the animals and needles foot, yes, yes.

the terrible breaking news story yesterday about the shooting at
that church in Grand Blank, Michigan, which has become really
a worldwide story right now. And I've just been covering
all day yesterday, so terrible. Just another another terrible chapter
in our world here that we'll get into. It is
(01:35):

thinking about poor Zach all weekend.

I mean, he's a man.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
He was it was that did not come in from
his life card joke.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
You did not? Okay, No, I felt. I felt, you know,
we're all real balls here on this show with our comments,
and so I'm sitting there on and I'm like ready
to go. Do you have any topical? All right, Jake
Towers in the morning on Demand, here's the Hollywood Minute

Paris Hilton, Ed Sheeron, and so much more. Meryl Streep

You were in my line.
Speaker 4 (03:19):
Taylor and Ed Sheeran were among those who gave it
speeches during the reception, and I am hearing that she
did end up making it to Travis's game the next day.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (03:28):
I spent the day with Selena Gomez yesterday. Why do
you say I started murders?
Speaker 2 (03:32):

There were six.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
Episodes banged and I was like, okay, I can start now.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
Excellent.
Speaker 4 (03:36):
Yeah, bad Bunny going to be headlining the twenty twenty
sixth Super Bowl halftime Show. The official announcement was made
during the Green Bay Packers in Dallas Cowboys game on
Sunday Night Football. This is going to take place Sunday,
February eighth at Levi Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Now,
I have no idea if there's any truth to this.
I think everyone knows that the Super Bowl halftime show
(03:57):
is free and you're like your next big album or
you know whatever. Sources are saying that Taylor Swift turned
it down because she didn't want to do it for free.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
I can't need any more money.
Speaker 2 (04:09):
Now.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
I don't believe that.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
I don't believe that, Yeah, you do super Bowl halftime
show for the prestige of I did the halftime show.
I don't think. I think you do it for free, right.
Maybe you're dancers and the people that need to survive
do it for money. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
But the money comes from the boost that you get
and whatever you have that's out there.
Speaker 4 (04:27):
Hu Zach Ryan just headlined the largest ticketed concert in
US history, and I was there and we still don't
know who he is. It's weird, that's not true. So
it was at the Big House in ann Arbor. There
were one hundred and twelve thousand, four hundred and eight
fans in attendance. Zach saying twenty six songs and said
(04:47):
thank you for the best night of my life. John
Mayer opened the show, saying some of his biggest hits,
including slow Dancing in a Burning Room which is my favorite,
and Gravity. This show also set a merchandise sales record
of five million dollar.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
It's funny, Chelsea.
Speaker 3 (05:02):
And our friends Luyne and Debbie drove into the Wolverine Den. Yeah,
and I couldn't get the h out of there?
Speaker 2 (05:09):
Could It's so funny, Like, did you look at social
media from the weekend? It was easier to find people.
It was harder to find people, not at the show
to tell everybody was at that show.
Speaker 4 (05:20):
I know for a lot of us. And finally, one
Battle after Another with Leonardo DiCaprio is the new number
one movie in for the box office. It brought in
forty eight point five million dollars. Will believe Gabby's Dollhouse
the movie. Do you guys remember seeing that preview cinema
con Yeah, that finished in second.
Speaker 1 (05:38):
Place, followed by Demon Slayer in third.
Speaker 4 (05:41):
TV Tonight we have Monday Night Football and the Voice.
Speaker 2 (05:44):
Hey, congratulations to the Detroit Lions. What a win over
Cleveland yesterday. That makes us happy. There's a lot going
on in the city. It was a super busy weekend
we'll explain. Plus just a terrible situation that happened in
Grand Blank. I want to kind of go the details
and what we know and how that investigation is going,
as well as we get ready for Monday in the
(06:07):
Motor City. Weatherwise, today, Allen Longstreet says we are looking
at sunshine and a high of eighty one.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
Well, he could come in here and say it himself.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
He should.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
He should, mister Monday's off.
Speaker 2 (06:23):
What a weekend. So much happened this week much to
talk about. I don't know where to even begin. I
guess I guess start first with Friday. Yeah, okay, yeah,
so Friday Friday, I went and got the stitches out.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
Yes, it looks great.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
Physicians just a physician's assistant. Zach got the stitches out
and was like, whoa bro?
Speaker 4 (06:41):
What you do know?
Speaker 1 (06:43):
Was he like twenty two?
Speaker 2 (06:44):
Like we were in I feelt but you know, we
had a conversation as we talked about the show. Yeah,
you know, he knows we joked about him on the show,
and like, I almost I feel bad now because it's
almost insulting to say, like, oh, you're almost a doctor.
It's like a physician's assistant is no different than like
being in the nursing field. But there's a job. Job,
that's what he'll do. I mean, he does they know,
I mean they yeah, yeah. I mean it's not like
(07:06):
he's like a lot of people think like you're in
line to be a doctor when you're and you're not.
That's a position. That's his position. And he was so
I mean he said, yeah, it's probably better if you
if you lay down, and I'm like, I lay down
on the thing and on the paper, the crinkly paper
and I said, is it, like, is it gonna it's
gonna hurt or this stitch is going to stick to
the And he's like, I don't because I think maybe
(07:27):
you might have a little discomfort. He goes, I don't
think so, and he just like he's like just you know,
I gotta get in there, and and like so I'm
sitting there waiting for the worst, and it's like snip.
He's like, first one, snipe it one. Like in my
mind it was going to be snip and pull and
there's there was nothing. There's there's gonna be pulling, Like.
Speaker 4 (07:47):
Yeah, I thought there was a little bit of pulling,
but I did tell you that there was going to
be you're just going to cut them and then they're
just going to take them out.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
Yeah, it was it was nothing, I know. But like
in my mind, I'm thinking, when you're read a big
is it going to be like this? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (08:02):
It was like one grand pole, right, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
I get it.
Speaker 1 (08:05):
Well, we're so happy that you made it through, that
I made it through.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
Problem.
Speaker 4 (08:08):
Did you get a topical?
Speaker 2 (08:09):
I did not get a topical? You did need one, Nope.
Speaker 4 (08:12):
Did you get a sucker at the end?
Speaker 2 (08:14):
I did not get a sucker at the end.
Speaker 4 (08:15):
Did get a sucker at the end.
Speaker 2 (08:18):
No, that was great, So that went really well. Then
I'm on so I had to head down to the Hollywood Casino,
a Greek town, which I'll tell you about in a minute.
But I'm on my way. I'm getting ready to head
downtown and I get a message on my phone from
a number that I don't know. Okay, and I get this.
Speaker 4 (08:39):
Hey, Jay, I just wanted to send my lessons and
my prayers out to you.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
I know you got in an accident. I just want
to tell you get well. So I love you. My
gout skill A baby sent me baby. How great was that?
Speaker 4 (08:58):
Ohow, that's really really nice, super nice. That's so sweet.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
Yeah, and and DJ and thank you to her, And
I mean that was nice. They both they both have
been like checking on me throughout the week. I got
how sweet, sweet do that school baby was shot? This year?
I don't worry about me, I know, I mean what
a year. I mean, I have this happen.
Speaker 1 (09:17):
Yeah, they're almost the same.
Speaker 2 (09:21):
Yeah, so thank you for still a baby. That was nice.
On Friday, I got On Friday, I went down to
Hollywood Casino, a Greek town to meet up with Aaron Smolinsky,
who played a little Superman and Superman the movie coming out,
you know, lifting the truck and all that, with his
son Logan, who's a huge Zach Bryan fan, and we
said everybody went to that concert. Yes, so we you know,
(09:43):
we went down there and they had a beautiful room
at Hollywood Casino, a Greek town. But you know his
son is eighteen, Yeah, and he's a big hockey player. Yeah,
bigger than Aaron, right, smaller than him, right, So so
you know we went to I took them to.
Speaker 4 (09:58):
You couldn't go to Prism because he can't get in.
Speaker 2 (09:59):
The can't get into the casino.
Speaker 1 (10:01):
No, and why you did go there was so great?
Speaker 2 (10:05):
She goes, I will let me, let me take you,
let me send you guys here. I'm like, no, no, no,
you're good. The room is so beautiful.
Speaker 1 (10:10):
Son, can't get in?
Speaker 2 (10:11):
Is that everything's in the casino? You can't Yeah, I
can't get in the casino to.
Speaker 1 (10:14):
Get to the other right, yeah, okay.
Speaker 2 (10:17):
But anyway, I called Christo's and I took them to
London chop House.
Speaker 1 (10:20):
Oh my gosh, it's great.
Speaker 2 (10:22):
Two serve Amanda my favorite. And we had this great meal,
and it was it was really good. We talked about
like just you know, about life and like I told
you when you we never talked about Superman. We talk
about like life and especially his son. But his son
played hockey in in Henderson last year his junior year
of high school. He left Colorado went to Vegas and like,
(10:43):
you stay with a host family and you play like
hockey almost professionally, like leally go And he's like, oh, yeah,
I went to where was. I went out in the
desert and saw the Killers. And I'm like, you saw
the Killers?
Speaker 1 (10:57):
What it was such a side note for him was
Zach Bryant.
Speaker 2 (11:03):
He's like, I I have some videos on my phone,
like send them to me right now. And typical kid,
you know, he sends me like he's nine second coach. Yeah.
I'm like, who goes to a Killer show and doesn't
tape the whole song?
Speaker 5 (11:14):
Right?
Speaker 1 (11:14):
That's what fits into his insta story, right Yeah.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
And he's like, well, I I typically I go to show.
I want to enjoy the show.
Speaker 4 (11:20):
And I was like, okay, children every song, so my guys.
Speaker 2 (11:26):
So that was fun. Here's a Hollywood casino at Greektown.
Great place. There's no better place to bring your son
to show him the fun of Detroit than Hollywood is
absolutely And then I run into you and I didn't
even know he was coming out at Allow And here's
the You guys are going to a big concert US
concert Zach Bryan tomorrow Michigan Stadium. John Mayer. We went
(11:47):
to the London chalk House for No saw Christo's the
best signing Superman pictures and eating steak and butter and
and no alcohol, no alcohol, alcohol, all right, and he
signed a nice one.
Speaker 4 (12:00):
No.
Speaker 2 (12:00):
Well, he's got a kid and he doesn't drink, and
I am not. You know, I didn't drink.
Speaker 1 (12:03):
So there was a lot of clubs after your medical
incident for.
Speaker 2 (12:06):
My medical emergency, I'm just not even going to drink
alcohols to add that to.
Speaker 1 (12:10):
The medical marvel. So you need to really But he signed.
Speaker 2 (12:13):
A nice Superman picture to the London chop House, which
they did.
Speaker 4 (12:16):
Yeah, oh that's cool. And you did see chrystals. Did
he just appear?
Speaker 2 (12:22):
Yeah? Okay?
Speaker 4 (12:23):
Did he only come knowing that you were coming?
Speaker 1 (12:26):
Or does he like the restaurant?
Speaker 2 (12:27):
Think he comes? You know, I think he's like Sam
and cheers.
Speaker 4 (12:31):
He probably is at the point in his career where
he doesn't need to be there every single days are
building too, he's not around.
Speaker 2 (12:37):
There all the time. Well, I was happy he was there.
Speaker 1 (12:39):
I know we have too much to talk about, so,
but I really want to know what everyone ate.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
They each got a New York strip and I got
a six oundile a.
Speaker 4 (12:49):
Because you're yeah, apause knew as going to be a
part of mashed potato or anything.
Speaker 2 (12:58):
We did get a mashed potato.
Speaker 1 (12:59):
Well what about lobster mac and cheese?
Speaker 2 (13:01):
No, no, didn't get that, but got a nice Uh,
I gotta I think I got a I got a
crap cake from cocktail.
Speaker 4 (13:07):
She's not really fun anymore. Yeah, I don't know if
you've noticed that.
Speaker 2 (13:10):
All right, Well I think I'm fun. So then so
after dinner we went back to the hotel to a
couple of pictures and that was it. And then on Saturday,
you know, I was home. We were doing we're cleaning
the house and my girl's giving the dog a bath
and all that stuff. And Aaron texted and he said,
you know, we've got some time to kill before we
go to the Big House. And Logan would really love
(13:32):
to see your Superman office. And I said, Okay, I said, logan.
Speaker 1 (13:35):
Care about Superman or is sometimes when your parents.
Speaker 2 (13:38):
Are like like he's a level four out of ten. Okay,
But I think there's curiosity because I had that big
rock thing in my house.
Speaker 4 (13:44):
That is Dad, Sad and Aaron totally talked up the
office and just like how many amazing things you have
in there. I mean I think that got him, like
the curiosity, like what what could it be like?
Speaker 2 (13:54):
So they stopped by and it's a couple of pictures.
I just put him on Facebook this morning and then
and then they went to the show. So they get
to the show and of course Chelsea's there now, And
I mean, you were really going for John Mayer.
Speaker 4 (14:06):
But yes, which okay, I was super naive about this.
I thought the draw was John Mayer and I knew that,
like I knew he was going before Zach Bryan. But
I was like, he's just like trying to be a
nice guy and like let Zack Brian like have a
nice moment.
Speaker 1 (14:22):
No.
Speaker 4 (14:22):
I was so dead wrong about that. Everyone was there
for Zach Bryan. Anyone that was there for John Mayer
was my.
Speaker 1 (14:30):
Age and older.
Speaker 3 (14:31):
It's crazy how someone can be that huge and not
and a lot of people have never heard of that.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
Gho, I've not heard a song. He's not AI, he's
not legit real.
Speaker 4 (14:41):
Let me tell you something.
Speaker 1 (14:42):
He crushed it.
Speaker 4 (14:44):
Fans freaked out when he came on stage and he
did something really cool with his so on the monitors
at the Big House.
Speaker 1 (14:51):
He was on the scoreboard so that you could see him.
Speaker 4 (14:54):
He has like a black and white filter over him
at all times, and I think we need to start
walking around with a black and white filter because everyone
looks good that well.
Speaker 2 (15:03):
Oh, I think we should do that. Wow.
Speaker 1 (15:06):
Yeah, is that like a sea thing? Are those dudes
that wear the space helmets?
Speaker 2 (15:15):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (15:15):
Yeahs it was pretty cool. He also wore a Michigan jersey,
so that was that was pretty neat. And someone in
his band wore like a Michigan T shirt.
Speaker 2 (15:25):
And by the way, you were there with Luannie Wall
from My Children's Hospital and Debbie Emma TAngelo from Angels
of Hope.
Speaker 4 (15:34):
Yes, yep, and we got to see Aaron and Logan.
I was so happy that we got to meet up
with him.
Speaker 1 (15:41):
Right, You didn't just run into them, correct? Okay, yep.
Speaker 4 (15:44):
We made a plan to meet up Emma, who does
all of our videos.
Speaker 1 (15:48):
She was there as well.
Speaker 4 (15:49):
She was Yeah, her and her boyfriend went to the
show and she is an alumni well and a Zach
Bryan fan.
Speaker 2 (15:58):
She is, by the way, you didn't tell me, Thank
thank god, Logan. Aaron Sun texted me from the show.
Did you did you happen to notice what Zach Bryan
came out to?
Speaker 1 (16:09):
Oh, mister Bright's side? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (16:14):
Yeah, they played mister Bright's side before Zach Bryan came
out on stage, and Logan sent me the video say,
look they're playing the Killers. How excited?
Speaker 1 (16:24):
Look at Zach Brian trying to be friends with you.
Speaker 4 (16:27):
When we met up with Aaron and his son, Aaron
said to me, oh my god, did you hear about
John Mayer. He's like his bus didn't make it And
I was like, what are you talking about? His bus
had to have made it, and he's like no, they're
saying that he's like going to be a daily he'll
perform tomorrow. And I was buying this freaking out and
was like I'm going home now.
Speaker 2 (16:48):
That's great.
Speaker 4 (16:48):
I love that I play my favorite song, slow Dancing
in a Burning Room. I was so thrilled about that
I have it. If you wanted to play it, but
you don't have to. It's not a given that he'll
always play that.
Speaker 2 (16:59):
No.
Speaker 4 (17:00):
So here's the thing with with his performance.
Speaker 2 (17:02):
He what about my Body's a Wonderland?
Speaker 3 (17:06):
Tell?
Speaker 1 (17:06):
Yeah, I did sing that one.
Speaker 2 (17:10):
Deep sounds like John Mayor.
Speaker 1 (17:13):
Yeah, it's so good.
Speaker 2 (17:15):
So did John Mayor?
Speaker 1 (17:16):
Not playing the hits you know your Body is a Wonderlamd.
Speaker 4 (17:19):
I think he wanted to skew more towards the country audience.
He knew that they were there for country. So his
SOB rock album that came out in twenty twenty one.
Speaker 1 (17:28):
That leans a little more that way.
Speaker 4 (17:31):
So he did most of those songs okay, and then
my favorite I think he I think he knew I
was there, Yeah, and in that crowd he felt it
and that sea of people.
Speaker 2 (17:42):
All right, we have more to talk about. We have
much more to talk about. But good, I'm glad that
went well. And what was the number on that chow?
How many people?
Speaker 1 (17:48):
Again? Was a go for one hundred and twelve one
hundred and twelve thousand people?
Speaker 4 (17:51):
Yeah? I saw all of them.
Speaker 2 (17:52):
Probably probably you're barking a lot here.
Speaker 1 (17:57):
You should have charged us.
Speaker 3 (17:58):
I can't tell you how many beer games. I drove
by trying to get out of that place we're in.
Speaker 2 (18:03):
Yeah, I would thought about it. Yeah, this story was
so terrible yesterday around ten twenty five yesterday morning, at
the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints in
Grand Blank, which is you know, we we know Grand
Blank when we passed it every time we go to
franken Mouth. I haven't been in Grand Blank, but I've
been to Flint and no, you know, it's all right
(18:25):
there kind of in that spot. But a gunman rammed
his truck through the front doors of that church and
then set the building on fire with gasoline, open fire
with an assault rifle. Hundreds of people were inside, Families
were inside.
Speaker 4 (18:42):
They're going to church on a Sunday.
Speaker 3 (18:44):
Yeah, I mean he he picked.
Speaker 1 (18:46):
The time when it would have the most amount of people.
Speaker 2 (18:50):
Yeah, it's the most horrible thing I've to talk about.
It was a horrible thing.
Speaker 3 (18:53):
Ever, No, I know, And and obviously there's a reason
that it ends this way where the gunman is neutralized,
neutralized by police, and you understand why. But it always
upsets me, not that it happened, but because we can't
punish you and get answers as to what would cause
(19:15):
you to do such a lunatic thing.
Speaker 2 (19:18):
And some of these cases, I feel like all these cases,
if you have this intention, they know there's a chance
that they're going to get taken out, and they don't care.
Speaker 1 (19:26):
Well, they probably go in knowing, right, that's how Yeah, well.
Speaker 2 (19:30):
Yeah they come suicide. Yes. Four people are confirmed dead
as of now, two from gunshot wounds, two found after
the fire. Eight others are injured, seven in stable condition
as of now, one critical. Some remain unaccounted for. Because
now you have this terrible incident and then that's built.
I mean it was in the fire. I mean I
(19:50):
left that fire was going at ten thirty yesterday morning.
I left to go do my charity event at like
one five. I came home and was watching live reports
and still saw smoke. I mean that really it's a
massive church.
Speaker 3 (20:03):
And then in addition to shooting and the fire, there
were explosive devices.
Speaker 2 (20:08):
Yes, yeah, and this is this forty year old guy
from Burton, Michigan.
Speaker 1 (20:13):
Well, maybe someone in his life can shed some light
an arrest.
Speaker 3 (20:16):
Or veterans or heed it was more important to not
be here for the you know, it's only forty.
Speaker 4 (20:24):
Well, that's clearly someone ye no, I know, but.
Speaker 2 (20:28):
The FBI is leading the investigation, calling it an act
of targeted violence. Clearly a motive has not been released.
Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer and national church leaders condemn the attack,
of course. So listen, this is very very much an
ongoing investigation. You're going to see it on television probably
every channel you turn, as it is not only really
(20:52):
a sad and big story here in Michigan, but across.
Speaker 1 (20:54):
Across the country, it's a national story.
Speaker 4 (20:56):
Now.
Speaker 2 (20:57):
Yeah, it's hard to imagine something so devastating happening in
a place of worship and here in Michigan. So we're
holding the Grand Blank community close to our hearts today, absolutely,
and we'll continue to follow along and just thinking of
everybody there and hope, you know, the people that are
alive and well are getting the help that they need,
(21:18):
because that's something that's going to stick with people for
a long time. It's time for feeling good in the
D one hundred point three WNIC. Every day at this
time we give you a feel good story brought to
you by DT Energy. And I will tell you that
many times our feel good stories are about a big
rescue or saving a puppy from a well, or something
(21:38):
that just makes you feel all warm and cuddly inside.
This makes the entire city, after the last couple of days,
feel warm and cuddly inside. Okay, the Lions took care
of business yesterday and that's a reason to feel good
in the d beating Cleveland Cleveland thirty four to ten
and moving on to three and one in the season.
Speaker 1 (21:57):
Silly Cleveland.
Speaker 2 (21:59):
Jared Goff two short touchdowns to Amar Ros Saint Brown.
I'm sat Brown, I'm ros Saint Brown.
Speaker 4 (22:04):
That rock star.
Speaker 2 (22:05):
Jamir Gibbs ran in another one. Jake Bates nail two
field goals, including one from fifty eight yards out. Aiden
Hutchinson our defensive rock star. Another monster game.
Speaker 4 (22:15):
Chelsea's boyfriend.
Speaker 1 (22:16):
Yeah so much. Yeah, baby, he got too sad.
Speaker 2 (22:19):
Yeah, whatever that is he did it.
Speaker 1 (22:21):
You had another feeling good?
Speaker 2 (22:23):
What is it?
Speaker 1 (22:24):
Warren could not get in the game.
Speaker 3 (22:26):
We live in some weird pocket where Fox two is
really hard for him to get and he.
Speaker 1 (22:30):
Spent like, oh, that's unfortunate. My grandma went through that.
Speaker 3 (22:33):
Well, he listened on the radio it was on, so
he didn't miss the game.
Speaker 1 (22:36):
But he was doing everything with the Bunny Ears he could.
Speaker 2 (22:38):
Oh, so I.
Speaker 1 (22:39):
Said, why don't you check out the Fox Local app?
Speaker 2 (22:42):
Which I don't think we can?
Speaker 1 (22:43):
No, No.
Speaker 3 (22:43):
After I said it, I was like, why would Fox
Local that's alternative programming if it's on five.
Speaker 1 (22:48):
So but he did. He put it on the TV.
Speaker 3 (22:51):
He brought it up and he discovered for the first
time the Jay Towers Morning Show on Fox Local.
Speaker 4 (22:58):
And he sat on the couch. He's like, this is
the coolest thing. You guys are on tea.
Speaker 1 (23:03):
Just discovered it yesterday, couldn't stop watching it.
Speaker 2 (23:05):
Look at you guys. Yeah, how about that? You're like
your TV stars?
Speaker 1 (23:09):
And I'm like, for a while, now, how about this
for a really long time for him.
Speaker 2 (23:13):
Thirteen months later, Allison's longtime boyfriend finds out we're on
television every day.
Speaker 4 (23:18):
This is so cool.
Speaker 2 (23:20):
That's our guy.
Speaker 4 (23:21):
Out about it?
Speaker 1 (23:23):
Now? Are watching in today?
Speaker 2 (23:24):
I don't know. He's into it now hours in the morning,
rewind two thirty every day streaming a box local and
of course we're on the iHeartRadio app whenever you want
to listen. The Lions head to Cincinnati this Sunday at
four twenty five back in the Day. Back in the
Day is brought to you by our friends at bright
(23:46):
Side Dental. Hey, let's go back in the day and
find out what happened on this day in history. We'll
start with two hundred and thirty six years ago. In
seventeen eighty nine, Congress established the modern US Army. Be
all that you can be in the army. Yeah, I guess.
Speaker 1 (24:04):
Yeah. All the branches didn't all happen at the same time.
Speaker 2 (24:08):
No, but I feel like they've been coming up and
back in the day lately. Yeah, so maybe you know
this is this is the time. Forty one years ago
in nineteen eighty five, Mcgiver debut on ABC. It ran
for seven seasons with Richard Dean Anderson.
Speaker 1 (24:21):
Yeah, I mean, what can't you do with a paper
clip in a mashbox?
Speaker 2 (24:25):
Amazing car? You know who's better than mcguiver? Who a Gruber?
Speaker 3 (24:29):
A Krueber's good? You know there's a reboot of mcgiver
Is there place it? And it just took over Hawaii
five Oh Fridays?
Speaker 2 (24:38):
Is he in it? No?
Speaker 3 (24:39):
No, no, no, it's all it's an all newcasts and Higgins.
Speaker 1 (24:41):
Is played by a beautiful woman. She's not an old dude. Wait,
I ticked. Are you about that?
Speaker 2 (24:47):
I can't.
Speaker 3 (24:48):
I don't like it, but I haven't really been paying
attention to the weekly lineup on Ion, so they they
have to, they have to mix it up sometimes. But
I tried to make mcguiver my show because there's nothing
I on plays that I'm not like, all right, I'm
binging all of it.
Speaker 1 (25:04):
I can't. I'm not there with the mcgiver.
Speaker 2 (25:07):
The only thing that sits with me weird with you
and your point channels that you adore and watch so much,
is like the most modern thing any of us can
have in twenty twenty five we could have a ten
years ago too, is the fact that anything we're watching
we can pause and go to the bathroom. You are
watching still television in a way where you cannot.
Speaker 3 (25:28):
Now only in the background. I got my laptop going.
Whatever I'm really watching is on the And this is
backwards too, because whatever I'm really watching is.
Speaker 4 (25:36):
On my laptop now under the TV is just the background. Yeah, yeah,
I do.
Speaker 2 (25:41):
I watch shows. I'm like when I'm in a hotel,
I watch shows on my computer and then the TV
is just that like welcome Jason.
Speaker 4 (25:47):
Really yeah, because sometimes you can't cast the laptop to
the TV, so I understand that. But Allison, just like
Willy Nilly, always wants to have her Lenovo on and
I do.
Speaker 2 (25:57):
It's not get into that again. In nineteen ninety two,
Cheers premiered on NBC. Well again, one of the greatest
sitcoms of all time. Yeah, twelve years ago. In twenty thirteen,
Breaking Bad and the finale aired on ABC. So wait,
Breaking Bad see and AMC eight Breaking Bad ended twelve
years ago.
Speaker 1 (26:16):
That's crazy, that is coat.
Speaker 3 (26:17):
You know my Breaking Bad story, right, It was a
bit obviously, it's a huge show.
Speaker 1 (26:21):
It was a huge show. When the finale happened.
Speaker 3 (26:23):
Everybody was talking about it the next day, and I said,
I am never gonna watch Breaking Bad.
Speaker 1 (26:29):
I just don't care.
Speaker 3 (26:29):
So I watched the twenty seven minute finale because I
just want to see what everyone was talking about. Fast
forward like, I don't know, six months a year and
I'm coming home one in the morning and AMC is
starting it from the beginning. I pick it up in
episode two and it sticks. And I love Breaking Bad.
And I watch every episode knowing.
Speaker 2 (26:48):
Knowing how it's gonna exactly.
Speaker 3 (26:49):
What's gonna happen and it bummed me out. Oh yeah,
because I knew how.
Speaker 4 (26:53):
It was gonna I think that's probably the one time
that you got bummed out knowing the ending usually you.
Speaker 1 (26:58):
Because I would find myself going, maybe this happen, and
I'm like, you know it won't.
Speaker 2 (27:02):
It's not going to happen. You know how we know
time is really going by fast because I remember sitting
in this room and having this discussion and wondering and
all that. But back in twenty twenty three, in Sync
released their first new music together since two thousand and
two with that Better Place from the Trolls movie. Yeah,
oh that's right, but that was already back in twenty
twenty three.
Speaker 4 (27:21):
I remember sitting and having a conversation with Cody Er
promotions director. I had just gotten to her house because
I was going to watch her new baby, who is
now three, and said we were talking about in Sync
and like whether or not they would get back together,
and then come to find out this was the song
that I don't know everyone was talking about.
Speaker 2 (27:41):
There you go? Is you're back in the day one
hundred point three wn I see dearborn Detroit. It is
time for Hollywood Minute brought to you by Lighthouse Exteriors
dot Com for home improvement.
Speaker 4 (27:51):
Matt Damon and his brother fulfilled their dad's wish, his
dying wish by spreading some of his ashes at the
Boston Red Soxpen Wave Park. Now, Matt said, I think
it's illegal, but they got swept up with the peanuts, so.
Speaker 1 (28:05):
I think it is anywhere.
Speaker 2 (28:06):
But yeah, people do it. Yeah, I mean.
Speaker 4 (28:09):
Dolly Parton just announced she's postponing her December shows at
Caesar's Palace because she's dealing with some ongoing health issues.
Her team insisted she take care of them. Now she
is going to have to have a few procedures. Did
not get into detail about this, but the six shows
have been rescheduled for September of next year.
Speaker 1 (28:28):
That's a long post Partner now, Yeah, makes me nervous.
Speaker 2 (28:32):
I was wondering. I kept seeing that yesterday show up
in social media, the like country Star postpones residency and
I'm like, I wonder whom it was. Dolly.
Speaker 4 (28:39):
Tom Holland revealed that he's on the mend after suffering
a concussion on the set of Spider Man Brand New
Day So he attended a gala in London for the
Brothers Trust, which is a charity run by his family.
Speaker 1 (28:51):
Z Deya was also there with him, but in an
Abam Hollands British Yes, I believe so.
Speaker 4 (28:57):
In an Instagram post about the event, he said, I'm
sorry I had to leave early, but I'm feeling better
and on the bend. Madonna is sitting down for the
first time ever to do a podcast. She's going to
be on Ja Shetty's podcast and discussing her spirituality. She'll
reflect on the topic of forgiveness, success, and how studying
(29:18):
spirituality has shaped her life.
Speaker 3 (29:21):
I just yawned, I'm sorry. Oh, I don't know who
Jay is she going to be? She going to be
on Jay Shwanky's flower arranging show on BBS.
Speaker 1 (29:30):
Stop it don't even do that. That's all I can
think of when you say Ja Shetty.
Speaker 4 (29:34):
On CBS Sunday Mornings, Jennifer Lopez opened up about her
divorce from Ben Affleck and how it helped her grow
as a person.
Speaker 3 (29:40):
It's the best thing that ever happened to me because
it changed me.
Speaker 4 (29:44):
It didn't change me.
Speaker 3 (29:45):
It helped me grow in a way that I needed
to grow, become more self aware.
Speaker 1 (29:51):
I'm a different person now than I was. My god,
you are so annoying.
Speaker 3 (29:57):
Honestly, everything that just came out of her mouth was
so so stupid.
Speaker 1 (30:00):
You have been divorced ninety four.
Speaker 3 (30:02):
Times, but this was the one, but this was the
one that helped you grow.
Speaker 1 (30:07):
Oh my god.
Speaker 4 (30:08):
And finally, Matthew McConaughey said that him and his mom
had limited conversations for nearly a decade after she kept
sharing private conversations with the press. So they would have
like a Sunday night phone call, just like catching up
on things. And by Tuesday all of those conversations were
in the news. And I don't know why he didn't
just say to her, knock it off. These are conversations
(30:32):
between the two of us.
Speaker 2 (30:33):
But anyways, wasn't that an SNL bit with Ginwich? And
was it again? Gingrich? Did his mother keep talking to
the president? Chris Farley played him and he said, yes, Well.
Speaker 4 (30:48):
Things changed once Matthew felt secure enough in his fame
to just let her say whatever she wants, and their
relationship it's fine. It was like a decade of I
don't know secrets. TV. Tonight we have Monday Night football.
Speaker 2 (30:59):
And the congratulations to the Detroit Lions a big win
yesterday over Cleveland. Gotta love what we saw at Ford
Field yesterday, that thirty four to ten win. And they
are back to take on Cincinnati on Sunday at four
to twenty. And we can't stay out of Ohio. Look
at us. Allison's bubble is on the way next.
Speaker 3 (31:20):
A very int I got follow up questions, but an
interesting little fact about King Richard the Third.
Speaker 2 (31:27):
Oh, all right, coming up, Jesus see we got today.
Speaker 3 (31:40):
Sometimes I just I think it's kind of boring, but
also it was interesting to me. And I've been googling
for the last twenty minutes because it's so strange. King
Richard the third, This is going back to the fourteen hundreds. Okay,
King Richard the Third's bones were found in England more
than five cents after he died by a random woman
(32:03):
named Philippa Langley, who was researching the King for a
screenplay she wanted to write. Okay, the movie never happened,
but there is one about. There's a movie about Philippa's discovery.
It's called The Lost King. It came out in twenty
twenty two, so not that long ago.
Speaker 1 (32:18):
But the thing I thought was so weird that I
got hung.
Speaker 3 (32:20):
Up on was he was the king of England, right
and his bones went missing and some random lady found
him And where were they and why were they not
entombed in a clearly marked grave?
Speaker 2 (32:31):
What happened in the in between stage?
Speaker 1 (32:33):
Yeah, they stole that.
Speaker 3 (32:34):
They might have know they say he died in battle.
They might have thrown his body into a river. It's
a whole long story, and reading about things from the
fourteen hundreds is superboring.
Speaker 2 (32:44):
Well, you have me ready to chatch ept Fox the
news headlines. Obviously the big story of this gunman yesterday
ramming his truck through the front doors of a church
in Grand Blank, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter
day Saints. It's a suburb of Flint. Don't know Grand Blank,
you know, just to the north of us. Happened around
ten to twenty five. Four people are confirmed dead and
(33:09):
some remain unaccounted for. We had eight people injured, seven
in stable condition, wont and critical. This forty year old
Iraq war veteran from Burton, Michigan was killed in a
shootout with police just minutes after the attack. You could
know lit the church on fire, so if the situation
wasn't bad enough, he made it even worse by now
(33:30):
adding fire into the mix.
Speaker 1 (33:32):
Cops got there in like eight minutes or something like that.
Speaker 2 (33:35):
Yeah, yeah, and it was just a rough day for people.
The FBI is leading the investigation, calling it an act
of targeted violence, and a motive has not been released.
So we'll continue to follow this. It's the big story
we're talking about obviously in Fox Chaker out the morning
getting reaction. I know our friend Robin Murdoch is up
there right now covering it, so we'll keep an eye
on that. Some good news the Lions beating Cleveland thirty
(34:00):
ten yesterday making the three. Yeah, good game. And remember
remember the talk yesterday, the talk, I mean on Friday,
the talk wash Cleveland. It could be a real problem
for the Lions, and that didn't seem to be a problem.
Speaker 1 (34:14):
So I watched the game with friends yesterday, and.
Speaker 4 (34:17):
You know, I get a little annoyed that they're all
a part of this fantasy football and they all bet
on on players and games and yards ran and stuff,
and that's all that they cared about. And you know,
if if Gibbs got the ball and made the touchdown
and they wanted Jamo to be the one to get it.
Then they were all ticked off, and I'm like, you
(34:38):
know what, I'm done listening to you guys. Finally at halftime,
I was like, I'm out of here. I'm going to
watch the game in piece because I don't care who
makes the touchdown as long as someone makes happen.
Speaker 2 (34:46):
Funny, like, yeah, if you watch the game just to
watch it for the win because you want to see
the Lions win. Great, But then you have those old
other segment of people that are like, no, he needed
to score because that would have got me here exactly.
Speaker 4 (34:57):
That would have made me two hundred bucks. And then
my friend Laurel's a not having any confidence in Jake Baits.
I'm like, Jod Bates has never never steered us wrong.
Speaker 3 (35:08):
Do you want to come over and listen to the
game on the radio with Warren?
Speaker 2 (35:12):
Yeah, he won't do any of that. Jake Baits, by
the way, nailed two huge field goals, including one from
fifty eight yards out. What's she worried about? Jake?
Speaker 4 (35:20):
Shut up, Laura, show Laurel. That's what I said, said,
take your bad attitude and.
Speaker 1 (35:26):
Go somewhere else.
Speaker 2 (35:27):
Here's a clear here here, put this on your phone
as a renew ringtone. Shut up, Laurel.
Speaker 1 (35:31):
Yeah, I'm just I'm.
Speaker 3 (35:34):
Having a side thought over here about all the stuff
Chelsea did this weekend.
Speaker 2 (35:38):
I'm like, who are you?
Speaker 4 (35:39):
I was so busy?
Speaker 2 (35:40):
Right, she had a jay weekend. I know. It's National
Coffee Day. Everyone's talking about coffee. Portland, Oregon tops the
annual list of best coffee cities. Coffee prices are up,
but many places have deals, and sixty six percent of
US dring coffee every single day.
Speaker 1 (35:57):
We do we have only sixty six percent.
Speaker 2 (35:59):
That's it.
Speaker 1 (35:59):
What are the rust people do? And I don't know
how lot people drink tea.
Speaker 4 (36:02):
Some people start their day with like hot lemon water.
Speaker 1 (36:06):
Well, you're annoying portlandt you be friends with Laurel?
Speaker 2 (36:11):
Yeah right, Laurel, you cheese. They say detroy De Trade
is one of the worst for coffee at number ninety seven.
What why do we like, how do we even fit
into this? I don't.
Speaker 1 (36:25):
I just think people say stuff like I don't understand.
Speaker 4 (36:28):
What do you mean?
Speaker 2 (36:29):
Worst best coffee, best coffee cities in America? Yeah, based
on local coffee popularity. Coffee roaster shops coffee spending. So
Portland came in one, then Orlando. Well, yeah, because it's
the most visited city in the world, isn't it. Per
day Long Beach, California, Seattle, Tampa, San Francisco. We're number
ninety seven for coffee.
Speaker 4 (36:50):
New York didn't make the top ten.
Speaker 2 (36:52):
Conky Jungle where dreams are made.
Speaker 4 (36:55):
That's crazy.
Speaker 3 (36:55):
If they're talking about little hole in the wall coffee
places outside of your big chair. Maybe I don't know
how many of those we have, but I think we're
in the coffee game pretty hard.
Speaker 4 (37:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (37:05):
I mean even myer gas station, I was in there
and I was like, I'll just get a coffee here.
Even at the gas station there is a major coffee
set up, all these flavored serrup.
Speaker 2 (37:15):
Of course. Yeah, I'm like, wow, it's a way of life. Yeah,
it's an absolute way of life, all right. And one
other story I thought was interesting, kind of the light
side here today. But foods that were healthy in the
eighties are considered to be healthy eighties that like that
we were anymore like fruit juice, like a cup of
oj has the same amount of sugar as five oranges. Yeh,
(37:37):
Granola bars, lean cuisine low and protein and high and sodium.
Some of them are delicious but not great for you.
Speaker 1 (37:45):
See, I will.
Speaker 4 (37:47):
I still get sucked into the lean cuisine every once
in a while. I'm like, well, the fetichini elfreda with
chicken can't be that bad.
Speaker 3 (37:54):
I know I should. I don't, though, And I have
this conversation with Warren all the time. I care about
some things fat, saturated fat, things like that. I'm not
I'm not there with sodium yet. I do not care
because I eat ramen and he's like, I wish you
wouldn't do that, and I'm like I was to be quiet.
I'm like, I use like ramen is good. I'm not arguing.
(38:14):
He's like, there's so much sodium. I'm like, I don't care.
I'm picking my battles and sodium is not one of them.
Speaker 2 (38:19):
I blew a casket this week over soft drinks and beverages.
What do you mean because after the after the incident
and the dehydration. Oh, like, what does my girl do?
She does nice things. She goes and gets all this
gatorade and different flavors. Yeah, yeah, well she didn't get
the Gatorade zero and I didn't know that, so you're.
Speaker 4 (38:40):
Gonna be a big fat baby over that, warn.
Speaker 1 (38:42):
Switched to the really too.
Speaker 2 (38:43):
Yeah, guess what what? Gatorade zero has zero sugar and
like one carb in it. So I'm like noticing that
I've gained four pounds this past week. I'm like, how
did I gain four pounds?
Speaker 4 (38:56):
Huh?
Speaker 2 (38:57):
And I'm looking, I'm going this is this is regular gatorade?
Speaker 5 (39:01):
Like you're drinking like forty seven carbs and like twenty
nine grams of showing what is this? I said, I'm
kept drinking as much Gatorade as owls and drinks cold
I did.
Speaker 2 (39:12):
I said, that's so I don't drink coke? Right, you
might as well. I was a tyrant over.
Speaker 4 (39:17):
Wow, that's the last nice thing that she does for you.
Speaker 1 (39:21):
Do you have to buy your own gatorade now?
Speaker 2 (39:22):
Pretty much? Yeah, I'm sure you're making me fat. You
know it. That's a diabolical plan. You are too spelled.
I can't have it. Good bye. Earlier, we were kind
of running down everything that happened over the weekend, the
crazy long weekend and everything from the stitches out to
the big game. I'm not the game, well, we have
(39:43):
the Lions game mystery, but of course the Big show
at Michigan Stadium with Zack Brian. Yeah, my friend Aaron
from Superman was in over the weekend.
Speaker 3 (39:50):
It's crazy the animal charity did yesterday. Yeah, that's so
I could contribute to anything that I might have done
this weekend.
Speaker 1 (39:57):
But no, not really.
Speaker 2 (39:59):
Well, you were kind of supervising from a farm. I
really was.
Speaker 1 (40:01):
I was monitoring what.
Speaker 4 (40:02):
You guys were doing. You were monitoring what was going
on in ann Arbor.
Speaker 2 (40:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (40:06):
I really immersed herself.
Speaker 3 (40:08):
I really thought I was safe from noon to one
o'clock to be and I wasn't.
Speaker 1 (40:12):
Just like on the peripheral. I was down town. But like,
what do you do? What do you do?
Speaker 4 (40:20):
She's always talking about driving around town and doing all
these things, and my people, I pick stuff up.
Speaker 2 (40:26):
She's like the unofficial mayor really of Etcelanta.
Speaker 4 (40:29):
Do you have a second job that we don't know about.
Speaker 3 (40:31):
I deliver for mister Spots, which I was at mister Spotts.
Speaker 2 (40:35):
It's mister Spots.
Speaker 4 (40:36):
Oh my god, it's a local.
Speaker 2 (40:38):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (40:39):
Hey, they're really good with wings, and warn wanted wings
from there.
Speaker 2 (40:44):
You got me already.
Speaker 3 (40:44):
But it is a little like hole in the wall
in the nicest way, if I say that it's legendary,
there's not a lot of space. I walked in there
and you could barely move. The kids were out on
campus anywhere that was going to happen anyway, like Saturday,
on a nice stay like that that all the students
were out walking around, so that I expect.
Speaker 2 (41:04):
So where is mister Spots.
Speaker 3 (41:05):
Mister Spots is right downtown. I was off a liberty
at one point south State.
Speaker 4 (41:10):
It's just down.
Speaker 2 (41:11):
We went to Spots on Saturday knowing that that the
biggest concert in history.
Speaker 1 (41:15):
Was at one o'clock.
Speaker 2 (41:16):
Listen.
Speaker 4 (41:17):
Oh my god. Yeah. And by the way, I'm not wrong.
Speaker 1 (41:20):
All of you were wrong for being in my city
that early.
Speaker 4 (41:25):
It was unnecessary.
Speaker 3 (41:26):
I came home, though, and Warren like turned it back
around on me, like you just did. He goes, and
he's mister University of Michigan because he knows everything. He's like,
this is bigger than John Mayer and Blake Shelton. He
didn't say that, but I liked to. He's like, this
is bigger than John Mayer and Zach what's his name is, Brian.
He goes, this is an historic event, the biggest indoor
(41:49):
attendance ever like he's giving me all these Michigan stats
and I'm like, okay, yawn first of all, and second
half my back sometimes because it is one o'clock.
Speaker 1 (41:58):
Well, okay, showed Star it's at six.
Speaker 2 (42:00):
So here's the But here's what I told you. Aaron
came to my house with his son to see the
Superman stuff. Yeah, and they were like the plan for
them because it's seventy minutes to the Big House when
were I live, they left by twelve forty five. They
wanted to be there no later than two. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (42:16):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (42:16):
And here's why. Aaron's like, I'm not paying eighty dollars
to park near the stadium. We already know where we're
going to park, and it's a half a mile from Yeah,
they walked to half a mile parking Bush's parking lot.
I don't know, I said half a mile. I said,
I'm at the age now where I'm not walking a
half a minute. Right.
Speaker 4 (42:33):
Well, have you seen him? He's like the fittest guy
on the planet. Half a mile was literally nothing for him,
but he's he waited his options because he called Eddie
from First Class at Ends.
Speaker 2 (42:45):
Eddie was like, you don't want to He didn't want.
Speaker 4 (42:47):
He was like, there's no point in me driving you
because I'm not going to get close enough to you.
Speaker 1 (42:52):
You're still going to have to walk super far to
meet me.
Speaker 4 (42:54):
Yeah, to be able to get out of there, and
like an uber is not really going to be much
of an option.
Speaker 1 (43:00):
Oh, I don't know. I've been stuck right there at
that intersection.
Speaker 3 (43:04):
During a game when you for twenty minutes you sit
at a red light because the people get to walk.
Speaker 4 (43:08):
Yeah, and I was gonna say Eddie could.
Speaker 1 (43:10):
Have dropped him offering. I mean, I was right in
the front of the stage.
Speaker 2 (43:13):
Guys were so booked so many weeks in advance, and
you know, their whole thing at first class a DANDS
is to give you first class.
Speaker 3 (43:19):
Treatment, right, And if he didn't think he could, he
didn't take the job.
Speaker 2 (43:23):
I get that, I don't, but listen, Yeah, they had
a great time. Well, the pictures were great.
Speaker 1 (43:28):
Yeah, that's what I was going to say. Then I
see Chelsea's picture.
Speaker 3 (43:30):
Luanne posted the same one, and it's a great picture.
I thought about taking it and sharing it just so people.
The magnitude, like in front of the glass where you
see the stadium there and it's like wow, Okay, I
mean I get I mean it's not that I didn't get.
Speaker 2 (43:45):
It before, but because the difference maker is obviously Yeah,
I mean you can go to a Michigan game, but
you've got the you know they're playing on the field,
well the field with that, I mean, how many seats
are on the field. I mean there's a lot of people.
There was in the round? Was was it in the round?
Is he in the center?
Speaker 1 (44:02):
Yes, he was in the center.
Speaker 2 (44:03):
Yeah. Anyway, Sunday I hosted the No Ball's Comedy Ball
for Canine Companions and Michigan Animal Adoption Network. That was
a great time. It was the comedian Jim Elliott opened
He's a Michigan guy. And Matt Cohn.
Speaker 1 (44:20):
Oh you got windshie.
Speaker 2 (44:23):
Matt Cohn was the headliner. Fantastic. I want to shout
out to Angel who we work with. That iHeart who
worked so hard with them. And then Joe and Marie
and Tricia came by brought the dogs and stuff. You know,
it's interesting. I put a couple of pictures up. But
since that, since the whole Vegas situation, people come up
and give me the same expression and look they go
(44:47):
out to me and they go are you okay? Hi,
We've been praying for you, like, I'm fine.
Speaker 1 (44:54):
Did you get more special blessings?
Speaker 2 (44:56):
I did get some special blessings?
Speaker 1 (44:58):
Any more fruit baskets?
Speaker 2 (45:00):
No beautiful basket from Planet Fitness I told you I got.
That was very nice. I could the Olive Garden sent
nice stuff. Yeah, yeah, Skill of Baby sent a video
nice stuff.
Speaker 1 (45:10):
Well, cracking your head open was like.
Speaker 2 (45:12):
No, kids, who knew there will be blood and.
Speaker 1 (45:18):
Paid off?
Speaker 2 (45:19):
I said, I said, I was talking to my dad
on the phone this morning, driving and I said, honestly,
after all this, I really wish it it's hard to lie.
I really wish I could have went on that. I
should have went on the air Monday and just said
I walked into a wall. Yeah, because it would have
been easier to just say I walked into a wall.
Speaker 4 (45:33):
But I don't think anyone would have believed that. Not
that they're not really believing your story either. Sure, there's
been a million people that are like, you were in
Vegas for the iHeartRadio Music Festival. You're really telling me
that you didn't just have a drunk night out.
Speaker 2 (45:46):
The same comedian Mat Con said the same thing to me.
He goes, yeah, because I was looking up so I
was reading your story and stuff. So anyway, look what
really happened. I'm like, no, that really happened.
Speaker 3 (45:56):
It's fine for him to say that because he doesn't
know you, but everyone else does and there's nothing about
there's no other cool Vegas thing that you could have
been involved in. It's exactly how you said it was well.
Speaker 2 (46:10):
I said that on stage at Mark Ridley Blackout Drugs.
I said, I said, So, the actual story is that
I had breakfast at my friend Jim and Sally's house,
which he makes these really good eggs, and then we
photographed Superman caps all day and then I went back
to my hotel and went to bed and then woke
up and passed out. Yeah, like that's the story. It
(46:32):
couldn't have been nerdier. It could have been worse. Wow. Right,
there's a crowd there at a comedy castle.
Speaker 1 (46:45):
The pictures looked great.
Speaker 2 (46:47):
Yeah, it was fun. A lot of great talks.
Speaker 3 (46:49):
They know how much money we raised yet I'll get
a number two real quickly, just just to mention, like,
you think about all the events that we do that
raise money to either feed people like kids at school,
you know, kids on this lunch program, or you think
about taking kids to Disney World, or you think about
the things that we do to help families, and then
you have this organization that's like, what about the family
(47:09):
that's having a tough time and has a pet and
the pet needs medical treatment, the pet needs food.
Speaker 2 (47:17):
Yeah, it's expensive.
Speaker 4 (47:19):
God, there are people out there that think about that.
That is a huge deal.
Speaker 2 (47:23):
Those videos of the Angel with those big just got
those big eighty pound gags of dog food on her
shoulder walking in I mean yeah, I mean they're doing
really really good work. And where else you gonna go.
There's girls to go. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (47:32):
No, Angel and Marie are always out.
Speaker 2 (47:35):
Yeah. For that's incredible. That's incredible. Incredible stories from around
the world and beyond. We'll start with this. A woman
in England went viral for telling the story of how
she almost died from yawning too hard to vertebrae in
her neck compressed her spine, and doctors gave her a
fifty to fifty chance of making it Wuckily. Luckily, she
can walk again, but she has nerve pain and other issues. Incredible.
Speaker 4 (47:59):
Okay, so her story is much worse than yours, much
more embarrassing.
Speaker 1 (48:06):
You think she's going to get olive garden breadsticks out.
Speaker 2 (48:08):
I don't think so, probably.
Speaker 1 (48:10):
Not curious or blessings.
Speaker 2 (48:13):
Maybe I'll take you to Maybe I'll take you guys
olive garden.
Speaker 1 (48:16):
Oh my god, I clean thee that will. Let's do that.
Speaker 2 (48:19):
Two guys in Texas are facing charges after they pranked
a guy by changing his user name on Netflix in
some sort of insult. Then they got into a big
fight over it, which erupted into gunfire. Luckily no one died. Wow, incredible.
Speaker 3 (48:33):
That's why charges are okay Because I was like, the
first part of that story seemed pretty h hih, not
worth the police.
Speaker 2 (48:40):
Rights, seemed to bit off. There's a new trend in
online dating called biobating, which is over selling your dating
app bio in ways that don't quite hold up in
real life. Patting your resume, I guess, So, so what
does that say? Like like maybe you played baseball in
high school, but you say you used to be a ballplayer.
Speaker 1 (48:59):
I mean, that's what everybody does.
Speaker 3 (49:01):
But I was thinking about if I was online dating,
what my bio would be, because I wanted to lead
with my strengths. Yeah, and I was going to say,
you know, my name's Alison. I'm awesome at merging roundabouts
and loading the dishwasher like that would be like, don't you.
Speaker 1 (49:17):
Want to date me? Those are the three things I'm
the most awesome.
Speaker 3 (49:20):
And it's really funny merging roundabouts and loading the dish
People would love stuff like that.
Speaker 2 (49:25):
And then you can freshen up the dating app by
adding professional printer paper getter.
Speaker 3 (49:30):
Oh yeah, and I get stuff off there and you
get off the printer man. If I'm ever single, I
am going to light it up.
Speaker 2 (49:37):
That's the way to go. Yeah. One in five Americans
now regularly get their news from tiok. That's incredible.
Speaker 1 (49:43):
That's kind of sick.
Speaker 3 (49:44):
We're going to need you to stop doing that. There's
not news. I don't know, Chelsea, you're the queen of TikTok.
Don't get your news there.
Speaker 4 (49:51):
If you want to get like celebrity gossip off of TikTok,
that's fine. If you I don't know, I guess. If
it's a news organization that you're you know, following a
story on, that's one thing. But like Angela who's reporting
the news from her bedroom, don't don't take that.
Speaker 2 (50:08):
Good things got physical for a Thrupple in Florida, and
now a woman is trying to boot both her ex
boyfriend and ex girlfriend from the house without a whole
lot of success. That's incredible.
Speaker 4 (50:21):
Those thules will turn on you. You have to have
like a written agreement on how that works.
Speaker 2 (50:25):
At least it's this case. At least it's the case
of she is getting rid of both of them. Well,
I guess it would be the because usually a thruple
goes wrong and one they want to kick out, one out.
Speaker 3 (50:35):
I know a thrupple. I have a thrupple in my life.
And they added a fourth their quad. Now, oh that
did not work out. The thrupple is what worked. Just
too many people, the quad. It screwed everything up. The
fourth is out.
Speaker 2 (50:47):
I'm friends with someone in a thutle too.
Speaker 1 (50:48):
Yeah, it's like a yeah, it's.
Speaker 2 (50:50):
And they're in a nerd throuple. So it's three of them.
Oh wow, and they're always doing nerd things together. I'm like,
look at you guys.
Speaker 4 (50:56):
Yeah, it's three people in the throttle.
Speaker 1 (50:58):
Yeah that is that's a thruple.
Speaker 4 (51:00):
I didn't realize that we had to clarify that there
were three people in a throotball.
Speaker 2 (51:05):
Hey, listen, you give people a lot of credit. I
don't know. I'm learning new things every day, Like I'm
learning that I even had a friend in the trouble.
Speaker 1 (51:12):
By the way, where who's your friend in a thruple?
Speaker 2 (51:14):
We both have one? Yeah, certainly isn't Laurels.
Speaker 4 (51:16):
So that's funny. My friends would say that I'm in
a thrupple with Nick and Laurel and a friendship thrupple.
Speaker 2 (51:23):
Yeah, platonic trupple. Shoplifters could be soon chased down by
Dernes and die Coke. Lime is coming back next week.
I didn't know. Detroit's favorite and longest playing game, Battle
the Sexes, is happening right now, brought to you by
Hollywood Casino at Greek Town. Two contestants on a ready
to play.
Speaker 4 (51:42):
Mike is going for one number five against Angel.
Speaker 2 (51:45):
All right, I'm ready to take on Allison. Let's play
Battle the Sexes.
Speaker 4 (51:48):
Ellison names something that gets passed around.
Speaker 2 (51:51):
Something that.
Speaker 1 (51:54):
Pass a dish that is the third best answer.
Speaker 4 (51:57):
One point was joint. The joint was number one.
Speaker 1 (52:00):
I just said it followed by a cold That's why
I laughed.
Speaker 4 (52:04):
Jay name something a snowman. Might have nightmares about heat. Yes,
number one answer ten points. Alison names something people swap,
people swap recipes. That is the second best bet clothes star.
Speaker 2 (52:19):
Who's answering this quesition? Are we playing?
Speaker 4 (52:22):
Jay name something that might be full of holes Swiss cheese.
Number one answer, You're in the lead. Twenty to six.

of course, number one, and Jay names something you might
find in a bathtub, rubber duck. That is the third
best answer one point. Water was number one, and you
(52:43):
win twenty one to sixteen ghos
