Speaker 5 (00:25):
Me take you back to the beginning.
Speaker 4 (00:27):
Alrighty ready, you're listening to Mojo in the Morning.
Speaker 6 (00:31):
You're a do ahead. It's Mojo in the Morning.
Speaker 7 (00:38):
I understand it was your mom's birthday, which Happy birthday
to your mom. But it was her birthday not that
long ago, Sunday the ninth. But you took her out
yesterday for her birthday meal. And where did you guys go?
Red Lobster. That's my mom's favorite restaurant. She's loving. It's changed.
They got a young ceo.
Speaker 8 (00:57):
Remember they were on bankrupt because they did like that
by a type of thing. Yeah, but in fact, guys
all there and it was speaking of people who ate there.
It was Veterans Day yesterday, and like Shannon mentioned, there
were a ton of places that acknowledge, you know, the
many men and women that serve our country. And Red
Lobster was giving out free lunches. I've never seen it.
(01:17):
That pack was, Oh my god, it was flooded. Every booth.
Speaker 7 (01:20):
When you go out with your mom to Red Lobster,
do you tell her enjoy the entire meal or whatever whatever,
whatever the menu, I tell her, like, you know, open it. No,
my mom is like a creature of habit and I
think her thing is like the Admirals dish.
Speaker 6 (01:37):
I think that's what they call it. Admirals. Yeah, something
like this.
Speaker 8 (01:41):
It comes with Now she got krab ledge on the side,
but it comes with like fried shrimp. I think she
got corn a baked potato. The crabs eggs are on
the side, and I think salmon or something else.
Speaker 6 (01:51):
It was a big ass little platter though.
Speaker 8 (01:52):
Did she wear a bib She didn't, but she took
her nakine.
Speaker 6 (01:56):
She didn't do the little naw.
Speaker 7 (01:58):
My favorite is all you can eat crab legs and
you wear the beb and you sit there and you're like,
you got greasy hands.
Speaker 6 (02:04):
And stuff like that. It's good you.
Speaker 8 (02:06):
Dip them in butter. I'm I soak it in butter them.
I don't like butter on my crab legs. A taste, yeah,
it tastes like nothing. I don't think so, I don't.
The butter just seemed like too much to me.
Speaker 6 (02:18):
I don't know.
Speaker 8 (02:19):
You never been to Red Lobster, What you've never had biscuits.
Speaker 9 (02:25):
I've never been to Red Lobster. I've had the cheddar
biscuits only because Mojo. Remember, like ten years ago, we
had an intern who worked at Red Lobster and she
had heard that I had never been there until she
brought them in and they.
Speaker 4 (02:35):
Were very good. But they weren't frot. You got to
get they weren't warm.
Speaker 7 (02:39):
You gotta break your your Red Lobster virginity. You gotta
yeah bust that thing that chir yeah.
Speaker 6 (02:49):
How so tell me about mom.
Speaker 10 (02:51):
It was.
Speaker 6 (02:52):
My mom is at.
Speaker 8 (02:53):
Times she can be very I don't want to use
the word impatient, but this was kind of those impatient moments.
And she's just a I'll do it myself type of person.
So we finished this huge meal. The service was great.
It was a young lady named Felicia that was our
waitress at the time. My mom is drinking strawberry lemonades
down in them boys, tell Felicia's her birthday. She brings
out a beautiful Sunday two cherries on top, chocolate noose
(03:16):
drizzled all about.
Speaker 6 (03:17):
It was delicious.
Speaker 8 (03:18):
We finished that and my mom starts doing the look
around thing because she ready to go, like, look around like,
where the hell is my waitress? She got her neck
on rubber ban mole, like, where's going on? And of
course it's super busy because it's Veterans Day. And I
don't know if they staffed properly because I saw way
more people than I saw waitresses or waiters that were
allocated to these people. So finally my mom is like,
(03:38):
all right, I'm not about to keep waiting.
Speaker 6 (03:40):
She gets up. They got like two different kitchen areas.
Speaker 8 (03:43):
They got the kitchen area where they cook, then they
got the other area where the waitresses are going to
get drinks, Extra place, extra cubs ringing people up. She
decides to go in there, look around. This wasn't like
a quick thing, like I see the cubs, let me
go grab it.
Speaker 6 (03:56):
She looking around. She opened up a cabinet. I'm looking.
Then I started looking at her. Anybody else see what's
going on? She finds like to go cups. She brings
out three lids. For some reason, you have to go
to like a drawer for the lids. I guess they
were right next, they were right up there.
Speaker 11 (04:16):
One.
Speaker 6 (04:17):
I'm looking like, bro, what do you need three lids
for it?
Speaker 8 (04:19):
She poured up her drink It's like one of those
things where you don't say anything, You're just.
Speaker 6 (04:21):
Watching them do it. It's so loud. I hear the
ice like clean clicklick all in the and I'm like,
she's like you ready to go? Nobody stopped.
Speaker 4 (04:30):
We haven't paid yet.
Speaker 8 (04:31):
We did, pa, That's the craziest thing.
Speaker 4 (04:35):
Okay, I don't think we paid.
Speaker 7 (04:36):
I've been at restaurants before, and you know the restaurants
that wrap up the silverware in like a napkin, and
and you all of a sudden, you like you lose
a forker. I feel weird going to the next table
and grabbing it off the made table. Really, I've never
gotten up and gone in the kitchen and started serving myself.
Speaker 8 (04:53):
If you are at a table at a restaurant that
has like ketchup mustard and yours is empty, do you.
Speaker 6 (04:59):
Go to the night I got yelled at.
Speaker 7 (05:01):
But I got yelled at at a Coney Island one
time for getting up and going and grabbing it off
the table because I was messing up their thing. I
should have I should have told them it was empty
so they can go fill it up. That's what they
wanted to do.
Speaker 12 (05:12):
I'll tell you it's empty, so you can fill it
up and I'll go again.
Speaker 7 (05:15):
And I talked about this on the air. I got
yelled at for taking off of another table the forks
and knives because they said I was screwing up their
place settings. Your mom goes in and just make I've
always wanted to just go into the McDonald's back behind
the counter there and just you know, go fill up
my full fat coke.
Speaker 6 (05:32):
You know, I'm not messing with McDonald's.
Speaker 7 (05:33):
They have it now. It's a robotic thing, isn't it.
McDonald's ones. It's a robotic fill up like when.
Speaker 6 (05:38):
You do it. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (05:40):
They just pushed the button.
Speaker 6 (05:41):
Yeah, it's like.
Speaker 8 (05:41):
AI yelling your with the cup in her your mom.
Speaker 6 (05:46):
By the way, did you tip her mom your service?
That was that beautiful?
Speaker 7 (05:54):
Sunday eight four Mojo Live eight four four six six
five six five four eight Uh.
Speaker 6 (05:59):
Jordi brings up an interesting one.
Speaker 7 (06:01):
Red Lobster Biscuits or Texas Roadhouse rolls.
Speaker 6 (06:05):
Which one's better?
Speaker 8 (06:06):
But we've only been to Roadhouse maybe once or twice
in my life. I'm going to Texas Roadhouse, but you
haven't been.
Speaker 4 (06:13):
To Red last true true.
Speaker 9 (06:15):
But I like I like the sweet over savory, So
I'm probably going to pick Texas Roadhouse anyway.
Speaker 7 (06:19):
All Right, the listeners gotta tell us which who's got
the better bread? Uh eight four Tour Mojoe Live or
taxt nine five five zero zero?
Speaker 8 (06:25):
Are we throwing in a sneaky option like that, Nicol? Yes,
with the fresh butter.
Speaker 4 (06:32):
From cheesecake factory.
Speaker 12 (06:33):
My god, you can.
Speaker 7 (06:36):
You can throw out anything you want to. We don't
discriminate against bread. What's up, Nikki? How you doing that bad?
Speaker 6 (06:42):
How do you guys doing this morning? We're good? What's up?
So the Cheddarbay biscuits?
Speaker 13 (06:48):
You can buy the mix at the store now and
make them at home yourself.
Speaker 6 (06:52):
Who wants to do that?
Speaker 14 (06:53):
Then?
Speaker 13 (06:54):
I brushed the little garlic butter on them when they
come out?
Speaker 6 (06:56):
Is it the same? It's never the same when you
wait exactly. I'm sorry.
Speaker 7 (07:02):
They said the chee cheese salsa was the same as
the store, and it wasn't. They put that place out
of business. I don't like that I have to make anything.
Speaker 13 (07:10):
You can buy them frozen too, but they're not good.
Speaker 7 (07:12):
The only thing just as good or even better is Wallburgers. Wallburgers.
Is you get Wallburgers at the store. Actually, I kind
of like it better than going to Wallburgers. Their meats better.
Speaker 15 (07:22):
I've never had.
Speaker 16 (07:23):
We don't have that around here.
Speaker 6 (07:24):
If you go into what did you have it? Where
are you at?
Speaker 7 (07:27):
I'm just out of Toledo and Kroger? You going to Kroger?
They sell Wallburger's meats and stuff like that.
Speaker 13 (07:34):
Okay, good Tall, I absolutely will.
Speaker 7 (07:37):
Hey which one's better, Red Lobster biscuits or Texas Roadhouse rolls?
Speaker 13 (07:44):
Oh god, Now you're trying to make me choose between
my children who was the favor Yeah, I can't tell.
Speaker 17 (07:53):
I can't tell.
Speaker 6 (07:53):
No, I'm going bage biscuits. Yeah, there you go. It's
so good. Have a great morning, Nikki.
Speaker 16 (08:01):
You two guys love you.
Speaker 6 (08:02):
We love you too. What's up, Dennis? How you doing?
Good morning, h Dennis. I love the Texas Roadhouse rolls
with that butter. Oh my gosh, I will lick that
little cup clean. Whoa.
Speaker 7 (08:16):
There is something about butter, the butter and restaurants is
you know my favorite butter in restaurants is those little
gold packs that they have at some restaurants.
Speaker 6 (08:26):
You know what I'm talking about. They do a lot
of it. I love those things.
Speaker 9 (08:29):
I went to like a sports banquet for my stepdaughter
last night, and they had those and I was just
I probably used three of them on one roll.
Speaker 7 (08:38):
Chelsea gets mad at me because I will pock pocket
those and those mints the green Uh.
Speaker 6 (08:45):
What's up, Megan? How you doing.
Speaker 17 (08:48):
Good?
Speaker 7 (08:49):
Which one is better? Roadhouse or reds? I'm trying to
come up with the title for the podcast I can't
make fit happy?
Speaker 6 (09:03):
Yeah? What do you there?
Speaker 18 (09:06):
For her birthday last month?
Speaker 19 (09:08):
And that's the only place she ever wants to go
for her birthday.
Speaker 7 (09:11):
So Cav's mom and your mom they should hang out
with each other day. It's a mom thing. I think
moms love it. What's going on, Rob? How you doing?
Speaker 17 (09:19):
Not too bad?
Speaker 6 (09:20):
Yourself? Good?
Speaker 20 (09:21):
Rob?
Speaker 6 (09:21):
What you want you voting for? Actually?
Speaker 21 (09:25):
Neither cracker burrel, sour dough bread?
Speaker 2 (09:27):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (09:29):
Had that?
Speaker 6 (09:29):
I love sour dough, the soy, the loaf. If you
all are interested, that's good.
Speaker 7 (09:34):
Sour dough is for some reason. There ain't nothing wrong
with sour dough, Brud. What's out, bethany How you doing?
Speaker 22 (09:40):
How are you guys?
Speaker 6 (09:41):
What's happening?
Speaker 23 (09:43):
Oh?
Speaker 24 (09:43):
Not much?
Speaker 17 (09:44):
Is driving to work?
Speaker 6 (09:45):
And what are you voting for? This early morning?
Speaker 3 (09:48):
Chattermade nice.
Speaker 6 (09:51):
I love it just right, and you have to.
Speaker 3 (09:55):
Go and get them fresh. They're amazing.
Speaker 7 (09:57):
I mean, if Shannon went to rec Lobster, honestly, I
think that's the only thing she would like there.
Speaker 6 (10:02):
I don't think anything else.
Speaker 9 (10:04):
I love cred legs. You do, Oh my god? I
love crab legs.
Speaker 6 (10:07):
All right, then let's do a crab legs night. They
got these seafood boil bags now too. We do this crazy.
Speaker 7 (10:12):
We do this thing as a show where we go,
let's go out and celebrate our ratings or celebrate you know,
the holidays, and we pick like a nice restaurant and
we walk out of there like broke.
Speaker 6 (10:22):
Let's go to a red Lobster. You know what I mean.
I mean, I'm done for lobsters.
Speaker 4 (10:27):
Is it expensive?
Speaker 8 (10:29):
That seafood boiled bread bag was probably like forty five dollars?
Speaker 6 (10:32):
Oh yeah, Okay.
Speaker 12 (10:34):
If it's that much, Let's let's go to like Harbor
House or something.
Speaker 8 (10:37):
I've never been there either, though people talk crazy about
Harbor Say.
Speaker 12 (10:40):
Is delicious Detroit.
Speaker 7 (10:42):
My favorite ever is uh is going to a restaurant
walking in and having people look and go.
Speaker 6 (10:47):
Is that the mojo in the morning?
Speaker 11 (10:49):
Like you know what I mean?
Speaker 7 (10:50):
Like, can you imagine if we all walked in and
just center the Red Lobster during the primest of time.
Speaker 6 (10:55):
I think that would be fun. I love we can
film like.
Speaker 7 (10:57):
A like a vila, a black bang.
Speaker 4 (11:01):
I read a red blog.
Speaker 6 (11:02):
Is that what happened?
Speaker 4 (11:03):
They're red.
Speaker 7 (11:04):
We're gonna muck bang like Antais said at Red Lobster.
Uh now they'll never invite us. All right, we'll be
right back.
Speaker 25 (11:11):
Just Mojo in the mornings back in the day, got
out back in the day.
Speaker 5 (11:15):
This stuff all.
Speaker 7 (11:16):
Right, this is for tickets to see the Jonas brothers.
Jennifer Lopez wore her iconic green Versace dress show that dress.
Speaker 26 (11:23):
I thought it was beautiful though.
Speaker 4 (11:24):
It was incredible dress.
Speaker 27 (11:26):
When I came out and they were all shocked and appalled,
I knew that.
Speaker 4 (11:31):
Was the one.
Speaker 6 (11:33):
Gladiator was the big movie.
Speaker 2 (11:35):
Why are you not at the time?
Speaker 6 (11:37):
Why you're not at the time?
Speaker 7 (11:42):
This man jingle ball headliner Nelly had the big song.
Speaker 5 (11:48):
Who what a big brain you have? Tell us when
that stuff happened? Call us at eighty four four Mojo
Live to.
Speaker 11 (11:54):
Tell us eight four six eight?
Speaker 6 (11:58):

Speaker 7 (12:04):
Congratulations, we're setting you up with the prize. You got
Jonas Brothers tickets. Have the best time at jingle Ball.
We'll see you there. Nelly will be performing and we'll

as shine down and Big X the plug. So congratulations
to you, Thank you, have a great morning. Appreciate you
(12:26):
so much.
Speaker 6 (12:26):
Abby.
Speaker 7 (12:27):
We're gonna give away those tickets to go to Oh wait,
why did I say that? No, you got you got
Jonahs Brothers tickets. I have no idea why I just
told you something about jingle Ball. Hang on, Abby, you're
getting Jonas Brothers tickets unless you call back. And I
don't know if contest rules allow this, but ninety fifth
collar now eight four to four Mojoe Live win tickets
to go to jingle Ball.
Speaker 11 (12:47):
In the Morning's Dirty on the thirty.
Speaker 6 (12:49):
All right, what's trending in this hour's dirty?
Speaker 4 (12:51):
Shannon's already all right.
Speaker 9 (12:53):
So the longest government shut down in history could come
to an end today. House Speaker Mike Johnson instructed the
makers to get their butts back to Washington after keeping
the chamber out of session for more than fifty days.
Speaker 4 (13:06):
A vote will take place today.
Speaker 20 (13:09):
The House is going to vote, and I think they're
going to vote positively. I think most people want to
see it open.
Speaker 9 (13:15):
So everybody's still focused on the travel piece of this.
What does this mean for the situation that we're seeing
at airports nationwide? Well, it's not gonna get any better
anytime soon.
Speaker 4 (13:27):
Really.
Speaker 9 (13:27):
Airlines are going to need some time to adjust schedules
and staffing even after if the shutdown does indeed end today,
so we can expect, unfortunately, these flight delays and cancelations
to continue. I know this morning there are already upwards
of thirty cancelations at Detroit Metro Airport, So again, check
your flight before you head to DTW today.
Speaker 6 (13:48):
And I heard it was one of the regional Uh
it wasn't like.
Speaker 9 (13:52):
Yeah, it's like it's like Jet West or that's not right,
but it's like one of the Sky West.
Speaker 7 (13:57):
I think West is what it is, which is interesting
because it's a majority of them, like thirteen or fourteen
of them that are canceled, and on a given day.
It's weird because if you look at some of the
ways that they're canceling them, some people are saying that
their flights aren't getting canceled. They're just getting changed. And
you told me one time this and I never had
this happen. But people's flights times are being completely re routed.
Speaker 4 (14:19):
So safe for instance, it's happened to me.
Speaker 7 (14:21):
So save for instance that you were supposed to fly
out at like ten am the night before, people are
being told no, your flight's going to be now at
seven am. Yeah, and a lot of times people go
to bed with an alarm waking them up.
Speaker 9 (14:34):
I didn't see that until I checked in for my
flight over the summer. I am flying tomorrow. I already
got an email from Delta saying here's the deal, here's
what you can do. Now, here's what to do if
your flight gets canceled. They're giving lots of options, including
crediting you to your original form of payment instead of
giving you like an E credit, which I think is nice.
Speaker 11 (14:56):
Lot.
Speaker 8 (14:56):
Like you mentioned, this fly situation as it relates to
the government shut down, is very serious, very urgent, and
especially with the holiday season coming up as top of
mind for a lot of people. I don't know all
the ends and outsis relates to why the government is
shut down and what the particulars are and voting and
getting back open. It needs to reopen. Nobody's in favor
of the shutdown. Win in my lease in office yesterday
(15:18):
to get some mail, and the lady was in there
talking about how her rent is going to be laid
and has been late because of the whole government shut down.
Speaker 6 (15:24):
I just hope and pray that what.
Speaker 8 (15:27):
I have seen on chat, GBT and the little news articles,
I've seen that those who are holding it up for
I believe is the Affordable Healthcare Act and like snap,
that they're not conceding and making concessions on healthcare and
stuff like that. That's gonna affect millions of people further
down the line simply to open up the government because
of pressure for that.
Speaker 6 (15:45):
Agree agree, well, they need to.
Speaker 7 (15:49):
They need to vote on an affordable care or healthcare
whatever they're doing. They need to get to work, like
you open it up the government. Now, you got to
get right to what are we going to do because
the price of our health insurance.
Speaker 4 (16:03):
Is going and it's going to get worse.
Speaker 7 (16:06):
And I got to be honest with you. Our health
care sucks, you know what I mean. We already pay
a ton and if it goes up even more, we're
paying more. And I know there are people that are saying,
I'm just going to drop my health care and risk
the fact that I just don't want to have health care.
And the problem is, and I face this this year
with two major things in our family.
Speaker 6 (16:25):
Our health care stinks.
Speaker 7 (16:26):
We're already paying so much, and if we don't figure
this thing out, we pay. First off, they throw drugs
at everything, and we give the drug makers millions of dollars,
and the healthcare guys doing that, and all these politicians
get fat and happy in Hollywood. I just I saw
the whole thing about Nancy Pelosi retiring and how she
left office being like worth like one hundred and fifty
(16:48):
million dollars. Like, why is it that politicians don't have
term limits? Why is it the politicians, you know, shouldn't
be allowed to make money off this stuff?
Speaker 4 (16:56):
You know, you shouldn't be getting paid when the government
is shut.
Speaker 6 (16:59):
Down, exactly.
Speaker 8 (17:00):
We shouldn't have to choose between flood on my table
or medication or food in my table, medication and flying
Like who you know what I mean?
Speaker 6 (17:07):
Like, if that's the big issue, you're right, You're absolutely.
Speaker 9 (17:09):
Right, all right, another dirty today, along with all of
the buzz surrounding the upcoming season of Euphoria comes some
new rumors about two of the show's stars. Zendaya reportedly
refuses to be seen publicly with her co star Sidney Sweeney.
In fact, she Zendeia is winning all joint press appearances
(17:30):
with Sydney ahead of the show's promotional tour, and the
story I'm getting is that the two actresses are caught
up in this feud over very very different political belief
Sydney's rumored resistration registration as a Republican in Florida, her
continued silence on past praise from Donald Trump.
Speaker 4 (17:45):
Where's dandea? Excuse me?
Speaker 9 (17:48):
Is a very outspoken Democrat and this has caused so
much friction between the two they can't even stand to
be around each other. And he looks like Jesus, everybody,
he doesn't act like Jesus. A gym teacher Detroit Mumford
High School has been arrested and charged for soliciting a
minor for sex. Jacob Vincent, suitor from Mammy, Ohio, allegedly
(18:09):
offered an undercover agent posing as a minor sixty dollars
for oral sex.
Speaker 4 (18:15):
In a parking lot.
Speaker 9 (18:17):
He has been charged with prostitution to pay a minor
to engage in sexual activity. DPS released a statement saying
this teacher was placed on administrative leave. They are conducting
their own investigation to make sure that there were not
any additional victims at Mumford High School.
Speaker 6 (18:31):
I was watching the news.
Speaker 7 (18:32):
They said that they don't believe that there's anything other
than this one. And I'm wondering, when you know where
there's one, there's many possibly, you know.
Speaker 6 (18:41):
Yeah, it's interesting, that.
Speaker 7 (18:42):
Disgusting, it's yeah, and it's wild that the guy lived
in mommy and drove to Mumford High School. Every shot
outs as model my own shout outs of a mussade.
Speaker 6 (18:52):
That's a hike for a teaching job.
Speaker 9 (18:54):
If you miss anything from today's so, you can always
go back and check out the podcasts on the free
iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 5 (19:02):
Directly from the source.
Speaker 11 (19:04):
In the morning, It's Dirty on the thirty.
Speaker 7 (19:10):
Right now giving away our first pair of the morning
and Alejandro, I feel like I'm gonna play that Lady
g Got song for you.
Speaker 6 (19:16):
Alejandro, You're a winner. Yeah, Hey, thank you guys.
Speaker 28 (19:21):
I appreciate that you guys are amazing.
Speaker 6 (19:23):
Yo. This is my second time calling this.
Speaker 28 (19:26):
Is my second time winning something nice. I love you guys.
You guys are amazing, love me too.
Speaker 6 (19:31):
Wow, So that's awesome. What did you win the first
time that you called?
Speaker 28 (19:35):
Well, the first time I didn't really win, but I

No, yes, and that's not it.
Speaker 33 (28:36):
They're like hooking up or something. I don't know if
they're backdating, but they're like making out in a car.
Speaker 16 (28:42):

She got a phone call.
Speaker 29 (29:41):
Yell at her.
Speaker 6 (29:45):
Yeah, go up to the car.
Speaker 33 (29:48):
It's not like I have to deliver this order.
Speaker 12 (29:54):

Speaker 17 (30:08):
You stop. Hold the doors to tell her get over
there that car.
Speaker 33 (30:13):
Huh right, so the doors are probably locked. I can't
just get in there.
Speaker 12 (30:19):
I don't want to get in there.
Speaker 37 (30:21):
Windows a breakable, that's the corner. Just hold the phone
up to the window.
Speaker 25 (30:28):

Speaker 6 (30:29):
Heylnda, Who the is this, Londa? This is the mojo

Speaker 7 (30:39):
And Dana had you on Five Lives to tell your mom.
Speaker 22 (30:44):
Oh Dana, I.
Speaker 6 (30:52):
Was hoping Dana was gonna like pretend like she walked
up to the window and has you what mom was
gonna yell out at that? Amazing Dana did a great job. Line.
You are unbelievable. You're priceless.
Speaker 24 (31:07):
Thank you.
Speaker 7 (31:08):
Oh my god, you really you really don't like the
idea of Harley and Kelly together.
Speaker 6 (31:14):
Huh no, that's toxic.
Speaker 28 (31:17):
Absolutely no, no.
Speaker 6 (31:19):

where those things are.
Speaker 5 (31:58):
It's in the morning, sweet five Lives to tell you.
Speaker 25 (32:07):
Cheating test, Grab your man's phone and run to the bathroom
with it.
Speaker 5 (32:11):
If you kicks down the door. You have your answer.
Another world famous more of than Roses happens tomorrow morning.
It's seven and nine on Mojo in the Morning.
Speaker 7 (32:20):
All right, Mojo in the Morning, We're gonna do the
dirty in like five minutes or so. I want to
talk about this story because I was just reading this
during our last commercial break. Could you go Without Christmas?
This is a story that was up on Reddit. Could
you go ten years without receiving Christmas gifts? A daughter
(32:42):
says it was the best decision of her life. So
for the past ten years, Chinnadi Wiles and her family
have not exchanged Christmas gifts, and she says it's been
the best decision her parents have ever made. When she
was fourteen years old, her parents decided to skip the
(33:02):
usual holiday gift giving and instead commit to a full
blown family vacation every Christmas. Over the years, the trips
have ranged from US destinations like the Grand Canyon Disney
World in New York City to international getaways in places
like the Bahamas, Jamaica, and Mexico. Chinnidi, who by the way,
(33:24):
is not any relation to Rachel Chinnare reader's coming to
our jingle Ball, says that the change didn't feel like sacrifice,
far from it, she says, because the memories, the travel experiences,
and the time that their family had together turned out
to be some of the most valuable time that she
has ever had.
Speaker 6 (33:41):
Her advice is.
Speaker 7 (33:42):
If your family is feeling stuck in the same old
holiday routines, considering you know what to get each other
and always getting gifts that seem to get returned, she says,
try this as an option.
Speaker 6 (33:57):
I love it.
Speaker 7 (33:59):
When I first read this, I thought, she's fourteen years old,
she's getting nothing. And then I thought to myself, Okay,
at fourteen years old, at what point does it now?
At that point the magic of Christmas kind of like
it's done right at that point, right, You're not you're
not thinking of you know, the the you know what
I'm talking about, to the stuff I'm gonna get you.
I'm trouble with the little kids. But the magic of
Christmas and the magic of the idea that you are
(34:25):
now not having to sit there and go and get
another stupid gifted target that you know that the person
really doesn't even need, and you're gonna be anticipating next year. Kids,
we're all going to the Grand Canyon you know what
I mean?
Speaker 4 (34:40):
You know who does this?
Speaker 6 (34:41):
Who West? What?
Speaker 4 (34:42):
Yeah, Wes does it with his two kids with my
step What age did he start?
Speaker 9 (34:46):
So they've been doing it for two or three years,
so that would have made Samantha fourteen, so same same age.
Speaker 4 (34:53):
Now he does stockings for.
Speaker 9 (34:55):
Them, stockings he'll put like for her like makeup and
stuff and for Kuring like a you know, gas card, yes, whatever,
And then it kind of works out though for them
because they still get gifts from their mom.
Speaker 6 (35:09):
Was this something? Was this something that started with a
divorce then?
Speaker 4 (35:13):
Or did he didn't do this when we just started it?
Speaker 9 (35:16):
When he when the kids started getting older, and he
was like, I value experiences. I value making memories with
them more so than just getting them a bunch of
stuff that they tell me to get them.
Speaker 6 (35:27):
When he was married to their mom, did they did?
They were little?
Speaker 9 (35:31):
Oh so they were little. They got tworries. He's been
divorced for a long time. Okay, so he did buy
gifts as a single dad. Then it was but then
once they hit high school he started doing this and
they love it.
Speaker 6 (35:43):
Okay, I like it.
Speaker 7 (35:45):
I like it because you know what was funny is
until I actually became a grown ass man and had
my own job. I hadn't been out of anywhere but
my suburb that I lived in, Like it was one
of those things where it's like I never went to
any places. We traveled. I think we did one family
trip and I got to pick sure of it. And
you should see how god awful my outfit was in
that picture. Else that's send it to you, guys. But
we went to Disney World. We took a train and
(36:06):
Amtrak train to Disney World, Okay, and I don't even
remember anything other than the Amtrak train. My parents could
have taken me on a train to Chicago and I
would have been just as happy, because that's all I
remember from this track. And think about the fact that
you know, when your kids, you always remember your toys
and things.
Speaker 6 (36:25):
Absolutely.
Speaker 5 (36:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (36:26):
I think at a certain age you kind of lose
not the excitement of what you love as a child,
which is the reindeer and the thought and the Christmas
cookies and the Santa, but you just lose like the
opening of the gifts, Like it's not as exciting as
you're a kid and you're opening up a toy or
you're opening up a favorite video game like once you
(36:47):
hit a certain age, it's like close underwear, like it's
all that kind of crowd.
Speaker 6 (36:51):
Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (36:54):
My favorite is when the kids open up clothes and
they open it up and they go, yeah, the jeans
in the corner.
Speaker 9 (37:01):
It's before they open it up. Smith knows a rectangle vox.
Speaker 4 (37:04):
Can be closed.
Speaker 6 (37:05):
Its coo.
Speaker 7 (37:06):
But the interesting thing is though, then they get then
they open up a pair of New Jordan's or back
in the day, I remember easy. I remember when the
kids would get him and they you know, they would
get all excited over that stuff.
Speaker 6 (37:17):
They'd put it on right away.
Speaker 7 (37:18):
But then in about five seconds they're going downstairs and
they're playing a video game. Christina, what do you think
of this idea?
Speaker 4 (37:26):
I think this is totally fair.
Speaker 3 (37:28):
Like when I turned I think around eighteen, like right
out of high school, my.
Speaker 40 (37:33):
Mom switched over to doing vacations instead of Christmas gifts
because we already all had what we wanted, like we were.
Speaker 3 (37:39):
Adults, we had jobs, we bought.
Speaker 16 (37:41):
What we wanted.
Speaker 40 (37:42):
Like it ended up being like stocks, like you guys
are saying, clothing.
Speaker 3 (37:46):
Yeah, so now it turned into an experience that the
family could enjoy.
Speaker 6 (37:51):
At eighteen years old.
Speaker 7 (37:53):
Honestly, at eighteen years old, what are you get to
get besides something from the apple say? I think I
think fourteen is a great age because I think at
fourteen years old, you're at that age where now you're
starting to be inquisitive about what.
Speaker 6 (38:05):
The world is other than the world that you live in.
Speaker 7 (38:08):
And I think if you can do it in a
way where you go somewhere that kind of is fun
to learn about. Like I will say this, one of
the greatest family vacations my kids say that we've ever
took taken them on was the Washington DC.
Speaker 6 (38:21):
We did a trip to DC, and the kids loved it.
Speaker 7 (38:25):
They thought it was great because they got a chance
to go to places that they were like I see
on TV.
Speaker 4 (38:29):
You know, yeah, I like that.
Speaker 9 (38:31):
I'm struggling with this a little bit because I believe
the kids are with us Wes's kids. I think we
have all four of this Christmas morning, and I told him,
I'm like, I don't want my kids to be ripping
through gifts and Samantha and Kieran are going to be
sitting there not opening anything.
Speaker 4 (38:46):
So I told Samantha that was like.
Speaker 12 (38:47):
Send me off.
Speaker 7 (38:49):
At least one gift you got to open some listener
Samantha on the phone, what's up, Samantha that much?
Speaker 17 (38:56):
I'm actually doing that. Me and my husband are doing
that for the first time this year with our our kids.
They're nine, twelve, and fifteen.
Speaker 6 (39:03):
Wait, you're nine year old, though, you're doing this with
your nine year old?
Speaker 17 (39:07):
Yeah, well, I'm still going to They're still getting like,
they get to give me their three top gifts and
I'm going to get those than those and they'll open
those on Christmas Day and then probably.
Speaker 23 (39:15):
The day after we're going to leave to go down
to Florida for about six days.
Speaker 4 (39:19):
That's great, all right, ease them into it.
Speaker 17 (39:22):
Yeah, because my husband has nine days off because his
factory he works at shuts off. So instead of just
sitting at home doing nothing, we want to take advantage
of it.
Speaker 6 (39:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (39:30):
I think the nine year old is going to be
probably one of those ones that you compare your gifts
with your friends. But when you come back from break
and you say, this is where we went to. We
went to Florida and you got a tan, Like that's
the other thing, alexis what's going on?
Speaker 11 (39:46):
Hi?
Speaker 15 (39:46):
Yeah? So we start my husband and I started this
with my five year old.
Speaker 17 (39:50):
Last year we took her out of state, and this
year we're actually going to go out of the country.
Speaker 15 (39:54):
And she knows she's not getting gifts from mom and dad,
and she prefers it.
Speaker 17 (39:59):
She prefers to experiences.
Speaker 12 (40:01):
Where you going about the different.
Speaker 38 (40:03):
We're going to the Dominican.
Speaker 6 (40:05):
I like it. We're going to lay on the beach
with a cocktail.
Speaker 28 (40:08):
Kid, So she and she prefers it.
Speaker 23 (40:12):
I mean, she'll still get stuff from Santa, but she
raves about all of our trips.
Speaker 38 (40:16):
More than anything we've ever bought her.
Speaker 28 (40:18):
And you know, she's she'll be six this month.
Speaker 6 (40:21):
Where have you guys been?
Speaker 23 (40:23):
Uh, We've gone to Florida, Chicago, Alabama next year.
Speaker 15 (40:30):
So we're doing Dominican this year.
Speaker 16 (40:31):
We're doing Bahamas next year.
Speaker 6 (40:34):
I like it, adopt exactly. You got a room from
We're family. Wait was it was Alabama? Like?
Speaker 2 (40:41):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (40:42):
Like golf shores, crap or where'd you go?
Speaker 6 (40:47):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (40:48):
Kids gifts that year. Dad didn't hit his Christmas bonus
that year. What's going on in Brooklyn?
Speaker 6 (40:57):
How you doing.
Speaker 3 (40:59):
Hi?
Speaker 19 (41:00):
First time?
Speaker 40 (41:00):
Long time?
Speaker 6 (41:03):
What's happening?
Speaker 5 (41:06):
Yeah?
Speaker 38 (41:06):
So I really like this idea. My daughter, she'll be
two in January. Her birthday is January third, So eventually
I think.
Speaker 17 (41:14):
We'd like to do this.
Speaker 38 (41:16):
But I was telling them that a few years ago,
my husband and I we got engaged in Disney World.
Speaker 41 (41:23):
But that year we didn't do like.
Speaker 38 (41:27):
Christmas with his family. We just did like Little Stocking
Suffers and we ended up going to Disney World and
had a great memory of like being engaged, and it
was like, I don't know, I think it's nice toy,
not like to break up the Christmas gifts.
Speaker 9 (41:42):
Also to take some of the stress off of the shopping.
Because so my now as an adult, this is what
I do with my dad and my stepmom.
Speaker 4 (41:50):
We don't buy gifts for each other.
Speaker 9 (41:51):
We pick a weekend throughout the year to either like
go up north or go to Ohio to Hocking Hills,
and we do a weekend with the and it's.
Speaker 4 (41:58):
And has been.
Speaker 9 (41:59):
We've been it for four or five years. It's so fun,
gets so much better.
Speaker 7 (42:02):
I always say, look at the needless things that you
go and buy, and then look at the wrapping paper
and the tape, and you know, I can't find scissors.
I go out and buy another pair of scissors to
be able to cut the wrapping paper, all the crap
you spend money on, that's a waste of money. And
then think about the idea of making it a memory
(42:22):
instead of spending the money.
Speaker 9 (42:24):
You know, when the kids are little, though, I do
think toys and all of that.
Speaker 4 (42:28):
You have to do it.
Speaker 6 (42:29):
Yeah, it's it's it's a whole Santa thing.
Speaker 7 (42:32):
So even even Santa Claus takes his elves to not
Mobile Alabama, but maybe Dominican Republic.
Speaker 5 (42:43):
Mojo loves all three of Santa's hogs. This is Mojo
in the Morning.
Speaker 7 (42:47):

Chour in the Morning's Dirty on the thirty.
Speaker 6 (43:11):
All right, Shannon with what's training in the Dirty on
the thirty?
Speaker 9 (43:14):
Well, we saw a very emotional Jimmy Kimmel on his
show last night, as he announced the passing of his
band leader and childhood best friend, Clito Escubido, who died
yesterday morning at the very young age of fifty nine.
Speaker 34 (43:27):
I mean, everyone loves Kleito. He's everyone here at the show.
We are devastated by this. It's not it's just not fair.
He was the nicest, most humble, kind and always funny person.
More than anything, More than anything, Kleito loved to show
his others.
Speaker 6 (43:48):
You turn around and you look back, and there he was,
just out.
Speaker 4 (43:53):
I didn't hear a cause of death. I don't know
if you do.
Speaker 7 (43:55):
I think he had he had liver or kidney saying so,
I think it was nine years old. I met Cleto
when Cleto was you know, just maybe anything at twenties
or something like that. Because from each other, right, So,
they grew up in Vegas together and they used to
hang out with each other all the time. But he
would come visit Jimmy when we lived in Tucson and
(44:16):
was a great guy, actually very very funny. And it
was funny because when Jimmy was putting together his assemblance
of his show, after Jimmy had worked for Kevin and
Bean and Los Angeles and did the mancho and everything
like that. He hired all of his friends, and when
he hired Cleto, it made sense because when Clto would
come to town, all he and Clido would do is
play music together and hang out and Jimmy would pretend
(44:37):
like he could play the saxophone. But I but yeah,
it's very sad, he said last night on the show.
He said that there was one summer or one year
where he spent the night over at Cleto's house thirty
plus times. Basically, remember when you're a kid, you would
stay the night at your friend's houses thirty times. In
Cleto's family, you know who you know would have Jimmy
(44:59):
as another kid.
Speaker 6 (45:00):
It's like a brother.
Speaker 4 (45:01):
Megan Markle and the poppy pin.
Speaker 9 (45:04):
The Duchess did not wear a poppy to Chris Jenner's
seventieth birthday party, and actually I heard a rumor so
the poppy is what everybody in the UK wears during
Remembrance Weekend, their commemorative symbols of those who lost their
lives serving the country. And so you saw Prince Harry
(45:24):
wearing one. He got his during a recent visit to Canada.
He was meeting with some of the country's oldest veterans there.
But I heard a rumor that Megan Markle her team
actually had all of the photos of her from Chris
Jenner and Kim Kardashian's social posts removed from the party
because she wasn't wearing the poppy pin and got a
(45:47):
lot of backlash over it. Her excuse, allegedly is that
the poppies are not widely available in America, which didn't
sit well with a lot of people. Because Prince Harry
was wearing one, he could have got her. You can
also purchase one online from the Royal British Legion's website,
cost you twenty eight bucks for shipping, but what they
got the money, so, I don't know it was it
(46:09):
was a big thing that the Duchess was.
Speaker 4 (46:12):
Not wearing a poppy for Remembrance weekend.
Speaker 7 (46:15):
I thought, she's not really a royal, so it doesn't
make a difference anymore. Does she have to follow all
that protocol?
Speaker 9 (46:20):
I don't know if it's necessarily proto call or if
it's more so just that's a really nice thing to do.
Speaker 4 (46:27):
Yeah, And lastly, a.
Speaker 9 (46:29):
Regular dude named Scott Kelly is trending right now. What's
the story here if you've seen this over the past
twenty four to forty eight hours, Well, at the Jonas
Brothers concert in Buffalo, New York, a fan was filmed
sitting in the crowd scrolling through a resume on his
phone while the guys were up on stage performing, and
the clip was posted on TikTok and it read, Scott Kelly,
(46:51):
your resume is being reviewed at a Jonas Brothers concert tonight.
Good luck. For whatever reason, this thing exploded, racking up
eight I've seen million views in three million likes in hours,
quickly making Scott Kelly very famous. Even the Jonas Brothers
joined in on the fun, with Kevin and Jonas joking
on social media, I'm one of Scott Kelly's references. Well,
(47:14):
then all of these major brands started joining in. Companies
like Pepsi and Old Navy and Linez jumped into the
comments and they were posting stuff like Pepsi posted, cannot
recommend Scott enough, He's an elite employee. Uh Kleenex, Scott
Kelly gave us tissues while we were sobbing in the hallway.
(47:34):
Line is the skincare brand, posted Scott Kelly has hydrated skin.
You should definitely hire him, Sonic. Scott Kelly's impact on
company culture is unreal, Like this kept going and going
and going, and I don't know who the real Scott
Kelly is, but he should.
Speaker 6 (47:52):
Land a job.
Speaker 4 (47:53):
Yeah at this point, with how viral this went, this
is a.
Speaker 7 (47:56):
Better reason to go viral at a concert than that
guy that's cheating with this hum.
Speaker 4 (48:03):
Yeah, Scott Kelly, that's who Scott Kelly.
Speaker 7 (48:05):

Speaker 11 (48:44):

Thank you so much, and.
Speaker 7 (49:08):
Check out the j C. Penny jingle Ball collection for
you and your daughter. It's available right now at JC Penny.
It's Mojo in the Morning show. I want to do
a holiday topic here since we kind of got the
holiday mood going here right now. I feel like we
need a fireplace here to kind of crackling.
Speaker 4 (49:27):
Buy an Amazon. You should anna, we should put it
on one of these.
Speaker 9 (49:31):
Screens in here, like have like a yeah you know
how you can have the crackling logs out.
Speaker 7 (49:35):
Yeah. I actually do that on my Comcast. I have
it there, the fake the fake fire there and can
do that. That's fire too. It is pretty cool. So
I want to talk about I want to talk about
the holidays. So last night we uh facetimed with Jacob
and Chris, Jacob's boyfriend, to get the final word on
what he's doing for the holidays, and Chelse and I
(49:58):
got the final word on how are or Thanksgiving and
Christmas is gonna be. And I gotta be honest with you,
I'm kind of bummed about this whole time. And then
it's not because of Jacob and Chris. I mean, listen,
Joe and Alyssa also had to make decisions too. So
our kids are at the age where we have grown
kids that have grown relationships. Joe is engaged, he's gonna
(50:20):
get married in a year. Jacob and Chris they live
together in sin No, but they're gonna hopefully get married sometime.
I'd love to see Chris become part of our family.
He already is right now, but they are making decisions
on where they're spending the holidays. So Thanksgiving and Christmas
has always been the time where we literally would get
(50:42):
together as a family, and we would try to keep
it to just the five of us, and occasionally what
I would do is invite a million people from the
radio stations and join us. But I never would really
bring Chelsea's family in or my family in for holidays.
I think we did it a few times, and then
we decided that it was just going to be us. Yeah,
because of the kids, we wanted to kind of focus
on them. And if anybody wanted to come or really
(51:04):
mess like grandparents and stuff, wanted to come, absolutely, they
can come, but we kind of just focused on us.
Now we are orphaned. We are orphaned parents because Joe
and Alissa are going to spend Thanksgiving together in Florida.
Jacob and Chris are going to join us for Thanksgiving
or be part of our Thanksgiving here, so it's gonna
(51:26):
be cool. We get Chris for the first time. But
because of that, Jacob and Chris had to make the
decision that Christmas they're going to spend with Chris's family
in the Chicago area. Joe and Alyssa are going to
spend Christmas with us, so it didn't match that both
of them could match at the same time.
Speaker 4 (51:43):
And you're not going to have all three for any holiday.
Speaker 7 (51:46):
No, And then there's poor Luke who basically but Luke
is with us no matter what until he gets down
with college and gets into a relationship, you know what
I mean.
Speaker 12 (51:55):
Would you prefer they both came for one of them?
So everyone could be together.
Speaker 7 (51:59):
I don't know what's better or that. You know, it's funny, Anna,
I don't know what is better. I think that honestly,
I would I probably would rather have it because I
think what I would do is at that moment then
I would probably see what Luke wanted to do and
let him pick whatever he wanted to do for the
holiday that they couldn't be at.
Speaker 4 (52:14):
I'm telling you it's better how it is now.
Speaker 6 (52:16):
Do you think so?
Speaker 9 (52:16):
Because I have spent Christmas mornings all by myself.
Speaker 6 (52:20):
And it's not it's depressing.
Speaker 11 (52:22):
It's so.
Speaker 4 (52:24):
It's very depressed.
Speaker 6 (52:25):
Really, it's very hard because so.
Speaker 9 (52:26):
At least you have you know, one, will you have two?
At least you always have two the three.
Speaker 7 (52:32):
See, I look at Thanksgiving as a throwaway, but it's Christmas.
It's a Thanksgiving like Christmas to me because it's about
you know, it's not just about it's not about Santa
Claus in our family, it's about you know, the birth
of Christ.
Speaker 6 (52:44):
But I also like the.
Speaker 7 (52:46):
Idea that you wake up and you get two days
because you get Thanksgiving is just one day.
Speaker 6 (52:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (52:51):
But so, and it's funny bring us up because now
I'm thinking about it. I'm like, maybe it would be
cool if we could match him up and match him
at the same time. But I want to ask this question,
when did you stop spending the holidays together as a family,
and then at what point is it acceptable to kind
of like rotate and do this, Because I actually said
to Chelsea, go, you know what, they're both not married yet,
(53:14):
and I kept staying and being with my family until
you and I got married. Yeah, and I think that that,
you know, maybe you still you go to each other's
families until you get married.
Speaker 4 (53:25):
I know, but they're basically both married.
Speaker 6 (53:27):
Well not really, I mean they're fornicating, you know, their long.
Speaker 12 (53:30):
Term relationships engagements.
Speaker 6 (53:33):
But still though, it's like you go to your family. Yeah.
Speaker 8 (53:36):
I think things changed in my family when the ogs
start getting older. Like my Aunt Penny and my Grandma
Roof were the foundation for our family. Both are still alive,
but they've gotten older and the energy level isn't the
same as it used to be, so they would wrangle
everyone up. They would host Thanksgiving would always be an
Auncie pennyhouse, Christmas would always be at Grandma house. And
(53:59):
at a certain point in time they got older and
nobody start going.
Speaker 9 (54:04):
I agree with you. When both of my grandma's passed away.
I never met my grandfathers, but when both of my
grandma's passed away, they were truly the matriarchs that did
the holidays and kept everybody coming into town and getting together.
And you knew, you know your plans for the holidays,
and everybody was together always like I want it.
Speaker 7 (54:23):
I've been wanting for the last five years to sell
our house and I've always been talked out of it
by the kids because they're like, you can't sell our
family house. Where will we spend the holidays? Well, guess
what where are we going to spend the holidays? And honestly,
it's at a point like I don't want to be
the be a dick in this whole thing, but part
of me is like put the for sale sign in
front of the freaking thing, you know what I mean? Yeah,
Because but it gets down and I feel bad for
(54:45):
Luke because then we called Luke up and we told Luke, hey,
Jacob's not coming. Should we just then say to Joe
and Alyssa, Hey, you know you guys stay down in Florida,
will just come down to you.
Speaker 6 (54:54):
Guys and stuff in.
Speaker 7 (54:56):
Poor Luke's like, I want my house, you know what
I mean, I want to take that, but I know
I'm the baby of the family and I tell you,
tell you what the yeah, And you know, traditions and
families go through, they evolve, and you don't necessarily get
a chance to enjoy like what your adult uh you know,
(55:17):
older siblings got to, Like my older siblings got to
have our family together for a longer time than I got,
you know, because my dad got remarried when I was
in high school and then sold our family house and
I lived with my sisters for high school.
Speaker 8 (55:31):
And it's also like I feel like Luke doesn't have
a say so anything. He just has to deal with whatever,
but everyone else's decision.
Speaker 6 (55:37):
Is Honestly, Chelsea gives him a pretty good say so though, well.
Speaker 8 (55:40):
I mean like in terms of will Jacob come in,
will yes, you know, jokes, like he just has to
deal with whatever.
Speaker 12 (55:47):
Is and everyone wants you to be like the fun one, Like, oh,
you're the one that's there. So all the aunts and
uncles are like, we all want to talk to you,
and it's like, oh.
Speaker 7 (55:55):
My god, you know what Luke is concerned with? You
know this was Lui's biggest concern. He wants to be
in Michigan for New Year's because he's like, I am,
He goes, I'm not spending New Year's with my parents
because we were last year we went down to Florida
right after Christmas, and he was like, I am not
New New year'sy and.
Speaker 6 (56:14):
What's up, Charity High.
Speaker 40 (56:17):
So my comment is that I have only one child
and he is in the army, so I cannot spend
as my holidays as I would like to do with him,
especially since he is in Hawaii.
Speaker 7 (56:33):
Oh, although that would be a nice thing, that you
should go to Hawaii. How do we get to Yeah,
we Charity. First off, thank you for raising a brave
young man that is serving for our country and we're
saluting him.
Speaker 6 (56:49):
But get to Hawaii and go see him. How can
we get you to Hawaii?
Speaker 3 (56:54):
I do get to.
Speaker 15 (56:54):
Go see him for Christmas.
Speaker 19 (56:56):
We are going to travel and spend some base with him.
Speaker 7 (56:59):
So good that those circumstances are tough. I always feel
for the families where dads are mom's not home for
the holidays because they're serving in our military.
Speaker 6 (57:08):
What's up, Teresa?
Speaker 11 (57:10):
Yes, my dad is eighty nine.
Speaker 41 (57:12):
My mom is eighty six. I have five siblings, so
at Christmas we have to rent a hall.
Speaker 3 (57:20):
So we can put everybody together. There's like ninety seven
of us. Baby a little bit more.
Speaker 38 (57:24):
We have the eight foot tables that are just nothing
but packed with food.
Speaker 6 (57:29):
Oh my god, are you guys Italian?
Speaker 11 (57:30):
Wow?
Speaker 40 (57:32):
No, no, we're not Italian.
Speaker 3 (57:34):
I have to get two turkeys, twenty pound turkeys. Oh
would equal about forty pounds?
Speaker 6 (57:39):
Would?
Speaker 3 (57:39):
He has two big hams?
Speaker 6 (57:40):
Teresa? Will you take it? Chelsea, Luke and I for Christmas?
Speaker 4 (57:44):
That's fine.
Speaker 14 (57:45):
I will.
Speaker 3 (57:48):
Dinner.
Speaker 6 (57:48):
Oh my god, be careful.
Speaker 9 (57:49):
Our listeners will show us dinner always so early on
holiday because you want leftovers.
Speaker 4 (57:54):
I know, but like, like two isn't really early?
Speaker 12 (57:57):
I see four.
Speaker 7 (57:58):
Maybe Hannah had a thought on this one, Hannah, what's
your thought?
Speaker 16 (58:03):
Good morning?
Speaker 42 (58:04):
I think that if you're not married, you stay at
home with your family, Okay, engage maybe, like I feel
a little different about maybe Joe because you engaged. But
if you're not married, and how we me and my
husband got engaged. I spent Christmas with my family and
Thanksgiving with mine, and he spent it there.
Speaker 17 (58:22):
I think it it's like that work up for when
you do get married, then you get there.
Speaker 6 (58:27):
I agree.
Speaker 4 (58:28):
I just feel like, I do you want to be
with your future.
Speaker 7 (58:33):
In honestly and honestly I do think that you know that,
Like I feel bad that Chris is not going to
be with his parents on Thanksgiving or Alyssa on Christmas.
You know what I mean, Like it's one last one
to be from here on out. But I think it's
one last one. No, you know what's gonna end up happening.
I think I think they're going to have their own
Christmas and we all will end up going to them
(58:54):
or something.
Speaker 6 (58:54):
You know, we'll pick families to go to.
Speaker 8 (58:56):
I don't think you have to wait, though, Like I
don't think my love should be you know, level of
love should be determined in a way, because I've proposed
to you, you can be in a long term, committed relationship.
You can to identify that this is your person, this
is who you want to spend those happy family time
moments with. And just because I haven't proposed to you
means like I can't go with you and spin my family.
Speaker 6 (59:19):
I gotta go to my Well, you've been fornicating with
women for your long time, so I gotta do it.
Speaker 7 (59:23):
We're talking about stephan turkeys, not stuff people. Can I
be honest with you, you know who's gonna win. Whichever
kid ends up going and getting pregnant first and having
a kid, whoever has the first grandkids is going to
be the ones that Erica, what's up?
Speaker 6 (59:36):
Well, God, please know what's going on? Erica?
Speaker 18 (59:42):
Dad Kai Okay? Well on two things you had mentioned
earlier that Christmas is, you know, your favorite holiday, and
I agree. I mean, I enjoyed Christmas.
Speaker 3 (59:50):
It's very important, but I.
Speaker 18 (59:52):
Think Thanksgiving is much better because there's no expectations, meaning,
you know, no gifts, nothing to worry about, but just
kind of bringing your food. And the other thing I
wanted to mention is once we had our son, it
was really hard to juggle all the holidays because he
was the first grandson on my husband's side. So now
(01:00:13):
what we do is we rotate every Thanksgiving. And I
come from a very large family, his family is small,
and then every Christmas Eve is at my in laws
house and after Christmas Day is at.
Speaker 17 (01:00:24):
My side of the family.
Speaker 18 (01:00:26):
It was difficult in the beginning, but we're making it work.
Speaker 7 (01:00:29):
Yeah, they're so so if there's so many dynamics.
Speaker 6 (01:00:33):
It's tough.
Speaker 7 (01:00:33):
I think of my my sisters were really struggled with
the fact that I have not spent a Christmas with
them in so many years because I chose where we
were living in Arizona, and I chose that we were
going to stay as a family in Arizona, and then
when we came to Detroit, we stayed in Detroit and
stuff like that. So I get it, you know, And
I think, honestly, I think the guy's family always loses out.
(01:00:53):
And guess what, I got three boys, So I think
we're losing Chelsea, what's up?
Speaker 6 (01:00:59):
Taylor? Hey, Mojoe, how are you guys? Good? Is this
Taylor from a Light House Sixteriors? This is what's going on.
Speaker 28 (01:01:09):
I'm with keV on this one. Right when grandparents get older,
we lost it and they's too many people, too much
food to cook. She's like my house anymore.
Speaker 1 (01:01:22):
This is a getting too big, too out of way.
Speaker 6 (01:01:24):
So I'm with Kevin.
Speaker 28 (01:01:25):
Now, That's how my family was.
Speaker 7 (01:01:28):
It's sad though, that that our grandparents in that generation
had to keep things together as a family, like we
have to be able to step up and do it
for our families too, Like I think we have to demand,
like as as whatever thirty forty fifty somethings. We have
to demand that family is important and where Yeah, and
we have to be able to say that because here's
(01:01:50):
the problem. That generation did it because that's how they
were raised. The problem is we don't do that because
we're like, well, you know, we got phones and cameras astracting.
Speaker 6 (01:02:00):
Yeah. I was so happy yesterday.
Speaker 8 (01:02:02):
My cousin Gerard, whose mom is I'm pinning that I
referenced earlier, that maintained that Thanksgiving tradition, text me yesterday
and it was like, we're having things giving at my
house just like old time. Tell everybody everybody's coming. I'm
so excited, that's all. I cannot wait.
Speaker 7 (01:02:19):
And you know what, You're going to give that to
Josiah and now he's gonna look at that as.
Speaker 8 (01:02:23):
Josiah's mom text me yesterday said they might get a
flight to Atlanta to go to things, and I was
gonna bring out it later.
Speaker 4 (01:02:28):
That hard crushed me.
Speaker 6 (01:02:32):
I feel you you want to take Luke Luke.
Speaker 43 (01:02:36):
It's I had to in the morning show to your
appreciation on our free heart video app and never.
Speaker 5 (01:02:45):
Missed the show.
Speaker 6 (01:02:47):
What's going on, Danielle? What were you calling about?
Speaker 27 (01:02:50):
Hey, Mojo, I just wanted to say that we can
tell that you watch the Ed Gains story because you
keep using the word for Nicadi.
Speaker 7 (01:02:58):
I know, mother, I know fornicating. It's like my new
favorite thing that I'm telling you. If you don't watch
that shoe you're.
Speaker 4 (01:03:09):
How does he say? He's me too? I couldn't go
anything going out. His boys just got me fast.
Speaker 6 (01:03:22):
You got to watch it. It's the best, Danielle, isn't
it Well?
Speaker 17 (01:03:26):
I don't know that that's the best.
Speaker 6 (01:03:29):
It's good. Thank you for the call. I appreciate it.
I have a good day you too.
Speaker 7 (01:03:34):
It's Mojo in the Morning Show. Shannon walked in on
by the construction worker.
Speaker 6 (01:03:40):
What's the story.
Speaker 9 (01:03:41):
So there's so much construction happening in my house right
now because my my sweet little second crater took a
forty minute shower and flooded the bathroom, which went through
the ceiling, which found all sorts of other issues with
our house.
Speaker 4 (01:03:53):
It's just been a disaster.
Speaker 6 (01:03:54):
So there are.
Speaker 9 (01:03:55):
Holes and no ceilings, and there's lots of construction means
lots of construction workers in my house at all.
Speaker 4 (01:04:00):
Times.
Speaker 9 (01:04:01):
I got home from work and I had to use
the bathroom. And there's a bathroom, like right when you
walk into my house, open the door. It's always closed
because of the dogs. The dogs like to get into
the garbage. Can open the door, and sure enough, one
of the guys was in there, go in number two
pants around the air, walk.
Speaker 22 (01:04:22):
Right in and I was like, I did a scream,
and I'm like, I didn't see anything, don't worry, and
I shut the door.
Speaker 4 (01:04:29):
But I saw enough that his jeans were around. It
was crazy, Mojo, you're dying.
Speaker 9 (01:04:35):
That's I watched out And I was like, oh my god,
oh my, oh my god, oh my god.
Speaker 4 (01:04:40):
And so I texted West.
Speaker 9 (01:04:42):
I was like, comb home, no, because I can't look
at this guy like in the face ever again.
Speaker 4 (01:04:48):
So you got to deal with them.
Speaker 7 (01:04:49):
My my least favorite favorite thing ever is when somebody
will will be in a bathroom and you open up
the door and it's like you know, and it's not
like you see you see, like I didn't see you, but.
Speaker 4 (01:05:04):
I saw his pants around, his hands over what I saw.
That's what I saw. Oh my god. He made a noise.
He was like, oh, did.
Speaker 12 (01:05:17):
You guys see each other after it happened.
Speaker 9 (01:05:20):
No, I'm not joking when I say I avoided this
man for the rest of the time he was at
my house because I was so embarrassed. And you guys
know how I feel about people pooping at my house.
Speaker 6 (01:05:33):
I know it.
Speaker 4 (01:05:34):
West is like, get out that I saw here you go?
Speaker 7 (01:05:38):
What would by the way, you call us up and
tell us the I walked in on them pooping story?
Because I want I want to hear that, because that's
always the funniest but I love it. Which which would
be the worst with walking in on somebody pooping or
somebody taking care of business on themselves? Like God, for sure, Honestly,
it's just as bad the other way too. I'll probably
(01:06:00):
the guy standing up white.
Speaker 8 (01:06:01):
Then Oh god, I'm still on taking care of it
at that point, who would you rather be? Because if
I'm the one that's doing it, I can't finish.
Speaker 6 (01:06:09):
At that point.
Speaker 7 (01:06:11):
How much longer was he in the toilet for before
he walked out?
Speaker 9 (01:06:17):
I mean I walked into a totally separate room. I
would say, maybe a minute or two.
Speaker 7 (01:06:23):
And have you you have not seen him since then?
Or no, you did see him?
Speaker 9 (01:06:28):
I have seen him and truthfully have not made eye contact.
West has done all of the dockings. I still need
to get over this. This just happened.
Speaker 6 (01:06:38):
Did you smell anything?
Speaker 4 (01:06:39):
No, I really couldn't.
Speaker 6 (01:06:41):
Was he just it was he just one of the workers,
or was he like the guy or whatever?
Speaker 4 (01:06:45):
I don't want to say because I don't want.
Speaker 6 (01:06:46):
To know because I'm wondering because if it's one of.
Speaker 4 (01:06:49):
Like the that's embarrassing enough that I happened.
Speaker 20 (01:06:51):
No.
Speaker 7 (01:06:51):
If it's one of the workers and he's the guy,
like you know that's doing the work, oh good, I
don't have to like negotiate with him and write the
final chat. But if it's the guy, you have to
give the final check too. I'm going to be like.
Speaker 6 (01:07:06):
One.
Speaker 8 (01:07:07):
Wasn't a situation where they were already working in the
house while you were there, so they could have asked
to use it?
Speaker 6 (01:07:13):
Or did you just come home?
Speaker 9 (01:07:14):
Well, they're in my house all the time, even when
we're not there because there's so much to be done.
So they had been there, I don't I don't know
for how long. But when I got home, they were
already there.
Speaker 4 (01:07:25):
So he had used.
Speaker 9 (01:07:26):
The bathroom thinking, probably thinking I wasn't home, and then.
Speaker 4 (01:07:29):
I came home. I went right to the bathroom. I
was going to pee my pants.
Speaker 6 (01:07:33):
You know, I love the first off.
Speaker 7 (01:07:35):
I don't know if it's that they don't lock it
or what, but I love walking into a public restroom
and you just open the door, guys really fast. No,
I love, but I love the I don't like to
have that happen to me. But I'm telling you, if
you're somebody that doesn't lock the door, lock the fricking door.
Speaker 4 (01:07:54):
I don't see.
Speaker 9 (01:07:54):
I don't have locks on the bathrooms. This is crazy.
So that bathroom used to have a lock.
Speaker 4 (01:08:01):
It just doesn't. Like the pitt, it doesn't work anymore.
Speaker 9 (01:08:03):
The only room in my entire house that has a
lock that works is Lucy and Samantha's bathroom.
Speaker 4 (01:08:09):
They share.
Speaker 6 (01:08:10):
What's up, Tracy High.
Speaker 16 (01:08:14):
Good morning.
Speaker 15 (01:08:15):
I'm a school teacher and we had a new principal
starting and I was in the office area and I
walked into the bathroom and I saw our principal and
his last name, his last name was Babcock, was running
because he didn't know me at the time. So I
(01:08:36):
hurry up and ran and hid in the assistant principal's office.
And she's like, oh my god, what's wrong? I said,
I literally just saw Babs. Oh god, I had a
bright yellow sweatshirt on. I even hur up and took
it off.
Speaker 6 (01:08:59):
What's up, Eric, How you doing.
Speaker 3 (01:09:02):
Doing good? First time? Long time?
Speaker 19 (01:09:07):
My daughter is going to be so sad that she
missed this. I just dropped her off, but real quick
downtown Northvilleorte shot out, I was.
Speaker 23 (01:09:16):
At the stop thought opening of my fiance's.
Speaker 19 (01:09:20):
Restaurants, needed to use the restroom.
Speaker 38 (01:09:23):
Walked in on the soux chef's girlfriend sitting on her toilet,
scrolling and vaping.
Speaker 9 (01:09:28):
Oh she was really multitasking?
Speaker 5 (01:09:32):
Did she yes?
Speaker 6 (01:09:33):
Wait?
Speaker 19 (01:09:33):
Did she get into the awkward end of the night.
Speaker 6 (01:09:35):
Did she get in trouble for doing that on company time?
Or what happened?
Speaker 16 (01:09:41):
No one really had.
Speaker 19 (01:09:42):
Any thing to say about it. It was very shocking.
Speaker 3 (01:09:45):
She didn't have been very much closed on to begin with,
so she already stuck out.
Speaker 7 (01:09:50):
What if you walk in on somebody that's interesting, naked,
that that takes their clothes off to go dud?
Speaker 42 (01:09:56):
You know sometimes honestly wouldn't be surprised.
Speaker 7 (01:10:00):
Those people are wild that take their clothes off. What's up, Lauren?
How you doing well?
Speaker 6 (01:10:08):
Then? Shake your phone for a second. What'd you say?
Speaker 23 (01:10:12):
So, good morning morning my phone?
Speaker 6 (01:10:15):
By the way, what's going on?
Speaker 12 (01:10:18):
Okay?
Speaker 23 (01:10:19):
So, as Jack happened to me last week, my husband
and I were flying and I walked into one of
the like with the family restrooms. It has like the
baby changing sea.
Speaker 12 (01:10:32):
Where were you at the airport?
Speaker 23 (01:10:34):
The airport airport? Sorry, yeah, So it's supposed to be
made for people with a baby, right. It has room
for a stroller, the changing station, and then a stall.
So I and everyone else who doesn't have a baby,
who doesn't have a baby supposed to use the normal bathroom.
So I walk in and with my baby and his stroller,
(01:10:56):
and there is a flight attendant sitting there, pants around
the ankles, and she just freaked out. She's like, oh
my god, I'm so sorry. The line at the bathroom
was long, uh, And I was just standing there and
I just kind of like backed into the corner and
waited for her to finish because I had my baby
and his stroller, and I put it like get out
(01:11:18):
the door quickly.
Speaker 4 (01:11:19):
Oh my gosh, it's so awkward.
Speaker 6 (01:11:21):
It was so awesome. So you actually opened and pushed
the stroller in there and then stayed well shared experience, and.
Speaker 23 (01:11:32):
She was so embarrassed. I was like, okay, like it's okay,
Like it was really awkward.
Speaker 6 (01:11:38):
That's right there.
Speaker 7 (01:11:39):
Where all of a sudden, I get it, you know,
like ghost poops or something like that. But I can't.
I can't get something out, Gina, what's up? Lydia says,
you have a question for me.
Speaker 3 (01:11:50):
It's Jenna.
Speaker 6 (01:11:51):
I'm sorry, Jenna, Hi, Jenna.
Speaker 39 (01:11:53):
Hi mojo.
Speaker 3 (01:11:55):
Do you stand up while wiping? Is this normal?
Speaker 7 (01:12:00):
Sometimes? Because sometimes they're low? There are toilets that are
lower and I end up getting my hand wet by
you know, going uh going in.
Speaker 5 (01:12:10):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:12:10):
Oh man, okay.
Speaker 7 (01:12:13):
Do you not stand up? Do you not stand up?
When you how do you guys wipe? Do you wipe
sitting down?
Speaker 9 (01:12:19):
Ninety eight percent of the time I wipe sitting down.
Sometimes there are extenuating circumstances where it requires the stand up.
Speaker 4 (01:12:27):
Yeah, so you stand up, bend over?
Speaker 6 (01:12:29):
Yeah? Like I like, I didn't know that? Is that
is that bad?
Speaker 9 (01:12:33):
Are you standing up every time just when you feel
like the toilet is extra low?
Speaker 6 (01:12:37):
I stand up most of the times because of most
time I need a big stretch.
Speaker 4 (01:12:41):
Okay, all right, why do you pe.
Speaker 6 (01:12:44):
Sitting down your craft standing up? You know? I don't know, Yeah,
you do?
Speaker 19 (01:12:49):
You.
Speaker 6 (01:12:51):
I appreciate as long as you get clean.
Speaker 4 (01:12:54):
We're not judging. There's just a mental picture now.
Speaker 6 (01:12:56):
Yeah, okay, I'll take pictures next time. I'll post pictures.
All right, thank you, please do bye Detroit, Yes, Toledo.
Speaker 4 (01:13:10):
This is Mojo in the Morning Mojo. He's amazing live.
Speaker 1 (01:13:16):
Mojo.
Speaker 5 (01:13:27):
Think one God, let me take you back to the beginning.
Speaker 6 (01:13:30):
Is alrighty ready you're listening to Mojo in the Morning here,
you're a doodo head.
Speaker 7 (01:13:39):
Let's go all right, it's Mojo on the Morning Show.
Tomorrow's War the Roses Day. Make sure that you're listening
tomorrow morning to the Mojo in the Morning Show War
of the Roses. That's happening at seven and nine o'clock.
Mojo on the Morning is breaking and entering.
Speaker 6 (01:13:56):
Christmas.
Speaker 7 (01:13:56):
Wish is granting wishes for the holidays. You can go
to wish dot org and tell us something about yourself
or a friend or a family member that you would
like to get a wish granted for, and we'll be
granting wishes this holiday season. Mojo's wish dot Org and
it's entering a letter to us and just then hoping
(01:14:21):
and praying that we can get to as many of
these wishes as we possibly can. Coming up here in
a little bit, i'll tell you about our Thanksgiving celebration
and when you can get in, so I'll do that
and just a little bit. It's Mojo in the Morning
Show yesterday on the show, and I got emotional when
her sister called her up during the show, and I
(01:14:41):
thought that was beautiful that Bianca posted that. If you
didn't see that, you can go onto our Instagram. I
thought it was sweet because of your sister called up
and your sister said some very very nice things about you.
And then you guys talked to each other for a
brief moment and you mentioned something about how you're going
through like a little little struggle. But then after the
(01:15:03):
show happened, we had one of those moments as a show. So, yeah,
how you doing today? I'm doing okay.
Speaker 12 (01:15:10):
So something that I've always struggled with is talking about
how I'm feeling when I'm going through something. I don't
know if this is common for people, but when I'm
going through something tough, I would rather not talk about
it to literally anyone until I have some sort of
resolution or some answers, because I just I don't what
(01:15:34):
is there to say, besides everything's going terribly in this situation.
Yesterday my sister called. I was having a tough day already.
We have been going through something that I'm not ready
to share an air yet for probably about the past month,
and yesterday was just hard. When I woke up when
(01:15:54):
she called, I got emotional and started crying. So I
felt that I needed to tell the show of what
was going on because y'all are probably like, why is
this girl crying right now? So I did, and immediately
after I mentioned it, Shannon was like, if you ever
need to talk, I went through something very similar and
(01:16:17):
it's just crazy to me how my instinct is to
not talk about it at all. But when I did
talk about it, I instantly had some relief because I
was like, wow, like somebody else went through this and
can help me through it. And it was just a
reminder that maybe it's not always good to just keep
(01:16:38):
your feelings in Yeah. Yeah, so thank you, Shannon, And yeah,
definitely something I will open up to the listeners about.
Speaker 7 (01:16:49):
Uh now is just not the time, you know, it's
funny because of when your sister called up the thing
that I loved was I loved It's cool to have siblings.
Like siblings are cool, it's cool to also have your
siblings tell you how much they love you and how
(01:17:09):
what you mean to And nobody knows you better than
probably your siblings. I know, I know, we think our
friends know us, but there's something about the fact that
you guys came out at the same place, you.
Speaker 6 (01:17:18):
Know what I mean.
Speaker 9 (01:17:18):
And I also think a moment like yesterday, Anna, Like,
that's one of the really cool things about this show
is I think that sometimes we have people in our life,
and in this case, your sister who you like, you
want to say things like that too. You want to
tell somebody how much they mean to you. Maybe the
occasion never arises, or you're nervous to for whatever reason,
(01:17:41):
or it's just like we don't talk to each other
that way. And so yesterday was that opportunity, and I
could tell that that that wasn't maybe a common thing
or you just really needed it in that moment full transparency.
Speaker 12 (01:17:53):
My sister and I are like five years apart, so
we've never been super close, Like we don't talk about emotions.
That's actually my entire family. We never have talked about
our emotions. So hearing her say that, I was like, whoa,
that's weird because usually we're fighting or not talking. And
it just meant a lot. So thank you, Allison.
Speaker 7 (01:18:12):
Can I also say this about it as a show,
like you talk about siblings. I think that you guys
are like siblings to all, you know, like to me,
And I know that we kind of played, you know,
we talk about family like we're like a family. And
I always said I always loved that, and then I
realized we're not necessarily a family, but we're a work
family and we're an extension of what a family can be.
(01:18:34):
But it's nice because we spend so many hours together
to be able to and I've done it in the past,
all of us, I think have done it. We've come
to each other and said, hey, I'm going through this.
It's nice to be able to open up and say that.
And I could tell that you felt relieved I did.
(01:18:54):
And then afterwards we did shots together, which is kind
nice to have a bar. But I in my case
of where I've said something to you guys and told
you guys something that was going on in my real
family's life. It's awesome to be able to know that
you guys can be trusted with what you were just
(01:19:15):
told and that I know that you guys are going
to protect me and protect my family and pray for us,
and you know what I mean, Like I really do.
I think it's I feel bad when I talk to
my friends about their work. I feel bad that not
everybody gets to work in a safe environment like this,
Like there are people that just punch clocks, you know
(01:19:35):
what I mean, or some people that don't even know
who their coworkers are. And the sad part is you
don't know what you're what that person that may be
an a hole to you that you work with, or
somebody that just basically is the person you just say
hi to, you don't know what they're going through, you know.
Speaker 6 (01:19:52):
Yeah, Wait is a real thing, man.
Speaker 8 (01:19:56):
And I feel as though we are all blessed with
the ability to hold a certain level of weight, and
sometimes life provides more weight than we've been blessed with
the ability to carry, and the only thing we can
do in many instances is give it to God, but
also release it.
Speaker 6 (01:20:17):
And when you finally.
Speaker 8 (01:20:20):
Exhale, and release, and you're provided a safe environment to
do that, then you get back to carrying the weight
that you were supposed to carry in the first place.
And I think that's a problem with like a lot
of society right now, is like we're holding a lot more.
Speaker 14 (01:20:34):
Than what we're all trying to process on our own, yeah,
and also trying to to I don't want to use
the word pretend in my mind because I don't know
why that's in my mind though, but you know, we
want to hold more than what we're allotted and find
your people, even if it's journaling.
Speaker 8 (01:20:52):
Or if it's whatever the case is. But like let
some of that weight go because it's so freeing. Yeah,
I mean it's free.
Speaker 12 (01:20:58):
And more people feel the same way, more chances than not, I.
Speaker 6 (01:21:02):
Think, Jessica, what's happened in this mode on the morning?
Good morning, guys, Good morning.
Speaker 10 (01:21:09):
I was just calling in to say, you know, Anna,
I completely understand I do the same thing. And it's
my reasoning is because everyone goes through things and I
just don't feel like I want to burden people with
my problem, like keep everything inside. And I've come to
realize it's not a healthy thing to do because yes,
(01:21:30):
Like you have said, it feels great when you do
actually let it out, and so I just I feel
your pain and yeah, and I hope everything goes well
for you.
Speaker 12 (01:21:42):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 7 (01:21:44):
In a lot of cases, you've got to be able
to develop trust before you can do that too, and
you've been so so new to things that sometimes you
don't necessarily know who you're around or who you can trust. Aaron,
what's happening, Hey, Joe, how are you? I'm good, Aaron,
what's going on?
Speaker 8 (01:22:03):
Nothing?
Speaker 44 (01:22:03):
And I just wanted to tell Anna, I'm so proud
of you girl. I'm a therapist and I just wanted
to say that, like, vulnerability drives connection, and a lot
of times we hold that in because we feel shame.
But I'm really proud of you for reaching out to Shannon,
and I'm so glad that she could hold space for you.
And I hope you feel like a weight's been lifted.
Speaker 12 (01:22:23):
Definitely do.
Speaker 44 (01:22:25):
Yeah, that's awesome. I'm really proud of you, and just
keep on keeping on. These emotions aren't going to last forever,
and hopefully you feel like because Shannon could hold space
for you, that you can reach out to people in
the future for.
Speaker 6 (01:22:37):
Sure, Karin. Where are you a therapist? Where do you live?
Speaker 9 (01:22:41):
Yeah?
Speaker 44 (01:22:42):
I live Downriver, So I run a practice. It's called
Ironwood Psychotherapy Services.
Speaker 6 (01:22:47):
Yeah, okay, yeah yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:22:51):
And if you go, if you search him, you're on there.
You're you're somebody that would be nice to talk to.
Speaker 19 (01:22:58):
I hope.
Speaker 44 (01:22:59):
So I hope my clients leave me better than they
came in.
Speaker 15 (01:23:03):
But yeah, I'm located.
Speaker 44 (01:23:04):
On Google Businesses. So thanks for the shout out.
Speaker 15 (01:23:07):
I really appreciate you guys, and I.
Speaker 6 (01:23:09):
Love your show and we love you too.
Speaker 7 (01:23:11):
Can I tell you, Sonny, I turned my therapist onto everybody.
And it's kind of wild that I never run into
people because so many people have gone there to go
see them. But sometimes the best way to get a
therapist is through somebody who you trust, you know what
I mean? And I reckon I therapist. Yeah, So can
I say something real quick? My sister. This is something interesting.
My sister miscarried and she's a She is a bakery
(01:23:34):
manager at one of our favorite grocery stores. Okay, she
goes in every single day as a bakery manager and
she has to set up the hours and all this
for people that are working there.
Speaker 6 (01:23:43):
And I asked her.
Speaker 7 (01:23:44):
I said, so, how are your coworkers with, you know,
you being off from work because of what happened mahor
And she's like, I don't tell anybody. And I said
to her, I go, you don't tell anybody and she goes, no,
because honestly, nobody, I know, nobody's going to care. And
I said, why do you feel that way? And she goes,
because even if you have a cold or something like
that day, nobody ever says anything to you like, hey,
how you feeling today? Or oh man, you don't you know,
(01:24:06):
you don't look like it looks so good today, or
whatever the deal is. And it was a customer that
came up to her. Then the next day after we
had that conversation and said to her, hey, I can yeah,
she's putting cakes into a refrigerator and said, hey, I
see you every single day, and I can tell there's
something that seems like it's burdening you right now?
Speaker 6 (01:24:27):
Are you doing okay?
Speaker 7 (01:24:29):
And literally my sister just went what it opened up
to this person and started having a conversation, and then
coworkers started asking her and I said, sometimes we don't
as people that every single day we work ten twelve
hours a day or whatever we're doing with people every
day just go hey.
Speaker 6 (01:24:47):
How are you?
Speaker 4 (01:24:48):
Like, for real, how are you doing?
Speaker 6 (01:24:50):
And I will say this to you.
Speaker 7 (01:24:51):
There's a guy that works here at the station and
I'm gonna say his name, but Tom came in studio
for a backstage pass with friends of his and I
had no idea Tom's story. And it was a person
that came that he brought in and another person that
was here that told me about you know, Tom and
all the things that he's got going on in his life.
(01:25:12):
And you know, he's got a beautiful family, but he's
got you know some you know, some child that deals
with a handicap, you know, wife also and stuff. And
this guy, every single day sits in African office right
there with a smile on his face and helps every
single one of these salespeople.
Speaker 6 (01:25:28):
And all of our honor people.
Speaker 7 (01:25:30):
Yeah, and I look at that guy going This guy's
got a life. I mean, I think my life is
tough because my one kid's not coming home and Thanksgiving,
the other's not coming home at Christmas. And I look
at the stuff going on, and I will say this
to you that we should all take the moment and
this is us too on the show. To walk up
to somebody that we normally don't talk to, that maybe
we work with, or we see every single day, the
security guard up at the front, the guy that's sitting
(01:25:52):
across the street that works at the corn beef place,
you know what I mean, a sales rep or traffic person,
and just say how are you doing? Not what can
what are you doing? Or you know, hey, weather's great,
but how are you doing?
Speaker 6 (01:26:05):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (01:26:05):
Never know because you never know if you're going to
be the blessing to that person's day. And honestly, you
never know if that person has anybody that they go
home to that they can actually talk to.
Speaker 6 (01:26:18):
You know, you're great at that County.
Speaker 4 (01:26:19):
You are so good at it.
Speaker 28 (01:26:20):
keV.
Speaker 6 (01:26:22):
Kevin, Kevin's a master of.
Speaker 7 (01:26:25):
We had we've we've had like engineers there forever that honestly,
I was afraid to even talk to because I was
afraid I was gonna get barked at and stuff. And
I look and I see Kevin given like this hand slap.
Speaker 9 (01:26:38):
The lady that sits in her car every morning when
we're walking in.
Speaker 4 (01:26:41):
You're like friends with her.
Speaker 7 (01:26:43):
See so, But that's but that is honestly like that
stuff has to happen.
Speaker 6 (01:26:49):
More like we talk about the things that have to happen.
Speaker 7 (01:26:52):
We got to be the people that And this is
not just us as a show, but I'm talking about
anybody else.
Speaker 6 (01:26:56):
Listen, you gotta we gotta lead by the example of what.
Speaker 9 (01:26:59):
We want you want to And Anna, I think that
you you gave a really good reminder today of if
somebody is trying to process something really heavy on their own.
Speaker 4 (01:27:11):
Let somebody in. Just let somebody in today, agreed. All right,
you're ready.
Speaker 7 (01:27:15):
Second date update on Mojo in the morning. If you
are not getting a call back after you went on
a date, text date to nine five five zero zero.
Speaker 11 (01:27:24):
It's the second date.
Speaker 5 (01:27:25):
Update on Mojo in the morning.
Speaker 6 (01:27:27):
All right.
Speaker 7 (01:27:28):
So Jason is getting ghosted after he went on a date.
Speaker 6 (01:27:34):
What'd you guys do for your date? Jason?
Speaker 29 (01:27:38):
We went to dinner and then we went to the club.
Speaker 7 (01:27:42):
And you thought that everything went great, and she's not
calling you back. We're going to find out what's going on.
Brooke is on the phone with us right now. Jason,
will you say hello to brook o Hey, wait wait
then come on, you want to go on another date
with her? And oh hey, is you're gonna say hey,
I Hey Brooke, how you doing?
Speaker 6 (01:28:03):
What's going on? I haven't heard Hi? Brookhi Brook Brooke.
Speaker 7 (01:28:11):
I guarantee you he sounds more thrilled to be able
to talk to you than he just sounded just a
second ago, because he wants to know exactly what's going on. So,
you guys went on what he said was a great date,
so dinner, went out to a club afterwards?
Speaker 6 (01:28:25):
What is going on?
Speaker 7 (01:28:26):
Why is there not any phone calls or text messages
going back and forth?
Speaker 6 (01:28:30):
And why have you guys not planned a second date?
Speaker 16 (01:28:34):
Oh?
Speaker 17 (01:28:34):
God, he told you we went to a club.
Speaker 6 (01:28:39):
Yes, he just did, just a second ago. You just
heard it.
Speaker 28 (01:28:44):
It was a strip.
Speaker 12 (01:28:45):
Club, a club of sorts.
Speaker 6 (01:28:47):
Where did he take you to?
Speaker 17 (01:28:51):
We went to BT's.
Speaker 7 (01:28:55):
He took you to Bets, which is which is a
strip club? Is where's that at? Is that in Detroit
or Dearborn or something like that?
Speaker 17 (01:29:04):
Does it even matter? I was just so uncomfortable with this, So.
Speaker 4 (01:29:07):
That was not part of the plan.
Speaker 6 (01:29:09):
Did you know?
Speaker 7 (01:29:09):
Did you know you were going to a strip club?
Like when you guys were on your way over there.
Speaker 17 (01:29:15):
He told me that we were going to a club
before we got in, and then it just happened to
be he tricked me. I thought we were just going
to like dance.
Speaker 6 (01:29:28):
So what did you do?
Speaker 7 (01:29:30):
Did you go in sit down at a table or
did you guys say no, I'm not going to do this.
Speaker 6 (01:29:34):
Did you tell him, you know, not into it?
Speaker 7 (01:29:36):
At the moment you walked in and realized that there
were girls dancing on a stage, Well, I was.
Speaker 17 (01:29:43):
Just shocked for a second because I was honestly, I
felt disrespected, But like who goes to who brings like
a date to a strip club as like a surprise?
I no iring, So it took me. It took me
a second, and then I was like bye forever. You know,
(01:30:07):
like why would I? Yeah, I don't. I don't need that.
Speaker 7 (01:30:12):
If you're if you're going to take somebody Jason to
a strip club, I think you got to figure that
they're the type of person that likes going to strip clubs.
What made you think that Brooke was going to be
cool with going to a strip club?
Speaker 29 (01:30:25):
I mean we were, we were having a fun time
at dinner, and it was like a like a like
a forty and sefety thing, and and like I've taken
girls there's like for before after dinner and it's worked
out like great, because it's you know, it worked out.
Speaker 4 (01:30:41):
So great that you're still you're on another first day?
Speaker 6 (01:30:45):
What what is well? Okay? What does great mean?
Speaker 28 (01:30:48):
Like?
Speaker 7 (01:30:48):
What when you say it works out great? Does it
lead to you guys then going home and having sacks?
Is that what you were hoping for?
Speaker 5 (01:30:53):
Yeah?
Speaker 29 (01:30:54):
Okay, because it's like a fun like it's like a
charged energy and like, yeah, I've gone on second dates
with those people too, so so it's like and I
saw I was getting a similar energy on this one.
But she totally just like shut down and wasn't like
have fun, didn't want to have another drink. It just
was like she totally turned and wouldn't tell me why,
(01:31:15):
and like I.
Speaker 7 (01:31:18):
I think she was a little surprised by where you
took her. Amanda wants to comment. What's up?
Speaker 6 (01:31:21):
Amanda?
Speaker 14 (01:31:23):
Hi?
Speaker 19 (01:31:23):
How are you guys?
Speaker 6 (01:31:24):
We're doing good?
Speaker 7 (01:31:24):
By the way, if you want to comment on this,
you can text call me to nine five five zero
zero and Lydia will call you, or you can call
eight four four six six five six by four eight.
Speaker 6 (01:31:34):
We have like four open phone lines right now. What's
going on? Amanda.
Speaker 27 (01:31:38):
So I went on a first date and we went
to C. J. Barrymore's first and then after that he
asked what I wanted.
Speaker 37 (01:31:45):
To do, so I had brought up going.
Speaker 17 (01:31:48):
We went to Players and I had the time in
my life.
Speaker 7 (01:31:50):
But Barrymore, can you Shan and explain C. J. Barrymore's
and what is personal?
Speaker 4 (01:31:57):
Hell? No, I'm joking. It's like it's like an indoor
outdoor amusement park arcade. Okay, you know all the thing
and Players?
Speaker 6 (01:32:06):
What is Players Club? Both have attractions?
Speaker 28 (01:32:10):
Yeah?
Speaker 22 (01:32:11):
Okay, but no, I did have fun, but I do
believe she should have been asked if that's not her
thing now what she's into, then it can be very awkward.
Speaker 7 (01:32:21):
Shannon, you don't seem like the type that goes to
a strip club, but in it maybe I don't know.
Speaker 9 (01:32:26):
But would you if somebody took you there as like
a surprise on a first date?
Speaker 12 (01:32:30):
No, not on a first date. I have before though.
Speaker 7 (01:32:34):
Do you want to be told, hey, we're going to
a strip club ahead of time, not surprised when you
pull up in there, like.
Speaker 12 (01:32:38):
Ask me you down to go to the strip club? Yeah,
let's go.
Speaker 7 (01:32:42):
That's kind of what you should have done. Jason. Hold
on a second here, Stephanie wants to comment with us.
What's up Stephanie? That, by the way, is the same
thing that Brooke was saying when she went to the
strip club first time, long time, last time.
Speaker 6 (01:33:00):
What's up, Stephanie.
Speaker 3 (01:33:02):
I I was just gonna say, I'd probably just go
and have a good time. Damn pocket some dollars. Give
the lady some dollars. Make sure.
Speaker 6 (01:33:13):
You're saying Brooks should have just gone with it and
had fun.
Speaker 3 (01:33:17):
Yeah, oh yeah, for sure, have paun dance with the
ladies and be like, hey, he's got the money.
Speaker 6 (01:33:21):
But that's not her thing though, So I mean, oh, well, yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:33:26):
I guess I didn't hear that comment because I was
waiting on the phone for you.
Speaker 7 (01:33:29):
No, no, So well, she's she said she was surprised
by it, like she thought she was going to just
go dance at a club. She didn't think she was
going to go to a strip club. And she's she
sounds like she's not into going to strip clubs.
Speaker 3 (01:33:42):
Okay, Well, I would definitely if she would have gone in,
and I would have definitely just.
Speaker 11 (01:33:46):
Had fun with it for sure.
Speaker 7 (01:33:48):
Yeah, maybe you guys should go on a day. We'll
set you up with the phone number. What's up, Phoenix.
Speaker 42 (01:33:54):
I think that the problem is that they just didn't
come to Subis to see.
Speaker 6 (01:33:58):
Me, Phoenix the stripper. What's up Phoenix?
Speaker 8 (01:34:04):
Yes?
Speaker 23 (01:34:05):
And also, by the way, I feel like I haven't
seen you in there either.
Speaker 6 (01:34:09):
I know has been busy, but maybe this weekend. I
don't know.
Speaker 12 (01:34:14):
Tell's the food better?
Speaker 16 (01:34:17):
Actually we don't have food that part. I'm not gonna then.
Speaker 6 (01:34:20):
It's a full on.
Speaker 23 (01:34:21):
Broth fire though, And I will be there this weekend
Friday and Saturday night, Phoenix.
Speaker 7 (01:34:26):
I was gonna choose that as our end of the
year holiday party location.
Speaker 6 (01:34:30):
But now that you guys.
Speaker 16 (01:34:30):
Don't have what, we can order it.
Speaker 6 (01:34:33):
We'll get okay, the.
Speaker 7 (01:34:37):
You know, to the main stage. Hold on a second, Levita,
what's up Levita?
Speaker 18 (01:34:42):
Hey?
Speaker 12 (01:34:43):
Good morning, long time, long time.
Speaker 45 (01:34:45):
Hey, Hey family, Jason, you said you've taken other girls there?
Speaker 12 (01:34:51):
Are you a pip?
Speaker 8 (01:34:54):
I mean, okay, what's an answer?
Speaker 29 (01:35:00):
Wow, It's not like I do that every time, but like,
if I'm feeling there, like I'll go to a I'll
go to like more of a regular club. But that's
the vibe I'm feeling. But I was feeling like the like,
let's have a fun sexy time with brokes.
Speaker 19 (01:35:10):
So it's not like always.
Speaker 9 (01:35:14):
You need to make sure that that's the right next
destination on the date.
Speaker 6 (01:35:19):
You know, love you, Levita live in La Vida Loca. Hey,
remember that? What's Michelle?
Speaker 3 (01:35:28):
Good morning?
Speaker 6 (01:35:29):
Mojo, good morning?
Speaker 3 (01:35:30):
Like we need some sort of warning for like kids.
Speaker 18 (01:35:34):
Hey, we're gonna talk about strip clubs. My sixth old
little boys want to know what a strip club was?
Speaker 6 (01:35:40):
What did what did you say?
Speaker 22 (01:35:43):
I said it was a place where you go and
get strips of meat.
Speaker 19 (01:35:47):
We kind of meat?
Speaker 6 (01:35:50):
Michelle? Are they in the car with you still?
Speaker 11 (01:35:53):
Oh?
Speaker 15 (01:35:53):
No, thank god, I just dropped them off.
Speaker 6 (01:35:56):
Wait what kind of meat? Did you tell them? The lame?
Oh god? What's up?
Speaker 7 (01:36:05):
Rachel? Hi, it's Mojo in the morning. We're talking, by
the way, morning for all the parents about strip clubs.
Speaker 6 (01:36:10):
What's up?
Speaker 11 (01:36:10):
Hi?
Speaker 6 (01:36:12):
First?
Speaker 41 (01:36:13):
First of all, first time, many decades, a long time.
Speaker 4 (01:36:16):
With thank you, thank you.
Speaker 41 (01:36:23):
So My thing is I feel like that you only
live once, right, even on a first date. Why not
enjoy your entire life and golf? I agree with the
other girls, So have fun, dance with the trippers.
Speaker 23 (01:36:33):
And if she doesn't me.
Speaker 41 (01:36:35):
I feel like it's a little bit of insecurities within herself.
Speaker 8 (01:36:38):
Yeah, but say, for example, you don't like amusement parks,
you don't like roller coasters, and they take you there
for your first day, you don't want to ride any
of the rides.
Speaker 6 (01:36:47):
It's not that you don't know how to have a
good time, it's just not your thing.
Speaker 41 (01:36:51):
It doesn't have to be her thing. But why not
tell a little bit out of your elements. Why not
get a little bit out of your comfort zone?
Speaker 6 (01:36:58):
That I agree?
Speaker 8 (01:36:59):
But if she don't, won't breast flopping in our face
and asks a lot and left and right.
Speaker 4 (01:37:03):
I'm not mad at.
Speaker 6 (01:37:09):
Yeah, I'm sorry. Would you want to say, Brooke a.
Speaker 17 (01:37:12):
Surprise strip club?
Speaker 14 (01:37:14):
Is just no?
Speaker 17 (01:37:15):
This is not a no, absolutely not. I can't you know.
Speaker 22 (01:37:19):
Maybe that's the other girls, but this is not what
I signed out far No, absolutely not. I just I can't.
I can't you know, the strippers, but not my first date.
Speaker 11 (01:37:31):
Okay.
Speaker 6 (01:37:31):
Phil wants to comment, what's up? Phil? High?
Speaker 11 (01:37:34):
Hey?
Speaker 6 (01:37:34):
Mojoe, how you doing? I'm doing fantastic? What's going on? Phil?
Speaker 11 (01:37:38):
Hey?
Speaker 32 (01:37:38):
I was just gonna say that C J.
Speaker 46 (01:37:40):
Barrymore's complayers they've got similar attractions.
Speaker 5 (01:37:43):
You can motor boat at the stripper.
Speaker 4 (01:37:48):
He's so proud of that.
Speaker 6 (01:37:50):
Look at that.
Speaker 7 (01:37:51):
Hold on, hold on, let me, let me, let me
get you some some something to make that better.
Speaker 6 (01:37:56):

Speaker 11 (01:38:51):
In the Morning's Dirty on the thirty.
Speaker 7 (01:38:53):
We're gonna get you caught up on what's trending in
the Dirty on the thirty with Shannon.
Speaker 9 (01:38:56):
So this government shut down could be over as of tonight.
Housee or Mike Johnson instructed lawmakers to return to Washington
and the vote is set to take place today.
Speaker 4 (01:39:08):
The President's House is going.
Speaker 20 (01:39:10):
To vote, and I think they're going to vote positively.
I think most people want to see it opened.
Speaker 4 (01:39:15):
So we could get some news here in a couple
of hours.
Speaker 20 (01:39:18):
Now.
Speaker 9 (01:39:18):
Everybody is still going what the heck is happening with
the airports with my flight? So airlines are still from
how I understand this, going to need time to adjust
their schedules and staffing even if the shutdown ends today.
So these flight delays, the cancelations, expect them to continue
(01:39:40):
for a little bit of time. I know there were already,
you know, a couple dozen cancelations at DTW this morning,
so make sure to check your flight. But I mean
record numbers of travelers expected for the Thanksgiving holiday, and yeah,
this could still affect some of those flights.
Speaker 6 (01:39:57):
There is a good thing I guests with this.
Speaker 7 (01:40:00):
I mean, I know that there's a lot of uncertainty
because of there's still no word on what they're going
to do with health care. But a lot of those
people that got fired, that got doged, many of them
are coming back and getting paid, So it's not just
the people that have been not getting paid. So that
was one of the negotiations that some of the people
that got laid off. So I know that that's a
(01:40:21):
thing that's happening. And then you heard that name all
the time, Chuck Schumer. Have you seen what his own
party is saying about him now? Like they're talking about
I guess he's the leader of the Democratic Party in
the Senate, and people are not happy with him because
they feel like he screwed this whole thing up with
some of the negotiations and stuff, and so they're saying
(01:40:44):
that he potentially this might be his kind of fallout
and this might have ruined his political career. So a
lot of people are saying that we should anyway have
gotten rid of him because he was an older guy.
We got some people like Mitch McConnell is still a Senate,
he's auditor.
Speaker 4 (01:41:01):
Is he done to be done?
Speaker 14 (01:41:03):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:41:03):
Just go now?
Speaker 7 (01:41:04):
Though, Like if you're a guy like his, mind going already.
So you got a guy that's falling all the time.
He got exactly, it's crazy. So the government shutdown that
took place forty some days, is that what they said?
Speaker 6 (01:41:17):
The second long days? Stupid shifty days? The chambers should
never ever be shut down. You were in the United
States of America. The idea that we shut down it's crazy.
Speaker 4 (01:41:27):
James Meanerby can you best know him?
Speaker 9 (01:41:29):
I think for playing Dawson on Dawson's Creek is facing
a really tough fight. He was diagnosed with stage three
colo rectal cancer last year. Have you guys seen any
photos of him lately? He does not look healthy. James
Van Dawson from Jostons Vanderby. Yes, yeah.
Speaker 23 (01:41:46):
So.
Speaker 9 (01:41:47):
To help with the cost of his treatment, his treatment
and to help support others who have similarly been affected
by cancer, he's partnering with prop Store to auction off
some memorabilia from his career to get money. That makes
me say props, wardrobe pieces from Dawson's Creek Varsity Blues.
Speaker 4 (01:42:03):
That movie he was in.
Speaker 9 (01:42:05):
All of the proceeds going to go towards his own treatment,
also other families burdened by cancer. Some of the items
include if You're a Dawson's fan, the necklace that Dawson
gave Joey for prom that's estimated to fetch about fifty
thousand dollars, and then his pilot episode outfit from the
very first episode, which was they're thinking they're gonna get
like four or five grand for that.
Speaker 7 (01:42:23):
He didn't make enough money over the years. I would
think that the Screen Actors Guild would take care of
you like those union.
Speaker 9 (01:42:30):
Yeah, and this one viral yesterday. Everybody was sending it
to me. So last year, Ariana Grande sat down for
one of those famous Vanity fair Lie detector tests and
she was asked by her Wicked Code star Cynthia Arrivo
whether she believed the moon landing was fake? This conspiracy theory.
Speaker 4 (01:42:48):
What do you take me for? No?
Speaker 6 (01:42:52):
No, inconclusive.
Speaker 4 (01:42:54):
This is a same It's hilarious. It's hilarious daily.
Speaker 5 (01:43:00):
I think it's saying no, not till now.
Speaker 4 (01:43:02):
Until somebody explained this to me.
Speaker 9 (01:43:04):
But her saying inconclusive was a thing. So fast forward
to this week. She doesn't light detect her test again,
this time given to her by her Wicked coastar Bowen Yang,
and her response is what has gone viral?
Speaker 5 (01:43:16):
Do you believe in the moon.
Speaker 27 (01:43:18):
In the moon, you know, I hear you're not helping you.
Speaker 4 (01:43:24):
The truth is, I don't give a rat. I'm worried
about Earth. We're burning alive. Thank you about the moon.
Speaker 8 (01:43:33):
As a a response, though, I will say it is
a little weird. I'm gonna lie.
Speaker 30 (01:43:39):
The conspiracy theory, nah, just that we ain't been backing
so long today say it's because of money, but like
we spend a lot of money and other places doing
other things.
Speaker 6 (01:43:48):
I had to google.
Speaker 8 (01:43:49):
We went six times between nineteen sixty nine and nineteen
seventy two.
Speaker 6 (01:43:53):
We was going in that bitch twice a year. For
a minute, we.
Speaker 7 (01:43:56):
Haven't gone on the moon. We've been back since seventy two. Bro,
have we realized nothing good on the moon? Like there's
nothing there?
Speaker 6 (01:44:02):
We go? You don't believe that we did set They
say it's because of money.
Speaker 8 (01:44:07):
They says it's incredibly tremendously expensive and the tens of
billions of dollars to go, But we spend that, you know,
give them money out of the country doing whatever the
hell we want.
Speaker 9 (01:44:16):
Or if you miss anything from today, so go back
and check out the podcast on the free iHeart radio app.
Speaker 25 (01:44:22):
This is something in the Dirty on the thirty on
our podcast now at Mojo in the Morning dot com.
Speaker 29 (01:44:28):
You're called the monitor.
Speaker 6 (01:44:31):
She got it spelled out fanatically for me. It is.
Speaker 7 (01:44:37):
It says, it says z E I N A B
and then she spells it out fanatically z A Y
N dash A B or.
Speaker 6 (01:44:48):
Z e E. What's you gonna say? I'm gonna say, hey,
what's your name?
Speaker 4 (01:44:53):
No, you gotta try.
Speaker 6 (01:44:54):
What's your name? And where you from? Try? Should I say? Zenab?
Speaker 34 (01:45:02):

Heights beauty?

I do.
Speaker 16 (01:45:15):

Speaker 6 (01:45:16):

Speaker 7 (01:45:17):
The wildest thing about that place is grabbing a big
old hunk of raw meat and going in the back
and having that thing cooked like just a beautiful meal.
Speaker 5 (01:45:28):
It's so good.
Speaker 6 (01:45:29):

to take a little vacation day.
Speaker 15 (01:46:20):

I see my managers walking in as we see.
Speaker 6 (01:46:26):

Speaker 15 (01:46:30):
It's not twenty minutes I'm gonna send twenty minutes in
my car.
Speaker 7 (01:46:33):
Oh yeah, that's only I have any They may ever
done that where they pulled into work and go, screw this,
I'm going home.
Speaker 6 (01:46:39):
That's today. And then and then they get.
Speaker 7 (01:46:41):
Called by the people that they work with, going, hey,
I saw you sitting in the party line.
Speaker 6 (01:46:45):
You hang on the phone, bak Have you really? Oh
you just go home during your break?
Speaker 17 (01:46:51):
No, I say outside the car in my break time.
Speaker 16 (01:46:54):
And then they called me in to come in early
to help out I'm like, no, I forgot thirty minute.
He has got enough people.
Speaker 6 (01:47:02):
That's right. Figure it out. What kind of work do
you do?
Speaker 17 (01:47:06):
I do physical therapy work.
Speaker 7 (01:47:08):
Okay, all right, well it's nice to have her. I'll
tell you this man. Physical therapy has gotten me through

Speaker 25 (01:47:44):
My tickets now a ticket master, and we'll see you
at jingle Ball. I hate the cold almost as much
as the person who sneezed on me and got me said.
Speaker 6 (01:47:53):
This is Mojo in the morning. All right, we're back.
I Ronnie mentioned something.
Speaker 7 (01:47:59):
I did it during our commercial break in Detroit, but
I don't think anybody heard it because it was literally
probably at the end of a twelve minute commercial break.
So I want to mention something real quick, and this
is a shout out to Cam and everybody over at Kroger.
Cam Barrett's the head of you know, communications and public
(01:48:20):
affairs for Kroger, but also he is a proud member
of our Mojo in the Morning Breaking and Entering Christmas
Wish team. Year after year, Lydia and I call upon
people like him and Anthony Laverde, Ryan and Samantha lash Chelsea,
my wife, Shannon, Tony Trevado, Kevin and you know, Bianca Zach.
(01:48:46):
We all come together and we all help out our
breaking it Entering Christmas Wish. Well, Cam, you are working
for an amazing company, but you're also the guy that's
making stuff like this happen. And I want Kroger to
get wreckedcognized for the fact that Kroger has given back
to the community with their zero Hunger, zero Waste initiative.
Kroger has been fighting zero Hunger, zero waste since twenty seventeen.
(01:49:10):
It's an initiative that came here from here in Michigan,
back when Rachel and everybody was running things over there
and now cam taking that lead and providing more than
eighteen million meals through both food and financial donations to
local food banks.
Speaker 6 (01:49:26):
Well, recently, because.
Speaker 7 (01:49:28):
Of everything that's been going on in our country, they
needed to step up to help out Gleaner's Food Bank.
So they stepped up with a fifty three foot truckload
of food to Gleaner's Community Food Bank, helping families across
southeastern Michigan. That is a donation of thirty thousand meals
to Michigan families.
Speaker 6 (01:49:47):
Thirty thousand. Now, what is part of this whole thing.
Speaker 7 (01:49:51):
The part of the whole thing is delivering things like
canned foods, canned meat, canned fruits and vegetables, dry cereal, oatmeal, rice,
pass as, beings, all the rest of that stuff. So
they do this every single year. But the way that you,
as a customer of Kroger, or if you were going
to be a customer of somewhere else, can help go
to Kroger and you can round up. You don't realize
(01:50:14):
that that simple round up, which a lot of times
people will go, I'm not rounding up, that's stupid. That
just sounds dumb. You mean, like when you pay, when
you pay, if you just round up and it could
be something as you know, little as Yeah, you don't
realize that that's part of the reasoning why they're able
to do what they're doing by being able to feed,
(01:50:37):
you know, eighteen million meals since twenty seventeen to people.
And so when you are saying to yourself, I'm not
rounding up, that's just another one of those things where
it's going to cost me money and that's money out.
Speaker 6 (01:50:48):
Of my pocket.
Speaker 4 (01:50:49):
That's what I actually do.
Speaker 6 (01:50:50):
You're making a difference.
Speaker 7 (01:50:51):
Yeah, And also there's other great options that you can
do too, when you're at a local Kroger location where
you can say, you know what, this is the holidays.
I want to you know, instead of just feeding my
face I want to be able to help feed some
other people too. So shout out to Cam. Thank you
Cam for all your incredible work that you do. Do
you know that every family that gets a wish granted
(01:51:12):
from breaking it in Christmas wish gets their entire kitchen
loaded with food because of Kroger and Kroger Delivery has.
Speaker 6 (01:51:20):
Been years to be able to do that.
Speaker 4 (01:51:21):
For years and years they've done.
Speaker 7 (01:51:24):
We are doing a Thanksgiving meal where we're going to
be sharing saying Thanksgiving with you, giving thanks and giving
you then a free turkey and gift card to Kroger.
And we're going to do that right after the five
lies to tell your mom, which is in ten minutes.
Speaker 6 (01:51:43):
I was going to you got right there on that tone.
All right, It's Mojo on the Morning Show.
Speaker 7 (01:51:51):
Phone numbers eight four four Mojo Live eight four four
six six five sixty five four eight is our telephone number.
Speaker 6 (01:51:56):
What is Alexa calling up for?
Speaker 16 (01:51:58):
Here?
Speaker 11 (01:51:58):
Hi?
Speaker 6 (01:51:58):

Speaker 28 (01:52:00):

Speaker 6 (01:52:02):
I'm good? What's going on?
Speaker 28 (01:52:05):
Hey? I was calling in about going to work and
calling off. Yeah. I used to work third shift for
about five years, and one night I was talking to
my mom on the way to I worked at Whirlpool
here in Findlay, Ohio. Yeah, and uh I got there
and I'm looking at the doors and I'm talking to
my mom. I'm like, Mom, I'll call you right back.
(01:52:27):
So I called called offline. I call her back. She's like, oh,
what you have to do. It's like, Mam, I just
called off where. She's like, you just drovel there and everything,
you know. I'm like, yeah, I got ready and feeling
out lunch pack. Oh, you know, it does happen. I've
also done it when I went to fitness. I've gotten
to the parking lot and sat there on my phone
and for you note I was, I fell asleep, turned around,
(01:52:50):
went back home.
Speaker 6 (01:52:50):
Yeah, I do that in Planet Venness.
Speaker 7 (01:52:54):
I'll go to Planet Fitness and I'll say, you know,
I'm gonna sit in my car for a second, and
I'll go in there and just a little bit, just
like it might be a little crowded, and there's honestly
only a couple of people in the whole place. And
then I'm there for a little bit and I'm going,
maybe I don't want to go it's so bad.
Speaker 28 (01:53:08):
I've done that. I've done it a lot of times
in the winter time because I'm like, man, it's too cold.
If I open this door, I'm not going outside.
Speaker 7 (01:53:15):
Can I pretty much get an idea from you? You
sound like a very non committed man, you don't. You
sound like a guy that Whirlpool probably is not enjoying
on your on their employee staff.
Speaker 28 (01:53:29):
Oh you know what. They ended up firing me shortly
after that doing that in the morning. And I love
your shows to it. I listened to it all three times.
Speaker 6 (01:53:39):
You play it so sore. I love it.
Speaker 7 (01:53:43):
I'm like this whole thing and I'm going this guy,
there's no way he's still working for us.
Speaker 28 (01:53:48):
Guys, this guy no, no, no, would tell.
Speaker 6 (01:53:51):

wants to know if you want.
Speaker 28 (01:53:55):

actually do a sports page on say.
Speaker 6 (01:54:00):
Lydia would love to have you as an associate. Lydia.
Speaker 7 (01:54:03):
Would you love to have Alexa as one of our
mojo in the morning show, like.
Speaker 28 (01:54:08):
You know, work for a radio station. I think that
would be wild.
Speaker 7 (01:54:13):
Yeah, you sitting in that parking lot for about ten minutes,
I'm not coming in, or that alarm goes off at
three in the morning and you.
Speaker 28 (01:54:21):
Go, I'm actually up at four in the morning, door
dashing now, So you'd be okay, okay, you would be surprised.
Like gas stations you go to and then McDonald's now
is opening by?
Speaker 6 (01:54:36):
They wait, say that name place again, Say McDonald's.
Speaker 28 (01:54:41):
Again, McDonald's.
Speaker 4 (01:54:43):
Are you Canadian?
Speaker 6 (01:54:44):

Speaker 30 (01:54:48):

Speaker 6 (01:55:21):

Speaker 28 (01:55:31):

your resume. Okay, when you're looking for a job, Alexa,

Speaker 6 (01:56:10):

Speaker 21 (01:56:12):
Detroit Whisky, three grade stations, one stupid show.
Speaker 2 (01:56:21):
This is Mojo in the Morning Live.
Speaker 6 (01:56:26):
All right Mojo in the Morning show.
Speaker 8 (01:56:29):
Injuries to the family who got injured, my cousin Elena.
This is back back back in the day when I
was a wee little lad. I don't even think I
was like ten years old. So, like we mentioned, my
mom's birthday was on Sunday and a lot of our
family came to church. Elena was one of those family
members that came to church. And I've mentioned Elena before
(01:56:51):
when my grandma beat her ass with a broom. Yeah,
yess yes, Elena is like one of my favorite cousins.
Speaker 6 (01:56:57):
We spent some time.
Speaker 8 (01:56:58):
We spent a lot of time with my and my memory.
We lived with her for a couple of years and
Elena lived with her as well. And growing up with Elena,
that was like that was my dog. Like Elena is
a few years older than me, that was my favorite cousin,
used to do everything with. Anymore, it's still my favorite cousin.
Gerard kind of like replaced her because like I'm older,
but like Elena is like that's my dog.
Speaker 6 (01:57:19):
She'll always have a special place in my heart.
Speaker 8 (01:57:21):
So we get to talking just as we always do
about man, remember Elena, Like we used to go to
the carnivals, like Elena was like my person. Melinda, my sister,
used to go with her sister Brandy, but Elena was
always my person. So we're reminiscent. We're talking about a
lot of stuff. She was like, you remember when you
bit a hole in my stomach. I said, what, Like
that doesn't seem like something I would forget. She's like, yes,
(01:57:43):
you bit a hole in my stomach. It was the
only time we've ever fought, our first and last time.
I'm like, dog, I do not remember this at all,
Like what happened?
Speaker 6 (01:57:50):
She said.
Speaker 8 (01:57:51):
I was young and I was always like a happy child.
But once like you took my toy or something like that.
She said, she took something and I chased her around
the hall, got upstairs, cornered her, and I don't know
if she tried to lunge at me or hold me,
but I went pit bull, lockjaw on her stomach and
big and would not let go. She lifted up her
(01:58:12):
stomach in church. It's a dent in her stomach on
one side. Oh my god, where you can literally see
like it's not it's not like one side is not
like the other, like you can see like indention literally
in her stomach where it's like it's dentit.
Speaker 6 (01:58:26):
Kevin, what is that all about?
Speaker 8 (01:58:29):
I don't I was young and that was probably the
only thing I could do, was like bite her.
Speaker 6 (01:58:33):
She said, I locked on. I wouldn't let go. She
was screaming and crying.
Speaker 8 (01:58:36):
My grandma had to come upstairs with the jaws of
life and try me up and like it was a
real thing.
Speaker 6 (01:58:42):
Bro, can you actually bite somebody's skin off? Like? Has
that ever happened?
Speaker 7 (01:58:47):
Had somebody like like I hear I hear people like, uh,
somebody said that they got a like attactoves and story
in New York where a person was like walking down
the street and New York and like the Bronx or whatever,
and I don't know if it was homeless guy or
whatever bit ended up biting the person. Adults, I'm going
(01:59:09):
straight to the hospital.
Speaker 6 (01:59:10):
Yeah, I'm getting every shot in the medium. I'm gonna
be like, you give me technic, you give me COVID,
you give me a flu shot, you give me whatever
the drink. Yeah, raby shot. Have you ever injured like
or got injured by a family member?
Speaker 11 (01:59:26):
All?
Speaker 6 (01:59:27):
Yeah, you have.
Speaker 12 (01:59:28):
Me and my sister used to fight. Yeah, shout out, Alison.
I remember we were fighting when we were both getting
ready in our bathroom and I took my curly iron
and I sizzled her.
Speaker 6 (01:59:39):
What the hell?
Speaker 12 (01:59:40):
I know it was really bad. I got craped.
Speaker 6 (01:59:44):
Oh my god, you sizzled her skin. She made me mad,
like on her shoulder or like her arm done. She
prob the star ras. Wow.
Speaker 12 (01:59:54):
She used to push me down the stairs like we
really fought.
Speaker 4 (01:59:58):
We were a big hair puller. But that was like,
you know, that's normal with sisters.
Speaker 7 (02:00:03):
Wish were you in trouble? Did you get in trouble
for that?
Speaker 4 (02:00:07):
Of course?
Speaker 6 (02:00:09):
What kind of a punishment did you get for that one?
Speaker 12 (02:00:12):
Probably no phone?
Speaker 6 (02:00:13):
If I had Oh my god, that's crazy.
Speaker 4 (02:00:19):
Those burns hurt really what.
Speaker 6 (02:00:21):
I had in my hand, I don't know, it's just
what I got a lot of, like iron scars.
Speaker 12 (02:00:25):
To this day, I don't think biting someone had much better.
I mean, you, like Cannibal.
Speaker 6 (02:00:30):
Bro, you took your iron grilled cheese her head.
Speaker 12 (02:00:36):
Flash in your mouth.
Speaker 7 (02:00:38):
Pancho's brother stapled him? Where did he wait? Where did
he sto?
Speaker 6 (02:00:44):
She didn't?
Speaker 32 (02:00:45):
I had to go get staples.
Speaker 7 (02:00:48):
Oh, I thought, wait, what did your what did he do?
I thought he stayed.
Speaker 6 (02:00:51):
I thought he actually put a stapler through you.
Speaker 32 (02:00:54):
No, he's back in the day. I I don't know
if you guys remember what Joe's were. Yeah, yeah, they
used to come with a green, hard, green plastic case.
My brother strew that at me up one day and
I had to go get stables in the back of
my head because I would not give him a toy.
Speaker 7 (02:01:11):
You Oh my god, he was that much into that toy.
Speaker 6 (02:01:17):
Wow, man, what's up, Paris? Are you doing?
Speaker 11 (02:01:22):
How you doing?
Speaker 6 (02:01:22):
Yeah?
Speaker 31 (02:01:23):
When you guys said this, I reflect it every morning
when I look in the mirror, I see a bike
mark from this kid. I used to hitlock wrestling because
I took Marshal Larks and he did it when I
was like eight or nine years old, and I can
still see it to this day and I'm fifty three.
Speaker 6 (02:01:37):
Oh my god, you still got the mark.
Speaker 23 (02:01:40):
I still have the mark.
Speaker 4 (02:01:44):
Top and bottom.
Speaker 6 (02:01:46):
He said, Wow, hold on, Sidney, what does your brother
do to you?
Speaker 19 (02:01:51):
We're standing in the kitchen and soul was done because
I was cooking.
Speaker 33 (02:01:55):
He stuck a metal fork on the fire and then.
Speaker 16 (02:01:57):
Stuck it to my arm.
Speaker 40 (02:01:58):
Oh my god, he's got so much is he in
jail right now, he's not.

Speaker 6 (02:04:28):
You don't know.
Speaker 28 (02:04:30):

First time on time? Okay, So it all started out
when I was born. My mom called and talked to
my grandma with my brother and he. She said, I'm
bringing your sister home and he said, no, we were there.
Speaker 6 (02:06:16):
He was too.
Speaker 3 (02:06:17):
A couple of years later, he took me behind the
chair and cut off half of my hair. Then he
closed me up in a like a stroller and cut
the tip of my finger off. And I was sipping
on yep, I was sipping on a kitchen chair and
he pulled it out for me. And I've got scar
on my chins and a star on my cheeks from
both times when he did it, and had to get pidgets.
Speaker 11 (02:06:37):
And then he put gasoline.
Speaker 3 (02:06:39):
Oh, he did not want me around. He put root beer,
or he put rat poisoning in some room beer and
had me drink it. The last thing he did, yep,
I had to have my thought comb twice. The last
thing he did when we were.
Speaker 28 (02:06:52):
Probably I don't know.
Speaker 3 (02:06:54):
I was probably five and he was probably seven, he
put gastline in an orangeice jug in the pour it
into a cup and head and drink.
Speaker 4 (02:07:02):
Oh my god, poor mom.
Speaker 3 (02:07:06):

That's like Jeffrey Dahmer.
Speaker 1 (02:07:27):

young age of fifty nine.

I didn't see cancer. I thought it was like a
kidney he had kidney pilger or something like that. I
don't know exactly what it was. But he was off
the air last week, like he was getting he was
getting ready for the taping of Thursday show, and in
the beginning of the taping of a show he got pulled.
And then the speculation came, oh, he's getting pulled again
by ABC, because I remember that whole thing that happened,
(02:20:32):
uh with Trump and Kirk and stuff like that. But
then he was off for a while and kind of
leaving it to speculation. But I guess he had been
sick for a while and he got word at the
hospital that the end was near, and I think he
might have died then.
Speaker 6 (02:20:46):
So that's sad.
Speaker 9 (02:20:47):

Speaker 6 (02:21:25):
God for vid? You didn't know?
Speaker 7 (02:21:28):
Did you see what Trump did for the vet's yesterday?
And he was on the Pat McAfee show. Did you
see Pat McAfee yesterday?
Speaker 4 (02:21:35):
I had had Trump on no, but I saw, well
I saw this clip.
Speaker 6 (02:21:38):
So yeah, he had.
Speaker 7 (02:21:40):
He had a bunch of h He was broadcasting live
from a military bunch of marines and he was hanging
out with Pat McAfee on two.
Speaker 6 (02:21:49):
Let me, mister president, have you ever done an ooh
rah to a bunch of marines?
Speaker 1 (02:21:55):
Not the kind of I just heard.
Speaker 20 (02:21:57):
I just heard a level of professionalism with the way
they did it that I don't think anybody can match it,
to be honest, that's very impressive.
Speaker 6 (02:22:08):
Mister president. Why don't you drop an urrah real quick?
Speaker 4 (02:22:11):
I will urah.
Speaker 7 (02:22:15):
Okaying about that, and he did his normal interview that Pat.
Does you ever watched Pat McAfee show here and there?
Pat McAfee as on ESPN, but he does his show.
Speaker 6 (02:22:26):
He asked uh.
Speaker 7 (02:22:27):
They asked a question to uh Trump about football coaches,
and does Trump believe that any of the football coaches,
including including our favorite coach in the world, Dan Campbell,
could ever be president of the United States.
Speaker 48 (02:22:41):
I appreciate that, mister President. Obviously, you look around the NFL.
There's a lot of great leaders that are coaches here.
Have you ever looked and thought like one of these
guys who would be a great president for the United
States of America. We got Dan Campbell, we got Mike Fray,
but we've got Matt Lafloor last night.
Speaker 6 (02:22:54):
You ever think of these guys.
Speaker 48 (02:22:55):
Who could be a great president by the way they were,
You know, we had the Philadelphia team here, and that
he's some coach.
Speaker 6 (02:23:02):
Too, by the way to san.
Speaker 20 (02:23:05):
He's great.
Speaker 6 (02:23:06):
They're all.
Speaker 24 (02:23:08):
He had a lot of talents of people.
Speaker 20 (02:23:09):
I've often thought, you know, strategy wise, you see some
of the good strategy. Every once in a while, you
see some pretty bad strategy too. We could name plenty
of that, but you see strategy. I've often said, we
go out or we get the best four or five coaches, put.
Speaker 6 (02:23:23):
Him in a room. If you go into war and you.
Speaker 20 (02:23:25):
Use them as because they do it. Ultimately, it's all
about strategy, it's about attack. It's about you know what angle,
Give me the angle of attack. I'll bet you some
of these coaches would make great warring generals, and I
would say I would not.
Speaker 7 (02:23:41):
Would you ever think Dan Campbell could ever be past
coaching in political office? If he wins a Super Bowl,
that man could run for any office in the state
he'd win.
Speaker 6 (02:23:51):
I'll be he will want to.
Speaker 7 (02:23:52):
You don't think so Dan Campbell, By the way, when
you look at the stuff he did, by the fact
that he called the offensive play this past weekend, and
the way that he's able to do that as well
as coach team.
Speaker 6 (02:24:05):
You know how hard that is to do that.
Speaker 7 (02:24:08):
You don't like Literally, football has got a ton of
moving parts, and there are not many coaches that could
call as a head coach the offensive plays. I think
Sean McVay might be the only other coach that actually
has the ability to do that and do that well.
Speaker 6 (02:24:25):
Do you think that?
Speaker 7 (02:24:25):
Do you think that Campbell regrets that they didn't offer
a ton of money to Ben Johnson to say, nah,
we just put forty four on a had top. But
I think we are I think honestly we do. We
regret Ben Johnson leaving. I don't think money would have
kept him. I think he was ready to go and
lead his own team.
Speaker 6 (02:24:41):
I don't know.
Speaker 7 (02:24:42):
You become the heir apparent to Dan Campbell and you say, hey,
this is going to be your franchise afterwards?
Speaker 8 (02:24:47):
How long are you willing to wait? Though Dan Dan
got another team in them this at least this current
offensive coordinator was a John Morton or James John Morton.
I don't think he's it.
Speaker 7 (02:25:00):
You can't now have him go back calling plays after
Dan Campbell took over one days.
Speaker 6 (02:25:04):
I don't think so.
Speaker 9 (02:25:06):
Updating this where I think I did in this dirty
at this time yesterday, it looks like Kylie Dinner is
shutting down all of the rumors that she and Timothy
Shallowmy broke up. She liked an Instagram video posted by
Timmy yesterday. The post was the trailer for his new movie,
Marty Supreme.
Speaker 4 (02:25:23):
And what do you plan to do if this whole
dream of yours doesn't work?
Speaker 12 (02:25:26):
It doesn't even enter my consciousness.
Speaker 9 (02:25:28):
That thumbs up gave fans all they needed to know
that there is no trouble in Paradise and clearing up
another relationship rumor really fast, Ariana Grande and her Wicked
coastar Ethan Slater allegedly we're headed for a split. I
heard this a million different places, but new confirmation shows
they are very much still together or at least trying
(02:25:48):
to work it out. The chatter started when they appeared
at the UK premiere of Wicked for Good and they
were standing on like opposite eye opposite sides of the
cast photo op.
Speaker 4 (02:25:57):
On the red carpet.
Speaker 9 (02:25:59):
A move sparked and fuel the rumors that were already
kind of in progress that a split was in the works,
that they had called it quits. But backstage witnesses tell me, nope,
not true at all.
Speaker 4 (02:26:10):
They were holding hands and there.
Speaker 9 (02:26:11):
Was lots of PDA the entire time away from the cameras.
They're very much still back back together together. They're still
very much together. For anything you missed from today's so
you can go back and listen to the podcast on
the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 5 (02:26:23):
Celebrity is Mojo in the Morning thirty.
Speaker 11 (02:26:28):
On the thirty you're called.
Speaker 6 (02:26:32):
Samantha Hia. You're a winner. Congratulations, thank you so much,
thank you.
Speaker 15 (02:26:43):
I'm so excited.
Speaker 7 (02:26:45):
Samantha, you are going to be at jingle Ball on
December the ninth, Little Caesars Arena, and we'll get you
a pair of tickets.
Speaker 32 (02:26:53):
Okay, okay, thank you so much.
Speaker 7 (02:26:56):
Hang on the phone for just one second. Who are
you excited to see at jingle Ball?
Speaker 17 (02:27:01):
Jesse Murph of course, and Nellie.
Speaker 7 (02:27:03):
Really all right, Jesse Murph. I do not know what
Jesse Murph sings. What is Jesse Murph sing?
Speaker 12 (02:27:08):
She just released a.
Speaker 6 (02:27:13):
Do you know Jesse Murphy.
Speaker 7 (02:27:15):
No, let's listen to some Jesse Murpher yet, I do
not know Jesse jes crush.
Speaker 12 (02:27:21):
No, it's not her. I mean she might, but I'll
tell you a good song to say.
Speaker 6 (02:27:26):
What do you got? Tell me? Tell me because I'm
looking here. I only got two in here, though. I got.
Speaker 12 (02:27:32):
Blue Strips in there, which is overplayed in my opinion.
Speaker 7 (02:27:35):
I got Jesse Murph Wild Ones with Jelly Roll. Jesse
Murph Blue Strips.
Speaker 12 (02:27:43):
I'm a big fan of Gucci Mane. That's one of
her songs.
Speaker 6 (02:27:46):
All right, let's see what we got here.
Speaker 7 (02:27:48):
Hold on, I'm going on to my uh my, I
heard radio app right now.
Speaker 6 (02:27:52):
I'm gonna get some Jesse Murph. I thought Jesse Murphy honestly.
Speaker 12 (02:27:55):
Was just like does have an E by it though,
so make sure you don't.
Speaker 6 (02:27:57):
I thought it was just a fill, like just a
you know, like a an early I didn't realize that
Jesse Murph's got got a bunch of music. When did
you become a Jesse Murph fan?
Speaker 12 (02:28:07):
Recently? Probably like this year. But I've dug deep into
her albums and I really like her vibe. I think
she's similar to Jelly Roll in that she's trying to
fuse two different like types of music. So she does
like sort of like country and hip hop.
Speaker 7 (02:28:25):
Okay, if that makes sense, Well, now I gotta find
clean versions Jesse Murph, you got a dirty mouth.
Speaker 12 (02:28:32):
She's very close with Sexy Red, their friends Gucci. If
that tells you anything, Maine, Sexy.
Speaker 6 (02:28:40):
Red by the way clean. Let's see if there is
there is a just play Gucci man.
Speaker 12 (02:28:48):
She has him featured on this album.
Speaker 7 (02:28:50):
Yeah, all right, hold on, I might have to dump
because I don't think that I got a clean version. Alright,
hold on, where does swear word come at?
Speaker 4 (02:29:00):
I'm afraid to find I prefer my hoop since.
Speaker 6 (02:29:03):
I was staying wait is Jesse Murph like a country artist.
Speaker 12 (02:29:07):
I'm telling you, she fuses.
Speaker 6 (02:29:09):
Why do I think that?
Speaker 4 (02:29:10):
I kind of like it. I kind of heard this.
Speaker 7 (02:29:12):
I thought Jesse Murph was like a like Sabrina Carpenter,
We're done, We're done by it, Samantha. You got a
potty mouth too, Huh you get we got Jesse mur
swearing like crazy.
Speaker 6 (02:29:25):
You like the swear words that. Man, Are you a
trucker really.
Speaker 15 (02:29:33):
No, not for real, But I'm a trucker mouth.
Speaker 7 (02:29:35):
I a trucker mouth. I say, we have a lot
of truckers that listen to the show. I like, Uh,
I like Jesse Murph. Now I'm gonna ask that deep
dive Jesse Murph just because Jesse. First off, the look
of Jesse Murph, she's hot.
Speaker 6 (02:29:50):
Look at this. Look at what she looks like, Shannon,
She's a maze. Did you know she looked like that? Oh?
Speaker 4 (02:29:55):
Really, I knew what she looked like.
Speaker 7 (02:29:57):
EDDI, you got me dying blue, Tony. Let's get Jesse
Murph on the show. I just got a chance to
interview Hunters just.
Speaker 6 (02:30:07):
Speaker 7 (02:30:08):
Who are going to be there performing for the uh
the K pop demon Hunters sing along that we're going
to be doing. But I didn't get a chance to
know what Jesse Murph's all about. So all right, well
hold on the line for one second, Samantha, We're gonna
get you. Got up with tickets, Lydia is going to
get those for you. All right, it's Mojo on the
(02:30:28):
Morning Show phone number eight four to four, Mojo Live
eight four four six six five six five four eight.
In a given day, what do you think, as far
as our group text is concerned, are the most amount
of texts that we have ever sent in one particular
day on average on average?
Speaker 9 (02:30:48):
Or the most you asked you different questions on average
or the most on average?
Speaker 6 (02:30:52):
What do you think that the the number of texts
that we the that we sent.
Speaker 8 (02:30:58):
I'll scale back. I don't even really be in there
like that. You don't mean look at it anymore. So
I haven't send links and.
Speaker 4 (02:31:04):
Probably got sixty a day.
Speaker 6 (02:31:07):
Sixties way too much.
Speaker 7 (02:31:08):
No, No, it's it's in it's actually I say like
maybe twenty, it's.
Speaker 4 (02:31:13):
Twenty with all the likes and everything. I'm counting all
that the thumbs.
Speaker 7 (02:31:17):
No, it's it's it's actually if it's twenty seven is
the average? So I went back and I looked at
each day and it's twenty seven texts and that includes
texts that we send to each other on Saturdays and Sundays.
So I was the reason I bring this up is
my wife, Chelsea, has now gotten to a point because
(02:31:38):
of you know, I'm trying to stay away from my
phone where she says to me, who are you texting?
And I said, oh, I'm sending something to our group text.
And she's now like noting when I do send stuff
to the group text, or she'll say, oh, who just
texts you? And I'll say, oh, that's Lydia, she just
sent a story in the group text, or that's you know, Anna,
she just sent a you know, a reply to it.
(02:31:59):
Or Zach he just wro you know, sends a story,
whatever the deal is, and she'll go, you guys got
to stop doing this for each other.
Speaker 6 (02:32:06):
You guys are driving each other crazy.
Speaker 7 (02:32:08):
And so she came up with this thing that we
need to a just send the stories to each other,
but send the stories to each other right before the
show starts. Because we end up sending these stories, you
forget about them. You don't even know what's going on.
And the only and truly the only stories that are
major stories that we send to each other or major
things that we send to each other happened maybe once
(02:32:30):
every I don't know, seven months or year, Like you
don't get an Oxford High School shooting that happens all
the time.
Speaker 6 (02:32:38):
Thank god.
Speaker 9 (02:32:38):
Here's the problem, though, if we wait till the morning
to send them, you're not going to remember to send
them in the morning. Like I feel like if any
of us see something it comes up on our feed
on Instagram or TikTok or whatever, we immediately send it
because we're like, oh, mental note, we got to talk
about this, or Shan needs to put this in the
dirty tomorrow. If I if I made a mental note
to send it to myself in the morning, I would.
Speaker 6 (02:32:58):
But you never report them any do.
Speaker 4 (02:33:01):
I go through that group text in the.
Speaker 7 (02:33:03):
Morning, you there's a lot of stories that come in
there that you don't even look at, You don't even
don't have.
Speaker 9 (02:33:08):
True I look at them all. I might not report
them because guess who gets to.
Speaker 4 (02:33:12):
Write the dirty?
Speaker 11 (02:33:12):
Oh me?
Speaker 7 (02:33:13):
I know, but no, no offense because I'm not meaning
this offense.
Speaker 6 (02:33:17):
The story that doesn't even look that I don't have
enough fingers.
Speaker 9 (02:33:21):
I look at them all when I'm in Zach studio
every morning loading the audio, and sometimes I don't think.
Speaker 6 (02:33:26):
It's you obviously don't think they're interesting enough, correct.
Speaker 9 (02:33:29):
Like I don't care that Apple is selling a sling
for the phone that looks like Steve Jobs's turtle. Heck,
I didn't do that story, by the way, you know
what I mean, like today, but I didn't care to
report that in.
Speaker 6 (02:33:39):
The Dirty all right, so here, But that was.
Speaker 12 (02:33:44):
Different things though, because it's like a compilation of what
we're all interested in, which is much like our listeners,
they're all very different.
Speaker 9 (02:33:52):
Mojo sends a lot of political stuff. I don't like
putting political stuff in The Dirty all the time, so
I choose to ignore it.
Speaker 7 (02:33:57):
The problem. The problem is with a lot of the
stuff that we do send. Is a lot of the
stuff that we do send, not a lot of it,
according to my wife.
Speaker 6 (02:34:07):
Is meaningful.
Speaker 7 (02:34:08):
And so she says we're just annoying the crap out
of each other. And she actually made a really good point,
she said. And I don't always agree with Chelsea on this,
and I'm not agreeing with her just because she's my
wife and she could pretty much take most of my money.
But she said, Saturdays and Sundays, we send so much
crap to each other that it takes away the actual
(02:34:29):
interesting stuff that we send, like a family photo or
you know, a picture of a kid, our kids doing
something or whatever. The deal is that all of a sudden,
it like gets lost in the shuffle of a bajillion
different stories.
Speaker 8 (02:34:40):
We had a meeting a while ago and we just
didn't stick to it. But we created a different group
chat for this. It was supposed to be the social
media group chat.
Speaker 9 (02:34:49):
I hated that idea, you know why, because I'm already
in too many group texts to keep track of, so
to have one more, I was like, please, just can
we all just keep it in the mojo one?
Speaker 7 (02:34:59):
You fail the problem with why we got rid of
their social media group texts. I think five people left
the show in a year, so it was like we
had to do but Hannah, what's up?
Speaker 4 (02:35:09):
Hannah, Hi, good morning.
Speaker 3 (02:35:12):
I just wanted to share a little life hack.
Speaker 22 (02:35:14):
Did you know that you can schedule sending text messages
on iPhone?
Speaker 6 (02:35:18):
You know what?
Speaker 7 (02:35:18):
That is true, but that takes like five efforts of
me having to figure out.
Speaker 6 (02:35:23):
What to do.
Speaker 17 (02:35:24):
It actually takes like thirty second I do it thirty seconds.
I do them for work every day, and it's great.
You don't get bothered all the time.
Speaker 7 (02:35:30):
Do you have people in your office that send a
ton of emails in reply alls and things like that.
Speaker 28 (02:35:38):
Uh, yeah, it's my boss every day around six pm.
Speaker 7 (02:35:41):
E and that's like time for you to be at
home right and enjoining your family.
Speaker 38 (02:35:46):
Yeah, that's why we literally had like a team meeting about.
Speaker 36 (02:35:49):
Scheduling sending messages so we're not always disruptive to other
people when they have lives outside of work.
Speaker 6 (02:35:56):
You know, what, what kind of work do you do?
What do you do for a living.
Speaker 23 (02:36:00):
I'm technically a contractor, but I'm a care coordinator for
victims of auto accident.
Speaker 7 (02:36:05):
That's actually nice though, that you guys care about your
personal time, you know. I do think that there are
stuff that we should send, like I do think and
it's good. Like I learned from Lydia, majority of the
time what is going on in the news, because Lydia
is like always first, you know how the TV stations
always go, We're first with the.
Speaker 6 (02:36:25):
News, we break news. Lydia breaks news to us.
Speaker 4 (02:36:28):
A lot of the time.
Speaker 9 (02:36:29):
But I love when Lydia and keV send me things
in a separate text because then I look and Lydia
also knows. I don't have TikTok, So if somebody, if
we send, somebody sends.
Speaker 4 (02:36:38):
A TikTok in the group chat, I can't open it up.
Speaker 9 (02:36:41):
So Lydia will record her screen, which is a pain
in the butt, but I appreciate her.
Speaker 6 (02:36:44):
So if you don't have TikTok, you can't just watch
it anyway.
Speaker 4 (02:36:47):
No.
Speaker 9 (02:36:47):
Now you used to be able to, and now it
takes you to the app store.
Speaker 6 (02:36:51):
Oh what's going on? Marie? Hi?
Speaker 32 (02:36:54):
Hey, how are you good?
Speaker 6 (02:36:56):
What's going on?
Speaker 48 (02:36:58):
Well?
Speaker 3 (02:36:58):
I think I agree you should wait till right before
the show, But you know, I know you forget, So
why don't you put it in your notes on your iPhone?
Speaker 27 (02:37:07):
Then you won't forget.
Speaker 6 (02:37:08):
That's actually not a bad idea.
Speaker 7 (02:37:10):
That's it that that I think is probably more my
speed than scheduling this stuff. But I don't know if
you know this. The McRib is back and Diddy is
going to get one year less in prison. I just
want you to know that I'm going through all the
news stories that we have.
Speaker 6 (02:37:28):
Here right now.
Speaker 3 (02:37:29):
Put it in your note.
Speaker 7 (02:37:30):
I'm gonna put it in my notes. I'm gonna get
that in my notes there. Oh there's a piece of
audio we didn't do. I'm a ross Saint Brown talking
about getting punched and said.
Speaker 6 (02:37:39):
What Payne took a swing at?
Speaker 26 (02:37:41):
I mean I think so to played before that. We've
gotten a little scuffle.
Speaker 1 (02:37:48):
Yeah for sure.
Speaker 5 (02:37:49):
And they did it too.
Speaker 26 (02:37:51):
There's some bulls, you know, back and forth whatever this
and that and the other, and then nobody. We're gonna
do this in the dirty today and you grow up
to I say, though, something nothing crazy, So I mean,
it is what it is.
Speaker 6 (02:38:05):
You don't think that the Amara Saint Brown getting punk.
Speaker 4 (02:38:08):
You could have pulled it for trending news.
Speaker 6 (02:38:10):
My god, Why do I send these things? Kevin? Why
do I send those?
Speaker 4 (02:38:14):
You're supposed to not be on your phone anyway, so
don't send them.
Speaker 7 (02:38:17):
Do you know how many times the Pistons won games
that Shannon wouldn't.
Speaker 4 (02:38:21):
Reput Yeah right, I'm the only one that actually talks about.
Speaker 9 (02:38:24):
It, Kevin attest to this.
Speaker 6 (02:38:28):
I have to have to. I don't want to say
make you, but I have to like politely.
Speaker 9 (02:38:33):
Encourage absolutely absolutely, whether by text or in person.
Speaker 7 (02:38:38):
And I listen, Hey, can I complain about something real quick.
And that's not me complaining about Shannon. Can I complain
that the Channel seven? I watched Channel seven's news all right,
they're in Detroit, they're the ABC affiliate. They don't even
do sports anymore. Where's Brad galli at? I've been trying
to watch, like at the news highlights, the sports highlights,
and I go on and Brad's they don't even have
(02:38:59):
He's like for five seconds? Can somebody tell me that?
Why the best person on that entire network, that entire station.
No offense to Carolyn Clifford, He's better than you. Why
is he not on for more than a minute?
Speaker 6 (02:39:14):
Interesting? Who is the news director over there? I wonder
if it had yeah.
Speaker 7 (02:39:19):
To do it like the NBA's No, they don't do highlights.
They do no highlights at all.
Speaker 8 (02:39:24):
And I don't know why I'm saying like I feel
like I don't know. This is peer speculation. It's like
the dumbest thing, peer speculation. But I wonder if like
Access has.
Speaker 7 (02:39:33):
Been living on I think that I don't know, they
don't understand these the most talented guy on their station.
Now back to my complaining about our group test. What's
up VICKI, how you doing?
Speaker 4 (02:39:42):
Hey, how are you good?
Speaker 6 (02:39:43):
What's going on?
Speaker 13 (02:39:45):
You can mute the group text and then check it
like at a certain time, like you know.
Speaker 23 (02:39:50):
Before you go to bed or but you don't have
to have the sounds and the vibration it's constantly coming.
Speaker 7 (02:39:55):
But now with me doing the whole thirty minutes a
day where I'm away from my phone two days, I
have to and I did good yesterday too, I have
to like physic physically be away from my phone and
I cannot look at the amount of texts I get
because it still shows me the amount of text I have.
And if I see that I have fifteen texts, I'm like,
oh god, the world's ending, you know what I mean?
Speaker 6 (02:40:17):
So right, But you can also just turn like you
can set it. You have Apple, right, I do.
Speaker 42 (02:40:22):
Yeah, you can set a specific type of do not
disturb that will just not show you your text notifications.
Speaker 9 (02:40:31):
Oh okay, well, well as soon as I do that,
that's when something major happens, you know what I mean.
Speaker 7 (02:40:39):
I know I'm worried about that, but I I do
think that we just got to like maybe send less.
Speaker 23 (02:40:45):
You know, all of you have Apple, you have a
shared note Vicky.
Speaker 7 (02:40:50):
I don't know, Vicky. Uh. I think what I need
is a PowerPoint on this. I think I need like
some kind of a thing. Oh and the other thing
I want to complain about Vicky beside exist, Can I complain?
I want to complain. I want to complain about the
fact that Jamie Watson always forwards me emails and I
don't know where the email starts or so.
Speaker 4 (02:41:11):
Oh my gosh, that drives me. Not even when they
do that.
Speaker 6 (02:41:14):
I love Jamie Watson. She's in our.
Speaker 4 (02:41:16):
Sales departsre several people that do.
Speaker 7 (02:41:18):
It, and they send these The string of emails is
like eighty five deep, and I'm like from.
Speaker 4 (02:41:24):
Twenty nineteen it started.
Speaker 6 (02:41:26):
I don't know where to start or stop. Yeah, I'm
not joking.
Speaker 9 (02:41:30):
I finally had to call out one of the salespeople
and say, can you please each month just start a
new chain?
Speaker 34 (02:41:35):
Yeah eighty five Oh that's a good idea for like
monthly even reports and stuff.
Speaker 6 (02:41:41):
Yeah. I hate to complain, but I'm going to complain.
But get it up. What else you got on your chance?
Speaker 14 (02:41:45):
Bro?
Speaker 6 (02:41:46):
It's that moment. No, I'm on a tippy toe right now,
let it fly. I don't know I don't want to.
I don't want to.
Speaker 13 (02:41:54):
He doesn't like when people call up and tell him
what he should do when he doesn't want to do
it anyways, who.
Speaker 6 (02:42:00):
Ask who asked you?
Speaker 5 (02:42:03):
It's Mojo. He's a moron, but he's a lovable moron.
This is Mojo in the Morning.
Speaker 1 (02:42:10):
Detroit, Whisk.
Speaker 21 (02:42:14):
Toledo, three great Stations, one stupid show.
Speaker 2 (02:42:21):
Mojo in the Morning, Lie.
Speaker 6 (02:42:25):
Mojo in the Morning.
Speaker 7 (02:42:26):
I feel bad even picking on Shannon this morning, because
it's fine.
Speaker 6 (02:42:30):
No, she is.
Speaker 4 (02:42:30):
You're going to be doing it the damn dirty tomorrow
by yourself.
Speaker 7 (02:42:33):
She's She's in a very, uh kind of fragile state
right now. Literally Christmas almost killed her yesterday. And I
want to bring this up now because I want listeners
to participate. If you have ever had this happen to you,
if you ever almost got killed by anything Christmas related, Sanna,
(02:42:54):
his reindeer, Missus Claus, Jesus and the Manger God.
Speaker 4 (02:43:00):
What if it was Jesus' mange or one of the
wise men.
Speaker 7 (02:43:05):
Maybe uh, you got beat over the head by wrapping paper.
Shannon almost had literally Christmas kill her? Will you explain
the story, Shannon?
Speaker 9 (02:43:14):
So I somehow convinced my husband to let me put
out a few I'm gonna say wintery decorations ahead of
Thanksgiving because they're not necessarily Christmas.
Speaker 4 (02:43:23):
I have all these like fake trees that I put.
Speaker 9 (02:43:27):
On my porch, and some like fake garland that I
put on my fireplace.
Speaker 4 (02:43:31):
So like those sorts of things.
Speaker 9 (02:43:32):
Well, I keep all of that stuff in an attic
that's above my garage, which is accessed by a super
rickety I think very unsafe woll would pull down ladder.
So I also brought down a bunch of bins that
had some stuff in it. Anyway, took us about thirty minutes.
And so Wes is actually in the attic passing this
(02:43:54):
stuff down this rickety ladder to me, and he hands
me a bin about this big, you know, like a
normal rubber maid size bin.
Speaker 4 (02:44:02):
So I try to balance it on my.
Speaker 9 (02:44:04):
Left shoulder as I go down the whole of the attic,
like back down into the garage.
Speaker 4 (02:44:09):
And stupid me is wearing crocs to.
Speaker 9 (02:44:12):
Do this, and I lost my footing while trying to
balance on the ladder, fell off the top of the
ladder on thank god, not onto the garage floor. But
Wes's jeep hard top was right there, so I fell
onto that and then the bin fell.
Speaker 4 (02:44:29):
On top of me.
Speaker 12 (02:44:29):
That could have been Wow.
Speaker 9 (02:44:32):
Honestly, I can't believe I didn't break my left arm,
Oh my god, or something.
Speaker 6 (02:44:36):
Honestly, hit your head in, hurt yourself and I fell?
Did you really like what your body fell on?
Speaker 1 (02:44:41):
It?
Speaker 4 (02:44:42):
The left side of my body and then the bit
fell on top of me?
Speaker 6 (02:44:45):
Is a numbery there? No, it's okay.
Speaker 9 (02:44:47):
But Wes was like, fu Joseph, I mean I fell
from the top of that ladder.
Speaker 7 (02:44:53):
Oh my god, that's did you then get back up
on the ladder and help him get right of the
rest of the stuff.
Speaker 4 (02:44:59):
You guys, don't the moment.
Speaker 6 (02:45:00):
I want my Christmas.
Speaker 4 (02:45:02):
I'm look at here. I'll show you this picture.
Speaker 9 (02:45:04):
Look at the stats like this is the kind of
stuff he hates me, Like my just filled.
Speaker 6 (02:45:11):
Now you're an amaze. Yeah, that's a forest.
Speaker 7 (02:45:16):
Fort eight four four Mojo Live eight four four sixty
six five six five four eight. This is like Christmas
Vacation the movie when he got tangled in the lights
and almost died. Has anybody ever been killed by Christmas
or almost killed by Christmas?
Speaker 8 (02:45:31):
See all think probably have come close to this is
like like when I was younger, my mom used to
buy like real glass type ornaments, Like she was a
real ornament type person. Now I remember, you know, a
couple of them things fall and break. I think you
sweep up all the glass so you get your foot.
Speaker 6 (02:45:50):
It's the worst. That's the worst, right there.
Speaker 7 (02:45:51):
How about those little silver things that you put ornaments
on to hang tree and one gets lost in the carpet.
Next thing you know, you're stepping on it. Next thing
you're going to you're going to get a tetni shot.
Second time shots were brought up on the show today.
Speaker 6 (02:46:09):
What's up? How you doing, Joey?
Speaker 5 (02:46:12):
Yeah, how you doing?
Speaker 6 (02:46:13):
Buddy?
Speaker 7 (02:46:14):
We almost missed Shannon today. She almost had to take
an emergency day because.
Speaker 9 (02:46:20):
She almost Christmas almost did not happen.
Speaker 6 (02:46:24):
I'm gonna lie.
Speaker 49 (02:46:25):
Last year, I h I clarke w Griswold myself by
stapling you know, part of my coat to the lights
and uh yeah, almost fell off the roof.
Speaker 6 (02:46:37):
Holy do you do? Brother in law?
Speaker 49 (02:46:41):
Last year, she uh, she was going to get the
decorations down from the attic, which now I'm the only
one allowed in the attic because I'm a carpenter and
you know know how to walk on truck.
Speaker 5 (02:46:53):
Yeah, she fell right through the drywall.
Speaker 9 (02:46:58):
So terrified that's gonna happen to me. We have so
much stuff up there right now, and I feel like
it's kind of freaky. Well I don't. It's a floor
to me.
Speaker 6 (02:47:09):
I know, you think, I know, you know. It may
seem like a floor, but trust me, No.
Speaker 12 (02:47:18):
At your house right now.
Speaker 16 (02:47:20):
Careful.
Speaker 7 (02:47:21):
Hey, Joey, are you going to decorate less this year
because you're near death last year?
Speaker 6 (02:47:26):
Or will you decorate just the same? Oh no, I
am old on going. Clark w griswol for you. That's good.
You got to get back up on that bike.
Speaker 4 (02:47:36):
We've never seen Christmas Vacation.
Speaker 30 (02:47:37):
Oh it's the best, Kevin Irwin the second.
Speaker 6 (02:47:42):
Yeah, you've never seen that at all.
Speaker 7 (02:47:45):
No, I didn't make the cook Oh my Kevin, it
may be the best Christmas movie that is out there.
Home alone, bro, I'm telling you, you gotta why seriously.
Speaker 1 (02:47:54):
Where do you think you're going.
Speaker 47 (02:47:56):
Nobody's leaving, nobody's walking out on this fun, old fashioned
fan Christmas. No, No, we're all in this together.
Speaker 1 (02:48:03):
This is a full.
Speaker 47 (02:48:04):
Blown four alarm holiday emergency here, We're gonna press on
and we're gonna have the half half happiest Christmas since
Bing Crosby tap dance with Danny fin Kay.
Speaker 1 (02:48:12):
And when Santa squeezes.
Speaker 47 (02:48:13):
Fat white ass down that chair, he's gonna find the
jolliest bunch of holes this side of the nuthouse.
Speaker 6 (02:48:18):
I love it. I'll fall asleep on it today.
Speaker 12 (02:48:20):
I'm not gonna lie.
Speaker 16 (02:48:21):
I also haven't seen it.
Speaker 7 (02:48:22):
Oh it's the fast Watch it seriously, but you probably
have seen Home Alone, like eight thousand times, right, Emma,
what's up, Bamma?
Speaker 6 (02:48:29):
How you doing?
Speaker 16 (02:48:30):
Good morning everybody?
Speaker 6 (02:48:32):
Why were you almost killed by Christmas?
Speaker 16 (02:48:35):
When I was two? Yeah, I a couple of days
before Christmas. It was right after my mom had my sister,
so she was a brand new baby, and it was
right before Christmas, and I wanted to see what was
in my stocking. So I pulled on my stocking and
the ceramic stanna on top that was holding it cel
right on my forehead and busted my forehead open. And
(02:48:58):
there was so much flood. My dad was like, it
was coming out of your forehead, so it just wouldn't stop.
There was blood everywhere. They had the rushman into the
yar and I had to get stitches in my forehead
at two years old.
Speaker 7 (02:49:08):
Day it literally almost had an artery and died because
of that stupid stock.
Speaker 16 (02:49:14):
And I have a I've got a scar on my forehead.
There's like a little white scar on my forehead.
Speaker 28 (02:49:18):
From where the stitches were.
Speaker 7 (02:49:19):
Oh my god, Santa Christmas, Yep, it's not fair.
Speaker 6 (02:49:26):
What's up, Cam? How you doing good?
Speaker 19 (02:49:30):
It wasn't Christmas, it was Halloween. And I was super
excited to get the decorations from the attic like Shannon
and pulled down the ladder. My daughter was about three
years old watching, and I climbed up through the ladder
and I stepped through the dry wall and fell through
the plank and all the way through the garage while
(02:49:54):
my daughter watched me fall through the hole. And I
remember I saw on my butt. I was really lucky.
And I remember just laying their thinking am I bleeding?
Do I have anything broken? And I remember her just
looking at me saying, mom's all through the through the roof.
Speaker 7 (02:50:16):
You know what's funny is that there's there's those stories
all the time about people that try to rob stores
by going through the roof tiles and stuff like that,
and it was somebody. Some guy got stuck, didn't he
again a sneaker story. Yeah, you're right, like you got
stuck in in the roof. You had that happen to you.
You almost killed yourself.
Speaker 19 (02:50:33):
I was pretty I was pretty bruised up, and I
had a lot of scraps on my ribs and on
my arms, and I was lucky I didn't break anything.
Speaker 4 (02:50:44):
But you you kept decorating. Yeah, I kept going.
Speaker 3 (02:50:47):
I did.
Speaker 41 (02:50:48):
My husband was.
Speaker 7 (02:50:49):
Mad at me, and so Shannon, did you finish? Is
all your decorations done?
Speaker 6 (02:50:53):
Then?
Speaker 9 (02:50:54):
No, we pulled everything down. I just and then I
had to go to a school thing.
Speaker 4 (02:51:00):
So he was like, great, Now it's just sitting in.
Speaker 6 (02:51:02):
The and is there a big old dent on West's
uh jeep?
Speaker 4 (02:51:08):
I don't think so.
Speaker 9 (02:51:09):
I don't know how, but I don't know how.
Speaker 6 (02:51:13):
She's light she yeah, a feather, She's like a feather
on top of them. But all right, Chess not roasting.
Speaker 1 (02:51:22):
On an open fire.
Speaker 25 (02:51:24):
I wonder how Chess feels about this. It's Mojo in
the Morning. It's the second date update on Mojo.
Speaker 5 (02:51:32):
In the Morning.
Speaker 7 (02:51:33):
All right, So Jason is getting ghosted after he went
on a date.
Speaker 6 (02:51:40):
What'd you guys do for your date? Jason?
Speaker 29 (02:51:44):
Uh? We we went to dinner and then we went
to the club.
Speaker 7 (02:51:48):
And you thought that everything went great and she's not
calling you back. We're gonna find out what's going on.
Brooke is on the phone with us right now. Jason,
Will you say hello to brook? O?
Speaker 28 (02:52:00):
Hey?
Speaker 6 (02:52:01):
Wait? Wait, come on? You want to go on another
date with her?
Speaker 5 (02:52:04):
And oh?
Speaker 2 (02:52:05):
Hey?
Speaker 6 (02:52:05):
Is how you're gonna say? Hey? I mean, hey, Brooke?
How you doing? What's going on? I haven't heard Hi? Brook?
Speaker 11 (02:52:13):
Hi?
Speaker 6 (02:52:13):
Brook Brooke.
Speaker 7 (02:52:17):
I guarantee you he sounds more thrilled to be able
to talk to you than he just sounded just a
second ago, because he wants to know exactly what's going on. So,
you guys went on what he said was a great date,
so dinner, went out to a club afterwards.
Speaker 6 (02:52:32):
What is going on?
Speaker 7 (02:52:32):
Why is there not any phone calls or text messages
going back and forth? And why have you guys not
planned a second date?
Speaker 28 (02:52:40):
Oh?
Speaker 17 (02:52:41):
God, he told you we went to a club.
Speaker 6 (02:52:46):
Yes, he just did just a second ago. You just
heard it.
Speaker 28 (02:52:50):
It was his strip.
Speaker 12 (02:52:51):
Club, a club of sorts.
Speaker 6 (02:52:53):
Where did he take you to?
Speaker 17 (02:52:58):
We went to bets.
Speaker 7 (02:53:01):
He took you to BT's, which is which is a
strip club? Is where's that at? Is that in Detroit
or Dearborn or something like that?
Speaker 11 (02:53:08):
Where?
Speaker 19 (02:53:09):
I mean, does it even matter?
Speaker 17 (02:53:11):
I was just so uncomfortable with this.
Speaker 4 (02:53:13):
Wait, so that was not part of the plan.
Speaker 6 (02:53:15):
Did you know?
Speaker 7 (02:53:16):
Did you know you were going to a strip club?
Like when you guys were on your way.
Speaker 17 (02:53:19):
Over there, he told me that we were going to
a club before we got in, and then it just
happened to be he tricked me. I thought we were
just going to like dance.
Speaker 6 (02:53:34):
So what did you do?
Speaker 7 (02:53:36):
Did you go in sit down at a table or
did you guys say no, I'm not going to do this.
Speaker 6 (02:53:40):
Did you tell him you're not into it?
Speaker 7 (02:53:42):
At the moment you walked in and realized that there
were girls dancing on a stage?
Speaker 17 (02:53:47):
Well, I was just shocked for a second because I
was honestly, I felt disrespected. But like who goes to
who brings like a date to a strip clubs like
a surprise I.
Speaker 6 (02:54:05):
Bring.
Speaker 17 (02:54:06):
So it took me. It took me a second, and
then I was like bye forever, you know, Like, why
would I Yeah, I don't.
Speaker 7 (02:54:17):
I don't need that if you're if you're going to
take somebody Jason to a strip club, I think you
got to figure that they're the type of person that
likes going to strip clubs. What made you think that
Brooke was going to be cool with going to a
strip club?
Speaker 29 (02:54:31):
I mean we were we were having a fun time
at dinner and it was like a like a like
a forty and sexty thing and and like I've taken
girls there's like for before after dinner and it's worked
out like great, because it's you know.
Speaker 9 (02:54:46):
It works out so great that you're still you're on
another first day.
Speaker 6 (02:54:51):
What what is well? Okay, what does great mean?
Speaker 7 (02:54:54):
Like what when you say it works out great, does
it lead to you, guys then going home and having sacks?
Speaker 6 (02:54:58):
Is that what you were hoping for?
Speaker 5 (02:54:59):
Yeah?
Speaker 29 (02:55:00):
Okay, because it's like a fun like it's like a
charged energy and like, yeah, have gone second dates with
those people too, so so it's like and I saw
I was getting a similar energy on this one. But
she totally just like shut down and wasn't like having fun,
didn't want to have another drink. It just was like
she totally turned and wouldn't tell me why.
Speaker 7 (02:55:21):
And like I I think she was a little surprised
by where you took her.
Speaker 6 (02:55:26):
Amanda wants to comment. What's up? Amanda?
Speaker 11 (02:55:29):
Hi?
Speaker 27 (02:55:29):
How are you guys?
Speaker 6 (02:55:30):
We're doing good.
Speaker 7 (02:55:31):
By the way, if you want to comment on this,
you can text call me to nine five five zero
zero and Lydia will call you, or you can call
it eight four four six six five six by four eight.
Speaker 6 (02:55:40):
We have like four open phone lines right now. What's
going on, Amanda?
Speaker 27 (02:55:44):
So I I went on a first date and we
went to CJ. Barrymore's first and then after that he
asked what I wanted to do, So I had brought
up going.
Speaker 17 (02:55:54):
We went to Players and I had the time in
my life?
Speaker 6 (02:55:57):
But my life? Can you, Shannon, explain C J. Barrymore's
and what is personal?
Speaker 4 (02:56:04):
Hell?
Speaker 9 (02:56:05):
Uh no, I'm joking. It's like it's like an indoor
outdoor amusement park arcade. Okay, you know all the thing
and players?
Speaker 6 (02:56:12):
What is players? Both have attractions?
Speaker 1 (02:56:17):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (02:56:18):
Okay, but no, I did have fun.
Speaker 22 (02:56:20):
But I do believe she should have been asked if
that's not her thing now what she's into, then it
can be very.
Speaker 7 (02:56:24):
Awkward, Shannon, And you don't seem like the type that
goes to a strip club, but in it maybe I
don't know, But would you.
Speaker 4 (02:56:34):
If somebody took you there as like a surprise on
a first date?
Speaker 12 (02:56:36):
No, not on a first date.
Speaker 6 (02:56:38):
I have.
Speaker 7 (02:56:40):
Though, do you want to be told, hey, we're going
to a strip club ahead of time, not surprised when
you pull up in there like.
Speaker 12 (02:56:45):
Ask me you down to go to the strip club? Yeah,
let's go.
Speaker 7 (02:56:49):
That's kind of what you should have done, Jason. Hold
on a second here, Stephanie wants to comment with us.
What's up Stevenie? That, by the way, is the same
thing that Brooke was saying when she went to the
strip club first time A long time last time.
Speaker 6 (02:57:07):
What's up, Stephanie?
Speaker 3 (02:57:09):
I I was just gonna say, I'd probably just go
and have a good time, dance, pocket some dollars, get
the lady some dollars. Make sure.
Speaker 6 (02:57:20):
You're saying Brooks should have just gone with it and
had fun.
Speaker 3 (02:57:23):
Yeah, oh yeah, for sure, have pun dance with the
lady and be like, hey, he's got the money.
Speaker 6 (02:57:28):
But that's not her thing though, so I mean, oh well, yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:57:32):
I guess I didn't hear that comment because I was
waiting on the phone.
Speaker 5 (02:57:35):
Creep.
Speaker 7 (02:57:35):
No, so well, she's she said she was surprised by it,
like she thought she was going to just go dance
at a club. She didn't think she was going to
go to a strip club. And she's she sounds like
she's not into going to strip clubs.
Speaker 3 (02:57:48):
Okay, Well, I would definitely if she would have gone in,
and I would have definitely just had fun with it
for sure.
Speaker 7 (02:57:54):
Yeah, maybe you guys should go on a day. We'll
set you up with the phone number. What's up, Phoenix.
Speaker 42 (02:58:00):
I think that the problem is that they just didn't
come to subs to see.
Speaker 6 (02:58:05):
Me, Phoenix the stripper. What's up Phoenix?
Speaker 44 (02:58:11):
Yes?
Speaker 23 (02:58:11):
And also, by the way, I feel like I haven't
seen you in there.
Speaker 6 (02:58:15):
Either, you know, has been busy. But maybe this weekend,
I don't know, tells the food no better?
Speaker 16 (02:58:23):
Actually we don't have food that part.
Speaker 6 (02:58:26):
I'm not gonna then. It's a full on brothing fire though.
Speaker 38 (02:58:29):
And I will be there this weekend Friday and Saturday night, Phoenix.
Speaker 7 (02:58:32):
I was going to choose that as our end of
the year holiday party location.
Speaker 6 (02:58:36):
But now that you guys.
Speaker 17 (02:58:37):
Don't have you know, what we can order in we'll get.
Speaker 7 (02:58:43):
The you know to the main stage. Hold on a second, Levita,
what's up? Levita?
Speaker 6 (02:58:49):
Hey, good morning, long time, long time.
Speaker 45 (02:58:51):
Hey, hey family, Jason, you said you've taken other girls.
Speaker 6 (02:58:57):
There, are you a pip? I mean, okay, what.
Speaker 12 (02:59:04):
An answer?
Speaker 29 (02:59:07):
Wow, It's not like I do that every time, But like,
if I'm feeling there, like I'll go to a I'll
go to like more of a regular club.
Speaker 5 (02:59:12):
But that's the vibe I'm feeling.
Speaker 29 (02:59:13):
But I was feeling like the like, let's have a fun,
sexy time, but broke.
Speaker 33 (02:59:17):
So it's not like always.
Speaker 9 (02:59:20):
You need to make sure that that's the right next
destination on the date.
Speaker 6 (02:59:26):
You know, love you, Levita. You live in Leavita Loca.
He remember that? What's Michelle?
Speaker 18 (02:59:35):
Good morning?
Speaker 6 (02:59:35):
Mojo, Good morning.
Speaker 19 (02:59:37):
Like we need some.
Speaker 17 (02:59:38):
Sort of warning for like kids, Hey, we're gonna.
Speaker 15 (02:59:41):
Talk about strip clubs.
Speaker 18 (02:59:42):
My old little boys want to know what a strip
club was?
Speaker 6 (02:59:47):
What did what did you say?
Speaker 38 (02:59:50):
I said it was a place where you go and
get strips of meat.
Speaker 6 (02:59:53):
Well, met, Michelle, are they in the car with you still?
Speaker 17 (02:59:59):
Oh?
Speaker 15 (03:00:00):
Oh thank god, I just dropped them off.
Speaker 8 (03:00:02):
Wait what kind of meat did you tell them?
Speaker 6 (03:00:08):
Oh? God? What's up? Rachel? Hi, it's Mojo in the morning.
Speaker 7 (03:00:13):
We're talking, by the way, morning for all the parents
about strip clubs.
Speaker 6 (03:00:16):
What's up?
Speaker 11 (03:00:17):
Hi? First?
Speaker 41 (03:00:19):
First of all, first time, many decades, a long time.
Speaker 4 (03:00:22):
Listen, thank you, thank you?
Speaker 41 (03:00:29):
So fight thing is I feel like that you only
live one right, even on a first date. Why not
enjoy your entire life and golf? I agree with the
other girls, go have fun, dance with the trippers. And
if she doesn't, to me, I feel like it's a
little bit of insecurities within her smelf.
Speaker 8 (03:00:44):
Yeah, but say, for example, you don't like amusement parks,
you don't like roller coasters, and they take you there
for your first day. You don't want to ride any
of the rides. It's not that you don't know how
to have a good time. It's just not your thing.
Speaker 41 (03:00:58):
It doesn't have to be her thing. I'm not a
little bit out of your element. Why not get a
little bit out.
Speaker 15 (03:01:03):
Of your comfort zone?
Speaker 6 (03:01:04):
That I agree.
Speaker 8 (03:01:05):
But if she don't want breasts flopping in her face
and asks a lot and left and right, I'm not
mad at it.
Speaker 6 (03:01:16):
Yeah, I'm sorry. Would you want to say, Brooke a surprise?
Speaker 17 (03:01:19):
Strip club is just no? This is not a no,
absolutely not.
Speaker 22 (03:01:24):
I can't you know, maybe that's the other girls, but
this is not why I signed out far No, absolutely not.
Speaker 17 (03:01:31):
I just I can't. I can't.
Speaker 37 (03:01:33):
You know, the strippers, but not my first date.
Speaker 6 (03:01:37):
Okay, Phil wants to comment? What's up? Phil? High? Hey, Mojoe,
how you doing? I'm doing fantastic? What's going on? Phil?
Speaker 47 (03:01:45):

Speaker 11 (03:01:46):
