First of all, it was a big weekend. There was
so much going on, everything from a Lions win to
that show at Michigan Stadium, which I think, meete history
is like the biggest concert ever.

that church in Grand Blank, Michigan, which has become really
a worldwide story right now. And I've just been covering
all day yesterday, so terrible. Just another another terrible chapter
in our world here that we'll get into. It is

sixth Super Bowl halftime Show. The official announcement was made
during the Green Bay Packers in Dallas Cowboys game on
Sunday Night Football. This is going to take place Sunday,
February eighth at Levi Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Now,
I have no idea if there's any truth to this.
I think everyone knows that the Super Bowl halftime show

is free and you're like your next big album or
you know whatever. Sources are saying that Taylor Swift turned
it down because she didn't want to do it for free.

Hu Zach Ryan just headlined the largest ticketed concert in
US history, and I was there and we still don't
know who he is. It's weird, that's not true. So
it was at the Big House in ann Arbor. There
were one hundred and twelve thousand, four hundred and eight
fans in attendance. Zach saying twenty six songs and said

Mayer opened the show, saying some of his biggest hits,
including slow Dancing in a Burning Room which is my favorite,
and Gravity. This show also set a merchandise sales record
of five million dollar.

Grand Blank. I want to kind of go the details
and what we know and how that investigation is going,

Physicians just a physician's assistant. Zach got the stitches out

Like we were in I feelt but you know, we
had a conversation as we talked about the show. Yeah,
you know, he knows we joked about him on the show,
and like, I almost I feel bad now because it's
almost insulting to say, like, oh, you're almost a doctor.
It's like a physician's assistant is no different than like
being in the nursing field. But there's a job. Job,
that's what he'll do. I mean, he does they know,
I mean they yeah, yeah. I mean it's not like

he's like a lot of people think like you're in
line to be a doctor when you're and you're not.
That's a position. That's his position. And he was so
I mean he said, yeah, it's probably better if you
if you lay down, and I'm like, I lay down
on the thing and on the paper, the crinkly paper
and I said, is it, like, is it gonna it's
gonna hurt or this stitch is going to stick to
the And he's like, I don't because I think maybe

I gotta get in there, and and like so I'm
sitting there waiting for the worst, and it's like snip.

I mean that was nice. They both they both have
been like checking on me throughout the week. I got

On Friday, I got On Friday, I went down to
Hollywood Casino, a Greek town to meet up with Aaron Smolinsky,
who played a little Superman and Superman the movie coming out,
you know, lifting the truck and all that, with his
son Logan, who's a huge Zach Bryan fan, and we
said everybody went to that concert. Yes, so we you know,

we went down there and they had a beautiful room
at Hollywood Casino, a Greek town. But you know his
son is eighteen, Yeah, and he's a big hockey player. Yeah,
bigger than Aaron, right, smaller than him, right, So so
you know we went to I took them to.

You couldn't go to Prism because he can't get in.

The can't get into the casino.

No, and why you did go there was so great?

you're good. The room is so beautiful.

Two serve Amanda my favorite. And we had this great meal,
and it was it was really good. We talked about
like just you know, about life and like I told
you when you we never talked about Superman. We talk
about like life and especially his son. But his son
played hockey in in Henderson last year his junior year
of high school. He left Colorado went to Vegas and like,

you stay with a host family and you play like
hockey almost professionally, like leally go And he's like, oh, yeah,
I went to where was. I went out in the
desert and saw the Killers. And I'm like, you saw
the Killers?

What it was such a side note for him was
Zach Bryant.

He's like, I I have some videos on my phone,
like send them to me right now. And typical kid,
you know, he sends me like he's nine second coach. Yeah.
I'm like, who goes to a Killer show and doesn't
tape the whole song?

So that was fun. Here's a Hollywood casino at Greektown.
Great place. There's no better place to bring your son
to show him the fun of Detroit than Hollywood is
absolutely And then I run into you and I didn't

concert Zach Bryan tomorrow Michigan Stadium. John Mayer. We went

best signing Superman pictures and eating steak and butter and

after dinner we went back to the hotel to a
couple of pictures and that was it. And then on Saturday,
you know, I was home. We were doing we're cleaning
the house and my girl's giving the dog a bath
and all that stuff. And Aaron texted and he said,
you know, we've got some time to kill before we
go to the Big House. And Logan would really love

to see your Superman office. And I said, Okay, I said, logan.

Care about Superman or is sometimes when your parents.

Are like like he's a level four out of ten. Okay,
But I think there's curiosity because I had that big
rock thing in my house.

That is Dad, Sad and Aaron totally talked up the
office and just like how many amazing things you have
in there. I mean I think that got him, like
the curiosity, like what what could it be like?

So they stopped by and it's a couple of pictures.
I just put him on Facebook this morning and then
and then they went to the show. So they get
to the show and of course Chelsea's there now, And
I mean, you were really going for John Mayer.

But yes, which okay, I was super naive about this.
I thought the draw was John Mayer and I knew that,
like I knew he was going before Zach Bryan. But
I was like, he's just like trying to be a
nice guy and like let Zack Brian like have a
nice moment.

I was so dead wrong about that. Everyone was there
for Zach Bryan. Anyone that was there for John Mayer

We made a plan to meet up Emma, who does

perform tomorrow. And I was buying this freaking out and
was like I'm going home now.

so terrible yesterday around ten twenty five yesterday morning, at
the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints in
Grand Blank, which is you know, we we know Grand
Blank when we passed it every time we go to
franken Mouth. I haven't been in Grand Blank, but I've
been to Flint and no, you know, it's all right

there kind of in that spot. But a gunman rammed
his truck through the front doors of that church and
then set the building on fire with gasoline, open fire
with an assault rifle. Hundreds of people were inside, Families
were inside.

They're going to church on a Sunday.

Yeah, I mean he he picked.

The time when it would have the most amount of people.

Yeah, it's the most horrible thing I've to talk about.
It was a horrible thing.

Ever, No, I know, And and obviously there's a reason
that it ends this way where the gunman is neutralized,
neutralized by police, and you understand why. But it always
upsets me, not that it happened, but because we can't
punish you and get answers as to what would cause

you to do such a lunatic thing.

And some of these cases, I feel like all these cases,
if you have this intention, they know there's a chance
that they're going to get taken out, and they don't care.

Well, they probably go in knowing, right, that's how Yeah, well.

Yeah they come suicide. Yes. Four people are confirmed dead
as of now, two from gunshot wounds, two found after
the fire. Eight others are injured, seven in stable condition
as of now, one critical. Some remain unaccounted for. Because
now you have this terrible incident and then that's built.
I mean it was in the fire. I mean I

left that fire was going at ten thirty yesterday morning.
I left to go do my charity event at like
one five. I came home and was watching live reports
and still saw smoke. I mean that really it's a
massive church.

And then in addition to shooting and the fire, there
were explosive devices.

Yes, yeah, and this is this forty year old guy
from Burton, Michigan.

Well, maybe someone in his life can shed some light
an arrest.

Or veterans or heed it was more important to not
be here for the you know, it's only forty.

Well, that's clearly someone ye no, I know, but.

The FBI is leading the investigation, calling it an act
of targeted violence. Clearly a motive has not been released.
Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer and national church leaders condemn the attack,
of course. So listen, this is very very much an
ongoing investigation. You're going to see it on television probably
every channel you turn, as it is not only really

a sad and big story here in Michigan, but across.

Across the country, it's a national story.

Yeah, it's hard to imagine something so devastating happening in
a place of worship and here in Michigan. So we're
holding the Grand Blank community close to our hearts today, absolutely,
and we'll continue to follow along and just thinking of
everybody there and hope, you know, the people that are
alive and well are getting the help that they need,

because that's something that's going to stick with people for
a long time. It's time for feeling good in the

some remain unaccounted for. We had eight people injured, seven
in stable condition, wont and critical. This forty year old
Iraq war veteran from Burton, Michigan was killed in a
shootout with police just minutes after the attack. You could
know lit the church on fire, so if the situation
wasn't bad enough, he made it even worse by now

adding fire into the mix.

Cops got there in like eight minutes or something like that.

Yeah, yeah, and it was just a rough day for people.
The FBI is leading the investigation, calling it an act

and give me the same expression and look they go

I had breakfast at my friend Jim and Sally's house,
which he makes these really good eggs, and then we
photographed Superman caps all day and then I went back

there's a crowd there at a comedy castle.
