Speaker 1 (00:01):
Well, join in the morning's Dirty on the thirty.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
A little late with the Dirty, we got a long
commercial break that we had to play. I was running
a little bit late. I apologize, but Shannon's got it
your first Dirty of the morning.

Speaker 3 (00:10):
What's going on channel Well, yesterday Rob Reiner's son Nick,
charged with two counts of first degree murder for taking
the lives of his parents. This is La County DA
Nathan Hockman talking about that.

Speaker 4 (00:22):
Today, I'm here to announce that our office will be
filing charges against Nick Reiner, who was accused of killing
his parents, actor, director Rob Reiner and photographer producer Michelle
Singer Reiner. These charges will be two counts of first
degree murder with the special circumstance of multiple murders. He

(00:44):
also facets a special allegation that he personally used a
dangerous and deadly weapon, that being a knife. These charges
carry a maximum sentence of life in prison without the
possibility parole or the death day. No decision at this
point has been made with respect to the death power day.

(01:06):
We have requested, and currently Nick Reiner is being held
without bail.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
Now, those special circumstances that you just heard, the DA
mention make Nick Reiner eligible for the death penalty. That's
how that figures into this. The announcement of the charges,
of course, comes two days after three days, two days
now after the couple was found dead from stab wounds
in their home in the upscale Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles.
Now on his way out of the courthouse, this is

(01:35):
Nick Reiner's attorney, Alan Jackson talking to the press.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
Very very expensive attorney, by the way.

Speaker 3 (01:42):
Attorney for Kevin Spacey, attorney for Karen Reid, that really popular.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
Karen page today. I know we've talked about it on
the elevator. Good, why is he here?

Speaker 3 (01:52):
Has to be medically cleared before they could be transported
to court.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
He has not been medically.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Cleared of system.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
Yeah, so Nick wasn't there, and that was the question.
Where was he?

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Yeah, they're still checking out his medical issues that he's got,
which is obviously his mental state.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
This guy.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
A lot of people are wondering where did the money come,
because obviously Nick Reiner wasn't working and he was living
off of his parents. Could be a trust fund that
they believe that he's taking a loan against. Maybe there's
a trust fund that's there that this guy Alan Jackson
is going to be getting money from for defending him.
Could be he's also just doing it for the publicity

(02:33):
because he was a big prosecutor in LA now he's
a big defense attorney. So can I throw a couple
things in there because I've been I watched that special
that was on the Rob Reiner Special that they had
two of them, one on ABC, but I also watched
one that was on CNN. Turns out, from what they
were talking about in CNN, Nick got into an argument

(02:53):
of verbal argument with Bill Hayterer.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
Yes, which I have a ton for next hour, Storney,
But yes, that.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
Argument led his mom and dad to have to leave
the party because they were so embarrassed by Nick left.
The rumor that they're saying now is Nick then left
went and checked into a Malibu hotel for a night.
Then they believe, came back to the house because he
was still so pissed at his dad and mom that
he killed his dad and then killed his mom. And

(03:22):
then I guess the next day a meso SEUs came
yes and went to the house. Well, I guess didn't.
The rumor was didn't hear from them was screaming up
to them and didn't go upstairs, called the daughter, and
the daughter is the one the phone. So they they
are piecing all this together, trying to figure out what's
going on. But they believe that Nick was so upset

(03:44):
with the Bill Hayter conversation. I'm wondering what Bill Hayter
and him were arguing.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
The paparazzi caught up with Bill Hatter, well, they I
shouldn't say caught up with him, saw him out yesterday
and he just looked stressed, stressed or this news.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
I was watching some of these tapes with Nick.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
I've been going back and I've sent a ton of
this audio to Shannon. But some of the past interviews
that he had, I mean, you could see where he
seemed like he was doing well in his life, and
then you could see where he wasn't doing so well
in his life.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
It's really sad.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
I don't watch The Voice, but I know a lot
