(00:00):
All right, so uh yeah, sorry, it's justin Whinnie after show podcast.
Hi everybody, welcome in. SoWhinny. Yesterday I jinxed everything you
did. I know you did, because remember at the end of the podcast,
I go, yeah, so we'llbe back tomorrow, Whinnie. We
don't I have nothing this week?I got nothing? Yeah, we got
nothing this week. Yeah. Well, got home yesterday and my wife's like

(00:24):
work stuff going on. But shesaid, oh, I got these new
clients and the only time they canmeet is tomorrow, which is today at
eleven and Wednesday at eleven. Shegoes, I need you home tomorrow and
Wednesday at eleven o'clock. I'm like, damn, damn, bro. But
I don't complain. I mean Iwould never. It's my wife whatever has

(00:44):
a job, no, I know, but she legit, Whinnie. This
is how much of an angel sheis. She legits schedules her clients and
her meetings which are all zoom. She's remote from home, schedules them all
around my gym, I know. And there's times like last week, you
had like four nights out in arow that you were Yes, I had
a busy week last week. Ohyeah, to balance she understands that you

(01:06):
have more of a public life. She does, you need to go out
more? Yeah, you know what? You know what Whenny, She's lucky
to have me. Hilly and Lisain the Morning present a behind the scenes
look into Boston's favorite morning show. That's a little too much information guy the
after show podcast? Who here's justinan winning Okay, that's not what I

(01:27):
was saying at all. Did Isay that wrong? Yes? I think
I said that backwards. Yeah.Oh, I'm sorry, you're lucky to
have her. I'm sorry to haveher. But I'm just saying she you
know you are. You're both greatpartners to each other. So but yeah,
no, so when she needs littleextra help, you're there. But
what was gonna say? Oh mygod? You maybe it's okay, Fine,

(01:49):
it's okay. Yeah, but we'reback today for a short one because
I do have to leave. It'sa Tuesday, and yeah, today's show,
Whinnie. I wanted to ask you, do you think that we took
it too far? Too it wastoo sexual? No? I don't,
well, because I did get atalkback, yeah from you know, from

(02:10):
a mom. No, a momwho was driving our kids to school and
said, I don't. I'd haveto go and look through it. I
didn't save it. It's in here. It would have been oh here it
is, I got it, Igot it right here. Yeah, I'll
play it on the after show.Let's see. Hey, guys, uh,
that's a guy. I know.Okay, it was a guy who

(02:32):
left it. Sorry, yeah,I just because on the talkbacks, I
can read a transcrit transfer. It'svery cool. Yeah, so I don't
have to listen. But yeah,I assumed it was a mom, and
it was it was a dad.Hey, guys, I had to turn
the channel. The topics you hadtoday are extremely inappropriate. And I know

(02:53):
it's for ratings or whatever, butyou got took a family show and get
kids listening, and come on,you got to clean it up a little
bit. Yeah, so I'm supersorry. I don't think we ever claimed
to be a family We do notclaim to be a family show, but
we do need to be considerate.Maybe maybe we should do it more during
the drive times, like we know, like seven, but that's normally our

(03:15):
high traffic times. It's just whenwe would have these type of topics.
I mean, I honestly didn't reallysay much inappropriate today, so I'm not
really gonna die on the till, but it really is a weird thing.
No, no, you didn't.It was definitely the topics, but you
know, we have to. It'sa weird thing because we don't do the
show for kids, but we neverhave, but we need to be considerate

(03:37):
of kids. But it's like,my brother has daughters who are seven to
four. Yeah, and he sayslike, sometimes can you turn Auntie on
or like whatever in the car,And he's like, I turn it on
for a second, and I basicallyreally quickly see what the conversation is before
I decide whether or not we canlisten. And he goes, there's times,
especially if it's like about your life, and I'm like, all right,

(03:58):
Like nope, Auntie's not on theradio, right, I mean,
because it's like I don't want youknow, whether it's my sex life or
something. Right, So my brotherslike I kind of quickly filter out whether
or not I'm going to listen toyou guys. But which is a good
idea? Yeah, because here's thething. Okay, for every you know,
her dad or mom that's driving theirkids to school and they have to
turn the channel. You know, there's ten times that amount of people or

(04:21):
whatever, how many people alone inthe car that are enjoying the conversation,
I mean that want to chime in. So it's a weird thing and I
try not to push it too much. But you know, we had the
topic on the woman finding the girlfinding her dad's porn, and then we
also had the daily one of thecouple having sex at the Envoy Hotel.

(04:42):
So it just so happens that twoof the bigger stories that we were going
to talk about were sexual. Sosometimes I have that thought, like,
are we pushing it too far?Just know that we don't intend to hurt
anybody or anything. We kind ofgo by what's trending. You know.
The Boston story was everywhere people aton of listeners at me that I said,
you have to talk about this,so we did. And then the

(05:02):
other one was just one that justhad happened, and I was less focusing
on I guess where like, okay, Winnie, here's where I could have
done better. Okay, looking backin retrospect, I know what you could
have done better. Not played theaudio, Yes, not played. I
could have just told the story andthen let into the topic her time of
the Booty and the White Hose. That was a little shocking for seven fifteen.

(05:26):
So you know what that that waswhat it was, that's what you
know what there there it is.And I don't listen to any of the
other morning shows because obviously we're working. I know you sometimes listen like on
podcasts and stuff around town, butI do kind of have an idea of
what everyone else is doing, andwe're kind of in line with some of
the other ones. Yeah, Likethere are somewhere that are like hunky doory,

(05:48):
like you know, the Bull orlike you know, I think maybe
like a mix or something where it'sa little bit cleaner, but like a
lot of our people we were workinglike next to or alongside in the same
morning show a time slot is kindof like around that. No, they're
edgy, they're edgi Erre edgie.Yeah, no, they're even Like I
don't think that this obviously the sportstalk shows, they're a bunch of guys

(06:12):
talking about who knows what half thetime. Well, speaking of that,
yeah, it's it's a big mysterywhere Rich is gonna go from Toucher and
Rich. Yeah, yeah, AndI was listening to a little bit of
a Fred Toucher yesterday talking about Richleaving you know, last week, and
uh, he was saying, howRich, that's a weird situation because it's

(06:33):
clear they were not friends behind thescenes. They just worked together, worked
very well together. But he wassaying, he's like, you know,
I hope Rich doesn't go to asports station leave sports alone Rich yet,
Well, Rich has done Top forty. I know, but he wants to
do sports. He should do whateverhe wants. He can do whatever he
wants. But he's like kind oftrying to, like, you know,
persuade him almost to not don't goto sports Rich. You're tired of the

(06:56):
negativity. And he was explaining towhich is true. He's said, in
sports all you get is hate fromguys because guys are just like, they
just talk shit all that stuff.Top forty doesn't get nearly as much.
Rich doesn't like the hate. Hedoesn't like negativity. Yeah, that's one
thing he struggled with. I guessthat's what Fred was saying. But he
said and the thing he said, you know what, Rich, go to
Top forty so you can have fun, take the maddie job, and go

(07:23):
take the maddie job, or gowork with Ryan Seacrest go have Fun,
which I thought was weird. TheMaddie Job is already taken. I think
I think what he meant was Idon't think he meant specifically the Maddie Job
on Kiss one o eight. Ithink he just meant the host of a
top forty station. That's what Ithink he meant. But when he said
that, I was listening to theclip and I'm like, god, wow,

(07:45):
it's because the rumors are he wasat WEEI, which they say are
not true. So just like insideit, do you know anyone anyone that's
looking for new I did not.I did not. That's why they're saying
that he could go to EEI afternoons. I don't know who's on afternoons
there to compete with felgrim Az,but who knows. I don't know.

(08:05):
You know what we do, Westay on our own side. We do.
I don't mind owns anywhere else.But I have to give a shout
out, a special shout out though, to Pete McKenzie and Heather Carlson who
returned to the airwaves yesterday, andI went and listened to the podcast and
it was highly emotional but very welldone. I don't know how they did
it open Nope, So the openwas very Heathery couldn't even speak. Pete

(08:31):
and Kenny kind of did all thetalking, but they ended up at seven
forty yesterday. They walked through thatday. So honestly, I know it
sounds kind of morbid, but asa as a as a listener that's like
known Kevin for so long, itwould be I guess it's a nice way
to like least let them know whatwas going on. Yeah, especially because

(08:52):
that day left everybody hanging because theydidn't know where he was, so it
was it was almost a joke. They did they podcast that show of them
not knowing where he was. No, no, there hasn't been a podcast
since that the day before, sothey had they started their show without him.
They did, Yeah, yeah theydid, they did. But it
was very weird of him not tonot to be answering not to let them

(09:13):
know. So they sent Heather rightaway to the house. So then Pika
on the air. I didn't hearit, but he kind of said that
yesterday. He kind of made ajoke about it, like, oh,
he probably like fell down and he'sprobably just laying there, like you know,
I can't get up. But thenshe went through having you know,
going there and then finding him andjust super super emotional. But so sure

(09:37):
they're troopers man, so they're goingto carry on. It's I have I
want to go talk to them, but I don't want to, like,
well, maybe give us some time. I didn't. No, No,
everyone I'm talking to is like Idon't want to bother them. Like,
yeah, yeah, they're still gettinggetting getting you know, used to it
being back, I mean, shesaid. Heather said she hasn't stopped crying
for the you know, two weeks. Would you cry if I did?

(09:58):
Awesome? Yeah, I'd cry.Really yeah, I get emotional. I
guess I get emotional. Oh yeah, when's the last time that I cried?
Oh? I cried recently? Actually, oh, there's I let Okay,
So there's a there's a on JoeRogan. There's this guy who's a
guest sometimes he's for the Innocence Project. He's an amazing speaker and what he's

(10:20):
a lawyer and he works to freeinmates that are wrongfully you know, convicted,
and so he'll come on and tellsome of the stories that cases that
he worked on, and one ofthem was this guy named Clemente Gary,
same last name as me. Yeah, and he was wrongly accused. He
was he was an immigrant in Florida. He was accused of a double murder

(10:41):
on death row and it was allwrong. He was innocent and he freedom.
So he tells that story and itgets very emotional and at one point
Rogan, Joe Rogan starts crying. He can't even speak, and he's like,
it's really emotional. It's an amazingstory. So I was playing that
for Jen and I out myself alittle while. Yeah, that's really how

(11:03):
you said when your kids were born, you cried and did it. That's
true. That's true. I was. I was ugly crying when Abel was
born. Yeah, I mean not. I batters with Gemma, but just
like Yo, toughing up. Sheis not a crier. It takes a
lot. When the last time shecried, like, do you remember it

(11:26):
was recently because it was when wewere over the summer. I remember we
went through that little yeah, yeah, and there was yeah, you guys
are having issue. Yeah. Shecries more out of anger though not out
of emotion. She's a she's atough cookie, that one. She is.
She's a tough cookie. Yeah, she's a tough girl. But speaking
of the tough cookie, I dohave to go because I have to go
see her. She's waiting. Iwill be at Salem Hunt. Oh yeah,

(11:48):
yeah, I love this. Yeah, I know you do. I'm
going to beat a traffic for threefucking hours coming home. But we're gonna
They're gonna try out. I don'teven know what my angle was. I
shouldn't go see what's going on.I don't know. Yeah, they haven't
tried out for turkey tosks to seewhat two kids and you'll get some stuff
alone, yeah, alone, It'sokay. It's for the benefit of the
show. Yeah whatever, So that'llbe good. I get some audio,

(12:11):
yes, yeah, I would.Yeah, if you could talk to the
kids, especially the winners. Okay, I'll break them. I'll get the
mico is. I can't do both. What do you mean I can't do
video and audio at the same time. Oh yeah, that's what That's why
I would benefit someone going with you, right, right, which is why
I asked you and Riley neither oneof your Yeah, I mean I can't,

(12:31):
but I'm sorry, right, Okay, Well, just you know,
I'll do I'll get some footage andthen I'll do I'll get more of like
some interviews for you. Yeah,I mean I would just want to talk
to the kids that win. I'lldo that. I'll do that. Yeah.
So all right, Well we'll beback tomorrow with another short part.
Not back twelve minutes. I mean, thirteen minute podcast isn't bad. You

(12:52):
only give Jen seven? Okay,Well, thank you for another song that
came out Friday, which I'm digging. Is in You Dual Leap a song.
It's called Houdini. You can hearthis on kids all the time,
but it's very catchy, isn't it. Come and go you know what winning?
I'm then I go, you keepmessing with me, I'm gonna go
Houdini on you. Louise, youmeet me the way to meet
