Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, hey, everybody, welcome into the after Show podcast.
Justin Winnie here. Sorry, we've been m i a for
a couple of days. Things are happening. Things happen. I
should say that, you know. I just sometimes we can't
do a podcast. It's just how it is. But I
was looking at my contract, Winnie, and in my contract
(00:20):
I did not know this. You should read You should
read your contract, you whatever, Yeah, anybody in general. And
the podcast is in my contract.
Speaker 2 (00:29):
So we have to do it or we get paid
for it. I'm sure not gett paid for it's funny.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
But we do. We get a bonus thing. But it's
in there, like a full description of this podcast. Isn't
that crazy?
Speaker 3 (00:41):
Is that a good negotiating tool?
Speaker 1 (00:43):
Get anything's a good negotiating.
Speaker 3 (00:45):
Look at that. It's it's important that's in the contract.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
I'd say anything that you can negotiate. You negotiate on
these things, you know. But anyway, we're here, and what
a day to do a podcast or a radio show
of just sadness. It is nine to eleven. It's the anniversary.
Speaker 3 (00:59):
I know.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
Oh god, man, god, twenty four years.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
I can't believe it's been that long.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
It's crazy.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
I have a question, do you think it'll becoming a
national holiday? I mean, it hasn't been yet, but.
Speaker 1 (01:08):
I feel I get the day off.
Speaker 2 (01:10):
Well, not that I want the day off, but I'm
just saying, like, no offense to like laborers or like
unions for Labor Day, but like it being so close
to Labor Day, it feels like a little bit more
important than Labor Day because it isn't Labor Day just
about unions.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
It's about to celebrate the worker workers.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
Right right, you know what I mean, Like Memorial I
don't know, Like, but then I.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
Think it's big enough to get its.
Speaker 3 (01:32):
Summer back a week.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
That's true, that's true.
Speaker 3 (01:36):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
I don't understand how the starting school before Labor Day
thing ever came about. That's a weird thing.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
When we were growing up, that wasn't like that at all.
Always like Tuesday Wednesday after Labor Day.
Speaker 1 (01:46):
Yeah, Labor Day was the final hurrah. Yeah you know,
so yeah, nine to eleven, then the shooting Charlie Kirk,
and then there's a school shooting as well, and then
the other I mean, I was listening to Billy's news,
I legit was listening to his news and every story
was like death and violence. Yeah, it's just like man like,
the loss of life is just terrible. So anyway, yeah,
I bring that up because you know, we had to
(02:07):
do a whole radio show on it and do a
podcast on it with well, we.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
Try not to mention like the shitty stuff, but honestly,
just my own curiosity, I've been going down like a
Charlie Kirk rabbit hole just because it's everywhere.
Speaker 3 (02:20):
I know.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
I was not familiar with Charlie Kirk.
Speaker 3 (02:22):
Oh you've never seen him before.
Speaker 1 (02:23):
No, so I had seen him before, but when it
was came on at the gym, all of the TVs
and I was like looking at it, and I'm like,
Charlie Kirk, I.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
Didn't Well, you know, I spent a lot of time
on TikTok and a lot of the times, you know,
people like recut videos and they stitch videos, and I've
never like followed him, but I always see debates between
him and obviously more liberal left leading people.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
Yeah, he liked, he liked a debate.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
I will say he was normally a I don't even
know how to describe this man, but he did have
some respectful debates with people that he didn't agree with.
I've seen some respectful interactions, obviously, he also did spew
things that people did not agree with, and sometimes more
of a felt like a hateful manner. Not that he
deserved to die or anything like that. Everyone deserves, I guess,
(03:06):
to have their speech. But you know, it's sad.
Speaker 3 (03:09):
He was.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
He was a young guy, dad, he had kids, you know,
obviously a wife, and the way he died, Like you
saw that video.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
It was all over my social media.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
I never seen I thought it was a AI at first. Yeah,
if you didn't see it, if you want to, it's
everywhere you can find it. I don't want to like
promote finding the video, but you could literally find it anywhere.
When the shooter hit him, I mean, there's no way
he was going to survive that. You just saw the
blood gosh out of his neck.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
So the saddest part for me was the fact that
his obviously his young children and like, that's that video.
Speaker 3 (03:45):
They'll see it one day, yes one.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
I think the last memory that they're gonna have that's
going to live forever is that video.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
You know, it was really airy though, you know the
question that was being asked, they said, do you know
how many mass shootings there have been in the last
ten years and then he was shot.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (04:04):
And honestly, the Utah police, can you the FBI, you've
arrested two people and release them.
Speaker 3 (04:09):
Can you find the person that did it?
Speaker 1 (04:10):
Just to have an update? I didn't. I was on
the TV, but it was during the show. I don't
know if the update that if they found the person yet.
Speaker 3 (04:17):
Well, also to.
Speaker 2 (04:18):
What everyone an inside job because it was such a
well placed hit and it was so far away that
like most most people that aren't skilled can't do that.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
I don't know. I guess we'll we'll find out. But
it's just the loss of life is just tremendous. I
don't really care about the other stuff about the politics,
and I mean, this dude lost his life. Man, it's crazy,
you know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (04:42):
Yeah, But I also think they didn't do a good
enough job secury in that place it was open air.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
Yeah, I guess he did a lot of those college
campus because he probably never expected that somebody would come
kill you. You actually never expect that. Maybe he did.
He did have security, though.
Speaker 3 (04:56):
He did have a lot of security.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
He had a security he had a lot of security.
Speaker 2 (04:59):
I think because even I saw a video of him
posting about him walking. I think he lives in Arizona
and he was like, we're walking maybe in Arizona, maybe
not because he didn't want people to know. I think
where he was because I think he did have threats.
But anyways, I don't know. It's sad, but it's not
the fact that this happens every day is also like numbing.
Speaker 1 (05:16):
Well that's the biggest part for me, right, It's like
every day listen to Billy's news every day, the stories
every single day of mass shooting.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
CNN interrupted his shooting coverage to talk about the one
in the at the high school at.
Speaker 1 (05:26):
The Colorado in Colorado. Yeah. Crazy. So anyway, yeah, that's
that's what a day. But we gotta jump out, we
gotta jump into a meeting and do the ever ends.
We'll be back. We'll be back maybe maybe tomorrow, maybe
before we go.
Speaker 2 (05:38):
I went to Perfect Smile yesterday to get my next
set of in vision line shout out to doctor Tam said,
I'm doing a great job in Mcbriyah good patient.
Speaker 3 (05:46):
I saw doctor ci.
Speaker 2 (05:47):

but also like at their their craft.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
India their in needing assent for the summer for the
summer with her daughters and he stayed back.
Speaker 3 (05:58):
Can I tell you?
Speaker 2 (05:59):
She told me because her parents were like really one
spend time with obviously the grandkids cause they don't see
them often. She took dentistry classes so that she could
get like, I'm like, that is crazy that she was
on vacation and took classes. And then doctor Tam was
so sweet he flew to Indian a surprise of for
her birthday. Oh wow, I'm like, they are just like
the cutest couple. And I saw that doctor Houghton is
(06:19):
officially retiring in November.
Speaker 3 (06:21):
Yeah, yeah, so.
Speaker 1 (06:23):
Well that's one of the things about doctor Houghton. Who
you know, the doctor Tam is taking over Doctor Houlton.
Doctor Houghton is you never stop learning. He was still
probably still going to school and learning all the latest
updates and dentistry and all the new And when you
go there, you can see the equipment that they have
is super state of the art. My favorite part is
(06:43):
the massage chair. Yep, I was gonna say that I
had a massage chair in a heater. Oh and by the.
Speaker 3 (06:48):
Way, you're welcome.
Speaker 2 (06:49):
I saw the girls there and they said they needed
like my dental insurance.
Speaker 3 (06:52):
I never give in to them, and they were like, well,
we can't figure out Justin's you gave him the wrong insurance.
Speaker 1 (06:57):
Bro, No, no, no, no, you know what happened. Okay, this
probably is going to happen to you. Oh yeah, it's
gonna happen to you. So okay, every year when you
sign up, yeah, it changes, I know. Yeah, this year's
it's it's yeah, they had mine. I got my smile
make over two years ago.
Speaker 3 (07:13):
Oh okay.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
They said they kept calling to get like your insurance
and nobody was getting back to them now because of
I think I gave my card.
Speaker 3 (07:20):
From twenty twenty five, so it should be updated.
Speaker 1 (07:22):
So I think I did give the They did call
me about it, so I think they have the right one.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
But yeah, Janelle was like, I've been trying for like months,
and so she's like, thank you so much.
Speaker 1 (07:32):
I want to call me if there's an issue.
Speaker 2 (07:33):
Yeah, but anyways, Yeah, it was great. I can't wait
to go back in a few weeks. Oh yes, it's
