Speaker 3 (00:14):
I need that. I'm going to New York when the
second weekend.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
Let me guess working out with anybody.
Speaker 3 (00:23):
Maybe, but definitely meeting up with my Instagram hero.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
So how's that. Had that work out for you?
Speaker 3 (00:28):
It went great?
Speaker 2 (00:29):
You know, well, did you tell him you were coming
or something? Like I said? Remember I jested a couple
of weeks ago. I was like, plan a trip and
tell him you're going to be there and see if
he's around.
Speaker 3 (00:37):
I did, And that's what you did, That's what I did.
Speaker 2 (00:39):
Yeah, you're welcome.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
So it's the guy on Instagram that I followed and
I met that came to Boston. His name is fifty cal.
Speaker 2 (00:44):
And what's his actual name.
Speaker 1 (00:46):
His name's Eddie. He's on the warrant squad in the Bronx. Okay,
he's just a good dude. I like following following him
for his fitness content and he just seems like a
good dude.
Speaker 3 (00:55):
I met him.
Speaker 1 (00:55):
He's a great dude. And then he said, if you
ever come to New York, hit me up, will work
out and get a bite to eat.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
So I booked a.
Speaker 1 (01:02):
Trip and overnight going my friend Mike. So I texted
him and said, hey, I'm going to be up there
August twenty third for a night. And he said, I
hit me up. He's like, well, at least get a
bite to eat. He works out real early. Yeah, no,
working out.
Speaker 2 (01:16):
Wow, You're I'm cious.
Speaker 1 (01:18):
I'm curious. Okay, I'm curious because he'll never hear this.
I'm curious if he'll invite me to his house or
he lives in New York. He didn't say where he lives.
He's very private. He's a police officer. But he lives
about an hour from New York City.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
That means he could live in New York City.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
Oh yeah, but no, it's a very suburban.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
You can tell, like white plains or something.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
Maybe I don't know. I know he drives, you know,
on the highway down you can tell by his videos.
But he said, you know, come up. And I'm curious
if he says, hey, meet it, let's meet at this
restaurant or the.
Speaker 2 (01:51):
Thing is, how are you driving? I'm driving, okay, so
you could drive out there?
Speaker 1 (01:54):
Yeah, I'm curious. I would I don't want to go
to his house. I would like to because he has
a dope gym and house. Okay, you know, and we all,
you know, we started chatting about things like saunas.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
He's looking at put a sauna. He has a cold plunge.
It's just like my house. Oh wow, aren't you so
looking forward to that?
Speaker 2 (02:11):
So awesome?
Speaker 1 (02:12):
That's in two weekends from this weekend, right, yes, one?
Speaker 3 (02:17):
Two?
Speaker 1 (02:17):
Yeah, okay, But Monday's podcast did not go up. There
were some issues with it. When he were people were
asking about the boat weekend with you and.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
Billy and oh, yes, I know we never We did
talk about it obviously, but it didn't get posted. So yes,
last weekend if you missed it, we went to Darius Rucker, me, Billy, Lisa,
and my whole family. It was like all of us,
but before we went to the boat, it was me,
my boyfriend, Michelle, Billy's wife, Lisa, and Riley ended up
stopping by and yeah, we just had like a really
(02:47):
nice time. I mean, Billy and Michelle both said they
actually you heard Lisa and everyone said how much I
really liked him. So he definitely was thrown to the
fire though, because the two of them are freaking out
about something and it was the whole boat ride. Not
the ride, but the whole boat thing was just them
like going crazy gossiping. They were just being them. Yes,
(03:10):
oh my unhinged outrage, you know what I mean, Like,
oh my god. We hope he didn't like but he's
just so cool. He just like sat there and took
it all in. But yeah, we had a good time.
He got the sale approval from everyone except you. You
haven't met him yet, but I'm sure that will come.
Speaker 3 (03:23):
Didn't seem like he was into Darius No.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
I mean he's never been. It was his first concert ever.
Speaker 3 (03:29):
That's crazy.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
He's not really like he like he like afrobeats rap,
like you know what.
Speaker 3 (03:33):
I mean, So who's like his favorite rapper?
Speaker 2 (03:36):
I don't even know. When we listened and where we're
in the car, I played like R and B that's
what I like. And then like sometimes he'll play afrobeats
or something.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
But what is an afrobeat?
Speaker 2 (03:46):
It's like African. It's like music that's like African afrobeats.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
Is that like that when Ed Sharon did that? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (03:53):
Yeah, I mean it's very mainstream now, you know, it's like,
who's the big guy? Who's that? Oh my god, what's
his name? Oh he played the Garden his dreads.
Speaker 3 (04:02):
Oh yeah, yes, yes, it's like that.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, so yeah, no, that's kind of like
you know, and sometimes he'll surprised me with like some
more like soft rocks, like soft hits, soft rock. You
know that he played some funny you say that. My
parents going on a Foreigner on Tuesday. I actually physically
bought tickets for them for Christmas, and my dad, you know,
with the cancer and everything, didn't feel like going, so
we sold them. So I got my honey back at least.
(04:26):
But anyways, but yeah, so he played some like random
song by some random girl, and it was like very
like like I don't know, like Lna del Ray. It
was very Lona del Ray sounding.
Speaker 3 (04:37):
He just seems very chill. He's so said, he's very
he's very calm.
Speaker 2 (04:42):
He's like the sweetest soul you'll ever meet. He's so chill.
He's like quiet, but reserved, not quiet in a way
where he like has nothing to say. He just lets
you talk. He takes it in. He literally remembers everything
I say. He like listens to me so well. And
he especially when we're together, like we have plenty of conversation,
but when he's in a group, he just kind of
lets everyone do their thing and observes and adds when needed.
Speaker 3 (05:05):
You know what they say, though, you got to watch
out with the quiet ones.
Speaker 2 (05:08):
But he's not like quiet sneaky. He's like quiet stoic,
you know what I mean, Like he an soul. Yes,
like he like he'll engage, like he'll look you and
I he'll shake your hand, he'll engage any with any conversation.
But he doesn't need to talk, like he doesn't need
to like get a word in, you know what I mean.
Like he'll talk to everybody like my family, Billy, Lisa,
(05:29):
like you know, but he'll just let you kind of
you know. So it's a different type of quiet. It's
not a sneaky quiet. It's like a solitude. He's just
very peaceful, calm. He doesn't even I've never seen him
get mad, like never, and I'm kind of annoying, like
if you can be at peace around me.
Speaker 1 (05:49):
Like he really does speak volumes yeah, he's he is
the calm to myset each other.
Speaker 2 (05:54):
No, we really do, and he needs he needs my
hype sometimes. Yeah, but yeah, no, he's You'll you'll get
once you know you meet him, you'll get it, okay,
Like it's not a weird.
Speaker 3 (06:02):
Quiet Well I look forward to me in the clothes man.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
You will meet him, I'm sure. Well, it's so funny.
He's never been to a concert. Also says he doesn't
really care about concerts, and I said, well, you're dating
the wrong girl, you know that, right, And he was like, like,
do I have to go? And this is the thing
he also does like ninety nine point nine percent things
I asked, so like I would not force him to
do anything he don't want to do. And then I
was like, you do realize, like once every like six months,
(06:25):
maybe every like four or five, depending on what year
it is, we do like a show outing and we
always have a plus one. Mine used to be like
a friend, you know what I mean, But now it's
gonna be you. So figure it out.
Speaker 1 (06:38):
Well, there's some shows coming up, some R and B
shows that you could get tickets fight you don care
about R and B.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
That's like me, I mean no, No, he's no, like
he has no desire to go. Like I would love
him to go to Chris Brown with me. Oh he
won't go. Yeah, I have no one to go with.
I gotta figure that out.
Speaker 3 (06:54):
What about What about is Burna Boy coming?
Speaker 2 (06:56):
No, I don't know. I have no I think he
was just here. Is he going to be?
Speaker 1 (07:00):
Yeah, he'll be at the Burna Boy will be at
the Garden December third.
Speaker 2 (07:04):
Oh, maybe I'll see if he wants to go. I
highly doubt it. He'll still say no, he's not for
the hype or the Hooplah, Yeah, he's really not.
Speaker 3 (07:12):
Does he like Burna Boy?
Speaker 2 (07:14):
I would just I'm assuming just because he likes afrobeats,
but I can't confirm.
Speaker 3 (07:17):
Hmm okay, yeah, tickets look pretty cheap.
Speaker 2 (07:20):
Well, I can think I can ask somebody, don't you think?
Speaker 3 (07:23):
Yeah? But if he wanted to get like really good seats, I.
Speaker 2 (07:25):
Mean I don't think I could ask Pup. Oh okay,
don't you think?
Speaker 3 (07:28):
I don't know? Pup couldn't get me Wu Tang tickets.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
I think Burna Boy might be easier than Wu Tang.
Speaker 3 (07:32):
That's surprising.
Speaker 2 (07:33):
Hey, my African down the hall DJ forarn Maybe he
can get me one.
Speaker 3 (07:38):
Yeah, does you know who DJ farn is?
Speaker 2 (07:40):
No? His friends call me Pebbles, And I'm like, I
hope you know she's like sixty. He's not really into radio,
which is I love because you know what, I realize,
if your partner listens to the radio, and if they
maybe found out who you were through the radio, not
really what you're looking for. Could be somewhat of a setup,
(08:02):
if you will, maybe they just were praying on your dad.
I'm praying on you almost in a way, you know
what I mean, Like, Oh, she's cute, she's funny. I
want her, but you have nothing to bring to the table.
In hindsight, you know what I mean. It feels really gross. Actually,
so I'm very happy that he doesn't care about the radio.
Speaker 3 (08:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (08:21):
Well, you know, one of the greatest pieces of advice
I got early on was that you know, quickly realize
that the people that are closest to you and that
matter the most don't do not care that you work
on the radio.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
I know they they would say that, but he still
knew it. But no, everyone I love, like friends and family,
they don't give a shit. But don't date anybody that
knows you from the radio. It's fucking weird. Well, yeah,
you know what I mean. They might have a secret
family that road. They just want to fuck you. Yeah,
and just conquer it and then line in line and
then probably fall in love with you and then be
(08:52):
like oopsie, what am I going to do now? And
then take you on vacation and then meet your whole family,
and then meet all your coworkers and then meet your friends.
Speaker 3 (08:58):
Yeah, what's it like to be gas litting so hard?
Speaker 2 (09:02):
And you know it's so crazy? Is I thought I was?
I was much better than that. It's crazy.
Speaker 1 (09:07):
It's actually shocking when you think about it, because if
you were the last person I thought that would.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
Happen to me too. But you know what it was.
You always have your eye on the men. Sometimes it's
not the men that are the evil people. Yeah, there's
some good guys out there. Yeah, yeah, you found one.
I fuck, Thank you fucking God.
Speaker 3 (09:24):
Why don't you and the clothes man go enjoy your weekend?
Speaker 2 (09:27):
Yes, actually tomorrow Ghibli's is having a tense sail.
Speaker 3 (09:30):
Going to Ghibli's.
Speaker 2 (09:31):
Well, he my friend's getting married at the end of August,
so he needs to have a shirt that matches my dress.
Speaker 3 (09:36):
Okay, so you're going to get the Billy discount.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
Well I said that to Billy. I was like, I'll
even post because I don't feel like Alma's a lot
of social he doesn't care about that, but you no,
I know, but I was and he was like, well,
he probably like half off, and I was like, okay,
but it is a tense sale for ninety percent off.
What's the difference.
Speaker 1 (09:51):
I think the Billy discount is less than fifty forty
maybe I think it's.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
Forty yeah, something like that. But I'm like, so that
the tent the tent sale is ninety percent off for
eighty percent off.
Speaker 3 (10:01):
Yeah, I just hit the sial.
Speaker 2 (10:02):
Yeah, so we're going to do that at least tomorrow
because I need his Actually, it's times taking away. I
said this to him in like May, because when I
got my dress and he was like, we have so
much time, And I said to him last week, I go, hey,
we have to like figure out what you're wearing for
the wedding. And he's like, what isn't that like in
like eight weeks. I go, no, it's in like four
and he was, oh shit.
Speaker 3 (10:20):
Well if he needs a tailored then yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:23):
But I just really want the I want his shirt
to match my dress.
Speaker 3 (10:28):
Right I'm wearing Alan can tailor it.
Speaker 2 (10:31):
Yeah, and I also look he want I think he
would look really cute in a tan sue because I'm
wearing yet low. I don't know. We'll have to figure
it out. But yeah, so I'm gonna We're gonna go
there tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (10:40):
Well you enjoy your weekend too.
Speaker 2 (10:41):
What are you doing on the weekend?
Speaker 1 (10:42):
Very much nothing, no plans, which I loved. By the way,
my wife is not dragging me to anything.
Speaker 2 (10:48):
I love dragging people to shit they don't want to
go to.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
Yeah, all right, I had a good weekend everybody, but bye,
