Speaker 1 (00:00):
I always feel like it's a funny thing to say

(00:02):
on the air. I'd probably say it all there, but
I always feel like we're having such a fun good
show When all the notes I put down in front
of me of things I want to talk about with you.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
We don't get to that window. That's that's you know,
that is the formula.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
I haven't done any of these foxes.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Yeah, that's when you when you don't need what you plan, right,
that is, But that's good. All your best program directors
tell you that. Yes, Well, the show happens organically.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Comerica Park is in the news today. This is interesting.
So this grounds crew guy was injured while raking between
innings yesterday and heard his leg. It looked painful. So
the camera zooms in on this guy and I saw
Ryan Ormanni put this up on his Facebook like a
screenshot something. Yeah, And he makes eye contact with the

(00:46):
camera and then he flips off the camera. And it's
a Major League Baseball I mean, it's it's like it's
like a it's.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
So many questions. Do you want to play something fer ye?

Speaker 2 (00:56):
I hope this guy's okay.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
Part of the grounds crew hurt. One of the EMTs
is coming out. It doesn't look like he's too comfortable,
so help, it's just a leg and something not too serious.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Yikes, can't do that. Can't do that. So a couple
of things.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
First of all, I didn't know that you could hurt
yourself in a rake incident.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
You could hurt something.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
I mean, I know you can step on a rake
and maybe bonk yourself.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
And stand under the dirt pile.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
Or which, by the way, we've never seen anybody do,
but we've seen it in cartoons a lot.

Speaker 4 (01:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Also, why are we raking during a game?

Speaker 3 (01:34):
Can we get our landscaping done prior to the players
taking the field?

Speaker 2 (01:38):
That's part of it. I think that's part of it.
You shouldn't have.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
People that don't go to baseball games discuss that.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
I have no idea. I went to a baseball game.
Yeah I know. See the picture, Yeah, yeah you do.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
And also maybe he just flipped off the camera because
he's like not supposed to be a star of this
game and was irritated that caught his embarrassing.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
Maybe maybe yeah, I mean, I'm.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
Not laughing, but it's a rake injury.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
If you blot your achilles, right, that's super paint.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
I forget it. I get it, and.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
I'm thinking maybe he I don't know, maybe he.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
Just has a moment off of me. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
There have been moments when I've been in the car
and maybe somebody cut you off or something, and I
like have to catch myself to go crazy because I'm
not in a position where I'm allowed to do that.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
I know, isn't that.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
I mean, I can't put online nasty reviews out against
people who I feel have wronged me because your pictures
right now, get.

Speaker 4 (02:34):
Picture to Speaking of the Tigers, I drove past the
old Tiger Stadium yesterday in Corktown because I went out
to lunch at the Mercury Bar.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
Have you guys ever been there?

Speaker 1 (02:46):
No?

Speaker 4 (02:47):
It was really good. We're gonna, oh, We're gonna have
to go sometime because they have really good burgers. They've
got like cheese fries, poutine fries, all that good stuff.
And I was out there and then drove past Tiger
Stadium and was like, oh my gosh, I I had
no idea that this was here. Chelsea goes to lunches now.
She just tried to rope us into one.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
I know. I find I've had nothing on the books
for lunches, and now I have two next week?

Speaker 2 (03:09):
You do two lunch? Are you trying to one up me?

Speaker 4 (03:10):
Now?

Speaker 2 (03:11):
No, it just happened that way. Now you're trying to
one up me. Tony want to lunch with Tony?

Speaker 1 (03:16):
Well, I just want pizza, So I said, Oh, Tony
want to go to lunch.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
But I'm just having that pizza in a.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
While, Okay, and then and then our friend Nick.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
You know.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
So anyway, A couple other headlines this morning.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
This is a big one.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
A two hundred and seventy million dollar plan to reshape
part of Nova is facing resistance from neighbors concerned about traffic.
Go ahead, It's not she, the developer behind suburban Collection Showplace,
wants to build Nova City West, featuring a hotel, new homes,
and an entertainment district along Grand River. The project has

(03:53):
been in the work for forks for eight years, but
still needs approval.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
What's going on in Nov that they don't want stuff?

Speaker 3 (03:59):
No?

Speaker 4 (03:59):
But I do under stand, Like I'm picturing that area,
it's already a busy area. I can't imagine how many
more cars are going.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
To be Listen, Eric, when I go to MotorCity Comic Con,
would you go on Saturday morning, Yeah, you line up
on Nova Road. Yeah, at the corner of Grand River
and then it's what is almost a mile to the
Suburban Collection showplay. That's just that day. So I'm sure
if you live there, it's probably Yeah, you're probably stressed

(04:28):
about more people out in that area.

Speaker 4 (04:29):
My mom worked in Nova for years at Michigan Cat
It's like right on ten Mile, and we live on
ten Mile in South Lyons, So technically it should take
her no more than fifteen minutes to get home, but
because of how busy Nova Road is and Nova in general,
it would take her sometimes almost forty forty five minutes
to get home from work.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
I do that's insane. I do get it.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
I mean a million years ago when I lived in
South Lyon, like I was nineteen, Like we lived in
South Lion when we first moved down here. I can
remember when Nova was twelve folks, red lobster a thing.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
Yeah, that's right, that was it. Yeah, that was what
was going on in NOV.

Speaker 4 (05:07):
So I do think that it'd be cool to add
all that stuff. But I understand where they're coming from.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
Here's something I get invited to every year, and I
finally stopped getting invited the Mackinall Island, the policy conference there,
you get invited. I always get invited.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
Yeah, wow, I thought it was just for like and shakers.

Speaker 3 (05:23):
I mean, I know you're a mover and a shaker,
and are.

Speaker 4 (05:26):
You trying to say that I'm not mover and shaker.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
Do you get invited as a some sort of government official.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
No, I get invited to go up there just because
you get invited by people sometimes get you very fancy,
and you know, that's the last thing I'd ever want
to do.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
Helicopter in didn't Paul do that one?

Speaker 4 (05:42):
Did?

Speaker 2 (05:43):
He did? Didn't?

Speaker 1 (05:43):
Yeah, totast the rules.

Speaker 4 (05:45):
Yes it was he like landed at a spot he's
not supposed to be landing.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
It's so great, Jay, I want you to mention my
helicopter friends.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
They gave you a ride my light tours. They were
the best, by the way.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
Or they ever were great, great cop partners. About you, advertisership.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
If you ever want to get a tour of the city,
