, I got a note. So you're sitting in the
bleachers or standing behind the backstop, right, yeah? Are you
yelling things out trying to coach your kid from behind
the backstop like angrily? Just you shouting anything?

Speaker 6 (01:31):
No throw the ball?

Speaker 3 (01:33):
Well yeah, no one incident.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:38):
You need to be silent at your kid's games, you know. Yeah. Yeah.
It's so big weekend for Abel. The Kentucky Derby is tomorrow, Lisa.
Have you gotten a giant hat yet?

Speaker 1 (01:51):
I don't have one.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
I need one though. Are you doing a Derby party?

Speaker 5 (01:54):
I have to say, our friends at the Revere Hotel
are having an amazing Kentucky Derby party on the roof
deck tomorrow afternoon and night. You need to check it out.
Their roof deck is gorgeous. We had a book club
up there. We had an event for iHeart up there recently.

Speaker 6 (02:08):
So you saw that.

Speaker 5 (02:09):
Beautiful we got off, We go julips for everyone.

Speaker 4 (02:15):
Do they still say there goes Swifty or was that
the dog race?

Speaker 3 (02:22):
Absolutely no, literally they.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
Still say, and there goes Swifty because the horse, I
don't know, regardless, let it go. Yeah, there's a big
derby soiree in Charlestown at Pier six. There's gonna be
a lot of big floppy hat yeah. Yeah. Oh.

Speaker 6 (02:39):
The swifty thing is from Wonderland Dog Track.

Speaker 4 (02:45):
The fake rabbit would take off. The rabbit was like
porcelain or something. I thow the dogs into thinking it
was alive, and they were chasing it, and then at
the end of the race the finish line, there's nothing.

Speaker 6 (03:01):
All right. The greyhound racing lure was affectionately known as
swifty yea, spawning the repetition of the track announcers call
there goes Swifty.

Speaker 4 (03:09):
See that doctor. You know, in some ways I am
a historian, you are a bill. This is good news
for all of you. The month of May is mental
health Awareness month, and I think each of us should
probably check on ourselves.

Speaker 6 (03:24):
I mean, you know, it is good to get a
check up from the neck up I must.

Speaker 4 (03:28):
Say, yes, Well, check up from the neck up.

Speaker 6 (03:32):
Well, it just means, you know, talk to somebody, whether
that's a professional or a friend. You know, get stuff
off your chest.

Speaker 4 (03:37):
Okay, Now, while we were sleeping, there were so many
twists and turns and the Bill Belichick Jordan Hudson thing.
This gets crazier by the hour. There's so much going on.
My prediction, Bill Belichick will not take the field with
the U, N and C football team when the time comes.

(03:59):
He won't be the coach.

Speaker 5 (04:00):
There are a lot of developments yesterday. Family developments in
the Belichick family.

Speaker 4 (04:04):
Oh yeah, his own daughter in law's coming out punching.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
A lot of stuff was canceled.

Speaker 4 (04:11):
Yeah, we've got all this coming up in the entertainment.
All I know is, you know, I got home late
last night. I hosted a galap by the way, wonderful
gallup for youth villages, really really great organization doing a
lot of great things for young people and families. But
so I got in late, so I didn't really get
a chance to pay attention to a lot of the
Belichick Jordan Hudson thing. But we have it because all

(04:32):
of you were paying attention.

Speaker 6 (04:33):
My favorite is the people that we'll talk about who
are typically outspoken about these things that are holding back
and not saying much or you know, staying neutral like whom. Well,
you have to listen to the entertainment at six point
forty winning. I can't wait, you guys, that's a teeth.
That's a teeth.

Speaker 4 (04:53):
That's what we do, folks listening. If you're not in
the broadcast business. What Justin just did was tease ahead. Yes,
tease ahead is the terminal.

Speaker 6 (05:02):
Yeah, I'm trying to be a trained professional. I learned
from Billy.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
From the Planet Fitness Kiss one Away Studios. But we're
back with a Billy and Lisa in the morning Kiss.

Speaker 4 (05:15):
Okay, we're ready to go with entertainment. But Justin and
I say we get a couple of talkbacks in. It
is Friday, after all.

Speaker 6 (05:21):
Friday is usually the most popular day on the talkback.
So jump in right now. You can leave your message
on the iHeartRadio app. You just pressed that little red
microphone that's called a talkback, recording your message into the
phone that comes to me. It's like magic, and then
I may or may not put you on the radio,
just saying happy Friday.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
It's the Mayor of the South.

Speaker 7 (05:39):
Then if you see people in their underwear today, don't
be alarmed. Today is National No Pans Day. Now we
know Lisa has those beautiful legs. Justin, you're always working
on those legs. Take off your pups and let's see
those legs.

Speaker 4 (05:56):
Whoa, whoa, his pants down?

Speaker 5 (06:01):
Come on, No, no, no, no, don't you do that
though every every week.

Speaker 6 (06:06):
For my coach. Yeah, oh yeah, I took some pictures
this morning, but I have updates it. Okay, I have
to do every week. I have to look at Justin's quads.

Speaker 5 (06:15):
Okay, it's really weird.

Speaker 6 (06:18):
That's I have a coach that has to see my
body in the progress and then he updates my plan
and all that. But yeah, it's a little weird. It's
my underwear at two in the morning and my kitchen.

Speaker 4 (06:27):
Well, how can you all the work you put in
on your legs and your quads, how could you not
go pantless on No pants Day?

Speaker 6 (06:34):
I mean, I'll take my pants off. Is it going
to be an HR issue?

Speaker 8 (06:37):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (06:37):
I don't think so. We don't care.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
I have video of you taking your pants off, like, yeah,
twelve times.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
Yeah, we've seen it all.

Speaker 4 (06:42):
Yeah, we really have.

Speaker 6 (06:45):
It's fun. Anyway, shout out to the mayor.

Speaker 9 (06:46):
You know, I always feel so good about my life
until the may of the South End calls in and
then I realized that mine sucks.

Speaker 6 (06:55):
But yes, you can check in from anywhere you are
at you're on vacation or traveling the world, traveling in
the country, you can check in the talkbacks. We encourage that.

Speaker 10 (07:03):
Good morning morning crew. It's Woe from Salem, New Hampshire,
and I am calling from Zion National Park, Utah.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
It's absolutely gorgeous here.

Speaker 10 (07:11):
We're here hiking.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
But don't worry.

Speaker 10 (07:14):
I've listened to you every single day, but I've been
here and the After Show because I'm an After Show
Army member for life.

Speaker 6 (07:22):
Love. Yeah. Mo was the one that I saw in
market basket and she was listening to the billion Lisa
Show podcast. Oh yeah while she was shopping and then
bumped right into me.

Speaker 4 (07:31):
God, imagine if they have to rescue Moe on her hike.
You know, the helicopter comes in as to drop the basket.

Speaker 3 (07:37):
Well, let's hope not. I hope she's seeing Yeah.

Speaker 6 (07:39):
Yeah, she'll be okay. Yeah, anyway, let's go.

Speaker 7 (07:42):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (07:42):
The entertainment update with a billy pops up, all.

Speaker 4 (07:45):
Right, So it's gonna take on the Knicks in the
next round of the NBA Playoff. Nicks eliminated the Pistons
last night. Jalen Brunts in the game winner with just
seconds left for twelve seconds.

Speaker 11 (07:57):
Robson holder, next time, wait till the end, Bronson, what's
up a three?

Speaker 4 (08:05):
Kalen Bruns It it's the three. I got the double
bang on that one. Nick's coach on facing the Celtics next.

Speaker 11 (08:12):
Obviously, we'll be doing a lot of work in the
next couple of days.

Speaker 10 (08:15):
They're the defending champion, so we know that we're gonna
have to be at our best. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (08:20):
Game one Monday night, Boston, the TD Garden. Game two
Wednesday night in Boston. The TD Garden Red Sox lost
four to in Toronto last night, so they go three
and three on the road trip. They'll be back at
Fenway Park tonight and the Kentucky Derby is tomorrow. I
think it's going to be in the rain. Lisa off
the air, a couple of seconds ago, you were saying,

(08:40):
there's a Friday night race that a lot of people like.

Speaker 5 (08:42):
Even more exactly, so we had an author in from Quincy.
Wendy Francis, she wrote a book that's down at the Derby.

Speaker 3 (08:48):
It's a novel.

Speaker 5 (08:49):
But she said that the Friday Night Race, the Kentucky
Oaks Race are the Phillies. And she said that that's
like a hot take if you go down there for
the weekend and definitely check out the Friday Night and
that the Minjulip is.

Speaker 3 (09:04):
The drink of choice.

Speaker 5 (09:05):
But there's a pink drink called the Lily. Not into
bourbon to try the Lily. Anyway, I want to give
a shout out to Wendy Francis and her new boss.

Speaker 4 (09:13):
We're going down at the Derby. Yep, that's good stuff.
And we're waking up to several more developments in the
Bill Belichick, Jordan Hudson, what I call hot mess. Dave
Portnoy chiming in again. Yesterday.

Speaker 11 (09:25):
I had met Jordan and it was clear she ran
the show like she managed. We both were together at
a speaking gig. She she just ran the show. It
was very obvious.

Speaker 4 (09:39):
Was it clear that she was crazy? I don't know
what's going on.

Speaker 6 (09:43):
I mean, let me put this way.

Speaker 11 (09:45):
I know her and I know him, and I'm gonna
see them I'm sure in Nantucket and she sees everything
that is said. Now, am I afraid of her?

Speaker 7 (09:53):
No?

Speaker 11 (09:54):
Am I gonna sit here and really go out and
be like, she's the craziest person I've ever seen.

Speaker 6 (09:58):
No, I don't want to be.

Speaker 11 (10:00):
I'm carrying my watermelon first.

Speaker 4 (10:06):
I think she is or could be the craziest person
I've ever seen.

Speaker 6 (10:10):
I just love Portnoyd. He's like, typically he'd be the
one that's, you know, bashing away. Yeah, and he's like, yeah,
I'm gonna be on vacation. I don't I don't want
to run into her.

Speaker 4 (10:19):
And one of the big developments I mentioned a couple
of minutes ago, Lisa. There was supposed to be a
hard knock series on Bill Belichick, but Jordan screwed that up.

Speaker 12 (10:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (10:28):
NFL Films was supposed to start filming March first about
the Coach at UNC and they scrapped it after three
days because Jordan asked to be the executive producer on
the project. She also asked for dailies. Imagine this, she
wanted to see dailies. She also asked that the execs
treat her with respector they wouldn't get to use the

(10:49):
coach as I p and then the executive vice president
came out and said, yeah, we're not We're walking away
from the project. Wow.

Speaker 4 (10:57):
And there are a couple of reports suggesting UNC football
might be second guessing themselves and starting to get a
little concerned. Belichick's daughter in law was slamming Jordan on Instagram.
Right didn't she come out?

Speaker 5 (11:09):
Yes, sir Steven's working for UNC. Her name's Jen And
she commented on Julian Edelman's comments that he made on
his podcast with Frank saying that publicists don't storm off
the set.

Speaker 4 (11:23):
Here are my questions, okay, questions for the crowd so
to speak. Number one, will Belichick actually take the field
with UNC football? Do you think it goes through?

Speaker 13 (11:34):
Now?

Speaker 4 (11:35):
Okay? Question number two, When and if Bill Belichick takes
the field with the UNC football team, will Jordan be
taking the field with them? Coming out of the tunnel
so to speak? Yeah, I think so too. I really

(11:55):
think if it happens and Belichick makes it to the
start of the season, I think Jordan is gonna come
running out of the tunnel, possibly in a cheerleading suit.
Oh and here's my final question. Should both Belichick and
Jordan come out of the tunnel, Jordan running alongside Belichick

(12:15):
to the sidelines. Will Jordan be booed? Yeah, buddy, you
gotta believe she would be right. You gotta believe. On
the campus of u NC, it's probably the big buzz story,
right the hell's going on with the coach?

Speaker 5 (12:30):
I would think, so, I don't think she's gonna be booed,
but I think she's going to be right there with
a headset on, and.

Speaker 6 (12:37):
I do well. She was calling plays during practice. Literally
she had the headset on and everything.

Speaker 4 (12:41):
And she was running back and forth to assistant coaches
and everything, instructing them on the game of football. What
is going on anyway, We'll see what happens meantime, a
lot of TV this weekend. The Derby is tomorrow Saturday
Night Live Tomorrow Night, quent To Brunson will be the
guest host. Benson Boone is the musical guest. Tomorrow Sunday
night on ABC the Time one hundred Special. A lot

(13:05):
of celebrities expected to turn out for that, and Sunday
night on HBO the series finale of The Righteous Gemstones.
Any of us watching that, never it. It's getting a
lot of buzz it's that guy that used to have
the reality show, The Funny Guy comedian. Oh god, the
Righteous Jempstones. And there's somebody else we really know in
The Righteous Gemstones. Anyway, I'll give everybody a couple of minutes.

Speaker 6 (13:28):
Yeah, Dan McBride, yes, that's it. John Goodman's in it.

Speaker 4 (13:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (13:31):
Yeah, it's a sleeper. I think you don't really hear.
I don't really know anyone that's watching it, but everyone's
raving about it. Yes, one of those weird things.

Speaker 4 (13:39):
So yesterday we talked about the F one movie with
Brad Pitt. It has a monster soundtrack. I think producer
Riley went to the movie yesterday.

Speaker 6 (13:48):
She didn't, of.

Speaker 4 (13:49):
Course, not monster soundtrack. Dojakat Edgeer and Tate McCrae, Rose,
Madison Beer, Chris Stapleton, all of those people on the
soundtrack for the F one movie with Brad Pitt as
the lead. End It is new music Friday, justin let's go.

Speaker 6 (14:05):
Got to start with Ed Sharon. His new song Old
Phone is out. Remember he had the Old Phone pub
up there in Ipswich. But the song just dropped and
I think we love it.

Speaker 14 (14:16):
I feel a overwhelming sad Let's.

Speaker 4 (14:20):
Before the friends I do not have.

Speaker 6 (14:22):
Let By the way, this could probably be added to
the songs that make You Cry that we did yesterday.
I remember ed Sharon talked recently about the song and
where it came from. Remember that lawsuit that he had
for the Marvin Gaye song. I assume he ended up
winning that lawsuit. But part of the preparing was he
found an old phone and he went through it. It's
like ten years old, and he found all these old
pictures and texts.

Speaker 4 (14:43):
I had a song on my record.

Speaker 7 (14:47):
You know.

Speaker 14 (14:47):
I was in a lawsuit a couple of years ago.

Speaker 4 (14:49):
Yes, I remember that.

Speaker 14 (14:50):
In the lawsuit, they order you to give up all
your old devices. So I handed everything in, but I
haven't used I moved to a tablet in twenty fifteen,
just on email, and so I switched my phone off
twenty fifteen and left it in a box. And then
when I went through that lawsuit, I got my phone
out again and had to go through all the voice
notes and the pictures and all that stuff for the lawyers.

(15:12):
And I switched on and it was like going into
a time machine. Like the first text was my friend
that had passed away the year before the second text
was like an argument with an ex girlfriend. The third
text was a family member I hadn't spoken to in
ten years.

Speaker 4 (15:24):
Bull text was another mate that died, and I was
kind of like scrolling down.

Speaker 14 (15:28):
It really really spun me out, And that day I
wrote in my notes like I found my old phone
today and then finished this as a song and then
I ended up writing it into a song that that's
the music video for.

Speaker 3 (15:39):
Well, I really like that story.

Speaker 4 (15:40):
Yeah therey good.

Speaker 6 (15:41):
Yeah. I actually found an old phone and reached out
to someone, an old friend I had lost their number,
So I definitely relate to that song. So good song.
Maroon five is out with their new single. They have
a new album on the way new tour, but Adam
Levine the other night talked about the new album and
says Maroon five is going back to their roots.

Speaker 15 (15:59):
It was really different around because we really got back
to the basics of how we started, and you know,
like as time went on, songwriters came in and we
did a lot of collaborations with a lot of different people,
which was amazing and led to some amazing and amazing
run of hits and all that. But this was kind
of back to just the organic, kind of simple all created.

Speaker 6 (16:18):
In house and here it is the first single from
that album Adam Levine Maroon five and Lisa from Blackpink.
It's called Pricelet.

Speaker 4 (16:25):
He's blonde now right, Yeah, he looks like he's in
the Sex Pistols or something like that.

Speaker 6 (16:30):
Well, he's got the head tats, right, his head's tatted.
Did you get the head tat?

Speaker 3 (16:36):
That's a whole new level.

Speaker 6 (16:37):
That's a whole new level. I like it.

Speaker 4 (16:39):
I think he's so talented, very creative.

Speaker 6 (16:41):
Yeah. And finally, one more when we get this instantly
of Gomez and Benny Blanco dropped the deluxe version of
their album and it features this sultry song that they
teased before. We're kind of waiting for it. Make your
MoMA proud.

Speaker 4 (16:55):
Daddy's here for you.

Speaker 1 (17:01):
I know you're.

Speaker 4 (17:03):
Lady. Got got Bruno Mars song Die with a smile.
Just past the one billion views mark. We love that song.
Can we get a little piece of it right now?
I think it deserves avilia.

Speaker 1 (17:22):
Oh, such a good time.

Speaker 4 (17:23):
Right, it deserves a bilion? And how about this role
model on the Elvis Durant Show yesterday. That's our New
York City morning show with our old pal Gandhi. Don't
forget he's heading out on tour with the Gracie Abers.

Speaker 16 (17:36):
She was one of the first people I met when
I first moved to LA which was like twenty end
of twenty eighteen, beginning of twenty nineteen. And I had
met her Ray when she was putting out her first
EP minor and so I got to like literally watch
her from that moment to now, you know, doing three

(17:57):
nights at Radio City, and now this summer she's doing
two nights.

Speaker 6 (18:01):
That what is the big to jump in there?

Speaker 3 (18:09):
What's the big?

Speaker 4 (18:14):
Yeah? By the way, Gracie Abrams and Role Model come
to the TD Garden here in Boston two nights July
twenty third and twenty fourth. And finally, this Nick Cannon
has always been obsessed with his testicles. Let's be honest
with each other. He has twelve kids and counting, and
he says last year he actually insured his testicles for

(18:37):
ten million dollars.

Speaker 17 (18:38):
I mean it started off like, yo, this would be
a good joke. What we really went through with the
doctor Squatch, who is.

Speaker 4 (18:45):
Known for like you know, manscaping and all that stuff.

Speaker 17 (18:48):
They were like a lot of celebrity women are ensuring
their legs in case something goes wrong. Yeah, they were like, well,
what's your most valuable asset.

Speaker 6 (18:59):
I got?

Speaker 17 (19:00):
The insurance policy of office is like, it's it's a legit.
If I happen to lose one, all the money goes
to my key.

Speaker 4 (19:08):
Yeah. The biggest part of this story to me is
that doctor Squat actually exists.

Speaker 1 (19:15):
It's out there. It's like, I know, yeah, it's pretty.
It's good for men.

Speaker 5 (19:20):
I feel like he's already lost them in some case,
you know, right, because you've got twelve kids, you've got
a lot of well I mean the women now own them.
Yeah right, I mean that's one weird looking at.

Speaker 1 (19:32):
I actually know someone who shared their whole body.

Speaker 4 (19:35):
Oh really.

Speaker 1 (19:36):
My friend he's a doctor, and he's like, if anything happens, like,
can't work.

Speaker 3 (19:39):
I just I know, like my dad insured his hands.

Speaker 4 (19:42):
Yeah, that's that's common. Yeah. I just think it's time
for Nick to stop talking about his testicles.

Speaker 3 (19:48):
Yeah, it's like we.

Speaker 6 (19:49):
Know, yeah, and he's gonna have more kids. I think,
oh boy, definitely, he said he's not done.

Speaker 4 (19:54):
Hey, we're brought to you by Wilson Farm. Life is
better with tulips. Let's face it. Pick your own toolips

Speaker 10 (20:16):
Expect, Bill does have special balls.

Speaker 2 (20:20):
From the Planet Fitness, Kiss one Oway Studios. We we're
back with a Villy and Lisa in the morning on Kiss.

Speaker 4 (20:27):
Hey guys, so welcome back and happy Friday to all
of you out there, justin you want to get some talkbacks.

Speaker 18 (20:34):
I went to Mel Robbins last night at the Wan.

Speaker 10 (20:37):
She has three sold out shows in Boston.

Speaker 19 (20:40):
It was amazing.

Speaker 1 (20:41):
I really didn't know what.

Speaker 6 (20:42):
To expect.

Speaker 1 (20:44):
And it was great.

Speaker 8 (20:46):
She's so funny, She's funnier than I knew she was,
and she actually incorporated her family really nicely.

Speaker 10 (20:53):
Her daughters were there and it was just really really
an awesome night. So if you have tickets, you're in
for a treat.

Speaker 20 (20:59):
Have great weekend.

Speaker 3 (21:00):
I love that.

Speaker 4 (21:01):
At least isn't her daughter on tour with the Wall
of Time?

Speaker 3 (21:03):
Well, her daughter Sawyer wrote the book. They let them
theory with her. So and she came to my book
club too. Sawyer was there so.

Speaker 4 (21:10):
Oh yeah yeah. And Melo is back tonight, right she is?

Speaker 5 (21:13):
She has all Yeah. She starts her tour here in
Boston and all of her shows are sold out.

Speaker 4 (21:18):
It's amazing, like six shows or something.

Speaker 3 (21:20):
Amazing.

Speaker 5 (21:21):
Wow.

Speaker 6 (21:22):
Yeah, I bet a lot of people have tickets.

Speaker 1 (21:23):
They do.

Speaker 4 (21:24):
Yeah, yeah, a lot of people I know have called
me saying yeah, one of two things, Hey, you're going
to Mel Robbins, And the next one is do you
have tickets for mel Robinson?

Speaker 6 (21:32):
Yeah? Wow, good for her.

Speaker 20 (21:35):
Hey there, long time listener, Lauren. I just wanted to
say how awesome it is to listen to all of you.
You're caring and love and pure enjoyment of each other
is palpable through the radio.

Speaker 6 (21:48):
Okay.

Speaker 20 (21:49):
I remember when you came back from vacation. I could
really feel it, and I had a big smile on
my face driving in and around in my car by myself,
and I'm sure I'm not the only one. It's really
awesome you guys, Thanks for what you do for us.

Speaker 4 (22:02):
Or she's got an imagination, huh.

Speaker 3 (22:05):
I think we crack each other up all the time.

Speaker 4 (22:07):
Yeah, I will say that we laugh a lot.

Speaker 5 (22:09):
I literally can't stop laughing. Yeah, from the second I
come in.

Speaker 6 (22:13):
I don't know, it's what we do best. But thank
you very much. We appreciate that.

Speaker 4 (22:17):
Yes, laugh for a living.

Speaker 3 (22:19):
Yeah, good morning, guys. It's Sunday from the Sea Coast.

Speaker 6 (22:21):
Happy Friday.

Speaker 5 (22:23):
I sure hope it's not going to be one of
those summers where it is beautiful while I'm.

Speaker 18 (22:27):
Network and rainy all weekend.

Speaker 13 (22:29):
Anyway, fingers crossed, love you guys.

Speaker 4 (22:31):
Yeah, that happened last summer, right. It rained almost every weekend.

Speaker 6 (22:35):
The year I bought my house in Salem, New Hampshire.
The first summer it rained on Memorial Day, July fourth day.

Speaker 1 (22:43):
That was awful.

Speaker 6 (22:44):
Three weekends. So my first time ever having a pool
was no good on all those weekends.

Speaker 1 (22:48):
Oh yeah, do you remember every long weekend out it
was awful.

Speaker 3 (22:51):
Yes, four was like a rainow down an ocean edge.

Speaker 4 (22:55):
Yeah, no place to go and nothing to do.

Speaker 6 (22:57):
Yeah, no cookouts. More depressing than being in your house
and just looking at your pool.

Speaker 4 (23:03):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 6 (23:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 12 (23:06):
So I'm going to the Belmont Steaks in Saratoga next month,
and I cannot even tell you how excited I am
to wear the most obnoxious hat you've ever seen. Don't
care if it's Kentucky or not doing it? Like, how
often do you have that opportunity?

Speaker 4 (23:23):
So true? Just do it, have fun with it, Lisa,
aren't you going to a hat party somewhere?

Speaker 5 (23:28):
I'm hosting party in the park which is a benefit
for the Emerald Necklace on May fourteenth. It's a luncheon
from twelve to three. And yeah, it's a big hat party.
So I think I might. Some people do floral like
wreathes on their head or like a headband.

Speaker 3 (23:41):
I think I might do that. So cute.

Speaker 5 (23:43):
Yeah, because it's all about, you know, being outside and
celebrating nature and taking care of all of our public
spaces in Boston.

Speaker 4 (23:50):
Seems very biblical.

Speaker 3 (23:52):
Oh the floral read Yeah.

Speaker 1 (23:56):
I mean, I mean yeah, I guess it has some.

Speaker 4 (23:58):
Denzil in the Yeah.

Speaker 6 (24:02):
That should be a good party. Yeah.

Speaker 18 (24:04):
Yeah, Hey guys, book club Daisy listen. I have an
observation about this Jordan girl. Where are her friends? Why
is no one telling her to slow down?

Speaker 6 (24:15):
If I was.

Speaker 18 (24:15):
Running like this, you better believe my friends would be
telling me just quit it.

Speaker 4 (24:21):
Oh, I don't think she would listen to friends. She's
on her own right now. She doesn't care. And by
the way, we talked about this off the air, I
would love it if there's anyone out there listening to
us on the UNC campus. It goes to school there.
I'd love to hear their thoughts, like, what's the buzz
on the UNC campus. We must have listeners down there

(24:42):
or people here whose family goes to school down there.

Speaker 3 (24:45):
Yes, there's someone who's involved in the athletic department.

Speaker 6 (24:47):
And you can be anonymous.

Speaker 4 (24:49):
Yes, definitely be anonymous. Give us the juice.

Speaker 6 (24:51):
Yeah, let us know. Wow. All right, Mother's Day is
coming up very soon next weekend, so the topic for
today is going to be about Mother's Day, best and
worst Mother's Day gifts. This is going to be a
good one, I think.

Speaker 20 (25:04):
Good morning guys, especially Billy.

Speaker 4 (25:06):
A couple of years ago, I got my mom the Dining.

Speaker 7 (25:09):
Playbook box set on TVDS. Instead, it wasn't for her,
so I took it back and started watching it, and
that's how I started by crush on Billy.

Speaker 4 (25:16):
Hey, Lisa kiss. Okay, So right around the corner is
Mother's Day and Lisa, you're sitting there with a list
of gifts from moms.

Speaker 5 (25:26):
Okay, now I have to preface this that this is
the Gwyneth Paltrow list for mom, so this can get.

Speaker 3 (25:32):
A little crazy.

Speaker 5 (25:33):
Earlier we were talking about the gift of experience as
being a nice gift for mom, whether it's a concert
or a show, or a weekend or a you know,
something like that.

Speaker 4 (25:43):
So this is kind of a tradition on our show
that every year, right before in Mother's Day, we give Gwyneth's.

Speaker 5 (25:48):
List we do, which can get a little crazy, but
I have to say we agreed with one of them,
the gift of an ice bath and a home sauna
or just an ice bath and sauna experience like they
have now all over the city.

Speaker 6 (26:01):
Yeah, it's really popular now and I do it every
day for a reason. I mean, it makes you feel good,
you know, either one or the other. You know, if
you don't like the cold, you can do the hot,
or you can do both like me. By the way,
New England Spots has both. Check them out.

Speaker 4 (26:13):
Oh yeah they did, justin here's an idea for you, right,
because you have both, you have the sauna and the
ice bath. Regift them to Jen.

Speaker 6 (26:22):
She's really not that in sign them over. Now, all
she wants is time. That's all she wants is time
away from us, the kids and me, mostly me.

Speaker 5 (26:30):
It's so funny when I when my kids were little,
I actually wanted to spend the day with them, like
doing going for a walk or a hike or something
like that. So I don't know, but Asana will run
you like a home sauna for two an infrared five
thousand dollars.

Speaker 3 (26:43):
Yeah around that.

Speaker 6 (26:44):
Every penny though, Yeah, yeah, that's worth it.

Speaker 5 (26:47):
But you can also go to like one of those
places like sweat House or you know, maybe buy a
package for Momoh, which.

Speaker 3 (26:53):
Is a great idea.

Speaker 5 (26:54):
But again we're talking about you know, concert experiences. But
they also say that people still doing a lot of
flowers and candy and gift cards.

Speaker 4 (27:04):
I'm going to go on the limb. Moms don't like that.
It's too easy. I think it's too obvious.

Speaker 5 (27:08):
I think it's too obvious, and it means that you
really didn't spend a whole lot of time thinking about mom.

Speaker 4 (27:13):
Yeah, happy Mother's Day. No experience, so you're right do that.
And by the way, if they do something like the
sweat house, is that my friend's place.

Speaker 1 (27:20):
Is that where they go.

Speaker 3 (27:23):
Nico on the show.

Speaker 4 (27:24):
Yeah, you can go with friends other moms, Yeah, and
have a collective mom celebration at a sweat house.

Speaker 5 (27:30):
Or they're saying, like by like a wine night for
your mom and her friends. Or even come to Lisa's
book club like that's a fun thing. Like make it,
you know, make a reservation at one of our book
club events for momfective?

Speaker 3 (27:41):
Right, it really is.

Speaker 1 (27:42):
Actually there's still time. You want to take her to
Connecticut on Wenesday.

Speaker 3 (27:45):
It's free.

Speaker 5 (27:46):
Yeah, it will cost you anything, exactly.

Speaker 3 (27:49):
Yeah, it's thoughtful.

Speaker 6 (27:51):
It's really about effort. That's what I've learned. It's just
about the effort that you put in to show that
you care and you love her.

Speaker 4 (27:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (27:58):
And also, like the store bought car, I know, Billy,
you hate oh God, hate them, hate them, hate them.

Speaker 4 (28:03):
Well, here's the thing. If you're going to get a
store bought card, spend a little time in the card aisle,
and don't just grab the first one you see. Grab
one that seems to connect with your relationship with your
wife A and B. Inside the card, write a nice
long note and why you love your wife so much?
Or why mom is so right?

Speaker 5 (28:24):
I always get a really nice card from the kids,
like they handwright like a nice thing, and I always
keep them with really really nice I do want to
mention though, that Gwyneth, you know, being Gwyneth always has
to put something in there regarding a sex toy. So
she does say that you should, guys should buy your
mom the woman eyes.

Speaker 19 (28:40):
Or well, it's the gift that keeps on giving, well
your actual mom or your wife or your wife whoever,
by my.

Speaker 4 (28:52):
Mother that.

Speaker 3 (28:55):
But that's this is again, this is Gwenneth's.

Speaker 4 (28:57):
Last have a ball.

Speaker 6 (28:59):
Yeah, wow, all right, damn.

Speaker 3 (29:03):
It's one hundred and fifty nine dollars.

Speaker 6 (29:05):
Oh so there you go, one hundred and fifty nine
bucks for all that pleasure price. Let's go to the
hold on. Let's go to the line one Lisa, Hello,
Oh Mother's Day.

Speaker 17 (29:14):
Fuck.

Speaker 4 (29:15):
Then a big bedwinden.

Speaker 3 (29:18):
I took a dance clasp. I can't even move my hip.

Speaker 11 (29:21):
I think they're gonna send.

Speaker 6 (29:22):
Me to the day spine.

Speaker 2 (29:23):
Now it's topic time with Billy and Lisa in the morning.

Speaker 4 (29:28):
Yeah, so we're coming up on Mother's Day and we
were going over a list of gift ideas. I guess, adventures, experiences,
are still popular.

Speaker 5 (29:36):
Right, li Oh, I think that they are trending. This
is like what moms really want.

Speaker 4 (29:40):
Yeah, and what we want now is we definitely want
some really good gift ideas for mom. But at the
same time, just as much, we'd like to hear about
some really bad gifts that you've gotten over the years.
So let's start with the phone. Allison is checking in
with us from Georgetown. So Allison, what have you got?

Speaker 21 (30:00):
So there's a farm near my house and they do
flower picking for wild flowers. So every year my husband
gets me a picking pass so that I can go
five times during the summer and they last really a
long time, so I have fresh flowers all summer, and
instead of giving me flowers for that one day, I
get flowers all summer.

Speaker 3 (30:20):
I love this. This is that's so cool.

Speaker 4 (30:22):
Yeah, I like that idea lot.

Speaker 21 (30:24):
So relaxing to go flower picking. They have so many options.
I don't know if I can shout them out, you can?
I think.

Speaker 6 (30:31):
I think I've been there, Allison, where is it?

Speaker 21 (30:34):
Cider Hill's been there?

Speaker 6 (30:37):
That's a great place.

Speaker 21 (30:38):
Amazing. I follow all of their picking. They do strawberries, blueberries, everything,
but their wild flowers are insane.

Speaker 5 (30:44):
I have to say Brookwood Farm out where I live
near in Canton.

Speaker 3 (30:48):
Also great farm flower picking.

Speaker 6 (30:50):
Yeah, Allison just gave me a great idea. My wife
that's her favorite flower, wildflower. So it's called Cider Hill Farm, right, Yeah. Yeah,
we're definitely out the TV show there.

Speaker 13 (31:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (31:01):
Wow, guys.

Speaker 13 (31:02):
Jonathan Broxton my husband, and he tells me to make
a list, never gets me anything off of my list
for Mother's Day, but he told me this year he's
not giving me my gift to May twenty third. We're
going somewhere overnight, so my gift is pending right now.
I'll keep you posting.

Speaker 4 (31:22):
I don't get that go for the overnight. When you
go for the overnight, don't make it Mother's Day gift.
And you gotta give her a gift on Mother's Day.

Speaker 6 (31:29):
And then say give her a gift on Mother's Day
and then say, hey, also, I know it's a few
weeks away. Yeah as well, exactly what it's gonna get
a nothing from Mother's Day?

Speaker 4 (31:37):
Oh gosh.

Speaker 22 (31:38):
Every Mother's Day, my cousin Chad throws a Mother's Day
party on his house boat and it actually is right
next to Billy's boat.

Speaker 13 (31:49):
So Billy.

Speaker 22 (31:49):
I'll be looking for you this Mother's Day.

Speaker 3 (31:52):
Have a good morning, guys.

Speaker 4 (31:52):
Oh my god, I know Chad. Well, Chad is one
of the nicest guys on the planet. And he has
a giant house boat. He's always entertaining on the boat.
Every Bruins game is a big Bruins fans awesome. Every
Bruins game he's up on the upper deck of the
house boat. Everybody's there watching the game on the big screen. Hey, Chad,
what's up. I'm so glad, somebody shouted out, Chad, what
a nice guy.

Speaker 6 (32:12):
Yeah, joined the party. Bill.

Speaker 23 (32:14):
One of my favorite gifts from one of my three
children on Mother's Day was a book that she bought
for me that was written by an author I really loved,
and she wrote me a beautiful message. I think that
was my favorite gift, and it wasn't ridiculously expensive, but
I could picture my teenage daughter walking up and down

(32:34):
the aisle at Barnes and Noble and finding the perfect book.

Speaker 3 (32:38):
Have a great day. It is really nice. That's a
nice thought.

Speaker 5 (32:41):
Again, like, it's thoughtful. Think about your mother, Lisa, What
do you want? I don't really know, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (32:48):
Something thoughtful.

Speaker 5 (32:49):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, or or an experience like a concert, yeah,
be fine.

Speaker 3 (32:53):
I want to go to du Aalipa.

Speaker 4 (32:54):
You want to go to Coldplay?

Speaker 3 (32:55):
I want to go to cold Play?

Speaker 4 (32:56):
Yeah, Max and Ray if you're listening, do a lipa
or play either one? You know, get one each.

Speaker 6 (33:02):
That would be a you know what Bill and I
will get you well, maybe we'll buy you well, Bill
will buy you cold Play tickets?

Speaker 21 (33:09):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (33:11):
Absolutely, Where do you get those? Just not give me
the credit card the mighty McCabe. If you're listening, I
need cold Play tickets.

Speaker 1 (33:20):
My mom's not big on experiences. She'd rather stay in
and relax.

Speaker 8 (33:25):
But I went to one of those paint your own
pottery places and spent way too many hours painting a
big serving dish for her. And I'll probably pair that
with a nice card and some flowers and something else
for her, so hopefully she likes it. We always do
something homemade, handmade for her, and she really likes them.
So happy mothers say to all the moms, I.

Speaker 3 (33:47):
Really love that that they that they do that every year.

Speaker 5 (33:51):
I just I remember we we had a time where
paint your own pottery was the only thing that Riley
would do.

Speaker 3 (33:56):
He had like the giant gumball machine.

Speaker 4 (34:01):
I was on Martha's vineyard once a couple of summers ago.
We went to a pottery making thing in the middle
of nowhere.

Speaker 6 (34:08):
It was just it was like, hell, did you do
that whole like ghost scene with Demie Moore? No, it's
just you know, what are we doing? You know, you
make this bowl or something and it's all crooked and
what are you going to do with it? And by
the way, we never got the balls.

Speaker 1 (34:23):
You never do.

Speaker 4 (34:24):
Actually we send them to you. No, we never got
I think they melt them down or something and redo them. No,
and somebody there had raging diarrhea. There was no you know,
I mean it was in them.

Speaker 7 (34:36):
No, not me.

Speaker 4 (34:37):
It was in the middle of nowhere.

Speaker 3 (34:39):
Broom.

Speaker 6 (34:39):
Oh, it wasn't like that that classic scene with Demi
Moore and Patrick Swayze.

Speaker 4 (34:45):
Not at all.

Speaker 21 (34:47):
No, I know that.

Speaker 4 (34:50):
No, it's nothing like not that. Trust me. There's no
bench in romantic scene with her shaping the penis uh
telling you.

Speaker 6 (35:01):
It's not what you think you count it a right, Well,
you take that off the list.

Speaker 1 (35:08):
Please you hig Morning team.

Speaker 13 (35:13):
My worst Mother's Day gift was a breadmaker.

Speaker 18 (35:16):
Really, you can get sure.

Speaker 7 (35:19):
Billy and Lisa every morning, kiss one A wait, Oh,
we've got so much going on.

Speaker 4 (35:22):
First, the Celts have a game one Monday night with
the Knicks. Red Sox are inaction at Fenway Park tonight.
The Kentucky Derby is tomorrow. This is the first weekend
of the month of May. And what happened this past
hour at the rain, Oh my god.

Speaker 6 (35:38):
Whatever you do, just just don't look at the forecast.

Speaker 9 (35:41):
I just look at the weather for this upcoming week
and it looks like straight through to Friday with rain,
including rain this weekend. I'm going to be in St.
Kits and Nivis next week, and normally I would feel
bad about going, given how bad the weather's going to
be here. But at this point, with the way the
weather's been for us here, it's every man for himself.

(36:02):
I don't even feel bad.

Speaker 20 (36:04):
He can get away.

Speaker 8 (36:05):
Just go.

Speaker 4 (36:07):
Imagine this is how we start in May, and.

Speaker 3 (36:09):
It's going to be in the fifties next week and rain.

Speaker 4 (36:12):
And don't forget last summer it rained every weekend.

Speaker 6 (36:15):
Well that's the that's the new trend now here in Boston. Yeah,
it's beautiful during the week Monday usually, you know, maybe
not next week. But it's been beautiful all week Friday, Saturday,
Sunday duds.

Speaker 3 (36:24):
We've had eight rainy weekends. Yeah, pretty much.

Speaker 6 (36:27):
It's stinks.

Speaker 4 (36:28):
Think today is going to be decent.

Speaker 5 (36:30):
Yeah, the sun's going to come out later, right, No,
it's not going to no and tomorrow will be warm.

Speaker 6 (36:36):
But you know what, rain or shine tonight, big doings.

Speaker 4 (36:38):
Happy Friday morning, crew.

Speaker 10 (36:40):
This is my first talkback.

Speaker 8 (36:42):
I'm so excited.

Speaker 1 (36:43):
I'm going to mel Robins tonight with my sister and
one of my best friends.

Speaker 11 (36:46):
Have a great weekend.

Speaker 4 (36:48):
Oh fun.

Speaker 6 (36:48):
I love that.

Speaker 3 (36:49):
That's so great, that's amazing.

Speaker 5 (36:51):
Congratulations to her for, you know, selling out all these shows,
going on this big book tour.

Speaker 4 (36:56):
And I've got the perfect gift idea for mom. A
pawn show.

Speaker 6 (37:00):
That's a good one. But we just had the topic
of the best and worst Mother's Day gifts.

Speaker 13 (37:04):
You guys are gifts.

Speaker 9 (37:07):
I'm lucky if I get a card.

Speaker 1 (37:10):
That's sad.

Speaker 4 (37:11):
Yeah, I love the anger.

Speaker 3 (37:14):
Yeah her, her family needs to step it up.
