Speaker 1 (00:00):
I got back yesterday from my Shreveport trip. I was
supposed to fly from Shreveport to Atlanta to Detroit, and
then I changed my flight and I ended up flying
back out of Houston, which means another four hours.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Did take another four hour drive.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
We got out of the con at three o'clock in
Dreveport on on Sunday, and I said, Mark, you don't
have to take the rental car back. I'm going to
take it back with you. So I like, we drove
four hours back, dropped him off, dropped the rental car off,
uber to the airport, stayed at the airport, which is fine,
got up in the morning, took the elevator right down
to the basement, walk out, got on the tram, got

(00:36):
to the tell you this though Houston Airport.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
Nothing moves fast there.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
No, no, no.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
At one point I was like.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
I have to board at four forty and it's four
to ten and the line's really long, and I'm like,
am I going to be okay?

Speaker 2 (00:49):
And She's like You're gonna be fine? Like are you sure?

Speaker 1 (00:53):
I said, I board at four forty. I haven't gone
through security let yet. She goes, oh, they're going to
wait for you.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
But okay, wow, look at that all right. The line
was crazy business checking.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
And by the way, I checked in online, had my
ticket on my phone already and even had the sticker
on my bag. All I needed to do was drop
the bag off. And the line to drop the bag
off had one person standing there.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
And of course the people in front of me that
were that took forever. Of course had to be checking guitars.
He had a guitar, she had a guitar. They were
checking a guitar. I mean, the lady didn't know how
to do the guitar picking up sticks. You ran out
of stickers. I'm like, I, I didn't do all this
to miss this flight. Oh my god. I got to
the gate at four thirty nine, and the second I

(01:34):
walked up to that gate, they're like.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
Now boarding zone one, Like here we are.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
I shout perfectly for you, just like everything else in
your life. So I sit down and the lady next
to me goes, uh. She says to me, She goes,
are you uh? Are you from Michigan, Michigan.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
She guessed that because that's where the plane was going.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
Yeah, I said, yeah she was. She looked at her husband.
They both shook her head. We thought so. We thought so.
And then she said, don't mind us, because she goes,
we're country folk.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
We we We've never seen you. I've never seen a
Michigan person before.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
I'm like, really, I said, why are you going to Michigan? Right?

Speaker 2 (02:12):
A lot of them?

Speaker 1 (02:13):
She goes, he's got a tractor and it needs a part,
and it costs this amount of money to send the part,
and it's a lot cheaper for us to just go
to Michigan, pick up the part at one o'clock, rent
a car, and drive it home to ship the part.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
That is country.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
Wow. Like during the flight, she's like, how'd you get that?
I said, get what? She goes that tray?

Speaker 2 (02:33):
I said, well, it's attached to the seat.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
You open this seat, you open this arm cover here
this thing and it comes right out.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
Isn't that something? I said? The first time they've ever
been on a plane, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
She said she was on a cruise, but you know
they take cruises at a Galveston and maybe she never was.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
On a plane.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
She was nice, I mean, she wasn't mean, but I
was just like, what.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
A sheltered line? I have seen a person from Michigan.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
I love.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
She turns to her husband and goes, I got Michigan.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Like they saw me, you know, in my black jeans,
black T shirt, black hat, and my camo jacket.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
And they're like, he must be from Michigan. Like okay, wow,
were they old? No the I don't know. I'm okay, no,
I don't think so, all right.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
And then so then I landed and went to the
iHeart Building. I heard our old boss, the World's most
Interesting Boss, Paul Corvino, was going to be in the house,
and sure enough he was. Wait a minute, hey is
it Paul Corvino?

were here, I was hoping you're going to do this
for it.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
How's everything in La La La has been great? It's
seventy five, is sunny every day, so I'm getting that's
a little cool fall day here today.

Speaker 2 (03:48):

Speaker 1 (03:50):

a lot of fun.

but I'm supposed.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
To have dinner with him and Ellen k because I
really want to learn about his death experience.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
Paul, can you get all our contract? Renude another twelve years?

Speaker 1 (04:15):
That's what?

Speaker 2 (04:15):
Twelve years? Just a retirement. I can't give a reduction
and you're playing all right? All right, that's it.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
I miss I do too, the world's most interesting boss.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Plus it's still so interesting.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
Not to make this about us, but are Chelsea and
in trouble for not being in the building? No, no, no, no,
yesterday the show was off yesterday.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
I just I was there at nine am. You know,
sometimes when people are like I thought I'd see you, Wow,
underlying what's he gonna see? What's he gonna say? I mean,
you know, oh yeah, tell him hey, I mean, of
course he's gonna say.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Paul, Paul's never been tanner, never been trimmer, never been
more energetic.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
Can he be trimmer and never been more interesting? Yeah? No, totally.
It couldn't be more just say he knows the governor right,
running for governor, running for running for governor.

Speaker 1 (04:59):
I do wonder if he goes to you know how
when he was here he would go to a dinner
every single night, every single night.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
I wonder if he still does that there unbelievable. Oh,
we miss you, Paul. It was good to see you
that in the building. We love that
