The only other thing greater that starts with the letter
T than Tigers is Taylor.
Speaker 3 (00:47):
And Shannon's Got the Dirty on the thirty.
Speaker 4 (00:49):
Today, Well, Taylor Swift's Life of a So Girl is
officially here.
Speaker 5 (00:55):
Thank you, k you, sweet.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
Sister, Shauna, Serena car.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
Okay, and Ney more you play the.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
I think so.
Speaker 4 (01:13):
I don't know what the first single is going to be.
I would I would assume it's this one, but Lyddia
and I woke up early and already listened to the
whole thing from start to finish. But the fate of
Ophelia Opelite would honey, eldest daughter, and this song right
here Wishless all contain references to her fiance Travis Kelcey
(01:33):
and their relation to.
Speaker 5 (01:34):
You, A couple of kids, wait, the basketball, the subtle
(01:57):
dumb gotto wishes.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
I just lots of explicit lyrics, like songs with the
E next to him.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
I'm like, really, am that's amazing? Yeah, podcast a nice
big plug.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
Yeah, I forget what song that's in.
Speaker 4 (02:16):
Swifty is talking about one of the songs, a song
called Actually Romantic, which seemingly references Taylor's feud with Charlie XCX,
which we were talking about this during the show and Mojo,
you were like, I didn't even know she was ever
feuding with Charlie XCX. Well, many fans think that this
song Actually Romantic again is the name is a response
(02:36):
to Charlie XCX's album Brat, although Charlie has denied that
her song Sympathy as a Knife was a distrack directed
at Taylor.
Speaker 2 (02:45):
But I think this all.
Speaker 4 (02:46):
Starts and Lydia please correct me if I'm wrong with
Charlie like years ago making a comment about Taylor's fans
and the crowds at Taylor's show, specifically on the reputation
to her when she was like, oh, it feels like
you're waving to like five year olds.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
Yeah, can you do any sort of performance?
Speaker 3 (03:05):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (03:05):
And then she's also tried making fun of Taylor's friendship
bracelets by like replicating them and putting them on like
chopped off hands, like that she makes on mannequins.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
It's really weird. Hop beef.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
Yeah, here's a clip of that song.
Speaker 5 (03:20):
I heard you call me boring borbi when you outfeeling brain.
I've fived my ex and then you said you glad
he go study old me a song say, and it
makes you sick to see a face.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
Some people might be a send.
Speaker 4 (03:40):
I mean it's definitely directed at somebody in Swifty say
she's pointing right at Charlie XCX. Later this morning, Son
Diddy Combs will be in court for his much anticipated sentencing, hearing.
Speaker 3 (03:55):
You want the whole story, right?
Speaker 2 (03:56):
I do want the whole story?
Speaker 3 (03:57):
Okay, good, Okim hold on a second.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
Uh sorry, that's my bad.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
No, I'm sorry.
Speaker 6 (04:04):
This morning, Sean Diddy Combs preparing to learn his fate.
A judge will sentence him today on two prostitution related convictions.
The music mogul, was acquitted in July of more serious
sex trafficking and racketeering charges, but still faces a potentially
lengthy prison sentence. Prosecutors asking for eleven years. Combs's lawyers
(04:25):
say the one year that he's already spent behind bars
should be enough.
Speaker 7 (04:29):
That's going to be everyone's last opportunity to get any
kind of mitigation or aggravating factors to increase or decrease
his potential prison sentence.
Speaker 6 (04:37):
Combs is expected to speak it today's sentencing. In a
letter to the judge, he requested leniency, saying I want
to apologize and say how sincerely sorry I am for
all the hurt and pain that I have caused others
by my conduct. I take full responsibility and accountability for
my past wrongs. He also apologized to his ex girlfriend
Cassie Ventura, the woman he was seeing assaulting in this
(05:01):
Los Angeles hotel in twenty sixteen, Combs saying I literally
lost my mind. I was dead wrong for putting my
hands on the woman that I loved. I'm sorry for
that and always will be. The defense will also point
to the work Combs has done in prison, teaching a
business management class one inmate, saying after the first class,
I can see how he became successful. He is a dedicated,
(05:24):
motivated individual. The defense also submitting a letter from one
of Combs's other ex girlfriends, identified as Gina. During the trial,
she contends that prosecutors pressured her to feel like a victim.
Prosecutors have asked Combe's former assistant to deliver a victim
impact statement today, and Cassie Ventura has already submitted a
letter telling the judge she's scared Combs will walk free,
(05:46):
writing his first actions will be swift retribution towards me
and others who spoke up about his abuse at trial.
Experts say the judge's sentence will likely land in the middle.
Speaker 7 (05:57):
We do know that the government is saying that there
are some Aggerga factors that the court should consider, and
that's why they believe that eleven years makes sense.
Speaker 3 (06:04):
But of course they're going to be some mitigation there
as well. But I would imagine the.
Speaker 7 (06:07):
Judge looks somewhere in between the requests of both sides
and aligns more of the probation report.
Speaker 3 (06:12):
Interesting.
Speaker 4 (06:13):
I don't know if it's sad in that clip, but
his defense team is requesting a sentence of just fourteen months,
So fourteen months compared to eleven years, and again he
would be pretty much out because of time served.
Speaker 1 (06:23):
I think, yeah, he did say that in the report,
but they said somewhere in the middle, which if it's
somewhere in the middle between eleven years and fourteen months,
he will serve time according to what legal experts are saying. Interesting,
I did not know that story that they did in
the ABC report about how some of the witnesses said
that the defense told them to make their stories seem
(06:45):
more sympathy or the prosecutors said, make your stories be
more sympathetic.
Speaker 3 (06:49):
That probably always happy, Yeah, I mean trying to get
the jury asot. Yeah, be said, but are they telling
them to lie when they're doing that.
Speaker 1 (06:56):
That's the thing that you hope that they aren't doing
because if they're doing that and that's tampering with a witness,
they say, it wouldn't be Tony Bugsby's first time, although
he wasn't the lawyer this one.
Speaker 3 (07:07):
He's no, it's a prosecutor.
Speaker 2 (07:08):
But if you missed the last hour of thirty, there
were there were new two new.
Speaker 4 (07:13):
Sexual assault lawsuits filed against Diddy just hours ago.
Speaker 1 (07:18):
And they're lined up waiting to get into that courtroom.
