Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, guys, welcome in the after show podcast justin then
Winning Here It's Wednesday. It's September third, and what's up
when Hi, what's going on with you?
Speaker 2 (00:10):
I actually kind of need to start the show on
a somber note, which, oh no, I'm kind of sad happened.
So we have a listener. Tell ya, I know Talia
she passed away.
Speaker 3 (00:22):
What on Monday?
Speaker 4 (00:24):
Oh my god, she was cancer cancer.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
She was only thirty six. She was engaged. I don't
know if you, I don't know if anyone's seen. I
posted a couple of times like for her, gofund me.
She was I'm gonna cry, like she's been a big
supporter of us, and even like me, like back when
like no one knew who I was, Like I'm talking
like this might it awkward?
Speaker 3 (00:45):
Days?
Speaker 2 (00:45):
I was like the phone babe, like no one knew
who I was. And her and I are friends.
Speaker 4 (00:51):
They are Is that still your base?
Speaker 3 (00:53):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (00:53):
Yes, they're both Iranian, so we kind of bonded over
the real Eastern thing. And they're just the sweetest people.
And she was always messaging me the sweetest things. And
when my dad was sick and she was sick at
the same time, like she was concerned about my dad
and I'm like, girl, like, you're going through cancer too.
So basically it started, uh, last end of last year.
She had a lump on her her neck and she
(01:16):
got it checked out and you know, the biopsy, and
she had messaged me during that time and she told me, like,
you know, she was scared or whatever, and then it
ended up being some weird, obviously random cancer and yeah,
on her neck, and she did radiation and everything was good, right,
and then shortly after that, her fiance got a rare cancer,
like it was god right, and then he was doing chemo,
(01:39):
so she was being like his this is all the
last year, really last year, and she was his support
system and then he was good with chemo and he
was having a procedure done recently. But in the middle
of all that, then she had to get her you know,
pet scanner or whatever.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
And routine follow Yeah, and it spread to her lungs
and her liver and her her bones.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
And I don't know if I should be sharing this,
but obviously I think it probably public knowledge. How she
passed away, and we message often and she met all
the time.
Speaker 3 (02:11):
And obviously, like you guys are part of lives.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
But like you know, you don't realize how muche's a
part of your life. And because I only met her
one time, I remember her years ago at a jingle ball,
and I just I'll miss talking to her. Like she
was just like when I tell you, like a light,
like a legit light, and just such a girl's girl.
Speaker 4 (02:33):
And she was always she was always defending you.
Speaker 1 (02:37):
One time she DM me because if we must have
done a segment about you and maybe about like you
with money and stuff like that, and she DM me
and she's like, I just want you to know that
when he gets a lot of crap about you know,
money and all that stuff. But you know, she's doing
things that like nobody else knows, you know, I'm sick
and stuff like. That's how I found out she was sick.
(02:57):
And she's like, you know when he like donated to
my GoFundMe. Yeah, and like she never told anybody about that,
that's behind the scenes.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
I was like, oh, yeah, I'm sorry, Like I just
I I'm really sad about it.
Speaker 4 (03:11):
Yeah, she she was.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
She was a really great person.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
And just we we make a lot of connections here
and some are deeper than others and I never I
guess I never realized how like deep this job can be.
So I just I just feel so bad. She was engaged.
She never ended up getting married because of all this.
She was supposed to get married before and the wedding
(03:36):
got put on hold, so she never got married, and we.
Speaker 4 (03:40):
Should give a shout out on we should give a
shout out on the air to her.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
Yeah, I just I didn't want to like bring the
room down during the show today because I just saw
this morning. I'd follow on Instagram, so it just happened
what happened yesterday or the first but they posted this
morning and I had been I've been texting with Aette
just to you check in, and because the last time
she messaged it was the beginning of August, and then
things just like took a turn. So I haven't talked
(04:05):
to her in like a month. But yeah, so she
she passed away, and she was only thirty six.
Speaker 4 (04:10):
I think, God, she's so young.
Speaker 2 (04:13):
So young, and so full of life. So that I
just a reminder just to like, obviously, you know, she
saw something in her neck, yet things checked out if
they seem weird, know your body, and then obviously just
you know, appreciate the time that you have with people.
Speaker 4 (04:26):
Life short life, short life, it's really short.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
And it's moments like this that kind of opens our
eyes up a little bit too. Yeah, you know the
ones that we love the most, or like, reach out
to that person and I know she's a listener and
you didn't, like no know her, but.
Speaker 4 (04:40):
You knew her. Yeah, No, I knew her.
Speaker 2 (04:42):
Yeah, I know you We we definitely, I think we
have some standout listeners that we talked to a lot,
or that just like resonate with us or that we
connect with.
Speaker 3 (04:51):
Oh.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
I you know, I don't not to say we don't
try to connect with everybody, but just there's a hand few,
like a few few people that it's just like it's
just you know, it's you're you relate, you connect, and
I just I'm really sad yeah about that.
Speaker 4 (05:05):
So I just want to rest in peace to Talia.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
And I like Whennie said, you know, when it comes
to our job and what we do and the connection
to the listeners is we have a saying that we
say in radio is we're in the business of friendship. Yeah,
you know, and I think hold on, Sorry, my stupid
medaglasses winning and we're in the we're in the business
of friendship and we connect with our listeners, and it's obvious.
(05:28):
This is a good example of Talia who connected with
all of us, especially you. Yeah, she was somebody that
listened to our show and had a connection with you,
and then through Instagram and everything, you built a connection.
Speaker 4 (05:38):
And life's just short. It really is, it really is.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
I mean she was literally in the prime, like in
her thirties, gonna get married, like she just lost them
on Dawaite, and then this diagnosis happened, and she was
so positive the whole time.
Speaker 4 (05:53):
She was so positive every time she.
Speaker 2 (05:54):
Messages, such a positive person in a light. And like
I said, and my dad was going through catsh at
the same time, and she was always asking about him,
and I'm just like, you're going through something you don't
even know my dad, like you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (06:06):
Well, even her defending you on the stupid money thing. Yeah,
here she is sick, going through chemo and has cancer
and she's out here defending you. I'm sticking up for
her friends. So yeah, yeah, rest in peace.
Speaker 4 (06:19):
Man. That's really terrible, but it's a reality of life.
Speaker 3 (06:22):
We all have to go sometimes.
Speaker 1 (06:24):
Yeah, we have to go some so our thoughts and
prayers go out to her in her family. So if
you want to do something on the air with it,
I'm cool with tatoo.
Speaker 3 (06:31):
Yeah no, I maybe tomorrow. But yeah, she was.
Speaker 2 (06:34):
I can't say enough about her, so legit like love
her like I have nothing.
Speaker 3 (06:39):
I just I can't believe it. Like she's like she
was like my internet friend, like we made too, like
we would chat all the time.
Speaker 4 (06:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (06:46):
She always commented on my on my posts and everything,
because her Instagram was where's Talian?
Speaker 3 (06:49):
Yeah yeah yeah, so.
Speaker 4 (06:51):
Rest in peace, all right. I think we're gonna end
their winning.
Speaker 3 (06:54):
Yeah, sorry to tell you I didn't know.
Speaker 1 (06:57):
It's fine and shout out to steal your base too.
I always get her name wrong.
Speaker 2 (07:02):
Yea. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
By the way, Ayat lives right near here. I can
see her house from where I am. God forbid you
come visits do that sometimes.
Speaker 3 (07:10):
So of course for her for losing a really close friend, obviously,
we're with.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
You, absolutely yeah, absolutely, So we love you, guys, We
love we love, appreciate you listening, and we cherish these connections.
So l R I P tal Yeah, we'll talk tomorrow.
