Talked to earlier in the show about how Lebron James
going to be sidelined for the next three to four
weeks due to sciatica in his right side. He also
made the Dirty earlier this week for this big announcement.
This second decision, which turned out to be an ad
for Hennessy essentially, well, he's now getting sued because of that.
Speaker 5 (01:09):
This morning, Lebron James is being sued by one of
his own fans. On Monday, the four time NBA champ
hosting this video, teasing a major announcement the following day,
Lebron captioning it the Second Decision. The video a reference
to the infamous twenty ten television special titled The Decision.
At the time, James announcing he would be leaving his
(01:30):
hometown Cleveland Cavaliers and.
Speaker 4 (01:32):
This fam will take Montalness to South Beach.
Speaker 5 (01:35):
The new video leading to speculation that the forty year
old Laker superstar would be using Tuesday's Second Decision to
announce his retirement. Fans quickly buying up tickets for the
final Lakers home games of the upcoming season, the surgeon sales,
driving up prices hundreds of dollars. One lifelong fan scooping
up a pair of late season tickets just minutes after
(01:56):
the teaser was posted. But then came the big announcement.
Speaker 4 (02:00):
Taking my talents to hennessyvs.
Speaker 6 (02:02):
Hope You.
Speaker 5 (02:03):
Lebron's announcement actually a sponsored video for an alcohol brand
that left many fans feeling misled.
Speaker 4 (02:10):
If you play like garbage at any point in time
when it really really counts.
Speaker 7 (02:14):
I'm going to think about the Hennessy commercial on Wonder
if you was drinking something for the game.
Speaker 5 (02:17):
Now that Lakers fan has filed a suit in Small
Claims court for fraud and deception, saying James owes him
eight hundred and fifty six dollars and sixty six cents.
That fan saying that's how much he spent on the
pair of tickets he bought when he thought James was
going to retire. Those tickets now worth a fraction of
what he paid. The fans saying I wouldn't have purchased
it if he wasn't going to retire. Lain and simple.
Speaker 4 (02:40):
James has not commented on.
Speaker 5 (02:42):
The suit, but earlier this week Lakers coach JJ Reddick
with this message for those who thought a retirement announcement
was coming.
Speaker 3 (02:49):
Yes, anybody text you, we all know this happen right.
Speaker 4 (02:55):
Interesting, suit's got no legs.
Speaker 2 (02:56):
That's crazy. I you know what. I love that.
Speaker 4 (02:59):
Guys thought it's funny. No, yeah, I mean you.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
Think about that. A lot of people thought, Okay, he's retiring,
I'll buy those tickets. But Lebron Lebron. I like stephen
A's saying too, you just mad. Huh why him and
Lebron have an interesting relationship. Yeah, you think get in
a fight on the sidelines because he criticized Lebron for
being a dog.
Speaker 7 (03:18):
Well, he criticized Lebron for being a father that, by
his choices of being a father reflected negatively on his son.
Speaker 4 (03:26):
Yeah, and that's what Lebron didn't like.
Speaker 3 (03:28):
So No Doubt is set to headline the Las Vegas
Sphere and a residency of six shows for me to
do in the next year.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
Yeah, and people really want to go see No Doubt.
Speaker 4 (03:38):
Well, it's only six shows.
Speaker 3 (03:39):
I think they do have a lot of you know,
they've only performed together twice in the last I mean
a couple of they did Coachella and then they did
a benefit concert in LA earlier this year.
Speaker 4 (03:48):
But six shows.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
And she also this is record setting because she now
becomes the first woman to headline this fear since its opening.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
I saw a clip on Instagram that Zach Ryan our
Zach Brown Band is going to be doing also the Sphere,
and they were doing an interview and I can't remember
who the influencer was or the who the podcaster was,
and they were talking about how it's such an amazing
place to play and why you want to play there.
Speaker 4 (04:15):
Because boring, you am I boring?
Speaker 2 (04:18):
I'm okay, I apologize you, snor.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
No.
Speaker 2 (04:22):
But he was talking about how it's amazing because you
go there and basically you just bring your equipment. You're amusing,
you know, and you don't have to worry about lights or
anything because it's such an amazing facility. And the Dolans,
he gave shout out to the Dolan family owns the
New York Knicks and they own Madison Square Garden because
they said, if you could put the sphere in other
places something like that, which I know would probably be
(04:43):
so expensive to do that every artist would want to
just play those places.
Speaker 4 (04:48):
So be cool.
Speaker 3 (04:50):
James in New York's Attorney General, was federally indicted yesterday
in Virginia on bank fraud and full statements charges. This
indictment of Lione Ud is that she misrepresented a Virginia
property as a secondary residence in her mortgage application, when
in fact she actually used it as a rental and
investment property.
Speaker 4 (05:09):
It's a big no note, you can't do that.
Speaker 3 (05:10):
She's denied the accusations, calling this indictment politically motivated and
tied to her past legal actions against President Donald Trump.
Speaker 8 (05:17):
This is nothing more than a continuation of the President's
desperate weaponization of our justice system. He is forcing federal
law enforcement agencies to do his bidding, all because I
did my job as the New York State Attorney General.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
And lastly, it is officially Haunted House season. A big
note for me, But I know Arabis, famous in the
Detroit area, famous haunted House in the Detroit area, already
in fla on scare mode.
Speaker 6 (05:51):
Well, it's getting to be that time when people stand
in line and pay to be frightened by trained actors
and makeup.
Speaker 3 (05:59):
It's fine to be ugly and scary and bloody.
Speaker 6 (06:03):
But before these thespians at the Arabus Haunted House and Pontiac,
Michigan can become ugly, scary and bloody, first, they must
train it what they call scare school. We just teach
them how to scare safely, how to have fun while
you're scaring, and how to the psychology of a scare.
It appears there are many disciplines to master when it
(06:24):
comes to this scarriculum. You've got to learn your terrifying screams,
you're desperate cries for help.
Speaker 1 (06:35):
Andrew, Creepy is basically a job that you get to
see a different side of yourself that you didn't think
you would see.
Speaker 6 (06:47):
But once they graduate, there is a metric to grade
their success, and it's not too far from the way
they power the city with screams and monsters, inc How
scared new people get. You know what, we don't really
count the tally number of how many people are going through.
What we do count some people that don't make it through.
Oh yes, as you can see here, the Haunted House
(07:07):
keeps say tally on how many quote unquote whims have
to exit prematurely. And they even keep a total of
their wedders, fainters and the viewers.
Speaker 1 (07:19):
All around.
Speaker 6 (07:21):
And you know what, I've tried to do the whole
zombie makeup scaring thing, and they mostly just laughed at me.
Clearly I did not go to scare school back, guys,
The Hated House says, last year they officially surpassed ten
thousand whims for the past twenty five years they've been open.
We just wait till I visit.
Speaker 4 (07:38):
Wow, have you guys ever gone through eravents successfully.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
It's honestly, it's great.
Speaker 4 (07:43):
It's very very good. One time in high school it
was yeah, I got left in there by my ex
boyfriend left. Yeah, he was gone.
Speaker 2 (07:51):
It's multiple levels, which is, you know, fun for a
fat guy. But but it is really good and it's legit,
and to be quite honest with you, the scariest part
of the whole thing too is parking and walking over
to it. But it is no it's no bs. If
you're listening anywhere around the area or around the world,
(08:13):
it's worth coming here and trying this arabisaunt an house.
Speaker 7 (08:16):
Is there one hunting house experience in particular that made
you say I'll never go back or did you just
swear off of them?
Speaker 3 (08:21):
When I was little, my step grandma and grandpa lived
in mary And, Indiana, and they took us to a
haunted house in their church basement, which I know sounds
so like crappy and stupid, but a guy chased us
out to the car with a chainsaw and that was
it for me. Yeah, I was like, never ever, ever again.
Speaker 4 (08:41):
Will I do this? Those chainsaw people are Yeah, I
don't like that.
Speaker 3 (08:44):
I mean, I got myself through Eloise was.
Speaker 4 (08:46):
It last year? Yeah, that was That's amazing. But I mean,
I'll be real it eyes pretty much the whole time.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
If you ever have it, if you ever have a
chance to go down to Universal Studios. Universal Studios does
their Halloween horror nights amazing.
Speaker 3 (08:59):
