Speaker 1 (00:00):
Okay when he breaking news, breaking news, breaking news, you
know already, but I'm gonna let everybody else know that
the talkbacks for the after Show now are open. Yes,
they finally got it going. They are working. They work
tirelessly to get these things done. A lot of testings
is a test by Digital support. Again, this is just
a test, thank you, just a test. They got it working.
(00:22):
Excuse you? Is that real? Yeah? These this is these
were this was our digital department. Wow, multiple people testing
the after Show podcast talkbacks.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
Hi, Tony, this is a test of the iHeartRadio app
talkback feature.
Speaker 1 (00:35):
Goodbye, Okay, I think we got it, you know, and
then don't forget about Tony. Hey, Tony, this is just
a test, but it is working. So you can send
in your talkbacks when you're listening to the after Show
and you can ask questions about really anything.
Speaker 3 (00:50):
Hi, guys, I was just listening to yesterday's show podcast
and noticed that you didn't have any clips of music
in it, or you guys are talking about the lock
up songs. Did something happen that you can't use the
music clips in the podcast anymore? Doesn't matter, I'm just curious.
Speaker 1 (01:09):
Well, yes, something did happen. We are not allowed to
play music on any podcast. It is not we do
not have the rights. On the radio, we can play
whatever because we pay for it, but on podcasts it's not.
We can't. So we've talked about on the after show.
I used to play music all the time, and I
got we got in trouble, and now they're cracking down
(01:30):
on the show. So it does suck. There's nothing we
can do.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
I actually had someone DM me asking that and I
explained everything and she because she was kind of complaining,
and she was just like, it's not it's not as
fun to listen to. And I'm like, listen, it's that
or nothing.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
I don't know till it's out of our hands. You know,
music is copyrighted, and you know, every time we play
music on the radio, whether it's a song that's programmed
or a clip that I play, you know, we pay
these labels to play that music, you know. But when
in the podcast world is different, you know. So that's
just the way it is. We're sorry. Sorry, So some
other programming changes while we're at it, If you might,
(02:04):
you may have noticed that weird stories we got rid of.
We did yes at eight twenty. We didn't really get
rid of it. What we did was we just broke
it up. So any weird stories that are good that
would have went there we do at other places. For example,
today at nine ten, we did the list of the
gen Z names that would have been a weird story,
you know, just so we can talk about it more
and maybe take calls, you know, and then yeah, maybe
(02:27):
some other programming changes are going to be coming soon.
I'm not going to say what they are yet, but
we're working it. You know, we're working.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
I actually if what you're talking about is going to happen,
I actually like it.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
Yeah, there'll be some people that don't like it. Just
just moving things around. Nothing, nothing is going away, but
just moving things around. Because you know, in radio, you
know it's four hours, so listening is higher or lower
on different hours. So we want to make sure that
on the highest listening listen to hours, we're being listened
to the most content, the most content, you know. So anyway,
(02:58):
good show today, Lots of lots happened. We had the
topic time of the Real ID. That's what's funny about
topic time is sometimes we do these topics and you know,
they're always good and we always get great interaction from
our audience. But sometimes I'm like, this is going to
be a hot topic, and it is, but not really right.
But then we do something like the real ID, which
is so relatable, it's a lead story. Today is the
(03:19):
day we got so many talkbacks, Like every time I checked,
it was like thirty forty thirty. Really they just kept
coming and coming and coming. You know, it's people just
chiming in on it, you know. So people are out
there and they want to be a part of the conversation,
and that's what the top backs are for. I think
Laurie was a little aggressive on Lari was a little
bit aggressive. She was shaming people.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
I didn't know seven years ago it was even a thought.
I know that it was before COVID. I remember hearing
inklings of the whole real ID thing. Right then they
push it back, so like no one thought about it.
I didn't know it's been a thought since nine to eleven.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
Yeah, so they passed the law in two thousand and five.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
What the it's like twenty years to get this should go?
Speaker 1 (04:00):
Yeah, twenty years.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
So but I'm sorry, I have a passport. I'm not
gonna fucking do all this shit. When I have a.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
Passport, I think you should be good. Yeah, especially because
you just renewed your license. Yeah, I'm not gonna You know,
this happened with Nanni last week. She had to renew
her license and she's like, I want the rail ID.
So I went on, you can't do it online. You
got to make an appointment right and do it on there.
She got late. She got laid off yesterday. Nanny. Oh, yeah,
sorry for a thing. I think it's a blessing. Honestly,
(04:28):
I know you said they're kind of weird. Yeah, I
don't know. I just feel like she could get a
better work from home job, yeah, you know, or maybe
even work part time just at her age is tough.
It is tough, but she's done her whole life in
customer service. She's really good, by the way you should.
She's a deck collector. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
My sister's boyfriend works for a deck collector company in.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
Salem, Salem Way. I'm sure what.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
Yeah, he lives in the swin.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
Does he go there? Yeah, there's no Oh what you
gave me the information? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (04:56):
Yeah, okay, Although I do think you have to be
in the office sometimes.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
If it's in Salem, New Hampshire. I don't think it's
a big deal. She was driving all the way to
Haverol every day.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
They live in she works, he works at Okay, he
works at Tuscan.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
Oh my god, that'd be perfect. Yeah, you need to
get the name. Do you'd know the name?
Speaker 2 (05:12):
No, Okay, I can text my sister text her right now.
When I first met him, he was telling me about
I think that is the coolest thing. His department is
repoeing like tractor trailers and ship from farmers that don't
pay on their like on all their tractor stuff.
Speaker 3 (05:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
So it's like all down south.
Speaker 2 (05:29):
It's like not really up here.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
Yeah, Nonny. She got to the point where she was
doing businesses that didn't pay their taxes, which was good
because you have to pay your taxes or your business
will get shut down. Previously, she was doing student loans,
and she did not like it because she basically was
ruining people's lives. I mean they ruined their own life
by not paying their debt, but like she would literally
garnage their wages or whatever. Right, you know, she just
(05:52):
didn't like like hurting people like that. Business is not bad.
You got to pay your text how long is she
been collection? A lot decades? Yeah, she's really good collections
for decades. I think it was more like I don't
know why. Maybe the company just like getting the younger
people in there, little agism type thing. I don't know,
but she's in good spirits and you know what, she
gets to collect and get the summer off and spend
time with her grandchildren, especially my daughter. I know you
(06:16):
low key love this. It's Jen does too. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:18):
Yeah, I'm so sad you'll be home.
Speaker 1 (06:23):
She works the summer's coming. Monday and Tuesdays. She works
late night, she works twelve, doesn't home until nine o'clock
at night. Yeah, and you know, when she's home, she eats.
Jemmy eats dinner with Nana and Nannie. So it's like
not the same. It's like last night she got laid
off and got sent home. She wasn't like too upset.
And I know Jen, I'm like, oh, look at you,
and Jenna was up there working. Yeah, Jemmy was downstairs
(06:43):
for three hours. So yeah, okay, I have the name. Okay,
you can give it to me after, but all right, listen,
get your talkbacks in on the after show. If you listen,
send some ins. We'll play some back tomorrow and have
some fun. If you have any questions about anything crazy
that we say or talk about, we'll do our best
to an sir. Okay, goodbye,
