(00:24):
Jordian Mornings, Dirty on the thirty.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
All right, Shannon, what's trending in this dirty Last night?

Speaker 3 (00:29):
I'm Jimmy Kimmel Live. Michelle Obama revealing this about her
relationship with the late Rob Reiner and his wife Michelle.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
I think it was a night before last, so it
was coming.

Speaker 4 (00:40):
You're right, yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
I also I feel like I should bring up I
know you and your husband were friends with Rob and
Michelle Reiner, and I'm very sorry for your loss.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
Oh my god, how long have you known the Rhiners.

Speaker 5 (00:52):
We've known them for many, many years, and we were
supposed to be seeing them that night last night, and
we got the news. And let me just say this,
unlike some people, Rob and Michelle Reiner are some of
the most decent, courageous people you ever want.

Speaker 3 (01:12):
Hollywood has been in mourning for the past few days
after the acclaimed director and his wife were found dead
in their Los Angeles home and an incident that police
are treating as a homicide a double homicide. Their son,
Nick has been charged with two counts of first degree murder.
This is Ellie County DA Nathan Hockman.

Speaker 6 (01:29):
Today, I'm here to announce that our office will be
filing charges against Nick Reiner was accused of killing his parents,
actor director Rob Reiner and photographer producer Michelle Singer Reiner.
These charges will be two counts of first degree murder
with a special circumstance of multiple murders. He also fasts

(01:51):
a special allegation that he personally used a dangerous and
deadly weapon, that being a knife. These charges carry a
maximum sentence.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
It's kind of wild because life in prison it's like
something in a movie, you know.

Speaker 6 (02:07):
I know, decision at this point has been made with
respect the death penalty.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
They have the death penalty in California. I don't think
they have the death penalty, And to me, it's like
something out of a movie, you know, where you're the
kid of a famous actor actress, you know.

Speaker 6 (02:22):
What I mean?

Speaker 2 (02:22):
Does this documentary? I feel like that's the story.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
It's funny because I look at this story and then
I think about it like a week or so ago.
The Michigan Coach, the Sharon Moore. That's another one that could.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
Be a movie, which I have something on that in
a second. But I do want to say since the Murderers,
some of Rob Reiner's closest friends and collaborators, I mean,
the likes of Billy Crystal and Larry David, Albert Brooks,
Martin Short came all came together to release a joint
statement remembering him and Michelle. They describe Rob as a
masterful storyteller whose work spanned comedy, drama, documentary, and more.

(02:55):
He really brought out the best of the actors and
writers that he worked with, and they remember Michelle as
his equal partner in creativity and advocacy, a force for
positive change in both art and her community.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
I want to know what the argument was that Nick
had with Bill Hayter.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
The I know that I.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
Don't know what the argument was that he had with
his dad. He interrupted Bill Hayter and Bill Hayter said,
please walk away. I'm having a private conversation.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (03:22):
Yeah, And I don't know why he interrupted him or
you know what.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
That's what the context was there.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
But earlier in the night he had already had some
sort of altercation. So the way that the timeline I
think worked was that he had the confrontation with his dad,
that Rob Reiner and his wife were embarrassed and they
left and left Nick at the party. And I believe
I could be wrong by this, but I believe from
everything I've read, that's when the altercation then happened with

(03:49):
Bill Hayter.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
I wonder, and then Nick left.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
Conan will come out and speak too, because it was
at his party that is out.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
All the first initial arguments happened. Wow.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
Former University of Michigan had football codes. Jim Harbaugh on ESPN,
commenting on this, sharone more mess.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
I have texted him nothing, nothing since he was arrested,
just text oh you have yeah, how are his spirits?

Speaker 1 (04:19):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (04:20):
I think I think there's.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
It's a trategy.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
What uh the worst days of his life and uh,
you keep it together and and uh and take care
of your family. That's that's the message.

Speaker 5 (04:34):
And I getting spiritual guidance.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
Uh, you know it is really critical. Are you helping
Michigan at all find their head coach? No, I'm not.

Speaker 6 (04:46):
All focuses on Uh the Dallas Cowboys.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Ward Manual, by the way, hated harbat So he's not
helping at all. But if Ward Manual gets let go,
which a lot of people think should happen, they should
make the Harbaugh family as part of the search for
the next head coach of this team. You know, they
should bring me why they Papa Harbor because they are
a part such a big part of Michigan lore, you know,

(05:14):
and I think that they are a great family. I
think the Ward Manual did not like that Jim Harbaugh
had so much power that he had, and I think
that there was a lot of bitterness there.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
It would be a good pr move. I mean, I
still think they should hire John Harbaugh.

Speaker 3 (05:29):
But yesterday, in her first podcast, following a four and
a half hour conversation with Erica Kirk, conservative comment or
Candice Owens said she still doesn't believe that the person
charged with murder for Charlie Kirk's death is solely responsible.
Erica Kirk's efforts to quiet the rumor mill about her

(05:49):
husband's murder have not changed Candace's mind. She still believes
Israel had something to do with Charlie Kirk's death. Actually,
she says France Israel in Egypt, promoting a theory that
some of her critics is evidence that she is boosting
anti Semitism. She also said Charlie Kirk was betrayed by
people close to him and that the state and federal
law enforcement are covering up a bigger crime in relation

(06:11):
to this. I have not listened to her podcast from
yesterday yet, but I do understand that Erica came fully
prepared to debunk all of the claims that Candace has
been you know, talking about over the past couple of weeks.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
But.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
A fillion when I do listen, Tascan has put forward
any proof City's claims because she's been talking for a while,
but we ain't seen no receipts.

Speaker 4 (06:35):
Really, she's shown a lot of screenshots. Oh and she's
proven his producer to be lying. So watched and listen
to her podcast.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
Now, I know you up on it for show, but
I'm talking about, like, did you listen to any of screens?

Speaker 4 (06:50):
Are things that she showed Erica Kirk that Erica had
no idea.

Speaker 3 (06:53):
Of really yep, all right, I'm gonna pull some of it.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
That's interesting to me.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
And lastly, I think Mari Povidi was part of all
of our childhoods. Yes, I love he's retired now, well
you are the fut he might be coming back. He
was on the Sherry Shepherd Show kind of right, but
you were talking about this. I've even put this out
right on social media.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
I would come out of retirement.

Speaker 3 (07:19):
If I could get Nicki okay, Nicki Minaj and Cardi B.

Speaker 6 (07:24):
Cardi B settle their differences with a lot of detector tests.

Speaker 3 (07:30):
That would be crazy.

Speaker 6 (07:32):
How About how about if Drake and Kendrick.

Speaker 3 (07:37):
So you would come, he would come out of retirement
to settle some repee. Miss anything from today's show, Ketch
