Speaker 1 (00:00):
The tricks one hundred pointy three w and I see
what Jay Towers, Allison Chelsea, good morning to you. We
are back from Orlando, back from our jays Junior's trip.
Happy about that. I thought this was interesting because on
the plane, I was looking at the value of things
that people have been collecting for years, and in fact,
maybe they're not all that valuable at all. Right, Like,
(00:20):
for instance, if you've been collecting beanie babies, nearly all
of them are worth under twenty dollars.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
I wonder if that applies to the Purple Princess Diana bear,
because that at some point was actually worth like a
little something, but you had to have the tag on,
it had to be in perfect condition. But yet we
saved those forever thinking we would make money.
Speaker 1 (00:45):
But the tidy one's a big deal too.
Speaker 3 (00:47):
I don't remember because I never got into it, but
I know people did. But also didn't we stop buying
those in like, I don't know, nineteen ninety.
Speaker 1 (00:54):
Seven, you held on to them for an investment. Yeah,
so here's it. So I remember working in the Fisher Building,
and remember there's a gift shop like a card store
down there, and I worked with people that would go
down there russels maybe, Yeah, And they'd go down there
every week and see if there are any new beanie babies.
And I have an investment.
Speaker 3 (01:11):
I remember the beanie baby spindle, right, and all.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
That collecting may not have been worth a whole lot.
How about most vinyl records, They say the market saturated,
they don't really hold much value. And again I told
you I have my uncle's complete Frank Sinatra album collection,
I mean the original. Maybe you can get one hundred
bucks for like one of them. Maybe, but maybe if
it's like still sealed. I mean, there's just not a
(01:36):
lot of value in things that you think have a
ton attached to them.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
I want you to say saturated again, What did I say?
Speaker 1 (01:43):
Saturated? Leave me alone? You know I don't have any hearing.
I just want to let you know what's going on.
I can't hear anything on the plane home. My ears
filled up from having a cold last week. I cannot
hear anything. Amy next to me, I'm anchoring the news
with has asked me three questions and I'm not I'm
going I can't hear you. Yeah, I can't hear you.
Speaker 2 (02:04):
And I can't read lists.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
I can't read lips Pez dispensers, like I had a
boss that collected those.
Speaker 3 (02:12):
That's not anything I've ever heard of any other I
didn't know that was a thing.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
Even the good ones sell for a buck or two.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
Our Pokemon cards on there.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
POGs are baseball cards, newer comic books.
Speaker 3 (02:24):
I came across Facebook Marketplace like I was, you know,
just scrolling through all of our Chase Junior's posts, and
Facebook Marketplace came just came up. I never looked there, Yeah,
but like one of the second posts caught my attention
because it was like, gosh, it must have been twenty
holiday barbies in a box, all different holiday barbies for
(02:46):
maybe the last twenty years. And I was like, I mean,
oh my god, I like the young Allison inside me
like started getting all palpity.
Speaker 1 (02:52):
I was like, maybe I need all of those a
ton of money.
Speaker 3 (02:55):
No, it's the whole the whole collection, three hundred and
twenty dollars. And that did not seem right to me. Yeah,
that seems like it's like really low end fee. Yeah,
three and twenty Maybe I don't know. I felt bad.
I was like, it's see, they were all in the boxes.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
I didn't get it. I wonder if there will be
any value to my Everybody Loves Raymond chair from darsh Roberts.
That just showed up.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
Oh my god, that's so awesome.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
You got a light. Yeah. Did her pants suit show
up too? It did? You got her pants? Not a
pants suit. I got a blouse that you were on
the finer pants.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
Why, I don't know. I don't know why. I just
had to have it.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
Jay, Listen, you have we need to have an intervention
for you.
Speaker 3 (03:36):
Everybody's very supportive with all the Superman stuff and even
some Batman stuff. Super supportive, buy it all, anything you
can get your hands on. But breaking into Everybody Loves Raymond,
I be able to understand that she is sitting in
the chair.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
He also dabbles into Golden Girls every once in a while.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
Nine seasons of Everybody Loves Raymond. It's her chair.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
Did you try sitting in it?
Speaker 3 (03:59):
No?
Speaker 1 (04:00):
Oh, that's her. That would crazy, I would touch it.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
Actually kind of a big deal.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
It is kind of a big deal. I fancy myself
as somebody that has a lot of different things in
their collection, not just Superman. Maybe I'm trying to maybe
I'm trying to break out a little into a order.
I'm not a hoarder a little bit. No, I don't
think so.
Speaker 3 (04:17):
I'll show you a order.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
Yeah, all right, one hunder point three.
Speaker 2 (04:22):
W n I see
