Speaker 1 (00:01):
Jordan The Mornings Dirty on the thirty.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
It's hard to believe, isn't it that we're a week
away from jingle Ball? So one week away from us
having the time of our lives. You have the Dirty
on the thirty, Shannon, we have wore the roses. Then
right afterwards, just to kind of give us a little
clue on what to be listening for while you're driving
to work. It's crazy this morning. It's cold.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
It is so cold.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Three old in the studio, are slippery? Be careful?

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (00:26):
Have any of you guys watched the John Benet Ramsey
docuseries on Netflix?

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Started there?

Speaker 3 (00:32):
I started it too, Yeah, okay, so fascinating. Okay, if
you don't know anything about this murder case, it's old,
and that's why I kind of want to, you know,
jus your memory a little bit. That's a pageant term,
by the way, because she was a pageant princess. But
it happened in Colorado the day after Christmas back in
nineteen ninety six. John Vinet was this beautiful six year
old little girl pageant queen. She was found dead in

(00:54):
her basement. Her killer, to this day has never been found. Well,
fast forward to Now authorities in Colorado are following up
on dozens of leads in this case, and they think
they are real close to finding a resolution.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
There's new hope in the decades old unsolved murder case
of John Benet Ramsey. Sources say progress is being made
in the investigation into the six year old's killing. Obviously
a homicide, a criminal act has been committed.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
Somebody did it.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
Sources close to the investigation say a team of experts
is going through the remaining evidence using modern scientific and
cold case techniques to try and crack the case. Jean
Benet's murder has frightened residents of Bouldroom. It was the
day after Christmas in nineteen ninety six when John Benet's
parents realized their daughter was missing from their Boulder, Colorado home.

(01:46):
A handwritten ransom note demanding one hundred and eighteen thousand
dollars was left behind on the stairs by the kitchen.
Hours later, John Ramsey found his daughter dead in the basement.
The unsolved murder captivating people for nearly thirty years. Netflix
now out with the docu series on the case. She
had tape over her mouth and her hands are tied

(02:08):
behind her back, and I immediately pulled the tape off.
John Benny's parents and brother were cleared. In two thousand
and eight, after additional DNA evidence was found, Boulder Police
released an annual update on the case, releasing the update
earlier than usual this year due to increased attention on
the investigation. Detectives are regularly investigating some aspects of this

(02:28):
terrible crime, and I receive updates frequently.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
Isn't that crazy that every year at the end of
the year they do an update on it like that,
that one which is Bowlder, Colorado. And I'm sure that
they've got their fair share of crime, but this was
the case that.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
I mean, they printed the finger at everybody, the mom,
the dad, the brother, the maintenance guy, the yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
You know it's crazy. And it's my first time I'm
hearing it, so it might not be new knowledge or
super crazy. But you can't go missing the house. Can't
be crazy. Big You mean to tell me it took
you two hours to go look in the basement.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
So yeah, there was some weird. There's a lot of weird.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
I don't know if this is still the case. I
think it was for a while. I think John b A.
Ramsey's dad lives in Michigan. He's he's Charla. I think
they had a home in charlov Waite and I think
that that he's still I don't know if he's still alive.
The mom died, mom passed away, Yeah, and I think
the dad is still here.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
Yeah he is.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
Yeah, brother the brother. But he was cleared, they said
in two thousand and eight. Although they say that they're
going to catch the killer now, is a killer has
never gotten away before? How is this that Netflix has
now two big hits on their hands off of stories
that were like from times where some of our listeners
weren't even alive.

Speaker 4 (03:45):
Yeah, Dan Campbell says, got a big deal talking about
running back to your gibbs, accidentally leaking some of the
team's audibles and protection calls on.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
Social media over the which I still think is ol buddy.
But Campbell telling the Detroit Free Press, I don't really
give a crap, he said, quote. If we're gonna lose
because of code words, then we're not good enough anyway.
So social media posts where you know there was a
bunch of plays or partial calls on a whiteboard behind him,

(04:17):
is that something where you need to just remind a
player to be smart about what their post on social media?

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Is there anything you know the good? Who's that?

Speaker 4 (04:24):
He gives a post a photo of Jefferson with a
bunch of you know, lato on the whiteboard and the
running back from behind him.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
Yeah, he said at the end of his statement, it
doesn't matter. It's not gonna hurt us, it won't affect us,
and it's all good. So that's that. And Britney Spears
is single once again, and I mean legally this time,
seeing her ex husband sam Ashgari have finalized their split
or had I should say, back in May, but they
had to wait six months before California law would recognize

(04:57):
them as truly single. So she's single. He initiated the
divorce in August of last year, just over a year
after they tied the knot, and neither of them have
really wasted any time getting into new relationships. Remember she
moved on with that. I don't know, is he the
landscape or the housekeeper or something that the but he's
like he has like a wrap sheet that's a mile long.

(05:18):
And then Sam's dating some model or actress or I
don't even care. But anyway, she's a really single For
all of today's dirty. Catch up on the podcast, on
the free iHeartRadio app, em in the Morning, dot com.

Speaker 4 (05:34):
And Moju in the Morning on social media, the latest
christ It's Module in the Morning.
