Speaker 1 (00:00):
I'm gonna try to sit down while I'm talking to you.

(00:02):
Turned up today, man, understandably. So it has been a
one wonderful weekend. Aside from the weekends of you know,
my wedding and my birth of my children, this might
be the cumulative of all of it. It was one
of the greatest things I've ever done, was this past weekend.

(00:22):
And thank you guys for sharing it with me. Thanks
for being there. Anna. We missed you, but you were
understandably in a great place. You had warm weather, and
you were with the Detroit Pistons and they got a win,
so so that was cool. It was so much fun.
So we had the induction on Thursday. I could not
ever be more proud of all of my boys. But

(00:45):
when Joe did the induction, it totally blew me away.
I think I've watched it twenty plus times and I've
cried every single time I watched it. I cannot believe
how emotional I got, and I understand because I don't
remember anybody else in that room at that moment. I
was so nervous. It calmed me and then all of
a sudden, I'm like, oh my god, same feeling I

(01:07):
get when I have a mushroom. And then I looked
around and I saw people crying, and.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
Well, Table seventeen, which is where we were all sitting,
was a big mushy mess.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
What moment in the entire speech, as you say, it
kind of hits you the heart is when so so
I looked at Joe in the beginning and I saw
him and I was like, oh my god, he looks
so good.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
You know, it's it's there's something about when your your
child chooses your career. It brings about two things to you.
Number one, it brings nervousness because you don't want them
to be judged by you. And number two, it also
makes you go, I hope that they're not doing this
just to make me happy. You know. When Joe did

(01:49):
started doing the induction, I sat there and I go,
this is Joe. Joe's a He's a he's a bona fide,
you know talent. It was unbelievable and I'm so happy
that I chose him, especially after I looked at at
Clay and Book before me. I'm going, I think they
phoned it in, you know what I mean? That was
off the cop was yeah, and so so the part

(02:12):
that got me on Joe's and you can see it
on the Instagram. Was Joe's reading through all the accolades
and he's talking about me like I am, you know,
just you know, one of his uh fellow radio people.
And then when he got personal at the end, I
was like, you know, And I said to Chelsea right beforehand,
I go, I don't know if I can do this,

(02:32):
and she goes, what do you mean you don't know
if you could do this? And I said, I don't
know if I can go up there and speak. I
was so nervous. I'm not gonna lie to you guys.
I was so not myself even in the beginning. I
did not feel comfortable. I was seeing people that I
couldn't believe showed up to this thing. So it was
making me even more nervous. And then when Joe spoke,
the moment he started speaking calm hit me. I don't

(02:53):
know what it was. It was like it literally was
like the moment that you know, you walk outside on
a spring day and you hear birds chirp, And I
got up there and I'm and I in my head,
I made the decision at that moment, I said to myself,
Tom you are not a script guy. Do not go
off the script. Go from your heart. And I went
up there and I literally don't. I didn't know what

(03:16):
I said until after I said it. And I looked
down at my table that we were at the table
with my sisters and Chelsea and the boys. And I
looked down and I saw Luke sobbing. When I saw
my youngest son sobbing, I realized he wasn't even drinking.

(03:37):
And I saw him just you know, balling his eyes out,
and Jacob crying. Jacob's another one too, that's very strong.
And I saw Chelsea have this look on her face
like she was so proud of me, and that that
right there got me. And Red is hot on her
and she hates this because all weekend long, I kept going,

(03:58):
lady is dancing with me? You know it will be
so funny.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
Is At the very beginning of the ceremony, they were like,
we're keeping everybody to a very strict five minute speech.
We want this thing to be exactly two hours long.
It's being broadcast on you know, eighty plus radio stations
across the world. Whatever, and Modo gets up there, how
long was yours?

Speaker 1 (04:19):
Was it ten? Minutes because they started doing the music.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
He got the music, he got the music, and he
told him to stop it.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
No, I said, listen, I'm talking cancer. You guys want
to be playing music. Playing stopped right away. They started
to write at the cancer.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
But obviously the host didn't get the memo about five
minutes because she spent half.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
The show talking about herself. Oh wow, uh that was
Kim commando command she has for the listeners. They probably
don't didn't understand what that means. But she in the
middle of this thing, all of a sudden goes, you know,
I have a yacht and two and two homes. Two homes,
one in Santa Barbara or the other in Scottsdale. I

(05:00):
were like, oh, good for you. I wanted to get
up and do my Christian bale. But it was so cool.
You know what. The coolest part of the whole weekend
was the intersections of every part of my life. And
I had this happen when Chelsea threw that wonderful party
for me. It was cool to see friends, family, neighbors, everybody,
co workers, all of us together at that party. Then

(05:21):
to go to Chicago and see the same situation where
here my wife, my kids, my siblings, and then I
look over at the table next to me and it's
you guys and all my you know, unbelievable co workers
that I've worked with for so many years. Then parts
of my past, my history, you know, my first program directors,

(05:43):
El Zara driving in from you know, Detroit, Chad Mitchell,
Chad Mitchell, our first you know producer and honestly one
of my brothers, and just love I Chad. I used
to say all the time, will take a bullet for you.
He literally there was two times this show almost got
fired and off the air, and Chad went into the
Boston said it was my decision. It wasn't his decision.

(06:05):
It was my decision. And the things that happened, and
he was gonna get fired. He said to me, I said, Chad,
you're gonna get fired. You're not going to do this,
and he goes, you have a family. This is before
he had Georgia, his daughter, and then at that moment
he was like, take the bullets right. So it was cool.
It was honestly one of the most amazing weekends ever. Claudia,
what's going on? It's moje in the morning.

you don't even understand how proud I am of you.
And I'm sure I can speak for the majority of
our listeners. I'm getting emotional. I'm poor, happy, Thank you.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
It means it means any, it means everything to me, Claudia.
And let me say this to you.

Speaker 4 (06:56):
