Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, Happy Thursday, everybody, and welcome to the After Show Podcast.
Very very tired today, winning I'm sure you are too.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Yeah, it's funny coming my lap my first week back.

Speaker 3 (00:12):
I'm like, it's weird being off for so long and
not being on vacation was weird.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
Well, you came back to jingle Ball, the you know,
the pre sale going on sale tomorrow and then transitioning
into Taylor today and tomorrow. It's just been crazy and
it's gonna even crazier tomorrow with the album coming out,
which we're all over. I mean, it's kiss went to wait. Man,
We're Boston's number one hit music station. That's what we do.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
It's so crazy to me that she didn't put out
one single.

Speaker 4 (00:39):
I know, I know, I know it is crab, but
she doesn't have to write. That's why I did.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
It doesn't have well, that's.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
Why I didn't believe the story that she turned down
the halftime show because she wasn't getting paid. It makes
way more sense that she wanted the ownership. Yeah, yeah,
you know, I was telling Billy about this. You know,
think about it. It makes sense, right, she gets her
masters taken from her from Scooter Brawn and whoever, Right,
they're sold under her fucking like she whatever. Yeah, so

(01:08):
her masters gets taken from her, and she probably when
she got them back, thought to herself, I'm gonna own
every motherfucking thing that I do. Right, So she probably
said of the Super Bowl the NFL, I want to
own the performance.

Speaker 4 (01:20):
They said no.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
So I don't know why they like they shouldn't. They
should be able to own their performance. I think if
they or at least split it within ANFL right.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
Right, Yeah, I don't really understand it, but it's it's
a tailored takeover here on Kiss went away, So that's happening.

Speaker 4 (01:35):
Billy is done. He's going to Africa tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
I'm going to miss him. I'm going to miss him,
but you know what, good for them. His wife Michelle
really is a passion for her.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
Yeah, as much as he kind of whinds that he
doesn't want to go, he'll have a great time. He
did this last year and he had the best time ever.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
Oh. Actually, I was taking my boyfriend because his family's
from Ghana, and I was like, I've never been to Africa.
I've only ever been to Europe, So I definitely feel
like I will make it to Ghana at some point
and he's like, you want to go to Ghana? I go, yeah,
of course I want to go. I want to see
like where your family's from. And when his mom went
over the over the summer, she brought back bread. It

(02:13):
was some of the best bread I've ever had, really. Yeah,
Like it was like they make it on the side,
they sell on the side the road for like a
buck and I think it's probably less than like an
American dollar.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
And it was like so good and I dipped it
in like hot chocolate. Oh my god. I was just
like I will go for the bread alone.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
You know.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
I love my carbs.

Speaker 4 (02:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:31):
But besides seeking of traveling, besides Ruba, which you're going to,
are you traveling for the summer or for Christmas?

Speaker 4 (02:39):
We never travel during Christmas. It's just too much.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
Oh yeah, with the kids, we have so much time off.

Speaker 4 (02:44):
I know.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
But the thing is that Jen doesn't have like the
vacations that we do. That I that's true to so
we have that.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
And I forget cause she's working from home for so long.
I forget that she has a job.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
Yeah, she has a pretty important job.

Speaker 4 (02:58):
She does.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
She's a nurse.

Speaker 4 (02:59):
I just get because like she she's a manager.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
I know.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
I was telling Maddie and Damon from Power of Recovery.
They were here last week. I was telling them because
sometimes I'll talk to Damon or Maddie, but mostly Damon
because he's kind of the go to guy. He'll start
talking to me about like medical stuff and like recovery
and insurance, and he's using all this lingo ppo, HMO,
all this stuff, and I go, dude, you talk in
a different language. And I'm like, this is what my
wife sounds like on the phone, because that's what she does.

(03:23):
She's managing a bunch of nurses. And sometimes I have
the thought, I'm like, wow, my wife's actually wicked.

Speaker 4 (03:28):
Smile.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
I really know how to do my own insurance.

Speaker 4 (03:30):
It's terrible.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
I hate it.

Speaker 4 (03:31):
Yeah, and I no, I'm going through something very serious
right now.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
Yeah, didn't you talk about.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
The other day.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
I don't know about publicly, Yeah, talk about emails she
sent you the other day?

Speaker 4 (03:40):
Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Well, because my son and daughter have a primary care
that they've had since they were born, who we absolutely
love dearly, and all of a sudden, the fucking high
performance network that we chose through our company is not
covered by them, and.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
It kept Did you have the problem where he keeps
telling your own network even though you're the same state
you live in.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Yeah, so they sold this and we should have called
before we picked that plan our place to make sure
we didn't know it's build as this like high performance,
like yeah, and it's still a shit ton of money.

Speaker 4 (04:12):
You know.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
So this whole time we haven't been coveraged to now
we have a huge bill. I reached out to iHeart,
you know, corporate, and they're like, look, that's not enough
of a life event to make the change. But open
enrollment is the twenty third of October. Yeah, but still
it doesn't start until January first.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
So that means you're responsible for the last year of appointments.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
Yeah, or we have to find another doctor from them
to sea until then.

Speaker 4 (04:36):
I guess it's just sucks.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
Well, you need to see less are sick. We have
to go see somebody, like do they have their appointments
coming up?

Speaker 4 (04:43):
Or they're good, they have some appointments coming up. Oh yeah, so.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
They're really sad. I'm telling you, man, Like it's my wife.
I always talk about that. She's like rough around the
edges and she's not like this fucking emotional person. But
when she cries, it's like it really gets me going
because she never cries, and she was crying about this
bad like she's just because she feels so helpless. She's

(05:08):
on the phone with them and they're like, there's nothing
we can do. And it's like this doctor, doctor Lisa.
That's like the kids love her so well.

Speaker 3 (05:15):
Also, you know what if for some reason you can't
get doctor Lisa going forward, if we have listeners in
the Salem, New Hampshire area, and you know of a
great pediatrician.

Speaker 4 (05:23):
That takes a fucking high performance Blue.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
Cross network, I have to change I mean, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (05:28):
We can't change it until then.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
Yeah, but can you?

Speaker 3 (05:31):
But is there anything that she'll take now? Will she
take the old one?

Speaker 4 (05:36):
Probably?

Speaker 1 (05:37):
But we have to change it and we can't change
it until October twenty thirty, but it won't go into.

Speaker 4 (05:41):
Effect and first. Yeah, so she's all upset. So that's
that's good.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
Remember when I was homeless, Whinnie, Okay, I had what's
called mass health, which was the best insurance.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
What's the best insurance?

Speaker 4 (05:54):
I paid nothing?

Speaker 3 (05:55):
I had mass health when I worked part time here.
I loved mass Health. I actually sad when I got
a full time job here too, not because I mean
I was happy to get a much need to raise,
but the health insurance for mass Health was so affordable
and so.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
Good and they covered so much, and I think I
paid like forty a month.

Speaker 1 (06:12):
Okay, so you're talking about the health Connector, which is
there one you pay for? Yeah, and it's totally affordable
and you don't pay much. I'm talking about actual mass
Health for the people that don't work. They pay one
hundred percent of everything, surgery, there's no fees for anything.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
You know, if you and also I don't know if
you know this.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
If you're a woman and you're pregnant in Massachusetts, you
and your baby can get mass Health for free.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
Yes, yes, yeah, so look into that.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
It's it's it's crazy to me how much insurance sucks
the life and the money out of you to get
really nothing. Yeah, you know, we pay a couple hundred
dollars a month, and I know you pay more because
you're on a family plan. And then like I was
sick the last you know, the last.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
Week I had I've had three or four points in
the last week.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
I haven't had three or four in the last year,
the amount of money I spent in copays and didn't
even cover everything.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
And then I saw that my like deductible was it met.

Speaker 3 (07:01):
So I'm like, I literally spent like a couple hundred
dollars last week going to doctor's appointments.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
Yeah, it's crazy.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
I had I had an MRI on my knee. When
I have my knee thing done, it's twenty five hundred.
Twenty five hundred, that's after insurance covered what they covered.

Speaker 4 (07:15):
Yeah, yeah, it just sucks man.

Speaker 3 (07:18):
Okay, well, this is a great, great podcast, no problem
that you know.

Speaker 4 (07:21):
It's it's it is. What's vacation?

Speaker 2 (07:23):
What you got coming up?

Speaker 1 (07:25):
You want to bring the room down with your fucking
well I'm dealing with because we just got the email
that there's nothing they can do, like a gen text
to me, it's a whole thing.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
Okay, well then you go handle that.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
Thank you very much. So don't forget tomorrow morning, Billy's
not here. We'll have the tailor tickets and all that,
and the Taylor album will be out.

Speaker 4 (07:40):
We'll be all over that for new music

Speaker 1 (07:42):

won't sound like we you just heard right there I
promise
