Speaker 1 (00:00):
Fox the News headlines obviously the big story of this
gunman yesterday ramming his truck through the front doors of
a church in Grand Blank, the Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter day Saints. It's a suburb of Flint. If
you don't know Grand Blank, you know, just to the
north of us. Happened around ten to twenty five. Four
people are confirmed dead and some remain unaccounted for. He

(00:23):
had eight people injured, seven in stable condition, want and critical.
This forty year old Iraq war veteran from Burton, Michigan,
was killed in a shootout with police just minutes after
the attack, you could know, lit the church on fire.
So if the situation wasn't bad enough, he made it
even worse by now adding fire into the mix.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Cops got there in like eight minutes or something like that.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
Yeah, yeah, and it was just a rough day for people.
The FBI is leading the investigation, calling it an act
of targeted violence, and a motive has not been released.
So we'll continue to follow this. It's the big story
were talking about, obviously. I'm Fox Checker out the morning
getting reaction. I know our friend Robin Murdoch is up
there right now. Covering it, so we'll keep an eye
on that. Some good news the Lions beating Cleveland thirty

(01:12):
four to ten yesterday, making it three one seas. Yeah,
good game. And remember remember the talk yesterday. The talk,
I mean on Friday. The talk was, oh, Cleveland, it
could be a real problem for the Lions. And that
didn't seem to be a problem.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
So I watched the game with friends yesterday, and you know,
I get a little annoyed.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
They're all a part of this fantasy football and they
all bet on on players and games and yards ran
and stuff, and that's all that they cared about. And
you know, if if Gibbs got the ball and made
the touchdown and they wanted Jamo to be the one
to get it, then they were all ticked off. And
I'm like, you know what, I'm done listening to you guys.

(01:52):
Finally at halftime, I was like, I'm out of here.
I'm going to watch the game in piece because I
don't care who makes the touchdown as long as someone.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
Makes that happen.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
Funny, like, yeah, the game, just to watch it for
the win, because you want to see the Lions win. Great,
But then you have this old other segment. People that
are like wit, No, he needed to score because that
would have got me here exactly.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
That would have made me two hundred bucks.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
And then my friend Laurel's not having any confidence in
Jake Baits. I'm like, Jod Bates has never never steered
us wrong.

Speaker 4 (02:20):
Do you want to come over and listen to the
game on the radio with Warren?

Speaker 2 (02:25):
Yeah, he won't do any of that.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Jake Baits, by the way, nailed two huge field goals,
including one from fifty eight yards out. She worried about Jay.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
Shut up, Laura, show Laurel.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
That's what I said said, take your bad attitude and.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Go somewhere else.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
Here's a clear here here. Put this on your phone
as a renew ringtone. Shut up, Laurel.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Yeah, I'm just.

Speaker 4 (02:46):
I'm having a sidepot over here about all the stuff Chelsea.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
Did this weekend.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
I'm like, who are you? I was so busy, right,
she had a Jay weekend. I know it's National Coffee Day.
Everyone's talking about coffee. Portland, Oregon, tops the annual list
of best coffee cities. Coffee prices are up, but many
places have deals, and sixty six percent of US dring
coffee every single day we do.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
We have only sixty six percent. That's it. What are
the rest you people do?

Speaker 3 (03:12):
And I don't know how A lot of people drink tea.
Some people start their day with like hot lemon water.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Well, you're annoying Portland. You be friends with Laurel.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
Yeah, right, Laurel.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
You choice.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
They say Detroit Detroite is one of the worst for
coffee at number ninety seven. What why do we like,
how do we even fit into this?

Speaker 2 (03:37):
I don't.

Speaker 4 (03:37):
I just think people say stuff like I don't understand.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
What do you mean worst.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
Best coffee, best coffee cities in America? Yeah, based on
local coffee popularity, coffee roaster shops, coffee spending. So Portland
came in one, then Orlando. Well yeah, because it's the
most visited city in the world, isn't it? Per day
long Beach California, Seattle, Tampa, San Francis. Go off, We're
number ninety seven for coffee.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
New York didn't make the top ten.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
Ay Jungle where Dreams Are Made.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
That's crazy.

Speaker 4 (04:08):
If they're talking about little hole in the wall coffee
places outside of your big chains. Maybe I don't know
how many of those we have, but I think we're
in the coffee game pretty hard. Yeah. I mean even
Meyer gas station, I was in there and I was like,
I'll just get a coffee here. Even at the gas
station there is a major coffee set up, all these
flavored surrup of course dreams. Yeah, I'm like, Wow, it's a.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
Way of life. Yeah, it's an absolute way of life.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
All right.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
One other story I thought was interesting, kind of the
light side here today. But foods that were healthy in
the eighties are considered to be healthy eighties that like that.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
We were anymore, like fruit juice.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Like a cup of oj has the same amount of
sugar as five oranges, Granola bars, lean cuisine low in
protein and high and sodium. Some of them were delicious
but not great for you.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
See I will.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
I still get sucked into the lean cuisine every once
in a while. I'm like, well, the fetichinil freda with
chicken can't be that bad.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
I know, I should.

Speaker 4 (05:07):
I don't, though, And I have this conversation with Warren
all the time. I care about somethings fat, saturated fat,
things like that. I'm not I'm not there with sodium yet.
I do not care because I eat ramen and He's like, God,
I wish you wouldn't do that, And I'm like, I
wish you'd be quiet. I'm like, I use like ramen
is good. I'm not arguing. He's like, there's so much sodium.

(05:28):
I'm like, I don't care. I'm picking my battles and
sodium is not one of them.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
I blew a casket this weekend over soft drinks and beverages.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
What do you mean.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
Because after the after the incident and the dehydration, Oh, like,
what does my girl do? She does nice things. She
goes and gets all this gatoried and different flavors. Yeah,
well she didn't get the Gatorade zero and I didn't
know that.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
So you're gonna be a big fat baby over that.
Warn switched to the really too.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
Yeah, guess what what? Catorade zero has zero sugar okay,
and like one carb in it. So I'm like noticing
that I've gained four pounds this past week. I'm like,
how did I gain four pounds?

Speaker 2 (06:09):
Uh huh?

Speaker 1 (06:09):
And I'm looking, I'm going this is this is regular gatorade?
Like you're drinking like forty seven carbs and like twenty
nine grams of showing what is this. I said, I'm
kept drinking as much Gatorade as owls and drinks.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
Cold I did.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
I said that I don't drink coke.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
Right, you might as well. I was a tyrant over. Wow,
that's the last nice thing that she does for you.
Do you have to buy your own gatorade now?

Speaker 1 (06:34):
Pretty much?

Speaker 2 (06:35):
Yeah? I'm sure you're making me fat.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
You know it.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
That's a diabolical plan. You are two spelts. I can't
have it. Goodbye.
