Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's a mojo in the morning show. This is wild.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
You've heard of people that will use technology as a
form of breaking up and then you always kind of
give them crap or they text their breakup. Has anybody
ever heard of it as a form of getting together
where somebody would do something as crazy as FaceTime their
marriage proposal. That happened with Lydia and your cousin.

Speaker 3 (00:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (00:27):
So I was scrolling Facebook yesterday and I saw that
my cousin from Syria posted and announced that she was engaged.
So I was really happy for her, and I'm looking
through the photos and I'm like, where's the guy. If
you scroll all the way to the end, you see
that he's on FaceTime at their engagement and their blessing
of the rings. So she lives in Syria, he lives

(00:49):
in California, and he couldn't be there because I'm guessing
she's going to move to the States now that she's
engaged to him and they're engaged.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
But they've never met before.

Speaker 5 (00:57):
Wow, wait, they've never met before?

Speaker 1 (01:00):
Nope, So is this an arranged marriage thing?

Speaker 6 (01:03):
No?

Speaker 3 (01:03):
I don't think so.

Speaker 4 (01:04):
I saw that she might have met him through somebody,
but they probably fell in love from talking for so long.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
So they've been a long distance in just doing the
kind of thing that people do here in the States
where they start talking NonStop to each other, but then
took it to the level of engagement.

Speaker 7 (01:21):
Then.

Speaker 4 (01:21):
Yeah, Like if you look at the pictures, Bojo, you
can see that there's like the priests around.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
They all dressed up.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
Yeah, we had a whole party.

Speaker 8 (01:29):
I'm okay, So I'm looking at the pictures now. First off,
she's beautiful, but I love that she is. She's got
a ring on, she's holding the phone showing up.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
She is gorgeous. She looked like prices.

Speaker 8 (01:43):
Wait, everybody in the family is like dressed up like
a wedding, like it is a wedding.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
Oh yeah, that's how we do engagements.

Speaker 5 (01:50):
Holy cow.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
So wait, so stop for one second because this is
just kind of interesting. Did she not do the engagement
face to face in person in California where your cousin's
where everybody lives, because she didn't want him go to
California until she had an engagement set.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
No, I don't think she can.

Speaker 4 (02:10):
Yeah, I think you're waiting for the citizenship process, and
I think that's why they started being engaged to do
it really, so they've literally never met.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
By the way, you got some hot is ninety day
fiance going to Syria anytime soon for Kevin?

Speaker 1 (02:24):
Maybe? Kevin, you see this girl? I'm telling I need
a kal dean man.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
Oh no, she's Syrians?

Speaker 1 (02:30):
Syrian?

Speaker 2 (02:31):
What what is the uh? Tell me about the Syrian
part of yours? Is that mom or dad's side?

Speaker 3 (02:38):
My mom's side?

Speaker 1 (02:39):
Okay, yeah, all right.

Speaker 8 (02:42):
I truly have never heard of anybody getting engaged over FaceTime.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
That's indeed, that is pretty wild.

Speaker 4 (02:48):
I think making a commitment as big as marriage without
fully knowing the person is a big deal. But I
think maybe she just really wants to get married and
he's cute, he's a good looking guy.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
Interesting, and oh man, this is wild. So this so
hasn't this happened to anybody? And I was saying in
real life? And here has this happened anybody?

Speaker 1 (03:09):
Here? Uh? In the States like where you have.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
Or in you know, Michigan, Ohio, where you FaceTime proposed,
Because if you FaceTime proposed to an American girl, she'd.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
Be like, you big cheap son of a bitch.

Speaker 9 (03:24):
You know, I have to meet the person at least
one time, because you can be I feel like you
can be a completely different person if all you do
is talk on the phone or face on. But once
you see that person in real life.

Speaker 5 (03:36):
An experience or real life ends together for sure.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
Eight four four Mojoe Live eight four four six six
five six five four eight. I would love and how
often you talk to your cousin?

Speaker 1 (03:48):
Not much?

Speaker 2 (03:49):
Because I would I would love to hear hear more
stories about how they matt and did they meet on
uh on, you know, Syrian Mingle dot com or something.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
I guarantee your probably cousins.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
Wait, how do you know that? I don't know a joke?

Speaker 3 (04:05):
Or Syrians do marry their cousins?

Speaker 1 (04:08):
Do they do that too?

Speaker 9 (04:09):
Like Kelbean's Yeah, would they get married over FaceTime or
would that be in person?

Speaker 8 (04:14):
Well, she's moving to the States, so I'm assuming that
before the wedding.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
Hopefully she's in the States by the time they get married.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Do you kiss each other on FaceTime?

Speaker 6 (04:24):
Like?

Speaker 1 (04:24):
Do you kiss your screen or how does that work?

Speaker 5 (04:27):
I kiss my screen before.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
You've kissed your screen before? Yeah?

Speaker 5 (04:31):
Oh you you have sure have done it.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
I've never kissed my screens of stuff.

Speaker 5 (04:36):
I'm not going to lie to Yeah, I'm not going there.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
I have never in my life ever kissed the screen.
I would kiss. I have kissed a magazine before when
I was a little kid.

Speaker 8 (04:47):
You've never kissed the screen if it was like your
kids when they were little or something.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
Again, from a distance, I'm not kissing his screen.

Speaker 5 (04:54):
You never kissed a picture of Chell's. Have you missed
her so much? On your phone?

Speaker 1 (04:57):
No?

Speaker 5 (04:58):
You lie so bad?

Speaker 1 (05:00):
What kind of enjoyment am I going to get?

Speaker 8 (05:01):
First off, she's like like, what's this gone this week?

Speaker 10 (05:04):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (05:04):
Here's this picture? I'm like, I miss you.

Speaker 9 (05:06):
No, you've never done that, never on face off with
you else you'd never say all right, goodbye and both
y'all kiss the same time.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
I kissed from a distance, Like so she can see
my lips. I'm not kissing the screen. You gotta get
on clothes. Like what else you guys doing your screens? Huh, yeah,
I've done something.

Speaker 5 (05:20):
What I really don't know where you're talking it.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
You give your screen a little tongue. No, I mean,
like you know, you put it on the screen.

Speaker 10 (05:26):
Your balls palls on your phone, you have your privates
to the screen, you top it on the case, doesn't
everyone do.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
This, Samantha, Please? What's going on, Samantha.

Speaker 11 (05:44):
My dad proposed to my mom over the phone when
she was in Tennessee and she was in Michigan. This
was like thirty something years ago. But she's like, you
are not proposing to me over the phone. You better
come back to Michigan and do it face to face.

Speaker 5 (05:59):
Absolutely.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
Was he like in the military or something.

Speaker 11 (06:03):
No, he was down visiting his family and just that's
just his character. He's he just moves at snail speed
and she's like, no, you come to it face to face,
don't be lazy.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
Interesting that well, that is kind of, you know, an
interesting one when you're in the military for some reason
or in this case obviously with yeah, there is no
excuse in that case getting get in your car or
an airplane.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
What's up, Taylor?

Speaker 7 (06:30):
Yeah? How are you doing?

Speaker 2 (06:32):
We're doing good, Taylor. Have you ever put your balls
up to your your phone? Kevin has By the way,
I'll never touch Kevin's phone ever.

Speaker 8 (06:43):
Again, what I really can't look at you now, That's
all I picture in my head is.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
What's going on? Taylor?

Speaker 7 (06:53):
I was just calling to comment on what you guys
were just talking about about the engagement. I'm actually married
to a woman in Africa, in Cameroon, and we got
engaged before I went over there as well, and I
flew over there though afterwards. I went over there twice
last year over into Africa.

Speaker 5 (07:14):
So can I ask you a question?

Speaker 8 (07:15):
Why would you not just wait until you went over
that first time to propose in person?

Speaker 5 (07:19):
Why did it have to be over FaceTime?

Speaker 7 (07:24):
I guess it didn't have to be, But the more
I learned about it, it has to do with the
immigration and stuff like that. You know, marriage visa's takes
almost twice as long as a fiance visa apparently, which
is it doesn't make any sense. But yeah, but that's
the reasoning from what I heard from a lot of

(07:45):
other people. Me, I was just ready to lock it
down and let her know I was serious.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
How'd you meet her?

Speaker 7 (07:53):
I actually met her through her aunt. I was doing
uber and her aunt didn't know how to drive, so
I taught her to drive and she introduced me because
she thought I was a nice man, and I started
talking to her news for about two years prior to
going over there.

Speaker 8 (08:10):
Woh no, wait, I don't know if I missed you
saying this, does she live here now?

Speaker 7 (08:14):
No, I'm still in the process of getting my wife here.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
Okay, when you guys talk, do you kiss your screen
like Shannon was saying that she does sometimes.

Speaker 7 (08:24):
No, But if you've ever seen those little fake lips
on Teamboo, I told my wife I was going to
send her boat. Yeah, they'll kiss you back, like when
you kiss the lips, they'll kiss you back. But no,
we don't kiss the screen.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
That's dirty.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
That's great, man, great, great, Sorry, David got engaged over
the phone, Is.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
That right, David?

Speaker 6 (08:45):
Yeah, Yeah, that's true.

Speaker 12 (08:48):
You know, first time call, a long time listening.

Speaker 1 (08:51):
David on the phone. What's going on, buddy?

Speaker 12 (08:54):
Yeah, you know, a few.

Speaker 6 (08:56):
Years a few years, a few years ago, I actually
call their dad to get permission, and her dad gave it,
like the approval, and so, you know, shortly after, you know,
she was out with her mom and her mom came home,
came fung her home real quick, and shortly after you know,
we got engaged in the phone. We had a whole party,
you know, here locally, and then also she had a

(09:18):
whole party over there.

Speaker 7 (09:19):
For her and her friends.

Speaker 5 (09:20):
Where's over there?

Speaker 12 (09:22):
Over there?

Speaker 13 (09:23):
Being the UAE, the UE, the European Union, what's United Emirates.

Speaker 12 (09:35):
So i've you know, we've met each other way back when,
so back in like twenty fourteen, and so we were
a long distance for some time. Every once in a while,
she'd come back to the state, she had family over here,
and so yeah, it was you know, it was a
long time coming. I guess, you know, we were a
long distance for some time, and her her dad kind

(09:55):
of knew, you know, like hey, like either you like
do something now about it, or like, you know, just
leave it, you know. So yeah, now now he's here.
Now he's here, and we have.

Speaker 7 (10:06):
A kid, and.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
What happens if they get here and you're like, eh,
I'm not into this, you know what I mean?

Speaker 12 (10:15):
Oh, you know that's you know, that's always a possibility.
But you know, thankfully, you know we've we had our
one on ones before and okay, you know we were
a long distance for some time, and you know, there's
a lot of video calls and you know that led
up to that point. And in regarding kissing on the phone, dude,
a little bit more than kissing, but oh, really, are

(10:35):
you telling me that you've touched your privates?

Speaker 1 (10:37):
While talking on FaceTime.

Speaker 12 (10:40):
No, come on, come on, Mojoe, come on, no way.

Speaker 1 (10:43):
Now, you're a liar. You have.

Speaker 2 (10:49):
All right, Thank you for the call, buddy. Hold on,
Mike wants to say something to Kevin. What'd you want
to say to Kevin?

Speaker 12 (10:55):
Hey, Keravin, So you kissed the phone after you put
your balls on it?

Speaker 10 (10:58):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (10:59):
No, okay?

Speaker 7 (11:03):
Kevin on radio?

Speaker 10 (11:07):
Yeah, I thought you knew better than that.

Speaker 7 (11:12):
Kevin.

Speaker 1 (11:12):
That's crazy.
