Tragedy In Grand Blanc

The unfathomable happened in Grand Blanc yesterday.

This story was so terrible yesterday around ten twenty five
yesterday morning, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter
day Saints in Grand Blank, which is you know, we
we know Grand Blank when we passed it every time
we go to franken Mouth. I haven't been in Grand Blank,
but I've been to Flint and no, you know, it's
all right there kind of in that spot. But a
gunman rammed his truck through the front doors of that

church and then set the building on fire with gasoline,
open fire with an assault rifle. Hundreds of people were inside,
Families were inside.

They're going to church on a Sunday. Yeah, I mean he.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
Picked the time when it would have the most.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
Amount of people.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
Yeah, it's the most horrible thing. I got even out
to talk about it. This was a horrible thing.

Ever, No, I know, And obviously there's a reason that
it ends this way where the gunman is neutralized, neutralized
by police, and you understand why it always upsets me,
not that it happened, but because we can't punish you
and get answers as to what would cause you to

do such a lunatic thing.

And some of these cases, I feel like all these cases,
if you have this intention, they know there's a chance
that they're going to get taken out, and they don't care.

Well, they probably go in knowing, right, that's how Yeah, well,
yeah they come suicide.

Yes.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
Four people are confirmed dead as of now, two from
gunshot wounds, two found after the fire. Eight others are injured,
seven in stable condition as of now, one critical. Some
remain unaccounted for. Because now you have this terrible incident
and then that's built.

I mean it was in the fire.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
I mean I left that fire was going at ten
thirty yesterday morning. I left to go do my charity
event at like one five. I came home and was
watching live reports and still saw smoke. I mean that
really it's a massive church.

And then in addition to shooting and the fire, there
were explosive device.

Yes, yeah, and this is this forty year old guy
from Burton, Michigan.

Well, maybe someone in his life can shed some light
and arrest or. Veterans ORed it was more important to
not be here for the you know, it's only forty
Well that's clearly someone.

Ye, no, I know, but the FBI is leading the investigation,
calling it an act of targeted violence. Clearly a motive
has not been released. Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer and national
church leaders condemn the attack, of course, So listen, this
is very very much an ongoing investigation. You're going to
see it on television probably every channel you turn, as

it is not only really a sad and big story
here in Michigan, but across across the country.

Yeah, it's hard to imagine something.

So devastating happening in a place of worship and and
here in Michigan.

Close to our hearts today absolutely and will continue to
follow along and just thinking of everybody there and hope,
you know, the people that are alive and well are
getting the help that they need, because that's something that
just is going to stick with people for a long time.
