Speaker 1 (00:00):
Okay, it's Mojo in the morning show, Home of War,
The Roses, Second Date Update and of course The Dirty
on the thirty. Kevin called me last night. He was
over at Josiah's mom's house, Jasmine at her house, and
he had this crazy idea, and I said, bringing up
on the air and we'll see if anybody thinks this

(00:21):
is a good idea.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
Go ahead.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
So what do you guys think about next week? One day,
one morning, Yes, want me to start over, and it's
ever going to talk, explain what happened. And then so yesterday,
so I try to pick Josiah from school as often
as I can.

Speaker 4 (00:35):
That's my opportunity to spend time with him.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
And I am unable to spend the night with him
because I can't wake up and take him to school
because I'm here. So Jasmine is bearing the brunt of
you know, primarily being the one that has to do
all the homework, has got to study all the tests,
got to wake him up in the morning. And I
pick him up yesterday, take him over to her house.
I stay a bit longer, starting to do some homework,

(00:59):
and I don't know how the conversation started, but he
went to her he's like standing over her. She's sitting
down on the couch, and he's like, I don't like
you because when I look at you, I think of
me having to wake up and go to school in
the morning. Like his entire mindset in terms of their
relationship is all school related, like you gotta do your homework,

(01:20):
you gotta like that.

Speaker 4 (01:21):
They don't have any fun time. They don't have any
mother and son time.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
From his perspective in that moment, that goes beyond education
and school is tough. It's a different atmosphere, it's a
harder curriculum, so it's a bit of an adjustment period
for him. And it crushed her, Like you could tell
her face like she was sad and.

Speaker 4 (01:39):
I was trying to, like, you know, do my thing.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
So time goes by, She's like I got an idea,
And immediately I was like I knew exactly what she
was gonna say. And I was like, let's witch places,
let's whitch places. Yeah, you go do my job, you
go to the radio station, and you spend the morning
doing what I do. And I'll spend the night preparing

(02:01):
with Josiah, and I'll take him to school in the morning.

Speaker 4 (02:04):
Unless trade places.

Speaker 5 (02:06):
I love this just for FUNI I love that.

Speaker 4 (02:08):
No, it's so good, it's good for your what each other?
How do I know that Jasmine is going to be
any interesting to hang out with?

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Runs n we lose Kevin's energy, Yeah, but we could
still talk to keV throughout the morning to see how
it's going.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
And then I'll come back after I drop him off.
I'll come in so jet.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
So your thing is you are going to prove to
Josiah that it's not his mom that's being mean. It's
what you have to do to get you off to
school and all that stuff. And so you're gonna equally
be like what Jasmine is, or you're gonna be fun dad.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
Are you gonna be fun dad? Absolutely? Yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:46):
And you're gonna let him go late and you're gonna start.

Speaker 3 (02:50):
It's not gonna change anything, but it'll hopefully make her
feel a bit better.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
It's not gonna change anything. It's gonna make her worse.

Speaker 5 (02:56):
He's gonna be like dad, taking me to school is
the best.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
Fun you get, tim Bits.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
And we show up late and he writes me, I
forget this note, might not even go to school.

Speaker 4 (03:07):
He's surpriser and come in here.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
It is wild from a guy that you know has
a family where mom always was the one taking him
to school and doing everything like that. And I never
realized how difficult it is to wake kids up because
I never had to do that because I was always
here at work ahead of time. But it is a
pain in the ass getting your kids out of bed.
Talk about like hitting snooze alarms. They just sit there

(03:28):
and they scream non stop that they don't want to
get up.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
And that's what I'm hearing from Josiah, like it's like
he'll get up there. There are mornings where she doesn't
have to wake him up, like he'll set his alarm.
He knows, I gotta go brush my teeth, take my
shower if I didn't do it the night before, My
clothes are laid out. Let me make me some breakfast.
There are those mornings. But then there's the other side.
There's the ying to the yang, whereas the I don't
want to get up, No I don't, I just fell.

Speaker 4 (03:52):
This is that old.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
Do you support her by saying, hey, no, get your
get you.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
There's only been one time where he's in and say
I don't want to go to school. And I've said,
let's see what your mom says. Usually there's usually what
would you respond on the time, I'm like, get your ass.
I've tried not to say it like that, but we
have our responsibilities. This is a part of it, like
encouraging it that. But absolutely you're you're taking your ass
of school.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Yeah, when I've been off and I've had to do this,
you know, or got to do the school thing where
I got to take them to school. It is fun
to take them to school, like it is cool. But
I'm going to tell you that would get old fast,
Like it would because because they are grouchy in the morning,
like I got to pick them up in the afternoon,
and usually in the afternoon they were just quiet or

(04:38):
sometimes they would you know, when they were younger, they
would talk not stop. When they were teenagers or like
middle school like your son is, and through high school
they just didn't talk much.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
Joe got a good ten to fifteen minutes and then
he'll go to sleep.

Speaker 5 (04:50):
My favorite memories growing up were when my mom would
take me to school every Friday and we would listen
to your show.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
Really yeah, it was like the best thing we because
normally Donald, how would you get to school.

Speaker 5 (04:59):
I would take the US. But on Fridays it would
be like Mom and Nana Street, we would go to McDonald's.
We would listen to Mojo in the morning.

Speaker 6 (05:05):
It was I was like, I only took the bus.
I never got rides. My mom never woke up for
us to make breakfast or anything. We were on our own,
starting in like second craze. Well, you know what's funny
is I always kind of picture that. That was what
it was like at the house too, was that Chelsea
was getting them up and she was making a nice
breakfast and doing all the rest of this stuff. And

(05:25):
usually it was she was trying to get them up
and last minute they're racing out of the house with
wet hair and you know, and bitching and moaning about
the whole thing. So it's not kind of like that.
But what's gonna happen?

Speaker 7 (05:36):
You?

Speaker 4 (05:36):
I thought you would love this, to be honest with So.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
I would love it if Jasmine will answer all my questions.
That's what I thought about you. I want to ask
questions and I would like to get to know her.
So I actually do kind of like it. My only
fear with this is then it becomes Shannon coming to
me next and then saying, Shannon wants to now do this.

Speaker 6 (05:57):
Well, remember West isn't working right now, so he could
stay the whole day time at home.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
So that or then Beyonca and Lydia and Anna going hey,
you know, I want to switch you know, next thing,
I know, I'm gonna have Yeah, I'm gonna have pops here,
Lydia's mom, you know, Bianca's dad. Al, It's like everybody's like,
all right, guys, who am I doing a morning show
at There's what's going on? Eight four four Mojo Live.
I want to know what your thoughts are on this one.

(06:23):
And also I want to know is there a parent
that is the bad parent? Because the parent has to
be the person to do the tough work, you know,
the the not so you know, fun stuff all the time.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
Josiah changes when I'm around, And there was this period
where he would just be like increasingly more happy.

Speaker 4 (06:42):
Yeah, like you could just tell his disposition. He was energetic.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
There was like a lot of joy, like this this
crazy kid energy when we were together, and that kind
of spills over in times where that energy isn't required,
where we need to calm down, focus and do our homework.
And Jack is a very structured individual, so she knows
what time she wants to get started. She needs him
to focus. And when I'm around, even though I'm trying

(07:06):
to get him to do homework, it's still laughing and giggling,
so it sounds if we're doing it together. I can't
even really do the homework because he's still.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
On a play.

Speaker 6 (07:14):
I called you yesterday and you were trying to do
homework with him, and it was funny because you kept
saying to him, like I heard you saying focus, and
then I thought it was funny.

Speaker 4 (07:24):
keV was like, I got chat GPT pulled up. Are
you doing algebra?

Speaker 1 (07:30):
Are you calling any of these textures? Or should I
just read these off? Because of they've been sitting here.

Speaker 5 (07:34):
But yeah, they can't talk.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
That's why, all right?

Speaker 1 (07:36):
So four one nine says, why can't Kevin have Josiah
do his homework right after school so that he can
have fun time with his mom at night?

Speaker 3 (07:46):
So those moments Josiah likes to have his chill toime,
He doesn't that's what he calls it. He doesn't like
to come home and immediately get back to work like
he needs, like a little break or a refresher, So
give him like.

Speaker 4 (07:59):
An hour, hour and a half or something like that.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
Really, then why don't you get the homework done right
after that?

Speaker 3 (08:03):
What I want to say, after the hour and a half,
that's when we start homework.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
Another texture here at three one three says, all of
you guys should trade places.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
So I guess we trade places with.

Speaker 5 (08:13):
Our what Chelsea run the show there you go.

Speaker 1 (08:16):
By the way, the show would never be late. I
just want you to know that we would never get
into a commercial break lay. Another one here says I
agree with Jasmine on the fact that it sucks when
you're the parent that has to get the kids off
to school that you become just a disciplinarian.

Speaker 4 (08:32):
What's up, Angie? What's going on?

Speaker 2 (08:34):
How you doing?

Speaker 8 (08:37):
Hello?

Speaker 2 (08:38):
Hi Angie?

Speaker 1 (08:39):
Hi, how are you guys?

Speaker 5 (08:41):
Good morning?

Speaker 2 (08:41):
We're good, good morning.

Speaker 7 (08:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (08:43):
I think this would be a good idea because it
gives us the opportunity to know you guys outside.

Speaker 8 (08:49):
In the morning.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
I like it.

Speaker 1 (08:50):
Here's a ding you know that when Josiah's mom comes
in here, which, by the way, is you know Kevin's
also acts. He doesn't really talk about this, but they
did kind of have a thing with each other.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
They didn't just make Josiah. I want to know about.

Speaker 1 (09:04):
I want to know about the times that Kevin was
you know, how long were they together?

Speaker 4 (09:08):
Like, I don't know, you were never together. I'm telling you.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
So you guys were just FN buddies. Yes, all right,
then I want to find out about that. I want
to know, So, how many times did you have sex
with her before Josiah was conceived? Okay, but so that's
more than fin buddies.

Speaker 4 (09:22):
But we never were.

Speaker 3 (09:23):
Like she's a lady, absolutely, and she hates when I
talk about something.

Speaker 1 (09:27):
Well, I'm gonna I'm gonna have to ask her. I'm
gonna tell her. She's gonna hate me after this. What's up, Mandy,
how you doing?

Speaker 8 (09:33):
Hey?

Speaker 10 (09:34):
Yeah, I just wanted to say how it's kind of
funny because I do remember Chelsea being on the show
and you didn't seem to have any problems with that.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
No, No, I did have problems with that. But for
the sake of my marriage.

Speaker 7 (09:48):
That's great.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
I think it's great. We should do more. And honestly,
I do like this idea a lot, I really do.

Speaker 1 (09:53):
But I think that Kevin needs to step up as
a dad, Kevin having needs to step up as a
dad and uh and be more, you know, forceful with
Josiah and not just be the fun parent.

Speaker 4 (10:08):
I am forceful, Okay, that's why.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
That's why he looks at his mom as being.

Speaker 4 (10:14):
They do say kids thrive with structure.

Speaker 1 (10:17):
Yeah I'm not. I'm not structured, but I am. You
let him stay up until what time? And uh play
if it's the weekend.

Speaker 3 (10:24):
Yeah, I don't care.

Speaker 2 (10:28):
What's up?

Speaker 4 (10:29):
Ray?

Speaker 11 (10:29):
Hi?

Speaker 5 (10:30):
Hi, first time time?

Speaker 2 (10:38):
Good morning.

Speaker 5 (10:39):
I would love.

Speaker 11 (10:40):
To change places with my son's father. Mind you, My
son is only four, so he loves me, but I
gotta take in the school every morning, I pick him
up every day. His dad is just can't help but
be hisself. So he's just not fun.

Speaker 2 (10:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 11 (10:56):
Yeah, yeah, So even when I'm having to, the still
wants to stay with me.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
And yeah, no, I that that is interesting, isn't it
that it brings up a whole thing level of this
with your significant other. I think you almost need to
say to them, all right, you're doing this for a
week just so you can see what I got to
go through.

Speaker 11 (11:17):
I wish I wish she had no idea.

Speaker 1 (11:20):
It's not the slightest clube textra seven three four says Shannon, Uh,
thank you for the call. I appreciate you, right. Text
seven three four says Shannon. Did you ever experience something
like this too.

Speaker 6 (11:33):
Where I wanted to switch because you have a You
have a sitter, right that helps to skin them off?

Speaker 11 (11:38):
Yep.

Speaker 6 (11:38):
I have a sitter that that comes to my house
at five, so like just after I leave, and she
does like the school drop off for the most part.

Speaker 4 (11:46):
Do you the kids ever fight with the sitter on
some Lucy is.

Speaker 6 (11:50):
A little mini me, so she wakes up at six
thirty is ready to go. Smith is the tough one
that is so hard to get up and get going.
But the days that I do have often get to
do the school drop off. I do kind of love it. Yeah, yeah,
I do kind of love that time. What's up Melanie?

Speaker 8 (12:08):
Hello, Hi Hi.

Speaker 12 (12:11):
I think that Josiah has the best of both worlds,
having both sides with the parent. I have five kids,
they're adults now, and it was the same way when
we were raising our kids, and they get what they
need on each side and it all balances out in
the long run.

Speaker 1 (12:27):
Yeah, I think about it. Yeah, what's up, Kara?

Speaker 10 (12:30):
Hi?

Speaker 4 (12:32):
Hi?

Speaker 9 (12:33):
I was just.

Speaker 10 (12:33):
Calling to have mentioned the language kind of has been
using lately. I know he just mentioned it when he
was resigned referring to Josiah's mom. But driving to school yesterday,
my six year old from the backseat goes, hey, mom,
is this bad word? Where you hear that? He goes,
they just said it on the radio.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
It was me, No, we didn't say we didn't say
the word. We just add said, you know, kind of
a what what what word? Did Kevin just say? That's
that's the language that you were talking about?

Speaker 10 (13:05):
Well, right now, I thought like he called her his buddy.

Speaker 2 (13:12):
Well that's what he's treating her like.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
You know, we didn't really date, we didn't even do anything,
but we have a child there, Antonio.

Speaker 2 (13:22):
What's up. It's Mojo in the morning.

Speaker 9 (13:25):
Hey, hey guys, first time, long time.

Speaker 2 (13:29):
What's buddy? Okay?

Speaker 9 (13:31):
So I just I just wanted to comment real quick
because like, right now, I'm gonna stay at home, deb,
I'm in the process of taking the kids to school
right now. I got I got two of them in school,
and then the then the little one he's in.

Speaker 4 (13:41):
The car seat.

Speaker 9 (13:42):
But uh, this is the day in and day out
process for us. Like right now, my wife, she uh,
you know, like she's a team league, you know, like
at a retail store. She does most of the you
know like field paying and everything, and I do my
chipping in. But then I also have my role, you know,
And I mean it's it seems to just works for us.
If it works for you, then you know what I mean,

(14:03):
like just just go with it. You know, obviously you
have to chip in and you know, like do your part.
You know, when it comes to school and everything, that's
there is no just one person doing that, you know
what I mean. Like, but when there are roles involved,
you know, like it's you know, like it should just
it should just be you know what it is. And
if it works, then hey.

Speaker 1 (14:22):
Is there the thing where your kids look at you
as more of the mean parent versus.

Speaker 9 (14:28):
Because I have a sense of urgency, right you know,
like I'm the one getting up first thing in the
morning and getting everybody going, So it means kind of
soul yeah, you know what I mean. Like, but but
I still have that I said, I have that bubbly
personality about me just because I'm animated, you know what
I mean. Like, but there is some there is some
extra Discitionnaria to it.

Speaker 1 (14:48):
Okay, all right, very cool Atlas, Alas, what's up?

Speaker 7 (14:54):
Hey, I was just calling to say, you know, I'm
a stay at home mom and I'm the mean parent,
I guess, and dad gets to do everything fun with them,
you know, take them the concerts, kicks them up and
they just have a blast, and I'm always yelling and
hurry up, let's go.

Speaker 4 (15:11):
And we also have.

Speaker 7 (15:13):
A new baby, so I'm just running like a crazy
lady all.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
The time and it's probably exhausted.

Speaker 7 (15:18):
One gets fun and then they want to be with
him because I'm mean. So it is what it is.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
You know what, have him take that baby and alleviate
some of the stress from you when you're doing all
the stuff with those guys.

Speaker 7 (15:32):
Yeah, but he works, he's he's the provider.

Speaker 1 (15:35):
So okay, but well, you know what, you guys make
a great team, Alicia.

Speaker 8 (15:41):
We did.

Speaker 9 (15:42):
We definitely do.

Speaker 10 (15:43):
We try our best, all.

Speaker 2 (15:44):
Right, Rick, real quick, Rick wants to say something, what's up?

Speaker 4 (15:46):
Ricky?

Speaker 8 (15:49):
I tigure the first time, Well, campus take them to
school to say, I'm gonna get up at three in
the morning, going.

Speaker 2 (15:59):
To grow on him.

Speaker 1 (16:00):
Guess who guess who's gonna be stay at home, daddy.

Speaker 8 (16:06):
All right, let's go have for today.

Speaker 4 (16:08):
Yeah right, Rick, all right, thanks.

Speaker 1 (16:11):
And by the way, if he does this, he's coming
to work right afterwards.

Speaker 3 (16:15):
I don't want to hear Kevin like hanging out. You know,
this is this is how you sneak a day off.
What I'm having to put in Pt.
