Our great friend Cam from uh Kroger is here with us,
who in just moments, there are listeners that are going
to have a thanksgiving because of this nice man here.
Thank you to Kroger for always being our great partners,
for breaking and entering Christmas wish, but also are giving
thanks to our listeners. They're getting turkeys, they're getting gift cards,
(00:22):
They're going to get their holiday shopping done at at Kroger.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
But even more importantly, look what he brought us for
a gift giving. This is selling fashion ugly sweater season.
This is Roger ugly sweaters.
Speaker 2 (00:38):
I love it with all the merchandises that we will
need to make our holidays.
Speaker 1 (00:43):
Better at Kroger. What's your favorite thing on the on
the sweatshirt? Don't say chocolates, well, I.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
Would say the Neapolitan ice cream is one of my favorites.
I love that, but but also the other thing is
my favorite. I'm gonna wear this inside the store when
we do our shopping later. Yes, and Chelsea, Chelsea, He's
gonna look at me like I'm a fool, because I will.
I will go around Kroger and anytime that the voice
comes on the thing and it's me doing an announcement.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
I actually will walk up to people and go, I'm like,
do you want to take a selfie? Do you ask
them if they want to take a selfie with him?
A lot of times it's like a like a ninety
year old guy. The guy has no clue what I'm doing.
The ceiling tile is gonna fall or something. But you know,
it's fun. It is so fun.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
But I want to talk your zero Hunger, zero waste
program that you guys do and have been doing since
what mid twenty sixteen, seventeen, twenty seventeen, twenty seventeen, has
fed so many families in our area, in our listening areas.
I mean, if it wasn't for what you guys do
in doing that program, there are many people and we
just saw the shutdown and stuff where people were worried
(01:55):
about getting you know, food that you guys benefits so
many different agencies around our area.
Speaker 1 (02:03):
So thank you guys for that not a problem all.
Speaker 3 (02:05):
I mean, you know, it's the holiday season, it's the
season of giving and families are supposed to gather on
the table and enjoy a warm meal with one another
and make new memories. So whether it's partnering with you guys,
partner with any of the great organizations across the Metro
Detroit area, we're happy to do our partnering the.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
Holiday season and every breaking and entering Christmas wish that
we do one of the greatest things that we can
provide for the listener, that is getting this wish done
or the hopefully now new listener, because a lot of
times it's a listener that turns somebody else on. Uh,
you know, for the holidays is when we say hey,
and we are also going to fill your cupboards your
refrigerators with food so that you guys don't have to
(02:41):
worry about that. The peace of mind of a mom
to know that her kids are going to be eating is.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
The one's worry about. That's right, that's right.
Speaker 2 (02:49):
Well, thank you for coming in. I appreciate it. Out
Are you going to have Thanksgiving with us? Are you
going to hang out for a little.
Speaker 1 (02:54):
Bit and I just show up for nothing? To that?
What is a must have it Thanksgiving? Okay? So we
talk of me personally, yes, you personally?
Speaker 3 (03:04):
Man, You know, nothing can be some Gramma Gala mashed potatoes. Yeah,
I put on extra amounts of salt. But you know,
at the end of the day, that's that's what that's
what cleanses the pal Do you know how she makes it?
You know, there's some things that are better left unknown.
It's grama secret. It's never getting up.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
Potato still in it? Nope, okay, yeah, potato. Do you
make it? Do you make like? Do you make your
wife make them on that way? Or like?
Speaker 2 (03:35):
You know, because I will say this to you, my
sister Tracy makes the best mashed potatoes. Tracy has For years,
Chelsea and I would make mashed potatoes. They weren't the same.
Chelsea would see how happy I was when my sister's
mashed potatoes would come out. She eventually went to her
and got the mashed potato recipe. I think you got
to make sure that grandma passes that gent down to
(03:56):
the generation.
Speaker 3 (03:57):
Right now, it's it's you know, commonly doplicated. But nobody
can nobody can relate it yet. So we'll keep pushing on.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
How would you grade your wife smashed potatoes? Answer?
Speaker 2 (04:14):
Liar, Liar, Come on, I don't know if there are
wives out there who hate making certain things because it'll
never live up to either the mom or the grandma made.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
I think my mom with literally everything that she makes
my dad. My dad never likes it, like, really likes
his mom's cooking way better. I swear, I'll be honest.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
I think that I would never say that to Chelse,
like I would never tell her that, but she can
see and my sister Mary Joe makes the best stuffing.
Chelsea got that recipe and learned how to do it.
The potatoes, you know, that was the thing. And I
think that as a significant other, it's not making you
look like you're a bad cook. I mean, these are
recipes that obviously my sister didn't start that recipe.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
She got it from somebody else. They could have pulled
Chelsea and tweaked it a little bit, a little sabotage.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
My sisters want to make sure I'm fat and happy.
But you're right, though, Chelsea is saying that this morning,
