the White Lotus finale last night. We'll talk more about
that later this morning, but the White Lotus finale, because
the show was so popular and we loved it so much,

And there were two or three in that collection that
I thought, Oh, I want to see this, So I

I keep seeing that as I'm going to watch Severn,

watched on Netflix for for crime thrillers this weekend, The
Gilgo Beach Killer, The Long Island serial killer. How did

He was a serial killer from the nineties, but then
the bodies got recovered around twenty eleven. Several women were
killed and thumbing he was and they got him a
couple of years ago.

Yeah, weren't they like sex? Yeah, and he would target them.

Yeah, but there's so much more that goes into the case.
They ended up getting him and he was an architect. Oh,
he was with a family, two young girls or two daughter,
a son and a daughter.

I watched the Central Park crime the Jogger, that crime story.
That was pretty good, pretty heavy too though.

finale was last night. We've already ruined it for people
if they hadn't watched last night. We all stayed up,
but we warned you spoiler alert that we were going
to talk about it. Earl, you almost had two so
actor Walter Goggins, who was Rick, and I say was
because he's not alive anymore. On the White Lotus, he

was killed last night alone with his girlfriend Chelsea, she's
the one with the big teeth, but not before he
killed the guy he thought killed his father when it
turns out no, the guy he killed was his father,
and he talked talked about it on CBS.

Reading it for the first time, I understanding that that
is where we were headed and this that's the Mount
Everest that we were climbing, I knew that it was
going to be a very patient, slow walk to get
to that point. And I sympathized so greatly with Rick's
pain because his entire life story was defined by this

event that you know, he was told by his mother
and the genius of Mike White. In that revelation, Rick
only has a couple of seconds to register it before
he is being fired at.

Yeah, so he killed the owner of the resort, who
turned out to be his own father, and then guy Talk,
the security guard Kid ended up having to shoot Rick
in the back because the woman owner was yelling at
him because he just killed her husband. Kill him, kill him,

back end. He and Chelsea go into the pond face down.

The father was freaked out because he's losing everything. He's
probably going to prison when he gets home. So he thought,
you know what, there's no way my family could survive
unless they're filthy rich. So he thought he'd make the
shakes and give the shakes to all of the family
members except Lochlan. But then Lachlan got it by mistake.
He died for a couple of seconds, and then they

brought him back and m.

I don't know what Dad was so worried about. He'll
be like every other white collar crime. He'll do eight
months at club fed and then have house arrested.
Speaker 2 (13:48):
He'll lose the money. That's his concern was the money
for his family. Yeah, that they were accustomed to the
certain lifestyle.
Speaker 1 (13:53):
And that was left open when in the end, when
they were on the boat and they all got their
cell phones back after the vacation, I was convinced Mike
White was going to right. It's such that one of
them got a text saying that the dad was in
the clear.

It's all going to be good. Yeah. No, there were
a lot of loose ends that he didn't he did
not tie up.
Speaker 10 (14:09):
One other thing that they didn't really tie up on
the season finale of The White Lotus was that weird
interaction at breakfast between Victoria and Kate where Kate that
she recognized Victoria from somewhere else and she awkwardly denied.
It just seemed odd. They never did much more with that. Yeah,
could that be potentially setting up for the next season.

Well, Parker Posey was such a hit on this show.
I wouldn't be surprised if they find a way to
bring her back.

Well, I'm convinced that she knew what was going on.
It has an offshore account that a lot of money,
and that's going to be like the next season and

the Goggins role, but apparently they couldn't work out the schedule,
so they gave it a Sam Rocket.

He actually had a vacation plan with his family. Yeah,
it was going to interfere with the shooting, and he
chose the family vacation that. I love Woody. Oh yeah, God,
he would have been a good bad guy. What do

I do think Sam Rockwall did a great job. He
was so creepy. He does creepy well.

Goggins also said later around in the interview on CBS
this morning that they didn't they did not rehearse that
scene with the Asian girls. Obviously his reaction was genuine.

It's getting to know the other department basically. I mean

people are just coming in as we're leaving, when not

the talent us and the sales and because they sell us,

I've been on work retreats before. They're very helpful in

I think the best season finale that I ever saw
was Breaking Bad. They wrapped everything up, everything sort of

And speaking of movies, the Minecraft movie broke records this weekend,

the bodies got recovered around twenty eleven. Several women were
killed and thumbing he was and they got him a
couple of years ago.

Yeah, but there's so much more that goes into the case.
They ended up getting him and he was an architect. Oh,
he was with a family, two young girls or two daughter,

stay indoors, like incubated for six weeks. So we set
up a playpen with a screen on the top because

We can buy it, but then it needs to be

I can landscape. I know I can use a shovel,
but I just can't. I can't. You know, woodworking is
not my thing.

finale was last night. We've already ruined it for people
if they hadn't watched last night. We all stayed up,
but we warned you spoiler alert that we were going
to talk about it. Earl, you almost had two so
actor Walter Goggins, who was Rick, and I say was
because he's not alive anymore. On the White Lotus, he
(11:33):
was killed last night alone with his girlfriend Chelsea, she's
the one with the big teeth, but not before he
killed the guy he thought killed his father when it
turns out no, the guy he killed was his father,
and he talked talked about it on CBS.
Speaker 9 (11:51):
Reading it for the first time, I understanding that that
is where we were headed and this that's the Mount
Everest that we were climbing, I knew that it was
going to be a very patient, slow walk to get
to that point. And I sympathized so greatly with Rick's
pain because his entire life story was defined by this
(12:14):
event that you know, he was told by his mother
and the genius of Mike White. In that revelation, Rick
only has a couple of seconds to register it before
he is being fired at.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
Yeah, so he killed the owner of the resort, who
turned out to be his own father, and then guy Talk,
the security guard Kid ended up having to shoot Rick
in the back because the woman owner was yelling at
him because he just killed her husband. Kill him, kill him,
and he shoots Hi two or three times in the
back end. He and Chelsea go into the pond face down.

Speaker 2 (12:54):
I mean, you gave it all up.
Speaker 1 (12:57):
Well we can talk about the poison shakes. It were
supposed to kill the entire family.
Speaker 3 (13:02):
Well, it actually I think did kill Lachland for like
a mini second. I'm still going.
Speaker 2 (13:08):
Yeah, the younger brother, Lachlan, he said he saw God. Yeah,
which is interesting. They wrote that in they wanted he
wanted us to know that he died and then came back. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (13:18):
The father was freaked out because he's losing everything. He's
probably going to prison when he gets home. So he thought,
you know what, there's no way my family could survive
unless they're filthy rich. So he thought he'd make the
shakes and give the shakes to all of the family
members except Lochlan. But then Lachlan got it by mistake.
He died for a couple of seconds, and then they
(13:39):
brought him back and m.
Speaker 4 (13:41):
I don't know what Dad was so worried about. He'll
be like every other white collar crime. He'll do eight
months at club fed and then have house arrested.
Speaker 2 (13:48):
He'll lose the money. That's his concern was the money
for his family. Yeah, that they were accustomed to the
certain lifestyle.
Speaker 1 (13:53):
And that was left open when in the end, when
they were on the boat and they all got their
cell phones back after the vacation, I was convinced Mike
White was going to right. It's such that one of
them got a text saying that the dad was in
the clear.
Speaker 2 (14:05):
It's all going to be good. Yeah. No, there were
a lot of loose ends that he didn't he did
not tie up.
Speaker 10 (14:09):
One other thing that they didn't really tie up on
the season finale of The White Lotus was that weird
interaction at breakfast between Victoria and Kate where Kate that
she recognized Victoria from somewhere else and she awkwardly denied.
It just seemed odd. They never did much more with that. Yeah,
could that be potentially setting up for the next season.
Speaker 2 (14:29):
Well, Parker Posey was such a hit on this show.
I wouldn't be surprised if they find a way to
bring her back.
Speaker 4 (14:34):
Well, I'm convinced that she knew what was going on.
It has an offshore account that a lot of money,
and that's going to be like the next season and
then are we ever going to see Gary again?

And he gave the spa woman five plus million dollars

the Goggins role, but apparently they couldn't work out the schedule,
so they gave it a Sam Rocket.

He actually had a vacation plan with his family. Yeah,
it was going to interfere with the shooting, and he
chose the family vacation that. I love Woody. Oh yeah, God,
he would have been a good bad guy. What do

was so creepy. He does creepy well.

Goggins also said later around in the interview on CBS
this morning that they didn't they did not rehearse that

office that we were all speed dating today, and I

I think it's come back around. I used to host
speed dating things like back in the day.

The radio station, like it's City Winery fifteen years ago.
Yeah that you still like have these people would come
in and like they you know, hire the radio station whatever.
But yeah, but I've read recently that it's come back
around again.

I mean it's definitely I think people trying to meet
in person more so, that's what it's about, right, But.

to be sitting in front of another on air host
from another radio station.

No, but we're mixing it up with sales people, right exactly.

It's getting to know the other department basically. I mean
we leave early, we're here early, we leave early. Most
people are just coming in as we're leaving, when not
necessarily the most social people you would shocking enough.

I'm social. I'm very I'm very social. You talk to
one series, I'm just intimidated looking. Yeah, you talked to Sarah. No,
I love am I going to get Sarah and speak
and she's closest to us.

That's why you go right there.

Yeah, it's it's so we can get to know each other,
the talent us and the sales and because they sell us,
we work with them to sell us.

Right works, because I don't know anybody's name back then, Ye,
they'll represent us.

Yeah, And you sit down bill in front of them
and introduce yourself and they say, Hi, how are you.

Well, well that really happened weeks ago. Yeah really no,
I know, like ten minute conversation and they said, and
you are I.

Just did a record just like that, and you are

Boy, So yeah, you know what I mean, there's gonna
be a little melting here.

Feel like a lot of jobs do these kind of
team building things. They just call them different things, you
know what I mean. Like, I mean, I think people
that are listening can can relate to these type of things,
like the pot luck and like the outing together to
get a bonding.

The retreat right at the summer.
Speaker 3 (25:48):
I've been on work retreats before. They're very helpful in
team building. Don't look like everybody you were going to
take it today.
Speaker 2 (26:02):
I can't even believe that. Really. Yeah, all the chairs
are set up all across the studio, like speed dating,
across from each other. Yeah, so this is like ropper room.
This is going on.
Speaker 4 (26:13):
Yeah, really, I think like you haven't come up in
a conventional job setting. So like we have like one
meeting a week. We have meetings, you know, people have
meetings all day long. That's all they do is have meetings.
He's mad that we have one meeting a week.
Speaker 1 (26:24):
Oh, my TV shows, you have no idea. They meet
like fifty times a day. Never see fifteen times.
Speaker 3 (26:31):
Yeah, you have a unique perspective. Yeah, most people, this
is what they do.
Speaker 5 (26:35):

Jenny Johnson loves meetings.
Speaker 4 (26:37):
Yeah, but I think you've been spoiled to not have
to go to a lot of meetings and do things
you don't want to do. I thank Jenny for that,
but I'm just saying no, your whole career, like back
when you start in radio, they weren't doing speed dating
at ten o'clock in the morning.

But here's the thing.

Part of me really thinks they don't tell me about
meetings in my TV world because they're afraid.

They're afraid of what I'm going to say. Well, you
are bit of a crazy person. Yeah, and they know that.
So I think you've benefited from that. But this is good,
right list, This is a good this is a good thing.
It's a positive thing. Absolutely, you know. Just sit down,
introduce yourself.

I've been doing some work with Soccany, the shoe company,

you know, like a ten miler, but there's I don't
think there's any way I could ever do anything more. Yeah,

You have to do you know, ten miles. It's a job. Yeah. Yeah,
it's a lot of time. Is that you want to
do a marathon?

You know what, it's not my bucket list that because

It's a lot of time, right, So marathon's coming up.

Life to the fullest is not me you have to
run a marathon. I just want to to know that
you don't have to hike of mountain, don't have to
run a marathon, and you can still live life to

that they can do it and do it year after

on what happened, as did our listeners. I think we
were kind of mixed on it. We liked it, but
it wasn't it wasn't overwhelmed, didn't check every single box,
but overall I thought it was good. Hello, Hello morning

Adrian overt Nadick just wanted to chime in about the
White Lotus season finale and the season in general.

I thought it was good.

I definitely cried when I thought Lachlan was dead, and
I wasn't as shocked about everything else. But I want
to say in general, I feel like it was much
darker than the first two, the first being the funniest
for sure, And I hope my flight goes more into
the black comedy part in the next one, because I
didn't laugh as much as this one.

I kind of agree with her definitely. It was a
little bit of a deeper meaning this season.
Speaker 1 (32:39):
Yeah, the hotel manager in season one was my favorite
character of all three seasons.

Guy's suitcase, way to die. So that conversation on the
show this morning led to, you know what shows are
we watching? Now? You know what I mean? Because now
the White Lotus ended? What are some good show that
are coming up that we should watch?

on Max right now? It is The Pit with Noah Wiley.

It's He's so good in this, it's like award winning.

My wife is watching this. She's a nurse, so she's
really into the medical shows and she is raving about it.
It's called The Pit. It's on Max. Yeah.

Wiley's been doing a lot of pressing on it too,
a lot of interviews. Yeah, and I think it is
going to win some awards too.

If you're looking for a good show to watch, if
you haven't watched it yet, Righteous Gemstones just came out
with a new season. It's on HBO and it is hysterical,
awful and hysterical and awkward and just so full of
like great people and it's just unreal if you don't
understand it unless you watch it.

It's so good.
Speaker 2 (33:55):
It's another one I keep hearing about. Yeah, I don't
noticing it a lot. It looks funny too. Yeah. We
also had a discussion about finales, the best and worst
series finales, you know, season finales. You know what if
someonees that are good, some of that are bad.

I think the best season finale that I ever saw
was Breaking Bad. They wrapped everything up, everything sort of
worked in the end and it was really flawless. You
don't see that too much.
Speaker 2 (34:23):
I agree, one of the best shows of all time.
Billy didn't watch that. I might actually start. That's fine.
You know why I want you to because I want
to talk about it with you. Yeah. I want every
day you to come in after watching an episode or
finishing a season and we can chat about it. I'm

Yes, can I want to talk about that. The first
season is the worst one it is, okay, Yeah, you
might watch the first season and be like E, but two, three,
four that it gets better and better and better. All right,
so make sure you check it out.

The series finale that almost put me in my early grave,
no pun intended was The Vampire Diaries or is this cool?
Kids call it vamp Diaries. It was two hours series finale.
I remember, I was by myself. I was more than
ugly crying. I was sobbing. I was heaving. I couldn't breathe.
I had to get my inhaler. It was devastating. It

was one of those you go to bed and like
I couldn't breathe for the night.
Speaker 2 (35:17):
I was terrible. Yeah, I watched The Vampire Diaries. I
didn't ye it was like. I watched it because it
was when I first started dating my wife and she
was really into it. But then I ended up liking it.
It's a vampire show, but it's more for It was
more for teenagers.
Speaker 4 (35:34):
Yeah, you know, it's like a Buffy yeah, like a
buffy Yeah yeah.
Speaker 2 (35:37):
And speaking of movies, the Minecraft movie broke records this weekend,
so many people went, but there was a little bit
of controversy in the theaters with the audience. They were
acting up.

Just so you know before anyone goes to see that
Minecraft movie.

When it comes to a certain part in the movie,
in addition to the screaming and the yelling, they are
throwing food.

My children got covered in French tip and catch up.

I don't like that you don't go to the movies together.
