Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, getting ready for the big parade and
everything that comes along with the holidays. We're also getting
ready for Jay Juniors d of course, kicks off on
Tuesday next week, and it is time to call another family.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Hello, Cynthia, Yes, hj Towers for WNIC. How are you?

Speaker 1 (00:20):
I'm good?

Speaker 3 (00:20):
How are you?

Speaker 2 (00:21):
Do you have a minute to talk?

Speaker 1 (00:23):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (00:23):
Yes, okay, good?

Speaker 1 (00:25):
Right, I'm here with Alison and Chelsea from our show
on WNIC.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
You know we're calling about Jace Juniors.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Yes, Hi, we wanted to ask you about Zayin, who
is fourteen and has fined a biffit a chronic kidney disease.
I mean it sounds like Zane's had a tough couple
of years here, right.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
Since I took him on five years ago, you know,
it's been one thing after another. Yeah, and I'm finally
actually got time to breeze.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
Because it's you using in his grandpa, right.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
Yes, we don't really know where his dad is, Okay,
don't want to seek treatment, so he is basically homeless.
He hasn't talked to his dad or seen his dad
since January of twenty twenty.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
Wow, it's a lot that Yeah, and his mom recently
got remarried last summer and had a new baby, and
so he's feeling a little bit of abandonment again. You know,
he's so resilient.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
Wow, it sounds like it, and yet there's so much
more right.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
Because of the sign of bida, he got scoliosis really bad,
and then before last November they were just keeping an
eye on it, and then his spine started to collapse.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
So he's had a spinal fusion in November and now
he's been completely cleared, all through therapy, completely done. It's
not really a guarantee that it won't happen again, but
they're really hoping that it's so far good, you know what.
I'm fan, and he's only working on kidney. The other
one is completely decimated, but they don't want to take

it out because the body will just absorb it and
they just don't want to put him through any more surgery.
So basically, we're just kind of hoping that with the
new medication he's on that he'll be houlding his own
for quite a while.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
I personally am.

Speaker 3 (02:23):
A donor, and other people have asked, well, did you
get matched so you can give your kidney something. No,
I'm keeping what if I'm the perfect match? We don't know.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
That is a game I used to play in college.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
It's called DIBs, and Zay has DIBs on everyone's dad.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
That's right.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
That boy's got more than he even wants to know.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
What are some of the things that Zaane likes to do.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
He loves video games, and he absolutely loved science.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
I feel like he would love Epcot at Disney World,
which is filled with science, so much science.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Probably before we go any further, Cynthia, we wanted to
let you know that we have gone.

Through this whole application.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
We've talked to you obviously, but we would love to
take you and Grandpa and Zane to Disney World for
Jays Juniors this year.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
How's that sound a little escape? Oh my god, are
you serious?

Speaker 3 (03:13):
Yeah, this was just an interview, not a Oh my god,
thank you, thank you, because I could never afford it. Never.
We haven't had a vacation because it's just been too
crazy in everything. Oh my god, thank you.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
Stop figuring stuff out. Yeah, we just did it. Yeah,
and it's all taken care of. I mean, the hotel
park passes. You're on our Jay's Juniors. Yet with Jersey
Mike's everything you can ever want, spending money, I'm always lost.
It's everything. Yeah, it's every single thing.

He's going to be so excited. It'll be nice for
him to have an escape and something to look forward to.

It so much goes into this trip. On just the trip.

I mean you think the Memory Maker Pass where all
of your photos and those magical moments are captured, the
spending money. It's gonna be a fantastic trip. We couldn't
do it without our friends. We have Jersey Mikes and
Planet Fitness, Kroger Mascow, Canterbury Village, Imagine Theaters, Glennallore Trail's Kinetic,
the Village of Rochester Hills and of course our charitable
