So it's very very new.

Speaker 10 (11:45):
We were in the final mix up until like two
weeks before it was on Hulu, so it's very new.

Speaker 8 (11:50):
I don't think I've really had a chance.

Speaker 6 (11:51):
To even like think about it.

Speaker 12 (11:54):

and the Thunder and the Pacers have a Game one
of the NBA Finals this coming Thursday night. David Andrews
got emotional yesterday as he announced his retirement.

Speaker 3 (12:35):
From the whole career.

Speaker 11 (12:37):
If I had been surrounded by the best team anyone
could ask for, so today I'd like to show my
gratitude to those who sacrificed and helped me. The memories
that we've made on the field, but more importantly off
the field, will always hold a special place in my heart.

Speaker 3 (12:54):
What a nice guy.

Speaker 5 (12:54):
Do you remember we went to the bowling event and
he came over to us talk to us for a while.

Speaker 7 (12:59):
Yeah. Mac Jones blew us off and David definitely blew
us off. Yeah he did not. He sat and talked
with us for a while. Really really great guy.

Speaker 8 (13:06):
Do you guys ever notice how linemen just shrink as
soon as they retire? Yes, faked but as soon as
they're like, take this weight off me.

Speaker 7 (13:16):
Well, you know what David Andrews explained to me how
it works with the weight limits with the players. For
every pound they go over, if they're over the weight
that they're allotted, they have to pay fines.

Speaker 3 (13:26):
Wow.

Speaker 8 (13:27):
But with then the opposite, don't thin to be a
certain minimum weight to be a lineman?

Speaker 7 (13:30):
Yeah, maybe that's the minimum. Yeah max, But he said,
as soon as the season's over, he's pounding bears, he's
eating fried chicken.

Speaker 8 (13:38):
He looks very slender, looks good.

Speaker 12 (13:40):
Well.

Speaker 3 (13:40):
Shout outs to David Andrews. We like him. I hope
he enjoys his retirement.

Speaker 5 (13:44):
Meantime, Stefan Diggs finally showed up at the Patriots Ota yesterday.
Offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels.

Speaker 13 (13:51):
He's here today and we're excited to have an opportunity
to work with the guys that are out here and
available to us. So I know he's staying up on
the information and the material and there's so many, so
many things and opportunities for us to teach all our
guys going forward between the rest of the practices here
in the spring and then going into the summer. And

(14:12):
and you know the many days we had before we
actually kicked the ball off in September.

Speaker 5 (14:16):
Wasn't there talk just a few days ago the Patriots
might get rid of Stefan Diggs?

Speaker 3 (14:22):
Make that up.

Speaker 7 (14:22):
There's been some rumblings, yeah, just some theories that he'll
never play one game.

Speaker 5 (14:27):
Really he's very good, just like there are theories that
Belichick will never coach one game.

Speaker 7 (14:34):
But he did. He did post something with Cardi b
Heart's working on him.

Speaker 6 (14:38):
Well, yeah, they went, well, she's trying to stick.

Speaker 3 (14:53):
I know, I know, yeah, thank you.

Speaker 5 (14:56):
Uh Rapper Fat Joe says he bailed Justin Bieber out
of jail.

Speaker 14 (15:03):
He starts telling me he's a gangst Joe. I went
to Joe at this, I said, Yo, Justin, listen, will
you gotta stop like this not not straight up, you
gotta stop like we don't want you gangster. We want
you singing baby baby, we want you to succeed. You're
Justin Bieber. My daughter worships you, we all love you.

(15:23):
And that kind of messed up my relationship with him
at that moment because he really was like felt like,
you know, yo, this guy, you know, I'm the funk killer.

Speaker 3 (15:36):
A lot of people worried about Justin Bieber.

Speaker 8 (15:39):
I didn't realize this was like over ten years old
that he bailed them out of jail. I didn't know
they were even that close for him to bail out
in jail.

Speaker 3 (15:46):
They don't forget.

Speaker 5 (15:47):
The scuper Bowl starts today on the City Hall Plaza.
We had Jerry from Benny Jerry's on the show in
the studio yesterday. It's going right through Thursday.

Speaker 6 (15:56):
And tickets start at fifteen dollars.

Speaker 3 (15:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (15:58):
It all goes for Dana Farber much so it's a
good cost to scuper Bowl starting today, I believe at
noon and goes till eight o'clock today tomorrow and again
on Thursday. And we're brought to you by Dover Rug
and Home. You know, Dover Rug will actually come to
your house with all the rugs you like. They'll lay
them on the floor right there in front of you.

(16:18):
In this way, you can see them in its place
at your house before you make any decisions on a
final rug. Dover Rug you'll find them in Natick, Boston, Burlington,
or you can just go to doverrug dot com and
there you go.

weekend song and then just hit us up on the talkback,
tell us why you feel connected to the weekend, you
love the weekend, and you might win tickets to see him.

Speaker 3 (17:04):
At Jilytte doesn't come any easier.

Speaker 6 (17:07):
It's best summer ever.

Speaker 5 (17:08):
Next week's is gonna come. You're gonna say, God, I
can't believe that I can get tickets for the weekend.
Now is your shot, your easiest shot? Yeah, to get
tickets for the weekend. Let's get some talk backs in.
I just want to add the key there is you
have to be listening on the app. Yes, you can't
if you're listening on your irregular radio. To enter the contest,
you have to leave a talkback on the iHeart app,
don't forget about that. And also on the iHeart app
you can of course join the talkbacks, join the conversation,

(17:30):
chime in, by the way, any time of day that's
in the morning when we're live, that's in the afternoon
or even.

kid is I remember and I deal with just with
my son. I remember being a kid who wanted to

Yeah, it's so true.

Speaker 4 (19:07):
But I have to say Max was telling me he
was like he remembers when he was like six, seven,
eight years old going to other graduation parties for relatives
and friends, and then he said to me, goes, I
can't believe that now it's.

Speaker 3 (19:19):
Me, it's his party.

Speaker 7 (19:20):
Yeah, we remember.

Speaker 16 (19:22):
Hi, this is Riley Donovan and you're listening to the
madd In the Morning show.

Speaker 7 (19:27):
I kiss want to wait, imagine that I remember recording
that with him.

Speaker 6 (19:33):
Yeah, so young yeap, going into high school.

Speaker 7 (19:37):
Yep. So big week for the Donovans and Uncle Mark
is coming. Do we hear that?

Speaker 6 (19:42):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (19:42):
Uncle Mark? Yeah.

Speaker 9 (19:43):
So I'm so excited to hear that Uncle Mark is
coming up for the weekend. And I hope you guys
get him into the studio and talk with him and
just hear his like Shenanigan stories. Very exciting Uncle Mark President.
I love that guy.

Speaker 3 (20:02):
Now, what do we have to do to get Uncle
Mark in studio? But we need to send a car.

Speaker 4 (20:07):
Well, they're coming in on Thursday from Maine, so maybe
he could the Friday show earlier. Well, they got to
get to graduation.

Speaker 8 (20:16):
You know what, maybe at the party least you'll be busy.
Maybe justin I will be tasked with getting some type
of interview with him, or you know, some type of
information out of him. Okay, I'll do it.

Speaker 7 (20:26):
I never got an invite to whatever you're talking about.

Speaker 8 (20:28):
You never did to Max's lunch just six. She told us,
like two months ago.

Speaker 7 (20:33):
I never got an invite. It's okay, you probably forgot.
It's okay, I'm sure you got an.

Speaker 8 (20:36):
Yeah you did, she told us.

Speaker 7 (20:37):
All, we all got a calendar.

Speaker 8 (20:39):
That's okay, June sixth one o'clock.

Speaker 7 (20:42):
Cannot make it.

Speaker 3 (20:43):
It's a one. I thought it was one thirty.

Speaker 17 (20:45):
That was one.

Speaker 7 (20:45):
All right, Well sorry, I'm there in spirit.

Speaker 6 (20:49):
Okay, yeah, whatever. You can come at twelve thirty one
o'clock whenever.

Speaker 3 (20:54):
Wait, what time is it?

Speaker 7 (20:55):
I thought one?

Speaker 6 (20:56):
It's at one?

Speaker 9 (20:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (20:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (20:58):
A lot of souare is going on this week boy.

Speaker 6 (21:00):
Yeah, there's a lot going on.

Speaker 3 (21:01):
You've got bathing suit parties, red dress parties, and everything's
going down in Milton.

Speaker 7 (21:07):
So is Uncle Mark staying for the whole weekend?

Speaker 6 (21:11):
He's no, No, they're going back up to me.

Speaker 7 (21:14):
Oh so he's coming down for the Yeah, staying over.

Speaker 4 (21:16):
Night and then we'll maybe stay every night Friday and
then go back up on something.

Speaker 7 (21:20):
Will he come in the morning you think.

Speaker 6 (21:21):
I don't know? I can ask him.

Speaker 3 (21:23):
That'd be awesome.

Speaker 8 (21:24):
This man has worked a nightclub shift for his entire life.
He's closing bars out at two am. I'm gonna bet
he won't.

Speaker 3 (21:31):
Get up, and he wants to be on this show.
He loves it. Come on, Uncle Mark, let's do it.

Speaker 6 (21:36):
I'll come.

Speaker 4 (21:37):
Yeah, you might have to like move his trip up.
So he's here Thursday morning.

Speaker 3 (21:41):
Is he bringing any of the girls with him?

Speaker 6 (21:43):
His wife?

Speaker 9 (21:43):
Oh?

Speaker 7 (21:46):
Is he bringing Mabel? Remember Mabel?

Speaker 6 (21:49):
I don't know.

Speaker 7 (21:50):
All right, we look forward to that.

Speaker 6 (21:52):
Billy and Lisa every morning.

Speaker 5 (21:54):
Just want to wait, man, a little paramore to get
you going right there. That's a gem, always.

Speaker 3 (21:58):
Has been, always will be.

Speaker 12 (21:59):
You know it?

Speaker 3 (22:01):
Okay?

Speaker 5 (22:01):
Speaking of music, Speaking of songs, it's about this time
of the year everybody starts speculating on what the song
of summer that year should be. Lisa, I think of
you as the lyric as the musical expert on the show.
So what would you suggest as candidates so far for
twenty twenty five summer?

Speaker 4 (22:19):
Okay, So I put a little list together of what
we have going on right now now again, Sabrina Carpenter
was last year's song of Summer for Espresso, So big
shoes to fill here, big shoes. What I want is
the new Morgan Wall and Tate McCrae song. I really
like that song.

Speaker 6 (22:35):
We just started playing it last week. It's a good song.

Speaker 4 (22:37):
It's a little slow maybe for song of summer. So
then I turned to Benson Boone, so he has sorry
I'm here for someone Else. And then he also has
mystical magical, Right, mystical Magical.

Speaker 8 (22:48):
I like that one. I think it's a little more
summary mystical magical.

Speaker 3 (22:52):
Yeah, yeahs justin your thoughts.

Speaker 7 (22:54):
I'm going with Sorry I'm here for someone Else. I
think it's a bigger hit.

Speaker 5 (22:57):
You know, when I first saw the title of that song,
I fell in love with What a cool name for
a song, Sorry I'm Here for someone Else.

Speaker 4 (23:03):
The other slow roller could be role model Sally when
the wine runs out?

Speaker 6 (23:09):
Wow, rightly.

Speaker 7 (23:12):
It was on the countdown last week and then it
fell off this week, but that has happened before and
it could make a comeback.

Speaker 5 (23:18):
I think it could be song of Summer if it
was anybody butt role model.

Speaker 3 (23:28):
Yes, yeah, you never know. How about Ozzie Zomb good one?

Speaker 7 (23:34):
Yeah, Ozzie Zom is a good one. He has a
new single dropping Friday, Oh teaz yesterday. Remember yes, it's
called Sapphire, has more of an island vibe.

Speaker 3 (23:42):
Forget Ozzi Zom. I'm all abouts.

Speaker 7 (23:44):
Dropping that closer to summer.

Speaker 4 (23:46):
Say, okay, so we need to talk about Subrina Carpenter
because yesterday she posted on her Instagram this really cryptic
little story where she's in these really tiny little jean
shorts standing on the side of the road hitchhiking and
no one picking her up. And then she released all
of these cryptic billboards all over the West Coast with
like like song titles like Amen Manchild Heymn. So they're

(24:11):
speculating that maybe she's going to be dropping some new
music just in time for something.

Speaker 3 (24:16):
What Interstate was where the billboards.

Speaker 6 (24:18):
On sixty nine?

Speaker 8 (24:21):
What an interesting placement.

Speaker 7 (24:22):
And by the way, who is not picking up Sabrina
Carpenter I first car that.

Speaker 3 (24:28):
Comes along, you know, it's like, okay, I got you covered.

Speaker 5 (24:30):
I'll ride to Canada if you want.

Speaker 7 (24:33):
I gotta go into the Kiss Went Away Archives here.
I wonder if the same artist has had the song
of Summer two years in a row, because she had
Espresso last year, right.

Speaker 8 (24:44):
Not in recent memory. I can't think of because we
were looking back to twenty twenty three.

Speaker 4 (24:48):
How about do Alipa because she do a Lipa had
Dance the Night Away with Barbie and then did she
have one prior to that?

Speaker 7 (24:55):
I don't think it was back to back years. I'd
have to check.

Speaker 8 (24:58):
Yeah, No, I'm not sure.

Speaker 5 (25:00):
Is there a cutoff date or something for declaring the
song of summer? Well, and has a song ever fully
declared the song of summer?

Speaker 7 (25:09):
Yeah, but you know, different places named different songs obviously.
You know Donna Jaymon's gonna have a different song for
summer than us.

Speaker 8 (25:17):
Summer starts June officially, like June twentieth or something like that.
But isn't the unofficial start of summer after Memorial Day? Yeah,
so we're kind of in it.

Speaker 7 (25:26):
Yeah. Some other mentions that could be that could possibly
be Gracie Abrams, what about Scissor's BMF. Yeah, Tate McCrae
sports car, the.

Speaker 6 (25:34):
Kidder Roy releasing anything soon? We tease something a while.

Speaker 7 (25:38):
He keeps teasing things very cryptically. That song girls, Oh yeah,
that's that's older. Yeah, he's teasing new music now, but
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (25:46):
Hasn't it become a bit of a tag along?

Speaker 8 (25:49):
He's changed plus one Biaber too.

Speaker 7 (25:52):
He's with Biber all the time.

Speaker 5 (25:54):
Yeah, he's got to get back to doing his own thing.

Speaker 3 (25:58):
He's carrying someone else his suitcases, Billy.

Speaker 8 (26:01):
You heard him when you interviewed him. He's so in love.

Speaker 7 (26:04):
Oh yeah, they were in Paris recently. Yeah, yeah, Tagle,
that's how buddy, what's up busting this sekiller Roy?

Speaker 16 (26:09):
And you're waking up with Billy and Lisa in the
morning on Kiss one Away, Lisa, how you doing?

Speaker 3 (26:14):
Yeah anytime.

Speaker 2 (26:20):
Now it's topic time with Billy and Lisa in the morning.

Speaker 5 (26:24):
And this morning we're kind of speculating on what the
song of summer twenty twenty five should be.

Speaker 3 (26:30):
It is topic time. Let's start with the phones and
good morning Jewel from Arlington.

Speaker 1 (26:36):
Hi, it's Julie.

Speaker 3 (26:38):
Julie. Okay, Julie, what have you got for his song
of summer?

Speaker 15 (26:44):
I think that the MGK song Cliche that he just
put out is a great song for summer.

Speaker 7 (26:49):
Yes, yes, yes, yes, we haven't we're not playing the
song yet, but it is very catchy. I might add
it to my jams this week. This is a good
good pick there, Julie, you got a clip I do.
So what's interesting about this is MGK. You know he
was a rapper yep, then he was a pop punk artist.

Speaker 10 (27:06):
Right.

Speaker 7 (27:06):
He had a big song on Kiss and now he's
like a pop star. Songs called Cliche. You got a
whole dance that goes along with it. We were talking
about line dances earlier. Yeah, there's a dance that goes
along with it, a little two step dance. Okay, video
is actually pretty good.

Speaker 3 (27:19):
Does he still have all the tats or is he
getting rid of his.

Speaker 7 (27:21):
So both of his arms in his chest completely black? Yeah, no,
like like a shirt. Yes, he colored every inch of
his skin on his arms in his chest. He's a
weird dude. That's a good song. You're gonna hear a
lot more of that song. It just just came out
nine days ago.

Speaker 8 (27:35):
I don't know how much morel here.

Speaker 7 (27:36):
So yeah, I'm telling you go listen. Okay, hold on
a second, hold on, hold on.

Speaker 15 (27:42):
You gotta love Winny this morning, spreading joy and positivity
wherever she goes.

Speaker 7 (27:46):
Yeah, there you go.

Speaker 18 (27:48):
I know there's a certain like quah of summer songs
that none of the songs that are released right now have.
Like when I think back to the most iconic summer
songs like Watermelon Sugar but Harry Styles or get like
by dath Punk or Blurred Lines or Rude by Magic,
Like the list goes on and on, Like there's a
certain like I'm so excited to drive to the beach

(28:10):
elements to those songs that like, none of the songs
that are released right now have and I'm kind of
worried about it.

Speaker 4 (28:15):
She's so right, That's why I Danced the Night Away
by Dua Lipa again, Espresso. They all have that thing
that gets you like, Okay, let's go.

Speaker 6 (28:24):
Out and have some fun.

Speaker 7 (28:25):
Did she say rude?

Speaker 17 (28:26):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (28:26):
Yeah that song?

Speaker 7 (28:32):
All right, Well let's go down memory lane here. So
last year the song of summer on Kiss one to
Wait was Sabrina Coppinger's Espresso. That's a drive to the
B song. Yeah. Twenty twenty three, Cruel Summer Taylor Swift.

Speaker 8 (28:43):
Isn't the irony that song was released before twenty twenty
because of the pandemic?

Speaker 18 (28:47):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (28:47):
Yeah, twenty twenty two, Lisa Harry Styles as it was.

Speaker 3 (28:50):
So, Harry Styles has had two songs of summer.

Speaker 7 (28:52):
There Watermelon Sugar. Yeah. But twenty twenty one, good for you,
Olivia Rodriguez.

Speaker 3 (28:58):
Where'd she go?

Speaker 7 (28:59):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (29:01):
Really?

Speaker 6 (29:01):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (29:02):
What have we gotten anything new from Olivia Rodrigo?

Speaker 7 (29:05):
It's what they do. This is what Harry Styles is
doing right now. If they do an album, a tour,
they a couple of years off record, a new album
come back.

Speaker 3 (29:11):
Yeah, she did one of those really long tours too,
like exactly, Taylor Smith.

Speaker 16 (29:16):
Yeah, yeah, Billie Eilish, Sabrina Carpenter, Benson Boone. Guys, you
can't make me choose, but I'm gonna I'm gonna have
to go with Benson Boone.

Speaker 12 (29:24):
Sorry, I'm here for someone else.

Speaker 3 (29:26):
Love that song.

Speaker 12 (29:27):
It makes me want to dance anytime I hear it, when.

Speaker 16 (29:30):
It's six in the morning, twelve o'clock at night, I
don't care I hear that song, I'm dancing. But shout
out to Sabrina Carpenter, Billie Alish, shot out to all
of them.

Speaker 12 (29:39):
They're amazing, and you guys are too.

Speaker 3 (29:42):
Have you ever said that to another person? Sorry, I'm
here for someone else.

Speaker 6 (29:47):
It's a good song.

Speaker 7 (29:48):
Now, it's a great song.

Speaker 3 (29:49):
Great song.

Speaker 7 (29:50):
Yeah, that's that's actually I think in my top contenders. Yeah,
for Song of Summer. Okay, it's very it's very catchy.
Definitely up there.

Speaker 6 (29:56):
Yeah, I still don't have my song though. Yeah, I
have to say, I have to be honest.

Speaker 7 (30:01):
Yeah, Well, we'll see how it goes through the summer.

Speaker 19 (30:02):
You know, Good morning morning crew. I'm just listening to how
you're discussing the songs of summer and I'm a proud
millennial and I saw something online that millennials love Tate
mccree's sports car because it sounds like pussy Cat dolls buttons.
Definitely take a listen to that.

Speaker 12 (30:20):
Love you guys have good morning.

Speaker 7 (30:21):
This is a Instagram.

Speaker 3 (30:22):
I'm still rooting for Edge Sharon Sapphire.

Speaker 7 (30:26):
Summer Sound, the new one.

Speaker 3 (30:28):
Yeah, oh interesting summer sound for sure.

Speaker 7 (30:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (30:31):
I feel like Gaga should be on this list somewhere.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
But at the same time, her new music sounds exactly
like her old music.

Speaker 6 (30:37):
I don't know if I can throw a credit toward it.

Speaker 7 (30:39):
You know, we didn't add that to the list, right, Yeah, I.

Speaker 6 (30:45):
Can't taken me added.

Speaker 3 (30:47):
It's like so much drama.

Speaker 17 (30:49):
It's just sounds of summer, just like that surfy sweet
like you're gonna put it off before you go out
at night with your friends, or like she said, you're
driving the beachga.

Speaker 3 (31:00):
I was like, a a little too demonstrative, Yeah, god relaxed, Yeah,
growing punches at the air.

Speaker 8 (31:07):
It's very dramatic, yeah, theatrical, theatric Oh yeah, she had
a very pretty voice, but she's like yelling, oh yeah,
like you have.

Speaker 3 (31:18):
A beautiful voice.

Speaker 4 (31:19):
Just thing nice, just something light and fun.

Speaker 7 (31:24):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, Well we posed the question a few
minutes ago. Has there ever been an artist that had
back to back songs of Summer? Yeah, we posed that question.

Speaker 1 (31:33):
Well, you guys, good morning. So back to back artists
for song of the Summer, wasn't Morgan Wallen kind of
back to back as far as last night and then
I had some help. I don't know if those were
your part officially, but I'm pretty sure.

Speaker 7 (31:48):
I think she is right. I had some help. Was
one of the songs of Summer of last year before
absolute I remember that was favorite song.

Speaker 8 (32:03):
Yep being the same word over and over again. You're
giving everyone.

Speaker 3 (32:07):
Him, you know, I do. I think you're in the
wrong industry with the It should be a food critic
or something.

Speaker 8 (32:17):
I would love to Can I come on your show.
I do like post Alone in his collab. I actually
do really appreciate his collabse with people. It's just him
by himself. I can't really stomach well, even.

Speaker 3 (32:27):
Shaboozy bar song that was a big summer song, you know.

Speaker 7 (32:30):
That was on the list last year? Yeah, yeah, definitely, yeah.

Speaker 12 (32:34):
Which should be the song of the summer. Are any
of those top Dogs law commercials?

Speaker 6 (32:41):
Those are banned.

Speaker 12 (32:43):
I could listen to those every day.

Speaker 7 (32:46):
All right, Well, what type of dog's It was? A
facious one, a big one. Where did he bite?

Speaker 12 (32:53):
You?

Speaker 7 (32:55):
Keep keep better bank the camp, driving to the beach
with that
