Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, it's Mojo in the morning show. So Chelsea
and I went out to dinner. This story is funny.
We go out to dinner and it's just the two
of us and we're sitting down at this restaurant and
I won't name the restaurant because I feel bad for
these guys. So sitting down, Chelse and I, you know,
waitress comes over.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
It's really sweet. It's like she sa, like, hey, can
I get you guys drinks? Ordered?
Speaker 1 (00:21):
Get her, you know, drinks, order our drinks. She comes,
brings our drinks to us, has water and all the
rest of the stuff. And we're just sitting there talking
and then we're getting ready to order and I said
to her, I go, I go, hey, you know, what's
your favorite thing on the menu? I always ask that question,
and then I always follow that up with what's your
least favorite thing on the menu, Because if they if
they'll give me their favorite thing on the menu, and
they won't give me their least favorite thing, and if
(00:42):
they say everything's good, they're full of crap. I know
that she told me like five things that were her
least favorites, which was awesome.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
I respected it.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
So we order foods in I'm trying to be really
really focused and I'm bad at it, and Chelsea, I'm
sorry about this.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
I'm always on my phone.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
I kept my phone in my pocket, didn't even have
it on the table, turned over, and we're just talking
and talking in times going by, and the guy comes
over a few times and starts filling up our waters.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
The water kid, you know, ordered water guy, water boy.
Speaker 1 (01:10):
And we're just sitting there having this conversation going on
and on and on, and then finally I just said
to her, I go, have you seen our waitress in
a while? And she says no, And I go, how
long has it been? And she Elsea's like, I think
it's been a while, but you know, I don't know
time because I don't have my phone and stuff there.
So we just sit more and we'd started. You know,
when you're in a restaurant, you start seeing people that
are sitting around you that ordered. After you get in
(01:32):
your food, you're like, what the f So finally we
called over a server from another table and said, hey,
could you check on our order?
Speaker 2 (01:43):
And they said, oh, did.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
You order from Katie or whatever her name was, Catherine order?
And I said, I don't know what her name is,
but you're like, yeah, the blonde girl. She goes, Oh
my god, I'm so sorry.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
She quit.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
She quit in the middle of our freaking meal, So
in the middle, in the or in middle, not in
our meal.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
We didn't even get the meal. She quit in the
middle of our thing.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
And nobody came over to us, not the server, not
even the water boy, not a manager, and said that
our waitress left in the middle of the thing. And
I started cracking up laughing, and I said, I said
to Chelsea, I go, I go, this is craziness. I said,
I've you know, known that this has happened before. Matter
(02:24):
of fact, I think that I've seen Nate Burgetsk talking
about that before. It's happening to us right now. So
they came over. They were really nice. They brought our
food to us, and they didn't, you know, charge us
for anything, like, they were really cool.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
We left a tap and stuff. But she quit right
in the middle of the thing.
Speaker 1 (02:42):
And I'm thinking, God, if I was going to quit
and do and I quit this bitch thing, I would
still feel bad about the people that I'm leaving behind
and say, hey, guys, I'm leaving right now or say something.
Has anybody had a great quitting story like I would
love to hear a great quitting story, like how did
you quit a job that you just hated? And will
(03:06):
you call us up and tell us and Katie or
kay Kate whatever you mean.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
Where the hell did you go?
Speaker 1 (03:14):
If I ever go to a restaurant, because you know,
these guys all go from restaurant to restaurant. Yeah, I
go to sometimes you go to Plymouth, or you go
to Royal Oak or Birmingham or any of these areas
that are in my area West Bloomfield.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
You'll see you and go, hey, you can't work here.
You worked at Redcoat, you know well.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
Or there's some like Wes and I used to go
to this one particular restaurant all the time, in said
at the bar because the bartender, Andrew, the one that
he invited to our wedding, Yeah, was like our favorite.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
And they fired him. And I will not go back
to that restaurant whatsoever anymore. They parted ways. Yes, oh yeah, wow.
Speaker 1 (03:51):
That's when you fire somebody that you love, you think
it's not their fault because you've seen the best of them, right, Yeah,
And I don't care what it is. It's like, yeah,
I get it. I'll protest that. But eight four to four,
Mojo live quit? What your I quit moment that you
can tell us about Jenna?
Speaker 2 (04:08):
What's up? It's Mojo in the morning.
Speaker 3 (04:11):
Hi.
Speaker 4 (04:11):
So I worked at a restaurant. I worked midnights and
I was absolutely miserable there. They just treated everyone bad.
So when I quit, I got a get well soon
card that said get well soon, and I just wrote
I quit and signed my name and gave that to them.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
Oh geez, oh my god. You don't use them as
a reference to you.
Speaker 5 (04:30):
I do not know.
Speaker 1 (04:31):
Yeah, I wonder how can you tell me? This isn't
you guys work service industry. I was a busboy once.
I was never like a waiter. Do they ask for uh?
Or like do the restaurants talk to each other?
Speaker 2 (04:44):
No, they don't know.
Speaker 5 (04:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (04:47):
I've never even understood references because most of the time.
Don't you leave your job because of your boss? Why
would they say something but they're only going to say
something bad about you?
Speaker 2 (04:54):
Is that why you leave a job? I think you
leave it because you want something else. I think a
lot of people leave because of their boss. I don't
like their bosses. What's up, Jonathan?
Speaker 7 (05:03):
Hi?
Speaker 5 (05:04):
Hello?
Speaker 7 (05:05):
So, Uh, I used to manage the McDonald the overnights,
the night shift, and I take a vacation for my
birthday every year and whatnot. So when I over my vacation, uh,
the night manager that was covering my shift had a
gun pulled Donald. And when I got back from my vacation,
they uh informed me that that happened. And I literally
(05:26):
turned around, wrote my notice, and then walked out never
returned to scaring us.
Speaker 1 (05:32):
Yeah, yeah, I'd be a little bit freaked out about that.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
Caroline, what's up?
Speaker 8 (05:36):

Speaker 4 (06:42):
I left the day the day of and then when
I came back, I brush my hair all the way out,
grabbed my stuff and gave her the middle finger.
Speaker 6 (06:52):
Were they going to give you a raise to get
your hair done all the time?
Speaker 4 (06:55):
Right, That's what I was trying to figure out. But
it was I have natural kiky curls, like my hair
is like really deep and I and she said it with.
Speaker 2 (07:03):
Professional is professional?
Speaker 6 (07:08):
Just to make that very clear, your natural hair is professional.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
What was the job? What did did you have to?
Speaker 7 (07:14):
Like?
Speaker 4 (07:15):
I was a sales consultant, Garden of White.
Speaker 1 (07:18):
No, boy, you can't really do anything about people microaggressions.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
That's interesting.
Speaker 1 (07:23):
Wow, all right, Uh hold on a second, somebody wants
a way of voiceless guys, I'm a fire that sucker
up right now. Let me get it going there. Which

Speaker 3 (07:53):
Hey, good morning guys.
Speaker 2 (07:54):
What's going on?
Speaker 3 (07:56):
Ice to work at this restaurant in commerce. I won't say.
We had this one waitress her first day. Her first
day was a Friday, and it was kind of chaotic
in there, and then she just says, I have to go.
I gotta go, and just walked out the door and
we're like, oh, thank god she let us know. And
then like two hours later, the other waitresses are getting
(08:18):
ready to go home and they're like, hey, uh, my
wallet's gone. We were remind a camera and we see
her go in the back grab waitresses wallet and take
and just run out with it. I call her up
and I'm like, hey, we have young camera. You stole
(08:38):
four hundred dollars wallet everything. We need it back a
sap and it was like she would start crying. Then
she'd hang up and I call her back and she's
customing out. She was just having all kinds of like yeah,
her cousin calls me back and goes, I'm going to
bring up the wallet. I'll bring up the money everything.
I just got to go pond this. PS five.
Speaker 1 (08:59):
Oh my god, hey Victor, quick question for you. I
got to quick question for you. Who is the hottest
guy that you know?
Speaker 2 (09:09):
Oh god, right now, I.
Speaker 3 (09:11):
Mean besides Kevin on the show. I mean the way
he hugs me is just underlaiv.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
He nestles you, doesn't he doesn't. He kind of.
Speaker 3 (09:28):
Funny thing is he never hugs me like face to face.
It's always from behind.
Speaker 2 (09:34):
Yeah, yeah, all right. Anyway, the lady.
Speaker 3 (09:42):
The lady brings back the money, her cousin brings back
the money and everything, and she's all apologetic and she's
had a pawn all her kids stuff that. And she goes, anyway,
is there any chance I can get an application? I said, yeah,
no problem. So I go inside and I grab an application.
And my wife is the law I mean, the people
I work with.
Speaker 10 (10:02):
So what are you doing?
Speaker 3 (10:04):
You're not coming to an application? I go, I have
to because this is a complete The story.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
Is such a good one. I like this one. Or hey, hello,
what's going on? This is a good one. You're a
tow truck driver, craziest way you quit a job.
Speaker 11 (10:21):
Oh yeah, so uh I was, uh, we were on
you call this on rotation out in California. Use that's
where I'm from. Uh So we called by, we called,
we got called out by HP.
Speaker 10 (10:32):
So as I'm like waiting for the officer to do
all the investigation on the accident scene, uh, I'm on
the phone with my supervisor and I was like, hey,
uh what do you call this?
Speaker 11 (10:46):
Uh, I'm I'm gonna after this one. I'm gonna go
ahead and take my lunch. And he was like, no, no, no,
I got way too many calls. Uh So you have
to you have to do this and you have to
be able to do the other call. And I said,
you know what I'm done with you guys. Uh so
you can come and go ahead and.
Speaker 10 (11:03):
Get your truck from the side of the highway.
Speaker 11 (11:05):
No, And I just I literally just left.
Speaker 7 (11:07):
You left.
Speaker 2 (11:08):
You walked away from your tow truck on the side
of the road. How did you like, that's kind of
a dangerous thing. How did you get a ride or
how did you get home? Well?
Speaker 5 (11:19):
I just called one of my friends. That's great talking
about I was nice enough to call the officer. I
called the officer. Hey, you know what, somebody else is
going to come and pick up the tow truck.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
That's like a boss move.
Speaker 1 (11:33):
By the way, one of the things you learn is
the people that know all the computer passwords or know
the computer tech stuff are the people you don't f with.
Initial see his voice disguise you there? Yeah, I got you.
You quit a job by.
Speaker 11 (11:49):
Doing what.
Speaker 12 (11:51):
I locked him out of their computer.
Speaker 2 (11:57):
You Megan?
Speaker 1 (11:58):
Megan, by the way, makes it so that our human
resources department is wondering if they should like worry if
Megan ever leaves her she's going to do something destructive.
Speaker 2 (12:06):
Don't You're like?
Speaker 7 (12:07):
Good for you?
Speaker 2 (12:09):
Great, this is awesome.
Speaker 6 (12:10):
I'm guessing if you have to shut down a computer
system and that's how you're choosing to leave knowing that
they could follow you.
Speaker 2 (12:16):
There was probably a lot that led up to that point.
But isn't it nice just to say I'll be the
better person. When has your job ever said they're the
better person for you? Hey? Initial?
Speaker 1 (12:27):
See what did they do to you that caused you
to lock them out of their computer system?
Speaker 12 (12:31):
Well, they excuse me, violent and security security protocol.
Speaker 2 (12:38):
And they can't They accused you once or many times.
Speaker 12 (12:42):
Well, no, they excuse me one time and sent an
email to my supervisor. But the reason this came about
was because everyone was in person doing training and I
was all the but they was still a working and
they couldn't necessarily monitor.
Speaker 9 (12:59):
What I was from home.
Speaker 2 (13:02):
So what kind of company? What kind of company was this?
Speaker 5 (13:09):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (13:10):
You locked the government out? Now I don't feel so
bad for Can I tell you?
Speaker 8 (13:13):
I have a friend who used to work in social
media and the person they were doing social media for
was a massive influencer with like millions of followers. They
didn't pay her for months, for six months, so she
changed all of their passwords and said, you cannot have
access to your multimillion dollar follower multi million follower account
until you give me my money back, and they gave
her the money.
Speaker 2 (13:34):
WHOA wow, it's crazy. By the way, hold on a second,
do I have all the passwords? I have all the passwords.
I'm gonna make sure. I think I dealt with that
with a couple of people that have left your job.
Speaker 7 (13:46):
Here
