Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello, my friends, Welcome to the After Show Podcast. It
is Justin. It is Winnie aka Fred. It's a Thursday.
It's looking like blue skies out there. Not gonna last though,
because it's gonna rain through tomorrow. Winnie. It's gonna be
a complete washout Saturday, and so so Sunday looks nice
for Mother's Day and that's all that matters. Yep for
the moms. Okay, are you doing something nice for your

(00:22):
mom besides stalking her?

Speaker 2 (00:24):
I gotta ask.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
Her what you want to have a plan?

Speaker 2 (00:28):
No, I have like stuff for her.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
You have gifts, but no plans for thirty seven doesn't matter.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
No, no, no, I'm saying she doesn't care, like like she
gets stuff mobs, but she doesn't want to go out.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
She doesn't want Maybe we could do takeout, maybe we'll cook.
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
I see where I see where you come from. It
makes a lot of sense.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
Yeah, that's my mom at this point in her motherhood.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
Okay, Well, good news. The talkbacks for the after Show
are open. They are coming in. I have been checking
them and we've we've we've gotten some already, so I'll
see you guys.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
Hey, guys, this is Katie from Virginia originally from Massachusetts.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
I'm just leaving a talkback for the after show, Day
one after Show Army member. Love you guys, Yeah you are.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Yeah, Katie goes way back. So if you listen to
this podcast on the iHeart app, that microphone that you
press for the show you can use for the after show.
So if you're listening, boom, it's right there. Record a message.
Yell at Winnie, it's fine, say whatever the hell you want. Hi, Winnie,
and justin.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
It is Angela the Scientist.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
And I'm kind of sad because I thought I was
going to be your first talk backer for the after show,
but then it makes sense that you've never played it
because you weren't getting them anyways. I love you guys, Okay, bye,
I love you too, Angela, thank you. You know where
those are the previous talkbacks that never came to me?
They're in the cloud somewhere, floating around and because we

(01:54):
have been teasing this for a while, but they weren't
coming in. But they're open now so you can come in.
You can, I mean, you can leave a talk back
and join the conversation. Hey, guys, it's Caitlin and hygienis
justin I've always wanted to ask you this, and like,
I don't mean to be like rude about it or anything, Kaitlyn,
I'm sorry. I'm sure you're very sweet and beautiful, but
I'm married. I can't I'm sorry. I just want to

(02:16):
put it out there. I'm sorry.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
I've always just wondered, like, obviously you don't do drugs anymore.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
Of course it's about drugs, and I thought it was
something else.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
But does that craving ever go away? Like do you
still have that in you? I just I've always wondered that.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
That's a good question. It never fully goes away, but
it gets it gets less and less. No, it gets
less and less and less the longer.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
That you are.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
No, but you have so in the beginning it is
so strong, like the obsession and compulsion. It's all you
think about. But then as time goes on, it gets
less and less and less. You don't think about it.
But then there's what I call like flutters, and a
flutter could be a dream. You have a drug dream.
That's a real thing. I had one recently, a drug
dream where I was getting high in the dream and

(03:04):
I wake up and I'm like, oh my god, that
was so real and I kind of liked it. And
you think about it for a second, but you know
it's the in one ear, out the other in your
mind and then out you train yourself. You have the
thought you play the tape through. Okay, if I choose
to get high, I'll be I'll feel good for however
long and then what's going to happen next? Fucking destroying

(03:26):
my life?

Speaker 2 (03:27):
Question for you?

Speaker 1 (03:28):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (03:28):
If Jen, Now, your wife's also recovery people that don't
know if you relapsed, right, would she support you or
kick you out?

Speaker 1 (03:39):
If I was actively using? Yeah, I don't think I
would not be allowed to stay there. We have a
rule in our house we don't allow any kind of
drugs or anything in our house. Not that there ever
would be all our friends in recovery, but there was
like one instance with one of her friends that was
using that she was trying to help and was coming
to the house, and I'm like, this can't happen. I

(04:00):
can't have active people at my house, so I'm sure
I shouldn't be not to get high. I just don't
want to be around it. I don't want it around
my kids. I don't want any of that, So good question, Caitlin.
It never fully goes away because addiction is an incurable disease,
but it gets easier to manage, you know. I would
say I'm more like when I see food. When I

(04:22):
see food, I'm like, oh my god, I'd really like
to eat that. Mastros has a complete buffet of steaks, rabbis,
lobster mashed out there. But I'm staying away. I'm staying
strong skate. No. See that's the justification.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
Yeah, but no, but it's just protein.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
No, no, that's the justification. It's not my it's not
on my mail plank. Okay, it's not on my mail
plan Saturday Game three Celtics eating all the food? All right,
what else? What else do I'm perfect? Smiles. I was
there yesterday, doctor Tam. Yeah. He told me that they're
coming in to tomorrow next week.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
Yeah, I'm going or something like that.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
Yeah. So he actually gave me some in visiline trays.
Oh yeah, then they're well retainers, I should say, not
the trays that that move your teeth like you're gonna have,
but like the retainers that you're gonna have to wear. It,
says in VISI line on it and so he's giving
me to wear like while I work out and stuff
because I'm grinding my teeth. So they're nice. They work nice.

(05:22):
But when I was listening to this when I first
got there, so there is a new dentist there. This
is interesting. So you know when you go to the
dentist okay, and you have the hygienis or the assistant
come in first, they give you the mouth washed, they
get everything set up, and then the dentist comes in. Okay.
So one day I'm there like you know last year,
and the assistant comes in and I'm like laid back

(05:45):
kind of, I'm not really paying attention and she starts
like doing stuff and talking to me. And while she's
talking to me, I'm thinking to myself, is this the dentist?
This is more I could tell she was like more advanced.
So when doctor Houghton came in, I'm like, I asked
him and she left. I asked him and he goes, oh,
he told me the story. So she's from Brazil.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
I know she know my assistant. She's the best. She
was a dentist in Brazil. Yeah, but she's not here right,
so she has to go back.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
So it sucks because she's like an assistant here, but
she's a full dentist. She worked on my mouth, so
I have a small crush on her.

Speaker 2 (06:21):
But she's very pretty, very sweet.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
No no, not like a crush like, but she's very
she's very she's attractive, but she's super sweet.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
Yeah, very sweet.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
Yeah, so I like talking to her. I always like
I do this like a flirty No.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
I really like her a lot, but she's like Gabby,
Yeah she's mad.

Speaker 1 (06:36):
But anyway, Gabby when I was there yesterday because she
wasn't there when I was there last week to see
doctor Tam. So she comes in first with the invisile
line things, and she starts giving me the invisile line speech.
You're gonna wear these and then you know they're gonna
straighten your teeth. These are the stages that you wear them.
And I'm like, whoa, I'm not getting in visil line
and she's like, well, yeah you are. I look, and

(06:57):
then I explained her. She goes, oh, okay, okay, okay,
they're just the retainers that you protect your teeth. Yep,
you're excited, new smile. It might mess up your speech
a little bit.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
For the first two days, but then I'm excited for
the results.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
So I heard that there is some discomfort in the
very beginning, which is totally normal. But you just have
to be diligent with it.

Speaker 3 (07:18):
I know I will be because I want it to
be over. You want to do it and get over.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
Well, you got to take him out when you eat
and stuff. You know, I was going to get in biseline.
So you'll like it and you'll have a brand new
smile for your secret boyfriend.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
He's not a secret.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
Okay, you're doing the fucking Kylie Jenner thing. Were like,
you post like his finger, we post his fingernail.

Speaker 2 (07:37):
You can see what he looks like right now.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
I've seen that before. He looks like he looks like
somebody that I know, a famous person.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
Well, don't say it.

Speaker 1 (07:46):
Well, they're not going to know.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
If you say what the famous person looks like.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
The think no cares. Who are you're hiding him from?
I don't know whatever.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
No, I'm kidding anyway, I'm out all the time with him.
You could we go out everywhere. I'm not hiding.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
I'm sure I'll meet him.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
I'm with him all the time. You would have met him.
He went to the game on front Monday.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
Yeah, and you know what, when I meet him, I'll
give you my honest take.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
He's a very I think you're gonna like him.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
I'll drill him. What is he thugged out?

Speaker 2 (08:12):
No, he's the sweetest guy.

Speaker 1 (08:13):
Oh nice. Yeah, Well he had a tendency in the
past to like the thugs. You know, Jamaican's Jamaican thugs. Well,
you can be a thug and you can be Jamaican.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
My X wasn't a Jamaican thug. He was just a
little kookie and he was Jamaican.

Speaker 1 (08:32):
Oh he was.

Speaker 2 (08:33):
Yeah, he was Jamaican.

Speaker 1 (08:34):
Oh I didn't know that.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
The one I lived with. Yeah, but no, he's super sweet.
You'll like him. He's a really nice guy.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
All right, time, we'll tell all right, everybody else, have
a fantastic day, and tomorrow is Friday, but we'll talk
on the after show, So have a good one.
