Speaker 1 (00:00):
I'm excited to listen to the new Superman movies finally
out today, and you won't hear me talk about it
anymore after today, I'll be I'll move over, Yeah right,
I'll move on. Yeah right.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
We're going to talk about it on Monday. Everybody else
is going to go see you.
Speaker 3 (00:11):
Yeah, and you're going again tomorrow with your parents.
Speaker 1 (00:14):
Yeah, yeah, that might be fun family tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (00:16):
Fun out.
Speaker 1 (00:17):
Tried to go see that again one more time. Listen.
I so yesterday we gave a bunch of tickets away
to imagine to get there to see it before. By
the way, I think it made twenty one million dollars
on preview day. Oh my god, that's the preview day
was like Tuesday. It made twenty one million dollars. It's
going to be like now now the rotten tomatoes from
the fans. It was like at ninety five percent of Wow.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
Well, one of our listeners who won, she said, thank you.
We had a great time, absolutely loved the movie and
excited for the second one. Do you think did it
tee it up for another one or no?
Speaker 1 (00:46):
I think yeah, yeah for sure, Oh yeah, yeah, there's
there'll be more. Sure. It didn't get it didn't have
a cliffhanger, it just yeah, it established characters. So anyway,
so I knew that they were going to be because
I I went to the three forty showing to see it.
There was a three forty super Emacs presentation of it. Okay,
(01:07):
so I knew I was going to that. And I
went into what Is. I bounced to a couple of
theaters and said hi to people as they were going
in or coming out and say hi. So I was
kind of hanging out. I imagine now, I said, up
my computer. I hang out there like a second office.
So I did that, and I saw a couple of
Superman people, Superman shirts, a couple of Caepe Wonder people.
I got away.
Speaker 4 (01:25):
Yep.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
I got to see our friend Carl, who came up
from Ohio to see it. Wow. So it was good
to see him. So he came by. And then so
Dave Santia texted me. He says, I'm running a little
bit late. I'm getting ready for a fundraiser. I'm like, okay,
no problem, I said, you know, don't miss the beginning
of this movie, Dave. So I said, I have some
popcorn in here, but you know, and about so anyway,
(01:46):
the long and short of it is super remax. That
screen is so big, so I like to sit in
the last row for that, yeah, because I because yeah,
you know, you just don't want to be right up
on that screen. So it was very dark at the
beginning of the movie, like super dark beause theaters are
all all the lights right and just have your And
Dave is like ten foot seven. Yeah, Dave's like he
he's the tallest human being I'm friends with or no,
(02:07):
I mean, he's taller than any basketball player and he's
super tall. And Dave Santia is a speed painter. So
Dave will go out to charity events and start painting
things upside down and you're like, what is this to
like six minutes of music, and then he spins the
thing around and you're like, oh my god, I can't
believe it. It's Jared. God, it's Jared right right right, That's
that's Dave Santia. So Dave's out there. So so he
(02:29):
texts me, he's like I'm here. I'm like, okay, I said,
just you just go go to the desk. Tell me
do what Jay Towers, it's your your seat X this
or whatever. So I see Dave coming up. You know
the stadium seating there, right, see Dave coming up. So
you know my phone I didn't have off, but I
had the like it was dimm er. Yeah, it was
like dim like this. But I'm in the middle and
(02:50):
I see him coming up, and so I'm holding my
phone up dim like just like I'm here because I
don't want to yell for him.
Speaker 3 (02:57):
Right, So Dave, the movie was already head started, right, So.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
Dave like comes up and he starts making his way
down the aisle and then all of a sudden, you
hear like, oh, and it's like Dave just sat on
a person. Oh my gosh, Like he couldn't see he's
nine foot nine, and like he like like the seat
he chose, and I think he just like thought, you know,
I'm not gonna find Jay, I'll just sit in this
(03:22):
emptyc It's just Dave sat on someone. So then he
gets up and I see him like motioning like I'm
a sorry or something like that. So Dave starts moving
down and then he like gives up and he's like
and I think he's gonna start walking out, and then
he sits down again and you hear like ow, and
I'm like, finally I got up, like in the theater
with the movie, I'm.
Speaker 4 (03:41):
Like, dang, oh my, he sat on two people.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
It was so dark and he's just tall up there.
He got down and it was darkness, so he sat down.
It was almost a sold out theater. That is so funny.
Speaker 3 (03:57):
That is so funny. I thought you were gonna was
gonna be he stepped on toes, dumped over somebody his defense.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
I mean, once the movie starts, everybody's reclining. I imagine
it's like they're getting dental surgery. I mean, everybody's feeder
up in their heads back and they're all like relaxed.
Speaker 4 (04:15):
And uh, I can say, of all my mishaps in
my life, I've never sat on a person ever, let
alone look two times.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
Now, did people start yelling at you when you were yelling?
Speaker 1 (04:29):
No, I think people were happy that I instructed him over,
so I think it was okay.
Speaker 2 (04:34):
Now, see if that was me, if that had happened
to me, I would have to leave the theater and
never show my face ever again.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
Well, luckily it was dark, so your only humiliation was
that you know you're somebody.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
No one knew he was yeah, but when you're ten
feet tall those people.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
Allison's going to see Superman today with Warren.
Speaker 3 (04:55):
Yeah, and you said that, Uh, Dave was a little late,
so we missed the beginning. And that's and you have
instructed you do not want to miss the beginning. It's
very It's just.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
That is being really nice, he said Allison. I swear
to God, if you missed the first two minutes, don't
even bother going to see the movie.
Speaker 4 (05:15):
Oh yeah, it's funny when you when you re say
things people say it sounds really terrible.
Speaker 3 (05:21):
I took it as, uh, I'm looking out for you,
I'm looking out for you.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
Well, he is looking out for you, but he's also
sending you a major warnhad.
Speaker 4 (05:30):
How to do how to watch Superman the right way?
Speaker 1 (05:33):
Do it right
