Speaker 1 (00:01):
Well, joorn in the mornings Dirty on the thirty, All right,
what do you got in this hour's dirty Shannon.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
So we're going to start with an update on the
American Airlines flight crash.
Speaker 3 (00:12):
Confirmed last night.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Everybody on board that jet and also the black Hawk
military helicopter that collided near Reagan National Airport Wednesday night
has died. Both aircrafts ended up in the Potomac River
after that mid air collision. I think they are very
confident that they are going to recover all of the bodies,
but just still such a sad situation. Yesterday, Cruise recovered
(00:34):
not only the flight data recorder but also the cockpit
voice recorder from American Airlines flight fifty three forty two.
President Trump yesterday speaking specifically about that helicopter being where
it should not have been. The helicopter obviously was in
the wrong place at the wrong time. He also suggested
(00:55):
that DEI hiring practices so diversity, equity and inclusion, have
contributed to that crash because they have common sense, okay,
and unfortunately a lot of people don't.
Speaker 1 (01:09):
We want brilliant people doing this. This is a major
chess skin at the highest level.
Speaker 4 (01:14):
We'll see based in that commons based on somebody well,
a reporter specifically asked him about that, and that was
his response.
Speaker 1 (01:21):
He said that the DEI hiring of the air traffic
controllers that they were and this has been longer than
just the last four years, because he was blaming Biden
for this. For the last decade, they've allowed the ability
to hire people that worked air traffic control that had
maybe disabilities and I don't know necessarily if they're the
(01:45):
ones guiding planes and or but but he that's what
he was saying on it. But I will say this
to you, there is definitely a shortage of these people
there and a lot of people are saying that that
d the DEI hiring cause.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
For a sure, we learned and talked about all morning
of there there was one person doing the job of
two people.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
But I don't think that's due to DEI hiring. Is
that due to the.
Speaker 5 (02:07):
Federal funding freezes and all of that, because the DEI hiring.
When it comes to this, air traffic controllers one of
the hardest jobs you can get. You have to pass
physical exams, and then you have to get a degree,
and then you have to pass a training session at
a specific airport in the country and then they assigned
you like it's a very difficult process. You have to
be under thirty one. I thought when they were talking
(02:28):
about the DEI hiring it was for So it's not
just air traffic controllers in this department, right, So they
have like housekeeping and stuff like that. So the DEI
aspects of inclusion of people who may have paralysis or
disabilities or whatever could be in other jobs within the department,
but it's not air traffic controllers themselves.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
I don't know if that's I don't know any of
the specifics on what you just said, but I do
know this. The idea that they had an undermanned air
traffic control tower and that they allowed one guy to leave,
you know, early from work, Yes, is the reason why
this incident took place.
Speaker 3 (03:04):
Now, I agree with you on that, and.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
They need to start getting their crap together and hire
people that are qualified to work in these jobs and
hire abundance of these people, and we need to pay
for that connection. That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (03:15):
I feel like if you come out and you make
a statement like that, you need to have a little
bit more explanation and not just in a sentence saying
it was the Yeah, I.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
Don't think that there is. I don't think there's a
taxpayer that wouldn't say that they would want their taxes
to go towards the safety of planes not falling out
of the air. I mean we can agree there so.
And I feel bad if I was a family member
one of those people that was on that plane and
found out that that guy or or woman or whoever
it was that was inside that tower left work early
and they let them go home. I mean, that's craziness.
(03:44):
That's that is. We get upset when we go to
Meyer and they close down lanes and don't have enough
people working check out. That's not your safety in your life. There,
we're talking the safety of these people, and these people
died because of that, and that's that's somebody. Somebody needs
to pay for that.
Speaker 3 (04:00):
I just want to I agree with you.
Speaker 1 (04:02):
I just wish we were addressing those issues. Well, we
that better be the issue that's that's addressed on this
and we need to.
Speaker 4 (04:09):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
Even if those people get paid as high as you know, uh,
brain surgeons pay them because they're guiding planes and helicopters
in their hands.
Speaker 4 (04:20):
Maybe Elon who's running the DOGE program, you know government efficiency.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
Well, we'll look into it. Well, you know what's going
to happen next, They're gonna have AI do it. And
guess what. I don't trust AI.
Speaker 3 (04:30):
We laugh.
Speaker 1 (04:31):
I'd rather have a human. Right, here's the problem. Air
traffic controllers make a mistake. People die. It's like people
that are operating on you in an operating room. It's
not like you or I making a mistake, and we
have dead air. Right.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
Heard something about our very own Jared Goff this week.
Actually heard this from two different people, and I wanted
to pass it along because it makes everything makes sense
to me.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
Did he play last night in that NFC?
Speaker 2 (04:56):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (04:57):
Yes, yes, his team.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
Won, right, I don't watch that stuff. It's stupid to me.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
Okay, Well, anyway, his name was out there and I
was like, oh here, okay, So the night before the
Lions took on the Commanders, he got freaking food poisoning
and was up all night burfing in his guts out.
Speaker 3 (05:14):
Makes sense?
Speaker 1 (05:15):
Why did they not talk about that?
Speaker 2 (05:16):
He that he didn't play as phenomenally as he normally
does that night.
Speaker 3 (05:21):
I don't, I don't, I don't know that. But two
different people told me he was. He was ill all.
Speaker 2 (05:27):
Night and still managed to get out on the field,
and that's lay.
Speaker 3 (05:31):
I mean, that would be rough, right.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
I mean he that was the worst game he had
all year by far, but can you imagine having to
play that was a bad game too, although thank god
we won that game.
Speaker 3 (05:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
In other NFL dirty today, Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker
being accused by six different massage therapists of inappropriate sexual
behavior at four different spas located in the Baltimore area allegedly.
Speaker 3 (05:58):
And I can't really read through all.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
Of these allegations because some of them are not appropriate
for the airbody exposed his genitals, touched to women with
his genitals, did some other stuff on the massage table
following treatments that I'm not going to get specific about.
But multiple therapists allege that his behavior was so bad
that they would see his name on the schedule and
cancel him before he could come in, or they just
(06:22):
banned him altogether. I know two spas specifically banned him
from coming back. The Baltimore Banner did an investigation into this,
and they launched their investigation after receiving a tip at
the beginning of the month, they spoke to six massage
therapists who all brought up allegations against Tucker. They happened
a few years ago, twenty twelve through twenty sixteen, but
(06:44):
these these women said they've been waiting a long time
to share their story. The Ravens aware of the allegations,
They say they are monitoring the situation. Justin Tucker came
right out and called all of the allegations unequivocally false.
Zain Malix's former one direct Louis Tomlinson, was hanging out
at Zane's show this week in La So Wednesday night,
(07:05):
I believe and he Zaane confirmed Louie's presence at the show,
and this was at Shrine, the Shrine Expo Hall in
la He actually announced to the crowd an old friend
of mine is here supporting me tonight. I don't want
to give his location away, but Louis is here tonight.
Speaker 3 (07:22):
And obviously got a very warm reception from all of
the fans.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
And just a heads up on something happening today and
today only. It might not be July, but I just
saw that seven eleven is gifting customers a free small
slurpy of your choice today. Normally they do this on
July eleventh, like hence seven eleven, but they're doing it
today to celebrate the end of January, because they say
(07:48):
so many Americans experience a mood decline in the cooler months,
so they're offering free slurpees today to help beat the
winter gloom. Little docent joy if you want to go
beat your free smell Slurpy.
Speaker 1 (08:04):
