Alternate Titanic Ending

There is that terrible alternate ending of Titanic that is
going viral for some reason. Again, it went viral over
the weekend. It almost seems like it's a joke ending.
It's so bad. You're absolutely right.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Yes, I thought it was like a parody or something
like original comedy.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
This one has Old Rose haunting Bill Paxton with the
Heart of the Ocean, which was that necklace that she
posed neckadin or wearing before hurling it into the ocean
in the movie. As you know, she secretly drops it
down over the Titanic wreckage, but in this version she's like,
you know, here it is haunting everybody. You hold it first.

If you haven't seen that, here's a little here's a
kip of the alternate.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
Don't come any closers, I'll drop it. You had it
the entire time. The hardest partner pup being so poor,
was being so rich. Please think about this first second. Oh,

So that really sucks. Lady that was not a joke.
They were really gonna do that, right. I wonder if
they showed that to a test audience and after everything
they had been through, watching Leo DiCaprio on that door
die and all that, and they're like, wait a minute,
this is a this is a real slap in the face.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
That doesn't need a test audience to tell them that
that's bad. You should just James Cameron should have been like,
absolutely not and it.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
Was bad before you got to Beavis saying that really sucks,
Lady Eva, that really sucks, Lady.

Wow.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
Oh my goodness. By the way, although Bill Paxson passed
away a few years ago, in an interview before his death,
he acknowledged that it was bad. He said, quote the
alternate ending of Titanic, I mean I would have shot
Heroin to make the scene work better. That was Bill
Paxson talking about filming it. Yeah, Matthew McConaughey is talking

about how he auditioned to play Jack. He thought it
went well, but he didn't get offered the part. There
are rumors that he turned it down, but that's not true.
They just didn't give it to him.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
That wouldn't have been a right fit. I love Matthew McConaughey.
I think he's a great actor, but Leo deserved that role.
I thought the ending was Listen, I'm not gonna lie.
I fell asleep during that movie. It didn't need to
be eight hours. Linkedn't. And I'm also going to say
that movie was only Okay, it's not so great.

It's great.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
Oast it's great.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
It's great, it's just not, you know, offending Jay he
loves that movie. Well, here's the problem.

I did fall asleep, and I never went back to
fill in the blank.

Yeah, I thought I saw the end, which.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
Is why I helped held all that resentment towards Kate
Winslet all these years for not sharing the door. Okay,
so you got that part, right, got the ending. Yes,
she didn't share the door.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
I didn't share the door. I mean he was hanging
on to the door. But I thought, you know, with
the right kind of yeah, especially after some of the
things they did in the movie, clearly they lay it
on the door. Will there's a way but anyway, there

love all the extras, like I love watching how they
