Speaker 1 (00:00):
Okay, Whinnie, this does not happen often. But we're working today.
We're done basically on Wednesday, and then we're off the
rest of the week.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
This is a great thing. I can't wait. Oh, it's
gonna be great.
Speaker 1 (00:13):
Well, the next two days are just preparing for the
big party on Saturday, just outside stuff, cleaning the house.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
I have to power wash the house.
Speaker 1 (00:22):
You know, get the yard ready, put the tents up,
get the pool ready.
Speaker 3 (00:26):
Well, that's good that you have all this extra time.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
It's fantastic, Yeah, because otherwise I'd have to work a Friday,
go home tired, and you know, get bossed around by
my wife. She really does do a lot. So this
is this is her moment, you know. Her pajama's party
is like everything.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
I know.
Speaker 1 (00:45):
When my son was born, it was in January because
we didn't plan it. So winter baby, winter babies, yeah,
summer baby. Yeah, because the birthday parties in the winter
are very hard to it's always indoors. So Jen her
birthday is July second. She grew up outside birthday parties,
pool parties.
Speaker 2 (01:06):
You know.
Speaker 1 (01:06):
And so an Abel was born, you know, his birthday
parties were at the fucking YMCA. You know what I mean,
Like it's freezing outside, so she wanted a summer baby
and she got it.
Speaker 2 (01:16):
So that's why, you know, these outdoor parties are.
Speaker 4 (01:19):
Ever literally summer literally yeah yeah, yeah. Both my nieces
are summer babies, and they I think they planned that
way so much easier.
Speaker 3 (01:26):
Yeah, they're July third and August fifth. Oh yeah, yea,
and so my older niece.
Speaker 4 (01:31):
He birthdays always July fourth weekend or you know, you
know the party.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
Because every year we're scrambling to find where to have
the party. You can only have it so many table.
Speaker 3 (01:40):
Yeah, I've been. We've been to every little place park.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
The fucking Boys and Girls clubs, which are great places.
Speaker 4 (01:48):
Well, there'll be a time where you stop doing kids
like friends parties.
Speaker 3 (01:50):
I mean, I never you guys.
Speaker 4 (01:52):
The fact that you guys do friends parties every year
is not weird, but it's born to me because my
mom only did a couple friend parties a lifetime. I
got like my seventh, my tenth, thirteenth, Like every few years,
you got a friend party. And I'm a December baby.
I'm not an outdoor baby. Me and my siblings only
got friends parties every couple.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
Years on the years that you did not have friends
who showed up your family. What do you mean non
for no.
Speaker 4 (02:18):
We always you know, we always have like a lunch
or a dinner like with the family for someone's birthday,
Like like we celebrate birthdays. And when I say birthdays,
it's like, you know, Miami family. And then my mom
has is one of thirteen, so it's kind of just
like her few siblings that she's close with, So a couple.
Speaker 3 (02:34):
Of my aunts maybe you know, would come.
Speaker 4 (02:36):
So you're talking about a birthday party of fifteen, you know,
twenty people.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
Right for every birthday.
Speaker 4 (02:43):
But in actually, like when I go to your your
your son at a friend birthday party every year, that's
weird to me. That you spend all this money on
a for the friends, like having a cake and having
dinner and giving him presents every year is obviously normal.
The fact that she does these big elaborate parties every
year is odd to me because I'm we on want
a four So my mom wasn't doing that. We got
like every couple like a special birthday, like like oh
(03:05):
you're double digit's like your tenth birthday thirteen because you're
a teenager, Like I got the helse.
Speaker 3 (03:10):
My friends came over after school.
Speaker 1 (03:11):
You know what, he needs some gratitude for the life
that he has.
Speaker 4 (03:14):
You know, Like I'm like, it's so like the amount
of money that Jen spends on his like seventh, sixth, eighth, nine,
it's like, you know what I mean. Even my brother
was my niece. My niece is like because it's outdoors, you.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
Know, they always come over. They use the sprinkler.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
They had like the pool, like it's easier on outdoors.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
Right, But my brother didn't have a pool.
Speaker 4 (03:31):
He has like the you know, the like the photo,
you know, the pool and then he'll do like you
know when they have like a sprinkler like this, you could.
Speaker 3 (03:38):
Climb up and get the bounty house.
Speaker 4 (03:41):
But even that but like that's like he combines it
with like family and like their friends bring their kids,
but like having a full on friend party that I
consider you're your kid getting a friend party. It's like crazy, Yeah,
that's my crazy wife.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
Yeah, it's funny. I was at Pentucket Bank, which I
work closely with. I was meeting with the them yesterday
and they do a lot of stuff with the community
food banks and things like that, the homeless, and so
I was meeting with them, and I was like, you know,
i'd really be involved in something like that.
Speaker 2 (04:09):
I love what you guys do.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
And so we were kind of like brainstorming or whatever,
and I said to them, I go, I really want
to come to the food bank and help out. Can
I bring my son? And they looked at me like,
and I go, he's eight years old, and I really
have been thinking about taking him to places like this,
you know, to help and to give back, but to
also teach him about gratitude, because you know, the problem
(04:33):
with giving your child the life that you never had
is he thinks like, oh, I grew up with all
this stuff. You know, he's never seen the other side,
whereas I have because I didn't grow up with that stuff.
So I think it would be beneficial to at least
sometimes bring them and you know, give back, you know
what I mean. So hopefully we'll be doing that soon.
But when he you know, I'd love to sit and
chat with your hair, But I gotta go. What are
(04:55):
we doing all right? Any big plans for the besides
skipping the birthday party?
Speaker 3 (05:00):
Well, I think I'm one of the pizza I know that.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
Seems Oh yeah, I think I had a hold on me. Yeah, sorry,
hold on if I had a thing here for.
Speaker 5 (05:06):
You's Mike from my Hamshire Love the podcast as always
and uh when you just want you to know that
my wife and I will be at the Bust and
Pizza Festival on Saturday. Also, my dude will see you there.
Speaker 4 (05:19):
Oh yeah maybe Mike Slice, I know, I'm assuming that's
what we're doing.
Speaker 3 (05:24):
We said we're going to do that, but you know,
things change.
Speaker 2 (05:27):
Yeah, you'll do anything to skip the party's fine.
Speaker 3 (05:29):
Oh my god, I've got I coated all your kids party.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
And I just wanted to get a picture of you
on the pony.
Speaker 3 (05:34):
Oh is there a wait limit?
Speaker 1 (05:39):
Yeah, come and we'll find out. All right, have a
great time off if you have it. If if you don't,
I'm sorry, but we'll be back on Monday.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
Bye bye
