Speaker 1 (00:00):
Mojo in the morning show Dirty and just a little
bit here, Shannon. It's the little things.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
It is every once in a while, you guys, do
you feel like life is so busy and you're so go,
go go, and something makes you like stop in your
tracks and pause and be grateful for everything that you have. Right,
And yesterday I had one of those moments when my

(00:27):
sister Jacqueline has two little girls, Stella and Navy. And
if you follow me on Instagram, you know I love
my nieces so much. They are so dang cute. But Navy,
who is two, has a lot of health issues. She
has something called m cops twelve, which is an ultra
rare disease that about forty people in the world they

(00:48):
think have. It's so crazy to me, but she is blind,
she can't walk, she drinks well, she gets all of
her liquids through a tube, so she man is like
the the little thing that could with all of her
you know, when with all of her milestones, like we
celebrate them big. And so yesterday my sister Jacqueline face

(01:11):
times me and Navy had and was holding by herself
her very first little ice cream cone, you guys, and
it was one of these little Trader Joe's ice cream cones.
And the joy on this baby's face eating her first
ice cream cone by herself was absolutely breathtaking.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
And it just made me stop in all.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
Of the busyness and craziness of my day yesterday, and
it put the biggest smile on my face. I was
in my car in my driveway and I sat there
and just watched her eat this thing and enjoy it
and like it. It was one of those moments that
just made me so grateful. Wow, to not only have her,
but to sit back and say, like you said, Mojo,

(01:58):
it is the little things that we all take for
granted and overlook.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
But maybe I just loved it. Navy brings a lot
of joy to your family, doesn't she. Oh my god,
she is. She is such a gift to us.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
I love her so much.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
Yeah. Your sister and brother in law are special people too, many,
Yes they are. She's pretty awesome. Yeah. Yeah, and your
first ice cream, you know what I mean. And there's
it's funny because I you know, you think about it,
the joy of that taste of the first ice cream,
but the joy also when you said, you know, Navy's

(02:34):
kind of like trying to learn some things holding it. Yeah,
it's a really really big deal and not giving it back.
So that's just your daily reminder.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
This doesn't need to be a big topic, but this
is your daily reminder to maybe just pause at some
point today and have gratitude for something that you normally
take for granted and it's just a part of your
day that's normally rushed, or somebody that you see in
pat you know whatever.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
This is interesting because I know we do tell me
something good, but maybe we do something like the little
things like sometimes you can have the worst things just
happening to you. The world just seems like it's just
bad around you, and then all of a sudden, you
have a moment like that happened to you, or you
see something like I always I fall victim to sitting

(03:19):
and watching tiktoks and reels and all that stuff, and
I'll just watch something. If I saw that for the
first time, I just sit there and cry. And then
you put a Billie Eilish song behind it, and for
some reason it just makes it. Yeah, but it is
really it's it's so cool, and I think that there's
a lot of times we just don't we don't talk
about that enough. You know, you hear, we hear just

(03:40):
the complaining and the the you know, the the craziness.
We don't hear that. We don't hear the navy stories. Yeah, yeah,
that's awesome. Eight four four Mojo Live eight four four
six six five six five four eight you put you
actually shared this with us. And I was looking at
the uh, I was looking at this little picture of her,

(04:01):
and this this picture right here, I don't joy. I
don't know if you can see that, if you mind
showing that, But that right there, she's not a neat eater.
She was really enjoying. She's got a goate chocolate go yah.
It looks like the old Mojo go tea back in
the day, the creepy goatee that I have. But look

(04:22):
at the look on her face. That right there is
one of those situations where you look and you go,
you can't not smile. I want ice cream? Can I
have some ice cream? Right now? Please? What's up? Melissa?

Speaker 3 (04:33):
Hi, Hi, Shannon, thank you so much for sharing your story.
I have a son with special needs. We're your chromosome disorder.
So it's such the little things in life. So thank
you I'm crying.

Speaker 4 (04:47):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
They bring you right back and snappy out of any
anything that you feel like you're going through.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
Well, Lissa, is there is there like one particular thing though,
that will always put a smile on your face when
you when you see your.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
Son, it's a little felt like he always runs out
of school, like he's eleven years old, but he runs
out of school every day.

Speaker 4 (05:08):
It was his arms wide open, mommy, you know, like
that sting like I'm going to miss that one.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
Then fought.

Speaker 4 (05:15):
But over the weekend, my husband was.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
Out of town and my daughter was out of town,
and it was just me and him and she.

Speaker 4 (05:21):
I kept saying, it's you know, nis and mommy, and
he brought it back to me and she came up
to me. It was just me and you, mom, just
me and you. All Right, a little stuff like that
where he recognizes it, it's huge.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
Yeah, it's cute. That's beautiful. Thank you, Lisa, thanks for
sharing with us.

Speaker 5 (05:38):
No Papa, thank you.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
Uh Katrina, what's up pie? Katrina? Are you? We're great?
What's going on? Okay?

Speaker 5 (05:46):
I wanted to tell Shannon. I wanted to tell you
that your sister is an amazing woman. And her husband,
because I know exactly what she's going through. So when
I gave birth to my son, he was diagnosed with epilepsy,
tebal pology, autism and where United disorder the only forty
people in the world that have And they said he
will never walk, he will never talk, he will never
just a bunch of mouth phones up. Now he walks,

(06:07):
he talks. He has over one hundred thousand people as
following on TikTok. He's fifteen years old. The way that
he thrived because I never gave up on him. So
basically all I said was God made me an angel
on earth and he told me to take care of
him and never gave up on him. And that's exactly
how I cheat my son.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
Oh thank you for calling in, of.

Speaker 5 (06:27):
Course, so I know. Thank you so much. Guys, think
that's incredible.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
I appreciate you. Katrina. What's up, Tammy?

Speaker 2 (06:33):
Hi?

Speaker 4 (06:35):
Yeah, my mom has pan granted cancer and she's had
it for sounds terrible, and she's had it for just
over three years. She's almost eighty three, shows be eighty
three next week. And although that sounds like a terrible story,
my niece is getting married and her shower is next week,
and her wedding is in June, and it looks like

(06:57):
my mom's gonna be there.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
How excited is mom for this?

Speaker 4 (07:03):
Uh? Really excited, Excited about her dress, excited to see everybody,
Excited that you know, we're just all gonna be together.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
Enjoy every single minute of that day.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
And congratulations to your family and congratulations to your niece.

Speaker 4 (07:19):
