Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, it's Mojoe in the morning. Something very big

(00:02):
is happening to Kevin today. Today is a big day
for him. Kevin, what are you going to be doing?

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Man?

Speaker 3 (00:08):
After the show today, I'm gonna go get my little
money order cashier's check, and I'm picking up the keys
to my new place. Yes, oh yeah, Man, to move out.
I want to be moved out. My targeted day is
about before Christmas.

Speaker 4 (00:21):
So, and you're moving like five minutes away from this studio.

Speaker 5 (00:24):
Which is a blessing. I'm excited for that.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
So you're getting your you're moving to to Detroit. To Detroit,
So getting back to Detroit where you were born and
raised from living out in the suburbs.

Speaker 6 (00:37):
And uh.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
I asked you a couple of questions. Number one, can
we crash at your pad sometimes?

Speaker 5 (00:46):
I mean, it depends on.

Speaker 3 (00:47):
It depends on the circumstance, but for show, the door
is always open.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
In second question, is it tough for you to do
this move? I know this is a move that comes
with a breakup too.

Speaker 5 (00:58):
Yeah, I know.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
I'm excited, to be honest with you, to move, but
I am aware that that excitement will come and go
at some points. I'm sure, maybe those first couple of
nights when the home is a bit quieter, quieter than
what it once was, and those same voices that I've
come accustomed to listening to and loving won't be there anymore,

(01:18):
reverberating off the walls.

Speaker 5 (01:20):
It'll just be myself.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
But I'm aware that that's going to take place, So
when those emotions hit, hopefully it'll be a softer landing.

Speaker 5 (01:27):
Is he Cherelle moved out of yet or not?

Speaker 3 (01:31):
I think she picking up the keys some I think
and she get her keys today or some of it.
I mean that was always our Our intention was to
live in this place until our leases, which is next month,
and then originally, you know, the idea was to you know,
move out together, get a house.

Speaker 5 (01:47):
But you know, circumstances in life, you know.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
Do you do you guys talk like have you told
her about the place or showing her to the place
or anything.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
Yeah, for sure, she knows, she know a little bit
about it. Yeah, she said it's nice.

Speaker 6 (02:02):
Nice.

Speaker 5 (02:02):
Did she say it like it's nice?

Speaker 3 (02:05):
That's like she could pull up any times you want
to man, come through roaches in hair.

Speaker 5 (02:11):
Not Yeah, it's nice.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
So I'm I'm so excited to decorate has Jose again. No,
he hasn't seen it. I'm gonna pick himup. I'm gonna
pick him up from school today and take it. Okay,
So but he knows that there's a new place coming.
Oh yeah, for sure. He went with me to see
another place and he fell in love with that place
and was like, if you don't move here, and then
I hate you basically, like that promise.

Speaker 5 (02:33):
We gotta come here.

Speaker 6 (02:36):
Like a pool.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
It was the Millinder Center that's attached to the courtyard Maria,
so you have access to their pool into the facilities,
and he was so.

Speaker 7 (02:45):
Look at this ball.

Speaker 5 (02:46):
I hate you. Why did you not? Rent was going crazy.

Speaker 6 (02:49):
I hate you for not runing that place.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
I like this.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
Yeah, I mean I wanted personalized entry and basically I
don't want to have to get on the elevator and
go up.

Speaker 5 (02:57):
I want to I just want to go on the.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
Elevators scare me as especially if fire alarms go off
and stuff like that.

Speaker 5 (03:02):
Yeah, I get it.

Speaker 6 (03:03):
You get on a lower floor.

Speaker 5 (03:05):
I get it.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
And they say there's something to the stairwheel, because that
was my question, like working that quickly, like if a
fire breakout, like what's gonna happen, and something in the
stairwheel based on a concrete or whatever keeps the fire.

Speaker 5 (03:15):
All right.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
So so you're moving to your new place. You got
a new place. How soon will you be asking uh
or anybody to help you move? Because I don't know
if you know I'm leaving town. Yeah, I got some
vacations time here. Listen, treat people how you want to
be treated.

Speaker 3 (03:30):
I don't want to be axed, and I'm not gonna
do any ask and I'm not doing it myself because
the last time I did that, I'm thinking I'm gonna
save some money and do all of that. Hell no,
you're saving money the time that you spend you're back afterwards.

Speaker 5 (03:43):
Like, no, bro, you save money, but you lose friends.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
That's a fact. So I'm gonna hire some folks to
come in. Are you planning on doing the move over
the course? Because I'm assuming you have your place till
at the end of the month.

Speaker 5 (03:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
So I mean like me in January. Oh, you don't
want to be I want to be out about Christmas.
Oh so you actually want to go fast?

Speaker 5 (04:04):
I mean not fast, but like I want to be
out about Christmas.

Speaker 6 (04:08):
Place that's like a big thing.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
Yea, how does that work though? Because you is the
bed yours? Did you say the so you take the bed?
You're that I've had that conversation with her you did
with me. I'm not gonna leave her and Johnny with
out a bed.

Speaker 4 (04:22):
Like so when when my ex husband and I got divorced,
it felt to me like we were I was playing
barbies with my sister when we started dividing everything up.
It was like your turn, you pick, your turn, you pick.
I picked the couch and then he'd be like I
want that chr Like is that what you how you guys?

Speaker 3 (04:39):
Did I walked in This is like two days ago.
Atu I walked into bed room. She was laying on
the bed, she being sure. I was like, all right,
so look this, this is all I want. And then
I rattled everything off and she was like, okay, yeah,
so it was it wasn't any contention. Did she ask
for anything that you wanted? When we first started talking
about it last year, my cousin Christina, you know why

(05:00):
pause Christina, My cousin Christina, who's become very close with Shari.
That's why pause, And you know what I mean? Yeah,
but what does that mean? They will get into it?
They bought, they bought it. They being drawing. Christina bought
this cold ass air fryer that we never used. So
I'm like, I'm taking the air fryer. Sure, like, no
you not. I'm like, ain't my cousins like that? I'm

(05:20):
buying you know so, but I don't care give it
air I want to tell you anywhere.

Speaker 4 (05:24):
Drew Barrymore air frier at Walmart is thirty nine dollars
on sale right now, go get it.

Speaker 5 (05:30):
They Drew Berry Moore one. They got a new one
with the deep frar.

Speaker 7 (05:34):
Yeah, if you really want a game, change your good
one that has two different baskets with two different controls.

Speaker 6 (05:40):
Bott'll change your wife.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
I uh can I ask you with this new place?
Are you going to cause I know you are, you're
a dad, right, okay? Are you going to decorate it
like a dad? Or are you going to decorate it
like a dude? Are you going to decorate it like
a single guy? Because you are going to be single
and I know you say that you're going to take
your time. You're not going to go out there and stuff.
Are you gonna like are you gonna have like the
beaded like doorway like that.

Speaker 7 (06:04):
Bro.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
The thing that I'm most excited about is when you
first walk in, there's like this little area before the kitchen,
and that is going to be like my meditation space.
So I'm excited to have this peaceful environment that will
have virtually no technology unless I put like an old
record player in there, or when I need to go
and I need to think and I need to get
in my prayer bag, like that will be my spot.

(06:26):
I'm very excited about that. Dude, I just want to
bathroom that kids don't come in. You're getting a meditation
space there.

Speaker 5 (06:32):
Yeah, that's the thing I'm most excited about.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
And we mentioned on the show, like as a as
a guy, you when you live with your your spouse,
your significant other, if you live with a woman, nine
times out of ten, you have no visual representation of
your personality in that place.

Speaker 5 (06:49):
Everything is hurt.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
So I'm very excited to have the opportunity to fill
this home up with things that represent and make me
feel like me.

Speaker 5 (06:56):
Yeah. But that's interesting.

Speaker 1 (06:57):
I like I always thought that if I was ever,
you know, because I really never had I had my
apartment before I met Chelsea and then once I met Chelsea,
we got married whatever. It was like my first big
apartment and I had no decorations because I had no money,
and I often thought like if I had money and
could decorate, what would I do? I got boxes in
the garage. Do you how many how many Lebron pictures

(07:19):
are going to be on the wall? And how many
I do have?

Speaker 5 (07:22):
I think I have like three or four Lebron I
might do.

Speaker 6 (07:26):
That was just that is the biggest turn on THO.

Speaker 7 (07:27):
When a guy has a nicely decorated apartment, I'm like.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
What do you think when a guy has like all
sports crap all over the place, like memorabilia.

Speaker 6 (07:36):
I love it.

Speaker 7 (07:37):
If you're going to do it, do it well, like
get in frames, like do it really well?

Speaker 5 (07:42):
Actually, and it's not going to look like a shrine.

Speaker 7 (07:45):
Like let's be clear like this, I'll show you pictures
of a dude's apartment and you can tell me how
hot you think he is just based on these photos
of right, I'll show to all of you.

Speaker 6 (07:55):
So this was like one of.

Speaker 5 (07:56):
Them, that's that's decorating. Oh my god, that it looks
like a yeah.

Speaker 6 (08:02):
And then I'll tell you, but holy.

Speaker 3 (08:06):
To my house this guy's place looks like a restoration
of hardware.

Speaker 6 (08:10):
I want to do you want to have children? You know,
like I'll have I'll tell you.

Speaker 1 (08:17):
Was it a furnished apartment and he just moved into it?

Speaker 6 (08:21):
It is? Okay, okay, it was.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
He's a gay man, isn't he? No, No, that's a
straight man. Oh my god. But Kevin, I want to know.
I want to know this because of this is a
big you're you know, it's a big step for you.
This is a big one. You're moving out, you move
into a new place, you know what I mean? Like
it's this is a big one. Will you have and
take with you any pictures from you and Cherrella or not?

Speaker 3 (08:44):
I mean, we don't have a lot of physical pictures up,
Like we have one physical picture that's in our bathroom, but.

Speaker 5 (08:51):
I'm not in that.

Speaker 1 (08:53):
But why would he put up pictures of him in
But I'm asking because his relationships they're still friends, right,
you guys just still.

Speaker 5 (08:59):
Call Yeah, But I understand that. But he's not going
to put up four No, But I'm saying, like, who's
taking stuff like that?

Speaker 3 (09:05):
We literally have one physical picture of it, and you're
not a bathroom And if she doesn't take it, the
landlord is going to get it.

Speaker 5 (09:12):
Do you think she'll take it? I have no idea.

Speaker 3 (09:14):
I mean, I got a thousand pictures of her on
my phone, and she does have this thing called Instagram,
so if I do need to go look at her.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
You did say this. I thought I respect you for this.
You said you're not deleting any pictures from the past.
And for those that don't, no, no, that yeah, that
you can listen back to the top.

Speaker 6 (09:29):
I take it just from a frame.

Speaker 5 (09:31):
Suzanne, what's up? Susanna? Oh Mojoe.

Speaker 6 (09:35):
You know my name is Susan.

Speaker 5 (09:37):
Oh Susan. I don't know it. I just said Susanne.

Speaker 1 (09:40):
There's there's a few Susans that call the show, and
I'm sorry, but will you list put her in there?
Hold on, put her down there as young Susan. Put
zan z. Susan, what's up?

Speaker 8 (09:54):
Well? I just wanted to call in and tell keV
that coming from a divorce with it's I think that
you are handling this so well. I think you and
your family are going to have nothing but blessings coming.
I think that your son is going to praise the
both of you for the way that you have handled
this breakup in the way that you handle your co parenting.

(10:16):
I just think it's a refreshing to hear it from
a male's perspective, because from a woman's perspective of going
through divorce, there's just a lot of negative things about
men coming out of divorce or out of a relationship.
And you are just doing so well and you guys
are going to be blessed so much.

Speaker 5 (10:33):
I appreciate that. Thank you.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
Do you think Kep should hang Lebron on the wall?
I think that's a bad idea. But Dwight, what's up?

Speaker 5 (10:43):
What's Mojo? What's morning?

Speaker 2 (10:47):
Uh? Because I want to say first time, long time
at the live podcast.

Speaker 5 (10:56):
Also, yeah, very nice. Yes, we'll do another one and
then on next.

Speaker 2 (11:00):
Year and me and my wife will be there. But
to call to your respect, you mentioned having a little
space in your new apartment. By the way, congratulations on that.
You mentioned having a little space in your new apartment
where there wouldn't be any technology, where you could go
to pray and think and things like that. Some, at

(11:22):
least quite a few people that I know.

Speaker 5 (11:25):
Call it a war room. Oh that's cool.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
So there's a there's a small like Black Movie.

Speaker 5 (11:33):
Yeah, I talk about that.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
Yeah, but they call it a war room. It's kind
of where you go you can feel pressures of the day,
pressures of life, and you can kind of go and
kind of be stressed and plan your next move and
pray to your Lord and all of that things and
kind of be able to kind of be able to

(11:57):
regain your strengths.

Speaker 5 (11:58):
That's that's cool.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
Again. I'm happy you, bro.

Speaker 5 (12:06):
Dwight.

Speaker 1 (12:07):
Can he have the picture of Lebron up in the
war room? How do we decorate? You might love Lebron?

Speaker 5 (12:12):
Not do got his name in your mom?

Speaker 1 (12:15):
Are you going to give an extra key to somebody, like,
because you know you always got to give a key
to somebody just in case you get locked out?

Speaker 5 (12:20):
Like, well, if you want, I'll take it. Hell no,
how about mom? Probably my mom will probably give you.

Speaker 3 (12:26):
You know the first thing I would do if you
gave me an extra key, don't you You would be in here.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
I'd give it to your dad. I would be in
there your dad. By the way, I think your dad
and I are going to hang out before Christmas. Hey
have fun ys on Instagram Live. We're very proud of you.
Kevin appreciated and we're exciting and we and we love
to Charrell. We love Charrelle, I love char And just

(12:52):
know this that I know it's saying easy. I know
that you do give yourself like you're you're built up
and stuff. But I know this is tough for you.
I can tell that it's been tough again. We broke
up in June.

Speaker 3 (13:04):
This is like new to everybody else, but I've had
my tougher moments. And like I said it, every day
won't be sunshine. But I can confidently say that I'm
at a point where I can consistently be have higher
highs than lower lows.

Speaker 5 (13:19):
That's great. I can I can choose my smiles versus
my cries. I love it.

Speaker 1 (13:24):
Well, I'm choosing my smile right now because I'm happy
for you, and I got a place that I can
stay down here. Then I can jingle ball. I don't
have to go all the way back out to the
suburbs after
