Speaker 1 (00:00):
I Winnie, are you ready to go?
Speaker 2 (00:01):
Yes? Oh, yes, I'm ready.
Speaker 1 (00:02):
That's okay. Just your volume there. Welcome in, everybody. This
is the After Show podcast with Yes, Justin and Winnie
wrapping up the week. It's a Friday, Whinnie, what I'm sorry.
I was thinking about your family that's on vacation. Now
they come back today, come back today, Okay, yeah, and
now you're gonna go. So for those that missed it
earlier this week, we talked about it when he's family
(00:23):
booked a vacation during the work week. Ye, so you're
the only.
Speaker 3 (00:26):
One not going, only one that didn't go to Saratoga
to Saratoga, New York.
Speaker 1 (00:30):
Okay, and they went for vacation horse races. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (00:33):
My parents like the horses and it's a really pretty
shrack up there. So my brother and his wife and
their girls went, and my sister and my other both
my sisters and my parents.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
So every quarry but me, literally every quarry but me.
Speaker 1 (00:46):
You know what, one of the strangest things about you
and your family is when you were growing up, your
vacations were to sporting events or ballparks. Yes, yes, yep,
but you're not really a big sports family.
Speaker 3 (00:58):
Are you well, No, I'm my Actually, my mom is
probably a bigger sportsman than my dad.
Speaker 2 (01:03):
My dad likes football, he's a big football guy.
Speaker 3 (01:05):
My mom loves baseball, and growing up we actually had
teen tickets to the Red Sox the BC basketball like
Boston College basketball and Boston College football. So yes, yes,
not very athletic, but we do enjoy sports.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
Yes, yes, And now they're going to or they're at
the horse race.
Speaker 2 (01:22):
The horse races.
Speaker 3 (01:23):
It's really pretty up there. But they said, oh, it
gets busy on the weekends because everyone goes up for Saturday,
so you can get that. So they wanted to go
when you know, they left Wednesday and they come back.
Speaker 1 (01:31):
Today and they left you home alone. Yep.
Speaker 3 (01:33):
I got to water the plans for them and pick
up the packages and work. So wow, I hope they
had fun without me.
Speaker 1 (01:40):
Now, are you going to be able to resist saying
things to them when you know once they come back?
Speaker 2 (01:45):
Oh, to my best. You know, my dad has cancer,
so he your.
Speaker 1 (01:48):
Dad gets passed, he gets the past. But your mom no,
you said this earlier this week on the show. Your
mom knows your vacation schedule.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
Oh, my mom always has a decent idea. She always
knows December. She doesn't know the exact weeks, but she
knows Marshall I in August, so she kind of mentioned
it in like June because it was towards the end
of chemo, so it was like, all right, hopefully he'll
start to feel better once he's off chemo for a
few weeks. So he ended chemo at the end of June,
so the thought process was like, I give him a
few weeks to get his strength back, but we didn't.
(02:15):
He's getting surgery at the end of the summer or
beginning of the fall. They haven't give him a date yet,
so they didn't want to go too like close to
surgery date. So my muncles will like mid July, because
we're off like the the third week of August, so
I don't know what he'll have it now. They still
haven't given a surgery date, so we probably could have
gone the third week of August, but they already they.
Speaker 1 (02:35):
Already did it. What are you doing for the August vacation?
Speaker 2 (02:37):
I don't know. I got touched with my boyfriend.
Speaker 3 (02:39):
He's but he's has some stuff going on with work,
so we're trying to figure out either if we're going
to do something or not want you come to Piza.
Speaker 2 (02:45):
Yeah, fuck you guys, Like I understand.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
I maybe overreacted, but you were just on the boat
several times this summer that I was. No.
Speaker 3 (02:53):
No, I was on once right twice. No, I stopped
by once once. I went because we and Lisa just
met them on the little dacause you were.
Speaker 1 (03:03):
You were on it during our first vacation at some point.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
Yeah, I went when they were in Quincy.
Speaker 1 (03:07):
And then you went again recently. No, I didn't this
past week.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
No, I didn't.
Speaker 1 (03:11):
You got it. There was a picture. Yeah, you did,
because my wife's posted a picture of I mean I
posted a picture. She said, you posted a picture on
the boat.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
No, that was from that one time, that same time
with me, Michelle and Billy.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
You reposted it.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
Yeah. I didn't post that picture of us. I just
posed for the vacation recap.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
Okay, well that's the illusion of social I went one time,
like on theisode. But I never know because I don't care.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
You go on the boat. It's that you're sailing on
the boat.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
I know.
Speaker 3 (03:33):
That's what passed me up, And what really was hurtful,
not that I didn't get the initial invite. It's when
I said something that no one invited me anyways, and oh,
of course you can come.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
And now it's even worse because that. And then in
the same week your family going.
Speaker 3 (03:45):
And then you guys are committing Well, we're gonna bet
your boyfriend. You guys, don't invite me anywhere.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
I want to meet clothes man, Well, invite it somewhere. Okay, Well,
Billy is going to plan.
Speaker 2 (03:55):
Yeah, but if you know that during the work he
can't go. Remember, he wants to do it if we do.
Speaker 1 (03:59):
On a Friday, I don't do weeknights.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
But the winner, that winner of that boat thing, we
never we never planned it. From last time we'd ever
planned it. We had to pay it off.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
Wait, from the first time we had a winner. We
didn't give it away.
Speaker 3 (04:10):
This one the last time in fall, okay, because okay, yeah,
so we're screwed.
Speaker 2 (04:15):
So he's gonna do two.
Speaker 3 (04:16):
He's gonna do one with us with work and one
with friends. I mean like one just us, Yeah, okay, cool.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
Then he'll come in.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
He wants to meet the clover who.
Speaker 2 (04:23):
Doesn't want to meet him. He's a good, great guy.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
I'm looking forward to it.
Speaker 3 (04:25):
Literally on Wednesday. He slept over on Tuesday, woke I
fell asleep early. He literally made sure all my lums
were on right. Then he woke up, watched Coder for me,
and then I was walking out. I at my work
bag in my gym bag, and he just took it
from me and carried it. He's such a gentleman. I
don't know how I found somebody so great in this
day and age.
Speaker 2 (04:44):
I'm so blessed.
Speaker 1 (04:44):
Well, what's that saying? Sometimes you have to go through
a lot of frogs.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
Oh, I went through plenty. I honestly not to like
Mimi me. I just heard this.
Speaker 3 (04:52):
I've been through a lot of shit and I'm a
pretty good person like you guys think fun of me,
but you know I'm a good person like I deserve
to be treated nicely.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
He had had some rough patches, very rough the dating
world for sure, so rough. So that's good, Okay, Well,
any other plans this weekend?
Speaker 2 (05:07):
We'll just hang out, get food probably.
Speaker 3 (05:09):
I actually told him I really want to go to
Costco and get a Costco card because I want a
hot dog.
Speaker 1 (05:13):
I don't know where Costco is, there's none there. There's
the couple near me's BJ's.
Speaker 3 (05:17):
Yeah, BJ's doesn't have hot dogs anymore. They got rid
of that, so I love I used to love BJS
for the hot dogs, but now I'm a Costco girl.
But I can't go unless someone that has a Costco card.
So I told him I think I want to get
Costco card.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
What an exciting life you have that should have plans
for the weekend. I'm going to the Red Sox with
you always have fun Tai tomorrow night, so it should
be fun. I'll tell you how it went on.
Speaker 2 (05:38):
Okay, I can't wait.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
So everyone have a great weekend and we'll see you Monday.
