Speaker 1 (00:00):
What a weekend. We had our big Cereal drive, or
one of two big Cereal drives. On Saturday, we went downriver.
We were at Kroger in Southgate and what a time
it was.
Speaker 2 (00:10):
It was fun was had by all. It really is
happening Downriver.
Speaker 1 (00:15):
We have like the best listeners ever we know all
over Metro Detroit and of course on the iHeart radio
app all over the country. But the Downriver listeners you
showed up and with love.
Speaker 3 (00:28):
They're hardcore.
Speaker 4 (00:29):
I mean there was one one guy was driving around
and hurt us on the radio. So he came and
stopped by got Cereal and he said, Oh, my wife
has an eye doctor appointment at eleven forty five. Yeah,
I'm gonna make her come here before that. And then
so she shows up. Yeah okay, because I remember him
saying that. But we met so many people.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
What about those what about those two ladies eighty four
eighty phil Phyllis and Shirley.
Speaker 1 (00:53):
Oh my god, Phyllis and Shirley are amazing.
Speaker 3 (00:55):
They made him. I think they made the rightest spot.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
Of the day.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
I've heard that in my notes, the brightest spot the dice.
Speaker 2 (01:01):
So they were, I mean, they's the kindest, sweetest energy.
Speaker 3 (01:06):
I'm like, you're a lot older than me and I am.
Speaker 4 (01:09):
They've lived next door to each other for like over
fifty nine years. They're best friends. She said. Both of
their husbands have since passed. They were best friends and
they were really close. And they said, Yeah, we eat
dinner together every night, and we're constantly doing things together.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
And it's like they've got like their own little partnership friendship.
They had their little Detroit sweatshirts on. One had lions,
one had tigers.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
Yeah, they're also hell bent about us coming down there
to eat dinner. We have to experience the restaurants too.
I said, all.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
Right, and they'll probably want to eat at three with me,
which is what I Yeah, I love who doesn't you know?
It was Warren's birthday Saturday and we went out to dinner.
Sandy came with us.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
Oh.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
I just brought it up now.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
Because you know you're with the right person when he
made the reservation for three.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
Oh, nice dinner.
Speaker 1 (01:59):
At that was a nice early dinner. Yes, that was
my question for you. The the honeynot Cheerios b stop by,
which was nice to see a lot of kids like
the adults got their picture with the.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
Honeymoon you as did hot Fireman.
Speaker 1 (02:14):
Oh that was the Trenton Fire Department, was.
Speaker 3 (02:16):
There, Yeah, Trusty missed out on that missed out? I did.
I was like five minutes late for that.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
Plus Nurse Pam and Wendy and all of our favorite
Children's Hospital Michigan dogs.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
Ceo the therapy dog, and Wilith came the beagle. And
then there was this shino eba. It looked like a
little red fox. His dad was holding them. It literally
looked like, yeah, little fox.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
I mean it was, and it is. It is kind
of the weekend of birthdays, right, because I mean it
was Warren's birthday Saturday, right. Our boss Colleen's birthday was yesterday, and.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
I sent her I sent her a happy birthday on
Friday because I've just been in birthday mode.
Speaker 1 (02:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
So, and they celebrated her, I think in the iHeart
Building on Friday.
Speaker 3 (02:59):
They Yeah, well, I was a little.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
Confused, She's coming in to see us today and we're
going to celebrate her today.
Speaker 2 (03:04):
And that's that's the that's the beauty of your birthday
being on a weekend. You can like claim that Friday
a little leftover on Monday.
Speaker 1 (03:11):
My girlfriend's birthdays today, birthday?
Speaker 3 (03:14):
What's the plan?
Speaker 1 (03:15):
Yeah, I think we're getting Chris Pelly's nice.
Speaker 3 (03:18):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
We do give card birthdays and holidays, so that's all
we do. We do the gift cards and make it
all about me. I just I just went through my
last eBay gift card. It's done. I'm all done. I
just bought my last thing on eBay. What the gift cards?
Speaker 3 (03:29):
That was it a plastic cube?
Speaker 1 (03:31):
It was a Brandon Flowers uh autograph?
Speaker 3 (03:34):
Oh nice?
Speaker 4 (03:36):
Now I think what's funny fuss Album is that you
think that just because the gift card is gone, like
you're no longer going to be buying things on eBay
And that's so false.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
Like today be out of his pocket now? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (03:50):
Yeah yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
Do you think that's going to matter to him? I'm
just glad that you treated myself on your girlfriend's birthday.
Speaker 1 (03:57):
Yeah, a gift for me?
Speaker 3 (04:00):
That sounds so me.
Speaker 1 (04:01):
My dad always says, it's not about you, it's all
about you. Would you so you went with Warren and
Sandy and you had a nice dinner. Yeah, three o'clock
dinner on Saturday.
Speaker 3 (04:11):
Yeah, at Paisano's in Ann Arbor.
Speaker 1 (04:14):
Did you give the was in her special hand signal
to us when you go in. Yeah, the Van Buren
boys know it.
Speaker 3 (04:19):
Right, it's the five. No, it's the four with the
thumb something.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (04:24):
But we did.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
We ate at three and Sandy didn't have any hair
appointments that day so she could she could eat at three.
Speaker 3 (04:31):
And uh, I don't know what it is.
Speaker 2 (04:33):
I I just think it's my I don't know what
it is, but servers are drawn to me. I had
a thing again with the servers.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
And right in front of your boyfriend.
Speaker 3 (04:42):
I was like, I'm really sorry that.
Speaker 2 (04:44):
You know, normally this happens when I'm in Vegas, but
apparently this is gonna happen right yere. Wow, I just
become the spokesperson for the table and then there's a
lot of eye contact.
Speaker 3 (04:52):
Then there's only talking directly to Oh.
Speaker 4 (04:54):
Gosh, did anyone else pick up on it or just yet?
I had to mention it first, and then they watched
for it. Well, you to mention it first.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
The I don't know when the energy of mister Chows
comes to anything possible, that's right.
Speaker 4 (05:08):
And one last birthday, my brother's birthday was yesterday.
Speaker 3 (05:12):
Oh birthday yeah, what is it? Birthday?
Speaker 2 (05:17):
June first has a lot. It seems like I want
to give Dorothy a shout out. She does this all
the time. She does it for our birthdays. She did
it for Warren. But you know the birthday, the birthday club,
it's the channel four right, oh.
Speaker 3 (05:29):
Yeah's and then she'll take us a picture of that,
so on your birthday channel.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
Say that's fine.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
I know it's so cute. Thank you, Dorothy.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
We all get along.
