Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, Winnie, here we go getting ready after show
(00:02):
podcast is on. I would invite Billy on. It is Thursday,
he has this food show, but he's got several guests
coming in, so I don't think he's gonna join.
Speaker 2 (00:12):
M not sure.
Speaker 1 (00:13):
Chefs, people are you eating as soon as the pot dude?
I can't have heavy eating on the podcast. I me
just turn your mic off. You can just nod your
head when he's gonna eat. Yeah, Billy has a ton
of people coming in, so he's not gonna join unfortunately,
but you stuck with us, Justin and Winnie. So I
want to start with this. I don't usually sell things
(00:34):
on Facebook marketplace that much, but every time I do,
it is a giant pain in the ass. It is
nice you can sell things and make money, and people
do it all the time. But everything that I've ever listed,
I'll make sure to turn your micro on when you're done.
Everything that I've listed on Facebook, it's like, I get it.
People have a hustle where they try to get the
(00:55):
best deal possible on marketplace, right. They scour Facebook market
place and then try to beat you down to get
the best possible price. That's what they do. But as
soon as I post something, they come go crazy with
trying to low ball.
Speaker 3 (01:11):
Me, and only that you don't even know if they're
gonna end up coming through.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
Okay, that's a great point you just made. So I'm
selling my four whaler. It is beautiful, which one pretty
much brand new. It's a Honda.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
Wait, but you have.
Speaker 1 (01:24):
We only have two left, mine and my sons. My
son's is kind of not in good condition. So we
kind of made a deal with him where we're just
gonna I'm gonna sell mine, we'll get rid of his,
and we're gonna get him like an electric bike or
a nice scooter because he doesn't really ride it anymore.
And this is the real reason is there's woods behind
my house, but the trails are not that big.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
We've ridden them a.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
Million times, and what he wants is something to ride
on the street and he can't do. I'm kind of
over it. I was only doing it for him, and you.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
It was what you. It was the attic behavior.
Speaker 4 (01:56):
You aren't only doing it for him, No, you're doing
it for you.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
No.
Speaker 1 (01:59):
I did enjoy it, but it was just the next
thing that I was in. Now I've done it all
and I'm done with it. So anyway, I listened the
full where, which is, by the way.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
Is brand new.
Speaker 4 (02:09):
So what are you listening for?
Speaker 2 (02:11):
What? Wait? Can you hear that?
Speaker 4 (02:12):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (02:13):
Oh that was my metaglasses.
Speaker 4 (02:15):
Yo, that's what I was hearing during the show.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
Oh was it going off? Yes?
Speaker 4 (02:20):
I heard multiple times and I thought I was crazy.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
I was wondering. You didn't say anything, so I didn't
know if you could hear it.
Speaker 3 (02:26):
Yeah, I just thought I was crazy. I thought it
was someone's phone I was around.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
I'll make sure to turn it, turn the volume.
Speaker 4 (02:31):
How was that?
Speaker 1 (02:32):
It alerts me that I had text if I keep
the volume really low. But what happens is say, like
in between every day. Oh yeah, these are a part
of my life now. Oh these are my assistants. Thank
you my assistant. Okay, so I listed it's brand new,
it's under a year old, it's beautiful. I'm asking for
a ridiculously low price.
Speaker 4 (02:51):
What did you buy it for?
Speaker 2 (02:52):
Oh well, okay, okay, let's.
Speaker 4 (02:54):
Like, let's be real, let's say what we're working with.
Speaker 1 (02:56):
So unfortunately, when you buy these things brand new, you
have fees and up charges and shipping whatever that you
have to pay that you basically eat when you try
to resell. So the four wheeler is listed brand new
at fifty four hundred dollars. I paid seven grand, so
that's sixteen hundred dollars. Billy used it. The sixteen hundred
(03:17):
dollars is not really factored in. You just eat it basically.
So you're asking five thousand, I'm asking forty five hundred. Okay,
But here's the thing. Really, the lowest I would take
is four grand, which would be a deal.
Speaker 4 (03:32):
Isn't there four wheel places?
Speaker 1 (03:34):
No, they'll low wall the shit out of you because
they want everybody wants it to resell it or just
to have it at a good deal. So I did
find somebody, so a ton of people were like three.
I'm like, no, thirty two, I'll come today. No, thirty
five cash, I'll come today.
Speaker 2 (03:49):
No.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
The lowest in my head I want to take is four.
So then on Sunday this dude messages me and says, hey,
I'll give you four for it. Will you take four? Yes,
I'll come tomorrow from Mendon.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
Click on it.
Speaker 1 (04:00):
I always checked the profile, I know, but I checked
the profile and he's like a business owner, has a family.
He seemed very normal. I go cool, I'm home anytime
after two. So I messaged my phone number, I go
let me know. He goes cool, thank you so much,
I'll see you tomorrow, ghosted me.
Speaker 2 (04:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
So I don't not I don't like. I don't hit
him back and say where are you because obviously he
doesn't want it. But it's just a pain in the ass.
And so the reason I bring it up is I
just got another message from the dude who offered thirty
two and he's still trying to beat me down. Hey,
you sure, motherfucker. Yes, I'm sure I'm not taking that. Yeah,
come up with more money. And then I had to
go into this is actually a good deal, and I
(04:38):
know what I'm talking about. And I sent him the
receipt of what I paid and he just like leaves
me on red. So it's just, you know, marketplace frustrations.
Speaker 4 (04:45):
Yeah, I've been there. Yeah, I remember.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
I went through a period last year when I was
getting rid of mad shit and I sold a bunch
of stuff on the marketplaces.
Speaker 4 (04:52):
It is annoying.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
It's so annoying. Yeah, And I get you.
Speaker 3 (04:55):
Should you know what I do, which you should do
sometimes use your Instagram.
Speaker 4 (05:00):
You have plenty of followers. There could be someone that
wants one.
Speaker 2 (05:03):
Well, if someone's listening here that wants one, let.
Speaker 4 (05:05):
Me justin will take four?
Speaker 2 (05:07):
You just gave me no, No, but really I will.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
I don't I don't care. I don't care about the
willing and dealing. Yes, it's five hundred dollars, but I
don't care. I listed it at forty five with the
goal of getting it rid of it at four, but
it backfired winning and now they're trying to get free.
Speaker 3 (05:20):
You should have you should have probably listed it for
her six thousand, and you would have got four.
Speaker 1 (05:24):
I know, I know, and I'm just so annoyed because
I know the people that are trying to get the deal. No,
they know what the four wheeler is, they know what
it's worth, they know what I paid.
Speaker 4 (05:33):
Maybe the guy a Mendo will come through.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
Maybe that was on Monday though? Was today?
Speaker 4 (05:37):
Oh, Thursday?
Speaker 2 (05:38):
Thursday? Okay?
Speaker 1 (05:40):
In other news, busy show today, make sure you check
the podcast. Lot of a lot of things that we
talked about, sperm donations. We had the jerror from the
Karen retrial, and Sean Stillatto, who is Tommy Let's agent.
I like only making a big deal about it. And
it is cool, but it's a back back up. Yeah,
but if God forbid something happens to Drake May, he's
our guy.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (06:00):
So that's that. But but tonight's the book Club? You going, Winnie, Yeah,
I'm going. You're parking is all set?
Speaker 4 (06:07):
Thank you?
Speaker 2 (06:08):
Yep? And what time are you getting there?
Speaker 3 (06:10):
I'm I might try to go for five and leave early.
I don't really care to stay for you, but what's early?
Speaker 2 (06:15):
Like at Oh so before the Q and A starts,
The doors.
Speaker 3 (06:19):
Are at five, and they have the perky College of
music lady coming from the like to the band, which
I like, I think will be nice to see that element.
So I actually think I'm going to go early and
leave early, like I'm gonna go it. I might get
there for a FIBs and leave at like six thirty six,
like before the Q and A starts.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
I think that might be the move.
Speaker 4 (06:37):
That's my move.
Speaker 1 (06:39):
See what I always do is I wait till it starts,
just so I can watch a little bit of it,
and then I kind of sneak out.
Speaker 3 (06:44):
Yeah no, I'm not even I'm not even faking it.
I'm not just kidding for the Q and A. So
I think you know, being there for the the new
College of Music, and we can there during cocktail hours.
We can go with listeners and talk to the guests,
which I think is most important. But once they go on,
no one's paying attention to us and they don't need
our support anymore.
Speaker 4 (07:03):
We've proven supportive. And I don't read books, so I
don't care about the Q and A.
Speaker 1 (07:08):
I mean I would, I mean listen, I would sit
and listen to it whatever, but I have to drive home,
I have to work and stuff. Yeah, it'll be fun though,
It'll be fun to say see everybody. Make sure you
say hi if you are going. And if we don't
see it tonight, we will talk tomorrow before Labor Day.
And I have a big cookout coming up this weekend.
I'll talk about it in tomorrow's podcast. All right, See,
(07:29):
are you done eating?
Speaker 4 (07:30):
Yes, I'm done eating?
Speaker 2 (07:31):
Okay, thank you,
