I am so excited this morning becauseone of my favorite things to do every
single year is to go to FortTaekonderoga. And joining me this morning is
my friend Beth from Fort Taekonderoga,who's going to tell us all about the
amazing history, the amazing things youcan do at Fort Taekonderoga. Hey,
Beth, how are you? Iam fantastic, Damie, how are you?

I am fantastic too, because youknow how much I love Fort Taekonderoga,
so I love talking with you aboutit. So let's jump in.
The season is in full swing,right, I know. So we're heading
into the unofficial start of summer withMemorial Day weekend, and that means that
all of Fort taekonder Roga's amazing programsare underway, including our carry on Boat

our tours begin on Lake Champlain thisFriday. So that's just so awesome because
it's one of the best ways toexperience the history and see the beauty at
Fort Taekonderoga. And then, ofcourse Memorial Day weekend, it's such a
special weekend, you know, everybut he's enjoying family time and celebration and
maybe the first bit of summer traveland to come to a place like Fort

Taekwonderoga where you know, the fightfor liberty happened, this power of place
and people gave their all for nation, and we're honoring those who fell,
the men and women who served inthe American Revolution with special programs throughout the
weekend. It's going to be soamazing. And I say this to people
all the time. It's a greatday trip to go up to Fort Taekonderoga,

even better overnight trip to go toFort Tekonderoga because you guys have so
much to do there. I meanthe history, absolutely, it's incredible,
but the beauty of Fort Taekonderoga isreally what always overwhelms me. I mean
when you talk about being able tosee the Adirondacks and the Green Mountains,

I mean, there are not manyplaces where you can get the views that
you get at Fort Taekonderoga. You'reso right. I mean we're an assles
between these two incredible mountains and anon Lake Champlain, and you know,
really it's it's how we bring thesite to life through all of our programs
and our exhibitions and more than fourteentours a day, including the tours on

top of Mountain Defiance and the King'sGarden, which is beautiful too, gorgeous
tour. Yeah, yeah, Soit's just a wonderful way, you know,
to bring people together. And youknow, somebody said to me recently,
you know, I know History Buslove for Iconderogan. That's totally true.
There's so much to dive into,and you're right for two days our
tickets to buy one day, getthe next day free. But also for

people who you know, just arelooking for something interesting to do. Everybody,
you know, just thrills at ourweapons demos, enjoys the grounds and
beautiful landscape, our exhibitions, ourhistoric trades. We have an awesome on
site cafe, great museum, retailshop, and so it's just it's really
lovely. And heading into summer,we have all kinds of awesome premium tours

so people can dive into some reallyfun experiences including drinks and drama, which
is all the salacious stories and witheach story comes a cocktail, so it's
an evening program. Love it.That's one of my favorites. And then
we have History Happy Hour on ourcarry on Cruz though, which will be

happening in July and August, anda bunch of other premium tours. So

it really is, And I sayto people because I do. I
come up every single year. Ialways love it. Sometimes I bring my
nieces and nephews. Sometimes it's justme and my sweetie that come up together.
But it really is a place whereeveryone in the family friends. Whoever

you are. If you're a historybuff, there is so much for you
at Fort taekondor Roga. If youjust love the beautiful views, there are
so much at Fort Taekwonderoga. Youwant to hike Mount Defiance, you can
do that. I mean, therereally is so much to do. I
can't say it enough to people.You know, everyone should take time over

the course of the summer into youguys are open through the end of October,
if I'm not mistaken, right,that's right. We're working through Tuesday
through Sunday through the end of October, and then in the winter we do
special programs. But for our dailysummers to the end of October. Yeah,
so everybody should take at least aday if not to to head up
to Fort Taekwondoga. Everyone will havea wonderful time because there's just so much
