Fox to News headlines. Hundreds of homes in Oakland County
are still without water after a massive water main breaks.
Several schools closed, residents lining up at stations for water,
and crews are still working to fix the problem. Yesterday afternoon,
that water was still gushing out of that street and
it was just a mess.
Speaker 2 (00:17):
And this started. We were on the area yesterday. I mean,
I don't know. We got that.
Speaker 1 (00:20):
We did the breaker on TV about eight thirty maybe
eight fifteen, and they were starting to close schools. You'd
be surprised. I mean, I shouldn't say you'd be surprised
because we know this already, but you would think, like,
of all the things, a water main break is like, well,
they've got to fix that, but it does affect like
you can't have school in session without running water.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
There's so many things you can't do without running water.
Speaker 3 (00:40):
Can I make a suggestion all cities and municipalities, Yeah,
get that spray that they spray on canoes. I saw
the infomer Yeah, like spray the bottom of your canoe.
It'll never crack a leek.
Speaker 4 (00:55):
Did that stuff?
Speaker 5 (00:55):
Spray it on all like a couple of towels over it,
and maybe just so.
Speaker 4 (01:01):
You got to cork it up Chelsea to get a sealant.
Speaker 1 (01:04):
Michigan leaders say they've reached a bipartisan budget deal ahead
of the deadline and includes two billion dollars a year
for road repairs, tax relief for workers and seniors, and
more money for schools and new rules for transparency. All
makers are expected to finalize it before October first.
Speaker 2 (01:22):
Which would hopefully, you know, avoid a shutdown in Michigan.
Speaker 4 (01:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:25):
I'm just blown away by just our little state being
able to get two billion.
Speaker 4 (01:29):
Where's that where to come from? And that's awesome?
Speaker 3 (01:31):
Knows But it seems to me like if all of
the states in our country got two billion, right, we
should be real good.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
I guess you can guess you can't really stretch the
billions as much as you think.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
I don't know. It seems like an endless amount of money.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
So when you think about like the debt and all that,
which I don't understand, but when you hear those numbers,
you can't. The President signed in order to shift tiktoks
to US operations to an American run consortium led by Oracle,
Dell and Silver Lake, China's Byte Dance keep minority stake
officials have one hundred and twenty days to finalize the deal.
Speaker 2 (02:04):
But I don't know. I mean, that's I guess that's
a good thing.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
I mean, listen, we already knew a year ago or
two years ago that when you're on TikTok it's pretty
much profile and everything you do and snooping you and
now and it was another country doing that, so now
it falls under the United States.
Speaker 4 (02:20):
But I mean, why is TikTok get singled out?
Speaker 3 (02:24):
I mean, isn't that happening if you have a presence
online in general.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
Without a doubt. But it's just it was a company
owned by China doing it.
Speaker 3 (02:32):
Where like so Morgan's Americans, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
Okay, America, you want, you want America. You're from somewhere else,
you get out of my dms. Costco says opening an
hour earlier for executive members is paying off. Sales are
up one percent, executive membership sign ups jump nine percent
last quarter.
Speaker 3 (02:54):
Well, I do think I'm not a Costco member, but
I do like special I like preferential treatment.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
Yeah, I really do.
Speaker 4 (03:01):
I do. I love it.
Speaker 3 (03:02):
So if you're giving an hour just to me because
I'm you know, a plus member, remember during.
Speaker 5 (03:08):
COVID from like seven to eight or eight to nine,
like Costco Sam's grocery stores. It was like that's when
seniors can die in, or that's how nurses can come in.
Speaker 4 (03:19):
Yeah, that was wild.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
The Lions face the Cleveland Browns this Sunday, one o'clock.
What a time it will be downtown. Last time we
had a big home game like that, we were down
for Jimmy fallon and we saw how the city was alive, alive.
Speaker 3 (03:34):
Yeah, I just want to sort of relative to headlines,
I just want to point out also that shows how
I'm going through my show prep. But I really enjoy
how you your new way of stapling things as opposed
to this being under with one staple where I can.
Speaker 4 (03:51):
Lift I just flip you know. Did you notice how
I did?
Speaker 5 (03:55):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (03:59):
I do, because I mean I was like, what you
stapled it all together? I can't flip it open? And
then I was like, Eureka, h that's brognant.
Speaker 5 (04:08):
Thank you?
Speaker 2 (04:10):
Oh good.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
Well, I'm glad to give you a new Eureka moment today.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
