Jordian Mornings, Dirty on the thirty. All Right, Shannon with
some breaking news and news.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
More news on what's going on this morning in Minnesota,
as I'm sure there are going to be more people
out on the streets today in protest of what happened yesterday.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
I really just want to catch you up in case
you're waking up and not knowing what the heck happened.
But an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent and ICE agent
shaw and killed woman yesterday during an immigration related operation
in Minneapolish in Minneapolis, excuse me, in which she did
not appear to be the target, and the nation is

(00:54):
now very divided and very on edge because of this.
The shooting victim has been identified as Renee Nicole Good.
She's thirty seven years old, she's a mom, she is
a US citizen. Very different stories have since emerged over
what led to the shooting and about the shooting itself.
I said its officers were carrying out targeted operations when

(01:16):
rioters blocked their vehicles and this particular woman weaponized her
vehicle quote unquote in what the agency called an attempt
to run down officers. They're saying this was very clearly
an act of terrorism that left ICE officers fearing for
their lives. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Christinoum.

Speaker 4 (01:36):
It was an act of domestic terrorism. They got stuck
in the snow because of the adverse weather that is
in Minneapolis. They were attempting to push out their vehicle,
and a woman attacked them and those surrounding them and
attempted to run them over and ram them with her vehicle.
An officer of ours acted quickly and defensively, but.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
So Minneapolis Mayor, however, Jacob Frye and Minneso to Governor
Tim Walls are pushing back on ICE's version of events.

Speaker 5 (02:05):
Having seen the video of myself, I want to tell
everybody directly that is this was an agent recklessly using
power that resulted in somebody dying getting killed. Two ICE
get out of Minneapolis. We do not want you here.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
So here's the thing.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
There are a lot of people who were there, a
lot of witnesses who describe seeing this woman in the
vehicle trying to flee officers when she was shot. So
there is a lot of dispute over the notion that
she was trying to run the officers over. So the
FDFBI is now investigating, and the big question is was

(02:50):
it murder or was it simply self defense?

Speaker 1 (02:53):
The big story this morning, the updated discorer Sewing is
the grieving wife of the woman that was shot dead.
She's blaming herself for her wife being there, because she
said that she made her go to do that and
be part of the protest, and so that will be
something that you'll probably see later on the news today.

(03:15):
It's wild to think that this happened just a couple
of three miles away from where in twenty twenty the
you know, George Floyd situation took li.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
I pray for her and I pray for her children.

Speaker 6 (03:29):
A mother of three, and according to the reports, she
has a six year old whose dad died in twenty
twenty three and now he doesn't have.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
His father or his mother. So I pray for him.
I also pray I will say this to you, I
pray for our country.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
I pray for what we're going through in our country,
and I pray for that ICE officer and the ICE officers,
and I know some people will take that as your
supporting ICE. But that man's life is now completely changed.
And I get the idea that we live in a
world where, you know, there are many people that want

(04:06):
this whole situation with ICE to be taken out.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
But I don't know why anybody.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
Becomes an officer of anything, whether it be a firefight
or police officer, whatever, and that guy's life is now
completely changed. I mean he will he probably could be
faced with now murder charges for what he did. And obviously,
if they do an investigation and they decide that what
he did was that, then he should. But think about
your life changes in a day. You wake up in

(04:34):
the morning thinking that you're going to have what is
going to be your normal day.

Speaker 6 (04:37):
I hope he go to jail, and I hope the
homies running train on him.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
Okay, Well, I hope that anybody that you know goes
into their job today and does something that is causes
some harm or hurt to somebody else.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
I hope that you guys are okay. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
I have more of a thing where I'm glad I
don't do any of these jobs for a living, and
I'm glad that I'm in a nice, warm, cozy studio
right now. But I think our world is so messed
up right now. Yeah, I think it's very very sad
what's going on in our world?

Speaker 3 (05:11):
In other dirty this morning, the Kansas City Chiefs say
they are aware of social media allegations of domestic abuse
made by an ex girlfriend of Wide Receiver or she Rice,
and are in communication with the NFL as this situation unfolds.
So this woman posted on Instagram some photos and a
story claiming she endured years of abuse during their long

(05:32):
actually relationship, including alleged abuse while she was pregnant, being
left outside and freezing temperatures, and property damage. This comes
as he's been in some big recently pled guilty last
year in a hit and run case, served a six
game suspension, was ordered to jail time and probation. Just

(05:55):
not good things. The chiefs say again they're aware, they're
gathering information about what happened here. Bradley Cooper hanging out
on the SmartLess podcast and finally commenting on those rumors
that he has had plastic surgery.

Speaker 5 (06:12):
Here's what they say, what's one thing about Bradley that
you that people don't know?

Speaker 2 (06:17):
And I said, well, there's a lot, And then I
was good.

Speaker 5 (06:20):
I was going to say, because we keep reading people,
everybody thinks that Bradley's had plastic surgery.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
Everybody keeps saying that. I'm like, what people don't know
is that he has it. He has it, he has it.

Speaker 5 (06:32):
I get like people cut Like some people came up
to me the last couple of weeks and they're like.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
Oh, you look good. There you go. He does not.

Speaker 3 (06:39):
I hear Jason Bateman's voice in my heart.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
What about Bradley Cooper's looks? Does that make your heart
skip a bean? Maybe he had an allergic reaction.

Speaker 7 (06:51):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
There's some.

Speaker 6 (06:55):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (06:55):
And lastly's steak is now at the top of the
food pyramid. Yesterday, the Trump administration and Veil revised dietary
guidelines that put a heavy emphasis on protein, steak, cheese,
whole milk, butter, beef, tallow among them, while taking a
tougher stance on sugar and refined carbs.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
So these new.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
Guidelines, and if you see the image of it, it
basically turned the food pyramid kind of sort of upside down,
so now whole grains are at the bottom, meat and
cheese are at the top, along with fruits and vegetables
of course, and some new ideas on alcohol consumption. Here's
doctor Oz talking about that.

Speaker 7 (07:31):
Alcohol is a social lubrict that brings people together.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
In the best case scenario.

Speaker 7 (07:37):
I don't think you should drink alcohol, but it does
allow people an excuse to bond and socialize, and there's
probably nothing healthier.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
They're having a good time with friends in a safe way.

Speaker 7 (07:46):
If you look at the blue zones, for example, around
the world, where people live the longest, alcohol is sometimes
part of their diet. Again, small amounts, taken very judiciously
and usually in a celebratory fashion. So there is alcohol
on these dietary guidelines, but the implication is don't have
it for breakfast.

Speaker 3 (08:02):
I think they just made it more generally, right, wasn't
it wasn't it two drinks or less a day for men,
one drink or less to day for women. Was that
what it used to be or is that what it
is now? I think that's what it was, and now
it's just generic, like don't drink a ton.

Speaker 1 (08:17):
I do have to say this that it's interesting because
of you know, in the past, it was always saturated
fats were bad for you. Cake saturate fats, they're bad
for your cardiac and U And now you can have
saturated fats again. I wonder what all the doctors are
thinking about this.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
I do know this.

Speaker 1 (08:35):
You talk to trainers and stuff, and like if a
physical trainer that works you out says that the problem
with things nowadays is that people don't eat enough.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
Yeah. Yeah, they're not even protein.

Speaker 3 (08:47):
That's likely hear about all right. If you miss anything
from today's show, you can always go back and catch
up on the podcast. On the free iheartradiolat.
