Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey guys, So welcome back. We're having some fun with
the White Lotus finale last night. We'll talk more about
that later this morning, but the White Lotus finale, because
the show was so popular and we loved it so much,
now we have to focus on what the hell are
we going.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
To watch next? Where do we go from here?
Speaker 1 (00:17):
Well, I'm already watching House of David, which is like
a real biblical story. But I'm liking it. I'm liking
it a lot.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
Actually, what's that on House of David? I believe is HBO? Yeah,
oh no, Prime. Yeah, I'm just going to confirm that
real quick for people. Yeah, it's on Prime. But again,
it's biblical, it's I know.
Speaker 3 (00:41):
I'm looking forward to the Last of Us. It's on
Max and it starts back up again April thirteenth.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
They ran a lot of promos for that last night
during the White Lotus.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
It's Pedro Pascal.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
I did not watch the first season. That's what I'm
going to watch. I have to catch up.
Speaker 3 (00:58):
It's so good. I mean, it's End of Days. You know,
it's a little sci fi ish, but I really like it.
The acting is amazing. And then my other one is
you the fifth and final season of You is April
twenty fourth.
Speaker 2 (01:10):
Okay, April twenty fourth, Okay, I need a show. I
loved you. I need a new show. I finished land Man,
I started Paradise. Yeah, hell hello, I'm two episodes in.
I like it, but I'm not one hundred percent sold.
I got to stay with it, you know, and everybody
loves land Man.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
I can't watch it because after Yellowstone, Michelle canceled Paramount.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
Plus, this is so embarrassing.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
Yeah, if he believes mine, it's I need to come
over to the house, just sign up for it.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
Can I piggyback? You can?
Speaker 3 (01:43):
I say that. I'm still plodding along with Severance.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
Me too, Yet one episode left.
Speaker 4 (01:49):
One episode.
Speaker 2 (01:49):
The finale is great in season two.
Speaker 4 (01:51):
Season two, I have to break up into half hours
because I fall asleep after twenty five minutes. I can't
and I rewind it, and then I fall back asleep,
so there was no point in finding it. I'm on
season and this episode three of season two, I can't
get past it.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
Save it for Saturday mornings. In Sunday mornings, when you
steel energy, good night's sleep, good idea.
Speaker 4 (02:09):
I fell asleep at eleven o'clock in the morning on
Saturday morning, watching it after I slept a full eight hours.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
Yeah, I've never seen this show and I hate it. Well,
you will say the finale, right, the finale of season two?
This some action, Okay, okay, right, there's some action going on.
Speaker 1 (02:24):
Well, you know, last night, all day yesterday they ran
a white Lotus marathon on HBO and the final episode
before the finale ended at ten minutes of nine, and
Michelle said, oh, it's only ten minutes to nine. I said, no,
They'll use this ten minutes to promote all the new shows.
And there were two or three in that collection that
I thought, Oh, I want to see this, So I
(02:44):
want to go back and see that promo.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
If I can't go ahead, No, I have a list
here shows coming in April. Oh good. Lisa mentioned a
couple of them, some other ones hand The Handmaid's Tale
starts tomorrow. Oh on Hulu, Billy, that's season six. All
you caught up?
Speaker 1 (03:00):
Oh yeah, we both, Michelle, I both love that show.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
So tomorrow tomorrow Tomorrow, April eighth, and where's that on?
That's on Hulu?
Speaker 5 (03:09):
Okay?
Speaker 2 (03:10):
And then Black Mirror that comes out on I believe
Thursday on Netflix. Black Mara is good.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
Yeah, that was good.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
You watch that one? Bill? No, I didn't. Who's in that?
What is? It's kind of every episode is different. It's
kind of it's definitely sci fi ish, but it's scary.
You should watch it. It's good you. Lisa mentioned that
April twenty fourth, So there's a lot of good shows coming.
Speaker 4 (03:32):
I want to watch Dope Thief, which is on Apple TV.
I keep seeing that as I'm going to watch Severn,
so that's on my list. Yellow Jackets my sister said
it's really good, So that's on my list. And then
I have to go back and watch season four of
You so I can watch season five when it comes out.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
Has anybody watched Hacks? Yeah? They make a big deal
of that show on Ahbil.
Speaker 3 (03:52):
She always wins all the awards.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
Well, yeah, she's Hollywood's like New Sweetheart. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:57):
It's actually it's very well done, very well written. It's funny.
Yeah you actually I think would like it.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
And that that drops on Thursday.
Speaker 3 (04:05):
Yeah, it's good.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
Season four. They promoted that a lot last night. I
watched on Netflix for for crime thrillers this weekend, The
Gilgo Beach Killer, The Long Island serial killer. How did
I know about this?
Speaker 4 (04:16):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (04:17):
He was a serial killer from the nineties, but then
the bodies got recovered around twenty eleven. Several women were
killed and thumbing he was and they got him a
couple of years ago.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
Yeah, weren't they like sex? Yeah, and he would target them.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
Yeah, but there's so much more that goes into the case.
They ended up getting him and he was an architect. Oh,
he was with a family, two young girls or two daughter,
a son and a daughter.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
I watched the Central Park crime the Jogger, that crime story.
That was pretty good, pretty heavy too though.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
Yeah. They went to jail and they were the boys.
Speaker 4 (04:51):
Yeah, yeah, yes, that's a heavy watch. Yeah, it's real
life story about five young men. Right.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
So I think we got a good list going here.
I can't wait.
Speaker 3 (05:03):
A lot happening in April.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
Yeah yeah, So if anybody has any recommendations, hit us
up on the top back and let us know because
we love watching TV here last night. Weird stories up
next in AI in the news again, this is a
crazy one. That's next.
Speaker 6 (05:19):
Kids one to wait with the Billy and Lisa's weird stories.
Speaker 3 (05:22):
All right, Have you never liked your name, the name
that your parents gave you. Well, a woman named La
says that she has an extremely probably problematic name. She
says she was given the name because her mother wanted
to connect two surnames.
Speaker 7 (05:37):
Her name is La, capital l dot capitola dot. Now
some of the systems don't accept it, so they have
to just put la or some of them except one
dot but not to Some of them don't except to
let us.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
They have to add H the letter. All kinds of madness.
Speaker 7 (05:49):
My name is the most problematic name I think in
this world, Like to the point where my driving license
came back with a picture of a Chinese man on it. Yeah,
with my name, his signature and my address. That type
of problem because the systems just can't understand.
Speaker 3 (06:10):
So it can't understand the L period a period. They
can't understand the period, right, what a nightmare.
Speaker 2 (06:18):
Well, without the periods, it'd be law.
Speaker 5 (06:20):
Right.
Speaker 3 (06:22):
Maybe she should just legally change her name to lad.
Speaker 1 (06:30):
How about this judge goes off and the guy who
showed up in court with a robot lawyer. This guy
was in New York. His name is Jerome de Wald.
He tried to have an AI lawyer defend him in
the court of law, and the judge wasn't having it.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
The appellant has submitted a video. We will hear that
video now, may it please the court?
Speaker 1 (06:49):
I come here today a humble proceedings for a panel
of five distinguished justices.
Speaker 2 (06:54):
Hold on, is that counsel for the case I generated that?
That is not a real person. You did not tell
me that, sir.
Speaker 7 (07:01):
And you have appeared before this court and been able
to testify verbally.
Speaker 2 (07:06):
You are not going to use this.
Speaker 7 (07:08):
Courtroom as a launch for your business.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
So if you are able to shut that off.
Speaker 1 (07:17):
Yeah, yeah, Jerome said, the avatar he generated would do
a better job delivering the argument rather than have him
stumbling over it.
Speaker 2 (07:25):
It's not wrong, right, yeah, I mean that's AI. The
robots had taken over. This is al the AI robot humans.
Remember one thing.
Speaker 8 (07:40):
When the Robots Uprising begins, we love you, Billy.
Speaker 5 (07:47):
Hey.
Speaker 1 (07:47):
Entertainment is up next to White Lotus finale last night.
So Walter Goggins, who plays or played Rick in The
White Lotus was killed last.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
Night, but not before he killed her his own father,
and he will talk about it.
Speaker 1 (08:02):
On this show that's coming up next to entertainment posting.
Speaker 3 (08:07):
It's Megan Trader and you're working up with Billy and
Lisa in the morning.
Speaker 2 (08:10):
I'll kiss one away.
Speaker 3 (08:11):
Hi, Lisa, Why he's so cud?
Speaker 4 (08:15):
I love her?
Speaker 2 (08:15):
She just sounding happy.
Speaker 1 (08:17):
Huh Yeah, all right, Jessy, let's get a couple of
talkbacks in and then we'll talk about the White Lotus finale.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
Yeah. The chickens at my house are growing pretty fast.
They've doubled in size and only about a week another
week or two, they're going to be almost full grown.
Nine little baby chicks. Good morning, It's Maria, straight from
the beautiful light of the Puerto Rico. I live here,
but I listen to you guys every single day.
Speaker 6 (08:39):
Can I just say that I completely.
Speaker 7 (08:40):
Support the whole chicken thing.
Speaker 5 (08:42):
I am trying to catch one in the middle of
the street and let them live in my house, and
I need the eggs.
Speaker 3 (08:48):
But let me tell you, I'm very excited about this
chickens and I can't wait to hear.
Speaker 2 (08:54):
More about them. Well, they're growing up really fast. We
have to put them in a bigger bin, a bigger
bin because they were they're flying now, so eventually they're
gonna get.
Speaker 3 (09:05):
You need a coop.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
So we have to build the coop. They have to
stay indoors, like incubated for six weeks. So we set
up a playpen with a screen on the top because
we have a cat that the chickens. Oh yeah he does.
He hasn't tried. He just stares at them. He's more
curious the coop. I'm really glad you asked that question,
(09:29):
because I don't know.
Speaker 3 (09:30):
You can buy them.
Speaker 2 (09:31):
We can buy it, but then it needs to be
built and dance jam Dave, come on.
Speaker 3 (09:39):
Yeah, he's a good carpenter. Really yeah, I mean he
would drive up to your house.
Speaker 4 (09:43):
Yeah, your wife is the man of the house when
it comes to that.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
So she thinks that she's gonna build it. She will
build it, I know, yeah, really like the framework and
everything else. She says that, well, we have to dig out,
we have to dig into the ground foundation. And now
she wants me to do the digging because you know,
I can landscape. I know I can use a shovel,
but I just can't. I can't. You know, woodworking is
not my thing.
Speaker 3 (10:05):
I'm telling you, I'm telling you, Dave the carpenter, he'll
he'll he'll drive up and help you kids a couple
of dances.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
Well we're not we're not lined up on the size
of the coop. Oh okay, I'm thinking, you know, decent size.
I think she wants a full house with a big
ass coop. You know. The animal's thing is crazy. Now
you know we're gonna have my German's birthdays coming up.
Now we have a full farm coming Oh yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3 (10:36):
It's Curious Curious Creatures. Oh wow, Yeah, the kids love it.
Speaker 1 (10:40):
You're gonna have Lama maybe. You know, it's very cool.
Get an Ostrich.
Speaker 2 (10:45):
They have the.
Speaker 3 (10:46):
Curious Creatures has a python snake that they bring the
kids like that.
Speaker 5 (10:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (10:50):
I have a picture of Riley holding it.
Speaker 2 (10:52):
Oh really?
Speaker 3 (10:53):
Oh yeah, it was like five years old.
Speaker 2 (10:54):
We're Curious Creatures.
Speaker 4 (10:55):
Great, great, great like that before like they have you
all like ten kids hold the snake together.
Speaker 2 (11:01):
Yeah, I can't wait. She's turning three and the theme
is three I.
Speaker 5 (11:05):
E I O.
Speaker 3 (11:07):
Now the entertainment up, David, where the Millie House out?
Speaker 1 (11:10):
It was control all right? Okay, so the White Lotus
finale was last night. We've already ruined it for people
if they hadn't watched last night. We all stayed up,
but we warned you spoiler alert that we were going
to talk about it. Earl, you almost had two so
actor Walter Goggins, who was Rick, and I say was
because he's not alive anymore. On the White Lotus, he
(11:33):
was killed last night alone with his girlfriend Chelsea, she's
the one with the big teeth, but not before he
killed the guy he thought killed his father when it
turns out no, the guy he killed was his father,
and he talked talked about it on CBS.
Speaker 9 (11:51):
Reading it for the first time, I understanding that that
is where we were headed and this that's the Mount
Everest that we were climbing, I knew that it was
going to be a very patient, slow walk to get
to that point. And I sympathized so greatly with Rick's
pain because his entire life story was defined by this
(12:14):
event that you know, he was told by his mother
and the genius of Mike White. In that revelation, Rick
only has a couple of seconds to register it before
he is being fired at.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
Yeah, so he killed the owner of the resort, who
turned out to be his own father, and then guy Talk,
the security guard Kid ended up having to shoot Rick
in the back because the woman owner was yelling at
him because he just killed her husband. Kill him, kill him,
and he shoots Hi two or three times in the
back end. He and Chelsea go into the pond face down.
(12:53):
Am I giving up too much?
Speaker 2 (12:54):
I mean, you gave it all up.
Speaker 1 (12:57):
Well we can talk about the poison shakes. It were
supposed to kill the entire family.
Speaker 3 (13:02):
Well, it actually I think did kill Lachland for like
a mini second. I'm still going.
Speaker 2 (13:08):
Yeah, the younger brother, Lachlan, he said he saw God. Yeah,
which is interesting. They wrote that in they wanted he
wanted us to know that he died and then came back. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (13:18):
The father was freaked out because he's losing everything. He's
probably going to prison when he gets home. So he thought,
you know what, there's no way my family could survive
unless they're filthy rich. So he thought he'd make the
shakes and give the shakes to all of the family
members except Lochlan. But then Lachlan got it by mistake.
He died for a couple of seconds, and then they
(13:39):
brought him back and m.
Speaker 4 (13:41):
I don't know what Dad was so worried about. He'll
be like every other white collar crime. He'll do eight
months at club fed and then have house arrested.
Speaker 2 (13:48):
He'll lose the money. That's his concern was the money
for his family. Yeah, that they were accustomed to the
certain lifestyle.
Speaker 1 (13:53):
And that was left open when in the end, when
they were on the boat and they all got their
cell phones back after the vacation, I was convinced Mike
White was going to right. It's such that one of
them got a text saying that the dad was in
the clear.
Speaker 2 (14:05):
It's all going to be good. Yeah. No, there were
a lot of loose ends that he didn't he did
not tie up.
Speaker 10 (14:09):
One other thing that they didn't really tie up on
the season finale of The White Lotus was that weird
interaction at breakfast between Victoria and Kate where Kate that
she recognized Victoria from somewhere else and she awkwardly denied.
It just seemed odd. They never did much more with that. Yeah,
could that be potentially setting up for the next season.
Speaker 2 (14:29):
Well, Parker Posey was such a hit on this show.
I wouldn't be surprised if they find a way to
bring her back.
Speaker 4 (14:34):
Well, I'm convinced that she knew what was going on.
It has an offshore account that a lot of money,
and that's going to be like the next season and
then are we ever going to see Gary again?
Speaker 2 (14:44):
Yeary? Like is he just a holdover?
Speaker 1 (14:49):
And he gave the spa woman five plus million dollars
in hush money and she took it over love.
Speaker 2 (14:55):
Yeah, and then and then of course they had that
shot of him in the cup chair chair. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (15:01):
I love him now, like he just he survives everything.
Speaker 2 (15:05):
Well, maybe what's the name Harper the mom Victoria? Victoria?
Speaker 1 (15:09):
Maybe she comes back in season four, but she's married
to another really wealthy guy. Anyway, the White Lotus is
over and we'll have to wait, I guess for a
date on season four. Meantime, how about this? It turns
(15:30):
out Woody Harrelson was supposed to get the role as Rick,
the Goggins role, but apparently they couldn't work out the schedule,
so they gave it a Sam Rocket.
Speaker 2 (15:39):
He actually had a vacation plan with his family. Yeah,
it was going to interfere with the shooting, and he
chose the family vacation that. I love Woody. Oh yeah, God,
he would have been a good bad guy. What do
he makes?
Speaker 3 (15:51):
I do think Sam Rockwall did a great job. He
was so creepy. He does creepy well.
Speaker 2 (15:57):
Goggins also said later around in the interview on CBS
this morning that they didn't they did not rehearse that
scene with the Asian girls. Obviously his reaction was genuine.
Speaker 1 (16:09):
Yeah, there's a lot of flesh a.
Speaker 2 (16:14):
Flesh fest. Anyway.
Speaker 1 (16:15):
More of the Coachella lineup announced over the weekend. Ed
Sheeron is going to make a guest appearance the show,
set for April eleventh through the thirteenth. Already in the
Coachella lineup, Lady Guy got Travis Scott, post Malone, Charlie
XCX and that'll probably continue to grow.
Speaker 2 (16:29):
Eminem is a granddad.
Speaker 1 (16:32):
His daughter Hayley had a baby boy the name Elliot
Marshall McClintock.
Speaker 2 (16:37):
Cool. Name that movie.
Speaker 1 (16:38):
A Minecraft movie crushed the box office over the weekend,
taking in just under two hundred million, and audience members,
I guess, are going to see the movie and they're
chanting and yelling and whooping and everything else, and it's annoying.
Some of the other did not happen with one of
the Taylor Swift movies, where people in the audience were
singing along and it was annoying. Some people anyway, that's
(17:00):
minecraft big hit. Mariah Carey had a mom moment over
the weekend. Her son Moroccan was streaming online playing a
video game when suddenly Mariah walked into the room.
Speaker 2 (17:11):
Here we go, What are you all talking about? That's
my sister. I know. I just want to get with Ario. Okay,
y'all need to get out now.
Speaker 4 (17:18):
Just everybody get out.
Speaker 2 (17:19):
Mom, make you see you. You're saying Hi, Mariah, I
love you.
Speaker 10 (17:23):
Oh my god.
Speaker 2 (17:25):
Ms Carrie and we got to talk about this.
Speaker 1 (17:29):
iHeart is taking over the Wheel of Fortune all this
week starting to day or I guess tonight. iHeart and
Wheel of Fortune are merging and it's pretty cool with
incredible prizes like you can go to the iHeart Radio
Music Festival, iHeart Country Music Festival, the iHeart jingle Ball
Tour twenty twenty six iHeart Music Awards, I Mean, and
(17:50):
viewers at home can play too with a chance at
winning prizes like a trip to iHeartRadio Theater Show in
Los Angeles, a trip to Nashville for their Fourth of
July celebration, also a trip to Vegas to see Janet
Jackson in concert. All these are on the prize wheel,
so to speak on Wheel of Fortune starting tonight combining
with us with the iHeartRadio integration. I like that huge
(18:14):
sports weekend. The Yukon women beat South Carolina. They are
the national champions, and there's.
Speaker 11 (18:20):
The buzzer hits in Eden, a dozen Fortino Oriana in Connecticut.
The final page in the Book of Beggars is titled
number twelve for U cat.
Speaker 2 (18:36):
Oh yeah, Coachino.
Speaker 1 (18:38):
Twelve titles the men's final Tonight, Florida Place Houston, Houston
be Duke over the weekend. That was the big upset
and apparently Dave Portnoy lost two hundred thousand dollars.
Speaker 2 (18:47):
He bet Duke.
Speaker 3 (18:49):
I think Duke was tainted because of the white lotus
and there's something going on there.
Speaker 1 (18:56):
You never took off the Duke T shirt, socks, How
about the socks? They won both games with the doubleheader yesterday.
Game one they won five four, Game two they won
eighteen to seven. Celtz beat the Wizards one twenty four
ninety one, and Novechkin beat Gretzki's record eight hundred and
ninety five goals.
Speaker 2 (19:18):
Let's go to the call and then Wilson on the
flank Crossnight Solvetchkin.
Speaker 11 (19:21):
Fires, the Tacic days are done. Ale Sovechkin is the
greatest gold scorer in the history of the NHL.
Speaker 12 (19:35):
And here he was after probably going to need a
couple more days, so it maybe a couple of weeks
to realize.
Speaker 2 (19:41):
What does it mean to be number one? But well,
I can say I'm very proud.
Speaker 1 (19:47):
Yeah, And you know what, Gretzky was there with his
whole family, which added to it, and here he went.
Speaker 13 (19:51):
I broke the record. My two kids were both the
age of his boys, so it's kind of reminiscent for me,
and I'm so happy that two of my boys are
here tonight. But there's nothing better than their national hockey league.
They say records are made to be broken, but I'm
not sure who's going to get more goals than that.
Speaker 1 (20:13):
That's the great one, right there. Doesn't get any better
than that. Gretzky in the stands, so Vechkin doing the
belly slide, the team swarming them. Really cool moments again,
March Madness Tonight. The Men's Final were brought to you

Speaker 2 (20:53):
And there you go. Yeah, Ir Peter Rick, I am
your fault impression Billy and Lisa.
Speaker 1 (21:02):
So with the white lotus over. The question now is
what are we watching next? And we dealt with that
on the show this past how.
Speaker 6 (21:08):
Justin So, me and my husband just started watching The
Studio on Apple TV and it's surprisingly, really really funny.
It's with Seth Rogan, Catherine O'Hare. It's like there's so
many celebrities in it, and it's it's really really funny.
We watched three in a row. It was great. That's
my recommendation.
Speaker 2 (21:29):
Yes, I'm glad you brought this up. I forgot I've
been reading about this show. It has a ninety five
percent of Rotten Tomatoes rating.
Speaker 3 (21:35):
Well, if it's funny, I want to watch it.
Speaker 2 (21:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (21:38):
I saw they ran promos over the weekend. I saw
and I said, oh, this looks interesting.
Speaker 2 (21:41):
Yeah, I'm gonna give it a shot. Yeah, I'm gonna
do that today for sure.
Speaker 14 (21:44):
Funny, a year ago, I had brain surgery and I
don't really remember a lot of movies, so in television shows,
so I've been rewatching them and I'm enjoying them the
second time around.
Speaker 4 (21:57):
This is great. I'm never gonna wrong on content.
Speaker 2 (22:01):
Wow, that's perfect. Yeah, look at that brain surgery. Billied
in that Brain surgery. He doesn't remember one finale exactly.
That's every single one. Everything I watch. It's like I'm
seeing it for the first time. Yeah. Is that like
a gift or a curse? It is a gift, it
is too actually.
Speaker 3 (22:20):
Yeah, in your case, Doubinitely.
Speaker 2 (22:22):
I was watching sixteen candles this week. That's as creepy
as it gets.
Speaker 3 (22:27):
Yeah, that's a call for help from the planet fitness
Kiss one O eight Studios.
Speaker 15 (22:32):
We're back with Villie and Lisa in the morning.
Speaker 2 (22:36):
Hey guys, so welcome back. It's the Billy and Lisa
Morning Show. And I got to share a little bit
of a story.
Speaker 1 (22:41):
When I arrived here to work this morning and open
the computer, I had this big message from the front
office that we were all speed dating today, and I
thought it must have been meant for someone else.
Speaker 3 (22:56):
No, I think that's what we're doing.
Speaker 2 (22:58):
Because I I haven't days did in a long long time.
Does speed dating still exist now?
Speaker 3 (23:05):
I think it's come back around. I used to host
speed dating things like back in the day.
Speaker 2 (23:09):
Really yeah, like for.
Speaker 3 (23:10):
The radio station, like it's City Winery fifteen years ago.
Yeah that you still like have these people would come
in and like they you know, hire the radio station whatever.
But yeah, but I've read recently that it's come back
around again.
Speaker 2 (23:20):
Oh yeah, Oh, so what you're saying is we're cool again.
Speaker 6 (23:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (23:27):
I mean it's definitely I think people trying to meet
in person more so, that's what it's about, right, But.
Speaker 3 (23:31):
You have to get the backstory. This is like with
our sales department.
Speaker 2 (23:34):
Yeah, we're not dating.
Speaker 3 (23:35):
Yeah, and with and with talent. So it's basically like,
because we have a lot of people and a lot
of radio stations, it's just an easy way for people
to sort of like quickly you know, present themselves, figure.
Speaker 2 (23:46):
Out who people are, because when you think that.
Speaker 3 (23:49):
They can sell us in a better, more you know,
efficient way.
Speaker 1 (23:52):
Yeah, most of us on the Billion and List, the
morning show probably don't know the names of half the
people in the building don't, right, So maybe this makes
a lot of sense.
Speaker 3 (24:02):
I don't think. But I don't think we are going
to be sitting in front of another on air host
from another radio station.
Speaker 2 (24:09):
No, but we're mixing it up with sales people, right exactly.
Speaker 4 (24:13):
It's getting to know the other department basically. I mean
we leave early, we're here early, we leave early. Most
people are just coming in as we're leaving, when not
necessarily the most social people you would shocking enough.
Speaker 2 (24:23):
I'm social. I'm very I'm very social. You talk to
one series, I'm just intimidated looking. Yeah, you talked to Sarah. No,
I love am I going to get Sarah and speak
and she's closest to us.
Speaker 4 (24:39):
That's why you go right there.
Speaker 2 (24:42):
Yeah, it's it's so we can get to know each other,
the talent us and the sales and because they sell us,
we work with them to sell us.
Speaker 1 (24:50):
Right works, because I don't know anybody's name back then, Ye,
they'll represent us.
Speaker 2 (24:55):
Yeah, And you sit down bill in front of them
and introduce yourself and they say, Hi, how are you.
Speaker 4 (25:02):
Gonna get so offendive they don't know who he is.
Speaker 12 (25:04):
Well, well that really happened weeks ago. Yeah really no,
I know, like ten minute conversation and they said, and
you are I.
Speaker 2 (25:17):
Just did a record just like that, and you are
excuse me? I got to work.
Speaker 1 (25:23):
Boy, So yeah, you know what I mean, there's gonna
be a little melting here.
Speaker 2 (25:28):
I think I.
Speaker 4 (25:29):
Feel like a lot of jobs do these kind of
team building things. They just call them different things, you
know what I mean. Like, I mean, I think people
that are listening can can relate to these type of things,
like the pot luck and like the outing together to
get a bonding.
Speaker 2 (25:44):
The retreat right at the summer.
Speaker 3 (25:48):
I've been on work retreats before. They're very helpful in
team building. Don't look like everybody you were going to
take it today.
Speaker 2 (26:02):
I can't even believe that. Really. Yeah, all the chairs
are set up all across the studio, like speed dating,
across from each other. Yeah, so this is like ropper room.
This is going on.
Speaker 4 (26:13):
Yeah, really, I think like you haven't come up in
a conventional job setting. So like we have like one
meeting a week. We have meetings, you know, people have
meetings all day long. That's all they do is have meetings.
He's mad that we have one meeting a week.
Speaker 1 (26:24):
Oh, my TV shows, you have no idea. They meet
like fifty times a day. Never see fifteen times.
Speaker 3 (26:31):
Yeah, you have a unique perspective. Yeah, most people, this
is what they do.
Speaker 5 (26:35):
Well.
Speaker 2 (26:35):
Jenny Johnson loves meetings.
Speaker 4 (26:37):
Yeah, but I think you've been spoiled to not have
to go to a lot of meetings and do things
you don't want to do. I thank Jenny for that,
but I'm just saying no, your whole career, like back
when you start in radio, they weren't doing speed dating
at ten o'clock in the morning.
Speaker 2 (26:50):
But here's the thing.
Speaker 1 (26:51):
Part of me really thinks they don't tell me about
meetings in my TV world because they're afraid.
Speaker 2 (26:57):
They're afraid of what I'm going to say. Well, you
are bit of a crazy person. Yeah, and they know that.
So I think you've benefited from that. But this is good,
right list, This is a good this is a good thing.
It's a positive thing. Absolutely, you know. Just sit down,
introduce yourself.
Speaker 3 (27:11):
That's it, and you are Gina China, what's up?
Speaker 2 (27:15):
Nothing?
Speaker 1 (27:16):
I want to be real honest with you.
Speaker 3 (27:18):
It's been a long time since I've been with a man.
Spent a lot of time with the ladies.
Speaker 2 (27:23):
Looking to get back up on that poto stick.
Speaker 4 (27:26):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (27:27):
Excuse me, Okay, it's not a dating like they're serving booze.
Speaker 5 (27:34):
Here.
Speaker 2 (27:34):
Yeah, come Lisa, kiss one. Oh, justin.
Speaker 1 (27:38):
I got to believe the talkbackers are lined up and
ready to talk.
Speaker 14 (27:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (27:41):
Reminder, you can always join the show, be a talkbacker,
part of the talkback mafia. You do that on the
iHeartRadio app. When you're listening to Kiss want to wait,
look for that little red microphone there that you pressed.
You can join in on the conversation. A couple of
minutes ago, we were talking about the speed dating event
we're doing here at the radio station or essentially us.
You know, all the their people are going to be
doing a speed dating not really dating, but getting to
(28:03):
know the sales department to hopefully get some sales and
you know, good things.
Speaker 3 (28:08):
You should definitely mingle it up.
Speaker 14 (28:09):
Maybe in October you'll be winning the costume contest like
you've been trying to do for years.
Speaker 2 (28:16):
Well that's a source of talking about me.
Speaker 3 (28:21):
Well, okay, not because I haven't tried.
Speaker 2 (28:25):
Yeah, oh no, the effort is there, right, It's just
we don't know why you've been snubbed every single year,
and it's far. I have the best costume every year.
Speaker 3 (28:34):
Yeah painful.
Speaker 2 (28:35):
Yeah, one year you were Kim Kardashian, you were Barbie
what else? Carpenter yea and astronaut. Yeah, we don't know
what is but this could be your chance to get
it in the good side. Okay, get their.
Speaker 3 (28:48):
Vote, put myself out there.
Speaker 2 (28:50):
Yeah, schmooth them yeah, schmooz them up. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (28:53):
Good morning, mining crew and reporting from DC. You really
want to go away? I always leave a little top back.
Unfortunately when I have to go today, the winter is
as bad as Boston. We did have a great weekend
handle I was here for a race, taking of races.
I was touching up with Lisa. She was telling me
on her running progress. So Lisa, when we were running.
Speaker 3 (29:17):
Oh is that Gigi. Yeah, she came to my book club.
She's a marathoner.
Speaker 5 (29:21):
Yep. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (29:22):
I've been doing some work with Soccany, the shoe company,
great running shoes. I'm up to like eight miles.
Speaker 4 (29:28):
Wow, that's great.
Speaker 3 (29:29):
But I told her I can't do any more. Than that,
like maybe, yeah, well maybe I could do like a
you know, like a ten miler, but there's I don't
think there's any way I could ever do anything more. Yeah,
that's in August.
Speaker 2 (29:42):
You have to you have to build up, right, Billy.
You have to do you know, ten miles. It's a job. Yeah. Yeah,
it's a lot of time. Is that you want to
do a marathon?
Speaker 3 (29:52):
You know what, it's not my bucket list that because
like what you said, it's too much time.
Speaker 2 (29:55):
It's a lot of time, right, So marathon's coming up.
Speaker 4 (30:00):
Life to the fullest is not me you have to
run a marathon. I just want to to know that
you don't have to hike of mountain, don't have to
run a marathon, and you can still live life to
the fullest.
Speaker 3 (30:07):
Yeah, run very happy. I mean no, no shade on
the people that do it. Like it's like the fact
that they can do it and do it year after
year is like unbelievable.
Speaker 4 (30:15):
But but do you know you don't have to run
a marathon? Like you don't know.
Speaker 1 (30:18):
I've run a bunch and I don't even recommend that
you a marathon. Yeah, it comes crazy.
Speaker 2 (30:24):
Here's a question real quick. So if you run run
eight miles, okay, you know, you get runners high?
Speaker 5 (30:29):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (30:29):
Do you get the same high if you run twenty
miles or twenty six miles you get a better high.
Speaker 3 (30:35):
I think it's probably about the same, probably the.
Speaker 2 (30:37):
Same, That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (30:38):
I think when you're doing a marathon, if anything, you
start getting mental fatigue, Like twenty miles in twenty.
Speaker 4 (30:44):
Listen, if I can run a mile, I'm high off that.
All right. You run a mile, run to one or
two miles, that's.
Speaker 2 (30:51):
A high, all right. I do incline walking high as
a kikee. Yeah, on a treadmill, I just put the
incline up and I walk them high. Yep.
Speaker 4 (30:58):
If I can jog to the mail box, I'm happy.
Speaker 1 (31:01):
Hey you want creatine, I am, yeah, and you should too.
My wife said I have to start taking creatine. Not
that I have to, but I should.
Speaker 2 (31:07):
No, there's there's a lot of studies that have come
out that it was always looked at as a muscle
building supplement, but there's also a lot of cognitive benefits,
good for the brain, good for women to absolutely creatine.
Let's get a couple of gallons. Yeah, knows, you need
the brain help. Definitely all right. The White Lotus finale
was last night. We broke it all down on the
(31:27):
show this morning, so if you haven't got a chance
to watch it, you might want to tune up with
the wrap up. We'll you know, get our thoughts again
in you guys thoughts as well the wrap up next kids.
Speaker 3 (31:39):
It's the morning wrap up on Billy and Lisa in
the morning.
Speaker 2 (31:43):
Okay, if you have not watched the White Lotus finale
last night, please turn down your radio. You don't have
to change the station just a couple of minutes, because
we reviewed the finale last night, gave us our thoughts
on what happened, as did our listeners. I think we
were kind of mixed on it. We liked it, but
it wasn't it wasn't overwhelmed, didn't check every single box,
but overall I thought it was good. Hello, Hello morning
(32:06):
Morning crew.
Speaker 15 (32:06):
Adrian overt Nadick just wanted to chime in about the
White Lotus season finale and the season in general.
Speaker 4 (32:13):
I thought it was good.
Speaker 15 (32:14):
I definitely cried when I thought Lachlan was dead, and
I wasn't as shocked about everything else. But I want
to say in general, I feel like it was much
darker than the first two, the first being the funniest
for sure, And I hope my flight goes more into
the black comedy part in the next one, because I
didn't laugh as much as this one.
Speaker 3 (32:34):
I kind of agree with her definitely. It was a
little bit of a deeper meaning this season.
Speaker 1 (32:39):
Yeah, the hotel manager in season one was my favorite
character of all three seasons.
Speaker 3 (32:43):
Oh when he pooped on the floor.
Speaker 2 (32:45):
Guy's suitcase, way to die. So that conversation on the
show this morning led to, you know what shows are
we watching? Now? You know what I mean? Because now
the White Lotus ended? What are some good show that
are coming up that we should watch?
Speaker 16 (33:01):
If anyone is going to watch any great series that's
on Max right now? It is The Pit with Noah Wiley.
Speaker 5 (33:09):
He even is like the executive.
Speaker 10 (33:11):
Producer of it, and he's from Er if you remember.
Speaker 6 (33:17):
It's He's so good in this, it's like award winning.
Speaker 2 (33:21):
My wife is watching this. She's a nurse, so she's
really into the medical shows and she is raving about it.
It's called The Pit. It's on Max. Yeah.
Speaker 10 (33:29):
Noa.
Speaker 2 (33:29):
Wiley's been doing a lot of pressing on it too,
a lot of interviews. Yeah, and I think it is
going to win some awards too.
Speaker 8 (33:34):
If you're looking for a good show to watch, if
you haven't watched it yet, Righteous Gemstones just came out
with a new season. It's on HBO and it is hysterical,
awful and hysterical and awkward and just so full of
like great people and it's just unreal if you don't
understand it unless you watch it.
Speaker 4 (33:54):
It's so good.
Speaker 2 (33:55):
It's another one I keep hearing about. Yeah, I don't
noticing it a lot. It looks funny too. Yeah. We
also had a discussion about finales, the best and worst
series finales, you know, season finales. You know what if
someonees that are good, some of that are bad.
Speaker 17 (34:09):
I think the best season finale that I ever saw
was Breaking Bad. They wrapped everything up, everything sort of
worked in the end and it was really flawless. You
don't see that too much.
Speaker 2 (34:23):
I agree, one of the best shows of all time.
Billy didn't watch that. I might actually start. That's fine.
You know why I want you to because I want
to talk about it with you. Yeah. I want every
day you to come in after watching an episode or
finishing a season and we can chat about it. I'm
starting this afternoon. How's that awesome?
Speaker 3 (34:40):
I watched the first season?
Speaker 2 (34:41):
Yes, can I want to talk about that. The first
season is the worst one it is, okay, Yeah, you
might watch the first season and be like E, but two, three,
four that it gets better and better and better. All right,
so make sure you check it out.
Speaker 16 (34:51):
The series finale that almost put me in my early grave,
no pun intended was The Vampire Diaries or is this cool?
Kids call it vamp Diaries. It was two hours series finale.
I remember, I was by myself. I was more than
ugly crying. I was sobbing. I was heaving. I couldn't breathe.
I had to get my inhaler. It was devastating. It
(35:13):
was one of those you go to bed and like
I couldn't breathe for the night.
Speaker 2 (35:17):
I was terrible. Yeah, I watched The Vampire Diaries. I
didn't ye it was like. I watched it because it
was when I first started dating my wife and she
was really into it. But then I ended up liking it.
It's a vampire show, but it's more for It was
more for teenagers.
Speaker 4 (35:34):
Yeah, you know, it's like a Buffy yeah, like a
buffy Yeah yeah.
Speaker 2 (35:37):
And speaking of movies, the Minecraft movie broke records this weekend,
so many people went, but there was a little bit
of controversy in the theaters with the audience. They were
acting up.
Speaker 17 (35:47):
Just so you know before anyone goes to see that
Minecraft movie.
Speaker 8 (35:50):
When it comes to a certain part in the movie,
in addition to the screaming and the yelling, they are
throwing food.
Speaker 3 (35:57):
My children got covered in French tip and catch up.
Speaker 2 (36:01):
Have a good date.
Speaker 4 (36:03):
I don't like that you don't go to the movies together.
Speaker 2 (36:06):
All righty movie, that's messy food. Let me tell you.
