Speaker 1 (00:00):
Got a couple of Fox to News headlines today. Spirit
Airline says it may not survive another year without raising
more money. The airline just emerged from bankruptcy months ago,
and they're looking at selling engines, aircraft, real estate, adding
premium occupancy, premium economy options. I don't I guess I
don't understand what happens here. I mean, you come out

(00:22):
of bankruptcy, and the only thing that sticks out to
me about Spirit right now is just how heavy their
commercial campaign was for those big seats. They're like, now
you can sit like a rock star in bigger seats,
And I'm like, oh.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Well, and you could pay to be almost like a
member to to get good seats and not have to
pay so many fees for like your bags and stuff
like that.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
Did that not work? That was a big campaign.

Speaker 3 (00:48):
Spirit doesn't have first class, do they? They have the
big front seat, okay, and there's a couple.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
Of them, but maybe they've adjusted the planes.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
I don't know, but we'll seek.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
I mean, you know, with any like anything else, you're
you're going to them because you want to cheaper ticket.
But once you get your bags on there and all
that stuff on there, it kind of becomes a normal
I can.

Speaker 4 (01:06):
Just tell you from selling when I was out of
work for that period of time and I sold every
single thing in my apartment.

Speaker 3 (01:12):
When it gets to the point where you.

Speaker 4 (01:13):
Have to sell off all your stuff, you're really at
the end of the ideas.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
So thankfully I wasn't an organization. Here's the thing, though,
they can come back better than ever. Look at Bed
Bath and Beyond.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
They're coming back is like bed Bath and Beyond.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
What and home?

Speaker 1 (01:30):
Look at red lobster right now after at a banker,
I'm just saying.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
Flavor flavor, help spirit, maybe make a flavor flave air.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
The Detrade people mover is closing two hours early through
Thursday night for construction at the Second Avenue redevelopment site.
Instead of running until midnight, it'll stop at ten pm
normal hours.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
Return Friday morning. There's a news headline that is or Warren,
what do you got? Did I not do it yet? No,
you haven't.

Speaker 5 (02:04):
And I'm pretty sure this is what he watches the DCFC. Oh, yeah,
is that the soccer, the Detroit soccer. Yeah, he doesn't
just watch it. He will not miss a game. He
is way into it.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
That's great. I mean, that's what they want. They want more.

Speaker 5 (02:18):
He knows the names of the players, he knows the
two commentators.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
He's got feelings about stuff.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
Since you guys go into a game at some point, well,
that's silly.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
They've unveiled plans for a new stadium in Corktown, at
the site of the vacant Southwest Detroit Hospital. Fifteen thousand
seat venue is expected to open in twenty twenty seven.
The team currently plays in ham Trammick And guess what
I mean.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
When we did the tour of Michigan Central Station, did
they tell us about it? That's what I thought.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
She kept saying, like, and that's going to be the
site of yeah Street, Yeah yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:50):
If he weren't watching that, I would have I wouldn't
have understood what any I would have been like Detroit
City Fire Council.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
Should I get him some trading cards?

Speaker 3 (02:59):
Maybe they have some tops, God, he would love that.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
A little book that goes with them little and then
you can sell them. Tonight's Powerball jackpot is five hundred
and twenty six million dollars after no winner on Monday night,
the cash option is about two hundred and forty one million.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
If I win.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
I will continue Jay's Juniors and you'll never see me again.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
All right. I thought we would buy a radio station. Oh,
I'll do that, and he's going to give us money.
We're not going to need to work. Oh you'll never
see any of us the win win for now. Yeah,
of course we would do this. It would just be
fun to do with no pressure.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
No pressure, and it'll be from like Alaskan cruises.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
Yeah, I still want to buy that radio station.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
Just tell the funny show you Know and Love where
Alison is stationed at a radio station she wants to
buy and Jay's nowhere to be found.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
First we have to fire everyone that works there.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
Oh my.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
Allison, I hope it happens. To build a bridge, did
and move on? Listen. Sometimes it resurfaces, you know.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
I hope it happens. I hope it happens on your
tenth anniversary of being on our show. It's a real
cherry on top.
