Speaker 1 (00:00):
What a weekend.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
So much happened this week, much to talk about. I
don't know where to even begin. I guess I guess
start first with Friday.

Speaker 3 (00:07):
Yeah, okay, yeah.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
So Friday, Friday, I went and got the stitches out.

Speaker 3 (00:11):
Yes, it looks great.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Physicians just a physician's assistant. Zach got the stitches out.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
And it was like, whoa bro?

Speaker 3 (00:18):
What you do? Was he like twenty two?

Speaker 2 (00:21):
Like we were in I feelt but you know, he
we had.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
A conversation as we talked about the show.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Yeah, you know, he knows we joked about him on
the show, and like, I almost I feel bad now
because it's almost insulting to say, like, oh, you're almost
a doctor. It's like a physician's assistant is no different
than like being in the nursing field.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Like it's a job.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
Job, that's what he'll do. I mean he does well,
they know, I mean they yeah, yeah, I mean it's
not like he's like a lot of people think like
you're in line to be a doctor.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
When you're in you're not. That's a position, that's his position.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
And he was so I mean, he said, yeah, it's
probably better if you if you lay down and I'm like,
I lay down on the thing and on the paper,
the crinkly paper, and I said, is it like, is
it gonna it's gonna hurt or this is going to
stick to the And he's like, I don't because I
think maybe you might have a little discomfort.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
He goes, I don't think so, and he just like
he's like, just you know.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
I gotta get in there, and and like so I'm
sitting there waiting for the worst, and it's like snip
is like first one, snip, second one. Like in my
mind it was going to be snip and pull and
there's there was nothing. There's other's gonna be pulling. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:24):
I thought there was a little bit of pulling, but
I did tell you that there was going to be
you're just going to cut them and then they're just
going to take them out.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
Yeah, it was. It was it was nothing they have
to pull, I know. But like in my mind, I'm thinking,
is it going to be like this? Yeah, So it
wasn't like like.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
One grand poll, right, Yeah, I got it. Well, we're
so happy that you made it through, that.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
I made it through no problem.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
Did you get a topical?

Speaker 1 (01:46):
I did not get a topical?

Speaker 3 (01:48):
You did need one. Nope, did you get a sucker
at the end?

Speaker 1 (01:51):
I did not get a sucker at the end.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
Did exact get a sucker at the end?

Speaker 1 (01:55):
No, that was great. So that went really well.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
Then I'm on my so I had to head down
to Hollywood Casino, a Greek town which I'll tell you
about in a minute.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
But I'm on my way.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
I'm getting ready to head downtown and I get a
message on my phone from a number that I don't know,
and I get this, Hey.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
Jay, I just wanted to send my lessons and my
prayers out to you.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
Oh, I know you've got in an accident. I just
want to tell you God will so I love you.
My gout skill a Baby sent me baby. How great
was that?

Speaker 3 (02:35):
Oh wow, that's really really nice.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
It's super nice.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
That's so sweet.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
Yeah, and and DJ and thank you to her, And
I mean that was they both they both have been
like checking on me throughout the week.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
I got how sweet?

Speaker 3 (02:47):
Sweet?

Speaker 2 (02:47):
Do that skill a Baby was shot this year? I
do not worry about me. I know, I mean what
a year.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
I mean, I have this happened. Oh yeah they're almost
the same.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
Yeah, So thank you for still a baby that was nice.
On Friday, I got On Friday, I went down to
Hollywood Casino, a Greek town, to meet up with Aaron Smolinsky,
who played a little Superman and Superman the movie coming out,
you know, lifting the truck and all that, with his
son Logan, who's a huge Zach Bryan fan.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
And we said, everybody went to that concert.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Yes, so we you know, we went down there and
they had a beautiful room at Hollywood Casino, a Greek town.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
But you know his son is eighteen. Yeah, and there's
a big hockey player.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
Yeah, bigger than Aaron, right, smaller than him.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
Right, So so you know we went to I took
them to.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
You couldn't go to Prism because he can't get.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
In the give in the casino?

Speaker 3 (03:38):
No, and why you did go there?

Speaker 1 (03:41):
Town was so reat.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
She goes, I will let me let me take you,
Let me send you guys here.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
I'm like, no, no, no, you're good. The room is
so beautiful.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
Sun can't get in?

Speaker 1 (03:48):
Is that everything's in the casino? You can't Yeah, I
can't get in the casino to get to the other side, right, yeah, okay.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
But anyway, I called Christos and I took them to
London chop house.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
Oh my gosh, it's great to.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
Server Amanda my favorite. And we had this great meal
and it was it was really good. We talked about
like just about life and like I told you when
you we never talked about Superman. We talk about like
life and especially his son. But his son played hockey
in Henderson last year his junior year of high school.
He left Colorado went to Vegas and like, you stay

(04:21):
with a host family and you play like hockey almost professionally,
like whally go. And he's like, oh yeah, I went
to where was I went out in the desert and
saw the Killers.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
And I'm like, you saw the Killers?

Speaker 2 (04:34):
What?

Speaker 3 (04:36):
And it was such a side note for him was
Zach Bryant.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
He's like, I have some videos on my phone, like
send them to me right now. And typical kid, you know,
he sends me like he's nine second coach. Yeah, I'm like,
who goes to a Killer show and doesn't tape the
whole song?

Speaker 4 (04:51):
Right?

Speaker 3 (04:51):
That's what fit into his insta story.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
Right Yeah. And he's like, well, I I typically I
go to the show. I want to enjoy the show.
And I was like, okay, tap song.

Speaker 3 (05:02):
So my guys.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
So that was fun. Here's a Hollywood casino at Greek Town.
Great place. There's no better place to bring your son
to show him the fun of Detroit than Hollywood. To
see you. Absolutely, and then I run into you and
then and I didn't even know he was coming out
at all.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
Wow, And here's you guys are going to a big concert,
huge concert, Zach Bryan tomorrow, Michigan Stadium, John Mayer.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
We went to the London chop House where it goes.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
We saw Cristo's the best signing Superman pictures and eating
steak and butter and and no alcohol, no alcoholohol, all right,
and he signed a nice one.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
No one, Well, he's got a kid and he doesn't drink,
and I am not. You know, I didn't drink, so
I'm just there.

Speaker 3 (05:41):
It was a lot of clubs after your medical incident.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
For my medical emergency, I'm just not even gonna drink alcohol.
Let's add that to the.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
Medical marvel, so you need to really But he signed
a nice Superman picture to the London chop House, which
they did.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
Yeah, oh that's cool.

Speaker 4 (05:55):
And you did see Christals did he just appear?

Speaker 3 (05:59):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (06:00):
Okay, did he only come knowing that you were coming,
or does.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
He like the restaurant.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
I think he comes in, you know, I think he's
like Sam and cheers.

Speaker 4 (06:08):
He probably is at the point in his career where
he doesn't need to be there every single day.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
It's our building too, he's not around there all the time.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
Well, I was happy he was there.

Speaker 4 (06:16):
I know we have too much to talk about, so,
but I really want to know what everyone ate.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
They each got a New York strip and I got a.

Speaker 4 (06:25):
Six ounce pile at because you're asparagus, yeah, king to
be a part of.

Speaker 3 (06:33):
It, mashed potato or anything.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
We did get a mashed potato, But what about lobster
mac and cheese? No, no, I didn't get that, but
got a nice uh I gotta I think I got
a got.

Speaker 1 (06:42):
A crap cake and from cocktail.

Speaker 4 (06:44):
It's not really fun anymore. Yeah, I don't know if
you've noticed that.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
All right, Well I think I'm fun.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
So then so after dinner, we went back to the
hotel to a couple of pictures and that was it.
And then on Saturday, you know, I was home. We
were doing we're cleaning the house and my girl's giving
the dog a bath and all that stuff, and Aaron
texted and he said, you know, we've got some time
to kill before we go to the Big House, and
Logan would really love to see your Superman office.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
And I said, okay, I said, Logan.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
Care about Superman or is sometimes when your parents.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
Are like, like, he's a level four out of ten. Okay,
But I think there's curiosity because I had a big
rock thing in my house.

Speaker 3 (07:21):
That is dad saddened.

Speaker 4 (07:22):
Aaron totally talked up the office and just like how
many amazing things you have in there. I mean I
think that got him, like the curiosity, like what.

Speaker 3 (07:30):
Could it be like?

Speaker 2 (07:31):
So they stopped by and too a couple of pictures.
I just put him on Facebook this morning and then
and then they went to the show. So they get
to the show and of course Chelsea's there now, and
I mean, you were really going for John Mayer but.

Speaker 4 (07:44):
Yes, which okay, I was super naive about this.

Speaker 3 (07:48):
I thought the draw was John.

Speaker 4 (07:50):
Mayer and I knew that, like I knew he was going.

Speaker 3 (07:53):
Before Zach Brian.

Speaker 4 (07:54):
But I was like, he's just like trying to be
a nice guy and like let Zach Brian like have
a nice moment.

Speaker 2 (07:59):
No.

Speaker 3 (07:59):
I was so dead wrong about that.

Speaker 4 (08:03):
Everyone was there for Zach Bryan and one that was
there for John Mayer was my.

Speaker 3 (08:07):
Age and older.

Speaker 4 (08:08):
It's crazy how someone can be that huge and not
and a lot of people have never heard of that.

Speaker 3 (08:14):
I have not heard a song. He's not ai, he's
not real. Let me tell you something. He crushed it.

Speaker 4 (08:21):
Fans freaked out when he came on stage and he
did something really cool with his so on the monitors
at the Big House.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
He was on the scoreboard so that you could see him.
He has like.

Speaker 4 (08:32):
A black and white filter over him at all times,
and I think we need to start walking around with
a black and white filter because everyone looks good that well.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
Oh, I think we should do that.

Speaker 3 (08:42):
Wow. Yeah, is that like a see a thing?

Speaker 4 (08:47):
Ye? Are those dudes that wear the space helmets?

Speaker 3 (08:52):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (08:52):
Yeah, references.

Speaker 3 (08:54):
It was pretty cool.

Speaker 4 (08:55):
He also wore a Michigan jersey, so that was that
was pretty neat. And someone in his band wore like
a Michigan T shirt.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
And by the way, you were there with Luannie Wall
from My Children's Hospital and Debbie Emma TAngelo from Angels
of Hope.

Speaker 4 (09:11):
Yes, yep, and we got to see Aaron and Logan
I was so happy that we got to meet up
with him.

Speaker 3 (09:17):
Were right, you didn't just run into them? Correct?

Speaker 4 (09:20):
Okay, yep, we made a plan to meet up Emma,
who does all of our videos, she was there as well.
She was yeah, her and her boyfriend went to the
show and she is an alumni.

Speaker 3 (09:33):
Well, and a Zach.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
Bryan fan is by the way, you didn't tell me,
Thank thank god. Logan, Aaron's son texted me from the show.
Did you did you happen to notice what Zach Bryan
came out to?

Speaker 3 (09:46):
Oh, mister Brightside? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (09:51):
Yeah, they played mister Brightside before Zach Bryan came out
on stage, and Logan sent me the video say, look
they're playing the Killers.

Speaker 1 (10:00):
At all excited.

Speaker 3 (10:01):
Look at that Brian trying to be friends with you.

Speaker 4 (10:04):
When we met up with Aaron and his son, Aaron
said to me, oh my god, did you hear about
John Mayer. He's like his bus didn't make it And
I was like, what are you talking about? His bus
had to have made it, and he's like no, They're
saying that he's like going to be a daily he'll
perform tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (10:19):
And I was buying this.

Speaker 4 (10:21):
I was freaking out and was like, I'm going home now,
that's great. I love that er play my favorite song,
slow Dancing in a Burning Room. I was so thrilled
about that. I have it if you wanted to play it,
but you don't have to. It's not a given that
he'll always play that.

Speaker 1 (10:36):
No.

Speaker 4 (10:37):
So here's the thing with with his performance, Hey.

Speaker 1 (10:41):
What about my Body's a Wonderland?

Speaker 4 (10:43):
Dan sing that one?

Speaker 1 (10:48):
Sounds like John Mayor.

Speaker 4 (10:50):
Yeah, it's so good, So get John Mayor not playing
the heads know your body is a Wonderland. I think
he wanted to skew more towards the country audience.

Speaker 3 (10:59):
He knew that they were there for country.

Speaker 4 (11:02):
So his SOB rock album that came out in twenty
twenty one that leans a little.

Speaker 3 (11:07):
More that way.

Speaker 4 (11:08):
So he did most of those songs okay, and then
my favorite. I think he I think he knew I
was there, Yeah, and in that crowd he felt it
in that sea of people.

Speaker 2 (11:19):
All right, we have more to talk about, have much
more to talk about. But good, I'm glad that went well.
And what was the number on that check? How many people?

Speaker 1 (11:25):
Again? Was a go for?

Speaker 3 (11:26):
One hundred and twelve thousand, one.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
Hundred and twelve thousand people.

Speaker 3 (11:28):
Yeah, I saw all of them.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
Probably probably you're parking.

Speaker 3 (11:32):
A lot SIS have charged.

Speaker 4 (11:35):
I can't tell you how many beer pong games I
drove by trying to get out of that.

Speaker 1 (11:38):
Place we're in. Yeah, a little beer.

Speaker 3 (11:42):
Po I would thought about it.

Speaker 1 (11:44):
Yeah,
