How many fires are fire stations actually responding to?

Speaker 1 (00:04):
All right, time for Allison's bubble. What do you have
to five? I'm gonna go to the pool today.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Oh that's not the bubble though, No, would it surprise
you to know, because I was surprised by this. Only
four percent out of one hundred, only four percent of
the calls routed to fire departments in the entire country
or for actual fires. Wow, most of them are for
medical emergencies.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
I'm always blown away when the uh, when the fire
truck arrives for a medical emergency.

Speaker 4 (00:35):
It's like, I think an ambulance will do just fine.

Speaker 5 (00:37):
But how often do you see an ambulance and a
fire truck behind it and you're like, oh, and where's
the fire?

Speaker 4 (00:42):
There's no fire? More percent?

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Though it's not thirty, it's not even a low percent,
only four percent.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
So I don't I mean, maybe we feel good about that.
Oh yeah, not that many. I don't know what to
glean from that. Anything you have to call anybody for
emergencies not good. So I guess it's better not be
a full fledged fly Irish
